Robin’s crocked already, time to seriously consider a replacement, now, before it’s too late.

by & filed under Uncategorized.

Now you may all laugh at that headline, Robin went over on his ankle so he’s a crock, the point is that Robin is always going over on something, Robin makes Darren Anderton look like a health fitness fanatic gay robot.

I love Robin and have always believed he could become the world’s best player, I know, I say the same about Theo, and I still believe it, but they are both crocks and should we keep faith with them both, we should however view them as our luxury players, injured more than they are fit, and that’s a fact.

So what do we do then? We just bought Chamakh, we’ve yet to see if he is good enough but I think he will be, then we have to look at the others, Arshavin is not really a striker, more a hole player, Eduardo I think has had it, Vela isn’t good enough and Bendtner has got right up my nose with his ‘my dream is’ comments, and I don’t think he’ll ever be world class, well about as world class as Santa Cruz or John Carew, and I wouldn’t want either of them.

So I think we need to sell Vela, Bendtner and Eduardo and use the money to buy Dzeko and Hazard.

We are today being linked with Taylor of Newcastle, I’d have him, the sort of dirty bastard we need, but what about Nedum Onouha of Man City? He’s big, skilful and English, despite his name!

Man City would sell him, he’s young and would fulfil the Wenger criteria, he also has EPL experience, so maybe a punt on him would be a good move.

Back to Robin, if this world cup doesn’t get him, something else will, I bet I could get 5000-1 at Paddy Power on him completing a season uninjured, we know it will happen, so it’s time we planned ahead, three strikers in our squad are not good enough to take over, we can get good money for them now and use it wisely.

Don’t make the same mistakes as you did last season Arsene!

Since Song cemented his place he now seems to be picking up injuries, there’s a surprise, still it proves we need a spare, I quite like Toulalon, anybody?

Cesc is beginning to pick up injuries on a regular basis so maybe Gourcuff would be a smart move as well.

I’m getting my wish list in early as Tuesday is just around the corner, so maybe by then we will compile the definitive list, that you, the readers would prefer.

Have a great day Grovers, no football today, but there is the cricket, we can make Bangladesh follow on and Lewis or Jensen could win the Grand Prix. So unless you are German, Australian or indeed Bangladeshi, you’ll be routing for them.

Bless you all and peace on earth, wherever you come from!

gambon if you look over the internet you can see comments by wenger and mourinho amongst others talking about not liking two left footers as it’s unbalanced. Wenger was saying that this season even, as was mourinho either this or last season, think it was this though.

yeah he got a brace in the semi stu, those were the only three he scored though

  2. Robin's Choco Leg Special

france are shite! i need to take their players out of my dream team…

If anyone has a team set up for the sky sports fantasy footy league you can join my league which is 20828.. Highest UK finish get’s a crate of Kronenberg..

  3. gambon

Well i wouldnt trust a word wenger says about defence as he hasnt a clue.

As for Mourinho well i suppose he has credibility.

  4. reggie 57

Dont want him its only competiton for RVP to see who can stay on the treatment table longer and he’s a chav!!

  5. Robin's Choco Leg Special

i’d rather have joe cole than any 1 of nasri, rosicky, walcott and yes, arhsavin…

    yeah i said it…

  6. reggie 57

Spuds have just tied modric down to a long term contract old twitchy said you cant get anywhere if you sell your best players!! AW take note..

  7. Stu

Gambon, think about it this way. Wenger is soooo shit with defences but even he knows you cant play 2 lefties. Tells you something.

    Gallas Goal! 1-1.

  8. A

lol reggie, that just means that they’ll get more money for him when they sell him if utd ever come calling!

cesc is on a contract of a similar length remember….

  9. Stu

So we have 4 french internationals and really should make it 5 in the summer if Wenger wants. (gallas out, Gourcuff and 1 of Toulalalalalalan or Ribery in ;) .)

  10. Robin's Choco Leg Special

we really should be offering gallas a 2 yr deal on his current wages.. But his cunt nature upsets the kids in changing room…. Is Gallas really that much of a hate figure?

  11. A

robin didn’t we offer him more or less that, but he wanted a big wage hike, despite the fact he’s only likely to play half the season?!

  12. Stu

Well i hate Gallas but i hate most people.

