So we’ve all spent the last few days a little down in the dumps, so I thought this post could be mixed with a little bit more positivity… anyway, lots to cover, lets get cracking!
Happy noises!
Firstly, from the chat coming out the Emirates, it appears that everyone at Arsenal is singing off the same ‘we’ve got cash’ hymn sheet. Wenger has money and he’s not afraid to use it! According to Wenger, there are plenty of players in the market and they can’t all go to the Chelsea, Man U and Man City.
Remember that line just incase he tries to play the, ‘finding top players is hard’ line in August.
So we’ve got money and a manager who seems ready to spend. He made the following comment in this months Arsenal magazine,
‘”I might have to sign Real Madrid’s cast-offs this summer.’
You know what Arsene, that’s a great idea! You built 3 Premier League winning teams around a Milan cast off. I’d be sniffing around Madrid’s players for sure. If they want Cesc, we’ll have Kaka… If they want to offload Higuain, Gago or any of their other superstars… why wouldn’t we bid if we’re able to financially?
Is Wenger on the booze?
I’m wasn’t quite sure if Wenger had been at Hill-Woods whiskey cabinet before he gave the interview but he claimed the Barcelona are a better team than us because they’ve tasted trophy success. He reckons we’ll see a different Arsenal when we win a trophy.
Arsene, here’s and idea that I believe every Arsenal fan will back me on.
TRY AND WIN ONE OF THE CUPS!
A win is a win is a win! Ferguson started his road to success with an FA Cup, Mourinho did the same with a Carling Cup, George Graham with a 1987 League Cup win. This team needs a kick start… beggars can’t be choosers and please understand Arsene, we’re beggars!
Do the right thing for the fans and treat the FA Cup and the Carling Cup with the respect they deserve.
Even if we did win a trophy, does anyone honestly believe we’d be anywhere near this current Barca team?
What about the players coming through?
This is always a game I’d rather avoid because it’s difficult to predict who Wenger will take under his wing.
My players to watch out for next year for me are as followed:
Eastmond: A smooth operator in the middle of the park. Pacey, tenacious and hungry for success. Could land himself a few additional games in the middle of the park next year and I think I speak for most when I say I’d rather watch him develop over Denilson.
Wilshere: I’m putting him in this category because I think he’s been very good at Bolton and he has the type of attitude we need in our team. Creative, tough and English. I’d like him to get more field time for us next year. He’s a game changer and he’s had 6 months in the equivalent of football borstal.
Gibbs: Seems to get injured a little too often for my liking but a super talent regardless. He’s like Clichy with crossing skills. Hopefully he’ll challenge his French counterpart for a starting berth next season. Or, if rumours are to be believed, he could take over entirely if the interest from Barca and Real is real
Henderson: I’ve been given the low down on this player and I’ve heard he has a similar playing style to Darren Fletcher… he runs and runs and runs… could be our home grown Flamini. Next year is probably a little early for him but the more grit we can get in the squad, the better.
Chesney: The goalkeeping equivalent of Cesc Fabregas according to some. 19 is incredibly young for a keeper to break through into the first team, however, it has to be noted that Casillas was about 18 when he broke through. Can he take the pressure, or should he be loaned?
The dream…
Maintaining Sol Campbell will be like trying to get the best out of a 50 year old Alfa Romeo… if we can do it, it’ll be more than worth it. The guy still has the pace and his presence will be invaluable.
The Verminator has been a welcome addition to the team this year. His heart and passion has been welcome to the squad and his goals have been a pleasure. It’s like having Martin Keown back in the squad. If we can find a proper full time partner for him and teach him a little more positional discipline, we could have the best defender in the league on our hand by the end of next year. Geoff reckons he’d make a superb defensive midfielder… I’m inclined to agree.
Arshavin will be fully aware that a large percentage of the fan base have grown tiresome of his inadequate performances. He’ll want to prove Wenger wrong when he said 2 years ago he doubted the Russians engine. He’ll have the summer off to rest his foot then he’ll be back to rock our world next season.
Cesc Fabregas will have a blinding world cup and certainly resist the overtures of the Catalans. He’ll cite the fact that the vulgar wages on offer put him off and Lionel Messi’s resemblance to a hobbit would freak him out in the showers. The Spaniard will give us one final season of pure magic before handing over the centre midfield duties to Wilshere, Rambo and Nasri.
Finally, Arsenal will address the shocking injury situation at Arsenal. They’ll work out that training with 80kg back packs before every game tires players and reduce the weight by half. We’ll pick up less injuries next year giving us at least an additional ten points. Combine that with the new world class keeper, 2 centre backs, Chamakh and some steely competition for Song in the middle… Arsenal will mount a serious challenge on 4 fronts!
Next season, we’ll be a different beast… a winning machine if you will!
That is my dream… Arsene, go forth and make it happen!
What’s your Arsenal dream?
Let us know in the comments!
P.S. I caught the Barca – Inter game last night. Mourinho showed what you can do when you use tactics against a superior team. He successfully nullified Barca and came out a 3-1 winner. I was talking tactics on Sunday with a friend and pondered how you can defend in packs and not get exposed… well, Inter proved that you can expose a team playing that tactic with their first goal. Watching Barca last night was like watching Arsenal struggle at Bolton… but you know what, winning isn’t always about style and beauty, it’s about out thinking your opponent.
Just a word on Balotelli. He came on, did very little, fluffed a touch, was jeered… then he went off at the crowd. What a spoilt, petulant, lazy idiot that boy is. He has it all… bar a brain and the right attitude. He’ll never make it if he carries on like that and I certainly wouldn’t want a player at Arsenal who would makes Adebayor look like Theo Walcott attitude wise.

