First of all I must comment on Eboue and his vast improvement this last few months, well Arsene is now saying he is becoming that player he knew was in there, great, at last so he’s what now? 26? Yet more proof that project youth only works in extremely rare situations, like Cesc, Messi and Rooney.
Most players in football only really come of age when they are 22 onwards, 26 maybe middle aged in Wenger’s book, but worldwide it the perfect age.
Players like Kaka, Zidane, Ronaldo and co only really come good when they get into their twenties, and that’s what is happening to Eboue.
What I don’t like is going through years of watching players learn at our expense and filling our team full of weak links in the hope that one day they will come good, I think you can afford to have one or two, but the bulk of them should be ready to go.
Arsenal are finally getting to the point where they are good to go, we have few weaknesses these days, bar maybe Denilson, but he’s still young enough to come good and Almunia, but he’s too old to come good.
I think sending Wilshere out on loan makes sense, when we get him back he’ll be ready to rock, Ramsey will come back a stronger player and hopefully Djourou will get fit in time to help out at the back when we need him most.
Until the likes of Djourou and Bartley grow monster heads I think we could do with one to look after our players, a Peter Story type, Cana would have done it, and yes I know he’s a DM, I don’t care where on the pitch we get one, but we don’t have one now. And we absolutely need one.
Robin is due back in April, which isn’t far away and he’s another that after so long was beginning to look world class.
So in all, this team are closing in on completeness and hopefully at the right time, I think Eboue offers that incisiveness we need on the right, though I would prefer to juggle him and Sagna and persevere with Theo as the winger.
We were out of the blocks against Porto and we need to do the same today, do that and we are top of the league, say we are top of the league.
Has a nice ring to it doesn’t it?
Have a great day Grovers, this is it! Oops, sorry Michael!

I don’t get it either Bax…
I even saw Denilson shoulder barge Fagin off the ball tonight.
van persie misses chances too. I think they create and miss about the same number. people just dont rate bendtner because of his style. but I think his presence is important for arsenal because we dont have many big players. if he was playing in the invincibles team, you would say he lacked the class, but this current team doesn’t need class, it needs fight and power.
Slate Wenger Gazz…???
We’re joint top, and through to the quarters in the CL.
I guess that means that he’s got more right than he’s got wrong so far.
The slating he gets for the things he’s done wrong is waay over the top imo, whilst he doesnt get the full credit for the things he does well.
Judging by what we know the players are capable of producing i think Arshavin (by his standards) were the poorest player today…
Agreed Gazz.
Fight and power. Spot on.
Song and Diaby give us the same in the middle, and now we have Tommy and Sol doing that at the back.
We bemoan Niks technique, but then bemoan our team being ‘full of midgets’.
Its odd
Ray. 100% agreed.
its because some people on here are only pretending to be Arsenal supporters.
Sharkey I am bored to fuck with your ‘y..a..w..n..’s
PLEASE GET A LIFE YOU RETARD
We won guys, so lets enjoy it. Whats the problem, are we talking football or venting frustrations….;-)
Leave David alone, stop being blog bullies, you’ll get someone telling on you if you don’t stop, this person might’ve been on earlier and already left around the time of the game, so please don’t upset him any further.
Can’t we just accept people like to pick on certain players to release frustration, Denilson is the appointed gimp at the moment.
If Bendtner scores a bit more of his chances and van Persie comes back and creates more chances we will be unstoppable…
Who’s E12 Gooner ? How long have I been gone for ?!
gazzap
it is denilsons fucking fault.
he is a professional footballer, he doesnt have to fall over whenever someone breathes on him and put us under pressure. He should be able to pass the ball metres to a team mate. If he is a defensive midifeider he should be able to tackle.
At least he can shoot
ritesh – I think that’s something that should be discussed about the blogging experience, there’s a difference between what some people expect from it.
Who’s the gimp?
at the end of the day endtner is stepping up at the right time. I am happy for the lad.
