Finally… our very own kit launch + something special for Rambo!

by & filed under Uncategorized.

So, after a calamitous morning of launch day madness, I bring to you… the Le Grove range.

I’ve been working closely with a t-shirt design company called TattyNutNut and they’ve pulled out all the stops to bring you some pretty special looking t-shirts.

CLICK THE IMAGE OF THE SHIRT YOU LIKE TO TAKE YOU TO THE TATTY SITE FOR PURCHASE

Do it for Rambo!

We thought the above design would be a nice touch an hopefully a memento of our first league title in 6 years.

Le Grove

This is our basic design. We wanted to create something subtle that was stylish and combined your love for the club and your affiliation to the site.

Marmite

After sifting through the sites comments, it was clear the most talked about topic on Le Grove and the blogosphere were the merits of the 4 players above. The term ‘Marmites’ was coined by the site and entered into the Gooner Glossary. I asked Tatty to mock up a shirt in celebration of the players! I think, like your kids, they may irritate you, but at the end of the day, they’re all gooners and deep down, you know you love them!

The Verminator

This shirt doesn’t need much explaining. I asked for a design to represent the character of Vermaelen and I think I’ve got it! A leader, blood, guts and thunder… a power house of a man… future Gunners legend!

So, now to the boring stuff. All the shirts will be printed up on American Apparel cotton t-shirts. If you’ve never heard of the brand, trust me, they are the best on the market. Their fit is quite standard, but figure hugging, so err on the side of caution if you like your T’s to hang a bit!

The printing company that we’re using are tried and tested, so the shirts have lastability. The shirts will out wear most high street brands you’d buy and will certainly dwarf the quality of other Arsenal t-shirt on the market.

All cost £15.99 and the postage varies depending on where you are in the world, but it shouldn’t be more than a fiver! I will have the stock in by next week, so we will have the first orders out by next Thursday.

Anyway, that’s me done. I hope you like them and I hope you purchase one!

Your support will be appreciated!

So, where were we? Ah, Theo…

how is that the same argument in the slightest gambon?!

away from home is very different to home….

Burnley have a good home record, and an absolutely terrible away record.

we have a very good home record, and havn’t dropped a point to anyone in the bottom half of the table at home

Chelsea have a bad away record recently, regardless of the opposition, and have tough opposition coming up….

  2. gambon

    Baxter

I think we bought him way too soon, and i dont think he’s anywhere near an Arsenal player.

If we had scouted him up to the age of 18-19 we never wouldve bought him, but Arsene will never admit defeat on him.

    Nice guy though.

  3. A

I’m not trying to manipulate anything either!

I believe what I believe, BECAUSE of analysing the results and fixtures, I didn’t believe it before, and therefore tried to manipulate them to back me up!

If the fixtures and results weren’t as they are, then I wouldn’t believe what I believe….

  4. Confidentgoner

Daiby coming back from injury will be effective for 6omins. After that bring on Eastmond,he could do a job in midfield.

  5. A

    how Pedro?!

we have good home form, burnley have bad away form, therefore we SHOULD beat burnley going on form.

chelsea have bad away form, and have tough matches away from home, therefore SHOULD drop points.

burnley held us at home, where they have good home form, and we have bad away form.

  6. Pedro

A, did I tell you about the IT guy who quit my company because he manipulated some algorithams from our autoplanning software… and used them to study the form guides and automatically place bets on horses that would lose.

    He’s earned 75k in 6months…

You could be the human version of his machine if you worked hard at it.

  7. Pat

Do you not remember ManUtd-Burnley at OT? Burnley deserved something from that game.

Don’t let their away form fool you. They’ll fight, but I expect the floodgates to open if we score first and early.

  8. Pedro

I think with a top team it’s very difficult to say that because their form away from home has been poor, they’ll drop points in all their remaining games.

Just like it would be hard to tell me we’ll lose to Spurs and City because we flunk the big games…

  9. Pedro

Pat, I remember we argued about Egypt a few months ago and I told you we’d easily beat them.

Well… 3-1 was pretty convincing, but they were better than I thought.

  10. A

You didn’t Pedro, that was a bit silly of him, betting on horses isn’t the same as football though!

