Okay, I know what you’re all thinking, what the hell does that mean? Well as I speak fluent Spanish (I have a translator piece of software) and you mob don’t I can tell you it means ‘Hands off Cesc Fabregas’ Or at least I think it does!
Now what I’m attempting to do here is an Egypt, I’m trying blog warfare, I’m trying to start something bigger than me, Pedro and Le Grove, I’m sending this to all the other Arsenal blogs urging them to put it up so all their readers sing this song on Wednesday as loud as they can, and as often as they can, but in English and to the well known tune of ‘We got Cesc Fabregas’ only this time the words are ‘Hands off Cesc Fabregas’
I figure 50 odd thousand Gooners bellowing that out at the top of their lungs will send a message to their team, their board, their supporters and Cesc himself, that he’s loved at Arsenal far more and they can go and look elsewhere, because we have Cesc Fabregas.
We can’t compete with the Spanish media and the bully boy tactics of the top two Spanish clubs but we can let them know how passionate the Arsenal fans are and what he means to us, we all know the song, let’s just change the words for Wednesday night.
I remember growing up with the old first division, all our great players went to Italy when they got good, ask Liam Brady, I was heartbroken, why? Because our league wasn’t that good, a bit like La Liga now, all they are is a glorified SPL in the sun, if Cesc went their he would do an Henry, a Hleb, a Petit, a Vieira or a Bobby Pires, he would realise he made a king size mistake, well I think we should send a message to the Barca bullies that we think they play in a shite league with only two teams worth a rats arse, let Cesc know how much we love him and show the bastardo’s that we can sing.
Carles Rexach formerly technical director at Barca and responsible for signing a 12 year old Messi is the bloke now saying they won’t sign Cesc because they can’t afford him, also he says that they have Keita, Affellay and Mascharano there as well as a lot of young talent coming through, though how Keita and Mascharano play in Cesc’s position is a mystery to me.
Now this could be the Catalans ‘Ratner’ moment, or it could be a sneaky way of bringing this whole sorry tale up again. Either way it’s time for us to stop being Barca’s bitch, it’s time for us to take the initiative and it’s time for us to show them that although they love him because he stopped there once to get a bastard bus, he’s been with us since he was 15 years old, has grown up with us, only knows Arsenal fans as his own and above all that, we love him more, so sod off, the only thing you have in common with him is he is Spanish, so what, does that mean? Wenger should go back and manage PSG because he has French DNA?
What do you think Grovers? Let them know they can’t push us around, then after we do that, go out and stuff them, the arrogant prima donnas, let’s show them how good our team is, let’s show them that we wouldn’t swap any of our players for any of theirs, as for Lionel Messi, he’s not a patch on our Robin, Nasri is better than Iniesta, Djourou is better than Pique, Theo’s better than Villa, Cesc is better than Xabi, and Jack’s better than any of them!
Alex I include you, Kozzer, Gael, Bacari, Chezzer and Andre in that as well!
If you guys play against Barca like you did against Wolves you’ll take a 3 goal lead to Spain for the return, no doubt about that, you do your bit and we’ll do ours.
Remember people, it’s ‘Hands off Cesc Fabregas’ to the tune of ‘We’ve got Cesc Fabregas’
Let them know that nobody bullies the Arsenal!

Really BD? I certainly didn’t, and if it was in that list of matches I’d have it as a point!
I was shocked that we’d been so amazing to be 4-0 up, didn’t expect that at all and it certainly wasn’t the norm.
Don’t agree about bottle either, I reckon it’ll come down to still having players fit imo, and we certainly can’t take that for granted!
Yeah Husain I agree, although their pitch was dodgy.
Again I was looking at those games being pessimistic from our perspective and optimistic from utd’s.
Big Dave – you’re right about bottle. A good gooner friend of mine made an interesting point after Man U won vs Man City that he was happy with the result.
His logic was that a) it was good to have breathing space between us and shitty. But also that b) he thought we didn’t quite have it in us psychologically to win it from the front this far from the end of the season. And so he would prefer us to make up the points a bit later in the season where so we can remain underdogs.
He might have a point to be honest…
I don’t agree albo.