The thing i like about Bendtner is that he has the desire, he keeps creating and creating, he never let’s the missed chances bother him…he just keeps on creating more chances…and finally he scores, and he’s still only 22…he WILL get better!
reggie57 – Denilson ?!
Some of you really whine like girls… … Sober that or I am becoming an akb… …seriously though well done the arsenal! We are top of the league say we are top of the league! Can’t wait for whu next sat! Cha’mon
Why is Denilson the gimp then?does he wear a leather mask with a zip in it?
Denilson will cost us the League and the CL if Wenger keeps selecting him. Any fool can see that apart from Sharkey.
reggie57 – Because people abuse him, like he’s asking for it, when really they just want to vent frustration, hopefully.
Just back from the game.
I can’t believe some of you cunts are still moaning when we’ve just dug out a result like that. Beyond belief.
Cmon you Gunners.
Can we pray for a miracle tomorrow?
Man United vs Fulham 1-1
(Fulham did beat Man United 3-0 at home)
Though, that result probably will get Man United even more difficult for Fulham to handle…
Blackburn-Allardyce
Birmingham-McLeish
Spuds-Redknob
These are the tricky games.
chozzer – Honestly, it was bad enough waiting around for us to score watching it on tv, being at the game must leave you with palpitations.
Hmmmm Yeah Keyser I catch your drift now
I don’t think Fulham travel that well up to Old Trafford, they play far better at home against them.
if den falls over too easily every time he plays he should be dropped. there is only one man putting him in the team at every opportunity. only one man who didn’t buy a better DM in the summer.
Keyser,
That’s why i asked for a miracle…
Every game is a tricky now even w-ham next week is gonna be difficult!!
We have got a better DM, he was suspended, we’ve got two better central defenders to, they’re both injured, we’ve got a pretty good striker, he’s injured and we’ve probably got the best midfielder in the World also injured.
Denilson falls over because he’s fouled, whether it should take more than that is up for debate, but the refereeing in the premiership is pretty poor, and unless we’re at home, where our crowd can influence the ref like Hull’s, we’re not going to get those decisions.
gazzap,
Denilson only played today cause’ of Song being suspended….right?
RayGooner – Forget miracle, I’ll just be happy if they put out a strong team and actually try, unlike some teams that go there, we were the only team playing a team that was fully rested and after we’d played a Champions League game mid-week, hopefully Chelsea and United will look as lethargic in games to come.
The Referee was woeful today one of the worst I have ever seen could have been some serious damage done to the players of both sides imo!!
Wenger didn’t buy a new DM cause he had both Song and Denilson, and he was hoping for one of them (if not both) to step up this season, and i think Song has done just that…
On the injuries to key players…
“Rosicky and Fabregas have a good chance to be ready for next week. Gallas, no.”
Gallas is pissing me off no end.
I’d be happy if Hangeland “damaged” Rooney in some way (if you know what i mean…)
E12…
“Get a life…”..if only you knew. Ha ha.
Hope you have a good evening….no honestly, I really do…..
And just for you…Y..a..w..n !!!
Lol…
I don’t think Denilson should carry that much blame, their goal was offside, and Sol had to make the covering challenge, apart from that they rarely threatened us, at least I can’t think of many chances they had, the odd pot shot from distance maybe ?!
We’re playing with almost the whole spine of our team out, Gallas would probably have got back to cover Hesselink, even Djourou.
We’ve been descibed as a one-man team for ages and now we’re getting results without Fabregas to, today though, Nasri and Diaby both looked tired and it was hard for us to pass our way through.
Seriously, I know we should be able to play on it, but going from a carpet like Emirates pitch to the heavy mud heap at Hull, must be tiring aswell.
Andrey Arshavin – 8 – Did ‘a Nasri’ by dribbling through a pair of Hull defenders before slotting home the opener. Guilty of blazing over a perfectly good opportunity.
****************
Thomas Vermaelen – 8 – Dominating at the back and even displayed a level of skill on the ball that some Premier League forwards don’t even possess.