Have you seen the simpsons where Lisa becomes very good at picking winners in American Football games, and Homer wins loads of money – there you go, proof it can be done….

what do you mean choy? Burnley have by far the worst away record in the league

  11. gambon

    A

Lets get it right, i obviously think we’ll beat Burnley with ease, and i think we have a very good shot at the league.

But i find it hard to believe Chelsea will drop lots of vital away points after seeing them crush us earlier in the season. Yes theyve dropped some away points but we have at Burnley & Sunderland & city crushed us. Also we have a GD disadvantage, and lets not forget UTD, who have been there and done it, we are a team that collapse under the slightest pressure.

When Chelsea go into these games against Liverpool, Blackburn & Spurs they are still the better team, and in a crunch game they could easily win.

  12. Pedro

A… he’s not silly, he’s winning upwards of 2k a day placing 300 auto bets!

He’s configuring the system to play the stock market and football…

    He makes me sick..

  13. A

Pedro that’s what people said a month ago, and chelsea have continued to drop points away from home. I’m not saying that they WILL, but they certainly could, and WOULD going on form. If they win all of them I’ll be surprised, and they’ll deserve to win the league!

City at home I don’t agree with, it isn’t that much of a big game, it’s only been Utd and Chelsea we’ve flunked against, and Everton in the blizzard with Denilson’s injuries. We beat Liverpool and Villa.

That won’t be a gimme though, we could draw it certainly. Same with Spuds away, those two, Hull and Brum away are the toughies we have left. The rest should be relatively straight forward

  14. AA23

I’d playe Diaby, AA23 and anyone else who’s returing Against Burnley, its a good run out.
fuck all this saving players shit, play the cunts.
    That’s what I said.

  15. Pat

Pedro, I was going to bring that up yesterday after 60 minutes, but I forgot who I argued with.

Told you they’re good and I don’t change my stance on that.

  16. A

Oh yeah Pedro, I misread totally, I thought you said he’d lost £75k!! Not earned!

Can’t he just give you a copy of it?!

  17. AA23

Gambon loves the Chavs. He’s always bigging them up on here.
    Gambon is a chav
    Gambon is a chav
    La la la la
    La la la la

  18. A

gambon chelsea have had alot of big away games, and flunked alot of them.

I don’t expect Chelsea to fail to win every away game, but I certainly expect them to drop enough points in those four games for us to win the league, unless we fuck up in our four tough games

  19. Pedro

A, this guy is so boring he doesn’t deserve money… he drives a renault scenic… yet has no kids.

    Gambon… earning 75k in 6 months from a machine… that ain’t childs play!

I’m sure you could work out a formula for the stock exchange… there are patterns with everything if you’ve got the brain to work them out.

    Me… I can’t even do soduku. It’s a gay game anyway…

  20. gambon

    Pedro

75k in 6 months is good as private income.

As for the stock exchange believe me its harder than it looks. It can be done, but consistently youre talking about a handful of hedge funds & investment banks that can do it year on year.

  21. Baxter Wall

I think Theo is young and has been injured an awful lot Pedro. Wouldn’t want to put money on him making it but he has had moments where i’ve thought he has something…

Strangly i’m not sure he’s suited to Arsenal…teams play deep against us so there is no room for him to get in behind…in a team that opponents dont set up so defensively against he could be really good.

One thing i’m sure of though is that if fans got on his back he’d go to pieces. He needs confidence and for that reason he’s exactly the sort of player we should be supporting rather than tearing down.

    what about you Pedro?

  22. AA23

It dont get no more loving that my chav mum giving gambon one up the gary.
But I see your point Pedro.
I was only messing with the Gambster anyway.

  23. gambon

    A

    I said away.

Identical records, so if history is anything to go by we will end up with identical away points to them this year.

  24. A

That isn’t the case though gambon, because you have to consider the games between us and them.

so our away form not against each other, is actually 3 points better than them

  25. gambon

Yeah but if they can beat us at home they can easily beat Blackburn & Spurs away.

I dont disagree with what youre saying, just the reasoning.

