Tonight will show us the team taking shape, no more bargain basements please.

by & filed under Uncategorized.

Big game tonight people, this game should see the way the team is shaping up for the Emirates Cup this weekend, I’m interested to see if he plays Song with Diaby, Eastmond or Frimpong, it’s quite obvious we won’t be signing a DM, so we’ll have to choose from what’s on show tonight, it won’t be Denilson, that’s for sure.

So will he elect to play 4-3-3 or will he go for 4-2-1-2-1 leaving Chamakh up top alone? Will Cesc be back for the weekend, will he be back at all? We’ve done that to death so we’ll let time take care of that one.

We hear that Ramsey has bulked up and we know that Jack has, maybe we’ll see a completely new look team from the back through. maybe he’ll play this team at the Emirates Cup.

Stekelenburg/Hart (please)

Nordveit Koscielny Vermaelen Gibbs

Song Frimpong

Nasri

RVP Arshavin

Chamakh

or

Chezzer

Sagna Vermaelen Djourou Clichy

Song Wilshere Nasri Diaby

Chamakh RVP

or

Fabianski

Sagna Vermaelen Campbell Clichy

Frimpong

Wilshere Nasri

RVP Rosicky Chamakh

And a bench of Theo, Vela and Cesc (if he’s around!)

Either way, as I’m writing, apart from the keeper, we do have some options this season if we buy no one else, so my message to the boss is, buy decent or don’t buy at all, with all these frees on the market, we don’t need them.

Maybe there are a few DM’s out there that are available now, Mascerano, De Jong, Kompany, Ireland and Van Der Vaart. Some of you may not see some of those as DM’s, but I think they could all do a job and if we retain Campbell, and Koscielny and Djourou come good, then the Keeper and the DM spots are what we need to push on, as make no mistake, the others, the chasing pack, will be chasing hard.

A last word for the Mancini revolution, what revolution? That toe-rag is buying his team, he said the big 4 has spent big in the past and Man City are catching up, someone needs to explain to him our buying policies!

Have a great day Grovers, tonight is the last big experiment before it all begins again in ernest!

Didnt see the first half but yet again, when he came on in the second half, Wilshere played CM next to the DM, rather than attacking midfield like you’ld expect. I wonder if he will stay and play there for us this season or be played further forward when Diaby is back playing.

Has the Fucker wenger come out and said anything in regards to transfers?? he is seriously pissing me off, if we dont beat the bin dippers, i think we could be out of the title race after the first 5 games

  3. MARK GOONER

    no deal stu

did no cunt interview wenger after the game

where are the quotes to put fans minds at ease that he is going to address the situation

weve got alot of premiership experience already and replaced it with 2 players that have it all to prove, if we dont sign a keeper by emirates cup, i think that he wont, as he would want to give a new keeper games before anfield. this shoud have been sorted long before now

if we are to win the league we are going to have to rely on vela in certain games throughout the season to make a differnce, i have doubts he will be able to cut it

im bored of talking bout theo as he never seems to impress me

wilshere has to stay this season

  4. MARK GOONER

++ weve lost alot of premiership experience already and replaced it with 2 players that have it all to prove

hopefully this is wenger’s last season,he can then fuck off to manage the youth team or leave all together, after that we can appoint a manager that doesn’t claim coming 3rd is like winning a trophy.

  6. Dan,The Gooner.

wenger was applauded by VIPs before doing his presser with them watching in a tent. He poured himself a glass of wine!

  7. This is England

The other day I needed to pay a visit to the public toilet, so I found a public toilet that had two cubicles.

One of the doors was locked. So I went into the other one, closed the door, dropped my trousers and sat down.

A voice came from the cubicle next to me: “Hello mate, how are you doing?”

Although I thought that it was a bit strange, I didn’t want to be rude, so I replied, “Not too bad, thanks.”

After a short pause, I heard the voice again. “So, what are you up to?”

Again I answered, somewhat reluctantly, “Just having a quick shit… How about yourself?”

The next thing I heard him say was, “Sorry, mate, I’ll have to call you back. I’ve got some cunt in the cubicle next to me answering everything I say.”

mr pedro sir i can not wait for your post tomorrow morning i think will just stay up all night and wait for it i just cant stop biting my fingernails!! =)

  9. Goonerman

Pedro – I think you should knock up 2 open letters; 1 to Cesc to put an end to all the speculation and the 2nd to AW to get buying world class GK and CB.

I just saw that bastard Pulis on SSN; if he had taught his players how to tackle Rambo would not have broken his leg.

  10. Big Dave

Daily mirror tomorrow will run a story about us being linked with a German centre back, maybe Ivan is out their after all.

    Nite nite

  11. nigerian gunner

    jus saw the highlights..
jackie boy is the bomb…………he must stay at the groove this season

  12. Ray in SF

    timings an interesting thing

with Sol indicating that he’s coming back and with Djourou moving well, Mr Wenger might have thought, aye, aye, we’re all set in the back four department

now Sol’s gone awol and Djourou’s injured and Kosielny’s not made the impression that was hoped for…yet

to start the season with Vermaelen playing both CB’s is a bit of a stretch even for our far-sighted manager so…

it’s open season for us Mertesacker, Diakhate, Zapata, Cahill

get at least one of them in and get them settled, Anfield’s only a couple of weeks away and the clock is seriously ticking

  13. Ray in SF

I feel a disturbance in the force, DDM has had his first caffeinated drink and is in a controlled simmer, trying not to renege on his promise to wait until September 1st to erupt

  14. Rohan

I dunno, Ray..I’ve quite liked Koscielny from what I’ve seen. Very very calm on the ball and pretty efficient with the ball on the ground. We haven’t got to see his recovery pace yet but he does seem to be a pretty decent buy.

