This time last season we had a game that was midweek, I can’t remember which game, but I was on my way from Islington where I work to the game and Pedro called me to say it was cancelled, not because the pitch was in trouble, but because the surrounding streets were, so my gut feeling is, it will be off.
I hope they cancel early and save all 14 Wigan fans a trip, but they didn’t last time, why the Wigan faithful will bother coming to London to watch our kids hammer them is a mystery, but that’s football and that’s why we are the best country in the world to watch it, and that’s why we should host the world cup.
I watched the Panorama programme last night and believe they did the right thing in showing it, we shouldn’t be bullied into pretending those dirty backhand taking scumbags from FIFA don’t take money for favours, what was an eye opener wasn’t the fact that they are bent, we all knew that, it was this country has agreed to allowing FIFA to take all their money tax free, so we all get screwed by the government because of the economy, but we change the rules to host a football tournament, apparently we did the same for the Olympics, what a disgrace, Cameron, Brown and Blair, you are as bad as Blatter. Celebrity Britain strikes again.
For once I agree with Adrian Durham, we should pull out of FIFA if they turn us down, they need us more than we need them.
Spain had it a few years ago, Holland can’t cope and Russia are self proclaimed racists, it’s a no brainer, we have the world’s greatest stadia and we haven’t had it since 1966.
All the FIFA lovers will point to South Africa and what a huge success it was, but they don’t tell you they still have townships where people live in mudhuts and they don’t tell you huge areas were bulldozed to make way for the good bits, those poor sods are still living rough. And don’t get me on the Vuvuvelas! (or whatever they were)
I personally believe that we’ll get it because they would look more muppety than they already do if we don’t, but we should make then pay tax like the rest of us have to.
Onto tonight, we have to field our strongest side and that should mean a forward line of Walcott, RVP, Bendtner and Vela, I would go attack, attack tonight and put the ghost of the Grove behind us.
I would play 4-2-4 and surprise the footballing world, it’s only Wigan!
Chezzer
Eboue Koscielny Djourou Gibbs
Nasri Wilshere
Theo RVP Bendtner Vela
Yes I know we have a light midfield but with a team like that we could score ten! If Wenger doesn’t want to take a chance then this would be my preferred team.
Chezzer
Sagna Koscielny Djourou Gibbs
Denilson Nasri Wilshere
Theo RVP Vela
We know we can’t defend so having Chezzer in the side will be like having another defender, so in theory we will have a back four again, I’m still not convinced about Koscielny so give him games and see what happens, he’ll rest Song but Nasri and Jack are so awesome he has to play them, Eastmond is not ready for me, he’s too lightweight and Denilson can and should fit in nicely.
I expect a big game tonight as there are a few with a lot to prove, namely Chezzer, Bendtner, Theo and Vela, not withstanding Robin, who needs to get match fit with the big three games of the mancs, the chavs and the northern chavs coming up.
I expect a big, big win, if of course it’s played, and of that I’m not too confident, I think they called it off at 4pm last time.
Have a great day Grovers, and if you go, wrap up, it’s snowing and it will be very, very cold!

6 goals and 8 assists in 18 starts is very good david
i don’t agree with all the critics:
Theo, i usually don’t rate him but it was a nice bit of performance, had he scored we would all say he was class. his football intelligence is a bit off, but he made some dangerous runs, trouble defences and took chances. 6.5
2. way way better than his last game vela, i thought. he created chances, good movement overall, just needs to hit the back of the net and his confidence will come back. 6.5
3. Eboue, i agree he was a bit off the pace toady, i don’t know why though. 5
4. denilson, started in a shit fashion but improved as the game went on and stayed disciplined. 6
5. kozzer and Dj: quite game, nice performance. both 7
6. Gibbs, very good game, this boy has everything to succeed. 7.5
7. chezzer, not much to do really. 6
8. RvP, please cut the selling him shit, he’s world class, no club sells such a player on purpose. when he plays he’s always above the rest. 7.5
9. wilshere, steady and composed performance for the young lad, he’ll be great a few years time, showed tremendous vision with those two breathtaking passes to vela, i was screaming in front of the screen! 7
10. nasri. nothing needs to be said. 7
11. bendy, not impressive but got himself a goal and that’s nice. 6.5
12. eastmond 6
13. JET 5 didn’t have much time
Dale
How about a 4-2-3-1.
Even when Cesc is back, how about a back 4, Cesc (yes playing deeper) and Song, AA23 with RVP (central) and Nasri, behind Chamakh.
