Arsenal new boy to be given a starring role on Wednesday?

by & filed under Uncategorized.

It seems to me that if Fabio and his team of prima donnas want to progress in this tournament, then he’ll have to unwrap Arsenal playmaker Joe Cole, the England team were hopeless against the mighty Algerians and to see Wayne trailer trash Rooney complaining at the fans was laughable. Then to see that twit William talking to Beckham and laughing at the angry fan really made my blood boil.

Beckham needs to move on, he’s had his day, he reminds me of Elizabeth Taylor, glammed up when she’s 50 years past it. William was there with his often pissed brother, having another free lunch, supporting England, yet a couple of months ago, that same twat was supporting the Welsh, what a scumbag.

And all three of them were recanting the story of the angry fan, the thing is, none of them have done a stroke in their lives and have no idea what it’s like to put your hand in your pocket and buy a ticket, I will bet everything I have that none one of those ponces paid for a ticket, their airfare or their accommodation. And I bet none of them has ever bought a round.

Freeloaders all three of them. And those boys are turning out just like their out of touch with reality parents, Beckham is just after a knighthood, what a laugh that is, a knighthood for winning nothing for his country.

ONLY IN GREAT BRITAIN EH!

Moving swiftly on, at least our English players won’t pick up any injuries, unless of course he plays Joe Cole, and if he is indeed an Arsenal player!

Song is another one on his way home, surprise that, Cameroon being one of those fancied to go through, good news there is, Bendtner scored a goal, maybe Real will come in with a big offer, if we sold him and Cesc, we could finally pay off our debt, then get into proper debt like everyone else!

Rumours have resurfaced we are after Vertonghen, Vermaelen’s old centre back partner from Ajax, to be honest, I’d prefer him to an unproven French Pole from a team that finished 7th.

What is clear though, apart from Ozil, no-one else’s price would have gone up at this world cup, get in there and get Hazard Arsene, nobody’s been after him.

Have a great day Grovers, today is fathers day, if you still have one, go and tell him you love him, if you are one, milk it, it only happens once a year, who knows, they may even buy you a pint!

Even so zeus, you cant blame him for reacting to cheating and thuggery. Its not always so easy to be the bigger man and just take the abuse.

  2. Doo Woop

Ivory Coast did like the argentineans… cheating, trying to wrong the ref with lies…

    what a bunch of scumbags

    this is not football

  3. Doo Woop

Football won today. Now lets hope those scumbags lose, and maybe some north korean can break the leg of some of those pricks

  4. IvoryGoonz

Doo Woop; stop your rage. Brazil cheated as much. Elano’s injury is incident, he’s the one going to tackle. Kaka’s red clearly not a card. But the way Kaka get the Ivorian player a card by falling like a leaf before that is more than disgraceful. and they did it all game. And the 2 handballs?
And to who do you say “STFU next time, motherfucker”? The only time I see you writing on this blog is to just unleash insults. Anything creative and imaginative to say?

  5. Doo Woop

    hahahahahahahahaha
    brazil cheated as much?????

    hahahahaahahahahahahah

my creative thing to say: go home, let football be football, go pratice the thuggery at home, or at the olympics, in wrestling

  6. zeus

    Doo Woop

Hahahahahahaha. Spain (Cunts) will do the Brazilian (Cunts) in the RO16.

    Fact.

You played with training cones today.

  7. Doo Woop

Argentina shouldnt even be playing the world cup, after the amateurish qualifying

But its ok they will be proven delusional soon…

Unless you expect their flour sniffer coach of them to put some tactics in place…

  8. zeus

    Doo Woop

As a Brazilian I point your attention to 02. Brazil BARELY qualified and ended up winning it. At least try to hide your bias a little.

  9. Doo Woop

But I can root to Netherlands if RVP promises not to get something broken, may they go far in the WC

  10. IvoryGoonz

Stu: it was not his ball until he put his foot in the course of the Ivorian player to claim it. There was no way he could avoid him then. The second harsh tackle after that I agree was insisting and late. Anyway.
Doo woop: interesting, really interesting any time I read your comments… Can you develop? Still waiting for a sentence, you know?