Very true.
Keyser they had one shot on target which was the peno…..
I hope Zayette’s ok, thought Campbell got the ball first but still pretty heavy challenge, waiting for Match of the Day to see how bad Boatengs is.
zeus,
Arshavin actually missed 2 sitters today…
He could have killed the game off earlier…
really poor performance, but 3 points is all that matter.
i think arshavin, rosicky and denilson are the best long distance shooters we have in our squad, though arshavin had been abysmal in his shooting recently.
i believe there should always be a player with good long shot in our midfield trio. either song or diaby should work on this.( wish we could clone song and denislon).
and i dont want to be negative but i think bendtner’s goal was a very lame effort, a better keeper could have even stopped it.
Yeah, thats twice now we’ve let teams back into it when we were cruising, West Ham’s going to be tough.
Boateng’s should have been a straight red never a 2nd yellow thats why the ref was piss poor to many challenges which went unpunished…..
Alright Chozzer…
You and the other away fans did us proud today !!
Sharkey
When did Denilson win any headers?
I find it hilarious that youre the only one that made that observation…are you sure you were watching Arsenal or are you just that plain delutional?
Did Denilson win any headers over Alitidore? Ofcoarse not.
Did Denilson win headers over Jan Vennegoo? No
THis is despite Arsenal having 70% of the possesion…Discusion ended? heh.
Nice tone for someone so petulant.
Baxter
Youre a fucking AKB…Happy?

Its like another blogger who wanted Diaby shot and swore he was never an Arsenal player
————-
What the fuck does that have to do with Denilson being shite.
Also thing its hilarious you single me out for calling Denilson shite when the 90% of the gooners on here have been saying so…
What is youre purpose in life to defend the defenseless?
Im pretty sure you think of yourself as a charming fella as well dont you.
David – the discusson was ended by myself cos I could see you were heading for the name calling and the sort of my dads bigger than yours ‘style of discussion’
I don’t get involved in those.
I also see that you’re another who doesnt get the complete irony of calling anyone an AKB.
“Happy”..?? Yeah I’m really happy for you.
Is anyone else worried that Almunia’s penalty’s saved ratio is now below 50% ?!
Whatever Sharkey
Youre just trying to hide the fact that youre delusional…and youre the only one who saw Denilson winning headers.
I bet you saw him doing 50 yard backheel passes and beating 6 players like he was Messi.
Haha Sol is English so his aggressive tackle was fine
So now you’re defending Baxter because I called him an AKB.
You’re right..im such a horrible person.
Baxter wouldnt be able to live his life now that ive called him an AKB. Im very unreasonable too.
Some how i fully expected Almunia to save that penalty…almost did too.
No David..you called me one – 22.35
What is Ironic
Is praising Denilson and criticizing Arshavin.
Now that is some great fucking Irony there.
Its people like you that can explain why Fabianski gets a new contract after a fuck up.

There’s a muppet on here by the name of Baxter Wall that only opens his mouth to slagg people off…
sharkey.how am i a blog hardman?
NN – You really need that explaining..??
Don’t know if this is recent or old ..
http://www.arshavin.eu/en/news.php?id=517
Should spend more time on his finishing rather than this bs.
explaine? . i had an opinion on dennilson and you didnt like it so called me an internet hardman.
Lol NN thats too funny…..
Wow, are people still bleating on about Cana?
Yeah he would’ve been great. Getting suspended all the time and teaching our young players to do the same. Not to mention his complete lack of tactical understanding and the fact that the team he supposedly inspires is pure rubbish
David. I think you are a Spud. Thats why I give you hard time. I think you are a pathetic fucking knobcheese who pretends to be an Arsenal fan in order to wind up Arsenal fans.
You know nothing about Arsenal, you never say anything good about Arsenal and you love to start fights. As for me being a AKB…its laughable i’ve given him as hard a mauling as anyone on here.
But I am an AKBTY. Which stands for Arsene Knows Better Than You.