RED CARD?????? WTF was that for?
Straight red for Ribery. Ref must have a daughter.
Whys that Dave?
LOL!
Lyon are very good defensively. If any grover is watching, check out their CB and captain Cris. If he agrees to join us,it will be just too good.
Looks like the ref is a cunt, just given a red card to Ribery for stepping on a Lyon player. Pure Karma, from ManU perspective! Frank caused the sending off of ManU’s LB
French football star Franck Ribery admits sleeping with underage girl as child prostitute scandal grows

Whys that Confident? Are we linked with Cris? He would be a fantastic addition imo for his ability but at 31 i doubt he would be here for long.
*32, he’ll be 33 this summer.
Oh right Dave, didnt know about that. Its pretty shit that he felt the need to sleep with someone 10 years younger than him, especially being married with kids. Whats with footballers for fuck sake.
I guess they want to outdo Tiger Woods.
*** seen the replay, the stamp by Frank was bad, he deserves it. No excuse for that. That could have broken the guy’s ankles.
That was a definite Red.
Disgusting tackle.
Not sure, Stu, just mentioning his name in case Wenger is reading. For a defender he is very mobile and you will never suspect he is more than 30years old. Nice buy,if we’re looking for a defender that is ready!

He’s got a hard on, ronaldo gettin jealous
WHat a run from Lahm and what a miss from Muller
Toulalan 2 yellows in 5 minutes and he is gone.
Lloris can show the world what he has now
in other news:
Raith Rovers 0 – 0 FC Dundee HT
evening all
Cracking goal by Muller…
Unlucky for Lloris there
Funny Ribery joke there Dave.
The way Lyon plays at home, you would think 1-0 is noy enuf for Bayern, especially with Ribery being out.
On Ribery, what is so fascinating about rocking the cradle. From the looks of him you just knew he was an infant killer. No I don’t want his sort at Arsenal.
Zeus,
You could argue that Islam allows 4 wives and girls younger than 18!! Do you need only angels in Arsenal?
Where I’m from the age of consent is 16. Under 18 is not the problem. Tony adams was no saint.
But even if you go to prison, the one crime that is most frowned upon is crimes involving kids.
He didn’t know she was under age! Looking at her I wouldn’t either!
blog fart?
Talking football now, imagine if we had the bayern duo of Ribery and Robben in our team! We would in the EPL, and the champions league.
We need;
A top GK
2 CBs (1 top, one willing to stay in the Bench)
2 wingers (Chamkah plus one world class)
1 DM to alternate with Song, who has pace
1 top, tall striker
We need 2 CBs as we will ship out Fishhead, Gallas , Djorou are half men.
Who needs Theo, Rosicky and Eddie