  11. gambon

Gervinho would be so much better than Walcott on the right for us!

Then again so would Ribery, Hazard, Robben, Ozil, Affellay, Pienaar, Remy, one of them little slices of processed cheese.

  12. Doo Woop

yeah, IvoryGoonz, maybe I should go and do like your players today: start distributing kicks in shins of everyone

  13. Doo Woop

Somehow I had some hope that AW could buy Ozil… But for that to happen NL needs to be eliminated in next game with 3 own goals of Ozil, so his price tag can match AW delusions…

I would gve anything for a goalie… Hell, I would let cesc go for a keeper.

It hurts so much to know that our #1 is still Clown.. It hurts almost as much as Elano’s leg after the game today

  14. Stu

Of course he could have avoided it IvoryGoonz. The IC player has his studs showing and planted his foot in Elanos leg AFTER he won the ball. It would have been fair and accidental is his didnt have his studs showing. It looked malicous imo.

  15. Doo Woop

France is really amazing this year

players suck, staff suck, coach then sucks like a sucker sucks

and now their referee too, sucking like crazy

    I’m happy Nasri isnt there

  16. IvoryGoonz

    Naught to do with it:
with an iPhone, is there a way to go to the last comments without having to scroll down every time?

  17. Doo Woop

Argentina is used to lose to Brazil. It will be just as usual.

Just like we did last time in Rosario, when we sheeshed their tiny little hopes

  18. Doo Woop

Elano is not the only problem.

Kaka needed to play in next game, as he is coming back from medical dept

But now because of some anti football pricks, he cant

  19. nigerian gunner

    ivorygoonz,
in as much i was putting on an ivory coast jersey with eboues name on it while the game was on rooting all the way for I C.i wont and will never support football being played like they did in the second half of that game….that is what we complain about here anytime we get played that way…that was more than physical and keita was a cheat for holding his head while the claimed elbow hit his chest…if they had played good football, maybe they would have done better.

  20. Stu

Kaka doesnt need a rest. He barely played 30 games this past season. He needs the game time to find his form again.

Its not like Brazil have anyone in reserve to replace him.

  21. zeus

Which was the problem to begin with Stu.

But seeing as he got a yellow today do you risk him in a useless game where he could pick up another yellow and miss the RO16. NO you don’t.

  22. gazgooner

Is it just me or is this THE most boring WC in history. Can’t get excited about any part of it. England are worse than shite, the Aussies are past it and how can anyone get a hard on over the kiwis getting two draws…think I’ll snuck off back to bed and dream of August. Maybe when I wake up the real football will have started again…..

  23. Ja_Gunner

Zeus I dont why you scorn cheating…yet you support maradona?

That seems hypocritical ..no matter how great a player he was fact remains he cheated to win the one world cup that he won…

Also I dont think you should support Argentina so passionately when probably if you go there you may get scorned….not sure but I heard that they very xenophobic and somewhat racist….

I know everywhere has problems but atleast Brazil is more multicultural and is more of a melting pot….

I even support Holland before Argentina….another place that seems very open minded

  24. gazgooner

OK OK I’m biased, I admit. But the standard of referring is abysmal….both Cahill and Kewell given reds for actions that wouldnt’ warrant even yellows in real football….yawn….I wonder if Doc Martin is on tonight. Maybe I’ll sink the depths of dispair and watch AFL :( ( Nah, life could never get that bad – could it?

  25. Ja_Gunner

Stu ..what do you expect when everyone watched as Mourinho sucked the life out of all the games Inter played in the CL..

all teams will watch this example and try to emulate it…Defending in numbers and then counterattacking is also the best way bridge the gap in quality between two teams..

The only way to stop it to make some rule changes that awards goal scoring…and also make some rules about having only a certain amount of player

  26. Ja_Gunner

Stu ..what do you expect when everyone watched as Mourinho sucked the life out of all the games Inter played in the CL..

