Will Arsenal cancel it 3 hours before kick off again? 4-2-4 vs Wigan anyone?

by & filed under Uncategorized.

How the pitch was rumoured to look this morning

This time last season we had a game that was midweek, I can’t remember which game, but I was on my way from Islington where I work to the game and Pedro called me to say it was cancelled, not because the pitch was in trouble, but because the surrounding streets were, so my gut feeling is, it will be off.

I hope they cancel early and save all 14 Wigan fans a trip, but they didn’t last time, why the Wigan faithful will bother coming to London to watch our kids hammer them is a mystery, but that’s football and that’s why we are the best country in the world to watch it, and that’s why we should host the world cup.

I watched the Panorama programme last night and believe they did the right thing in showing it, we shouldn’t be bullied into pretending those dirty backhand taking scumbags from FIFA don’t take money for favours, what was an eye opener wasn’t the fact that they are bent, we all knew that, it was this country has agreed to allowing FIFA to take all their money tax free, so we all get screwed by the government because of the economy, but we change the rules to host a football tournament, apparently we did the same for the Olympics, what a disgrace, Cameron, Brown and Blair, you are as bad as Blatter. Celebrity Britain strikes again.

For once I agree with Adrian Durham, we should pull out of FIFA if they turn us down, they need us more than we need them.

Spain had it a few years ago, Holland can’t cope and Russia are self proclaimed racists, it’s a no brainer, we have the world’s greatest stadia and we haven’t had it since 1966.

All the FIFA lovers will point to South Africa and what a huge success it was, but they don’t tell you they still have townships where people live in mudhuts and they don’t tell you huge areas were bulldozed to make way for the good bits, those poor sods are still living rough. And don’t get me on the Vuvuvelas! (or whatever they were)

I personally believe that we’ll get it because they would look more muppety than they already do if we don’t, but we should make then pay tax like the rest of us have to.

Onto tonight, we have to field our strongest side and that should mean a forward line of Walcott, RVP, Bendtner and Vela, I would go attack, attack tonight and put the ghost of the Grove behind us.

I would play 4-2-4 and surprise the footballing world, it’s only Wigan!

Chezzer

Eboue Koscielny Djourou Gibbs

Nasri Wilshere

Theo RVP Bendtner Vela

Yes I know we have a light midfield but with a team like that we could score ten! If Wenger doesn’t want to take a chance then this would be my preferred team.

Chezzer

Sagna Koscielny Djourou Gibbs

Denilson Nasri Wilshere

Theo RVP Vela

We know we can’t defend so having Chezzer in the side will be like having another defender, so in theory we will have a back four again, I’m still not convinced about Koscielny so give him games and see what happens, he’ll rest Song but Nasri and Jack are so awesome he has to play them, Eastmond is not ready for me, he’s too lightweight and Denilson can and should fit in nicely.

I expect a big game tonight as there are a few with a lot to prove, namely Chezzer, Bendtner, Theo and Vela, not withstanding Robin, who needs to get match fit with the big three games of the mancs, the chavs and the northern chavs coming up.

I expect a big, big win, if of course it’s played, and of that I’m not too confident, I think they called it off at 4pm last time.

Have a great day Grovers, and if you go, wrap up, it’s snowing and it will be very, very cold!

Ha Ha Ha, the lumbering bullock gets a goal, fuck me the smell of an improved contract wafts across the stadium….

  2. zeus

79′ The official attendance is announced at the Emirates as over 59,000. I think some of the Arsenal staff are being slightly optimistic with that. It is absolutely nowhere near that.

  3. pawel

fletcher dirty bastard deserving a straight red for kicking boa morte off ball, boa morte shall not take shit and they almost fight

  4. luke

I know hes injured all the time, but how can anyone want to get rid of RVP? Jesus christ, there is not a more creative CF alive

  5. patthegooner

    Another two pitch invaders.

I bet we get fined for that and Wenger uses it as the excuse for not being able to afford to sign anyone in Jan

  6. SurferX

    So its either;

    West Ham
    Birmingham / Villa
    Ipswich / West Brom

If we manage to fuck that up- it should cost AW his job. Then again- it could spark our domestic domination.

