Robin scores 200, Tendulkar is back in April, the whore sees red and the chavs go down

by & filed under Uncategorized.

What a perfect day that was! The Dutch say that Robin will be back in early April for the run in, Arsenal say May, but Robin is in Holland and they see him at first hand, the important thing is Robin says he’s ready, that is great news indeed, the whore got sent off as the northern chavs lost to Stoke, taking them to extra time which means they’ll be cream crackered on Saturday and Milan beat the chav-chavs in the San Siro, so deep joy all round.

The bad news is Arsene has told the press we should be grateful whatever happens this season as we only play for 2 main trophies and we are still in both of them, and furthermore this team is young, oh well, no change in that thinking then.

Other news is the EPL debt, is greater than all the other leagues combined, hmmm, why is that then? If all the others pay big wages as well? Maybe it’s because teams like Milan and Madrid have their slates wiped clean each year? I don’t know, but with Stoke next up, we’ll see how good this young team really is and if it can win the league on a smaller budget.

I fancy us, but then I would, I’m a diehard Arsenal fan and will continue to believe until fat Franks sings, I did see the Arsenal players in syrups though sporting 70′s retro kits, so hopefully that’s a teaser for what’s to come. If we do wear red socks, I hope we have white tops on them, or at least a 70′s style white band, then at least something exciting will come from this season. Me I’d prefer white, or hoops.

I did watch that big Italian guy last night, Balotelli, he looks good, but if Maureen says he only has 1 brain cell, he may be another Ade, so perhaps we should look elsewhere.

I called Arsenal about the supposed waiting list for club level, they told me if I wanted to buy more tickets in my name, I would get them, if it’s a new name, I would have to apply, I think there is no waiting list, and yesterday I offered mine on here, and out of 20,000 plus hits, not one taker, so not as many people would die for a seat as we are led to believe, I think the long list is a bit of yet another Arsenal fib.

Ivan, you can always email and tell me different, but I’m not holding my breath. For those of you that want season tickets next season, I would apply, I think you’d get them.

For the Stoke game I think we need some height in there, so I would play Diaby and Bendtner from the off (not both up front though) I also think we needd some speed, so I would play Arshavin and Walcott alongside Nikki, I would play Rosicky, Diaby and Cesc in the middle and a back four of Eboue, Gallas, Campbell and Vermaelen, give Song and Clichy a rest and see what happens.

Stoke by-pass the midfield so we don’t really need a defensive midfielder.

We’ve tried everything else and we have the Porto game coming soon after, so we need options if we want to continue on the final two fronts.

Have a great day Grovers, Saturday sees the business end looming, and we need to win them all now, Cech and Cole out for the chavs could be pivotal, so it’s not over yet!

I’m not saying that at all Pedro!

Why would they want to say anything different, nothing to do with their intelligence, footballers don’t do interviews because they have something to say, they do it as a duty or a favour and never actually say anything in them!

Do you think you can win the league? “Yes but we have to concentrate”

Do you think you can win at Stoke? “Yes but it’ll be a tough match”

ask any player from any team the same questions and they’ll come out with the same answers, it isn’t like they’re the ones wanting to publicise their deep philosophical world views which is why they do interviews!

  2. Pat

Eriksen looks confident against Juve. Dribbled a bit too much there. Got past Sissoko and someone else like they weren’t there and released the ball too far in front of himself

  3. Stu

The players dont have to give interviews though do they. All of their answers will probably be the same anyway so asking different players the same questions is pointless imo.

  4. Pat

Is Gallas injury against Stoke a good thing? Tuncay has been playing well lately, but Campbell is surely better for Stoke and they way they play.

  5. ritesh

…actually no…cause readers are sometimes contaminated by bouts of stupidity higher than players. :-)

That what we call human nature

  6. A

I agree, but it’s part of their duties Stu. All players give interviews, and I agree that they’re largely totally pointless, which is why they’re spun and manipulated so much by the media to make out that they’ve actually said something of interest!

The Arse.com or ATVO ones are there all the time, and I’d imagine they do have to give interviews to them, it’s part of the contract with them that players will give them interviews, same as the club being contracted to give press conferences before and after every game aren’t they?