  15. Socrates

Wow! We beat a team that’s in the third tier of Austrian football, AUSTRIAN!! THIRD!!, I think am even too good for that team, Crazy!!!

  16. Rohan

I’d absolutely love it if we got Vertonghen ( who can also act as back up DM ) and Mertesacker. I’d be positively ecstatic.

  17. Ray in SF

me too Rohan, I have this weird feeling that Kosielny may get some playing time as DM if we add a monster like Mertesacker

but Vertonghen or Zapata would also work well in situations where we needed to support Song

glad you’re positive, I’ve had such a shitty feed on ATVO that I can’t judge Kosielny’s performances personally, just going on the general comments

  18. dennisdamenace

I personally try not to read too munch into pre-season friendlies against garbage opposition. However, the one thing i fully expect to see is that the supposedly superior team should be organised, and to that end i will say one word……..DEFENDING

  19. dennisdamenace

Yep, the fucker’s injured, but AW will persist with him, then at the end of the season he’ll state that injuries cost us, and mugs will swallow that garbage!

Forewarned is forearmed, but never in our case!

  20. dennisdamenace

Agreed about that munta in goal, imagine being a new guy at the centre of defence, looking for assertive confidence from your GK to help build your own confidence, and you got that mug behind you….

  21. GoonerT1m

There will be some defensive work done surely GK and CB an absolute must ……I refuse to believe he can be that stubborn….can he?

Brent – No one in their right mind would go into a new season relying on the fitness levels of Campbell and especially Djourou!! Guaranteed Djourou will be crocked again in next to no time!!

  23. tonyadamsisgod

For me, A Djourou injury and Campbell going to Newcastle was just about the most perfect way to end the day yesterday!! Now fucking act on it Wenger you silly little prick!!

  24. dennisdamenace

    Same old, same old………

Going into a new season with proven crocks, then at the end of the season crying like bitches at how much injuries have cost us, fucking insane, yet muppets fall for it every year….

  25. tonyadamsisgod

People have been talking up Djourou like he’s gonna be the next fucking Franco Baresi!! 2 things. 1) He’s permanently fucking injured. 2)He’s fucking garbage when he isn’t injured. “Oh but he plays for Switzerland!” Whoop de fucking whoo!!

  26. tonyadamsisgod

DDM – Its truly fucking astounding that people are still saying that we would have won last year if it wasn’t for our injuries! What injuries to RvP, Gallas, Bendtner, Rosicky and Walcott!! Their fitness records are fucking atrocious! The only surprise injury was Fabregas!

  27. Jaguar

Now,the overrated shit player Chamug has scored a fluke penalty against a shit team. Wenger doesnt give more chances to a talented player like Vela who is way better than Chamug.

  28. Sabeel Indian Gunner

    Morning Guys

Bottomline is, its another year, and it is same old story,we start the season with same depleted squad of arsenal with the same old injury prone players,

Whats changed ..NOTHING…who can blame a real winner,if he wants out of the club, who hasnt shown any ambition to solve there problems in there squad…

  29. Jaguar

Djourou’s injury means that we will have to get atleast three more World class players. Our CBs
Vermaelen-Decent but need a good partner
    Kolshitieny-Shit
    Djourou-Shit whenever he plays
    Nordveit-Unproven

No other top team has such a bad defence.Wenger, act on it,you greedy retard

  30. Goonerman

Jaguar – If I were a new boy in the office I would hated hated you to be my boss. Why don’t you give people a chance? Are you a sadistic?

  31. Jaguar

Goonerman,I would give chances to people, who are ready to die for the cause, not some players, who are here only because of a senile nepotistic hypocrite called Wenger, who looks at the passports and the language spoken by the players, than their abilities.

  32. Goonerman

Chamakh and Kon may be ready to die for the cause. You don’t know as you ain’t seen them in a full match yet.

    Give them a chance.

  33. dave T

jaguar change the record its not only a broken one but one that has become really tedius and sad. What do you mean he looks at the passports and the language spoken rather than talent. It just makes no sense.

  34. dennisdamenace

How can any team have such an injury prone first team squad for such a long time while sitting on such vast reserves of cash? Forget the ‘quality’ of certain players for a minute, if 15% of your first team squad are statisically (because we all know who likes stats) are likely to be missing due to injuries for large pasrts of the season, how on God’s green earth can you call them first team regulars, and even worse rely on them to be available when they are needed?

  35. Jaguar

Dave T,Chamakh is in because he is free and speaks French, despite being wanted by no other top club.Kolshitieny was not the best defender in a shit French league. What other proof do you want?

As a top club,we should be buying top players like David Villa, not some poor man’s Villa like Chamug.

  36. gambon

    Wenger is an embarassment!

He dithers while he should be signing people, makes embarassing offers for players, and is scared to make needed changes.

If he wants to be fucking scrooge go manage fucking oxford.
