I love you Theo, but at this rate, you won’t be on the bus, maybe today?

by & filed under Uncategorized.

Even after Theo Walcott’s stop start season, I have been backing him wholeheartedly as I have always believed he will be an England and Arsenal legend one day.

He has been injury plagued since his arrival and as you know, I put a lot of that down to a slight frame, still growing and playing against big boys. The same happened to Owen and look at him him, but many people say it didn’t happen to Rooney, however, he was and is a big lump so getting kicked wouldn’t affect him.

I think Theo needs to start improving ot he will miss the bus to South Africa, he has had the ability to shoot taken out of him, it seems to be an Arsenal trait, don’t you dare shoot, pass.

When Theo was at Southampton he shot quicker than he could think, that was his trademark, as was Nasri’s and Arshavin’s, the Arsenal way is stopping Theo from becoming a legend, he’s played out of position and doesn’t shoot anymore.

If he goes with England it will be as a winger, so it will be two of Phillips, Lennon, Beckham or Theo. Theo son, get your dribbling and shooting boots back on, today would be a good time, easy opposition, Aaron to be avenged, points to be won and Capello to impress.

Diaby is back today and so I expect is the hapless Denilson, shame, I would give Eastmond a go or even experiment with Vermaelen. Whatever happens I would play Campbell at the back, I think he will only get fitter and stronger.

I’m going for a big score today and hope that we see Bendtner continuing to improve, Arshavin to partner him up front with Theo out wide is my guess.

Almunia

Eboue Campbell Vermaelen Clichy

Rosicky Cesc Diaby

Walcott Bendtner Arshavin

So no predicting as usual but I see us scoring 4 more than them.

So we are being linked with German midfielder Ozil, good player, but he’s in the Cesc mould isn’t he? So do we need him, or is something happening we don’t know about?

I’ll sign off now, but before I do, spare a thought for Shaun Wright-Phillips, can you image having a step dad like Ian Wright? His boy doesn’t get picked so he’s now added Mancini to the list of managers he’s had a go at, Sven, McClaren, 3 chavs managers and Capello, Ian, do you not think there is a common denominator? It’s you, or it’s Shaun, they can’t all be wrong!

Have a great weekend Grovers, this is me signing off.

Anyone visiting this country and using the Piccadily line from Heathrow would probably never come to England again, fucking nightmare.

  2. TonyS

Just back from the game. That is the Theo that we have all been waiting for. I really don’t know what to say about Super-Nic except that he DOES work hard. Nasri was brilliant too.

    THEO THEO THEO

  3. petrovic

blimey,i can`t beiieve how many people on here are backing bendtner .he is not and never will be good enough to play for arsenal,i`ve stated on here many times that he needs 10 gilt edged chances to score one or as in todays case none.with the amount of chances that the side create someone like zamora would slaughter bendtners tally ffs!

  4. GoonerT1m

yeah but there is nothing we can do about it now is there, what’s the point in getting on his back before we get a better striker in the window!

  5. Stu

Just saw the burnley goal again. Whatever about the awful defending but what was Almunia doing? He was in no mans land for the shot and only dived after it was in the net. And for some reason he is unable to straighten his arm.

  6. GoonerT1m

almunia, sylvester, denilson…quite a scary combo…we got away with it tho!!!..rosicky, theo, cesc, nasri , diaby were the dif today !!..we need the injured players back asap!!!

  7. paul

petrovic it’s what supporters do,the crowd were really trying to help him.It was just one of those days he tried hard.

  8. Stu

Wenger said Cesc is a doubt for Porto..

IM hoping it was just a tweek and not a pull. He was still running even after he told the bench and before he scored his goal.

  9. Mr B

Speaking of Al, He’s just not good enough on so many levels. He should have tried to close down the scorer, hurry him or close down the angle. Its a joke realy.

  10. Stu

I fucking tell ye! Wolves are a fucking joke! Missed more chances than Bendtner and gave away a shit goal and totally went to shit defensively in the second half.

That Diouf fucker for United is SHIT as well.

    CUNTSSSS!!!!

