So Le grove is 3 years old today, for all the people that make this blog the best Arsenal forum and the most commented on (682,770 and counting!), a big thank you, we still write 365 days a year and we don’t take ads, we still offer up an alternative for real fans and we will always love the Arsenal, we don’t always see eye-to-eye with what the club do, but that’s what makes us different, if people don’t like us, don’t read, but for those regulars that do, thank you for making us what we are today, independent and a fun place to chat all things Arsenal.
Back to the headline!
It all sounds a bit like ‘Our dear leader’ Kim Jong il in North Korea. Sit down, shut up and get what you’re given, then of course, say thanks.
Now before anyone gets on their high horse and tells me I am comparing our leader to their dear leader whose country murders and tortures its people, I’m really not. I am however drawing a parallel with the management methodology, how? Read on.
A Q&A with shareholders is a chance for smaller individual shareholders to ask the manager questions on subjects they generally feel are not being answered in the day to day scheme of things and never get asked in press conferences or the lip service paid by arsenal.com
The last Q&A was when an irritated shareholder asked Arsene Wenger why he would sign a geriatric defender like Mikel Silvestre, well Wenger was angry he should dare be questioned and not praised, but sycophant Bob Wilson was apoplectic and very, very angry that anyone dare question our dear leader.
That kind of shows that our Bob has never had a real job and really thinks that Mr Wenger is way too important to ever question, well he obviously forgot he did just that when Stuart Taylor wasn’t getting played, and he was the goal keeping coach, hmmm bit hypocritical that isn’t it Bob?
Anyway, as a result of that, the next Q&A was cancelled and the re-scheduled one is on a vetted questions only basis, in other words only questions he likes can be asked, well frankly, what’s the point of doing it then? That’s the parallel with Kim Jong il, he won’t allow any form of criticism either, see where I’m coming from now?
After the last one, Arsene said judge me in May, well May came and went, he wasn’t judged and has since had a pay rise with a new 3 year contract.
Unsackable, unquestionable, no one to answer to and results don’t matter, as long as we finish in the top 4.
Now I’m not suggesting he is sacked, far from it, but I do think he should be answerable, a series of checks and balances be put into place and all the arse kissers and toadies he surrounds himself should be thrown out. We should have Watchdogs, like some areas of government do, groups that stop the country becoming dictatorships.
David Dein was the last to provide that and he was thrown out for daring to disagree.
I’m a shareholder boss, let me ask you a few questions, first of all the judge me in May statement, were you judged? You said it, not me.
Onto Cesc, he said this at the weekend to a Spanish newspaper, ‘In the end I had to stay, but the content of my conversation with Arsene Wenger will remain private’
I bet it will, but if we find out that you were given even more cash to stay for one more year, I for one will be livid, the fact that Barca are keeping the number 4 shirt free, suggests to me they will get Cesc next season and we will promote Ramsey, if that is the case, it’s easy to see where the money goes, on bribing our players.
So that will be my second question Arsene, have you paid Cesc more money to stay, saying if we win nothing, you will let him go?
My third and final question is this, I don’t want to know what you earn, all I want to know is do you earn a bonus if you don’t spend the transfer budget, in other words, do you get more money if the club make more money?
Let’s move on to people who live off the popularity of other entities. Parasites. Let’s start with the twat from Togo.
Adebayor who can’t get press coverage anymore unless he talks about Arsenal is at it again, Ade time to shut up mate and concentrate on getting into your own team, ManCity fans are beginning to get pissed off.
It also reminds me of another Arsenal blog (sort of) that writes about us to get anybody to comment on his.
I know this because he devoted his whole blog to us yesterday (and another one earlier in the week) and quite a few of his readers came over to see what we are all about, read yesterday afternoons comments to find out what happened, that’s how I know, by the way, they are still with Le Grove, another smart move by our blog stalker, no brains and now, no comments. They all defected!
So today’s post hasn’t been a criticism, it’s really been three questions I would like answered, I am a shareholder, I won’t be going to the Q&A because it’s another staged, sanitised, blowing smoke up the managers arse session, so I’ll ask my questions here, let’s see if anybody from Arsenal has the good grace to answer them, you’ll find my email at the top, I know you read us.
We all love our team and we will get behind the players, even if the donkey from Shrek was our keeper, we’re sure he’s not, but we are all in shock as to why you didn’t sort out the keeper situation after you told our top two they weren’t good enough, and you did, by putting in a bid for Schwarzer you told them just that.
Too late now so we all hope Almunia is thick skinned and has a blinding season, sack the flapping at set pieces and he could be the man, Bob, you were a great keeper, tell him. We can all see it.
Interestingly with the injury to spud Dawson, Gallas will get his chance to play against us, that will be interesting, the spuds will have to cheer him and that will be worth the admission alone, lets see them cheering a Gooner. Even more reason to put out a strong squad now, we can’t let them beat us with an Arsenal reject now can we?
What sort of young team can we expect, here’s my idea of a second stream.
Mannone
Eboue Squillaci Djourou Gibbs
Wilshere Nasri Diaby
Rosicky Chamakh Vela
Now I would be happy if he fielded that team, second string but strong all the same, what do you think?
Finally, I love the squad now, I think we look physically stronger than last season and they have that glint in their eye, the ‘we won’t be beaten’ look from yesteryear. But will you just tell our captain to stop talking to the Spanish press, surely everything that needs to be said has been said a 1,000 times already.
Have a great day Grovers, not long left until we get to win another 3 points against another team from the North West.

