Disabled award tainted? / Cesc behaviour doesn’t surprise me as naive defence begins…

by & filed under Uncategorized.

Finally we can start getting excited about the new season starting. I can almost taste the warm Underhill Stella Artois as I write. Sadly this year I am doubtful to be in attendance, but if you do have the chance to fly round the M25 to watch the game, I’d highly recommend it as an excellent day out. It’s kind of like going to an old school friends house who hasn’t done so well since they decided to pursue their dream of playing pan pipes on Britain’s got Talent. It really makes you appreciate the delightful stadium we have at the Grove and the calibre of some of our players.

Last time I went, Eboue told one of my chums that he reads Le Grove everyday and he loves it. A very sweet lie if ever I did hear one!

This years event should be quite exciting. I’m hoping that we’ll have a new goalkeeper to showcase. I’m hoping that we’ll get a dominant performance from Kozzer (Which I am reliably informed sounds like Koza which is Polish for Goat… which is the acronym of ‘greatest of all time’) and we’ll get to check out Moroccan heading sensation, Chamakh.

Mind you, don’t get too carried away with what you see. I’m pretty sure Vermaelen had an aerial nightmare against Barnet last year which didn’t prove to be the case as the season went on.

Rumours are still flying all over the place with regards to Joe Cole, people have been arguing the toss over the odds, asking how reliable Barry Silkman is and debating the quality of the player. I’ve got no idea what’s going on anymore, all I’d say is doubting his quality is foolish and judging him based on 15 minutes in a World Cup is also silly. We want quality players at Arsenal and it’s generally even better if they’re on a free from the not so classy ones on the other side of London.

I wrote this at 0800 last night

I’m not sure what to make of the Cesc comments doing the rounds,

“All I can say is that this (World Cup victory) is for all the Arsenal players and fans, they are a world-class club.
“I am an Arsenal player and proud to be.”

I then had to add this in at 1000 last night

Or is it the above a slimmed down version of this?

“I had a text message of congratulations from Arsene Wenger. He said I deserve it. I just think this is for everyone at Arsenal who helped me get to where I am now. I am really proud to have been an Arsenal player.”

I like the first one better to be honest. Not really a fan of the use of past tense when our Captain is talking about Arsenal. The source is pretty reliable as well, Eurosport aren’t known for telling porkies.

Then had to add this in at 1200 last night

The day got worse. As Spain celebrated winning the world cup in front of the worlds press, Reina walked Cesc to the front of the stage with a loose arm over his shoulder, two players came from round the back and apparently forced a Barca shirt over his head. Here is the video.

It’s a practical joke in poor taste, but my take on this is as followed:

  • ‘Forced’ is an incredibly strong word. Reina is 3 inches taller than Cesc, he weighs 15kg more than him yet he is able to control him with the loosest headlock since my Grandma took up WWF at the age of 86.
  • Would Tony Adams have reacted like that if a few Man United players had tried to put a Spurs shirt over his head back in the day? Or would you have seen a bull in a china shop type reaction? Seriously, just imagine what your own personal reaction would be to something like that? I’m not saying he should have reacted like a cage fighter who’s having a tutu forced on him… I’m saying there could have been a struggle of sorts. Standing there like a lemon isn’t a reaction.
  • Even if Cesc was unaware, feeling incredibly weak and unable to identify a burgundy and blue shirt going over his head, what does it say about the conversations he’s been having this summer with his team mates? It says this story has been on the agenda and he’s been playing along.

I hope we can finally lay to rest the naive mindset that every leak to the press has been without prior knowledge of our Captain. The Barcelona players are despicable, Reina is conniving and the whole process the Spanish put in place to lure players back to the homeland is vulgar beyond belief. However, it is my view that Cesc is not an innocent party in all of this. His behaviour this summer has been deplorable considering his role at the club and allowing your team mates to disrespect you in that way is not captain material.

Though both of his original comments are encouraging. It’s interesting that he waited until now to say something. Wouldn’t you expect our Captain to come out with the above comments like that at the start of the World Cup?

It’s interesting that Man U don’t have a pot to pi*s in, yet none of the vultures are circling their players this summer. No one goes after the Chav players they want to keep. Yet Arsenal have this crap every single year without fail and someone always seems to go. So much for project youth commanding love and loyalty eh?