  11. hitman

We musnt be too harsh on NickyB. He had a very bad day at the office. BUT he gives us good shape and balance to the team. Something we have missed after RVP’s injury. We also look a better organised side with an orthodox centre forward. You cannot under estimate how important these things are.
Its also no coincidence that our crossing has improved
having a proper centre forward in the box. Just look at Nasri & Theo and even Clichy’s crossing today.
Finally, I know he missed a hatful but at least he was there in the right place. Where a striker should be. The goals will come. Just thing of all those games where the 18 yrd box has been devoid of Arsenal players. You got to have some one in there to score the goals. He also gives the oppositon defenders plenty to think about

  12. Stu

Well said Hitman. When Bendtner went off our attackig threat disappeared. Regardless of his awful misses he was vital to our attacks today. Even got an assist for Theos’ goal.

Jensen must have a spell over Bendtner because no matter what he just cant score against him.

  13. Stu

E12, none of those are realistic though. At least 3 of them would cost 20m+ and Tasci probably wont want to leave germany for the time being…

Also disappointed a bit that you could name a DM you want. Take a risk and say who you want.

  14. Mr B

I think its best to support Nikky. Shit happens and the misses were close misses not like he was hitting row Z.

  15. Stu

LOL!! Just switched on the Roma-Milan match and straight away Ronaldinho did a bit of skill and made shit of the defender and the Italian commentator just squeeled(sp) like a pig. It was fucking hillarious!!!

  16. zeus

Fab4 with hamstring problem. I say have him on the bench v Porto and if needed hope he has another Villa effect.

Otherwise DONT play him at all. If our other boys like Nasri Arsha and Rosicky can’t win against a beatable Porto side at home they should be whipped.

Hull is all I’m worried about for now. Its sticky but we will defn need Sol for both Porto AND HULL.

What gets me most pissed off about Bendtner is that he comes off laughing. No! Sit in it, be pissed off and come back better. Your nonchalant attitude excuses the fact that you were shit today and that is unacceptable, he should be harder on himself.

  19. ritesh

Looking at the Spanish matches, at least there the refs are OK. You have commitment but see a good match, not butchers

  20. Baxter Wall

You probably didn’t see it on tv Stonroy but Nik was laughing ironically, not because he was pleased at the misses. He made a gesture to the fans behind the bench sort of like an arms raised to the heavens like “what the fuck was that?” He couldn’t believe the ball hadn’t gone in.

I thought he had such a good game…if he;d taken that first chance he’d have scored five…it was that sort of day. Sometimes you just have to shrug and say fate had other plans.

The whole team was superb today.

  21. zeus

    @ Stonroy,

When things like that happen you have to laugh sometimes. He could have had 6 goals and he missed them all. I’m sure on the inside he is gutted and a little embarrassed. If he didn’t have a chuckle, then we might have heard that he hung himself 2mrw morning.

    @ ritesh

Denilson DID NOT PLAY WELL. I don’t want to get on anyones case especially after a win, but I am constantly amazed at his lack of effort, especially when he is the one that lost possession, to get back and defend.

  22. zeus

    @ David

I understand your frustration on Bendtner. We both hold the same point of view of the player. But please keep in mind HE IS ALL WE HAVE FOR CF AT THE MOMENT.

Do you want Eddie there? Arshavin? I think not. So lets send some positive vibes his way, cuz if 2day was anything to go by, he is surely gonna need it.

  23. sixx pac

has anyone seen the shake weight commercial. Its a dumbell that vibrates in your hand and gives you toned arms(so they say). If ya havent seen it check it out on youtube and tell me which perverted bastard made it. Oh the one i saw was ‘just for women’

  24. David

The shakeweight thing is hilarious…Theyve taken it down on regular TV over here…but the one for women is just soo funny..and they manage a smile with the dumbbells straight to their mouf!

  25. David

    Sorry Stu

    I couldnt resist ;)

re: Bendy fucking up and then smiling at the End.

How you people can come on here and defend that kind of Atrocious performance is just shocking.

He’s “all we have” whose fucking fault is that?

At least he can have a laugh about it and isnt letting his head drop. FUcking legend!

    ———

Clear we all make excuses but who’s going to be honest and say that Bendy is just fucking shite?

  26. ethangunner

    davo

Nik B will be far a far better prospect than ade .
David you have to take his age into consideration, not only experience . Nik B showed much more intelligence than Ade ever did and displays much more team work and brings people into play , in short he compliments the Arsenal game ..

ok he cant hit a fat girls ass with a cricket bat
but then neither could ade and he had considerable more experience and still missed sitters constantly . and more importantly was 6 years younger than ade in comparison .

people will invest in you if you career is going upward ,if they see you improving ,
ade was only regressing .. on and off the pitch .

putting rest to the adage that players DONT ALWAYS CONTINUE TO GET BETTER !

what is bitchslap doing these days ?

