We finally beat the chavs!

by & filed under Uncategorized.

Our academy team beat the chavs 3 zip at their gaff, and in front of Ancelotti, now he will know what it feels like to lose to a London rival!

Paddy Vieira thinks that Man City are a bit behind us, so at least there’s someone else out there that thinks we are a top 3 side, I look forward to when people look at us as a title contender, remember those days when it was the Mancs and us for 8 years, first or second?

I was wondering what Wellington Silva is like, I understand he is joining the first team squad in january, I remember when we had Vela coming in, a new signing the boss said, but Wellington is being lauded as the next Brazilian superstar, I hope he is as good as they all say, what we need in this team is someone who can do the unexpected.

We need a Ronaldo, not a Denilson Brazilian, no offence mate, I’m sure you know what I mean.

If all else fails this year at least our kit is nice, I think the white sleeved retro kit is our nicest since the one that had the hooped socks and the lightening stripes.

There are strong rumours that Liverpool could go into administration this week, surely not, administration? Now for all their faults I wouldn’t wish that on anyone, well except them, the spuds, mancs and chavs that is, that would be not only funny, but seriously deserved, they bang on about having no money, but they have spent more than anyone other than shitty.

Being financially prudent makes sense, and we at Le Grove has never condoned silly spending, but you don’t have to spend silly money to make this team unbeatable, and I think that’s all Cesc was saying, too late now though.

Maybe by January there will be someone out there he’ll surprise us with, after all some of our biggest signings have been in the window, remember Theo, Ade and Diaby?

I would personally like him to try out the two young pretenders over the next few games, see if they have it, we’ll know, after all we know that one okay game doesn’t make Fabianski the answer anymore than one game against Fulham makes Mannone the answer, but I would like to see if Chezzer or Mannone have that bit of magic that you could see in a young Seaman or a young Shilton, I remember both of them.

One thing I know for sure, the two we are currently alternating most definitely haven’t got it.

Someone needs to explain to me why we need a whole week and a half off before an England game, I know the other nations played on Friday, so why could we not have played last Wednesday?

I would like to see Internationals played either outside the season, say June or Christmas (with a break) or played midweek without stopping weekend football, if your nation loses players, hard luck.

Anyway, only a week to go before we play again Grovers, so plenty to talk about before, not sure what yet, but I’ll try not to repeat myself, if you have any ideas, put them forward and we’ll give it some thought!

P.S. If you want read something else, check out Tatty Nut Nut. If you didn’t catch our Kick Campaign video, take a look! Arsenal Arsenal have also lent their support to the campaign, many thanks guys, spread the word and get people contributing!

It’s a flat weekend, there’s no sport save the Grand prix and Lewis has a shit car.

And worst of all, we have to wait a week for the football.

    Morning all!

  2. samir masri

    Brian

whatever happens our players will continually get back to the treatment room. cos its obvious that our players are cursed with this stupid injuries. And good morining everybody!

  3. Brian

    Samir

Its the price we have to play for only looking at the dribbling abilities of players instead of looking at the whole package.

  4. melvyn

Fabianski shouldn’t be dropped he played well at at he chavs and he is by far a better GK than MA he just lacks confidence where MA lacks simple technical ability.

Samir was outstanding last night and so was Clichy outstandingly bad !

  5. Brian

damn it! pharo9ja, I heard he was not playing how did he get himself injured? How serious are we talking about here?

  6. pharo9ja

Is it possible to organise a protest at the next home game? Maybe like get organised and stay outside the emirates for the first half of the game and probably display placards that will demand the team and players to at least make an effort to “fight” for the title?
If you look at teams below us and especially games we’ve played against the likes of Wigan last season and Birmingham the season before,on paper it was supposed to be 3 points in the bag. Now these teams are not on the same technical level as us but they at least put up a fight each and every time. see west brom this season.
It’s may seem all easy for me to suggest since I don’t live in England, but I do think it’s worth a try. I believe if this can be done, anytime the players bottle a game ala wigan, or don’t even put up an effort like in the chelsea & man u games of last season, they’d be very much aware of our feelings.

  7. Am

If Liverpool do go into administration, so all their players will be sold on the cheap.

So why not get Raina in january for 6-8 mil.

  8. Pedro

AM, being in administration doesn’t mean you sell your keeper who is tied down for 5 years for a pittance.

