There’s a whole bunch of rumours out there at the moment and whilst I like them, the question is, do I believe them?
Let’s look at the first one, Andy Carroll, the 6’4″ striker is a big lump alright, in fact he’s not a bad player, but is he much different to Bendtner or Chamakh? Yes he scored against us, but that was more a goal keeping howler than a well worked goal, so for me this rumour is a rumour and it’s not going to happen.
He’s also about to go to prison, if there is still a law against beating women up that is.
Now the other bit of gossip is the bit about Gary Cahill, big strong centreback with pace and presence, yes is the answer, I’d have him. Do we need him? Yes, you bet we do, I know we have Squillaci, Koscielny and Djourou but they aren’t the real deal like Vermaelen, and he may be out for the whole season.
So as far as I’m concerned, Koscielny isn’t good enough, Squillaci is okay and maybe Djourou will come good, but none of them are solid enough and we are still very suspect at the back, so yes, in a heartbeat.
Good news is Gibbs is back in training and possibly back in the squad for the Everton game, Diaby has responded well in tests but you have to ask the manager, why are we persevering with him, he’s always broken, he’s certainly not intelligent (as Wenger likes to say) and he’ll be forever standing in the way of buying a player that would make a difference, like a Shweinsteiger.
I’d now like to move onto JET, who is scoring amazing goals for fun in the rub-a-dubs, when Flamini, Song and Denilson arrived they went straight into the team and got game after game, often to the annoyance of us the fans, we’ve started to play Wilshere on a regular basis so why not start giving JET playing time? He’s already better than Bendtner, maybe he could play in the hole, like Diaby would if he was fit.
What would we have to lose eh? I’d give him a go, shove him on against Everton, we could do with a bit of height in there.
That’s it for today, that’s about as positive as I can be right now, a win against Everton would be amazing, maybe this is the time to try plan B.
Have a great day Grovers, tomorrow is the weekend and the love will return.

AW never slags off his players public. You wonder if he really means what he said about Almunia or if he is just saying that publicly?

Chamakh shooting accuracy 67%, shots/goals ratio 0.24.
Bendtner shooting accuracy 56%, shots/goals ratio 0.16.
Everyone agrees Chamakh works harder.
Most people agree Bendtner’s first touch is garbage.
Link up play probably debatable.
How again is Bendtner the better player? Or for Jaguarse, how is he 10 times better?
Oh sorry, stats are meaningless unless they support your view..
I’m Bendtner’s biggest fan ffs, and even I don’t think he’s ahead of Chamakh at the moment.
YET that is.
Bendtner needs to join a Fight Club or go to boot camp this summer and come back with his head shaved or buzzed (ala Tyler Durden), have a large chip on his shoulder, start chewing tobacco instead of gum, and maybe elbow a couple beer league guys from Austria in the warm up matches.
Then I will say he is on his way to world class status.
World Class cool, that is.
Bendtner will become the better player in 2/3 years though.
I can’t think of too many young strikers who’ve accomplished this much. He isn’t given enough credit as far as I’m concerned.
As for Chamakh, I don’t get how you can underplay his contribution this season. He’s been our best player after Nasri. Theo and Koscielny are close too.
Bendtnr has already 2 goals in around 3 games. Don’t see why we’re complaining so much.
Our main focus should be on getting Cesc and RvP back to full flow. Then we’ll be talking because our squad depth as of now is simply unbelievable.
I can see him punching himself and dropping his pants in the process!
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has admitted he is disappointed with his team’s poor disciplinary record and has pledged to improve it.
Arsenal have been shown four red cards in their 12 Premier League games this campaign, with Jack Wilshire, Alex Song and Laurent Koscielny (twice) seeing red.
Despite only Wilshere being dismissed for violent conduct, Cesc Fabregas’ late tackle on Wolves Stephen Ward on Wednesday has brought Arsenal’s disciplinary record back under media scrutiny.
The Gunners are regulars at the right end of the Premier League Fair Play table and Wenger has told the club’s official website he wants the club’s poor record this season to improve immediately.
He said: “I can’t deny we have a bad record, the only thing I can say [is] we will try to improve it.
“If you look at our record in the last four or five years we had always a good record and we are not there on purpose because we want to kick people. We will improve it.
“It’s a bit down to bad luck as well because if you look at the number of fouls we make it’s not spectacular. But we have been punished severely and we can only look at ourselves and try to improve it.”
The 61-year-old dismissed the notion his players have become more physical as a result of rough treatment they feel they have been the victims of in the past few years.
“I believe we want to be committed in the challenges but we do not want red cards,” Wenger added.
“Physical doesn’t mean that you want red cards. I think we have to look at the situation and what we do and we want to improve our record.”
Wenger also confirmed left-back Kieran Gibbs will be in the squad for the trip to Everton on Sunday.
The England international has only played 19 minutes of first-team football since the end of September after picking up a knee problem in the Carling Cup tie against Newcastle United.
“We have the same players available [from the Wolves game],” said Wenger. “Kieran Gibbs is back in the squad but we will see tomorrow [whether he plays].”