Imo Utd are shocking this season, and they kinda realise it too. The only thing that has resulted in their retaining some believe and keeping that fight going is that noone has gotten ahead and pulled away from them.
If we got ahead of utd and kept winning games easily whilst they were having to scrape and fight for every point they’d lose hope and fall away quickly.
I could still see Utd coming 3rd this season and us winning it.
That said, I reckon the biggest single factor will be who keeps the majority of their 1st 11 fit…
we never win games easily A.
We couldn’t hold onto a 4 goal lead… never mind leading the Premier League.
Chasing Utd is better atm, the pressure is on UTD and not us.
Countless times we have bottled it. 2006 for starters.
Stoke home/away is not easy. I do fancy L’pool to get something out of the Man u game, thier time has come to beat them and can see Suarez getting the winner.
We must not choke tho, we can only beat ourselves. I would feel more confident but results like N’Castle and wigan away leaves me with concern
With ten men and a centre back going off injured we threw away a 4 goal lead choy, it wasn’t exactly a normal situation.
We won our last league game very easily, and going backwards Wigan, West Ham, Brum, and Chelsea
Utd havn’t won a single away game easily this season, they’ve only won 3 away games all season and they were all by one goal scored in the last 15 minutes!
There are so many games where we’ve cracked.
Spurs, Wigan, Newcastle, Sunderland.. many others.
These boys could do without the pressure at the moment.
Utd are playing shite and still leading with 4 pts, and that shrek is getting back on form!
What do you mean 2006 BD?! 05/06 and 06/07 we only just scraped champs league!
Wigan shouldn’t happen again or be of concern because we shouldn’t have so many fixtures that we have to play our B team in games, unless there’s some freak of nature that results in games being called off.
Newcastle granted could happen again. If we lost Song, Diaby and Djourou at the same time going down to ten men we could be in trouble, or if we just lost all three in general.
Stoke away won’t be easy but home should be
Wigan, West Ham, Brum and Chavs
Hardly world class teams!
Stop getting excited A.. there’s a lot of footy left to be played!!
Though it is very tempting
A.
You reckon Man u will fall away and come 3rd !! utter madness. If they were so bad this season how come their top and winning matches, if their having a crap season, which I do not think they are then what does it say for the rest of us ffs
Well not easy, but as easy as they come.
lol choy “back on form”?! he scored an absolute wonder goal, in a game that he was complete shite in otherwise….
I reckon Utd could come third year BD.
They’re top because everyone has been shite. They aren’t winning matches, they’re winning home games but have only won three away games in the whole of this season, and their away fixtures have been the easy ones! It’s absolutely incredible that a team SO bad away from home could be top.
However although both we and Utd have been crap we’ve been marginally less crap than them imo. They’re top because of the way the fixtures have gone, not because they’ve been better.
We’ve played chelsea twice, they havn’t played them once, and the game between us was at their place. That’s why they’re 4 points ahead of us
We should had won the league when the Eduardo leg brake kicked in, we totally bottled it for the rest of that season.
Still tho thier are 12 games to go a lot to play for so let’s see, if we can take it to the last game of the season I will be chuffed to bits
It will come down to the us v them game. six pointer
Yeah I agree BD but that wasn’t bottling it, that was the quality of the players available!
We didn’t have quality back up at all, and Eduardo’s leg break was the straw that broke the camel’s back. We had a first eleven to win the league but when Rosicky got injured it weakened us, when VP got injured it weakened us even more and when Eduardo got injured we just couldn’t cope at all.
We’ve got WAY more squad depth now but if VP, Cesc, Nasri, Arshavin, Theo all got injured then I think we’d see the same thing happen.
Again though that’s about keeping our top players fit, nothing to do with bottle imo
I actually agree with everyone on both sides of this argument! A is right – Man U have been crap and are a really crappy squad as ‘title winning squads’ go. They have, frankly, got very lucky for much of the season, and there is every chance they will be found out.