The only way to stop it to make some rule changes that awards goal scoring…and also make some rules about having only a certain amount of players in your half/penalty box…

Mourinho and others have made negative football popular

  27. Stu

In fairness Gaz, Kewells was a definate red. He stopped a clear goal with his hand. Cahills though should have been just a yellow.

I agree somewhat Ja. But i dont think Mourinho should take the full blame. This “tactic” has been around for years, its just Mourinho that brought it to the big stage by deploying it on the grand scale of the CL. Made all the worse by the fact that Inter are a massive club and should have to resort to “parking the bus”, a phrase Mourinho himself coined after SPurs got a 0-0 draw against chelsea.

  28. Stu

Having a certain amount of players in the oppo half might be the way forward. Its done in indoor football where 1 player has to stay in the oppo half to avoid teams just packing their own half to stop goals.

I would suggest an adaptation of Wengers idea. Rather than have points for goals there should be something like a bonus point for scoring a certain amount of goals. Like they have in rugby. But then again, this would probably only benefit the bigger teams who have the firepower to score the goals necessary.

  29. Ja_Gunner

Ok Stu that may benefit the teams with fire power…

So maybe the thing about having a certain number of players in in the opponents half might work….

Say 2 for example so at most only 8 players can be back defending at any given time….

  30. gambon

    Stu

Defence is part of the game, you cant throw your toys out of the pram and complain when teams figure out how to defend well.

  31. Paulinho

Just thinking, Mexico had the world cup in 1970 and again 16 years later. Wonder why that was?

Would be like the USA getting the world cup again this summer.

  32. Stu

    Whos throwing toys Gambon?

And i dont think 11 men behind the ball qualifies as defending well. Its defending in numbers.

  33. Ja_Gunner

Gambon cmon…games evolve and rules/laws evolve as well…….

The game does not necesarily have to stay the same forever…also…..if there is a outcry about games being boring etc…obviously FIFA have to do something about it at some point…if the cries get louder…

But if most ppl are ok with how the sport is..then there is no reason to change it….

  34. Stu

    Right Gambon, sorry.

I agree though. There is nothing Fifa can do. If you need a certain amount of players in the oppo half then everyone will complain that their defensive game is being restricted.

  35. Paulinho

What I like about Mourinho teams is that they play in extremes. When they go for it, they go for it. When they have gotten what they want, they defend. They don’t flaff about being caught between strategies.

That’s why I respected Inter even when they ‘parked the aeroplane’ at the Nou Camp. Because they attacked Barca at the San Siro and were capable of getting what they wanted. So they earned the right to play catenaccio.

  36. ethangunner

well it looks like the rumor mill is grinding out some more player links ..

including strikers .. which makes you think a replacement for DUDU …

i think wenger will keep vela , unless vela is doing the home sick thing ..

he has hardly given him that many chances ..
wasnt it like 3 or 5 starts this season ..
i can hardly see wenger getting rid of vela after investing 3 years trying to get the cunt here .

only to underplay him for 2 seasons then fuck him off ..

  37. ethangunner

it wont make that much sense to me if he does leave !
however for the past 6 years very little of the decision making at Arsenal has made sense .

senderos gone – merida – ade from last season .
    fish face – gallas – cesc – sol …

seems like another fucking walk out if you ask me ..

the way i see it wenger still needs 6 players just to break even ! and thats without the goal keeper issue !

  38. ethangunner

    merida – gallas – cesc – sol …
get rid of that much quality and keep diaby song denilson eboue etc…. fuck we are doomed !

  39. zeus

    JA

Just read your comment. Maradona’s ‘hand of god’ act was cheating, but no matter what you say the goal he scored after was the greatest world cup goal ever. He single handedly won that WC and deserves respect for that.

You can’t still rate TH14 as a legend after his handball action and say stuff about Maradona.