Morning all! Top post Geoff, I’d like to see Mannone or Chezzer given a run in the first team. Fabianski is a calamity waiting to happen… and we all know it. He should be the player going out on loan.

What a situation… Mannone and Chezzer could be our 1 and 2 by the end of the season.

  9. pharo9ja

@ Brian heard it was at training.@ Am,there’s no way the bindippers would sell Reina for that cheap Admistration or not. You should be looking at 10 to 15 mil. Either ways, we should make a bid if they’d sell.

  10. Pedro

Pharo9ja, you’d never get the support for a protest. Things aren’t great, but I think there are clubs with far bigger problems compared to us…

  11. LAzer

What a solid fuckin bore these internationals are. Who wants to watch a friendly between the Papua new Guineans and Eriteria?? Even the Eriterians have better things to do on a Saturday than that.

  12. pharo9ja

I agree Pedro, but I was looking at an alternative to booing the players at emirates. But like u said it would be almost impossible to get support for a protest. even a soft one like that.
I wish there was a way to make this team know how we really feel.If u noticed, I didn’t mention Wenger because some how I feel if these bunch can grow some cahones,we may not necessarily be where we find ourselves

  13. Pedro

Sorry Brian, I don’t understand your question?

pharo9ja, the booing at the Emirates is the best place to make a statement. If our keeper drops a clanger after everyone said they weren’t good enough… I don’t see the problem.

Personally I don’t do it, but when you have a manager who puts crap between the sticks, it’s to be expected.

  14. LAzer

We have a fantastic “squad” imo. Most positions save DM and GK have good competition between good players. And in terms of depth we rival are two main opponents in Utd and Chelsea, now if we could only win a big fuckin game vs. either.

I actually think Denilson is a better tackler than Song, who has been woefully out of form and been found out a bit since last term. I don’t think Song should be an automatic on the team sheet by any means. Diaby isn’t as good as either as a tackler but can make surging runs, great dribbles and has an eye for the occasional goal. Denilson is likely the best passer of the lot and better at shooting from distance.

  15. melvyn

Pedro – I think you are wrong about Fabianski but only time will tell – he is not helped by the current back four who dont exactly exude confidence plus the DM (Song) in front of them – well thats when he’s not marauding up the park.

  16. LAzer

Jack can expect to go back to the bench when everyone is fit and firing (as if that will ever happen).

I think Ramsey was ahead of him last year and still may be by December. Than Nasri, Cesc and Rosicky are all AMFs. I think Nasri hasn’t found the best spot in the team yet. Sometimes I feel he is better on the sides but he always drifts in and rarely puts in a cross. Arshavin and Theo are better at those spots I think. Through the middle as the Cesc role he is not a good enough passer imo and plays too much for himself.

Where do everyone think Nasri’s best spot is?

  17. pharo9ja

But on second thought, if one or two brave fans adopt to protest outside at the emirates, and the players continue to be lackadaisical,u may be surprised at the level of support the protest might get. I bet you if we had a period where we suffer losses to say, west brom(in the same manner),Blackpool and west ham,the protesters would grow from say 2 or 3 to 50 and maybe more! wishful thinking…I know!

  18. LAzer

And what if we lineup in a 4-4-2 with…

Jack/Ramsey and Cesc in the middle, Rosicky and Nasri on the sides and Bendtner/Chamakh and VP up top?

How does that sound? And Arshavin and Theo as impact players…now that would do some damage.

  19. Jaguar reloaded

Song has to be dropped if he think that he is better than the average player he is and moves forward on his own will. But dont think its the case,as it happened for three consecutive matches, when we dropped 8 points.
But,Wenger being the mug he is,might want to improve Song’s career,by making him score more goals, that he can sell him for a price, and grab his bonuses from the transfer fees.We wont win anything, when we have some retarded players like Diaby who think, they are better than what they are,and a manager who is only interested in his own agenda over the interests of the club.

  20. pharo9ja

The van der weil(sic) rumours have resurfaced…if it does happen would that mean Eboes out? I think van der weil is a better option.

  21. Jaguar reloaded

    No chances, Pharo9ja.

Van Der Weil,is defensively sound, quality and hence expensive,Non-francophonic,which are exactly the reasons why Wenger wouldnt want him.

  22. samir masri

    lazer

I think that nasri best position is at the center of the midfiled. But we’ve got cesc playing in that position. And I’m not even sure if Wenger knows the best position which suits nasri.

