Good morning and welcome to Monday mornings packed post of Arsenal news and blogging fun. We’ve got loads to get through today, so no time for idle chit-chat… not even time to tell you how devastated I was to find out the office is out of tea bags this morning and how I feel that one small incident might have a profound affect on my ability to perform this week at work. A truly dark day for supply chain optimisation…
First up, can everyone stop suggesting petitions for Arsenal fans to sign? Yep, stop those, stop the facebook groups and the twitter groups. I don’t think I’d have to look far to find which subsections of fans are doing it… it’ll be the British. A typically organised style of inoffensive protest which is admirable, but pointless.
You can’t petition FIFA against Barcelona if they haven’t done a single thing wrong. I think a petition makes the Arsenal fans look weak, it highlights the Cesc story further and it has zero benefit to the outcome of the Cesc saga.
If Arsenal thought for one second any foul play was at hand I can assure you they’d have lodged a complaint on Sepp Blatters table before you could say ‘pass master’ or ‘he’ll be like a new signing’. What the clubs should be doing is lobbying FIFA to change the rules of engagement when it comes to any member of a clubs staff talking about another clubs staff or players.
That would be unworkable?
Well, you might think that, but maybe I could provide a case study.
The NBA has extremely strict rules when it comes to speaking about another clubs players. LeBron James, one of the most highly rated basketball players of recent times is on a free transfer this summer. Mark Cuban, owner of the Dallas Mavericks was asked if he’d be interested in the player this summer to which he responded,
‘Anybody would be interested’
This comment had him hauled in front of the NBA Panel and fined $100,000 straight up. A rival official at the Phoenix Suns joked about offering $11million dollars less for his services and he was fined $10,000. It’s hard to disagree with this stance. Talking about a contracted player in a bid to destabilise him is unethical, immoral and it’s an unprofessional business practice.
If FIFA act, it’ll be in the best interests of football as a whole. It will create better relationships between clubs, it’ll stop rogue agents and Chairman sullying the good name of football and it fits in nicely with UEFA’s aim of bringing football into the real world.
However, when managers like Aragones are picking up £2k fines for racist captured on film, you have to question whether a £100k personal fine for talking about Cesc could ever be a reality.
Now the Barcelona stories have taken a nose dive I think this is a good time to give Cesc a few pointers before the season starts.
1) Cesc, we all still love you as a player and a person. However, you’ve got to come out in a press conference and make us all feel comfortable about you being the captain of our great club.
2) You’ve been played like a British tourist in a Spanish time share office. Barcelona have clearly offered you the world in the full knowledge that the only way they’d be able to nab you was if you blackened your name amongst the fans who’ve given you everything over the last 8 years. You’ve been embarrassed by Sandra Rossel and Laporta. You’ve allowed the older boys in the Spanish camp to treat you like a chump and you’ve come out of the situation with nothing.
Arsenal have respected you all summer and in the main, the fans have given you the benefit of the doubt you didn’t deserve.
3) Barcelona not only made a fool of you, they prioritised David Villa over you. If they wanted you so much, they would have bought the future of Spanish football first, then played hardball with Valencia. They rate a 28 year old striker at £10million more than they rate the best creative midfielder in Europe. That is disgusting in my books. They don’t think you’re worth more than James Milner. Pretty harsh I’d say.
4) If they end up spending £20 million of their £40million transfer budget on Ozil, they won’t have any money left for you next year. Your value will sky rocket again and their financial power will diminish once again. Basically Cesc, I think I’m saying the Barcelona dream is dying. Arsenal will never sell you to a team that doesn’t have the funds. If you really do want to leave Arsenal at the end of next season, Madrid and City will be your only choices.
Be honest Cesc… you know both of those are a bad option.
Spend this season with us, see what Arsene can muster in the transfer market and make a proper decision this time next year. My guess is that we’ll probably be poaching Barca players this time next year because the banks won’t be able to loan them another £140million to pay the wages…
The fact is, unless Barca muster £80million, he isn’t going anywhere.
