I know how to deal with the Delap throw…

by & filed under Uncategorized.

Keep the ball, go up the other end and score more than they do, this Delap throw really gets me, I would be more worried about facing Torres, or Rooney, suddenly the footballing world is worried about an average player being able to throw the ball into the area.

I thought having a 6’4″ keeper took care of that, or maybe a few 6’3″ defenders, move on boys and stick a few in their goal area then convert them, fight fire with fire. Maybe the manager will have a look and see if we can go out and buy some big lumps in the summer, they always used to do a job for us in the old days, maybe a re-think in defence will see us keeping more clean sheets.

This Stoke hex is becoming like the old Bolton one, this lot were the strongest favourites for years to go straight back down, now they appear to be the Wimbledon of the noughtees.

Screw them, they aren’t that good, let’s give them a lesson in football, let’s show them the Delap throw is another way of saying ‘the long ball’ and stick 4 or 5 past them.

Yesterdays post got a record number of bad comments from Arsenal knows best accountants, good to see there are seemingly more people out there that prefer a clean balance sheet to a trophy, but don’t mind spending our transfer budget on salaries, to all those people that didn’t get let on yesterday, it wasn’t because you disagreed with our take on the finances, it’s because you started your post with ‘are you mugs spuds’ and stuff like that.

Well for people that claim to be able to read a balance sheet, you are all pretty stupid to think either of us would write a blog if we supported another team.

Hey and you know what, if I didn’t like something I was reading, I would stop reading it, reading then bitching is what old ladies do.

For all you normal people out there, enjoy the day, enjoy the game and enjoy the result, because I have a feeling the balance between the poor team and the good team will be addressed today. Big win coming up, chavs to draw, us to close the gap, perfect day!

Kushagra – He’s a professional footballer, he plays in the Premiership, he’s paid thousands of pounds a week, I don’t think he mean’t to hurt him, but how stupid must you be to make a challenge like that ?!

He’s their centre-back running aimlessly 40 yards up field to do what exactly ? he didn’t get the ball, and even if he did wtf was he going to do with it jumping in like that ?!

I mean what went through his head ? Fuck that, if there’s no intent on his part, he deserves at least some of our ire for sheer stupidity.

We call our manager a cunt, we call our players cunts, and now we’re supposed to feel sorry for someone thats put one of our players out for the next year ?!

Finest: Facebook is for women, homosexuals and sicko’s. No-one else has any right to be anywhere near the place!

  3. paul

Just had a look at it.My first imprssion is that it was not that bad a tackle, both players were on their feet.Good luck Rambo you will be back, and i hope i am there for your return.

  4. Kushagra India

    Nishanth no
beacuse our players are too nimble and quick footed for these players we are sometimes too good and lower teams sometimes become ultra aggressive because we don’t have players like Viera Or parlour for tha matter any more
addon english game just supports this type of physicality

  5. SharkeySure

Yeah Sol has deffo brought something to us, he’s doing very very well.

Rambo was having a storming game today.

Fabregas – no better player in world football !!

I don’t think that we can make this good. 2 goals to score in stoke!! That is not going to happen with this inexperienced chicken!
    —————————————————–

That someone claiming to be an arsenal fan said that on an arsenal blog is a fcuking disgrace

  7. Keyser

Another thing, Song got the only yellow of the game for a challenge where he got the ball and he’s got a ban for two games now.

  8. GMR

No doubt Pulis will be moaning like a drain after such an innocent man as Shawcross was sent off. The thick northern pricks start chanting “only one Ryan Shawcross”, how mentally challenged can one set of fans be!!

  9. ikon

Kushagra, you are in a fixation of your own unable to see the difference between malice and lack of brains. If someone loses his brains for a day and kills his mate, would you term that as lack of intent(since he lost his mind, no mind no intent)?

    You need fresh perspective.

  10. nishanth

Karthik-You don’t see barcelona players getting injured in la liga do you?Opposition know that they can get away with nasty fouls against us.Remember last year steven taylor’s elbow on arshavin? He didn’t even get booked.Other teams come out and say before the match that they intend to kick us out of the park. What the fuck is that supposed to mean

  11. nishanth

If ramsey hasn’t sufferred a break the ref wouldn’t have even booked shawcross. That is where the problem lies. Our players need to get injured badly for others to get sent off

  12. finestcuts

Micky, I see FB has irked you.I do have a lot of female friends, hardly any homosexual friends and they don’t bother me (I had to delete a few valentines but they have to understand that just like theres no chance of me getting some women, theres no chance of them getting me), they know there’s about as much chance of me getting into it as them getting into pussy and stopping loving dick……sickos……yeah some people I know are mentally ill, I try to help them through their struggles if I can, they are not the evils sickos that you might see in hollywood films. Since I choose my community on there, I have no reason to be averse to it.

