Maybe our players should sit down and talk before they talk!

by & filed under Uncategorized.

So Andre Arshavin says we need 4 or 5 stars to allow Arsenal to win silverware but Denilson thinks we’ll win something this year, so if you thought blogland didn’t agree on much, spare a thought for our team!

I have said from the start of the season we were a striker short, we must have been as we sold Ade, if we weren’t then we must have had one too many the season before, and don’t say we had injuries, because we always have injuries, I also said we needed another centre back a DM and a keeper, well that’s 4 of Arshavin’s 5 so we certainly agree on that.

He also said since the season started and we sold Ade and Kolo we have lost Gibbs, Robin and Ramsey, he didn’t mention Johan but he has a point, we are starting to get players back but when we start next season, if they are all fit, then we have a conundrum. And a great excuse to buy no one. However, we still need a centre back a DM a keeper and a forward, he appears to have Chamakh in the bag and Johan will be fit so that leaves a DM and a keeper, we’ll see and we have a long time to speculate, August is 5 months away and no doubt we’ll have to endure Cesc to Barca or now Milan until then.

It was really nice to read Matty Upson bigging up Nikki Bendtner, I think Bendtner will improve as the season goes on and that along with Eduardo will come at the right time. We all seem to forget that Nikki spent a season at Birmingham, so he will want to prove to them they missed out, he also knows the pitch and that will be a big help.

I was kidding about the pitch, but there is something about players returning to previous clubs, add Eduardo to that and who knows, maybe revenge at St Andrews is on the cards, this really would be the time to do that wouldn’t it? Then Barca, followed by a home game against a team we should crush to follow, and all that on the weekend that the Mancs entertain the chavs.

So it’s all coming thick and fast, Birmingham, Barca, Wolves, Barca, wow, what a week!

I thought the chavs were playing last night, but it’s tonight, so we have something to look forward to, I feel for West ham and hope they don’t sack Zola, if they go down, they’ll be straight back, of that I have no doubts, but I hope they don’t go down.

All that chat yesterday about blog stalkers and I only had one on, that proves they read le Grove! I welcomed 12 new bloggers so that was nice, keep ‘em coming, the business end is upon us and it going to be close, the next 10 days will show us where we can go and I’m confident it will be a great end to the season, why? Because I’m mentally strong and I have great belief!

Enjoy tonight and let’s hope Avram get his own back!

    BBC:

Bit of a farcical end at Eastlands, where Roberto Mancini – clearly unhappy at what looks like his side’s first league home defeat this season – attempts to wrestle the ball from Everton counterpart David Moyes on the touchline and the pair get involved in a bit of a ruck. Referee Peter Walton sends them both to the stands. Needless.

  3. SUGA3

    GT,

apparently, they have been a bit twisted/lost in translation/rehashed – I’ve heard it all ;)

as long as he runs and scores/assists, let him talk – the only thing that may happen is that some players will want to prove him wrong, like they have proven a few recently…

  4. reggie 57

Yeah i can see that gtm? but its the spuds aint it? the enemy! I want them slags to loose at all times, cant help it mate its been bred into me!!

  5. GoonerT1m

agreed…i reckon he does not get the press and how the shit he comes out with gets translated, look at the stuff on his sight…either that or hes really funny and takin th piss a bit!!…hes been a bit off the pace recently but i put that down to injury..

    Evo

not sure where you get off saying people opinions have to stay the same !!!..

    thats a bit draconian !!!

    OPINIONS CHANGE !
but i would hardly say song and denilson have come good ! WHAT HAVE WE WON ??? ..

Song has become adequate ! IMO !
he still screws the pooch 3 or 4 times a game which is still too much for AFC.

last time he played WHam he fucked up at 38 minutes and 40 respectively ..

people tolerate his digressions more because he used to be so shit !

the reverse of AA23 . who does more than most 4 the team ,but who is also criticized for everything from holding onto the ball and not passing off to not getting into the game .

Evo you have clearly been brain washed into another train of thought ! u used to be so objective ..