As for my support, I couldn’t care less whether they are xenophobic or racist. Its all about the football. Arguments like that just poisons easy going conversations that have nothing to do with race. Plus I don’t think ANY black persons live in Argentina so of course it would be weird if I went there.

Plus to my mind, there is a significant black demographic in Brazil and yet there has never been a black president or any high ranking member of state. So racism exists there even more so than Argentina.
That I have heard from speaking to actual Brazilians.

  40. Ja_Gunner

    Zeus,

Yeah I still rate Henry as a legend because I am slightly biased…

But there has been some retribution… in that France are imploding and probably wont get anything from the world cup….

Yes Maradona did score a brilliant goal but the fact remains he cheated and went on to win the world cup…

  41. ethangunner

look atr shevchenko .. was an AC legend ..
then came to the UK old and used , couldnt adapt ..

TH14 clicked with Arsenal probably could do so again .

i think TH14 and shev’s proves that you take a LEGEND out and put hims somewhere else , he wont necessarily be a legend anywhere else ..

    anelka with REAL
    petit, PV04 .. TH14 soon to be cesc :)

i think the moral of the story is if it aint broke , dont risk it all on a move for money .. :)

  42. ethangunner

providing TH14 takes a huge cut i would have him back .
he probably still has a year or 2 left at this level , and probably would be a player who could rekindle his form too !

most players only need the opportunity and the regular games .sol did really well .. and he is even older .

this club could do with someone who kicks straight :)

  43. ethangunner

wow just put a ad in craigs list and when you authorize the post they make you type in 2 words !

and i shit you not those 2 words were …

    TOTTENHAM IS …

i really wanted to write in 3 words , the last one being SHIT !

  44. ethangunner

Maradonna was a fat cheating druged up sack of shit !
i think he would be the last person in the world
able to comment on OTHERS STATUS !

ronald macdonald could coach Argentina ..
its not like they dont have the TOP CLASS PLAYERS in the squad..

maradrugie is just a Token Muppet …

  46. ethangunner

    AA23 you wank tank

READ THEO”S PROFILE YOU FUCK BAG !

read the LITTLE WINGERS PROFILE ..

and see where he MAY PLAY NEXT SEASON on A.COM !

  47. ethangunner

Hi im one of A’s 3 blind mice ..

only been trying to catch ethan out for 3 years now !

    keep trying cuntys !

  48. Rohan

Theo’s been played all this season on the right side of a 433 as a forward, the exact same position he scored his hattrick against Croatia from. FACT!
That’s all you’ll hear from me on that.

  49. ethangunner

Suddenly, the little winger was having a big say in matches.

A dislocated shoulder stopped Theo in his tracks last November and he spent four months on the sidelines. But he returned to score a vital goal against Villarreal in the Champions League and broke the deadlock in the FA Cup Semi-Final against Chelsea at Wembley.

This season we could see Theo in a different role – as a striker.

    DIFFERENT ROLE !!!
    as what ????

    hmmmmm

    you fucking numptys !

  50. ethangunner

THEO IS ZONED ON THE RIGHT WING .. i cannot see any other numpty covering it whilst he is on the pitch ..

  51. ethangunner

who has played behind theo then ??? in the midfield ?

yes thats right NO CUNT ! sagna then THEO .. then nik b usually ..

  52. gnarleygeorge9

    Rohan

Says a lot about how far the A-League has come in 6 years  Smeltz. Obviously we are getting things right, & we’ve given the kiwis a leg up @ the same time.

  53. ethangunner

    rohan

theo has been injured from november – to april .

what games did you see ?????

    please enlighten me ?!

  54. ethangunner

rohan wont even tell you GG …

but he is working in DUBI ..

UAE … or some such ..

    so i guess he’s a towel head :)

  55. ethangunner

….and certainly NOT in the world cup !

people come on here and go Englands shit .. AU is shit .

but when you ask them who’s there team

    SILENCE …

    fucking golden :)

    and you know what both
AU – and England are still in it !

once you make it to final 16 all bets are off ..
but i do feel both teams should of done better ..

mind you so should of france .. and others … IC..