We would control the game a lot more anyway with Cesc having even more time on the ball from a deeper position.
Mark
I agree but he needs a chance.
He’s the business for Mexico, scoring bycicle kicks and shyte like that, We need to give him time.
Ofcoarse he’s going to be pushed around if all the footballing he does is in training?
Lets be real, I’m quite cool with Djourou and Koscielny at the back with Szczesny as their goalie, those 3 have an understanding and they give us much strength and command, not sure against top oppo, but so far these 3 boss the back field.
Bendtner was mheea
Walcott…trying to impose himself, stil mheea
Vela…obvious class, but…mheea when he needs to grab his opportunities.
Van Classy…if he can only stay fit!
Denilson is honestly just a squad player, nothing more.
Wilshere, will be a legend, lost some balls, but he will take over the Mr. Arsenal role
Gibbs was ok, Wigan didn’t trouble him, i suspect a better oppo may expose him, but it’s still up in the air if he can finally put a nail to Clichy’s coffin.
Eboue…what can i say, we need his spirit in the locker room and on the side lines, Sagna still owns the RB.
Eastmond is was alright, didn’t have to do much, but i won’t play him alongside Denilson if he is to improve.
Nasri…always a bright spot, BEST ARSENAL PLAYER THIS SEASON.
JET, didn’t get to shine.
These being said, I expect us to win this, why not!? Mancs are out, Shitty is out, Spuds and Chavs
Threats are Villa, West Ham, Birmingham, AND West Brom…right now i’d rather we met West Brom or Ipswich
zeus..hmmm, i like that…if only Cesc would accept playing deeper
we played 4 strikers and i think collectively they didn’t quite live up to 4 dangerous strikers, we gave a 2 striker output using 4…but, Vela, RvP, Bendy and Walcott all have been begging for a game.
i notice that Arsene is taking a different approach, he is playing strikers behind the Center forwards now, starting with the last game with Arsha playing behind Chamakh, next game, i think we will see RvP behind Chamakh with Nasri and Arsha on either side or Rosicky for one of them.
zeus
–song—cesc—
nasri-RvP–arshavin
—chamakh—–
looks top class, but we need to sort out the defensive work. cesc does a bit of a defensive work when playing AM i don’t think RvP would do.
dale gooner
denilson is a cunt simple as
180 appearnaces and counting
he lacks ant steel, passing very poor, slow and above all no heart
only player since i been watching arsenal in 25 years that i hate
fucking usless
what purpose does he serve, he offers fuck all in attack and just sits there and breaks up the odd attack
if a 15 year old boy stood in midfield all game he too would break up the odd attack aswell
end of the day ive seen that guy get skinned and not bust a gut to retrieve possesion far to many times over the last 2-3 years to change my opinion of him
considering he is meant to be a DM that is not acceptable
only perfomances from the 180 odd that i can even rememebre him doing anything of note have all been from coming off the bench
the guy is our worst player in first team squad
sooner ramsey frimpong are back the better
AW
“The supporters always want more, which is completely natural.
“You cannot say that [a first trophy] is not important, but we should also not make obsession of that.
That was freezing
I have been thinking about it and….
Please don’t laugh
But………
I think Owen Coyle would make a bloody fantastic Arsenal Manager.
I agree with you Sixx
Don’t know if ur being sarcastic David but when you look at where he’s taken Bolton and the way he’s completely changed the pysche of Bolton is nothing to sniff at really. His team plays good football and with better players ( our lot) imagine what he could acheive. And u know that he would be able to drill defensive organization. If it can’t be Pep, I wouldn’t mind Owen at all.
the rooster was supposed to work wonders with a better bunch too
Dale
I think CEsc does a lot of defensive work. And I doubt RVP would need to do much(the slightest touch and he is out anyway) with Chamakh acting as a titan in front of him.
As for Cesc’s wants, who cares. If he is to play there then that is where he has to play.
Nasri does his fair share of defensive work as well.
Thats a team that I think would work, until RVP gets injured again.
Any highlights anywhere of the game? I want to see that RVP pass everyone was creaming themselves over.
Im serious Sixx,
I think Coyle is a great manager.
Ive also been impressed by Di Matteo.
Theyve done wonders for absolutely joke players.
I mean Coyle turned Kevin davies into a proper striker ffs.
for* = with
Owen fucking Coyle. I hope the both of you are having a laugh.
Over-achievement is a hell of a thing. How about we see where bolton finishes b4 we ‘give’ him the job.