In other news I had a brief chat with someone in the know over the weekend and the feeling in the Arsenal camp is that a centre back is still the priority. From what I understand, Fabianski will still be at the club this summer but Almunia might leave if given the opportunity. I don’t think there is going to be an opening for Chesney at this point.
Jack Wilshere has impressed in Austria and there is a good chance he’ll be given the opportunity to fight it out for a first team place this year. The belief is that he is ready this year… something I think we’d all welcome in the wake of losing out on Joe Cole.
Kozzer is supposed to be a very able player. His technical ability is excellent, he’s far better aerially than Gallas and his positional sense and ability to play a zonal marking system is also excellent. Apparently, there are high hopes that this boy is going to be the real deal although it is accepted he will need to bulk up.
People have rightly voiced their concerns about him versus Drogba. May I just point out that Lucio is hardly a beast when it comes to weight, but he is a fighter and extremely powerful. Aggression and positional sense more often than not will out do raw power.
I can also confirm that Denilson is not leaving Arsenal at this moment in time. Well, if he is, no one knows about it in Austria. Sorry to be the one to have to tell you that…
The keeper stories keep coming thick and fast. I find it amazing we still haven’t sorted that area and I too am desperate for some action on that front, but talk of David James is more embarrassing than setting up a petition to stop the petitions. He was never good enough for a top flight team when he was young, on an individual level his form for Pompey was shocking last season, he’s far too old and he is just as calamitous as Almunia. I know we’re desperate, but come on, David James?!
Finally, as you know, we always have a successful run at the old Fantasy football. Well, I’m speaking with a respected brand who are looking to sponsor a Le Grove league and for the privilege of doing it they will supply us with three very tasty prizes (Tastier than a crate of Peroni…). All I’m waiting for is for the prizes to be signed off, then we’re good to go!
Almost as exciting as Geoff getting buy in on this podcast malarkey. We’re going content crazy this year!
Right, see you all in the comments section, plenty to talk about!

I dont see why they wouldnt sell to us. They have too many players and would probably welcome selling some of them off.
The Frenchman then revealed there was a desire to bring in players ahead the summer tournament. He went on: “I believe the earlier you settle your team the better it is and the less anxiety you have.”
therefore chamakh and koscielny came in David, two players is a decent number, two more and we’re ok, three more and we’re sorted!
We havent improved A
And by your reckoning….we arent ok.
2 players in is a good number compared to the rest of the teams during this transfer window. HOWEVER! We were in need of 2 just to have a better first team and so far Koscielny has only addressed the issue of defence. We still badly need a better keeper and preferably a new CB too because Koscielny will surely need time to bed in.
Stu/Tom Tom, if could interject here. But why would be interested in Man City rejects? Next we will be swapping league places with them. I despair sometimes i really do..
I didnt know Jan Vertonghen was left footed.
I was being hypothetical SHN. Not that i want any of their players but if they were considering letting someone go i see no reason why we wouldnt be able to buy them, provided the money was right.
You learn something new everyday David.
they have some pretty decent central mids norris.
better ones than denilson and about 50 of them…
If we sign noone else no we aren’t ok David, we’re taking big big risks.
We will sign another couple of players though, so it’s all good
“Ok” to me implies that we have no major concerns, which is clearly not the case when the only thing we have done to fix the defence is get rid of 3 potential starters and bring in 1 who couldnt be less proven (figuratively speaking).
Stu the way I see it we’ve lost one definite starter and two reserves, and gained two potential starters/reserves
I’d like us to get in a definite starter, then imo we’re stronger than we were last year defensively in terms of the squad
potential starters? Silvestre and Senderos? Come off it
Just out of interest who was are the 2 reserves we lost? Eduardo, Senderos, Campbell and perhaps Merida as a reserve.
Either way, we are worse off in terms of position numbers. We got in 1 defender whos role is yet to be decided and i back up CF.