Just leave it Wenger. We are fine.

I’m not complaining.
I just tend to think he lacks a little bit of focus on the pitch for a guy who has plans to be the best in the world.
I love his James Bond tuxedo and image on his website, but sometimes the gum chewing and dopey smiles during matches kinda gets to me. It makes me think he isn’t all that serious.
But you are right, he gets results and already has a handful of important goals to his credit.
He had to say something about it zeus!
He was smiling all the time about it!
@ Trevor…LOL…”How again is Bendtner the better player? Or for “Jaguarse”, how is he 10 times better?
JAGU-ARSE
bendtner talks to much
zeus
“Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has admitted he is disappointed with his team’s poor disciplinary record and has pledged to improve it.”
I really hope these comments are just a smoke screen like SAF’s were about Rooney leaving United, coz I’m loving the hurly burly Arsenal. It sends out a message like the Title winning years
G-Star – I love your new Arsenal staff list. I think we’d have more chance of a trophy though I am not sure of what my impact would be as a transfer listed player!
Almunia is transfer listed (wengers quotes that he is not for sale curely confirm he is for sale) and he still plays so there is hope for me.
Cahill??? Last thing we need is an Englishmen who couldn’t trap a bag of cement!!!! We like to control the ball and build out of the back, not kick it to row ZZ every time. Of course you guys think that “is a world-class” player
Bendnter is god’s god. Well that just makes him god as we know him mortal I gues.
Hey hey hey Adrian! Who the fuck are “you guys”? I dont want Cahill at all, dont throw me in with those few that do. Read the fucking comments, not just the post!
Koscielny isn’t good enough? Seriously whoever done the post hasn’t a clue or is watching Arsenal games with I hate Wenger blinkers on. If people honestly think Gary Cahill of fucking Bolton is the defender we’ve all been waiting for since Adams left and is much better than Koscielny or Squillaci then holy crap in a hat they’ve lost it.
Agreed Marko, Koscielny is twice the player Gary Cahill is. Cahill is a good player but imo will never make it big..he’s in that grey area between good and world class.
Koscielny on the other hand has the potential to be the best defender in the world.
Some people on this blog sometimes think signing an english man, any english man, will solve something anything. Gary Cahill is not better than Koscielny and the truth is bar the West Brom and Newcastle games he’s done well. And in the West Brom and Newcastle games most or all had shockers.
Koscielny is on par with Vermaelen as far as I’m concerned.
fuck off rohan
next you will say eboue is better than grimandi
and marko you always say:
“people on this blog”
like your better than us shit munchers
im pissed btw its friday
up the arse
Rohan is the greatest wind up merchant on the planet.He/she is obsessed with the likes of Bendtner.Clearly he hasnt watched the likes of Titi play for us.
Who’s ‘us’, Jaguar? Last I heard, Thierry was an Arsenal player not a Totten-fucking-ham Spud.
I also don’t see why my belief that Koscielny is better than vermaelen is so out of order?
Vermaelen made loads of howlers in big games last season. That’s not to say I don’t rate him.
Just saying that some people seem reluctant to give Wenger credit for unearthing a very good player and would rather blindly call him shite just for the sake of their personal pride.
And all of this comes from Jaguar,eh. As I asked Pedro a week ago but never got a reply: What exactly does Jaguar bring to this blog?
Other than unfounded vitriol and hatred that is.
Hello honeys!!
I’ve been really impressed with Koscielny. I don’t know if its just me, but he oozes class. Yes, he’s made a couple mistakes but his performances on the whole have more than made up for that imo.
He’s a proper defender, one who enjoys his job. His one v ones and tackling is right out of the top drawer. If he gets a tad bit stronger, gets a yard of pace on him, he’ll be one of the best defenders in the world within 2 years.
Again, this is just my opinion and I will eat humble pie if I’m proved wrong.
Christ, it’s doomer convention right now is it. Be back in a bit- naan and curry awaits pick up.

Fuck off rohan you twat.
Rohan
not missing Indian food eh..
and I am with you on Koscielny he will be the best defender in 2-3 years and he is still better than most, but I have my doubts over Bendy . Will he remain at Arsenal till that time ,yeah but I am ready to eat humble pie.
I thought I could do without Indian food but every week that goes by I crave it more and more lol. It still doesn’t come close to home-cooked food though. I can’t wait for winter break when I head back home.
Rohan. How old are you son?8 or 9?You dont bring anything to this site other than infantine infatuations about the likes of Bendtner.

One-on-ones,he is the best?
If he is the best at that, how did he get two yellow cards for dealing with the last defender.Koscielny is Aston Villa standard, not Arsenal.
sorry for double comment I did some nasty experiments on chrome not facing its wrath

FFS..
Wenger said,
“I have been very pleased with Nicklas’ attitude and spirit. He has to continued to work, and when he is completely match fit he will play. I can understand because he has put a lot of effort in. Now he has to be a little bit patient. Nicklas has a good level of confidence and that is not bad, but you have to justify it on the football pitch He is getting sharper in training. He will play games. But we are a big club and we have big strikers

Even Wenger knows he’s been shite.