Anyway, none of this matters if you factor in that Barcelona have a deficit that would make the Greeks blush.  Arsenal’s stern stance on the matter also bodes well.  You’d have to suspect our captain isn’t going anywhere. Though a groveling apology should be heading our way.

Good job too… I just wonder how the faithful will react.

I see that Arsenal’s disabled supporters gave Tommy V the player of the year award. I’m not really sure why Arsenal have singled out disabled people for their own award? Surely they’re fans the same as the rest of us? Couldn’t they just vote in the same poll? Anyway, congrats Tommy V! I wonder if the disabled award was reflective of the Cesc situation? Interesting stuff…

Finally, a big fat congratulations to Nik Bendtner on the birth of his brand new child. I hope the baby didn’t inherit his fathers big head… it could have been painful for the Baroness if you catch my drift. Anyway, good luck, hopefully it’ll inspire him to a fantastic season this year. Did you know his lady friend is worth £400million? Imagine that…

Nik B: ‘Darling, let me get this…’

Baroness: ‘Honestly Nik, you keep your money, go and buy yourself something pretty tomorrow…I’ll take care of this Nando’s bill.”

A footballers salary and you’re still not the bread-winner!

Anyway, plenty to talk about in the comments section today!

I’m off to force my work shirt over my head.

gambon – Thats your problem, just one extreme to the other, little or no reasoning, why does Theo deserve zero credit ?!

How would Torres get loads of assists, what are you going on ?!

  2. zeus

    GM

RVP gets priased here. I love him as much as the next Arsenal guy. That doesn’t mean I’m gonna put on Arsenal tinted glasses and say he is btter than every other striker currently playing the game when clearly he isn’t.

In conversations with my friends that support other teams just to be difficult I defend RVP to the death, but in Arsenal quaters I speak freely.

For the record Shrek is overrated.

  3. Keyser

Zeus – Who exactly said he’s better than every other striker currently playing the game ?!

You came on here and said he’s nowhere near Torres or even in the same league.

  4. zeus

    Keyser

Think you should use another player apart from DB10 to make your point. DB10 scored loads AS WELL AS ASSISSTED LOADS.

To this point RVP has done neither exceptionally well to warrant being held in the top tier of club or world football in my opinion.

  5. zeus

    Keyser

Just making a point that you missed. Substitute every stiker in the world with Torres then. My point is still there.

  6. james

Some people on here are really over the top… Cesc has always said that when he leaves arsenal he only wants to go to Barcelona. Nothing has changed in years on that front.
He couldn’t get that top of quick enough yesterday and then made a big point about talking about Arsenal. He loves the club and fans (I mean proper fans who go to games rather than slag players off on message boards whilst bandying Football Manager style transfers around).

The only people who have been out of order in all of this is Barcelona and their players. Cesc has made one statement and so have Arsenal.

To hear people on here calling him a disgrace is disgusting… take a look at the player he has been for us especially last season where we went close to winning the league until he got injured.

I’ve heard people suggesting he should be booed next season… that is really mental… the guy is one of the only truly world class players at the club and you’re talking about helping him out the door.
Presumably it’s not people who actually go to games that want that reaction though… certainly none of my mates who are season ticket holders will be booing him, and neither will I.

  7. Keyser

zeus – No, you don’t get it, Henry and Bergkamp both played in the same team for a proportion of his career, they had a solid defence and a great midfield.

Bergkamp for Ajax was a great goal scorer back when the Dutch league was still pretty good, when he came over here he had to adjust to a far more physical league and still made it work, the longer he played, the older he got, he retreated deeper and created more for the team.

That doesn’t diminish the impact he had for the team.

It’s like Ronaldo for United 2-3 seasons ago, he wouldn’t have got anywhere without the amount of effort Rooney and Tevez had to put in to afford him the time and space to do pretty much what he wanted.

  8. gambon

    Keyser

Theo completely fucked up vs Barca, of course he deserves no credit cos what he did was appaling, Bendtner set himself up, but the ststs dont show that.

We are a more attacking team than liverpool, we have more midfield runners, more goalscorers, any player at Arsenal will get more assists than if they played for liverpool.