  56. ethangunner

theo is not on the front line (STRIKER )RIGHT SIDE
or the cunt wouldnt have to run 40 yards to get into the box !!

    pure genius..
FUNNY .. that all you twats will jump on A’s back !

its a fuckin right laugh !

all this from a man WHO TOLD ME WE WOULD NEVER SIGN chamakh ! it was a pure media fabrication and i was stupid to believe EVERYTHING I READ !

    hahaha,

TOLD ME CESC wont leave there is no proof ! HAHAHA!

we wont sign Joe cole ..

we dont want to sign Shay Given ..

yes back him if you must :)

  57. gnarleygeorge9

    ethan

Yep, I wouldn’t mind if England did well, being of English stock myself, but as this WC unravels the noble goings on involving John Terry a couple of months ago may come home to haunt Pommyland.

  58. gnarleygeorge9

    ethan

    Dubai?

You know why camels are called ships of the desert. Coz they are full of arab seamen

  59. ethangunner

personally GG, i agree with you ..

not big on most of the personnel in the squads ..from .. MILF banger JT
and lumps , gerrard ,shrek ,A cole .. should be A hole :)

even harry kewl and schwazer should F – off ..

but id rather see any of them T2 WIN, over that coke snorting fairy ..free riding a world cup victory !

or listen to the predictable .. PLASTIC NO TEAM fan ..back a winner ‘ THE DUTCH ‘ and gloat fan ..

    ho hum …

  60. Rohan

gnarley and ethan, I am Indian ( jibe me all you want, god knows we prolly deserve it )..I live in Abu Dhabi in the UAE and have just finished high school. Will be going on to uni in California this fall.
As for me supporting the Oranje, I’ve supported them since I was 6 which prolly stems from me growing up in Rotterdam from the ages of 6-9…

  61. Rohan

lol ethan, turkey isn’t in africa…it’s in europe or perhaps asia if you argued it…
Also fiy, the odds on the Dutch winning are longer than that on the English winning. So your stating that my being a plastic no team fan back a winner etc etc are a bit redundant don’t you think.

  62. Rohan

I didn’t know that your country had to be in the world cup for yer opinion to be counted. Silly me……

  63. Rohan

“You know why camels are called ships of the desert. Coz they are full of arab seamen ”

hahaha, that’s fucking quality. I just texted it to all me mates…

  64. gnarleygeorge9

Good call Rohan. I guess the word Zimbabwe doesn’t ring a recent bell does it :) like with one day cricket maybe.

  65. Rohan

I stopped watching cricket when I found out that i hated every single fucking member of the indian cricket team except tendulkar. They’re such a bunch of egotistical cunts.
I used to like the Aussies when they had Warne, McGrath et al…..

  66. ethangunner

the dutch and argies were pre – comp favorites on form .
& still are … FACT … as against your theo FACTS :)

    no supprises there

    oh unless your a ..
17 year old UAE school leaver. :)

so your Muslim then rohan ?

  67. Rohan

Nope, ethan. I’m technically Hindu by birth but not very religious. Still haven’t figured that part out..Aethist maybe???
school leaver?? Nope, mate graduated as valedictorian. :D

  68. ethangunner

Nope, mate graduated as valedictorian. :D
    ————————————-
well you’ve been a bit less than a valedictorian on LE GROVE

    :)

  69. ethangunner

Sycophancy means: False accusation; calumniation; talebearing.

If you read the bottom of theo’s profile it does mention he will be tried as a striker Next season ..

id like to see it happen

its only taken 4 years for wenger to work it out , that he will get better productivity from theo playing him in the right position !

you dont need to be Sherlock Holmes to work that out.

  70. ethangunner

if your not seeing theo accept the ball on the right flank and then run the length of it .. i cant help you any more :)

you all need prescription glasses .

if he started arm in arm with nik NIK BEING IN THE MIDDLE ? RVP on the right ? or AA23 ?

anyway some perspective here please , we barely played the same line up twice ..

and theo had 15 starts in all comps ALL SEASON !