We still need a keeper regardless of what happens with the other positions.
I meant Senderos and Campbell Sixx pac. Potential starters because when Gallas was injured, one of them would be starting in his place. And Gallas usually got injured so we always needed that back up to be available.
I wldnt be suprised if Wenger re-signed Gallas
I was just talking about the defence Stu, Silvestre and Senderos/Campbell, who took up the same space in the squad so only count as one player.
The only player who we’ve lost who would’ve started with others fit was gallas, noone else had any chance.
i agree that were worse numbers wise, we definitely need to sign a cb
i would david – it would only happen if gallas came back with his tail between his legs begging and that isn’t going to happen, he has far too much pride!
I would be David. Very suprised actually. Wage demands too high, rumoured to be a poor influence/ moody prick and too old.
Senderos was nowhere near the team last season. He was behind Silvestre and Song before he went out on loan
Hes experienced and Bags of experience…I think Wenger thinks he’s got 1 more season in him.
Gallas is a real prick tho.
What i dont want is for Utd to sign Ozil. Id be livid.
wenger did think he had one more season david, which is why he was offered a new contract.
he missed the deadline in may without even saying either way, and there hasn’t been any contact since. he’d have to come back, apologise, and pretty much halve his wage demands for the club to consider re-signing him.
If Gallas did re-sign the cunt would probably want 9 this time.
The five year deal is done and Cesc is ready to sign for Barca
Just what do the footballing public in southern Europe think about the issue of Cesc, his contract, and the fact that Barca are nowhere near as financially sound as the world makes out.
We sent out intrepid report Walter Broeckx to Spain, to keep us up to date on how football appears in such foreign lands.
Here’s his report, just in.
Hi Tony,
If you see some strange things in ñy mail just notice I am typing on another keyboard and with all kind of funny things like “ñ” on it in places where I normally have other letters. Hope you can understand.
I managed to get hold of a computer as my son has launched the new Arsenal Benelux website and I had to take a look. The new site looks great but just couldn’t resist to send you a ñail.
Just to inform you a bit about the crazy world I have found myself in. For in Spain this is “Cesc is coming home” this week. ñ!
I am getting out a bit, although unfortunately on the first day I fell asleep in the sun and I look as red as the new home shirt is. But when I do go out I see the tabloids and every one of them has the same headline. In fact you cannot miss it: they are are all talking about Cesc. There’s a bit about Contador the bloke that won the Tour de France, but for most of the newspaper it is Cesc, Cesc and yes Cesc. ñ ñ ñ ñ!!!
If those journalists are paid by the number of times they mention him they are all multi-millionaires.
Yesterday the headline was : The five year contract for Cesc is ready. He will get 7 million euros a year. In fact all that is missing is his signature. And oh yes just the fact that it all depends on the goodwill of some club in North London who already have a 5 year contract with Cesc but who really should understand that if “we” want Cesc to come back home, he should be released by Arsenal. Oh and the moment Arsenal agree with selling Cesc, it will only take Cesc a fez minutes to sign on the dotted line. Because legally and morally he is ours.
¿Offering a 5 year deal to a player who is still under a 5 year deal with another club, isn’t this tapping up¿¿¿¿¿¿ But then again we should keep in mind that this is a tabloid offering Cesc a contract. ¿ñ¿?¿ñ!
Oh and today headline is talking about Barceloanus people flying to London to talk with Arsenal today (yes today, not yesterday ¿ñ¿?¿ñ! to finalize the transfer this week. Now this is something new. This is the sañe thing I heard just last week. So I think we can conclude that this is just another reprinting of the same story each week at the start of the week! ¿ñ¿?¿ñ!
Now I must admit that I don’t speak fluent Spànish or Catalunian but I can read a bit and I can understand it a bit. My wife who knows a bit of the Spanish language confirmed what I just summarized as being in the headline and articles.
¿ñ¿?¿ñ!
