We get to see the future of Arsenal on display today, enjoy!

by & filed under Uncategorized.

England play Wales today in what looks to be Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere versus Wales captain Aaron Ramsey!

I’m actually looking forward to watching a game that I don’t care who wins, as long as Arsenal do, it’s win, win for me! I wonder if we’ll see future Arsenal talents on display with the likes of Scott Parker, Phil Jagielka and maybe even Cahill, at least it doesn’t matter what the outcome is, we can at least expect some favourable comments in the Sunday papers!

I can’t wait to see a regular Arsenal line up with those two gems in it, I won’t have to watch Denilson, Squillaci, Diaby, Bendtner or Almunia screwing up today, this is about the Arsenal and we can’t blow the title race either way.

I wonder what the new kits will be like next season, I really like the home kit right now and will be a little upset if we mess with that one, the away kit I never liked so I shan’t be sorry to see that one go.

So there you have it, I mentioned todays international and talked about kits, even in the off season we can at least debate who we won’t be signing! It a slow day isn’t it?

Wenger finally came out and told us what we all knew, Almunia cost us the game, how many times has that happened and how long do we have to suffer it, last season our centrebacks cost us and we bought 89 year old Sol Campbell in to help, this season we got a 40 year old keeper, nice one Arsene, though I will say Sol helped us no end and I have no doubt Jens will this time, but let’s not forget that he made a whole bunch of howlers we he was here in his last season and we were screaming for Almunia in the first place, we all were, go on, admit it!

At least Lehmann was right when he said Almunia wasn’t a proper keeper.

I’m guessing we’ll have to wait until the summer to see if the manager has learned from his errors but I’m not holding my breath. Today I’ll be watching our two stars of the future hoping they will show enough to terrify defences that we have yet to play.

I think these two are the nuts, I really do, the way they play should be an inspiration to the hapless players that we have that don’t ever try.

Have a great day you two and for goodness sake stay un-injured, you football club needs you!

Have a great day grovers, England to beat Sri Lanka, Lewis to qualify on the front row and our two top, top stars to have a blinder and stay injury free!

KM you need to make your mind up if your Welsh or Pakistani. Spoilt for choice.

Kush, I really only care about the football. going home because of depression makes me feel sick, cowardly cunt, living in Japan would give you depression, having 3 months is the sun is a privilege. What a wanker, cricketers eh!

  2. Rohan

lol, England weren’t even able to salvage any pride.

In other news, Pendulum were absolutely mind-blowing last night.

  3. KM

    Damn

    SL thrashed England

The English will remember this thrashing for generations ;-)

    ——

On the other hand Wales are being schooled by England….i never thought i’d be saying this! ;-)

England can enjoy this…when they come up against a decent side, we’l see how rubbish they are ;-)

  4. Geoff

KM I don’t care, we also got beaten by East Pakistan in the group stages. You must remember East Pakistan, we gave you that in 1947.

Test cricket is where it’s at, we beat everyone there.

  5. JJ

Please (please) no injuries to the Arsenal this weekend… not just LJW and Ramsey.

Maybe I need to clarify… I wouldn’t mind so much if Denilson did a neck injury head-spinning or if Squirrel and ran into Clownmunia (Sagna/DJ style) and were both put on bed-rest. No need to comment on Diaby, he will probably break a nail and be sidelined indefinitely.

  6. KM

    Geoff

    I remember East Pakistan

No difference between the British Empire back then and what the Americans are doing now….only the names have changed ;-)

  7. JJ

Look at Geoff with his history knowledge… “Ceylon”

I am more messed up than all of you. This is how I decide who to back:
    Born: Scotland – Rugby
    Parents: Sri Lankan – Cricket
    Raised: Australia – Everything else
    Living/Married: American – Hmmm… I’ve got nothing…

  8. Geoff

Good luck KM you and all the others from that part of the world no doubt!

I would be the same if I was sent to Australia! What ever country you’re from and wherever you are born dissing someone’s anthem is piss poor, I hope you agree, if it happened in the sub continent I bet they would string them up.

The commentators didn’t say a word, had it been the other way around they would have talked about that more than the game the pair of pc cunts.

    Can’t accuse me of that!

  9. Geoff

KM the difference was, we used to win, the Americans though…

JJ my wife was born in Ceylon and we went there after the Tsunami. Fucked up roads though and way too many road blocks. Nice gem stones though.

