Arsenal look to batter the Orient and keep up the competition for competitions.

by & filed under Uncategorized.

What Arsene Wenger said was the problem with no competition, is players get in the comfort zone and that’s bad, the problem with too much competition is players get demotivated and that’s also bad, so he feels we are in a good place right now.

That’s all well and good if the players you have are great players, well we have a few that are not so great, we also have a few that are often injured and I believe that is as bad as the previous paragraph.

He also said this. ‘The attitude and the commitment of the team to deliver is sensational. I said that in September when everybody questioned us, absolutely everyone. It is important we keep this commitment and desire in every training session. The real pride will be when we look at each other at the end of the season and we have given absolutely everything to go as far as we can. I am confident this team will do it’

Arsene, I am still questioning it, there’s no doubt we have talented players, Cesc, Wilshere, Arshavin, Theo and Nasri were all sought after when we bought them, that’s no surprise, players like Sagna, Clichy and Djourou were real finds, Chezzer in goal has been the keeper we have wanted for years (and we’ve been telling you that all season), and Song has improved no end, but had we added a few decent players in the summer we could have been 12 points clear and you know what? It wouldn’t have killed us. The time for crowing boss will be in May, not now.

Anyway I have to admit I was very wrong about Kozzer, when he joined  I said on the blog that I hoped he would be the new Keown, he was rubbish for half a season but since Christmas has been a revalation, what to do when Vermaelen comes back? No problem, that’s the time for rotation, either could step into the DM role as well, so we at last have options.

We also have Frimpong and Coquelin to return in the summer and I rate both highly, I really do.

A few have said that Wenger didn’t get many prizes for tactics against Barca, Arsene and Pat, brilliant, you got the tactics spot on and made 2 great substitutions against Guardiola and we applaud you both, it was also the first time I’ve seen Pat Rice get out of his seat and shout, well done Pat, it was great to see and took me back.

I feel we need a big win today to give the boss more options in the coming weeks, it’s time to see if Denilson, Rosicky, Bendtner and Squillaci are worth keeping, today they ought to be fighting for their Arsenal careers, I hope they have blinders, I really do, I want to see every Arsenal player do well, though why Lansbury is out on loan is beyond me, his goal celebration yesterday was as good as it gets. Time to bring him and Ramsey back.

So enjoy today, I hope we score 6, but don’t forget it’s the FA Cup, don’t forget Crawley yesterday and spare a thought for the chavs, they’re out, I wonder how many of them start supporting Man City now!

Charging us top prices for seeing sub standard players in the cup rounds. Robbers. Need to shift out a lot of dead wood this summer and fast.

Premiership footballer in blackmail plot after sex orgy with three Swedish blondes in Las Vegas hotel is filmed

A Premiership footballer is at the centre of a blackmail plot after pictures and video footage of a holiday orgy involving three Swedish women were offered for sale.

The player – who cannot be named for legal reasons – was last night understood to be highly embarrassed at the disclosure which is now being investigated by the Metropolitan Police.

The player, an International footballer who is in his late twenties and currently single, has a reputation as a ‘clean cut’ sportsman and is based in North London.

In the past he has even spoken of his strongly held religious beliefs and his refusal to touch alcohol – yet in the video footage he is understood to be seen drinking heavily.

Yesterday it also emerged that he had become involved in the sex games while on holiday with two male friends – also footballers – in Las Vegas more than two years ago.

The trio visited a nightclub where they were seen drinking vodka shots during the evening.

One of the women with whom they drank was a 25-year-old Swedish-born waitress who was in the club with two of her female friends.

Later in the evening the group is understood to have gone to the footballer’s room where the Premiership star and the waitress had sex.

In another part of the room his friends became involved with the other two women.

The Daily Mail has learned that images of the romp – including one of the player standing naked – were offered to a national newspaper last week and the player’s club was then contacted.

The club immediately took out an injunction protecting both themselves and the footballer as police then became involved.

It is believed that the images involving the player included both still and moving images and the newspaper may have been contacted after the player refused to co-operate with an alleged blackmail attempt.

Yesterday the club for whom the footballer currently plays – who are in the top ten of the Premiership – refused to discuss the matter while the player was also unavailable for comment.

Police sources have revealed that the moving pictures and stills may have been taken on a BlackBerry phone before being copied and sent to the newspaper.

Detectives are trying to trace the person who e-mailed the images to the newspaper.

It is unclear whether those making financial demands of the player are the women involved or a third party who was unconnected with what happened inside the hotel.

The blackmail plot is highly embarrassing to both the player and his club, which is regarded as one of the most respected Premier League sides.

It is the latest controversy to hit the Premiership after England internationals John Terry, Ashley Cole, David Beckham, Rio Ferdinand and Wayne Rooney were all involved in their own sex scandals in recent years.

None of those players is involved in the current blackmail plot and police investigation.

News of the plot saw hundreds of fans putting possible names forward for the player on internet football forums around the country – with some posters having looked on the internet for pictures of players who holidayed in Las Vegas in recent years.

On one football forum the names of at least five players – all of them wrong – were categorically put forward as the player at the centre of the blackmail plot.

Last night a spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: ‘We can confirm that police are investigating an allegation of blackmail against a 27-year-old man.’