But choy and BD are right that we are still mentally a bit brittle…
It shouldn’t come down to that BD. That should either be the game to save them or to make it comfortable for us. With a draw we should win the league the way I see it, unless they have a MASSIVE turnaround
tonight’s chav result is massive, they are in must win situation in every single game now including the two united games where i can see them getting 4 points off.
if united lose 5 points to the chavs, we’ll basically go in front.
i can see them dropping 9 points before the end, we have to make sure we only drop 4 points in that case. example draw against pool and them
Dropping 9 points for them would be huge, not sure if that will happen, it’s a dream us gooners are making up in our heads and hoping for. we keep waiting for them to dop points but apart from wolves away they have very rarely done this.
Anyway early start tomorrow so need some zzzzzz.
Come on you gunners
Big Dave, now there you are totally wrong! Man U haven’t dropped points?!? They’ve only won 3 away games!!! They’ve dropped points left right and centre, and they will continue to do so! We just have to make sure that we drop fewer…
BD
easy, A draw and a loss against chavs is totally possible, that’s 5 points droped. a draw with us and pool and that makes it 9 points dropped for united.
i reckon that us or pool can beat them too. not to mention they might drop in any odd away game, like the wolves game
(Oh, and btw Geoff/Pedro, I think that Spanish is still dodgy. It still seems to be confusing off and of. Might be worth us asking someone Spanish before the game!)
albo.
You missunderstood me. I said i can’t see them dropping 9 more points, they have got themselves in a very good position, they have been in this sitaution before, have more experiance, dont get me wrong would luv to see them dropping points all over the shop, but that result v cityyy might had done them the world of good sadly.
We fucked up geordies away, s’land to name but a few and it could come back to haunt us in the end. We need a 12 match unbeaten run with 36 points, and hope they drop 5-6 along the way
BD “we keep waiting for them to dop points but apart from wolves away they have very rarely done this.” just isn’t true!
They’ve only NOT dropped points in 3 of their 12 games away from home this season! That’s one out of every 4 games away from home they win, and they have 6 away games left, so regardless of the fact that they have four of the toughest away games you have over the course of a season you’d expect them to drop a minimum of 8 points away from home, and again that’s looking at it from an optimistic point of view as a utd fan.
They could quite easily (unless they turn around their away form greatly) drop 12/13 points away from home if they just continue their complete and utter inability to play away from home this season….
Away from home Utd havn’t just been bad, they’ve been absolutely terrible! Their three away wins that they have gotten have been very lucky, they could foreseeably have not won a single away game all season.
It would be a miracle (based on their season thus far) if they beat any of us, Liverpool, Chelsea, Blackburn away from home and that’s automatically 8 points dropped, assuming that they drew all of them and lost none.
The stats and the form are VERY much in our favour
GOOBY— Excellent point! Chelsea are now desperate for points and will need to take points off United if they are to have a future in the CL. That bodes well for us.
http://www.totalbarca.com/2011/matches/from-london-with-love-finale/#more-67710
we absolutely must win our next 3 games , sunderland and stoke are going to be massive points
A.. go to sleep you nutter!
Lets take it game by game.. I don’t want to be disappointed yet again!
I don’t get how some posters here are awestruck by United. They have been shit all season. They have blown leads just as bad as us at Newcastle. Up 3-1 at everton with 11 men in added time and they draw? That’s worse than Newcastle IMO. We will hit 80 points and nobody else will. The title is ours …..
I love you A
yuck
Come the fuck on you red blooded gooners!
I’m already incredibly hyped for this game. Everything’s boiling together nicely for our greatest ever night.
Whatever makes us feel good sure, wouldn’t say they’ve been amazing but you’ve got to be doing well to be up there in this league.
Ah well long way to go, it’s a long tiring season with still a International break to come and many twist and turns. Anyway time to play some Dead space 2..
red blooded maybe, but openly declaring man love!?
a closet too far!!
snow patrol’s defo effecting your libido Rohan!
Naah, I’m as masculine as Rosicky.
Morning all.
Looking at the form (or the lack of it) that Pool and Chelsea are showing, it is Manu title to loose it seems.
haha I just saw that Chelski drew with fulham
What a wierd year for football this is. I wonder if any team has ever been in 7th place at this stage of the season with ZERO goal difference? Or 6th with 3 goals? Ot 4th with 9 (Spuds). I must say, I’m feeling more confident. Man U have all the pressure on them, and we are looking comfortable in second. It is likely we will go out to Barca, though I think it will be closer than the last time we met them, and traditionally it will come down to two dodgy refereeing “errors”. Then we can concentrate all of our surviving players on the league.

