We didn’t sign Ozil, but Wilshere is like a new signing.

by & filed under Uncategorized.

As you all know, I was crying out all summer for us to sign Turkish German Ozil, I rate him and think he would have gone a long way to replacing Cesc when he goes in the summer, we didn’t, but we promoted Jacky boy to the first team and I genuinely believe he is like a new signing, I think he will be better than Ozil and up there with Cesc, and we got him for nothing.

I also think that Koscielny and Squillaci are going to click and with Chamakh starting to fire, we may have actually signed 4 spanking new players, and 4 that are going to make a difference as opposed to the Silvestre/Bitchslap type of player we have had in the past.

Today we really get to try out this new team, on the back of a Champions league thrashing, we go North to a dark and foreboding place to secure a result that often alludes us, also against a form team and a disciple of Fergie, nay a Fergie arsekisser.

Today we get to see how good this team can be, today I think we will stuff them, they won’t have little pit bull Cattermole, which is a shame because he looked good for his third red card of the season, if we want to win something this year though we will need to brush aside shite teams like Sunderland, today I think we will show we can do that, Tuesday we will stuff the Spuds and next Saturday we will beat West Brom and top the table.

Back to Wilshere, it’s great to see him playing so well, he seems to be getting the nod over Denilson and Eboue now and that makes sense, he’s miles better, although he liked West Ham as a kid, he is from Islington so his DNA is assured, he has nowhere he needs to go back to when he becomes the world greatest player, and the way he’s improving, that shouldn’t be long.

So for the first time in my memory I would say Jack Wilshere is not only like having a new signing, he is like having a world class new signing, well done boss for giving someone with genuine talent playing time, he’ll come good.

If Ramsey comes back as he left us, we have a lot to look forward to this season. It’s just a shame that Frimpong got his injury, but we do have JET and I’m guessing he’ll feature on Tuesday.

I have no problem giving youngsters their head, if that is they have genuine talent, Coquelin and Nordtveit are also in that category, but to keep persevering with players that aren’t that good is just a waste of time and it ends up costing us. No names, no pack drill but Jack Wilshere is a real statement of intent and that Arsene I applaud.

We are going in the right direction, fast free flowing football with really talented players, Arshavin will suddenly explode on the scene and today I expect to see Rosicky playing a bit part.

Have a great day grovers, another big win is what’s needed today!

You are being a bit harsh. Two freak goals? The one today and whats the other?

Don’t forget that that tired team scored one, put 2 on the plate for lazy AA23, and TR7, who you wanted to start, skied the ball from12 yards. I don’t even think that ball has come down to earth yet.

Our Cbs were absolute class today, no heart in mouth moments when they bombarded our area with long balls.(been ages since that has happened and I didn’t feel nervous)

    Shoulda won though.

Just seen the replay of the equalizer again.

No way around, Clichy cocks it up. Boot it to row Z whats so hard with that, he panics and makes it awkward for Kozzer. Fool.

  3. Man

Just read through some of the comments. Keyser you, also, was chatting shit about us deserving a draw. What nonsense!! We started slow but we weren’t under any serious threat and we even outplayed with 10 men. Silly comment man silly.

I’ve just been working on a fashion show all day in a railway arch. Just did a speed read thorough the comments. How funny. At least we didn’t lose which is waht a few expected. MOTD later,

Calmed down enough just to say:

Thought Koz and Toto were awesome at CB today.
We bossed them with 10 men for almost whole of 2nd half. The way that the front men were playing little triangles was beautiful and should have been rewarded with the 2nd goal; shite pen!

Song is a twat. He makes stupid fouls because he does not win the ball enough, should have been booked for stopping sund player by tripping when on floor. Then gets stupid yellow by reacting to crap reffing. Then gets 2nd because he got megged; FFS megged by Malbranque, hardly Ronaldo! Twat twat twat! He looks like a plank and I am losing faith in his ability to learn the mental intelligence football wise to step up to the level we need.

Clichy. Panicked at brum, cost us 2 points and momentum. Shot by sniper against scum, cost us 2 points. Panicked today, no excuse as it was sitting nicely on his left peg; cost us 2 points!
He is fast, great, let’s sign Usain Bolt shall we! He got done by an average winger too many times today and once he crosses the halfway line, other than pace he contributes nothing.
I hate Judas, but he is ten times the player Gael is.
If Gibbs was ready I would give him a chance, but I think we may have to stick with GC for this season, however the boy is a fucking liability!