    Come on!!!!

  7. Dutchman

Nasri is a topclass player. And what has gibbs to do to be ahead of clichy? What a brilliant performance, has his opponent passed him? Not that i know. And szcescny is looking really good to me too. I looks like that the defenders trust him and that is what we need.

  8. SurferX

How can you say Chezzer looks good Dutchman? I mean, I think he’ll be awesome- but, the stewards had more goal-mouth action to deal with than he did.

  9. Kreshnik

Great result, considering the shitty weather, and everything. I’m just a bit worried about lil Jack, he’s looking like he’s lost his bite a bit. Like he’s worried that he’ll fuck up.

  10. DaleDaGooner

THOSE 3 CUNTS WERE gambon, jaguar and geoff, jaguar went to kiss Wengers hand…he said to Arsene “You Francophonic mug you, i love you man….where is Dudaby man? I miss that mug man” can i kiss your hand Lord Wenger?

  11. Gooby

chezzer didn’t have a thing to do in that, we dominated all over the park, easy.

now we need to focus on the fulham game and win the mickey mouse. I can’t stand the media going about “5years without a trophy” i don’t want to hear it anymore, let’s shut the cunts mouths!!! c”mon you mighty gooners

  12. Kreshnik

The good thing is that this might make us finnish the rest of the season in style for once, if we win it that is. Cuz if we don’t then we are truly fucked.

Dale, u deserve a red for that.

  13. DaleDaGooner

Isaw it’ll take an Italian FA job to fuck this up…Wenger can you see for once that the FANS are right? We say playa strong team and we can win this comedy cup, it’s something…At least Bendtner, Denilson can say he won something with Arsenal before we ship him off….

  14. DaleDaGooner

Smalling or Koscielny…smalling or Koscielny….Smalling or Koscielny….hmmmm We needed some English bloke, but we got a Francophonic mug while Manure got the English dude, hmmm

  15. OPG

United fans are pretty angry with Evans and that substitution pretty much tells you everything about his performance, Smalling has overtaken him already.

  16. iKreshnik

The mancs back with their feet on the ground, love it. I hope it fucks them up and the lose their next league game, would be nice :)

  17. pharo9ja

walcott, clichy & denilson are SHIT. Noticed how denilson disapeared when eastmond came in? Luv u QOS but ur boy is shit in a game after 50mins. Walcott moves his feet faster than ie can use his brain.

  18. Confidentgoner

You gotta worry for Walcott. He is nowhere near a 50k player. He is at best a mid table player. Get shot of him and buy a proper winger with talent

  19. zeus

Just got in. Glad to see we didn’t F this up. We are truley in a position to do a job now. Who knows, IFFFFF, we win it, it might give us the kick we need to get that belief that we can do the league too.

Can’t even watch what the pundits say, we know if we pull this off, it will change from ‘haven’t won a trophy in 5 years’, to ‘haven’t won the league since 2004.’ F them.

  20. DaleDaGooner

Really and truely, West Ham looked like Man U while Man U looked like utter mugs…for once they look exactly how they should, utter shit!

  21. incesc

look we aint won fuck all yet.

villa could be a real game if they get their injured players back, brum have a bit of a hold over us at their ground and west brom annihilated us at the ems…

  22. DaleDaGooner

So if we have Walcott, isn’t Defoe a tad bit better! I KNOW BLASPHEMY, but that little cunt is more clinical that Walcott

  23. Rohan

jeez, way to pour water on proceedings incesc. We’re going to do the triple this season I tell you!

RvP to start against Fulham behind Chamakh and Wilshere to be rested?