  26. goonermichael

gambon. thay should easily beat Everton if that’s the case. We turn into pussies when we play the chavs and mancs though.

  27. A

We’re a weird team though gambon, and that’s a big game. Big games can generally go either way, although with us, we just lost wherever we were playing.

This season we’ve lost to Utd, City, Chelsea away from home.

Drawn with Villa, West Ham, Burnley, and lost to Sunderland

Sunderland is the only weird one there, because we lost, the other three losses were against teams with the best home records, and the draws were against teams who also had good home records. We’ve actually been pretty predictable this year, consistent, whereas chelsea have been pretty hit and miss

  28. leon

i dont think chelsea i that strong mentaly if you look at there squad out use manu and chelsea chelsea have by far the better squad but they have given there point advantege several times and i know with the way they are playing right now plus there top keeper is out tother with very tough fixures there are bound to drop points as willmanu but the difference i feel manu are very strong mentaly and also if rooney stays fit there are very strong.but i think with fixtures we have there is every chance we can win the prem

  29. A

Away from home Chelsea have lost to wigan, villa, and city, everton and drawn with west ham, brum, hull.

we still have to play hull, spuds, brum, wigan, blackburn

they still have to play blackburn, pompey, utd, spuds, liverpool

i would EXPECT us to finish the season with more points than them from those games, though obviously it isn’t guaranteed.

  30. gambon

I just think its way too close for anyone to call without having an agenda either way.

    - We have the easiest run in, but are poor defensively and prone to collapsing under pressure.

    - Chelsea have the hardest run in but are the best team in the league if everyones at their best

    - Utd are in the middle but more capable than anyone of stringing 10 wins together.

Everyone will drop points, but the way its set up is actually perfect. If we all had 61 points it would be clear we are favourites.

  31. Kreshnik

Pedro please hold on to those tickets till tomorrow. I will give u a definite answer tomorrow. I’m probably changing my trip from the 22 to april 1st. If I do find reasonable flight tickets for the 1st then, it’s LONDON baby, otherwise, fuck it … wasn’t meant to be.

  32. LAzer

I don’t know how so many can sit back and say with confidence we will win it. I am not celebrating till the proverbial fat lady is doing her jig on the stage, we have been through way too much already to have our expectations high with over confidence right now.

I just want a win on Saturday, step by step, like those new kids said. :-)

And that folks will be the last referance to those particular individuals forever on le grove from here on out…

if America initiate a nuclear war , i guess its fare to say they started it !

dont shoot the messenger A and keyser are a bunch of pragmatic prats ..

oh dont sink to his level keyser he was only trying to mock me :)

    …get a room :)

  34. ethangunner

    call yourself men..
you cant handle a bit of banter and oohhhh SWEAR WORDS …

swear words are for the uneducated :)
(or people associated with the building industry)

well statements like every player improves is just as stupid .. its not always the case and i was just trying to prove how much you generalize and make plenty of false statements in the bargain …

youve had no problems in making yourself look stupid with plenty of loose statements up until now .. so dont let me stop you A ..

at least i talk football and not trash keyser .
(unless you dish it out to me 1st of course !)
you get personal , the proofs above for all to see ..

i was just knocking the piss out of A’s statement not attacking his character !
initally.. but you made it personal because A’s your little bitch :)

but of course Keyser dont stoop to my level !
oh not thats right… your well past my level ..

  35. ethangunner

    A Says:

Ethan just because they’ll all improve doesn’t mean they’re going to improve to be good enough for us….

    —————–
so what your saying is then …
    they WONT improve !??
we are arsenal aren’t we ?

SO THEN WHY SAY EVERYONE GETS BETTER FFS ?!
what a plonker you are !

for some of these kids who ALWAYS improve :) ,..
this MIGHT be the Greatest level of football they EVER attain again ! … (RE:- all of them who have been sold in the past)

some might sign for lower end EPL clubs or championship clubs ..

and never get to ARSENALS LEVEL again ..
and it has been the case MANY times over the past 6 / 7 years ..
only cesc and clichy has made it what happened to all the others who only improve ?? :)

total cods!! and you fuckers gave me shit last night for even trying to debate THIS with ..

    losers !

so tell me ADE got better with age ?
    or bitch slap ??? !

    is dudu or theo ???
even nasri looked better last term ..

you talk such wank on such obscure subjects its fucking tedious alright !