I’ll just throw one into the Allardyce and Blackburn debate…

I’ve just watched MotD and they were making a big point about the Blackburn players (El Hadji Djouf) deliberately blocking the keeper.

Cast your mind back to last season and that Flappi-hand-ski performance against Blackburn last season, where David Dunn was doing exactly the same thing.
I am certain that MotD said that a keeper should be stronger. Blah Blah.

    Hypocritical bastards.

PS I thought Song was unlucky today!

  7. goonermichael

Just watched MOTD. If Song had been wearing a wankchester utd shirt no way would he have been sent off. Not in a million fucking years. Not a great result in the end but netter than last year. Why did TR7 take the pen? Off to bed now.

We have two more points than we did last year from these same fixtures. As long as Cesc can come back and play for next CL game and Chelsea after that, we’ll be okay. Waiting to see what happens at Chelsea–can Chamakh start scoring away and against big time opposition? I feel like we are tougher and stronger than last year and hope we won’t get thrashed like we did last year by them. But that will really give us a good sense of where we are and what we might expect this year.

The away support seemed magnificent today. I could hear chanting throughout the second half of the game, which was fantastic! Why is it so sedate at the Emirates? More clapping than singing.

    Arsenal! Arsenal! Arsenal!

    Thomas missed a penalty?

    Shocker.

Cant remember when he had a shot on target.

Arshavin is utter wank. He should play reserve football.

Playing Wilshere in this game was just plain fuking stupid.

Your team is on the back foot.

    You have an extra sub.

WTF are you doing there on the touchline you idiot?

Make a sub and win the game.

    Seriously Wengers tactics is shocking.

  10. David

    1. Arsenal are shyte without Fab4

    2. The combination of Clichy/Almunia/Denilson has been fukin us over for years.

    3. If we dont learn to be prolific we will never win anything.

  11. MickyDidIt89

The reason we did not bag three points had absolutely nothing to do with Almunia, Denilson or Fab4 going off. It also had nothing to do with Song.
You can have a go at the ref, but then we start to get into the “its so unfair, nobody loves us” bullshit.

We lost, because we did not score more than them.
Now, three points away is not such a bad thing when playing crap, but the defence did their bit yesterday. We scored a lucky goal, and nothing else from Cham, AA, Nas or Ros. There’s the problem.

  12. SUGA3

    MIDI,

check out my post of 22:16 – all I said was that so far we did extremely well against poor teams, whereas struggled against teams of reasonable quality – Sunderland and Pool and needed freak goals to draw against them…

  13. SUGA3

the last 10 or so minutes of the game was all about Sunderland’s onslaught, can’t remember when it was the last time in the game we managed a well executed offensive move…

  14. reggie 57

That equaliser should not have counted though as it was 15 second’s over the allocated stoppage time! normally the ref blow’s up when the oppo clear their line’s unfort we had a first class cunt reffing us!!

  15. MickyDidIt89

Ah, ok. I would say that it is always going to be tougher against better teams, and that very rarely is one goal enough for a win away from home. I just get the feeling that too much blame is put at the door of the midfield and defence. Of course it suits some, as then they can have a go at the usual targets. My feelings are that to score more than one you need to look at the attack. How effective were AA nad Nasri yesterday. I will answer that, not enough for a win.

  16. SUGA3

    reggie,

we’ve been through this shit more than once: we are not the refs’ favourites, and the game is played until the final whistle…

the manager’s job is to form a team which will be more than enough to cope with the above two on top of everything else, no?

  17. reggie 57

It dont help when you have got half your team injured (the usual suspect’s) and the season has only just begun!! pfffffttt!!

  18. MickyDidIt89

I can feel it. Clichy and Song to blame. Some people simply refuse to recognize our real weakness against good or tough opposition.

  19. SUGA3

well, I am gutted to have conceded in the dying seconds, but reasonably happy with a point, as we did not really deserve anything out of this game, did we?

  20. reggie 57

No we did not deserve to take all three point’s due to a sub standard performance! but playing with ten men away from home where the two centre back’s dealt with the areial threat whole heartedly and then got undone by that lemon Clichy once again arghhh it feel’s like a loss……….

  21. nishanth

Gibbs and eboue will start.Gibbs is better than clichy.Djourou is sure to start.I hope squillaci or vermaelen starts with him and not nordtveit.

  22. gnarleygeorge9

Look I know its not being true Arsenal by leavingbefore the final whistle, but I turned the tele off 3 minutes & 50 seconds into 2nd half injury time.

Anyway, 3 more points in the bag. Great win that
