Arsenal should have signed Van Der Vaart say Robin the boy wonder.

by & filed under Uncategorized.

Rafael Van Der Vaart, someone who I said would have been a great addition to our team has now been endorsed by none other than Robin Van Persie, our fragile but talented forward.

‘I’d rather he was at Arsenal. I indicated a couple of times that Rafael would be useful for Arsenal but that advice was not followed.’

That’s what Robin said, after he scored 7 goals this season he’s looking like a great investment, considering he was £4mil less than Koscielny and only £4mil more than Denilson, it does make you wonder what on earth goes on in the transfer room at the Arsenal.

What makes it worse that not only did Robin ask Arsenal to sign him, he himself wanted to join, I wonder what Arsene was doing in the summer, oops, shouldn’t have brought that up should I!

Anyway, it matters not, not everyone rates him, and he plays for the spuds and comes to the Grove as an enemy this weekend so I’m sorry to say although I rate him, I also hate him!

Bacary Sagna urges us to not boo Gallas because he said he was very professional in his career at Arsenal, Bacary mate, did you spend the last 2 years with your head up your arse? The sit down at Birmingham, the spat with Kolo and the joining the spuds, you think that was professional?

Jeeesuus! I hope he gets booed more that Cole, in fact if it wasn’t for Gallas we may still have Cole. At least Cole only left us for the chavs and shoved a mobile phone somewhere dark and dingy.

Other news is Gilles Sunu wants to leave as he’s getting no first team opportunities, hmmm, that could be because he’s not very good couldn’t it? No chance Gilles, Arsene would never sell any of his vast collection of kids, anyway, I’m sure you signed a long term contract.

We are getting closer to the big one, not only could we go top, we will stretch our lead to 10 points, who-hoo! It could be our worse month of the season ends up our best ever November, get in there boys and show them no respect, they aren’t that good, and you know what? We are!

Have a great day grovers, tomorrow we fight in the shade!

yeah i don’t get it incesc either.

last season we smashed any little team that came to the emirates, and this season we’ve just not been able to hit our stride. i would say that diaby’s absence is HUGELY underestimated, especially against park the bus teams, but we shouldn’t have found it this difficult.

it seems to me to be that we’re more solid, but less sparky/fluid, because that came from vp, arshavin, cesc, and they’ve all been injured/off form. diaby facilitated the others to create too

  2. ritesh

True Incesc….but our yougsters were not really at fault, it was just the lack of spirit which was embarassing.

I really think that any National team needs a homegrown manager. They know the culture better and can better communicate the passion. Capello is in no man’s land

  3. Limestonegunner

That’s why I suggest the team above–we have had problems concentrating at home-think WBA–and while that isn’t the problem with Tottenham, we know someone like RvP will be super-motivated–no relaxing and taking this fixture lightly.

  4. A

not sure about that incesc, nasri and cesc in the midfield is unbalanced. need diaby/wilshere/denilson/ramsey in there for a bit more bite.

  5. choy

Against WBA, the team woke up after they scored the 3rd goal. We just weren’t up for it. If there was another 15 mins to play we would’ve won the game.

Newcastle, we missed that little something in the final 3rd, Chamakh was ill and we threatened very little. If Theo’s shot would have gone in, it would’ve been different!

  6. A

    I want us to start

    Fabianski

    Sagna Squillaci Koscielny Clichy

    Cesc Song Wilshere

    Theo Chamakh Nasri

completely control it, be solid, give them nothing and get a couple of goals, then bring on VP and Arshavin with 20 to go and bang in another three goals.

  7. ritesh

The match will be high tempo and we excel in matches like that. However, an early kick off is what our players seem to hate.

If they turn up, it will be an interesting match.

  8. A

arsene you fucking piece of shit. it’s all about arsene god-damn fucking wenger. fuck the team, fuck competitions, let’s get your god-damn fucking priorities straight here. the most important criteria is that arsene must have total control over his “work” environment so that he can make it just exactly as cushy as he wants. summercamp fun and sunshine tippy-tappy one-touch pass-and-move everyday with “nice” boys who don’t question the way arsene runs everything for his own god-damn fucking convenience and leisure. That’s what this fucking club is. a play-thing for that fucking egomaniac’s whims. Whatever the fuck arsene wants, it’s all about him, he’s ALL important.

  9. Limestonegunner

People definitely seem more nervous in anticipating this game. Just remember, we may not have been playing our best but we have been getting the job done away and there is no way our boys are going to take this lightly. The only issue is if we can’t finish chances because this is going to be an open game or if we have a defensive howler at the wrong time of the game. We avoid even one of those problems and we should still be superior.

That’s why I want Djourou–he’s in form, has been steady and isn’t going to lose his head in a big game, right now.