However can you really say anyone has turned ANY corner if we win nothing again and finish 3rd like 3 or 4 years ago !

In fact if we do win nothing we can blame the marmite players just as easily !!!!!!!!!!!

  7. gnarleygeorge9

Well I guess we can forget about winning The Title on goal difference now :( 0-5 I see. Pompy must have dropped their bundle after that James howler. Thats when I turned the tele off.

    ethan

I think evo is probably a bit worked up about tonights Carlton v Richmond season opener @ The G. I know I am

  9. SUGA3

I havew lasted until 0:3, but 5 is too much…

we just took the foot off the gas a bit since we were on course to scoring 100 goals :(

this time, I’m really off, nite all ;)

    BD

Check out Jame’s hit & miss coming out of his line. It was an absolute joke but sad for The Arsenal.

    ALF= A left foot :)

sounds like some blog i know :)

i think thats what it should be called :)

    or Alf for short :)

I’ve been RFC since 1967 (Arsenal since 1971). Footy team yet??? since the State election last weekend, we don’t even have a government. Its Liberal 10 Labor 10 with the Green Party calling the shots with 5 seats. It will be as if someone has thrown the magic boomerang, where all time stands still. We are, how you say, Phucked.

  13. ethangunner

    i think i can smell a conspiracy theory :)

all the leg breaks must be something to do with ACLF !

its like the ‘all seeing eye’ on the 1 dollar note :)

its right in front of you , but you cant see it :)

(i know im going hear some fallout over this , and ill be loving every minute of it :) )

  14. ethangunner

but its just a footy team GG , it must be more about population down there than politics , surely ? !

isnt there a demand for it ?

  15. gnarleygeorge9

Its just a footy team? It must be more about population than politics?

You are missing the irony there. I guess not a lot of news from the Eastern sea board crossed the desert into WA previously. We are the smallest state. We win cricket all the time, but no one watches cricket in Aus anymore, well only when the poms come out. Cricket can run on the smell of an oily rag.

Anyway, ethan, the AFL are pushing 2 new teams into the Gold Coast & West Sydney, we are next. Until then we have Hawthorn here in Launceston 5 times a year. It’ll do for now, & its only 40 minutes to Melbourne by plane.

  16. gnarleygeorge9

Yes its a bit amateurish ethan. Watching old footage like that reminds me of those old newsreels of the 10 pound poms arriving in their daggy kit  back then.

  17. ethangunner

my point is WA back when the Eagles started , the population was still below 1 million …

it was investors more so than government orientated organizations who started the wet coat beagles :)

and the freo dorkers :) are they still pot-less :) ???

no i get pretty much NO news GG ..
i know Perth has a mega storm going on now but thats about all i know : )

  18. ethangunner

we missed the 10 pound ticket , i think mum tried to go there then , and was rejected ..

we only got over there because my sister went out 1st .. and sponsored mum and dad … about 1976

or arsha/nasri for rosicky. Maybe eduardo? Get rid of those memories. We need height though, diaby did great as CAM/CF against west ham

  22. khalle

As much as I hate them, The Yids win gives us the opportunity to concentrate on Barcelona. We would be given a 10 day rest which our players did not have the whole season.

  23. dennisdamenace

Hmmmmmm, interesting reading this, physioroom.com has the following information…..

W Gallas – Calf Muscle Strain – Return Date 31st March
R Van Persie – Sprained Ankle – Return Date 24th April
J Djourou – Knee Injury – Return Date 24th April

  24. dennisdamenace

I know he’s yet another young player and he’s done diddly squat in terms of football, but i’m genuinely excited at the prospect of signing Hazard. I’ve work in Belgium on and off for the past three years and every local was bigging this fell up, so i took a look and was very impressed, besides which it would be nice to finally have a proper winger in the team….

  25. Micky Did It 89

Would love Hazard. Toulalan could do the DM and CB roles. Very versatile and a good age (27ish). A GK, I have’nt a clue. As for a striker, it does seem that it is likely to be Chamakh or Remys and on that one, in Arsene I trust!
How is Drogba? Would’nt it be a shame if both Rooney and Drogba had annoying little niggly injuries.