what the fuck?????
a scumbag footballer????
man thats news to me
imagine denilson in a sex scandal…
if only, hes not good enough
with rvp, cesc, gallas, arshavin, and a proper keeper would we have given lyon or bayern a decent game?
probably.
My dream is to get 2 tickets for the Arsenal Fulham game…….. still
nice to see van gaal putting robben in his place,a quality manager.
I m not sure Incesc, cesc is not that strong, Song is slow, Daiby or Dennilson are not there.they will overun our mid.
Anyine know when our new kit is being released? Liverpool have released pictures of their (and probably some other clubs too).
Denilson in a sex scandal? He’s still a virgin.
I’ve just read the Grimsby town version of Le Grove…..I do feel sorry for them. If you think putting up with Silvestre and some of the other muppets is too much take a look at this:
http://www.thefishy.co.uk/cgi-bin/forum/Blah.pl?m-1271541289/
Denilson isnt a virgin. Heard he’s been getting personal lessons from Sol on his positioning.
Now I’m as optimistic as anyone when it comes to this twát of a football club, but after this afternoon’s latest capitulation it’s time to wake up and smell the coffee – we’re fúcked. Down. Goners. Non-league. To be honest I didn’t know how it would affect me, it’s not like it hasn’t been coming, but tonight I just feel absolutely deflated. Absolutely fúcking devastated.
I can’t get away from these emotions, I just want the whole world to just fúck off and leave me alone. To help me come to terms with this whole mess, I’ve decided to compile a list of everyone and everything I want to fúck off most of all.
For starters, work can fúck off. If they think I’m going to be there on Monday morning they’ve got another thing coming. No way am I going in to spend time dealing with cúnts that I can barely stand being with when I’m in a good mood, let alone this crushing feeling of anger, frustration and outright metaphorical-kicked-in-the-bóllocks-ness.
Plastic Premier League fans can fúck off. I just spoke to my Manchester United supporting neighbour (who incidentally, has been to Old Trafford before – twice) about Town’s predicament. You know what he said? “I know how you feel; it’s like when we failed to win a trophy in ‘95”. NO IT FÚCKING WELL IS NOT!
He no longer has a face.
The girlfriend can definitely fúck off. Her best attempt at consolation – “I don’t know why you’re bothered; you knew they were shít anyway”. Yes love, but they’re MY shít team. They’ve been MINE for pretty much as long as I’ve been able to wipe my own árse, and they’ll be MINE for as long as I’m alive (or at least, until I’m no longer able to wipe my own árse). Truth is, watching my team win does things for me that no woman can. If push comes to shove and I’m horny, I can always have a wánk.
Barrow can fúck off. I’ve been all over the country and beyond to watch my team, but frankly I just don’t have the stomach to visit any town which makes Scunthorpe look like fúcking St. Tropez.
Dad, you can fúck off. This is your fault. Your idea. You introduced me to this shower of shít. “Come with me to Blundell Park”, you said, “Come and support the boys”. What could I do? I was fúcking four, what choice did I have? Why not get me hooked on Heroin whilst you were at it? I could have gone with mum shopping for bras and knickers at British Home Stores, but no, you knew best.
Granted, I’d have probably grown up a homosexual but surely even being simultaneously búggered two guys named Seth and Quentin couldn’t hurt like this.
Seeing as we’re on the subject of homosexuality, Gok Wan can fúck off. No particular reason, I just plain don’t like the annoying, goggle-eyed cúnt.
The F.A. can fúck off. Not for supplying us, week-in, week- out, with inept referee after inept referee, but for imposing sensible financial rules on all clubs in League Two. How many clubs in this division have been into administration this season? Not one. How many points deducted? Not one. How the fúck else are we supposed to avoid relegation – footballing merit? We didn’t have to last season, so why spoil the fun now?
The World Cup can fúck off – I don’t care anymore.
My local pizza shop can fúck off. I ordered a 12” Pepperoni over an hour ago, and where the fúck is it? Are they trying to fúcking fly it to me or something?
Sky Sports can fúck off. Nothing personal, but there’ll be little need for me next season with no Town to be found anywhere. Ooh, Bolton versus Wolves, LIVE. I think I’ll pass…
The radio can fúck off. On my way home from the match, whilst driving down the M180, I caught three completely separate stations playing ‘Down’ by Jay Sean at the exact same fúcking time. The song’s the best part of a year old, how the fúck does that happen by coincidence!?
My nan’s old lucky Buddha that used to sit in her front room can fúck off. When I was a kid I held it in my hands and wished for Town to be in the Premier League. I meant the proper one you fat cúnt, not the one occupied by Histon, Eastbourne and for fúck’s sake, Ebbsfleet, wherever that is.
Tonight can fúck off. I’ve had enough of trying to cope with my emotions; the time has come for oblivion. I haven’t kept any booze in the house since an occasion known only as ‘That Night’ by myself and the missus, but suffice to say that the toilet duck and luminous blue mouthwash are looking like stronger propositions by the minute.
Most of all though, the last 10 years can fúck off. In that time I’ve watched my team fall from the top of the Championship into non-league nothingness. We’ve gone from one great big fúck up to the next without even coming up for air, and today is just the big, fúck off cherry on top.
One thing I’m sure of though is that we WILL be back. When it comes down to it, a football club is basically just a set of supporters, and frankly what I’ve learned in the last few years is that this one has some of the best. We’ve had to put up with some shít, haven’t we boys, but in spite of all of that the future is still bright – it’s fúcking black and white.
Grimsby ‘til I die…
cheers finest
Finest
quality.
That Grimsby cunt is a proper fan
The Grimsby fan has made me laugh out loud with his funny little story.
I am crying with laughter at his unhappiness, what a quality bit of writing.
I wish I knew this person as he seems a whole barrel of laughs. Diamond Geezer and proper supporter.
Bet the Cunt smells of fish though.
Wenger was asked whether Fabianski was too sensitive for the Premier League? “No,” the manager replied. “You can turn sensitivity to an advantage because he can feel and see things that others don’t see but, as well, when you have guilt, it can be a disadvantage confidence-wise. He is a top-class goalkeeper. I repeat that many times and you will see that one day, I am right.”