  13. karthik krishnan

nishant…i agree wat u saying..like for example songs booking today!!!teams tend to play agressive wid us cause tats the only way they could play agaisnt us..agressive and counter-attack…me jus talking about the tackle on ramsey…i dont see its intentional….the play was really quick…

  14. ikon

Only in PL football being a man’s game is taken as a pride, and year after year we pay the price.

Diversive attitude: Cant play footie, make it as close as Rugby.

  15. SongtheGreat

well im off…le grove has become a farse full of hare krishnan…and world lovers…no real fans…just a pit full of sissy’s…..feck off all of you….

    go support shawcross then…

  16. Keyser

It doesn’t matter if it’s intentional or not, why are you running at someone at full pace and then jumping at their legs like that ?!

Where the fuck did he learn to play like that ? What are the chances you’re going to get the ball as opposed to you hurting the person you’re tackling ?!

  17. Micky Did It 89

Finest; don’t get me wrong, and what you are implying is not what I said. I have nothing against women or gay men, although I do have major issues with sicko’s. What you said about the sicko comment posted about Rambo is the issue I have.

  18. gambon

I dont think it was malicious or an awful challenge. It was bad and at high speed, plus the leverage is what broke his leg.

Having said that you cant just miss 3 games for something like that, there has to be some additional punishment or it will keep on happening.

  19. Nick

fucking hell feal sick for ramsey the twats on sky said it was the same time two years ago with eddy the day before the micky mouse cup final. Any news on the injury the photos seam to suggest it’s a clean break to the leg

  20. ikon

Enough about Shawcross. he should be fucking banned for one season at least.
And you guys supporting him should have a therapy session.

  21. finestcuts

Ok fair enough Micky, I got the wrong end of the stick, and yes there are sickos…..that guy was not doing it as a joke though, his post was about that the FA should punish Shawcross. He did not need to post the pic, that’s what made me mad.

  22. choy

if you guys want to see the pic its on the bbc website..

    sickening…

All these fackin teams… hardly even try to play football.

paul…anyone who defends shawcross tackle…is either plain stupid or no Arsenal fan at all……in my opinion..and you know where to stick ure credentials right ??

  27. ikon

paul if you dont support, then think who was the tackler, and did it win the ball without taking off the other guys legs. If not then it wasnt a fair tackle.
Ask this simple question to yourself.

  28. paul

Song have another look at it and explain what it is you are seeing and persuade me then, i am prepared to listen to reason

  29. the dude abides

Shawcross is in the fuckin England squad – unbelievable…..Capello must feel like a right mug. Personally I blame the managers like Pullis, McLeish and co who think it’s a clever tactic to ‘intimidate’ our players.
Totally agree with Wengers measured response, lets hope it’s the start of a final push to the title we deserve. Those Chav cunts looked shit today and Man Ure are a one man team……

  30. goonermichael

I know you shouldn’t wish this on people but I’d love to see the reaction if it had been a foreigner breaking rooneys leg.

  31. Sabeel Indian Gunner

    Kushagra

i have a right to be as angry as i can be..and i am bloody furious what has happened/…..

all this can be avoided becos of media and stupid refree and stupid players intent..not avoided

forget it…our fans anger is truly valid..

  32. Swedish Gun

i said this when Eddy got injured (long before that too)

A lunge like that should result in a ban that last as long as the recieving player is out and then add 3 games

Then players would atleast think (not many can but…)
    twice before

Theese lunges are not part of the game imo

  33. izham

if u ever play football, u know that whenever u go in for a challenge, u’ll try to win the ball first without making any contact on the opponent..u wanna win a tackle clean as a whistle..

my point is shawcross knows in his mind that if he goes into a challenge lunging at the opponent it’s another gonna hurt the player someway or another..intent with malice, dat’s what shawcross challenge was(telling the opponent that i’m here)

  34. goonermichael

I believe we’ll win the league now. Most of our players have been through this before and they stood up today. The chavs and mancs are average at best. We can do it.