Its not just his status amoung the team, he will miss a few months through injury if he stays. He hasnt had an injury free season yet, i dont expect that to change if he stays.

  13. A

true reggie, but modric hasn’t come through the ranks at spuds, doesn’t love the club, and spurs are a small club who could never hang on to anyone half good if someone bigger came calling….

though i don’t see zagreb coming into money or the croatian league rivalling the prem or la liga anytime soon

  14. gambon

Nah Stu, i was talking to Rinus Michels the other day and he said 2 lefties is ideal.

Then i texted Sacchi and he confirmed this.

  15. Robin's Choco Leg Special

stu, this is lyon we’re talking about.. Eduardo, 17m and a partridge in a pear tree still wouldn’t get toulalan..

  16. gambon

If you think about it Wengers record in the transfer market has gone to shit in recent years.

He decided against signing Ribery, Alonso, DiMaria, Ronaldo, Modric and went and bought Theo & Nasri.

Shrewd operating in the transfer market was all he had going for him.

  17. A

come on now gambon, that isn’t what happened at all….

ronaldo, ribery, and alonso were nothing to do with deciding against signing them, the player/selling club is why they didn’t end up here….

Nasri > Modric every time for me

  18. Stu

Modric > Nasri every time for me.

There is an age difference and Nasri MIGHT be better in time but right now and over the last few years wyou would be mad to chose Nasri.

  19. Robin's Choco Leg Special

gambon, what is it you have against nasri?

Don’t say “nothing apart from the fact he’s fat/a fat ponce”

  20. A

Stu what do you mean last few years? Both players have just been at their clubs for the last two seasons, and Nasri has at least been the equal of modric imo, even if Nasri didn’t kick on this season as much as expected after a very promising first season.

  21. Robin's Choco Leg Special

Good day for the brits today, except if you like cricket..

    u17 world champions

    McClaren 1-2 in Turkey GP

    England seniors win friendly

Scot murray went out of French open

  22. Stu

Has anyone got any idea why Gignac is in this french squad for the WC? 8 goals and 4 assists all season is pathetic.

In contrast Cisse has 23 league goals in 28 games (albeit in Greece)

Henry hasnt played all season either. They arent going into the WC with an on form attack at all.

  23. A

I don’t get why Nasri’s belly is focussed upon when Arshavin has twice the tubbiness, but seems to be ignored?!

  24. Stu

Well just take the last 2 seasons then. I think Modric has been better than Nasri. Came from a weaker league than Samir and imo has been better in the prem.

  25. reggie 57

Well we will see who stays and who goes between Cesc and Modric im willing to have a little wager that Cesc goes first as a BIGGER club will come calling…..

  26. Stu

Becaus Arshavin still managed 11 goals and 6 assists. Nasri only got 5 goals and 4 assists in about the same amount of games.

Aparently twice as fat but still twice as good ;)

  27. Robin's Choco Leg Special

france look disjointed, but these are only friendlies.. They are quite tight at the back in pressure situations and have an array of players who can be match winners..

  28. Robin's Choco Leg Special

    England 23

    GK: Green, Hart, James

DF: Caragher, G. Johnson, Terry, Ferdinand, King, Upson, A.Cole, Warnock/Baines

MD: Walcott, Lennon, Barry, Milner, Gerrard, Lampard, J.Cole, A.Johnson

    FW: Rooney, Defoe, Crouch, Heskey

  29. Cannon Man

I suspect Gallas was the only experienced head we had who took responsibility whenever the kids got too big for their boots…..until Sol came back. That’s why I think a few take issue with him. Given what he’s won with us, I think harsh words sound a bit better coming from Sol but Diaby’s face has told me the score on a couple of occasions when he’s been geed up. I might have read the situation wrong but we need more players with a winning mentality. The only current standouts worth mentioning are Sagna, Gallas, Vermaelen, Clichy, Cesc and last but certainly not least, RVP. You’d have thought that with all the state of the art technology at the training ground, we’d have have some testosterone on tap for the likes of Theo.

Apparently, Chamakh’s not just a striker though.

    He’s also a FIGHTER.

    BIFF! BLAFF! KAPOWWWW!

  30. A

Stu Modric managed 3 goals and 3 assists in the sameish number of games too….

Robin is that you’re squad or what you think it will be?