  71. Rohan

We play a 433 with a 3 in attack namely
Theo/NikB on the right RvP in the center and Arsh on the left. This season he has NEVEZR played as a pure winger on the right side of midfield but more as a right forward with the licence to cut in. The beauty of the 433 is that it allows us to pack the midfield with 3 men instead of 2 while still giving us flexibility going forward.

  72. ethangunner

or getting fed the ball from nasri or eboue on the right ..

in an advanced position, id say sure fine ..

if theo is in front of the person ZONING the right wing

and my initial picture of a 1-2-3-4 is the closest .

nik on the tip of the spear ..

    AA23 comes in on the left at no.2 diaby /nasri / theo no.3 .. ( or an attacking mid R/L) AM R – AM L

the rosicky – song – cesc in the center

then the back 4 …. with the 2 wing backs pushing up to cover ….

even then it changed so much you cant really tell what wenger settled on as a PERMANENT formation .

it will all be subject again anyhow to who leaves and who stays ..

  73. ethangunner

    thought i smelt something ;)

well my final word on A’s stupidity is if he thinks theo running 40 meters just to get into a position to score qualifies him as playing in the natural ‘strikers role’ on the right , then your gullible enough to believe anything ..

also other than sagna who is on the right then ?

    ….

    :)

tucked in and put to bed ..

    im BACK not talking to A anymore ! :) :) :)

i dont want to be embroiled in this pathetic nit picky banter … talk REAL football ..

  74. MickyDidIt89

Since he was a topic of yesterday’s post, I for one, am going to spring to the defence of Prince Harry. I don’t know anyone who would choose to be born into that weird shit family where you can’t fart without being slammed by the lefty, chippy gutter press. How can he lead a normal life. Crucified for being normal (young bloke getting pissed occasionally) or nailed if he were aloof and snotty.
Regarded as an exceedingly good soldier, who was desparate to fight on the front line, and who could have had an outstanding career serving his country were he allowed. Oh, and he does by rounds!!
Sorry, have to stand up for what you think.
Onto football, it would be interesting to have a post on exactly how difficult it is to be a football manager. Capello and Swen!!! Top jobs and I wouldn’t mind betting half of Grovers are more tactically astute. Which makes me think the outstanding qualities are as leaders and motivators.

  75. gnarleygeorge9

John Terry is in danger of being left isolated in England’s World Cup squad following reports of a rift surrounding his explosive press conference on Sunday.

Capello’s tradition of naming his starting line-up just two hours before kick-off and boredom at their training camp in Rustenberg were believed to be the main issues.

However, Terry’s forthright opinions are reported to have upset other members of the squad after he went public with the fact that a group of leading players had met privately to discuss what went wrong in Friday’s goalless draw with Algeria.

The Chelsea captain is reported to have been told by players and officials not to challenge Capello at Sunday’s team meeting and he could now find himself isolated in the squad.

If England fail to impress, you all know who to point the finger @.

Anyway, I wish question of who The Arsenal are going to sign would get back onto the spec pages. I’m about over this WC.

  76. IvoryGoonz

    @Nigerian gunner:
I’ll stick to what i said.
All I saw was Brasil falling like a castle made of sand on small physical contacts in the first halftime. Then IVC eventually getting fed up with Kaka and becoming really physical to shut his big mouth.
It’s all down to the ref anyway. He’d have given more yellows for simulation, would have been more interesting…

  77. Baafuor from Ghana

Wenger should try signing Thomas Sorensen if the deal for Schwarzer doesn’t fall through cos he is 33 and can give us 3 or 4 years before Chesny steps in.What do you guys think about Vincent Kompany?I think he is a massive player and he was solid through out the season. He can also play as a defensive midfielder. And with Shitty already signing Jerome Boateng I think a bid of around 12 million will do.I really rate that guy and he is a BELGIAN.