Just posted on Twitter by Matt Law of the Express;
Good news arsenal fans – nasri trained yesterday and all went well. As long as no setback today he’ll be in squad and could even start.

Theo van Nasrigas right there. Our most potent weapon. Come on you gooners
Matt Law is a gooner isn’t he?
Great read. Are you any relation to churchill

i am posting this again(sorry Rohan) but that picture is so funny
Rohan
Laporta is a cunt, and that’s hardly news. cesc came by the age of 15 because they didn’t want him at the time, he’s an arsenal trainee, arsenal is his footballing home and we are the fans that love him the most.
can’t wait for tomorrow.
Agree with bnsb. Utd still have to play Chelsea and Liverpool but in all honesty apart from the big names for these teams they are more likely to drop points against the Blackburns imo. Chelsea and Liverpool will not necessarily cause Utd problems, they are both in highly inconsistent form. And remember the same applies for us with Liverpool at least, we still have to play them as well.
And agree with Gooby as well. In fact for me the games vs. Stoke and Sunderland and the CC final of course are much more important then this CL tie coming.
A game at a time and many turns to come still…I am not holding my breath.
I’m pretty sure Nasri is going to start. Theo van Nasrigas returns to the field of battle.
I’m absolutely buzzing. Maybe that’s because I haven’t slept in 22 hours and I’ve had my umpteenth espresso but still…
It’s hypocritical that they call both Puyol and Cesc “theirs” when Puyol only joined them at the age of 16. Fucking cunts.
TheoWilsh Van NasriGas ….
ROHAN— Which Uni do you go to?
Rohan calm down man, you’re gonna blow a gasket. Honestly I don’t see why this tie with Barca is considered so important by some. I would be happy to go out in the CL and focus on the league and domestic cups. Just want ths boys to go out, have fun, not give them any respect and play the best they can. If the result goes awry I will not begrudge them at all, not this year at least. The CL is the least important right now imo.
UC Berkeley
Stoner town!!
It being the least important as you put it does not mean that we approach it any differently from if it were a must win essentially
We go out in every game looking for a win and this will be no different. The less pressure will only make us better.. Of course, it’s games like these that you dream of as a fan. Bring it on!
The Champions League being the “least important” doesn’t really say anything. It would be embarrassing/unprofessional if we didn’t give it our all. Yes, we might lose, but that’s the beauty of it. We’re the underdogs either way. It’s a no lose situation.
As a fan, I can’t help but get excited…The added shenanigans over the summer regarding Cesc only adds fuel. Beating them would be this team’s single greatest achievement. Let’s see what happens.
I’d like us to stay in all 4 competitions for as long as possible.
I’m in Medical School @ univ of Washington. Where are u originally from? Do you see any Arsenal fans in Cali? Quite surprisingly… Arsenal has a significant following in the Pacific N.West.
For those that were unsuccessful in the ballot…..

I never said its not a must win, just ranking it in order of importance. Of course we want Arsenal to win every single game. But if I were forced to make a choice I would rather win vs. Stoke, Brum and Sunderland then this game. Of course it says everything, least important in the grand scheme of things simply means least important in order of priority. You don’t have to share my opinion, but if you had to make a choice, in what order of importance would you rank this game? I personally think it is a terrific test for the boys but if I had to count my sorrow I would take from a loss, god forbid, vs any of those three teams would be much worse than this one.
Beating Barcelona would be very very big achievement. A win that will be talked about for a long time to come.
.. may be a win that would surely leave many here with moist eyes and/or wet pants

Barcelona/Cesc affair is like d story of a mom who gave up her newbornbaby 4adoption. The baby has now been raised by lovingparents,to become king. Now u want him back, sod off! No u don’t love cesc, u wish he was on ur bench warming it rather than being the captain of an english FC.
!
you see the dirty tactics they resort too once the game goes away from them..remember a couple of seasons back they were sh1t. its all about confidence, dent that and they are there for the taking.
Great posting. FUCK BARCELONA!!!
We can prove the critics wrong by posing an emphatic win. Go GOONER GO.