  35. Stu

The refereeing system? Blame the fucking media. Its well documented in all types of english media that arsenal can be beaten by roughing us up. Everyone does and always gets away with it because its the accepted thing to do..this leg break has been a long time coming.

  36. Stu

The leagues is ours to lose now. With our fixtures if we can win 8 of the matches we should be champions…unless chelsea or united win the rest of theirs obviously.

  38. Stu

They’re all cunts kingsley. Anyone affiliated with Sky that isnt ex arsenal through and through has something against us imo.

  39. Mr B

Poor Poor Ramsey. Wish him all the best and I hope the win gives him the strength to recover and be an even better footballer.

  40. Stu

GM, Cesc buckled a stoke player from behind, Pulis must have been complaining and Cesc put his finger to his mouth telling Pulis/Stoke bench to shut it. Then Pulis called Cesc a prick (if my lipreading is correct).

  41. kingsley

do you see andy gray call martin taylors tackle on eduardo an ‘horrendous tackle’ only to pause and then correct himself an call it an ‘horrendous incident’ what a load of fucking shite!

  42. Mr B

I think as a player u know when u can pullout at the last second and when u want to be reckless. Athleets have reaction times under .2 seconds atleat.

Im a dirty player and I know when I go in if Im going to hurt someone, even in a fast paced game.

  43. Eaglegunner

I trully am moved by the callous and unprofessional foul on a talented young kid like Ramsey, i couldnt really enjoy the rest of the match after that.

I hope Aaron recovers fully and in no short time returns to continue to be able to express himself on the pitch.

To Bendtner & Eboue, i say good on both of you for staying by Aaron’s side during his ordeal.

Well played boys, i loved the passion shown by the team today. Hopefully, the real Gunners have been awakened!

    I love Arsenal!!

  44. Stu

Teams always set up against us to do rotational fouling. The refs always let it go and books hardly any of them. Then we make one tackle in retaliation/frustration and get booked.

I mean wtf!! was Songs booking about today. He held Delap off and got a yellow. It wasnt even a foul..the only plus point is that we should miss him against Burnley or Hull.

  45. izham

we should just move on and hopes that it isn’t a horrific injury and wishes him early recovery…

this match i believe shows the true character of the players, especially cesc and clichy having witness the freak injury to eduardo..

vermaelen can’t control his emotions and was almost to tears when he saw ramsey leg, clichy had to put his arms around verminator and offer him the support and encouragement..

cesc was distraught and he took the game by the scruff of the neck afterwards..and to score that penalty when all the odds are against you(ramsey incident & sorensen having saved his last penalty) take a lot of nerves..he was also a true leader out there, gathering the players for a huddle in the middle of the pitch at the end of the game..

  46. Stu

Nasris wasnt bad though, that wasnt an actual break like the others. Just a broken bone within the leg, not a proper leg hanging off break….i think.

  47. AA23

    Everyone defending Shawcross already.
    it was a 50/50
    he’s not like that
he was crying when he came off

fuck that manc scumcunt and his clogging stoke wankers.
what the fuck was he doing in the middle of the pitch going in that fucking hard even it it was a “50 50″.
everyone knows that teams are encouraged to tackle us hard and accident or not this is what happens.
Same old Arsenal always cheating though.

  48. Stu

I dont know 786. It would never happen but apparently the refs in other countries are shit too. At least they wouldnt be biased though…so yeah it would be a good idea i think.

  49. Stu

Anyone who thinks it was a 50/50 is clearly blind. The ball was moving away from Shawcross and towards Ramsey so Rambo was always favourite to win it.

  50. dovski

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/a/arsenal/8541140.stm

Ryan Shawcross is a smashing lad, he hasn’t got a bad bone in his body,” said Pulis.

Unlike Aaron who has two badly broken bones.

He’s just been named in the England squad so expect an easy ride from the English press.

Heaven help us if an Arsenal player was to commit a similar tackle. As Cesc said 3 in 5 years. It’s no coincidence.

Winning the title now would surely do wonders for the team. Boys to men ?

  51. SongtheGreat

Terry…Cole…shawcross..fine examples of the new English generation.and heey lets name Gerrard(neverdives) and Rooney too…English players are no good anymore and tries to keep up either by cheating or *killing*….

  52. ritesh

I think we have to understand differences of views…

How was football played in England 20 years ago?

I mean, today, the EPL is very much civilised compared to that period.