  23. Tsion

Sagna didn’t play yesterday n ofcourse diaby aswell
am kinda worried abt vermalen injury it remind me of rosicky injury when wenger said “he will be fine for de next game” n missed two years of football well I hope he will be back quick but???

  24. pharo9ja

Jaguar just reading thru ur comment and I agree somewhat with the first paragraph. But really, can u explain “wenger’s own agenda” and how do u relate his supposed bonuses from player sales?

  25. Frichie

Why put Diaby’s kick to John Terrys face in the video?

That was hardly reckless challenge, he was clearing the ball and terry put his head in the way :-/

  26. Jaguar reloaded

Pharo9ja.Wenger is only interested in making player’s career, and not the success of the club. The more money he makes for the club, the more bonuses he grab.Greedy bastard

  27. SurferX

    Oioi..

You guys have my sympathies in having to come up with new material everyday- especially at times like this when we are in this joke of a break. When I was a kid, I used to say things like ‘if I could choose, I’d rather England win the world cup than the Arsenal win the league’. So much of a joke is the FA and English loving media that I’d rather watch Arsenal ladies win than watch an England match. in fact, I haven’t watched a non-tournament game for 10 years!

As for new material, I think there is a piece to be done of the tactical evolution of this Arsenal side. Two of the most common comments I read are that the players aren’t as good as the Invincibles (undoubtedly they’re not), as well as AFC play like Barca. However their are some fundamental differences in tactics they (I believe) go some way to reconciling the underperformance of this squad over the past 2 years.

Football has changed hugely since the Invincibles: AW has evolved the teams tactics to go along with. However, at the moment he hasn’t created a formula to succeed as it did 6 years ago. Just how much is tactics, and how much is players? Would make a good talking point.

One final point; pool going into administration cannot be compared to (say) Pompey. Pool are not insolent- they can afford to meet their short-term liabilities excluding one: repayment of the RBS stake. In normal circumstances, RBS would never dream of calling in the debt (as it places them at risk of getting a pence-in-the-pound offer back for their stake).

However, here it is an obvious play to force through the sale; in effect bypassing gullets and hicks ownership. The interesting point is the points deduction. I believe the PL rules regard insolvency- technically they are not. They have also approved the takeover. My expectation is they’ll give Pool an easy ride on this- no deduction (or minimal, just to appease other clubs).

  28. Rohan Passey

I’m hearing Chamakh has picked up a suspected head injury. Very ironical I know, I’ll get you more on that as soon as I get it.

  29. pharo9ja

Jaguar I, like a lot of grovers dont agree with a lot of wenger’s decisions. I personally think he is stubborn and a bit arrogant. This may be so because of the powers vested on him by the board. I do not agree with you that he is greedy and most of all a bastard. I do think we the supporters should be rewarded for a patience so far as well as paying the most for ticket prices in Europe if not the world.
He may really be getting a bonus for every champions league qualification.
Now assuming for the last 4-5 years he didn’t have money to spend and he was asked to guarantee champions league qualification to generate revenue as he was being offered a new contract, would it be out of place if he had put in “x” amount of his salary as bonus if he meets the set target? As an employee in the same circumstances wouldn’t you do the same?
Jaguar you need to understand that first and foremost wenger is an employee of our club and if he is a fan i.e loves the club now,he wasn’t when he joined the club in ’96. The same man has won titles and FA cups for his employers. I do think your hate for the man has blinded your ability to reason. I also think some of the hate you have for him should be leveled at the board. They pay him, they offered him a new contract and most of all they don’t give a fuck about you or me!
Most of the time you don’t make sense and you are very repetitive of the sense you don’t make!
If you’re that passionate of the club why don’t you make a placard with how you feel written on it and start a protest outside the emirates, you might just be surprised with the support you might get. I suggested it earlier and you just be the brave guy we need to start the protest. If I lived in England I’d ave joined you in the protest but with a different message on my placard!

  30. hitman

    1 point out of 9.
    2 defeats on the bounce.
More goals conceded than last season.
Already 7 pts adrift and the season has barely started.
Shows how far we have fallen when even this kind of form is no longer considered to be a crisis.

  31. LAzer

All depends on how you frame it really hitman. We dropped to 11 pts behind at one point last term but were nearly level at the business end w/the Chavs. Cesc broke his leg vs. Barca, we got stuffed and the rest as they say is history.