Out on the streets, I am wearing an Arsenal cap to prevent ñy brains getting boiled, and in the shop people are urging me to let Cesc come home¿ñ¿?¿ñ! As I am well educated I don’t show them any fingers in certain positions but I tell them to leave our player alone as he has just signed a contract which holds him at Arsenal for another 5 years and that they are behaving in a disgraceful way and are an embarrassment to their club and country and to the letters ñ à and the upside down question mark ¿
And as their English is mostly as bad as my Spanish I leave them with something to think about¿
Well this is it for the moment but I will try to keep an eye on the Spanish crazypapers, (you cannot call them ‘news’papers) and let you know. Now I am staying out of the sun for a few hours on the hottest time of the day I can have a look on the internet and read ñy mails a bit¿
Sorry for the typing errors but I also haven’t got my reading glasses on so it all is getting a bit dark before my eyes for the moñent.
Greetings from your Gooner in Catalunya, in plain English also known as [word edited out in the interests of decency and good taste¿
Just when you think it can’t get any worse…
I don’t know the Kings of Leon but at least one Grover likes them and posts their vids
hopefully not this one…
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-10758730
shat on by pigeons. Thats when you know you suck
Gooner4Life10 … Fedor is not that good with his legs, I’d put CroCop in there, strongest legs and kicks out there
, let Drogba mess with that if he wills
hey sixx where are you, I’m in LA
Ray im in Montego Bay, Jamaica
never been, wife lived there years ago, planning to go next year, getting a month-long air-ticket and island hopping
wish wilshere was two years older/more experienced and ramsey hadn’t been hobbled, the Cesc fiasco wouldn’t be quite so troubling
i really hope we’re not going to be disappointed again this transfer window, can’t believe we don’t have the new GK and CB already settling in
Geoff, Pedro
Have to Salute both of you for continuing the good work in the midst of constant disappointment and lack of ambition.
Its says alot and many thanks to you both for keeping it up.
well David, as Bogart said, we’ll always have Bendtner
If we get a top top class CB , a decent reliable keeper ( Jussi Jaskelainen anyone?? ) and a deep lying playmaker who can play in both the DM role and the third man in midfield role I’d be absolutely chufffed.
A marquee signing like Kaka would be nice though.
The only marquee signing we’re likely to sign is the old music venue, to enable us to redevelop it as affordable accommodation………
These cunts in charge are only paying lip service to the idea of strengthening/competing with the big boys with top class signings.
Out will come the same tired old bollocks about nothing better than what we’ve got, or we tried to sign Kaka for £3.50 and a one day travel card, so that just like Spurs used to do, we can say we at least tried to sign someone!!
I have no doubt Pedro’s source is spot on, we’ve enquired for two top quality players, but knowing this bunch of self serving parasites, they’ve probably embarrassed our club again with some offer that would’ve been a valid one back in 1998!
This lack of ambition is truly astonishing for a supposed top level club, and one who is now one of the richest sporting clubs in the world. It is thoroughly understandable however for a club trying to build up their cash reserves prior to a take over, so that certain INDIVIDUALS can reap the benefits…..
You ask yourselves, why with a club as large as ours is it so fucking hard for someone who’s supposed to be one of the best coaches/managers in the world to attract top class players?
I’ve listened to the info Pedro’s past onto me, various other Gooners with links to the club, and even my own insider, and i’ve come to the conclusion that it’s all bollocks. They are more than likely enquiring for certain top class players, but they are not pursuing them reaslistically and with true ambition to land their ‘targets’. Therefore, my conclusion is that come midnight on the 31st of August, don’t be surprised if yet again at Financial Director has balanced the book once again, gets another pat on the back from the board, and we go into the next season with Chamacktheknife, Koswhothefuck and possibly Sol….
Me, myself, and fucking eye!
Keep the fires burning, keep the fires burning……
Gwen McCrae!
Knock Knock?
Who’s there?
No fucking one!!!