  10. KM

I agree it was bad but these things happen sometimes in sport esp. when there’s an intense rivalry between 2 sides like England v Wales.

Btw I was born in Wales ;-)

  11. KM

    Geoff

    its not abt winning/losing

its abt illegally occupying someone else’s country

No-one has a right to do that

  12. Geoff

KM when we did it everyone was occupying countries, look at the Mughals, they were from Persia, remember the Peacock throne? They stole it and took it back, the Shah of iran sat on it. Then occupied what is now Pakistan, I think I’m right aren’t I?

Anyway two things, I know you were born in Wales and the Welsh were originally English, should we ask for it back? Fuck no, keep it!

If the English fans had done that at Wembley, I would be ashamed, I guarantee they’ll do it now, and they’ll be pilloried for it, you watch.

  13. Dial Square

A Muslim farmer has been caught shagging a sheep in Wales…………….When questioned he said it was islamb and he could do what he fucking liked with it.

  14. KM

    Geoff

The mughals were from central Asia….the area we call Eurasia (Uzbekistan/Kazakhs etc)

Welsh were not English….but before all this England/Wales thing etc it was all tribal areas/ fiefdoms so we dnt need to argue abt it. we could go on and on.

    ;-)

Kush, read that, we were both right. I hate Google because I do my stuff from memory. Also when they had it away with the Peacock throne, they took it to Persia.

Babur the first Mughal Emperor, was a descendent of Genghis Khan and Tamerlaine.

Babur succeeded his father as ruler of the state of Farghana in Turkestan when he was only 12, although he was swiftly deposed by older relatives.

Babur moved into Afghanistan in 1504, and then moved on to India, apparently at the invitation of some Indian princes who wanted to dispose of their ruler. Babur disposed of the ruler, and decided to take over himself.

He captured the Turkic Ghur’iat Sultanate of Delhi in 1526, imposing his rule on most of Northern India.

The Empire he founded was a sophisticated civilisation based on religious toleration. It was a mixture of Persian, Mongol and Indian culture.

    Geoff

Persianization or Persianisation is a sociological process of cultural change in which something non-Persian becomes Persianate. It is a specific form of cultural assimilation that often includes linguistic assimilation. The term applies not only to cultures, but also to individuals, as they acclimate to the Persian culture.

Historically, the term was commonly applied to changes in the culture of non-Iranic peoples living within the Iranic cultural sphere, especially during the early and middle-Islamic periods such as Arabs, and various Caucasian and Turkic peoples including the Seljuqs and Ghaznavids.[1][2] The term has also been applied to the transmission of aspects of Persian culture, including language, to the non-Persian peoples in area surrounding Persia, such as Turkey, Afghanistan and Central Asia.

  21. Kushagra India

Geoff agree wid u just different names in different times but originally they were turks and got persianised IMO…

  22. Mayank

Geoff really knows his history but he also thinks Ghengis Khan was a great man and Indians are the same race as Europeans. Can’t win ‘em all I guess.

Dial a square – I was being sarcastic re. The cultured comment

Geoff – u can’t change history to suit ur argument ;-)

  24. Black Hand Ninja

jeez, are people still crying about Cahill?? He’s so average!!! lol. Parker’s a decent shout though.

  25. Black Hand Ninja

Why does everyone lick Gary Cahill’s nuts so much?? I’d like to know lol.

I mean, I made a habit of watching Bolton games to see what the fuss was about, and I still don’t see it. He is just an average English central defender. Is that it? Because he is English?? Wack…..

Jagielka would be a slightly better option, but I’d rather we pay £15 million for Sakho or Subotic if we pay that much for a defender. We’d even be better off with the other Belgian dude from Ajax.

  26. SUGA3

    BHN,

I don’t think Cahill is all that and neither is Jagielka…

presuming TV comes back fit, we just need a big fuck off defender to rotate with Djourou, we have two of the ‘small’n'pacy’ kind in TV & Koz…

  27. Black Hand Ninja

True…..Subotic would be great, he has the height (6 foot 4) and the awareness. My pick would be Sakho though, he’s built like a behemoth, good in the air, and quick on the ground.