Anyways personally I don’t think it is a crisis but the loss to West Brom at home was definitely a shocking disaster. Every team fighting for the top can probably afford one or two of those during the course of the season and its shit that ours has come so early. The boys should be embarrassed with that result. We HAVE to win away at Eastlands to negate that…and go on a good run now.

Dare I say it, 3 in a row would be a crisis.

  32. Jaguar reloaded

LAzer,do you think we will win at the East lands, with Diaby and Song in our side?I think we will be stuffed 4-1.

  33. LAzer

I think if we have Cesc in the lineup we have a good chance of breaking them down. If we score they have to come out to play instead of sitting back w/three DMs. Adam Johnson will be a worry though with Clichy I think. Tevez is terrific of course but if he plays up by himself I think we can handle it. But if they score first watch out for a defensive wall. Again, having Cesc available will make all the difference.

If I had to rank pure passing ability and vision for attacking mids I would say Cesc, Rosicky, Wilshere, Nasri.

  34. Samir Nasri Is Infact Andy McNab

Arshavin and Nasri were in great form for their countries. Nasri only managed to be a major threat for 45 minutes until Romania put two men on him at all times.

It will surprise noone in here that Clichy let Romania through on goal at least 3 times.

  35. ritesh

    Lazer,

I would rate Wilshere ahead of Rosicky in that dept. Overall, I think JW is ahead of Cesc too as he is more complete in defending and attacking which gives balance to the team.

With JW and Rambo (if he regains his fitness next year), we will be a great team. Song, Diaby and Cesc will have to make way.

A midfield of Arshavin, JW, Rambo and Walcott will terrorise oppositions.

  36. ritesh

Clichy is Calamity Clich now. If Real Madrid wanted him, we should have sold.

We had Traore and Gibbs. These 2 can do the job for us.

We should also have given Eboue more time to get better in the defensive dept instead of putting Sagna ahead of him. Sagna gave us only 1 good season. Eboue is God!!!

  37. ritesh

Jaguar, If we have Wilshere, Cesc and Walcott playing in that midfield with Song as anchor we have a chance actually.

My only worry is the attacking dept. We need someone to bang the goals in and we do not have a true no.9.

We have Van Persie yes….but its almost like, well you know!

  38. gambon

Lol Walcott being in the side means little, or is it another case of an injured player being made into the messiah?

City away shouldnt be the scariest game, but theres no doubt there style f play is one we really struggle with.

  39. LAzer

Traore is more of a liability defensively than Clichy, far more. Gibbs is close overall to Clichy but hasn’t over taken him yet imo. Also Gibbs is proving to be very injury prone so far…I would rather we kept both for now.

JW is no where near Cesc in the attacking sweep stakes. In fact the role that Cesc plays he is the best in the world for me at the moment. Name one attacking mid who can create from anywhere and score 20 goals in a season. His goal and assist numbers were remarkable and will only get better. Two years of proper development and perhaps if we are very lucky JW can come close to that imo.

  40. LAzer

Walcott was in terrific form Gambon, I think it would be hard to argue against his goal scoring numbers before the injury. That said, being in the side for Walcott means something significant for us on that right side I think.

  41. Jaguar reloaded

    Gambon,
Why wouldnt the City away game be not scary?Only the Blackburn team(in a game of crass v/s crap)came away with a point from the Arabian City.We dont have the physical features to match them.Even our full strength team was battered last season.I expect a 3-0 or 4-1 loss.

  42. steven

Great post Geoff like the flow and style of this one. I stongly feel we will sign someone in the window.

    Surferx,
tatics are the thing i see being the biggest problem besides injuries. It seems over the past 3 or so years when watching you always said, where are the people in the box, now it seems he is sending everyone up and not leaving enough back…Do you think its our tactics or our players havent adapted to there new orders.

  43. Pedro

Afternoon all… I’ve got a lot of ratings to catch up with on that sheet!

    Have we signed anyone yet?

Paul… what did you think of this is england 86?

  44. This is England

Pedro i was away on holiday when it was on.I have recorded it but not watched yet.I have heard it was not that good.By the way i am Clockend now, hope to have some for you soon.

  45. SurferX

    Steven,

I think the problem is 75% tactics, 25% players. Or rather- most of the players we have are ‘good’. Unfortunately, when it comes to having the players to suit the tactical formation he is trying to get work- we have too many in some positions and not enough in others (and indeed, in a couple of key positions- you could argue none at all!).