Keyser, you dont come on here to talk about football, you come on here to argue with people who dont say that everyone at Arsenal is the best at what they do in the world.

You think every single player we have is absolutely THE best in the world, and wont here any different. You have such an extreme and unbalanced view that i think you may be mental.

Do you make little gingerbread men of Arsene?

  9. Keyser

Ronaldo’s still a great player, but all great player usually have very good teams around them aswell.

Torres supposedly had a poor World Cup, Villa a good one, but if you look at it, in the 3 games Torres didn’t play, Villa didn’t score, same with Holland.

Van Persie was left isolated and alone up front, tried to do what he could, and because he was there dragging defenders away and creating space for others, Sneidjer ended up scoring five aswell, Robben even managed a headed goal.

  10. zeus

    Keyser

    What are you saying? hehe.
I get what your saying but I disagree with the premise.

I think your trying to say just cuz RVP may be a better assister or contributes more to build up play than actually scoring it doesn’t make him a less effective player.

I say IT DOES. A striker is there to score goals. He doesn’t do that enough. If he excels more at being a playmaking forward he should create more. He doesn’t excel in that department either.

And how long should we give him to acclimatise himself to the PL. He’s been here for 4/5 years now, playing with the smae players for 3-4.

Whats the flip of that, Torres come over and hist the groung running scoring 30 in his debut season playing in a different country, players he couldn’t possibly consider friends (cuz they are bastards and all) and it was nothing to him.

He took top the PL like a fish to water.

  11. Keyser

gambon – If I did, you’d bite the legs and arms off, and abuse them for being disabled.

I come here to talk football, it’s a discussion not an argument, what do you come here for exactly ? It’s a public forum, if you don’t like your posts being questioned, because your pathetic ego can’t take it, then don’t post up shit for people to pick apart.

Turn the analysis over to Liverpool, Torres plays off the last man, because he’s quick enough to get in behind defences, the whole teams set up for him to be as effective as he could possibly be, a defensive set-up that relies on the wide players and Gerrard creating for Torres, if he doesn’t score, then neither do Liverpool.

  12. zeus

    Keyser

Your making the argument too convoluted.

How about you rate the players under diff. categories.

    1. Best in the air
    2. Better finisher
    3. Better assister
    4. Individual skill
    5. Physical durability

  13. Keyser

zeus – I’m saying they both play for different teams with differing styles, saying one isn’t close to the other like there’s no point discussing it is rubbish.

Thing about it, if Rooney’s held up as in the Torres league, was he shit two years ago when he was playing up front nesxt to Ronaldo, or do you consider the sacrifices he made for the team as something that was wholly worthwhile ?!

Van Persie’s a different player to Torres, and Arsenal play in a different style to Liverpool, we all saw how good we Van Persie was starting to look last season, or how many kep goals he scored the year before.

If he scores 30 odd goals next year and does it in the style he’s been playing in for the past couple of years, he’ll be better than those other players, but you’d have to be able to appreciate how difficult it is to achieve that in the first place.

  14. Keyser

zeus – No, I’m discussing it with the merit it deserves, or all you have to do is look at who scores the most goals each season and then rate them baed on those stats alone.

That’d mean Van Nistlerooy was far better than Henry, which is just silly.

  15. zeus

    Keyser

Thats why there is more than one category. Feel free to add more.

You speak about the way Liverpool set up their side to get the best out of Torres, is not The Arsenal set up to get the best out of RVP?

Are you saying that all teams have to play the same way to ‘fairly’ make a judgement on which players are better than others.

  16. Keyser

zeus – Vision, Skill, Technique, Physicality.

You’re right about the ways team set-up and Van Persie was looking very good until he got injured again.

It’d help if all teams played the same way, but they don’t, I’m saying these are all International Class footballers, saying one isn’t near the other is a hollow discussion.

  17. zeus

    Keyser

They are holes in that train of thought. How then is it generally accepted that Messi is the best player on the planet. (Disappointing WC included)

Everyone doesn’t play 4-3-3. No has a midfield like Cunta’s.

What the fuck has Fifa and the frenchboys been doing then choosing Blandor winners and players of the year.

  18. Keyser

zeus – Not really holes, varying interpretations, you look at the stats, the quality of the team and the quality of the footballers oiverall play.