  36. ethangunner

So from the above A seems to think its alright to
water down the squad only because in history burnely have been crap away :)

wow i feel so much safer now playing big al and denilson !

    thanks A :)

yes silvest will save the day :) yippyy !!! !:)

    i can smell flowers :)

  37. ethangunner

the teams to fear are the lower ones when you have 10 or less games to play , they can really come at you hard and unexpectedly this time of year , anyone who watches football would concur .

a smart plan is as BR said play your strongest 11
and of course A shot him down ..

playing your strongest 11 and treat every game as a final ! we need to make up points but its far more achievable than the C.L .. so i would water down that campaign as against compromising the title race .

but you know wenger he will in this case push for the unattainable and let the attainable slip under the bridge ..

so keyser write something that heavy ..

fuck .. write something PERIOD instead of being A’s lap dog because that gets fucking tedious also !

    fuckin sheep ..

  38. A

yeah i saw that earlier nisanth, didn’t see any of the game but i don’t think i’ve ever seen a match where fletcher wasn’t a total and utter turd!

  39. A

nice clip there zeus, a pundit actually being rational about it! Pity it’d never happen over here.

Dowie though did a nice piece on ssn earlier, not got the clip, not sure if it’s on the internet, talking about tackling. Not about the Shawcross one, but talking about tackles where people say it’s 50/50, or the player got the ball etc but when they stud the ball, or scissor the player, and pointing out that if the tackler was just trying to get the ball he’d never challenge in that way.

Breath of fresh air from the usual bollocks, it’s a man’s game, passionate, committed, nice guys just mistiming tackles.

  40. zeus

    @ ethan

Thats my biggest regret too. That Wenger will compromise the league campaign for CL glory.

We don’t have the resources for the Cl simple as. I dont want to be knocked out by Porto though, that would just be embarrassing.

  41. zeus

Vela does well for Mexico yes. He needs to have a bit of bravery when he plays for us though. He shows a complete unwillingness to get into the box on a regular basis and just have a go.

I know we need width, but he is a striker not a winger. He is an Eduardo type I remember Wenger saying about him. There is a David Villa quality about him when you take his pace into consideration too. Needs to work on that right foot though.

  42. Evo in Oz

we have the bodies if they all get back fit – next round of CL is April 6/7 – Arshavin and Denilson are due back this weekend. If Gallas is fit by then too, Diaby also, and RVP around mid april, then game on for both trophies! The only 2 players that wouldnt be fit by then are Gibbs, Ramsey and Djourou – barring any fresh injuries!

  43. sixx pac

A Vela isnt injured. Just had a cramp and was taken off to avoid the risk. He should be good for the weekend

  44. zeus

    @AA23

For Mexico. He that for us has he? PLus its a general consensus that he needs to work on his right foot.

  45. ethangunner

it would be good if vela could come good now !
he really is our last chance now jacks on loan and rambo is footless !

  46. dennisdamenace

Once again i notice the same person coming on here, picking a fight, name calling et al, he has nothing constructive to say, he just teams up with his buddy to pick on one particular Griver. He then pisses off as soon as either Geoff or in this case Pedro makes an appearance.

  47. dennisdamenace

Yo SIG, i’m not gonna name names, all you have to do is look back through last night’s posts to see…..

Basically two supposed AKB’s, one with some proper, constructive arguments to be put forward, and one who’s agenda seems to be primarily pick a fight with anyone who disagrees with his mate’s AKB arguments.

  48. dennisdamenace

bnsb, we all have our own opinions or even agendas, everyone on here knows where i stand re – AKB’s, Arsene Wenger, Denilson etc etc, but i don’t bad mouth people because they have the exact opposite views to me, it might get heated, but we’re all Gooners after all. I’m not gonna give the pleb the ‘big up’ by naming him fella, because i seriously wonder if this guy is actually a Gooner, as all he seems interested in is digging out someone whenever he comes on here, so all you have to do is look back between say from around 1820 last night…..