Oh dear God.
Jesus Christ
I cannot wait for World Cup 2010 where the world will see how mediocre Theo Walcott.
How does Walcott make 60k a week when we could not afford to keep Hleb and Flamini?
Anybody know the nutritional meal plan of players?
Denilson and Eastmond will never workout in the weight room, because Wenger is the manager, nutritionist, lawyer, doctor, father, physiotherapist and accountant of the club.

Jor-el
You are getting us confused with people who actually give a shit about your opinion.
Jor-el: you are just plain weird. Yesterday you said something about “those who can do..those who can’t blog..”, and, that you don’t like this site.
Pray tell, what are you doing here?
Morning/evening Gnarley.
Simon,
by the time the Fulham game comes round you’ll be able to get tickets for yourself and every other person you’ve ever known, so don’t worry, just be patient.
Forbes values United at £1.19bn($1.84bn), Real at £859m ($1.32bn), and Arsenal, in third, at £767m ($1,181m).
It uses data on income streams such as broadcast rights, sponsorship and sales of tickets and merchandise.
Barcelona is fourth in the 20-team list which includes six clubs from the Premier League plus Newcastle United who have spent this season playing in the Championship.
Liverpool, Chelsea and AC Milan all made the top 10, but the trio’s value had each fallen by 19% in the 2008/09 season according to the Forbes calculations.
Juventus and Olympic Marseille had the two biggest increases in value – each gaining 9% on the previous year.

G’Day to you 2.
I know of one Gooner who will be happy today, John Lydon.
Gnarley: I take it you are referring to Malcolm McLaren’s funeral.
Got to say, that John Lydon is a tool!
Never Mind The Bollocks…….
Great album.
Gnarley: where in Oz are you. Have just been talking to one of my oldest buddies who emigrated there about 8 years ago. Much against his will. His ex decided to fuck off there with his 5 yr old son, leaving him no choice.
New post!
Morning all, when is that unhappy bastard Geoff going to grace us with his presence again? Must say I miss the bear.
Take care, you guys.
Just seen on the ever-reliable Sky News that Marmite are seeking legal action against the BNP for use of image of Marmite jar.
You may be next!
Hi everyone. I’m new here so I just wanted to say hi