  10. Limestonegunner

Walcott will be motivated to outshine Bale–he has as many goals and assists in one third of the minutes Bale does. He knows what being the flavor of the month is about and the boom-bust of the hype machine in England–so what could be better than score and couple and help keep Bale pinned back?

  11. incesc

i never watch spurs so i know fuck all about bale, but surely if he is bombing forward, feo can exploit that space. Also if bale has hes job cut out not letting feo get space thats good for us too as he cant bomb forward.

    works both ways.

  12. A

    huh pharo9?

choy i dunno about arshavin, 90 minutes out in russia, always looks tired when he comes back from international duty

  13. incesc

the arsene piece of shit thing A…

    was that really you?

    5-1 would be good QOS

lets hope we arent holding on last minute like last weelk

  14. A

i don’t know what you mean incesc, but i doubt it. never called arsene a piece of shit anyways. some silly little idiot messing about i’d guess

  15. Limestonegunner

My only question about my line up is whether we start Rosicky over Walcott. Rosicky can’t keep the ball better but Theo will run them ragged and in an open, potentially end to end game you have to like him getting behind their defense for a few good chances.

  16. Limestonegunner

QOS, I like it. Cesc and RvP both get one each in the first half, in the second Nasri gets two and Walcott one. Spuds get a second half consolation from substitute Russian striker. Is that what you had in mind?

  17. A

Oh ok zeus/incesc, didn’t see that before.

Meh some inarticulate dumbass, or just someone writing who couldn’t be bothered to write a name and just chose same thing

  18. incesc

spurs will probably get the first goal, a ridicolous one off lucky strike from a shit player like usual.

then we will rip them a new one

  19. pharo9ja

A some little f**k trying to mess with u right there-gud thing u got an avatar. QOS I say 2-0 to the Arse! wanna bet?

  20. Limestonegunner

Choy, I think it will help us to score first but only if we don’t get complacent. spuds will come to attack and they are very tactically naive and don’t have Huddlestone or their first central pairing at the back, so they will figure that they just have to attack and go hell for leather with their new Superman Bale to bail them out with some lucky goals. Sagna is kryptonite and our central midfielders are going to swallow up the ball and keep them for being able to feed their wide play. All they do is go wide and cross in, so Djourou to win lots of headers against Crouch.

  21. JJ

Lots of lessons to be learned tomorrow. E.g:

RvP to start and show VdV what’s what.

Cesc to show Modric how to run a midfield.

JD to show Crouch how to head the ball.

Walcott to show Defoe what he can do when he takes the ball with him.

Nasri to show Huddleston how to lose weight and play good football.

Chamakh to show Eboue how to dive for a penalty.

  22. zeus

Apparently they are gonna be weakened cuz they have about 7 players out but though they got Defoe back.

If they give a start to some kid we have never heard b4 50 dollars on him to score at some point. Some kid/unknown ALWAYS makes their name against us.

Like how Roswe scored last year and we haven’t hearsd from him since.

  23. pharo9ja

yup zeus! also have u noticed how we seem to concede spectacular goals? It seems as if when u play against arsenal there’s always a nack to score goals of beauty. Essein ..check, Bentley …check danny rose …check Alex… check, Ryan giggs …check,c.ronaldo …check, mendez(portsmouth)…check, messi …check, jenas … check, the list goes on.

  24. TOMTOM

Just back from two weeks in Florida and I cant believe Newcastle beat us but at least we had a good win at Everton. Went into a soccer shop and they had two Arsenal shirts hidden in the corner while Chelsea,Man U,Liverpool and even City shirts all in the front window so shows how far we have fallen

  25. TOMTOM

I know but if its like that in America its probably the same in other countries,I dont really give a fuck but we really need to win something this year or we will be considered a small team and will make no money from shirt sales outside of England

  26. A

shirt sales mean fuck all, and i don’t give the tiniest flying fuck about them!

we need to win to win on the pitch, not because of shirt sales in other countries

  27. incesc

    harrys right

the sol campbell situation was different

we got their top scorer, best player and captain for free at the height of his game.

    they got gallas

    hahahaha

  28. Stu

Exactly incesc, why boo Gallas. Its hillarious that he plays for them now. A step down. Its just plain mean to harrass those less well off than yourself. Its like booing homeless people.

  29. Lurch LeRouge

Booing is fair enough, no racist chants tho.

After all we should be booing all 11 of the cunts not just gallas. :)

  30. incesc

I have no hard feeling to gallas.

poor fucker was a decent player and definitely cared a lot.

Its a shame the only club in for him was spurs, but for me he was never a proper arsenal boy so im not fussed at all

  31. Marko

I like Van Der Vaart a lot but considering how good Nasri and Wilshere look this season and the obvious improvements in Theo’s game coupled with the fact that Rosicky and Arshavin are there too we never really needed Van Der Vaart at all if we’re honest.