Only change I reckon there’ll be is huddlestone in there

  31. Robin's Choco Leg Special

i would think that is what capello would take… Might be a bit too early for A. Johnson, but he’s been the best in training and had a good cameo…

    I’d personally take:

    Green, Hart, James

Carragher, G.Johnson, Ferdiand, Terry, King, Upson, A.Cole, Warnock

Walcott, Lennon, Parker, Barry, Lampard, J.Cole, Milner, A.Johnson

    Rooney, Defoe, Crouch

  32. Robin's Choco Leg Special

    England best XI

    Green

    Carragher Ferdinand Terry A.Cole

    Barry/Parker

    Lampard Gerrard

    Walcott Rooney J.Cole

  33. Stu

Its not just goals with Modric imo A. He controlls totnumbs tembo and dictates their play.

Nasri neither scored enough or is involved enough. That will probably change next season but for the last 2 seasons Modric has been the better overall player.

  34. Robin's Choco Leg Special

i’d rather carragher than glen johnson and although walcott is shite he’s certainly better than wright phillips and lennon… I have a funny feeling that ikkle TJ will have a good world cup, get a dream move to juve then return to his shite ways :)

  35. Robin's Choco Leg Special

    je was always in mine…

only other candidate for the left is A.Johnson and that’s because walcott, wright phillips and lennon are too 1 footed… It says something when we try to play gerrard there.. If only giggs were 10 years younger and english :(

  36. Stu

    James
    Johnson – Ferdy – Terry – Cole
    Hargreaves
    Gerrard – lampard
    JCole
    Rooney – Crouch

IMO thats what england should play..provided they are all fit and on form. Maybe drop one of Gerrard, Lampard or Cole and put Barry in there against the better attacking teams but overall i think a Diamond would best suit them ebcause England have no top wingers imo..Young never gets picked so no point suggesting him.

  37. el tel

Nutty played RB for Arsenal when he first arrived and sol played right side this season even though he is a leftie.

Nasri is far better than Modric IMO. He broke his leg pre season so that may be the reason for his inconsistency.

  38. Stu

Joe Cole is only im my team because he is one of the few england players that have the skill and vision to play in the attacking midfield/playmaker role. He would obviously need to be fit though.

  39. Gooby

    —————–Hart————–
    —carragher—ferdinand—–terry—–
    -glen J—————————cole
    ———–parker—————–
    —–gerrad———lumphard———
    ———-walcott/cole————–
    ——rooney————————

i’d rather play cole and johnson in a more attacking role but that’s only my opignon

  40. Robin's Choco Leg Special

i can’t see past spain and brazil tbh with holland being my dark horse pick..

Van Persie at 16/1 to be top scorer is well worth a punt!

  41. Jay

Joe cole is one of those players who has got an abundance of talent but it just does not fit well in a standard team set up.

  42. el tel

Couldn’t give a fuck who Engerland pick as most of them are Chavmeisters.

Modric is the equivalent to Hleb for the Spuds, a good player but Nasri is and will be better.

  43. el tel

    Ok Stu

You prefer Modric then I rspect your opinion but I think Nasri is the better player who gets played in too many different positions.

  44. Stu

I dont prefer Modric as such El Tel, i just think he has played better than Nasri over the last 2 seasons, because of, as you say, Nasri doesnt have a set position.

But imo he should have settled by now. He played in the middle for the last 2 months of this season and bar the Porto game, he did little to suggest he deserved to play there every week.

  45. Stu

Gallas played left back for the chavs despite being right footed. Playing on the left doesnt mean much imo. Sol is a rightfooter.

  46. el tel

I am far from being a walcott fan but he played the first half with that useless fat cunt Johnson.

Lennon went right side with a proper defender supporting him and did no better in my opinion.

That cunt of cunts commentator never had one good word to say about Theo as I reckon he hates The Arsenal yet he was purring about Lennon. Silly Spud cunt Muggery on Sky cunting Theo off too.

Funny how they all rave about the fattest Chav of all Rooney, he was shit in both the friendlies, everyhting has to go through him and if it doesn’t the tosser throws a fit. I hope the fat prick gets injured, only then will we see a change of tactics even if it is to lump it up to Crouch after all thats still the only way Engerland can play and why skillfull players like J.Cole will be overlooked.

Stu challenged me. I will not go down easy