It’s not like it’s infallible, Owen I think’s won European player of the year, yet Henry should have at least had one World footballer of the year title.

  19. zeus

    Keyser

A travesty TH14 never won. But who was he competing with at the time. Zidane, Dinho, Shevchenko……

Wouldn’t say on form he was better than them. Certainly in the running though.

  20. goonermichael

sir drinkalot was asked at a dinner “if you could sign anyone in the world who would it be?” and he answered RVP

  21. Keyser

zeus – It’s just how it works out sometimes, I think there is some sort of bias away from the Premiership, I dunno about Schevchenko, Zidane yeah, and even Ronaldinho was inconsistent in camparison to Henry’s record but he did some absolutely phenomenal things at times.

  22. goonermichael

for years you had to be at a spanish or italian club to win world player of the year ronaldo was the first since owen I think

  23. zeus

    KESYER

Its not really a bias. Its just that the best players just always played OUTSIDE England for such a long time. They looked down on the EPL.

Henry snub was atravesty though. He was brilliant and should’ve won it twice.

  24. dantheman

    Gambon?????

why do you want a player to stay at Arsenal, wear the captains arm band when he DOESN”T WANT TO PLAY FOR US.

its not a case of if but when…

the only thing stopping him is their money issues.

I personally think next season he’ll be gone.

And all this shit about CESC saying “this world cup is for Arsenal” BULLSHIT! of course he’s saying it, because he knows he’s coming back to us, and doesn’t want to be hated.

  25. Keyser

After England got banned from Europe, I think it took English teams quite a while to get back into it contesting.

United were soo dominant in our league, but used to get knocked out quite regularly by teams you would never expect them to nowadsys, and plsu only the top 1/ 2 made it into the Champions League back then.

Even when they won it, they still struggled with it for a while afterwards.

  26. goonermichael

Ronaldhinho was fantastic in Holland but he wouldn’t have won it if he stayed there. A lot of the votes come from Latin countries who whatch Italian and spanish football. Rooney imo wasn’t player of the year last year but he’s English and there is a bias

All in support of the Arsenal. Pics of Cunta’s player acting true to form and such plus Paul the Octopus.

  28. gambon

    Dantheman

Because hes the best playmaker in the world.

I hate that he wants to leave, but we will be more successful in 2010/11 with him than without him.

    wait for it

  29. Nick the Greek Gooner from Ealing

I hate all things Cunta and now i hate all Cuntalonions! They bully us like we are some bitch in prison and they are the Daddy. Why don’t Arsenal say something strong back to them, i know we did a month ago, but this really needs to be put to bed. Anyone for Arshavin to win player of the year this season after the famous second season syndrome??

  30. Nick the Greek Gooner from Ealing

Do boiled sweets go off, as am sucking an anaseed twist that i’m sure i brough back in March and its tasting surprisingly pleasant?

  31. Mayank

    This is England says:
    July 13, 2010 at 18:50
Fans at the Emirates and away fans will not hate Cesc.

I hope that’s the case, otherwise the Barca cunts will be pissing themselves.

  32. zeus

That was the cunts plan all along. Form a wedge between the player and the fans. they were banking on him hating us because we start to display ill feelings towards him due to this whole fiasco.

    Some people fell for it.

  33. Keyser

Ah shit, they had an interview with Ebway aswell like two weeks ago on the show, also Robbie Savage was pretty funny.

  34. zeus

BRIAN!, You let yourself down. You’re not the Messiah, your a very naughty boy.

Brain, your a long way from home, A LONG WAY FROM HOME.

  35. Keyser

Nah, Linekar’s the host, and they had Jurgen Klinsmann as another pundit aswell.

Because nobody knows what Adebayor’s just said, instead of trying to work it out, Linekar just turns around to Klinsmann, and goes ‘Jurgen’ asking him for his opinion.

  36. JJ

Su – I presume that was a typo at the end of the article… “Rosell was told in no uncertain terms that Arsenal were prepared to sanction the sale of their star midfielder.”

  37. JJ

Stu – I presume that was a typo at the end of the article… “Rosell was told in no uncertain terms that Arsenal were prepared to sanction the sale of their star midfielder.”