The comparison with Barca is a good one. They have certain players in key positions that we simply dont.

I think there is a lot of player-hate directed to some players (Song, Denilson, Diaby)- yet, interestingly Im not usre they are the biggest culprits to why we dont succeed.

  46. bishop

if clich’s yesterday’s game is what some of you here rate as bad, then i have to say the act of moaning here is becoming unbearable.he had an o.k game yesterday.simple, there is no denying that he has a great dip in form..but coming here to give your own personal report because you dont like a player doesnt mean you shud come here and tel us sometin different.i watchd the game with a few fellow gunners and we all agreed he had an average game,he even had 2 good crosses(unlike before),getting better bit by bit(my hope).someone even had to call for traore.

  47. Mayank

Anyone worried about the press reaction to JW, they’re already hailing him as the messiah. A bit dangerous.
He’s not the cocky kid that went to Bolton, he has matured, but this might have a bad effect on him. Especially if there’s a dip in form.

That said he does seem like he can handle it.

  48. bishop

    pedro/geoff.
Can we realy think of someting that can be done.example is someone suggested a peacful protest(that wud be hard).rather than the constant moaning everyday by day..its becoming too much.we all feel the pain and we all know that wenger lately has not been up to it and some players are definately not up to it,even some people on the board…even the day you write articles that are very informative, like our finances, etc.majority of the comments are diaby is wank, song is sluggish, arshavin is lazy, nasri is a circus, sagna cant cross, clichy is cunt, denilson has no brain, kozz is lightweight, squillaci is too old, chamack cant shoot, gibbs is crock,r.v.p is glass, rosciky has lost it,bendtner is proud, not to even mention the goal keeps…we end up moaning about the entire arsenal day by day..its pretty clear that everything is frustrating(am extremely frustrated).
So my suggestion is cant we get ways or delibrate on ways our voices can be heard as one instead of the delibration/ arguments daily about a shit player or the other.
Le-grove is the most inflencial arsenal blog for me and with the most passionate fans including jaguar reloaded..lets start delibrating on ways forward…

  49. This is England

Pedro it was just a cock up our end,so we lost those seats, but got clock end instead pretty much the same view.

  50. Kushagra India

Top posting Geoff considering you and Pedro give us something everyday to debate.Well here in India this weekend was simply about CWG and India winning in Hockey against Pakistan 7-4 really was the icing on the cake will play England in semis, should be a great match.

  51. Pat

Come on lads. Everyone will be fit in time for the Shiteh game. If that gets us 3 points and everyone STAYS fit, we could easily catch the chavs…..

  52. kev

we just have to take it one game at a time now. forget shitty we have birmingham up next and they wont be a pushover. we looked past west brom before – thought wed have no problems with them and look what happened there

  53. Dutchman

Rafael van der vaart did say today that he wanted to join us! But we had no interest in him!! WTF?? He was 8m and he is 10 times better then diaby or denilson!
Shit, we had to sign him!

  54. skandibird

Dutchman; well that is soooooooooooooo typical!!! I wanted VDV since a long time ago, what is the matter with AW; Given wanted to join and now VDV?????? No, AW rather sit tight and use shite players like Denilson, Song and Diaby, well, I suppose he thinks we’re going to win the PL with them, and Almunia/ Fabianski.

  55. kev

van der vaart wanted to stay in madrid and fight for his place. then madrid spent a ton and brought in loads of players and he knew hed get fuck all opportunites to play. he made his decision and had to live with it. he was linked with loads of different sides but nothing happened – spurs were his only option. he was desperate

  56. Dutchman

Guys, sagna and chamakh injured!! Sagna for three weeks, chamakh two weeks!! What a facking bad luck!!
Why do we always have loads of facking injuries!!
How can you win something with every player out!!??
    We are so facking unlucky!!

    injured team:

    almunia
    sagna-vermaelen-frimpong-gibbs
    walcott-ramsey-fabregas
    RvP-bendtner-chamakh

    Great team, isn’t it??