  6. MARK GOONER

same old names whenever we fuck up

almunia, fabianski, squilachi, denilson, bentnder, Chamakh

none of them are any good
NONE its amazing how chamkah scored the goals he did in first 15 games, because since then he has scored 1 in 14
so slow, weak and no confidnce to be direct
    bendtner can go in summer
and as for that cunt denilson i would relagate him to reserves and get rid in summer aswell, he is a disgrace, id rather see ramsey in there 70% fit aswell lansbury
both will give 100 % effort so will be an instant improvement of what denilson offers

    almunia is a shambles,
gibbs only ever gets to play with these guys so its no wonder he seems to have gone backwards in last 6 months

  7. TOMTOM

I think we should play Gunnersaurus instead of Squilachi,he cant be any worse and maybe he could form a good partnership with Kos at the back

  8. Big Dave

I just don’t know what Wenger sees in Denilson, he is so painfull to watch, he brings absolutely nothing to the team

Too true. If only wenger could see this

  10. OPG

Who the heck is Jonathan Tehoue? Orient were happy sitting back soaking up pressure and showed little threat but as soon as he came on he was quick, direct and skillfu,l he was causing us once he came on.
Don’t want to see some of these players playing for us after the summer especially Almunia.

  11. David

Who gives a shyte we beat BARCELONA!

    :D

I can excuse Chamakh cuz its his first season.

But Bendy is really a sad waste of precious footballing space.

    Striker in need. We Are.

Just when you thought that our problems had gone away we are bitterly reminded Almunia is still at the Club and Wenger supports him 100%

  12. Rohan

hahaha, if that’s true; Chamakh’s an absolute legend. Sex orgy w/ 3 Swedish females? Freddie Ljungberg didn’tm nage that himself.

It’s a whole load of bollocks though. It’s probably some cunt like Jermaine Jenas.

thats being generous to spastics P

Every pass was pointless and in the time, the o’s had two efforts on goal during this super-spastic-spell

  14. Man

Bendtner’s touch is pretty poor but he tried his best today. Credit to him. The replay should allow our ‘squad’ players more practice – they sure need it. A squad player at Arsenal can easily rack up 30 appearances in a season it seems.

  15. zeus

You lot see what the Kenton orient chairman said.

“arsene wenger has been out thought by a better brain” then he runs his mouth about complacency. I hope we give them a 10-0 drubbing.

  16. Jimbo

How come that link doesn’t work?

Chamakh’s just useless. Crap signing, Wenger’s cheapness has undercut all the other good work he’s done.

  17. Lurch LeRouge

yeah he said that in post match interview on espn zeus.

….in reference to them sending on their only threat at 80 min so that there was no time for AW to get cesc, nasri & co on to score a 2nd.

    he has a point.

  18. Gooner Gaz

What does Wenger see in Almunia?

I’m fairly sure Wenger has promised Almunia the FA cup games, but with a performance like that he surely won’t play him at Old Trafford, at this stage of the season there is no need to be resting Chesney, FFS.

  19. Jimbo

Rohan – type “footballer las” into google, and it’s the first thing that comes up!

plenty of other articles on it out there. Who knows who it is.

  20. zeus

    Lurch

He has no point. A fluke goal from some plater we’re never gonna hear from again.

He was so sure was he that this whoever guy would score with 10 to go? Gimmie a break.

This is why you shouldn’t always feel sorry for the underdog. You should put your foot on his head and not let him up.

  21. Keyser

It’s true, I was reading on the Guardian I think, that he has a completely different training routine to the team aswell.

Like he’ll only train for 10 minutes at the end of any orient training session, only Sprints and over 15 yards so that he’s at his peak for the last 7 minutes of games.

  22. Rohan

Is that true? Wow, we didn’t do our homework on that then definitely. Wenger said in the press conference, that he just found out he was French and he was surprised. :D

    Oh well..

  23. ardentgooner

    G Star

It could very well be Nicolas Anelka…chelsea had a pre-season tour in the US about 2 years back…could be him…

    Chamakh is also likely…

  24. nishanth

Why the fuck do we need to give Almunia a chance??Sczcesny is only 20 ffs.Not 40 like Van der sar.Playing Almunia is a fucking suicide.Should get Lansbury and Ramsey back immediately.Too many fucking games

  25. abnet

i made some point that barca will struggle in their home mach and they did and the fist goal they scored is offside n i’m predicting they will lose their next game which by the way @ mallorca though game

  26. Sabeel

    hello all

arsenal and birmingham have played the same EPL games – 26, then why the hec are we playing EPL midweek against Stoke, when birmingham dont have one….what bullshit scheduling is this..

  27. gooner-pak

i was getting updates from telegraph live commentary last night and let me tell you that guy is the c*nt of highest order… total anti arsenal

  28. abnet

as i said the game on midweek will be nice preparation for the team for the cup final as we all now sock at z grove very mach spankeble

  29. Sabeel

    gooner-pak

    really strange that…

if we play becos of postponement then it applies to b`gham too i feel
becos if we play this midweek then we r one game ahead of b`gham in EPL games played…

  30. gooner-pak

sabeel i think only one or two teams played their matches in that game week. don’t know against which team brum match was postponed, if it was

  31. bnsb

gooner-pak, Dont get it, did local channel stop ESPN -Star telecast? If yes, very sad. Not that I like ESPN gang, but there is no alternative.

  32. melvyn

We have four NO’s at and when any of these are present in our team we struggle to defend and lose our fluency :

    1. Senor Almunia
    2. Song paired with Denilson
    3. Bendtner paired with Chamakh
    4. Squilaci paired with anyone

Yesterday we had all four in place and guess what we couldn’t beat Orient , the mighty Orient.

When will AW learn and as you say in the posts above we have the means to resolve these problems just bring back AR/HL/JET – problem solved and of course pray to whatever Gods you pray to that RVP stays injury free for the rest of the season.