Who would you pick? I mean, I have a hard time looking at who we should sign who actually plays in the Premier League. I truly believe our squad isn’t as bad as we make it seem to be. A lack of true steel could be argued, but in terms of ability and depth, not many can compete. Otherwise, we wouldn’t be second. Truly, I believe it is a collective attitude problem, as well as a fitness problem within the club.

I’m a firm believer that negative energy from any source can corrupt the atmosphere around us, and it’s important that we as fans really truly get behind the team at the moment, then make our judgements and criticisms later.

Who would you sign as defender?

  28. SUGA3

even though I was pretty impressed with Sakho I would go for Subotic: taller and right footed…

I know some will say that two left footers can play in defence, I will not disagree, but will also say that it’s not ideal…

  29. zeus

    Kush

Got some spare time on my hands, so watching that Udaan film. Almost halfway in and the father is a total cunt.

    Seems a good film though.

  30. zeus

    Suga

Neither are all that for sure(jagielka or Cahill) but prem experience counts for a lot.

Additionally, I’m not sure an under 25 player no matter his potential (subotic) should cone in.

They say we need team leaders. The likes of sakho

  31. zeus

……sakho and rodwell and subotic will do nothing in that regard.

I have no idea of leaders out there, but experience us telling. Inler, how about him. Hazard is young but there us something about him. Would bring much needed directness and pace outside the TW14 department.

Again, it’s about time rhe game produced another Zidane/laudrup ffs. Let’s find him.

Scouting report in about 44 minutes. Let’s see who the argies have. How good is that pastore guy( again too young for us I think)

  32. zeus

    Maciek

Never saw even half of the game. Martin Tyler said he caught the eye yet again.

Few on here said while boring as a whole, jack did brighten the game up a bit.

  33. SUGA3

    zeus,

they say Bartley is quite a leader!

    Szczesny/Fabianski/Mannone

    Bac/Ebowie
    Djou/Bartley
    TV/Koz
    Clichy/Gibbs

    Song/Rodwell
Nasri/Cesc (or a top player like Schweinsteiger if he goes)
    LJW/Ramsey

    RvP/Benzema
    Chamakh/JET
    AA/Vela

room for two more players like Lansbury and, say, Frimpong

  34. SUGA3

and might play Bartley with TV, so that the latter was the ‘cooler head’, not to break up Djou + Koz partnership, which is not half bad…

  35. SUGA3

Bartley was doing a good job in the Jocko league until he got injured, no?

he’s 19, the better, he will not be using up the squad limit, eh?

  36. Black Hand Ninja

Sakho is captain of PSG. I don’t think we should question his leadership credentials just yet.

People are overrating this age thing enormously. A lack of experience can count against you, but this is more about plugging technical gaps rather than looking for a quick fix for something the whole team can attain anyway.

  37. Black Hand Ninja

LOL. Subotic is a great defender, would be happy with him in our side too. He doesn’t seem slow which is a plus.

My biggest concern with Arsenal at this current point is the alarming rate of injuries that we have. Surely we should have a stronger regime in place. Give ‘em some kettlebells and resitance intervals (Diaby did those in the summer. He did actually come back fitter, but he got stamped on and hasn’t really recovered so far this season. Needs another pre-season to get back into his stride).

  38. Black Hand Ninja

I’d be disappointed to see Diaby leave TBH. I’ve always liked Diaby as a player, but he has been sloppy recently. I still think I would keep him, he’s got the ability, just needs to stay fit IMO.

Denilson, I would get rid of ASAP.

  39. SUGA3

    BHN,

I love Diaby on his day, but he is yet to have one this season and hit fitness is beyong joke…

he got injured about five years ago and returned around four: how long?

  40. SouthCoastGooner

Denilson has to be one of the worse brazilian exports ever. he is about as brazilian as a hairy cunt.

  41. SUGA3

it’s the Denilsons that should be getting one year contracts, not stars and club’s loyal servants over 30 (i.e. legends, as this is what being a big club is about)…

  42. zeus

Argentina playing some truley spell binding stuff against USA.

Ever banega is the true heir to Riquelme.
If they don’t win the coming Copa America in the summer on home soul, they should just cancel Argentine football all together.

  43. zeus

Just saw the write up for the Mexico game. Hernandez again. Even gio did santos have joined vela on the bench where just months ago they were seen as the two beacons of hope.