  57. neveroutgun

England U21 aren’t a bad team but i still can’t see how danny rose is ahead of albrighton and wellback still playing while it is clear that he is shit.

wilshere, henderson, albrighton are the best players imo

bertran is ot bad but gibbs is miles better

  58. Gunnernet

Maybe that’s the reason why we have 80 players in a squad, where other teams have 24! HAHAHAHA same old Arsenal, same old luck…

  59. Dutchman

We have three strikers, and all three are out!
THen we have our three best players out of action (walcott, vermaelen and fabregas) our first keeper and our best left back!! Jesus!! How can we win against city??

  60. Dutchman

Gunnernet, it is unbelievable isn’t it?? We can’t do something about the injuries in the internationals.
    We are so unlucky!!

    vermaelen
    walcott
    chamakh
    sagna
    bendtner

all out because of those stupid internationals!!

  61. yawn

“some of our biggest signings have been in the window” ade, theo and diaby. really ? if that’s a big signing i’d hate to see a small one. not the greatest of signings either. hoping for something better this time around.

  62. zeus

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH JOY! Arshavin for striker now. FFS.

Or the smiling anonymous Mexican. Just Spectacular.

*middle finger to the injury fairy*

  63. reggie 57

I think it’s already too late! other teams will gel and get stronger while wenger will stand there and refuse to buy……..

  64. kev

nah its not too late – the season is only after starting! injuries are killing us and so is wengers inability to spot weak spots in the team that need to be strengthened.

basically the same stuff thats been hurting us for the last 4 or 5 seasons. we still have a chance to win the league but we have to stay in touch and hope wenger makes a couple of excellent signings in january.

  65. reggie 57

Dont like saying it mate but we havnt got a cat in hell’s chance of winning the PL? the way thing’s are going i would take 4th place as best for this season imo……

  66. Chris G

Who’d you prefer van der fart of nasri? If VDV came to the ems there wouldn’t be much options for him IMO. Not in the system we play.

  67. kev

if we can make it to january still in touch and make a couple of top class signings were in with a great shout.

i agree at the moment were not good enough – even if we put out our best team we still wouldnt win it. theres big question marks over our keeper a couple of our defenders and without an in form VP were lacking a world class centre forward. well see what happens in january.

  68. kev

theyre both fairly similar in my opinion. theyre both attacking mids – if nasri can play in our system id say van der vaart would have no problems

  69. kev

then were fucked man! well win sweet fuck all without a couple of new signings – not freebies or bargain basement losers

  70. A

Kev I’d say Nasri has more discipline. VDV just wants to play his own game really.

Wouldn’t have been adverse to us snapping him up, though no need for him at all really

  71. Rohan

Right maybe off the bench if needed akin to when he did the same against the Spurs last year.

Either way, if Cesc, Theo and Bendtner are back, we should be able to do them.

  72. zeus

Can’t understand for the life of me the VdV love in. Yes he is better than Song, Denilson and Diaby, but VdV doesn’t exactly play their roles does he?

And don’t retort by saying you don’t need a specialist DM cuz as long as you do a bit of everything and use your head there will e enough cover for the back 4. That won’t work for us, we spend so little time of defensive training that we probably need 4 DMs to give that back 5 a chance.

VdV is no better than Rosicky anyway, just like Huntelaar, a panic buying by Madrid who realized he wasn’t quite as good as they’d hoped.

  73. Ja_Gunner

    Jamaica played well first half.
Getting complacent tho, Trinidad can easily get back in the game.
I would like to see this game on tv afterward.

    Totally different perspective.

Yes we have the jack on our flag, & you have a wagon wheel on yours, but still 22 million have wiped 1.2 billion people like a a dirty arsenal

While you were blinking, your population went up 50,000 & we won 5 more golds.

who plays up front now? We are back with no striker to lead the line again.

People talk about the bad luck of having 3 strikers injured, but actually it’s not luck:

    VP: is always injured
Bendtner: Has been injured before the season started

Any normal manager would have realised the dangers of starting a season with that. I commented pre-season that I didn’t think we were strong enough up front and was shouted down in certain corners. I would add now: where are our goals going to come from up front? We have Chamakh with a head injury, which is particularly worrying as he never uses his feet anyway, and Bendtner returning from a longish injury, and he is far from prolific at the best of times. Vela?

Ebeneezer Wenger will focus on how his team are victims now. Its not his fault he has “deep pockets & short arms”. He surrounds himself with players who are made of glass, and carry on as if they have a value like crystal.

    But both are breakable.

As Morrissey says “This storey is old, but it goes on”