  26. dennisdamenace

I’d take Lloris in goal in a heartbeat, but he’d be top dollar, but i guess if you want true quality you gotta pay for it. So, i guess Arsene stop cocking around and looking for bargain bucket goalkeepers and go and buy the real thing for once…..

  27. Micky Did It 89

ArsenalKenya: Just Brum, so call it a rest. We had all the conspiracy theorists out for that one. Nobody likes us. Its so unfair. Everyone loves Utd. Jeepers, truly pathetic.

  28. Micky Did It 89

DDM: I think its something of a myth about having to spend top dollar on GK’s. We could have had Given for very little. Or how much do you think it would take to prize that Brummie bloke for example. £8m? Its really not that much in the grand scheme of things.

  29. dennisdamenace

I agree, but for this current management £8m is top dollar! However, i would imagine that Lloris would be more likely to cost £15m….

  30. ethangunner

So, i guess Arsene stop cocking around and looking for bargain bucket goalkeepers and go and buy the real thing for once…..

good luck with that one :)

  31. ethangunner

i will say any keeper Exiting the EPL this season from the relgation bait teams is probably worth bidding on …

i suppose jensen will be definitely going back to the championship , maybe wenger will get ….

Whaoooaaa ! he’s 41 the fucker is older than me :)

    PASS :)

AFC doesnt want anyone older than me playing for the club :)

    Morning Grovers!

The post is going up automatically at 0900… I wont be around much this morning, so enjoy… but without calling each other cunts!

rocking horse shit….= do wood arrr – SHAVINS count :) ?

  34. Micky Did It 89

I suspect we will see about three incomers over the summer, and I also suspect, the books will in part be balanced with a fairly profitable exit. Any thoughts on who that could be? AA seems to be doing his best at staking his claim for that role!

  35. ethangunner

    OK SERIOUSLY …

GOAL KEEPER DEBATE – WHO …
    ———————————————
Wenger just after the window closed hi-lighted Sorensen as a missed target .

but i think any of the other 3 relegated teams could be targeted …

question is who is looking like getting relegated other than burnley ?

  36. ethangunner

hull – pompey of course ! they have to be relegated ..

would you take david james a season ?

so myhill – james – jensen .. maybe green on the outer !

  37. Micky Did It 89

Ethan: James definately not in my book. Green, yes, and West Ham appear in free fall. Thrashed at home by Wolves is not good.

  38. Micky Did It 89

Ethan; well AW will pay in the 10-15m bracket, as we know, and there is always some serious quality around for that money. There are always the grossly over-priced Villas and Berbatov’s of this world, and that is clearly not our thing.

  39. dennisdamenace

Fuck that cunt Webb, he’s an absolute disgrace, much like most if not all the fucking refs in this shite league…. One things for certain we know exactly what we’re gonna get from Birmingham, and we know exactly what we’re gonna get from Webb……..cunts all of ‘em.

  40. Micky Did It 89

bnsb: hear you, but I would have taken Given last year like a shot, and I do think Green is better. Only my opinion.

  41. rob green

The Daily Mirror – Bendtner injury doubt for Birmingham
Nicklas Bendtner last night dealt Arsenal a huge injury blow by revealing he is a doubt for Saturday’s trip to Birmingham.

  42. Micky Did It 89

If true about Bendy, then I would play Diaby up top. Won’t ever happen though. He will play a midget there.

  43. Bozin

    Morning all!

Crap if Supa Nick doesn’t play. Dudu might be scared playing at that field again, and against the thugs (Ridgwell et al).

  44. Geoff

Craig, to make a comment like that, yes, you should stick to blogging, you obviously know nothing about hard work.

Why is it whenever hard work is mentioned people compare Investment Bankers with nurses?

I know plenty of nurses that take 3 months off sick each year, I work fucking hard to earn a living and I resent paying my taxes to people that don’t.

We don’t live in an equal world, people that take chances and work every hour god sends should not be penalised, if we all paid 25% the people that earned more would pay more by default.

    Get off your soapbox.
