I have just come back from the game, I am sober and pissed off. I have just watched Harry, a bent back hand taking mug from Pompey clean our clocks, I am angry and embarrassed, he is quite obviously better than you Arsene, why? Well because he beat you after you having a 2 goal lead at our place and he hasn’t even got your budget, no where near it.
Most of where I sit has been taken away to make room for Arsenal to make more money, and I have to queue for 10 minutes to get a drink, if that’s not bad enough I have to read everywhere on the walls how great you are, have you no shame? I could take that if you gave a rats arse for the fans, but you don’t do you, all you care about is you, and of course that brass in France.
I watched the line up, Song and Denilson our 2 worst players in the same team, are you taking the piss? I pay over £5k a year to watch you diss my team, I have argued your case for years and now I have had enough.
Whilst you’ve been sowing your own dirty little seeds in Paris, I’ve been writing a blog and defending you and your reticence to spend on proper and decent players, today was bollocks.

Firstly it has to be said that no matter how badly Arsenal play or who they lose to or even where they finish in the league Wenger will NEVER be fired by the Arsenal board – the accumulation of money is far more important to the board of directors than what you – the paying fan thinks about Wenger or how the team is performing. In fact, i dont honestly believe that they care at all – Wenger will there until HE decides to leave and his transfer policy will be that he spends what he generates from player sales and the players will be french – i would put money that Arsenal never win a trophy under Wenger again – they just dont have it in them….

We have the same problems for the last 3/4 seasons. I’ve watched the season reviews of these seasons recently and at the end of the review AW says that we weren’t good enough defensively and that it’s something we need to work on. 4 season’s later…no change. He buys defenders that have good technical ability. Why don’t we get traditional defenders, defensively minded defenders AND midfielders.
‘maturing of the team’ – It’s a waste of time developing the whole team as AW did. Don’t get me wrong, developing players has it’s place. But it should be done as in the case of Cesc. Talented young player brought in to play with the experienced, matured and talented players (including world champions). We’ve invested 5 years in this team. What are/will we get from them? We cant even get ONE trophy!?!?!?
formation – why have we thrown away the traditional 4-4-2? With two strikers in a more central position giving them more opportunity to score. 4-4-3 is more attacking but do we have the players to cope with this formation? In 4-4-3 the 3 forwards need to have a high work rate. We play samir, arshavin and walcott on the wider areas. All three players dont work hard enough in these positions. Given Samir has had great performances this season, he never puts in a full 90min performance (eg. yesterday).
And leadership on the pitch – As talented as Cesc is, he’s no leader. He ‘leads’ by means of example. But what happens when he has an off day? What made Roy Keane and Tony Adams great leaders is that they were vocal and head strong personalities. If they had an off day it did not affect their leadership on the pitch. They still held their team mates responsible for their performances.
Building Arsenal around AW – I’m concerned about this. No one can argue that he’s brought something special to this team. With the ‘invincibles’ we saw a team that played flowing, attractive football and a team that was successful. Difficult thing to accomplish. But AW is in the final part of his career and most likely will end it at Arsenal. But what will be left behind? The only reason players come to Arsenal at the moment is to work with AW. He is the drawing factor, not the club. The only reason players want to join a club is if the club is successful. We need to win trophies to remain relevant in the footballing world or we will go through a tough period after AW ends to at Arsenal.
I’ve read comments from users that he should go. Fair enough but who will replace him?
What would you want more? Him to leave? Or AW to deliver a team that can play our brand of football and win tropies?

arsenal should have scored 5 or 6 in the first half but no one shoots when they are close to goal. Chamakh had 2 opportunities but decided to stop running and tried 2 pass the ball instead. We need a striker who is more selfish and goes straight for goal. Van Persie is always injured we cant rely on him.