  38. Queen of suburbia

SSN are reporting that Cesc wore a Barca shirt to celebrate the world cup win. Just like that. No was the victim of a prank, or was forced to.

What a bunch of misreporting wankers.

  39. zeus

    Jurgen…..hehehehehehe

I can’t wait for the new podcast season to start.

‘Gerrard your a cheat and Rooney your a cheat. You were a cheat as a youngster, your a cheat now, and you will forever be a cheat.’

Nothing like an Alan Davies rant.

  40. Cesc

Cesc Fabregas’ father insists nothing should be read into his son donning a Barcelona shirt amid Spain’s World Cup celebrations.

The Arsenal captain made it clear at the end of last season that he would love to return to the Nou Camp, where he started his career before moving to north London in 2003.

The Primera Division champions have since had a £30million bid rejected by the Gunners, but remain keen to re-sign the 23-year-old midfielder.

Barca defenders Carles Puyol and Gerard Pique fanned the flames over a possible move by forcing a Blaugrana jersey on the Arsenal skipper upon the squad’s triumphant return to Madrid from South Africa on Monday.

However, the player’s father has played down the incident and promised his son did not intend to offend Arsenal.

Francesc Fabregas told COM Radio: “It was a day of celebration and anything goes. If anyone misinterprets it, they have to see that it was part of a celebration.

“Cesc has it very clear what Arsenal has been and is for him. He is super grateful to them and it has never crossed his mind to do something wrong towards them.

“Cesc said what he wanted to do (sign for Barca) the day after the end of the league so that Arsenal had time to react.

“It would have been nasty to say it today, when they are almost on the verge of starting the pre-season.

“But he always did so thinking about Arsenal. It remains to be seen how everything turns out.”

  41. zeus

    Cesc

Of course thats what he said to Wenger. Cesc needs to tell one and all to shut the hell up now. everyone is speaking on his behalf and its starting to leave that Adebayor taste in the mouth.

Yeah, you didn’t say shit, but you made the cunts around do alot of the talking. Even if you don’t want to say anything cuz you want to be on great terms with both clubs someone as close as your father shouldn’t be talking shit.

  42. zeus

So apparently she ask him “Who would you like to thank for their support?” and he answers to my father, my brother and he wants to say “to you too” because she is his girlfriend, but since he starts to sob, she tries to change the subject but he says, no I want to thank you, and kisses her.

Is it okay to wish that he goes home into their bedroom and find her getting off on a gangbang, or would my hatred of them have gone too far?

  43. zeus

    Oh okay Cedar.

Where to draw the line. Its pretty blurred for me at this point. Henry14 was sais he wished Pique broke both legs.

  44. gambon

Rosell; “Mr Wenger, nice to meet you, can we talk about Cesc”

Wenger; “Fuck of Sandra you shit cunt”.

Rosell; “We have french african kids we are prepared to swap”

    Wenger; “Im listening!”…

  45. Stu

You should have ended that half way through Gambon. The Sandra part was hillarious, the other part has already been played to death.

  46. Chippy

If it’s true he did ask to go the day after the Fulham game like one or two people reported but were then shot down it makes you wonder about the list of players he was told we were trying to sign or the fact Wenger couldn’t give him names, As the same people reported that was what happened in that meeting !

Fuck the catalans hope the Spanish goverment renames you pikeycuntville and orders a decree that only same sex marriage takes place you no good cunt buckets.

  47. Pierre

Sky sports banging on about us making yet another bid for Swartzer, must be some truth in it, Swartzer says he wants chance to play in Champions League. We want him, he wants us, surely it will happen. Afterall, signing an aincient Fulham keeper didn’t do Manure any harm did it?

  48. Stu

While i agree signing a fulham keeper did united no harm its not nearly the same imo. VDS has been at Juve and Ajax before dropping down to Fulham. Schwarzer is older now that when VDS left for united and has played for Boro and Bradford.

  49. Honest Bill

Stu.. But will he be better than we currnetly have? Could he be much worse i think is the real quaestion

  50. Chippy

I’m sure his signing will go a long way to easing cescs fears that we are on the cusp of challenging for everything :)

  51. Stu

Well if thats the question then the answer is no Bill. But the suggestion that because united signed an old fulham keeper over 35 and they won loads of trophies, that we will be the same is off imo. Thats all. Moving on.