  7. Pat

Tuncay’s speed and the way he hangs around the line worry me though, although he is usually offside. Risky with Campbell. Fullbacks need to stay back more, especially Sagna since he can’t even attack

  8. sixx pac

great point A. People think the players get up Monday morning and go to the papers and say, we can win the league if we win all our matches. Only Arshavin does that. Plus sometimes you see multiple headlines from one player ala Walcott last week, its one interview being drawn out.

  9. A

I dunno Pat, I’d rather Gallas in there, even though he isn’t better on the ball. Defensively he’s better, he’d probably win the ball back more and we’d give away less throw ins as a result.

Same reason I’d like to see Eboue start rather than Sagna. Sagna is better defensively, but we’ve got to just accept that we’re not gonna be as big and strong as them at throw ins, and maximise our attacking potential

  10. Pedro

I don’t think interviews are all the same. Cesc came out and said some interesting things after the game, Arsh gives great interviews, Adebayor always had something ridiculous to say, Van Persie is interesting.

  11. A

sixx pac Arshavin doesn’t even do that, he just does an interview with his own website after every match, and at other times as well, then the papers take those interviews and put in “Arshavin told The Mail on Sunday…” then a quote from his website! It’s ridiculous

  12. Stu

Thats probably because they are/were senior players thought Pedro. The younger ones who give interviews probably just want to say their bit and get it over with.

And we all know how opinionated Arshavin is.He isnt afraid to say anything…fucking legend!

  13. A

Yeah Pedro, I’m not saying that literally, but stories like “x says Arsenal can still win the league” etc….

Bendtner and VP say interesting things, and Arshavin is incredibly honest in interviews

  14. Pat

I was wondering there A. Campbell better on the ball?!?!?! haha

I’d like Eboue or Theo at RW. Both are direct, but I prefer Eboue.

Stoke were very lucky to get past City to be honest. SWP, Bellamy troubled them the most cause they send up their big boys for the Delap specials.

We need to counter very well and we are guaranteed goals against this lot. Once we get 1 or 2 the game will open up and suit us more.

i dont even want to get into this debate again , but its pretty obvious to me wenger uses players to convey messages , take the nasri to play DM pre-season , im sure narsi didnt say that shit off his own back , because if he did im sure wenger would drag his french chubby ass over the coals backwards for speaking out of turn ..

its obvious to me , wenger uses them as martyrs occasionally.. or to gain favor with the fans (eg. denilsons war cry :) ) or just cry :)

not sure what we are all trying to prove on here but wenger definitely uses his players and the media to convey messages , like cesc NOT leaving …every 3 months ..

id say AA23 speaks out of turn occasionally however .. and that is good for a certain type of fan like me !

    :)

i applaud honesty and his frankness

  16. Stu

We should completely take the piss against stoke. Ask for a towel for every throw in regardless of where it is, get ALmunia to ask for a new ball for every kick out and just waste as much time as possible…..after we take the lead of course.

  17. David

Ade is and was a Wenger Martyr,

Togo man took the stick for a failed season.

Wonder who would take the stick this time around.

  18. A

Pat I don’t want us to counter, I just want us to piss all over them! The kids pulled them all over the place in the fa cup game even if we lost in the end, there were certainly promising elements to that match. With fitter/first team players playing we should be able to do the same, but exploit the space created much more, especially with stoke being pretty unprepared and on tired legs

lol i forgot about your conspiracy theories ethan

  19. A

gambon I’d rather eboue, we shouldn’t be trying to match up against them, we should be trying to play our game, and make them try and adapt to us

  20. David

AA24 is a Legend because of his mouth.

Oh and the Antics at Anfield help as well.

“How can Arsenal win a trophy with Arshavin as CF”

I ask the same question everyday dude.

  21. gambon

    A

Its that mentality that has gotten us nowhere for 5 years. One dimensional, pile everyone forward football.

Against stoke, more than almost any other team, you need to earn the right to play football.

  22. ethangunner

Pedro im a fast typer ..

    i google searched… fat ugly bitches :)

i did also use the 2nd one … i came across and not the one with the donkey in it :)

    ———————————
yes thats what she said :)

  23. A

gambon I’d say that it was that mentality that resulted in our going unbeaten. It’s since then that we’ve changed systems depending on who we were playing, and that’s made us weaker.

It’s just what we did against Stoke last year as well….

With Stoke being tired and unprepared we need to get a team out there with alot of movement, to pull them around all over the place and create space to exploit, not let them rest, make them work hard to keep us out

  24. Pat

    fucking internationals…

When we’re winning we should get a towel as well for each throw-in.