    :)

(PS Dave, i do concur nik b is still not perfect !!
and we were playing burnley too ! so we shouldn’t read into it much , as long as he looks confident and doesnt drop his head
he always has a chance of scoring .. )

  27. ethangunner

nik b has came thru the past 2 games scoring on tougher sides , as pathetically frustrating as it was to witness him last night constantly fluff it.

at least he is fluffing it :)

    id admire his intent ,
and he still has the presence of mind to pass off if need be ..
and confidence to pull the trigger …

    yes im liking it !!!

Nik B can be better than RVP , i just hope he doesnt take too much longer to get up to pace ,
he wouldnt be my 1st choice against a top 4 side ..

but considering how dudu has failed and has no excuses ,as he has the experience .. you just have to say as i thought pre – season it was , his career with us is over …

not the best striker in the league :)

  28. David

    Ethan

I think both of us were in agreement that Ade needed to go…but for a better STRIKER!

IF we were going to sell him…it wasnt so we could stick with Pink Boots!!

  29. zeus

We are in complete David. But I’m not about to focus my enegy into slating Wenger for having faith in a striker that misses 6 chances in a game. Even Ade scores 1 in 4.

Were right in it now, slating the danish shite won’t help.

  30. David

    Zeus

Its just frustrating…because we saw this coming last summer when Ade and Kolo were sold.

How do you keep supporting someone who just fucks up?

I mean I am very proud of them boys they played magnificent…Theo especially after getting so much stick from some certain people on here…Denilson in the team was like playing with 10 men…

Its not that the results wouldve changed anything that Utd won..but can you honestly say to yourself that Bendy’s improving?

  31. ethangunner

sure davo , but you know thats the problem with wenger .. MONEY SPENDING ..

he would rather see his barron trees bare fruit
    or die trying …

  32. Swed

The problem with cesc injury is that we will not know anything about it before Tuesday 20:45 (Swedish time). But we will definitely know what AW priority most: CL or PL!

  33. zeus

Bendtner may, MAY, become an average-ish player at best.
But keep your eye on the prize David.

We have a title to win. We can slate Wenger later

  34. Stu

Re: David A22:48. No need to apologise David. In fact its me who is feeling sorry. Sorry for you that you had nothing better to do than to do back through a year worth of comments just to make me look bad when in all honesty i couldnt give a shit because i hate Adebayor and love Bendtner.

However, i will defend myself by saying this. Although i dont remember what match or why i said that i can assure myself it was with good reason that i had that outburst against Ade because he was supposedly a world class striker while Bendtner is still young enough and good enough in aspects other than scoring to justify me defending him when he is at his worst in terms of finishing.
ALSO when Bendtner missed sitter after sitter today i was impressed that he kept going and kept asking for the ball instead of hiding out on the wing. Plus we were winning during Bendtners misses and i am confident we werent in such a comfortable position during Ades misses.

And having just checked Ades missed chance(s) was against Unites in the CL semi final so im sure i wasnt the only one bemoaning his shitness, especially in such an important match.

  35. Kreshnik

guys … I really am not a moaner and I don’t slag off just for the sake of it … but can someone tell me just why … and why is Denilson playing instead of Eastmond. ???

  36. ethangunner

    yes Zeus ,

support the team as they are worthy of a sniff NOW !, so they are worthy of support … for the moment !

but in the summer wenger still needs to address several key issues .. …

    sagna for eboue ?
    almunia /keeper
striker / the top shelf kind
permanent homes for diaby – song – denilson etc.
    secure cesc …

get rid of a few , dudu ?

  37. ethangunner

stu , even nik.b’s offsides were debatable .
he has far more positional sense than ade ever had , and at that age
he still has room to grow …

id never write a player that young off ..

i suppose the question is , how much time he needs to develop ,that will be the test of if he is successful or not .

  38. nishanth

How fucking lucky are man u?Burnley get 1 chance against us and they score and wolves got soo many fucking chances.Useless cunts!!

  39. nishanth

The most disappointing aspect of Bendtner’s finishing yesterday was that he didn’t even test the keeper.Still think he will come good though

  40. gnarleygeorge9

Arsenal played through Theo & boy did he shine. Well taken goal, & his balls into the box were great as well.