  52. Honest Bill

haha yeah that is definitely off, but i don’t think anyone really believed that the two situations had that much correlation

  53. zeus

Thats the problem though aint it. Player X would be a massive improvement over one of our lot. That doesn’t say much given that I can safely say we have two of the worst GKs in Europe. Fact. (Normally, Fact, is just shit when used on here, but I think its credible)

So being better than them is not much of a stretch when the bar is set so low to begin with.

  54. Honest Bill

Zeus. Agreed that they are both pretty poor, but improvement is improvement, and moving to a bigger club can often invigorate a player’s confidence. By all accounts Shwarzer is a decent keeper, so we are better placed to win no?

(Assuming that it isn’t all bollocks anyway)

  55. incesc

    yeh

a wanky old keeper, never done it at the top end of football is coming in to replace 2 of the worst keepers to play in the premier league.

His getting so old he can probably only play for 1 or 2 more years in the premier league.

    exciting times.

  56. Pierre

the Manure comparison was an off the cuff remark, the point I want to make is we need to get on with signing a keeper, be it Swartzer or whoever, and do it quick.

  57. Stu

I hope you’re right about the link between the two not really being believed Bill but who knows.

Pierre, i wasnt singling you out specifically. I’ve read dozens of comments on here and elsewhere saying that Manure signed an aged keeper from Fulham and look what it won them – ergo fulham keepers win you the trophys.

  58. incesc

    yay

our captain and best player wants to leave as he cant achieve succes here.

we lose 4 defenders who have all been internationals, and are bringing in a complete unknown quantity from the french leagues.

    exciting times

    this summer sucks as usual

  59. JJ

I wonder how TH14 feels about his club and colleagues tapping up the captain of the team he loves most…

I also wonder whether Cesc would still play well (for us) if his father is taken out by a sniper…

  60. incesc

    even better

wenger is talking up eduardo and saying we have enough in our shit midfield, even tho the whole world saw it get completely out fought by everton at the grove last season.

  61. Pierre

My favourite keeper rumor was we were going to sign Portugals Eduardo for £4m, unfortunately that one didn’t work out.

  62. zeus

Honestly, the keeper situation should never have come to this. It was far and away our weakest position last season. That position should of been dealt with first.

Its a farce to hear Almunia say he is not worried about his position. Madness.

At the very least we should go from shit to good. Not shit to decent.

  63. Stu

Thats an interesting question JJ, one i hadnt even considered throughout all of this shit.

As for your second question – theres only one way to know. ;)

  64. Chippy

    InCesc,
My thoughts exactly what a statement of intent! a journeyman keeper that’s never played for a top club and was let go on a free by boro, hardly fucking dino zoff re incarnated is it :)

Where is the Ambition at Arsenal maybe it’s hidden in the diamond club ;)

  65. Stu

I remember when those cunts stole the CL from us after the final something happened with Henry and he said something about Puyol. I had hoped that it would put him off joining them but all that happened was he stayed here for another season on more money, was injured half the season and eventually left.

  66. incesc

the champions league is one of two trophies wenger targets in the season.

The team that knocked us out with ease have bought one of the best forwards in the world and are trying to buy our best player.

we are after scharzer and have bought 2 unproven players from the french league

cant believe we arent doing more to bridge the gap, and that we thought we might go for it this summer.

    again

  67. Honest Bill

incesc. Fair point, but i son’t see that we’re far off in terms of quality players. We are just miles off psychologically. We all wanted fighters, and by all accounts we just landed a couple, so it is better than nothing no?

  68. incesc

we need to add some top quality honest bill.

and to clear out some of the crap. im glad silvestre is gone but we need a top experienced defender as soon as possible really and a top midfielder to replace denilson.

Why are evertons midfield stronger and more committed than ours?

  69. JJ

Not sure I agree. TH14 has been known to advise people trying to leave Arsenal. Why should Cesc be any different?

On Shwartzer, I hope people aren’t only rating him from the WC. Aus played a high line with a back 4 all over 30 and zero midfield protection in front of that. Can you say “sitting duck”?

He didn’t do so badly with Fulham’s defense in front of him.