I’m gonna make a cuppa now……..
Except Almunia of course….. and Flabbyanski!
Aaaahhh, that’s better……
keep the faith ddm, this year it will happen, the additions we need to have a competitive squad…and still have enough over for executive bonuses
Fuck Me!
Ray – I will be honest with you fella, i know someone very close to AW, and he’s told me some serious stuff. He’s told me plenty of things in the past that have actually happened, so i’ve no reason to disbelieve him. But, i really believe that this is now a new tactic by the club to look like they are trying to buy quality, when in reality they are truly only concerned with holding onto as much cash as possible….
I’m not alone, i might have a little emotional cry…
Me? I want four signings.
Goalkeeper, not a fucking stopgap.
Centreback, a bit unit.
Central Defensive Midfielder.
Winger, preferably on the right side.
Oh, but wait. We haven’t got the money, we can’t compete for top class players, we HAVE to continue with Project Yoof right?
Fucking Bollocks, that’s what that is. the ONLY two teams who outbid us if we were seriosu about a player is the Chavs and the Northern Chavs……..
who could outbid **
Oh, and by the way, if whoever it was who said yesterday that wobble head is on his way is lying, i will personally rip out his dark heart, and crap is his filthy, lying mouth
You know, if we don’t buy any of those four players i’d like, but we get rid of that dogshit denilson, i will be even happier!
Has everyone gone for a shit then?
I love the smell of napalm in the morning….
Listen, listen, can you hear that??
dennisdamenace – same old story hay.. depressing or what
do you know who i want to see in the the number 9 shirt? wenger would give him the no9 shirt
RAUL! natural goal scorer.. he wants to come to England too
GOALKEEPER – IGOR AKINFEEV
CENTREBACK – NEVEN SUBOTIC
DEFENSIVE MID – FELIPE MELO
MIDFIELDER – MEZUT OZIL (FOR WHEN FAB LEAVES)
WINGER – EDEN HAZARD
3RD RICHEST CLUB IN THE WORLD?
WHY CANT WENGER SEE IT STUBBORN FOOL! FABREGAS IS LEAVING NEXT SUMMER! FACT! SO GET OZIL NOW!!!!!!
That’s the sound of Arsenal FC’s transfer cheque book going back into hibernation for another year….
ARSENAL KNOWS BEST PEOPLE say we are “two singings” away from winning.. fuck off are we!
we had no depth in squad last season! now we have even less depth..
OUT
eduardo
silvestre
gallas
campbell
IN
koshiney
chamack
that to me looks the same if not weaker then last season.. and the fact that we are TWO player FURTHER down! in depth!
Fab4 was always gonna leave, it was just a case of when. However, it’s obvious that he’s decided for himself that enough is enough, and he’s brought his departure two or three years forward. He sees how much money the club makes, listens to all the lame arsed excuses about not finding anyone better than what we have, then he spends the season carrying shite like Denilson…..
I’ve heard Guti is leaving Madrid .. why don’t we grab one of the best through passers in the world .. we can sign him for 1 year .. he can fit well when nasri or fabregas are not available
no problem signing the checks the problem is when the bank bounces them Wenger has had 15M a year budget not enough to challenge 4 the title but he has managed to stay top 4 without using it this year he has 35M but half will have to go on replacing CB,s Gallas & 1 he got 4 nothing which was still over priced Silvestre leaving about 20M less 5m 4 Du Du,s replacements signing on bonus so a GK .Highbury was suppose to make 100M in 5 years but with the economical crash that now will be about 40M in 6.5 leaving us 60M and 18months behind schedule butstill very healthy although cash shy
I don’t blame him one iota for wanting to leave, i blame the Arsenal management totally for this, for showing vitually no ambition in making the most of Fab’s undoubted talents by pairing him with numerous nobodies, who without AW’s continued patronage would slip quietly away and find their true levels like the French league or Birmingham.