Found any proof for your Denilson always gives the ball away comment yet? David?
Nope. Thought not.
WoW! 3 huge, huge, huge points

……supposed arsenal “supporters” r weird….
Lol Obi
Best thing about bloggimng is that everythng ‘you say’ is there in b&w to used as evodence against you !!
Anyways thats a good night for me! Great win today!
Baxter Wall…
I couldnt give a flying fuck what you think…youre opinion is slighly less than the amount of effort its taking to type this.
Booty Calls
was saying before the game that I wouldn’t mind a dirty win today as long as it was 3 full points. So well done.
I reckon that with Song Diaby and Cesc in the middle we’ll be pretty fuckin solid.
This will be a pretty slow week though
obi
then i said:
“erm i take it all back
hahahaha
come on arsenal”
have you watched fever pitch? have you ever been frustrated at a game? have yoy ever been extremeely happy to be proved wrong??
I only got pissed off because I care, hindsight is beautiful thing
and obi to question me being a “supporter”
Well fuck you
I guess Obi because you are a good old arsenal fan you had the power of “seeing into the future” and werent frustrated that we were very poor today and always knew we would win 3 minutes into injury time.
oh and you probably think i am “plastic”
really interesting on here… …come on you gooners enjoy!
Interesting:
But the truth is, the Gunners are better with Bendtner. Arsenal have won a whopping 76 percent of the last 50 games in which he has played over 60 minutes, according to Bettorlogic.com. That’s compared to a dismal 52 percent without him.
It was clear while Bendtner was out that we were missing his ability to hold up the ball and compete physically against defenders
No Gallas for next week either. A rested Campbell might do well against Cole.
Evening all!
Interesting we’ve got Obi one comment on the scene giving shit to fans who’ve been posting for a while.
Where were you when we were playing poorly I ask?!
Amazing result today! I’ll share all tomorrow… needless to say, a great night to be a gooner a greater night to be an NBAS!
Pat, great stat…
Campbell does highlight that we have been missing a brute back there to rough up the opposition attackers a bit.
i dont think bendtner is good enough just yet to be responsible for us winning all those games. stats can be manipulated… (lets not get carried away, lets just let him get on with it)
he has massive massive potential tho and if he doesnt turn into one of the top strikers in the world i will say sorry to this obi guy. (not going to happen)
incesc. A fair point that those stats mean relatively little, but you must admit having watched the games, that he does offer us something which nobody else can
what does everyone think about the spurs game?
they have hit some form.
Bloody hell. I waited for the Doncaster highlights on MOTD and right when the replay comes up, they say “Arsenal loanee Jay Emmanuel Thomas…” it shuts off!
FFS!!!
Does anyone have a link to his goal?
wat a huge huge win
biggest goal of our season and of nikis career
denilson apart from his part in the goal, was shocking as always, he just aint good enough
nasri played like he was a few weeks ago, diaby was also poor, song and cesc are both vital and will be vital for rest of season
come on the gooners
if spurs beat fulham in fa cup, then our game gets put back till 2nd from last game of season
Absolute belter Pat! Think Anelka against us when playing for Bolton a few years ago, but other side of the pitch.
Mark… thought Diaby was great again… Nasri was weak as was Denilson…
I thought Denilson was better than he has been since Aston Villa away.
He actually had some superb interceptions, but he kept giving the ball away cheaply and I don’t like his work rate, or lack of it rather.
A few times the camera zoomed to where the ball was supposed to be, but Denilson cut it out. If only he had the physical presence and/or speed…
pedro
whats an NBAS?
HB
I have always liked Bendtner but just cos of the spurs goal. He clearly is clumsy and misses loads of chances right now but he also gets into the box time and time again and has so much potential its scary. If he scored all the chances he gets he would be the best striker in the world and hes 22. If he starts scoring 75% of his chances we have a top player on our hands. Big if…
JET scored a cracker today
Pedro I thought Diaby was very poor today, looked exhausted, but, same as Nasri, and Denilson first half, though he improved alot second half.