  70. Stu

And we play a deep back line with all defensive midfielders JJ?

Ok so our defence isnt half as bad as Australias but we still play a high line and apart from Song we dont have many overly defensive minded midfielders do we.

  71. Big Dave

Relations between us and Barca are so far apart now, much more then ever before due to their arrogant attitude and the way their directors have behaved, Arsenal will not do business with them in anyway shape or form. If they would had kept their mouths shut then maybe cesc would had got the move, but that is all dead in the water now.

Their players speak, the directors speak and this is a club that are in so much financial shit they are on par with Man u. Arsenal should had pulled them up and gone to euafa and complained, cause they have acted disgusting.

We may not be on par with Barca trohpy wise but at least our club know how to act when dealing with transfers, Barca are whores, who can’t even pay a players wages like Messi FFS.

So a BIG Fuck you to Barca, go and suck someone else cock, oh and Reina we will NEVER forget what you did to our captain with that prank and words and when you come to Arsenal I for one will make sure you hear my words to you, you cunt

  72. Keyser

Choy – It might even help him, he spent 5 moths out then had a bit of training with us a few games, then off to the World Cup, barely got a pass all tournament but looked ok, then another rest and he’ll be back for training.

    Lot’s of breaks there.

  73. Keyser

Dude, people like Van Persie ? Come on if we’re being serius he had a pretty good season the year before, scored 20 odd goals and appeared in about 40 games, last year wasn’t really a muscle injury it was because of Chiellini’s challenge.

  74. zeus

RvP scored only 20 goals 2 seasons ago. Pre season or rest? Couldn’t care less, I’m not holding my breath that he has an injury free season.

His luck or lack thereof on the injury front is expected to continue. Just ask Paul the Octopus.

  75. Stu

Why do we want Cole again? Or do we? Another short, creative attacking midfielder. Dont we have enough of those already? Its defensive signings we need.

  76. km

    Re. RvP / TOrres

I’d go for Torres.the guy is deadly and makes RvP look like a grandad ; we dnt need a creator upfront,we need a goalmachine

  77. JJ

Stu – At least our defenders have the pace to recover, given our high line. We just can’t defend a long ball to save our lives…

  78. Marko

The guy’s class and it’s irrelevant I think they finished in the Europa spots but I’m sure he done well he looked good in the decent Champions League run they had.

  79. Big Dave

Am sure you will hear some quotes from AW at Barnet and he may even mention about Cole, but my understanding is that we don’t want him, have heard that from the start and nothing has changed so I believe. We may have flurted with him a tiny bit, but what he wants wage package wise I don’t think he will get from any club

  80. Queen of Suburbia

Inler is good, Frey is average the Octopus just lucky.

I’m happy with Schwarzer, i think he’s a good keeper and especially good at dealing with crosses. Thats 6 points he’s worth to us right there.

I’d love Schweinsteger personally, a top top player who would be great alongside Song in a 4231.

Another Centreback to push for one of the two slots and i’m happy.

  81. Keyser

Bayern wouldn’t let him go, they’ve got no reason to really, they’ve got a very good team coming together and they are an absolutely massive club in Germany.

    Ribery – Schweinsteiger – Robben

    Pretty decent that.

  82. el tel

I reckon we will sign a total surprise, I have no sources its just a dreamy guess, here goes.

Stevie G to us or Real Madrid. He chooses us then thats the marquee signing, if he chooses Madrid we get Kaka instead. We get Stevie G we also get JC if we get Kaka we keep him and Cesc.

This email is total fiction but how about this line up.

    Schwarzer
    Sagna
    Gibbs
    TV
    New CB

    Cesc
    Kaka
    Song or Melo

    RVP
    AA23
    Chamack

    or

    Shcwarzer
    Sagna
    TV
    New CB
    Gibbs

    Stevie G
    JC
    Song

    RVP
    Chamack
    AA23

  83. el tel

Clichy for Melo as TV can also play LB as he supposedly did for Ajax.

Kaka or Stevie G depending if Maureen prefers to keep Kaka or wants the Scouse scally.

JC to come if his mate SG signs but Cesc to stay if Kaka signs.

This is a dream only yet it could become reality for Man Shitty