  24. MARK GOONER

    great night of results
we played ok few terrible performances from theo nik and especially denilson
we son thats all that matters really
schezney you can see will be a class act koceilny played well and vela was decent in parts
rvp got 80 mins under his belt

united away is fucking huge and apart from verm the squad is looking good and we are in the mix n all 4 fronts
    come on boys

  25. DaleDaGooner

Don’t start Rohan, Bendtner wasn’t spectacular today..RvP ,…now thats what’s up….if he can fooking stay fit. And anyone wondering how we can play him and Chamakh, there you go..i’ve been waiting for Wenger to try that, play vP as a true number 10, make him earn that shirt number change…he is best as a CAM, only Cesc won’t leave that spot for him…or in the hole behind Chamakh with Arshavin and Nasri on either sides and Cesc just off all 4 of them

  26. David

I refuse to slag anyone today.

    Great Goal Bendy!

    Great Cross Walcott!

    RVP? World Class.

Vela? Class…You need more playing time Son, Based on this performance Wenger will be mad not to slot you in for Arshavin.

    Denilson, well done.

    Eastmond, Credit to you mate!

    JD CLASS!

    Koscy great job son!

    Eboue? LEGEND

    Gibbs? legend

    Chezzers WORLD CLASS

  27. Rohan

Maybe we should go with 442 at home with Chamakh/Bendtner up front and RvP just behind him. His speed of thought and sheer class is great.

Nasri can have a free role roaming as can Arshavin. That would mean Wilshere and Song need to be as disciplined as ever.

Also, on a side note, what with Wellington Silva and all, I really don’t think Theo will make it with us. He was diabolical tonight.

  28. MARK GOONER

rvp bendtner or theo will be on bench on sat and rightly so
chamakh is doing the business at the mo

nik will never be good enough to be main man at arsenal neither will theo
    not consistent enough
off the bench is the best they can hope for
nik to be sold in summer and give theo one more year

  29. MARK GOONER

    david are u joking????

    vela ahead of arshavin

    thats bollocks
vela has done nothing to suggest menationing replacing him for our top assister in the squad
did u see his performace on saturday
something vela does not have in him

  30. Rohan

Oh,and David – remember that sloppy backpass Djourou attempted which Boselli got on the end off only for him to botch it up? That’s exactly what I mean when I say he’s dodgy as fuck.

Koscielny today was great though. Not great opposotion but very composed and classy.

  31. Stu

Despite being the only top team left in the comp im still not confident of winning it. Cautiously optimistic at the very best. I just know better than to expect anything off arsenal..

I will be confident of winning the CC with 10 seconds left in the final, us 3 goals up and in possession of the ball.

  32. Rohan

How exactly is Vela ahead of Bendtner?
Bendtner has 3 in 5 and Vela missed 2 absolute sitters today. Not to mention he doesn’t really bring anything different to the team.

His main asset was supposed to be his finishing but that seems to have let him down not to mention he seems to have lost a yard of pace.

  33. David

    Rohan,

Squidlachi had a moment like that earlier in the Campaign where Anelka cocked it up.

I dont remember you calling him dodgy as fuck?

    —-

    Mark,

Im not saying Vela should usurp Arshavin, I am saying that he needs playing time to give Arsh a rest.

Besides Arsh has been bollocks except his last game where he decided since there’s no Cesc, he’s going to run the show.

  34. MARK GOONER

david your love of vela is strange seeing as the guy has done fuck all for 2 years other then score in games that are already won
granted he played a great ball for 2nd goal tonight. he has talent no doubt so will show glimpses as he has bu he is not strong enough and lacks cutting edge that is needed to be warranting starting games for a top club like us

  35. David

    Vela missed 2 sitters.

Bendy missed sitters his whole fucking career.

Infact there isnt a game he doesnt miss a sitter.

Some explain to me how he missed that easy header chance in the first half?

Its pros and cons and Vela was definately looking the more menacing/productive striker of the two.

Great assist too, and great knowledge and confidence to play the ball into a striker that only knows how to score tap-ins.

Which he almost missed as well.

  36. Rohan

It’s a fact that Bendy in his career with us has done so much more than Vela or even Theo for that matter.

We’ve had this argument many a time, so on that note- I’m off to do some physics. Cheerios and keep the faith.

Don’t forget, there is a god and he goes by the name of Samir Nasri.