Overally we looked tired, pitch was absolutely terrible, and we didn’t click, but a win is a win!
Playing on a pitch like that would also add to the tiredness alot, everyone on both sides looked knackered in the second half
Thought Diaby got worse as the game wore on, but he was still better than he has been last season so it shows how much we’ve come to expect of him.
incesc there isn’t a player in the world who scores 75% of his chances!
I can’t see Bendtner ever being THAT prolific, though he offers so much more imo he’ll be a top player without scoring as many goals as some.
ok diaby wasnt poor, but he has been playing alot better,
my last post wasnt clear, i thought nasri was poor and wenger was right to replace
has denilson ever had a man of the match performance, will he ever
there was one time where denilson got skinned and just jogged back, same as he did at stoke away in fa cup and against united for sidibi and rooney goals
i really dislike that guy, the least he should be doing is busting a gut,
A, we can all divide players up as we please… but, like you said… a win is a win.
Fucking magic is all I can say.
That Nik finish was fantastic…
I think it’s weak how many people caved before the final whistle had blown… like some have so much ego tied up in this year that they’d rather us lose.
szczesny had a bit of a mare for brentford….
Very true Pedro, fantastic and very important goal, and result.
Just need to keep going now! Stoke and Hull were both potential banana skins, and we got through both of them nicely.
Yeah I agree, it’s pretty embarrassing some gooners nowadays, they were so adament that wenger was absolutely wrong in the decisions he’s made, that they’d sooner see us lose, than see us win and be proved wrong.
Today was a tough game, tough conditions, and a real battle, but we came through it with the three points, which is ultimately all that matters!
“I think it’s weak how many people caved before the final whistle had blown… like some have so much ego tied up in this year that they’d rather us lose.”
Geoff “caved” massively.
I know i got vey negative but come on, we only comment on what we see. its been a season of ups and downs and suddenly evey game is massive. today it felt a bit like not all the players were up for it.
With you all the way A… a beast of a game and we won.
If we’d lost… the knives and the ‘I told you so’s’ would have been out in force.
For me… saying we wont win anything is the easiest assessment in the world… backing the team isn’t.
I’d rather back us and look like an idiot than thrive off losing and be right…
All I asked for at the start of the year was a competitive team… and we’ve got one… pleased as anything.
Still, there will be moans about today regardless…
Incesc… I never cave til’ it’s over.
… the players weren’t up for it?
We dominated the whole game start to finish!
spot on
we all need to be pulling in same direction, yes wenger did make mistakes in transfer window, but its to late to change, and all that matters is results, and we are in a title race, we as fans can make a difference both home and away, im not worried by our away support, its always spot on, its the home games, and when things aint going to plan to many fans turn and it makes it a nervous atmosphere and it does get to the players
6 wins on the trot in the league and we could be going to white hart lane needing a win to …. u know what i mean
get a hard on just thinking about it
Didn’t feel like that to me at all incesc. Things weren’t going our way, but you just had to look at the players’ reaction at the final whistle to see how much it meant to all of them.
Just because we aren’t playing well, doesn’t mean everyone is therefore not good enough, and the players don’t care….
Emotions obviously run high though, it’s just that some are less able to control them and maintain rational thought than others, especially when the emotion is of the negative variety!
I think the most impressive thing is that we are still challenging even in the absence of our first choice striker, and now without our first choice centre back and our captain, who any pundit would tell you, we cannot win without.
It just shows that we have much better depth than we had before, and it has shown.
geoff says:
“So this team of superstars can’t beat a shit side with ten men that are going down, some mental strength.”
He only said that cos he cares, we are all desperate to win the league. Lets not say its egos tied up in wanting us to lose.
oh yeah
lets try not to all leave 5 mins before half time and 10 mins before the end, unless we are 3-4 goals up that is
“We dominated the whole game start to finish!”
haha
fuck it we won
haha
seriously?
Yep, agree with all that Pedro!