i disagree,Koscielny, Squillaci,Chamakh,vermaelen are not good buys.
a-i don’t
another mediocre wenger buy to fuck us over for another season.
Are not good buys ? Coming from you that means they’re near enough World Class, never seen you soo happy, pretty surprising.
ok,there shit.
Doesn’t really work, that’s all you say, how is anyone supposed to tell what you really mean.
Chamakh and TV5 are good buys, even if they haven’t really shown it the top high pressure games of yet.
The other two…….jury still very much out on them.
Where shit? HA!
Good addition, TV5 was good for us, gave a few teams something to think about. Chamakh gives us something even Adebuywhore doesn’t, real movement upfront and strong heading ability, Koscileny is a very good reader of the game, and he passes real well from the back. He will come good from what i have seen so far. Maybe should move to DMF. We all know Squillaci’s credentials.
The 24-year-old multimillionaire footballer is said not to care whether Coleen seeks a divorce after a prostitute claimed that he paid her thousands of pounds for sex while his wife was pregnant.
Rooney, who is to play for England against Switzerland tonight in Basle, is apparently adamant that he will not be criticised by Coleen and her parents.
A source said: ‘Wayne is not prepared to take any s*** off the wife and her family, not least because they’re all living a very nice life off the back of his talent.
‘If she can’t handle it and it’s over, so be it. Seems he thinks he can pretty much do what the hell he likes because they’d all be nothing without him.’
*************************
The ‘source’ in this article if FUNNY AS FOOK. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Fucking hell Zeus, you’ve really stunk the place up by mentioning “Wazza” havent you!
Zeus
What a complete scumbag, you are supposed to love your wife and children. I understand that some people are weak and will cheat but Rooney seems to lack even the basic human emotion of empathy in order to feel guilt or shame about the humiliation and pain he has caused those closest to him.
On behalf of the night shift, I’d like to wish Le Grove a happy 4th birthday.
Shrek will cause Manure dropped to 5th this season ha, ha! We will be treble champions but levelled on points with Chelsea with 3 goals difference more enough to pip Chelsea above.
1. Arsenal
2. Chelsea
3. Man City
4. Liverpool
5. Manure
6. Aston Villa
7. Blackpool
.
.
.
19. Spuds COYS eh!
20. Stoke City woohoo!
anyone seen Ethan?
night shift grooving…bust out the Barry White
Koscienly weighs 160 pounds.
That is a tasteless joke.
Can anyone give me tips for getting tickets to the Carling cup tie? I’ll be visiting London from the US that week. Other engagements during my visit mean that the weekend premier league matches during my visit are not possible. If you lot deem that an impossible dream, can you recommend a London-local team from a lower division worth watching?
Thanks,
Dirk
just want to know if im free to give my views? i enjoy reading this and sometimes i also want to comment
Morning All
Dirk – email Pedro on this query,i am sure he will help u out…Email for tickets is on Top of the page under “Contacts” section
Morning SIG,
Did you have a good feast this morning?
Don’t know how you guys do it, especially professional athletes burning 4000 cal a day.
Morning Lurch
Had a feast last evening mate, difficult to eat MUCH so early in the morning,i can only eat simple things in morning, but do infulge in a feast in the evenings, when we open the fast
I dont know how eagerly the professional athletes adhere to fasting, when they r in competition…
I think professional guys can burn it so easily the feasts than us normal people.
4 more long days to go..cant wait for our next two home games…
Hope we dont up any international injuries…fingers and toes crossed
Sabeel, I’ve been in hotel bars in Dubai during Ramadam watching all the Sheiks eating and boozing!
I fast during Ramadam and I’m not even Muslim! I do it for you guys.
Manutdfan, I’ll let you on but behave, or I’ll bin you.
Dirk, if you’re still around the problem with the Carling Cup game is that it’s away – when Arsenal play at home in the Carling Cup they often reduce the prices as the demand for the tickets is less due to Wenger fielding a reserve/youth team. However as the game is away and our allocation will be about 4-5,000 it will be tricky, though not impossible to get tickets, unless you fancy sitting with the Spud fans.
Ramadam? Didn’t he used to play cricket for England?
Mark Ramadam wasn’t it
It’s just a shame that Australia dropped out of the cricket scene, I used to like beating them.
Kolo observed Ramadan according to his teammates, I imagine Traore does but not sure Nasri fits the profile, if you get my drift.
Thank Christ Aussies are good swimmers, hope you got yer floaties on Bruce.
I remember reading somewhere Kolo said he didn’t pay any attention to ramadan during match days as he felt he’d be letting his team mates down by being at a sub standard level of performance.
For a bit of balance, here’s a bit of stuff on non muslim fasts : http://www.aryabhatt.com/fast_fair_festival/fasts/Vaikuntha_Ekadashi.htm
Lurch unlike that postage stamp size piss farter of a country you live in, the floods are about 1000kms away from me
Geoff
Wow, thats great to know u Fast too..
Back here, like u,people from other communities also do.
I fast it so that i get to “Feel” how the hunger and poor people “Feel”.
thanks Geoff,
i’ll behave dont worry.
Now what have I done to deserve this? How can u compare me to wenger? I’m only trying to lead my people to greatness, unlike wenger who seems to be doing the opposite. Me and my friend mugabe feel insulted by your depiction of us as on par with wenger in degree of tyranny, @least we do allow some questioning &we certainly don’t take 6mil pounds yearly from our country especially if most the money comes from the highly taxed citizens who we don’t allow to ask questions.
Other than this your blog is really exciting & happy birthday. I hope to blog here more often (of course only after your apology)