People who played 20 years ago will not understand why they have to play differently today…because their way is the right way…

  53. CedarBayDave

I will say it was very classy of Stoke’s Glenn Whelan to hold Ramsey’s head, comfort him and keep him out of shock.

Ramsey will be back and stronger, but it will take a lot of time.

I think the squad will rally around Aaron and go on an amazing run.

  54. ritesh

thats 6 months minimum Stu…plus the usual stop starts when he is back.

Forget about him next season…. A pity cause he could have stepped up next season…

  55. gazzap

This keeps happening where limited ability defenders are getting involved with quicker more skillful attacking players – Diaby, Eduardo and Rambo – all the same thing. as wenger says, this is no longer just coincidence. This is a real problem. I think it could easily turn top players away from joining or staying with Arsenal. You cant play this style football in the prem league – we are not allowed to by thuggish teams. Sunderland, Birmingham and Stoke – all away from home – all played with similar ‘style’.
the same would happen to Barcelona in the prem league. you cant play a neat passing game in the prem league – its a bloody shame.

will Cesc leave, seeing how often this is happening to team mates? he wont want to ruin his career. I can definitely see it.

  56. finestcuts

78692, You support an English team from the capital of England so your comments are retarded, unless you are not a fan in which case go to your clubs’ fansite and stop shitting on every English person just because of today’s incident. I guess heaven where you’re from everyone is fantastic.

  57. Stu

I dont agree with all of that Gazzap. Only part i dont agree with is the sunderland injury. Dan Smith it was who injured Diaby. He is a midfielder and if you remember the tackle the same way i do i think it was intended. He was nowhere near the ball and crushed Diabys ankle.

That tackle imo was totally meant because it was late in the match when Sunderland had already lost. The other two were at level score when the oppo has something to “fight” for. SMith tackle was the worst imo in terms of intent.

  58. Keyser

I remember the game and Dan Smith was running around looking for challenges to make, Redknapp was manager of Southampton then and I think I remember him screwing at him after he’d done it.

  59. Kevin

I thought clichy was a fucking monster today. Great perfromance from him, sol, and verminator, oh and of course cesc. Even eboue looked better and im happy nikky b scored.

On to shawcross. First and foremost there was no intent. But make no mistake, he wanted man, and ball. Watch it in full speed, he came flying in. So in a way there was intent, but not to rip his leg in half, if that makes sense.

We are a victim of own technical superioty compared to the rest of the league. And the media add fuel to the fire. We are back in the title race, this is the chance we’ve been waiting for.

  60. Stu

David Prutton got sent off when we played Soton, i think Redknapp was manager. Van Persie got Sent off in that match too and Wenger was furious.

  61. chozzer

Just back from the game and it was truly sickening. Even from 60 yards away you could see Ramsey’s leg sticking out at a 90 degree angle.
    How can it keep happening?

  62. Stu

Not sure on which word is apt but i’ll try coincidentally. Ok here goes

Coincidentally Rory Delap scored twice against us in a match against soton which ended 2-2. Always been a thorn in our side.

  63. Keyser

Stu – Yeah, dayum I thought that was where Diaby got injured, though St Mary’s, Sunderland Stadium of Light evoke similar memories. Redknapped slated Prutton afterwards though.

  64. gnarleygeorge9

Just finished watching the recording of the game (I’m really glad i taped this one). 200% guts & determination, & that stuff will win The Title.

  65. ritesh

There you go…The media has already started having a go at Wenger now…its coming in phases…

Phase 1, say 50-50 challenge or mistimed challenge, but not intentional…then say the guy is a good lad

Then pick on a few words Wenger said and make it sound like he is out of order.

    ;-) thats good for sales.

  66. GoonerJohn

Sol campbell is really a great addition, i think we should keep him for another year! His celebration after the third goal was great, he showed real passion there! great example for the kids

  67. The Ruler

Just read a few of the previous comments and agree, the unity and support the Arsenal players showed Ramsey was very touching and commendable, was proud of the players for their behaviour.

Something needs to be done to stop this bullshit though, causing those kind of injuries are not acceptable, I don’t know whether there was intent to hurt the player, couldn’t tell but there was certainly excessive force used, that needs to be stamped out, commited and determined tackles are great for the game, but excessive force that isn’t neccesarily and could ruin players careers needs to be stopped, I hope this isn’t just forgotten about, I think some action needs to be taken.