There will still be some come the end of the season, and I’ve already heard some, who will be pissed off if we win the title, because they’ll say it’ll mean Wenger doesn’t spend as much money!
It’s like they’ve become totally brainwashed by consumer society to such an extent, that the purpose of buying isn’t to increase the chances of winning, but buying by itself is the be all and end all!
You reckon we didn’t dominate incesc?!
I really do wonder about people sometimes….
Did they have a single shot on target apart from the offside penalty?
Incesc, I’m not saying people don’t care… all I’m saying is this attitude that the players don’t care… or that each game is a piece of piss is rubbish.
Every game is really hard… every game is potential fuck up… and if we lose one, no one is right or wrong and we should be pleased because at least we’ve competed till the end this year.
Incesc… I can’t remember Big Al making a save… they weren’t in it at all.
I think that’s the thing that people overlook most Pedro. Just because the sides are bottom of the table, people think they should be a guaranteed three points. But these are still professionals who are capable of getting a result on any given day. Football is not an exact science. There are so many factors to take into consideration.
HB yeah our depth is very impressive going forward. Even with VP, Cesc, Rosicky out, we still have the creativity and offensive ability of Bendtner, Arshavin, Nasri, Diaby, and Eduardo and Theo on the bench.
Though an injury to Vermy/Sol or Song/Denilson and we’d be in trouble!
maybe we are arguing about different things pedro.
i do get what you are saying about the “i told you so” guys.
im not one of those.
i just think we played shit and were lucky to win. I I dont subscribe to we lost to man u and chelscum so we arent good enough to win the league. Im so up for this i take every gamelike a cup final. I have put a bit of money on us winning the league, i cant fucking wait.
A. Yeah that’s true. I really hope that doesn’t happen. Vermaelen seems to be a warrior though, he’s kept playing his heart out for the entire season and shows no signs of stopping.
I’d obviously be a bit concerned about Sol

Positive thoughts..positive thoughts….Bendtner assist and winner..
______________________
2nd match running i got a prediction spot on after i predicted Bendtners hattrick midweek. I should make a habit of it..
Incesc… today wasn’t great… but tell me a team that wins the league in full style?
Man U pride themselves on late wins…
HB… totally with you there… I think some people build up the easy games as givens so they can slate the team regardless.
A win is regarded as a given… and unless it’s a 4-0 win in the first ten… it’s a shite result.
“Every game is really hard… every game is potential fuck up… and if we lose one, no one is right or wrong and we should be pleased because at least we’ve competed till the end this year.”
my only problem is i see more application against porto at home from us than i see against Hull away. Not sure why anyone looked tired today…
I don’t think I saw more application at Porto… all I saw is a a well organised team versus a team who tried to play football against us.
Because they played their third game in a week, on a terrible, boggy pitch, and even with us battering Porto, and occasion like that will take a fair bit out of you….
Hull’s players looked knackered even before they went down to ten men, and it was like a cup final for them!
Seriously did you not see the players’ reactions at the final whistle?! How anyone could say that there is a lack of application is just beyond me….
You’re spot on there Pedro. I don’t know why so many people love to slate the team so vehemently.
Don’t get me wrong i’ve shouted every name under the sun at each and every one of our players before now. But in the cold light of day, it is better to remain objective, and anyone can see that we have quite a strong side which is constantly improving.
We looked more up for Porto because we knew they would try make a game of it and we could pick them apart.
Hull just basically set out to stiffle our attack and force our defence into a mistake. It worked to a certain degree and they got a lot of help from another shit ref.
I try to justify my negativity by thinking If i dont get my hopes up then i would be AS disappointed if we dont win. Its not the right attitide i know but i just cant help it.
The only player who shouldn’t be playing at the moment is Denilson… but who else is there?
No one…
I don’t agree that we were lucky in any way though. Both Nik B, and Shavin missed sitters and we should have been well ahead before it even came close to injury time.