I do, however, blame Fab for letting this situation descend into a Bad-Mouthing-Arsenal excercise!
yeh i know he was always leaving
wenger should get ozil because by this time next year fabregas would have gone and he will be looking for a replacement.. ozil will be 50£million by then!
get him for 15million now!
or wait are you gonna replace fabregas with ramsey?
sherif – Is he on a free? After all we wouldn’t want to have to dip into the boards tea ‘n’ biscuits fund would we!!
Damian -Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!
This 2010, not 2005 fella, stop making excuses for him ffs, wake up you lemming! Besides, did Arsene ring you up and tell you those figures……..
When Arsenal was just around the top ten richest sporting institutions in the world around five years ago we were managing our ‘debt’. We are now regularly in the top three, with considerably more spending power.
When people come on here and say we need three/four players, what do you think we’re saying, we need to spend £100m, £150m? Jesus, we make anough spare revenue in ONE year now to buy the three or four quality players we need….
How does this club manage it eh?
They continually boast about how well we’re doing financially, but then plead poverty when it’s time to spend some of that wealth, yet some swallow that!
I suppose they are the same people who believe, ‘your cheque is in the post’, or ‘of course i won’t cum in your mouth’….
Blog Biscuit
dm – after this morning’s rant why do you bother anything Arsenal?
Coz i care, why do you?
Morning Dennis, you know I agree with you.
Hey Geoff, how’s it hanging?
Hanging good thanks mate, I’m looking forward to see how this team shapes up and will he be adding to it before the 5 week deadline is up, I hope if he does, he doesn’t leave it until we are 7 points adrift.
You are right,DDM. Wenker is not going to spend any money on quality players, the greedy senile bastard.
DDM – Fuck this shit, huh! I am NEVER surprised at how frugal Wenger is each summer but this year I had slightly higher hopes of him making the necessary changes but again we find ourselves in this all too familiar situation!! Even if he signs players before the window shuts he has again failed to get the players into the squad in time to let the gel effectively with their new team mates!!
WE’RE KICKING OFF OUR SEASON AGAINST LIVERPOOL AT ANFIELD FOR FUCK SAKE!!
Its the same old story. Will Wenger sign players? Yes. Will they be the players that are needed to turn this time around? Hell fucking no they wont!!
Last summer, in the main, we offloaded Toure & Adebayor and signed Vermaelen. We weren’t good enough to really challenge for a trophy.
This summer we have offloaded Gallas & Eduardo and signed Koscielny. CAN’T ANYONE SEE A PATTERN HERE!?!?
I know it’s highly (never gonna happen) unlikely that AW will give this team the overhaul it needs, and the one Fab4 deserves to play in. You have to ask yourself the bigger question, why?
Everyone who has his own eyes and mind can see that we desperately need a class winger, a class goalkeeper, a top level centre back and also a top class mobile defensive midfielder to enhance and bring oout the best in what we’ve got together with limiting the playing time of those who continually dissapoint….
TAIG,We are good enough to challenge for our fourth place trophy.
Hey Jag, wassup buddy?
I’m gonna refrain from serious ranting until September 1st, but until then i will voice my concerns regardless of what certain lemmings think, and i use the word ‘think’ in it’s loosest possible term……
I’m thinking of buying a red scarf and with some sort of white paint writing the ‘In Arsene We Rust’ motto and taking it on Saturday. Will be fairly innocuous but hopefully the right eyes will see it!!
This is one Happy House this morning lol, You been overdosing on them weetabix again ddm
Agree with the rant regards the board them cunts are up to something very dogy and ive been saying it for a few years, Its all smoke and mirrors at the club at the moment,
Was having a discussion last night that as well as being pretty much on a par with Wenger trophy wise Graham also brought through more kids so does that make he the king of project youth as they won more then Wengers batches ??
The Marquee, now that was a fun place to go.
The only players in the current team, who are good enough to play for us are
Fab,RVP,Vermaelen,Clichy,Sagna,Nasri and Arshavin.