It’s very very upset in this game. The manager should index to him about his tactic and knowhow that are too old in the modern football especially about his vision. In modern football, the gameplan (tactic) when the team lead 2-0 is easy counter attack style (Theo is useful for this tactic not Nasri) to kill them as Newcastle done in Villa and Birmingham games to show how the professional football done no kindness to the opposit by holding football and passing again and again not thinking to scores. Every players are the parts of team that manager has right to use in tactic that he wants but Wenger has one style and one tempo not accept to change style and tempo that make this team die in3 home matches because every teams know what tactic (style and tempo) the Arsenal plays. He should change his tactic in numberous tempo(Fast and slow,direct and passing,counter attack and procession and finally effective setplays) and style(4-2-3-1 ,4-3-3,4-2-1-3(one pole striker with double support attackers and playmaker and4-4-2(double pole strikers) in the Entertainment and beautiful football that his high quality squad he has. I think the manager has too old knowhow not update or up to date and don’t think to new knowhow. We have been playing”after you Claude” football for years. We are too predictable and slow in the middle of the park. Fabregas is a very good player but slows things down too much allowing the oppostion to get men behind the ball. That’s “After you Claude” footie! We need energy and pace and power in the middle to compliment Fabregas. That’s what Flamini gave us and what we have lacked before and after he went. Re the Centre backs. We need a strong powerful CB. Why he has (Wenger) failed to correct this is beyond me. Djourou deserved to keep his place as he was improving. Kozzer gets too tight to attackers and cannot recover quickly enough when players turn him, hence the bad fouls or being allowed to run freely at goal…He is not goog enough! Finally we need a top class striker. Chamak works hard but is not a natural finisher, in fact I think is he has no confidence in his shooting abilty, that is why he shuns a shooting chance. It is not the end of the world but Wenger if you are as good as I thought you were you would have sorted out these glaring problems 3 years ago. The clock is running down…

Arsene can no longer motivate his team, 2-0 up and they thought the job was done – never this spurs we are talking about and the North-London derby. They gave everything in the 2nd half to beat us, Why? because it mean’t something to them. It obviously didn’t mean much for our players, they should give it all in that shirt.
They should have gone out after half-time and been ready for a backlash – do we seriously expect teams especially spurs to just lie down for us?.

I really do hope the deluded ‘Arsene knows best’ fans have fully awaken to the real world. Simply put, the decline started after the Unbeaten season. Replacing very good, skillful and technically gifted players with a bunch of ordinary players who tend to have a good game occasionally. These bunch of players have given a lot of the fans a reason to rightly question their quality, potential, mentality and attitude. It was never so with the likes of Henry, Bergkamp, Pires, Viera etc. I cant remember the fans ever being divided or ever questioning their quality or mentality.
Mr. Wenger replaced quality with potential which is still costing us till today. We all know that going for potential (Bentley, Amaury Bischoff,Lupoli etc – AW rated them all highly, where are they today? )is a lot of gamble and most of the time doesnt materialize.
I also think that team selection should be strictly performance and merit based (not based on AWs perception of the players potentials) and not that some would player would just glide back into the starting line up.
I still believe there is a fundamental flaw in the way Arsene prepares for matches. I think this should be the end of chamakh and koscielny in our first-team. Chamakh is just some over-rated cow that is scoring goals somehow. He doesn’t have the skill & Intelligence we need. He’s even slow…GOSH! Why did wenger have to break the djourou-squillaci partnership that has done us proud in the last few games?? Koscielny is dumb?? He should never come forward again in his life! He never hits free headers on target. RVP & Vermaelen, pls come back. As for Fabregas, he’s just a big fool! Why should he cover his face with his hand while he was in the box? Is that logical?? I’m completely gutted, disappointed and shocked. But we should not be surprised, should we? This is a trademark of this Arsenal team. How many times we’ve seen this kind of surrender before. 3 home defeats already this season. How many times we’ve heard all the talks about lack of mental strength, maturity, concentration? I’ve heard so many times over and over again that I’m sick to the core and don’t want to hear again. It’s all bullshit and insulting to my intelligence.
The Arsenal fans are the most trusting and tolerant fan group in the world. We continue to pay for the most pricey tickets on the planet. We continue to build up wealth for the board members and get next to nothing back in return. If this happens at any other clubs, the manager will be sacked. Arsenal is the only club in the universe where the manager will never be sacked. Maybe we shouldn’t pay for these ridiculously expensive ticket prices anymore. Maybe we should protest somehow. It’s so depressing the way it is.

Why do people say things like…”we’re only two points from the top”. It’s not about points..it’s about the performance…a performance when it really mattered.