We just did what United are constantly praised for. Kept going till the end and forced a winner. Say what you like about United, but they have shown what it takes to win.. Now it’s our turn again
Noone going to congratulate me on my successful prediction. Fine, dont so!
so what is up with vela cant still be jet lagged?
maybe what franchise said about him being a party boy is true
ok of application is unfair.
maybe i am selfish
i just dont want to wait till the 93rd minute. i cant take the tension.
im not trying to put down a hard fought away win. but i think you would both admit we could play alot better and if we want to win the league we have to play our very best every game. Its a fine line.
A very very fine line.
Bendtner misses we are out of it.
Don’t wanna jinx it Stu.. Just keep doin’ your thang haha
ok lack of…
I suppose thats fair enough HB..
mike vela limped off injured in that mexico game, obviously still feeling it.
Incesc, ManU score in the 93rd min and they’re an amazing team… we score in the 93rd min and we played bad and we shouldn’t have left it that late.
That’s my point…
Precisely Pedro.. Too many Gooners show less consideration to our players than they do to the enemy. It is disconcerting sometimes.
Anyway… all my thoughts tomorrow!
Have a grand one!
yes pedro,
its pretty clear we dont like British tactics , its a shame we play in a British League
i think i was too rash in thinking too much had changed ..
Nik b is definitely more eager .
and AA23 is still our only creative spark who can be relied upon ..
a better team yesterday would of ate us for breakfast ..
playing games isnt an issue ..
if you cant play football like everyone else
or blame fixture congestion for reasons to play poorly then your fuckin delusional …
quality is the issue !
was before the porto game , and is after it …
what we saw midweek was wengers inspiring the team .. more so than a step up in class ..
cause it was more or less back to normal last night .
but we are still in it .. and can win 90% of the rest of our fixtures with ease ..
as much as id hate to win the League and beat no big boys along the way this season ,..
id take it anyway
oh i thought they said he was out of contention for porto because of all the travelling to new zealand had left him zapped.
Did you all see the shambolic defending by West ham for all of Chavskis goals? Why do things never happen like that for us? 2 Spector mistakes and some shocking defending to let JT run 35 yards unchallenged for drogshits first…
I never mentioned man u
i dont care about them.
But yeah i agree we did win, last minute and whisper it “we can win the league”.
haha
but we didnt play well today and we can play a lot better. Surely you can see that? we have a lot more potential than scraping a win v 10 men hull.
no way anyone can blame the amount of games played , i mean how long have we been invited to the C.L ??
Surely if you play in that comp you need a bit more quality (in the squad )… If you cant factor that in after 12 years what fucking hope have you got ?
mike that’s what Wenger said in the press conference, but it was on the thursday before wenger had seen vela, and just a few hours after the game itself! Vela limped off injured late on in that game, so gotta assume that that injury is the reason he wasn’t even in the squad today.
He REALLY should retire from international football just for a little while after the world cup if he really wants to establish himself with us….
Stu to be fair Porto gifted us a few chances with ridiculous defending! Let’s hope West Ham repeat those sorts of lapses in a week’s time too.
“as much as id hate to win the League and beat no big boys along the way this season ,..
id take it anyway
”
hey?
what you on about
lol
we beat spurs, they are big… oh yeah!
incesc. I wasn’t referring to you I just mean our support base in general is sometimes too quick to spit it’s collective dummy out. Probably the same is true of all team’s fans though.
And yes we could definitely play better, but we played a phhysical side, away from home, fighting to stay in the prem, and we have 4 first teamers out. I think that collecting three points here, was a great achievement
incesc today certainly wasn’t an entertaining game, but you have to realise that most teams have gone to Hull and struggled this season, it really isn’t an easy place to go….
We are only the 4th team of of the 14 who have gone there to come away with 3 points, and their last two home games before us they beat City, and held Chelsea to a draw….
Not just any 4 first teamers either Bill. Missing our spine AND one of our most experienced and creative players. Gallas, Song, Cesc, Rosicky and Van Persie.
Take the equivilant away from any other team and they would struggle against anyone.