Which means we start every game handicapped.
Careful TAIG & DDM,
You’ll get told to go and support City, and that buying players might bankrupt the club.
Spending no money on players is something to be proud of! Long live Arsene!
I’m alright DDM.Same old window.Hold your breath till that greedy bastard Wenker comes up with his usual crap of how his team has matured by one more year in the last week of August.Thats when you know, that the writing was already on the wall.
lol arsenal board, piss takers for real.
taig – It is proving (at the moment) to be groundhog day part 4, but this time there is a big difference, he has SERIOUS money.
If he fails, for whatever reason, to buy the required level of replacements/reinforcements where does our club go? I believe we’re in for another close-but-no-cigar season which with quality reinforcements would’ve (with hindsight ha ha ha!) made all the difference. And, i believe he will be off, one more year of maximum profits in the bag, a big slap on the back from the board and a parting shot at everyone who made his project fail…….
Gambon,I’ve already been tagged by some here.
you forgot denilson jaguar
chippy – just made a cup of coffee, and managed to smell the coffee!
Just bracing myself for yet more dissapointment from our glorious management team.
chozzer – How old are you fella?
Did you ever see The Jam there?
Diaby as well GM
ddm
I had to give away a ticket for the jam at battersea srtd centre cos I couldn’t go. i never did see them
gambon – i’m sure someone on here earlier was gearing up to hit me with that one! Trouble is i want the best for my club, people sho throw that at you should in all reality be the one looking for another club, a club of limited ambition. If they are satisfied with where we are as a club right now, THEY should fuck off and support the Spudz, or Everton or Villa.
dm – i call this morning’s effort a serious rant but, I agree its best to wait until 1st Sept, for the next one. I also get frustrated and had a mini rant yesterday on this board but yours was of volcanic proportions this am.
DDM,
Yep im hardly surpised tho theyve followed the same script for 4 years, I thought this year would be slightly different mind as the murmours were getting louder last season and what with that pathetic end to the campaign i thought finally there may be the required shake up, Silly me
gm – Shocking!! No excuses!! I blow off in your general direction
I’m old DDM.
Only saw the Undertones at the Marquee, but it was brilliant.
Saw The Jam at the Music Machine though, which was fuckin amazing.
Gman – Thank you fella, we aim to please!
Morning All
& DDM is extra upbeat mood
Gman – In all seruiousness though, the pride, pain and passion i feel for my club just bursts out from time to time, goo, bad or indifferent….
Don’t forget Portsmouth, West Ham, Leeds, Cardiff, ManU, Chelsea, Newcastle, Barcelona, Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
Oh and soon to be us, as we’ll be in the same shit because we are dissing our supporters and failing to get the new ones because we spend and win fuck all!
How’s that!
If Wenger doesnt sign three more players,I would throw rotten eggs at that greedy bastard,in our next game.
Anyway people, let carry this on in the NEW POST!
good **
What they done last year after banking the Toure and Ade money was nigh on fucking criminal that should have been invested straight back into the squad was it Fuck, Not buying a Forward in Jan when we had a decent chance of the league was un forgivable in my book and if someone of here is at the Q+A id love them to ask serious questions,
The problem is that there is no one with the sphericals to stand up to the man. Even these so called hard bitten journos seem to be in awe when faced with him. Why doesn’t someone say “You’ve came out with same spiel for the last 5 years”
As one of the more mature contributors to this blog, it really does make my heart sink when you see the situation we are in when the entire footballing world knows that we only need 3 top class players, GK, CB and midfield nutter to relly have a chance of pushing for that top spot
dm – i do understand but all good things come to those who wait; look at Liverpool they have not won the League since 1991 and they will win it again in 2021.
Joking apart, I am concerned also about the club’s obsession with Project Youth. The problem seems to be they need to give the likes of Wilshere, JET etc playing time. I think we need a class GK and the likes of De Jong (has been mentioned on this board). And will Vela be good enuf?
Sigh!