If nothing else it illustrates just how shit the league is this season.
The quality off football Zeus.
Bolton are a joy to watch.
Seen it. RVP is magic.
Hopefully youtube don’t suck ass about this.

who the fuck was arsene wenger before he came to arsenal?????????????????????
well, he did not do too badly @ Monaco until certain moment, did he?
anyway, just came back from the game, the pitch invaders must have been the highlight of the day
RvP is magic, *prays: please don’t you get injured*
Vela was pretty frustrating, so was Walcott, but the latter grew to be a bit of a fans favourite, so his cockups were still Theo’d by crowd, whereas the former was gettink flak and so was Bendtner…
how funny: first goal, Theo ‘assist’ (does that count?)
second goal: Vela assist for NB52
happy we won, so I will not get overly critical, at least the played like they wanted it, that’s really all I am asking for, really…
*getting flak
So Dan you’re conceding that Arsene is someone?
DAN
As Suga has said, Wenger did win the french championship with Monaco before he came to us from Japan.
Either way, this argument for Coyle is moot, Wenger just signed a 4 year contract.
Rvp is magic.
and for the record: pitch invaders were not booed at any point, the boos were for stewards for pinning them down…
it’s the second ‘pitch invasion’ in as many games, actually there were two in this one
Vela was booed?
A little harsh isnt it?
These days are a coming back, believe or not…….all we need is to win one trophies so these cnuts know that they are as good as we think they are….
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HNxaOVGQioo&feature=related
he was not booed, the crowd just have less patience with him, likewise with Bendtner…
and I just don’t get it what is it with Denilson? he is a tidy player, but his inability to withstand any kind of physical confrontation is just puzzling…
December is a brutal month
*one trophy
especially a December like this one – I mean, if the temperatures plummet to -5 or -10, which is not out of the question, it will be pretty bad for the players’ fitness…
in Eastern Europe where these winters are just a regular fixture, the season usually has a winter break for the sake of the players and supporters…
We have a big squad Suga.
Dont we?
no, we don’t – with Seb out with knee injury, one knock picked up by JD or Kos equal Song playing CB and this is a pretty fucking scary thought, IMO…
don’t get me wrong, I rate Song, but I think he is the best as a DM right in front of the back four, but he is a pretty poor CB and a much better DM…
I do think we need a Center Back.
And a GK.
And A DM.
But we needed a Center back last January when Silveste was in there.
I think hes serious about not buying in January
we don’t need a GK, we have Szczesny – seriously, he will be class, the sooner he gets to play, the sooner that happens, simple as that…
a DM, yes and I would be happy with Inler…
and on that note, I shall bid you all g’nite…
have to face the snow tomorrow…

Guys I have found Pedro.
Hehe Napoleon Dynamite. I like that Pedro. His accent cracks me up
Look at Wilshere’s reaction for the first goal classic!!
Bendtner shows no sign of improvement same with Theo and Carlos but slightly better than HRP
pires, vieira, dennis, season, thierry…. what a bunch of legends
season? what the fuck was i thinking?
i meant seaman
Curious bloke RVP10. Its snowing polar bears & dogs outside, & he decides to get out of bed to help his mates out. Nice one, & some nice touches as well

tactics against Mourinho..
What a difference a week makes
I’m getting ahead of myself but whose up for ending Utd’sunbeaten streak in the league. Perhaps a dodgy dive by Chamakh would be the best way to do it.
All the fan forums expect WHU to win it now. Wast Ham!
Time to show that we’re not chokers. Even if it is just the CC.
mAYANK
If Rvp remains fit we can gang bang them puncture the bubble before it gets inflated
Haha that would’ve been a lot more encouraging if you hadn’t mentioned RvP staying fit.
atleast he can give us December we need him especially when Cesc may remain absent
Morning!
We will do unto to Mancs, what Barca did to Real
Only complacency will stop us from winning the CC.For a team that hasn’t won anything for 5 years we are incredibly complacent.Hopefully Vermaelen will be available for that one.
One place or other we will meet Villans, right? Unless of course….
NEW POST!
QoS, I’m not sure it can be… we’re too big to take a risk like that.
That said… Barca took a gamble.
I think Pep told the President he didn’t have the cojones to employ him!
Paid off, didn’t it?
Limestone, Low is a good coach… but club level and international level are two totally different jobs… look at Chelsea’s last boss!
O’Neil is the favourite…
Ipswich… what a draw!