  32. Marko

I always love as well how every time we’re about to play spurs Jenas comes out talking his shit. The dickhead doesn’t even get his game anymore

  33. Marko

When talking about fans who give too much abuse to William Gallas Harry Redknapp said “They should throw those idiots out of football grounds and say, ‘Don’t come back’ – take their tickets away,”.

The last high-profile player before Gallas to move directly between the clubs was Sol Campbell, who still receives appalling abuse from Tottenham fans almost a decade after joining Arsenal.

Redknapp said: “Sol left in different circumstances maybe.

What a fucking dickhead. I worry for english football when someone like Harry Redknapp is thought of so highly and is considered the best english manager. He’s scum

  34. Lurch LeRouge

Looks like OGL thinks otherwise regarding shirt sales.

Wenger also confirmed that he was poised to complete the signing of 17-year-old Japanese midfielder Ryo Miyaichi.

“It’s very important that Asia is represented at our club,” he said.

  35. Lurch LeRouge

At least he’s coming round to the commercial opportunities…

As for Honda & kagawa I guess we wait and see what barcunts have in store for fab.

  36. A

I’d much much rather have Koscielny start tomorrow. JD is way too big and clumsy. He could really easily give away a penalty against any of lennon, bale, modric or vp

  37. Marko

I’d say it’ll be the same team that beat Everton. I can’t wait for the game it’s gonna be the Samir Nasri show tomorrow I’m telling ya

  38. Lurch LeRouge

Ordinarily I’d agree with you A.
It’s the crouch knockdowns to VDV choco leg that keep me awake. Squid’s had a enough games to understand JD’s flaws and keep him focused I think.
Gallas, crouch and kaboul in the air aren’t to be discounted.

  39. David

JD isnt any less clumsy than Kozzy.

And Lurch youre absolutely right, we need our best defender in the air to deal with all those crosses.

Its no wonder everyone is creaming themselves over Bale, he’s crossing to a 8′foot giant ffs.

  40. Lurch LeRouge

    ————Fabianski
    Sagna–squid–JD–Clichy
    Cesc—-Song—-Nasri
    Rosicky–Chamakh–JW

Theo on for Rosicky @ 65 ish Arshie on for JW @ 70 Denis on for Cesc or Samir at 4 nil!

  41. Marko

You like Koscielny Dave? Cause overall I think the only bad games he’s had were the ones where everyone were shite like West Brom and Newcastle.

  42. Lurch LeRouge

    Wouldn’t mind this either

    ———Fabianski
    Sagna—Squid-JD–Clichy
    Cesc–Song–Nasri
    RVP–Theo–Rosicky

  43. David

I like Kozzy i just prefer JD ahead of him.

Too many times the ball bounces over Kozzy, and that just shows a lack of concentration imo

  44. OPG

The Midfield is key, if we can’t control a midfield against Jenas (Average) and maybe Palacios (out of form) it’ll be tougher game than it should be.

On paper we look much stronger, but they do have 3 very good players in Modric, Bale and VDV who are a threat going forward but I don’t have the firepower without a fully fit Defoe as Crouch and Pavlychenko are usually ineffective and slow.

At the back they are vulnerable, the quality of our attacking players should be able to take advantage. Gomes looks more shaky than last season, their fullbacks are weak defensively and while Gallas and Kaboul are decent they have poor lapses in concentration like last week against Sunderland and Blackburn.

  45. ardentgooner

Can’t sleep…so excited about the derby… but i should get some sleep before the game….atleast 5 hours… ahhhhhh Cmon You Gunnersss!!!! 3-0 to the ARSENAL!!!

  46. reggie 57

C’Mon you rip roaring Gunner’s put them spuds back in their box………. 4-1 today you can take that to the bank you cock sucker’s!!!

  47. Confidentgoner

This team was too wasteful especially at the final 3rd. Chamakh was very guilty of this. Now that Peter crouch is coming we need to really stop these crosses.

  48. leon

i cant say i am over sumprised this not a team who knows how shut a game out,i have read alot comments that this team needs world cbs thats there opinion,i dont think this team knows how kill a team off and are clearly not a very a clinical enough team,in my view the most efficient team in prem is chelsea they have a lead particualy at home the game is done,i known this for while evon before sunderland game this team dont know how to shut up shop and finish a team off,in my view this team do need cb and striker and a keeper.this team needs to know how kill a team off untilthey do they willwin nothing

  49. Dutchmasters

Well, we all know now how that match ended..
And VDV (the one you don’t need) was important in all 3 goals: 2 assists, and 1 goal.

Oh.. btw.. the last 4 or 5 games he DID play DM for the Dutch team (i saw several comments he NEVER did). Before there was no place for him. And ever since he’s in the team, orange plays great again (and still win).