Lets start that at the Emirates. Almunia should ask for new gloves every time as well!

  25. David

I do think its strange that the players juss echo Wengerism.

Its not hard to believe since everything comes from Arsenal.com

Having said that I do wish Theo would shut the fuck up and play.

  26. A

Gotta say it’ll be a piss take if gallas, diaby, arshavin play for france and russia after being injured, wouldn’t put it past france and russia though

  27. A

lol David I don’t get what you mean by shut the fuck up though. When asked questions should he just signal that his mouth is zipped shut and say nothing?!

  28. gambon

    A

In 03/04 we had reigned it in a lot from 02/03. We were much more solid, and much more boring to watch.

I like the idea of us “doing a Barca” but we’re nowhere near good enogh.

  29. Pat

If France want to get anywhere in the world cup I think Saha and Diaby need to be in their starting XI. Saha on current form pisses all over Anelka.

Diaby, a holding CDM, and Gourcuff in CM

  30. A

Yeah gambon, but we still didn’t apapt our game depending on who we were playing against.

Last year we stuck diaby and song in the midfield, and dropped vp so that we had bendy and ade for height, couldn’t play our natural game as a result, and still couldn’t stop stoke going forwards.

I really hope Wenger doesn’t do the same again, especially with their being tired imo we should really go for them

  31. ethangunner

    A
given our run of injuries im sure you can expect some , its also the world cup the pinnacle of world football for most , so expect some crunching tackles and bones broken …

and as most of our players are made of glass
i would say its a matter of WHO not IF ..

  32. A

Why not David, if there are interviews to be done seeing as he’s our one English player I’m very happy with him being sent to do them rather than any players for whom english isn’t their first language, where they’re more likely to have their words twisted! Though this week it seems like ATVO have done interviews with half our squad

  33. A

Yeah ethan, what’s the betting Diaby will play and injure Cesc?!

Disagree there David, Anelka wouldn’t have been in defence and stopped any of the ridiculous mistakes, nor in goal, so he would’ve made precious little difference imo!

  34. Pat

    SHouldn’t be. He’s vastly overrated.

I thought Anelka was Chelsea’s worst player. I saw nothing from him against Inter. Kalou and Drogba outperformed him

  35. leon

ia m real big fan of sole he is very experienced very powerful and does the simple thing realy well he wont go forward but thats a good thing for me,i read there chance clichy will leave and to real honnest i dont think that to much of big deal he has not been good for long long while nad not jsut talking about recent games is very error prone and has been for quite a few years now,i think a new experienced lb is needed as i dont think gibbs or troae have enough experience i realy hope wenger takes heed and sells clichy delinson almunia and silvest but i would offer sole contract extention

  36. Stu

Theres really only 1 spot left in attack. Dont know much about the france set up but im assuming Henry and Ribery will be on either wing and the CF position is between Benzema, Gignac and Anelka.

I do however know that most french people want Diaby as a starter, playing next to a DM and starting attacks from deep.

  37. ethangunner

    A

unless there’s some tension between them im sure most club players (of the same clubs) will not repeat the ronaldo – rooney incident .. A

highly unlikely that , that will occur .
id be more concerned about thugs like JT etc …

  38. Keyser

I’d go for another scrappy win against Stoke, we’re not going to get much of a chance to build momentum from it because of the International break, hopefully it gives the injured players some extra time.

  39. A

yeah ethan, i’m not saying deliberately! But Diaby didn’t mean to injure Nasri in training, or any number of people he’s injured accidentally being clumsy! If he lines up opposite Cesc I hope he just steers well clear of him, makes sure they aren’t within 5 metres of each other all match.

Cole is out injured, and we don’t have any egyptians so should be ok there ethan!

Arshavin going out to hungary would piss me off, and I hope france spain doesn’t get into a competitive game. Good that it isn’t a little side trying to get one over a big side though

  40. A

There isn’t really a break Keyser, though Burnley in a week and a bit at home should be a gimme. I’d start Vela absolutely, Ramsey, maybe even throw in Merida, Traore, and give Silvestre a run!

  41. Pat

So, what are the predictions after Gallas, ARshavin, and Diaby come back?

IN terms of injuries, of course. We always lose players when we get some back. I’m going for Theo and Eduardo out.

  42. Pat

I think Theo can have a stormer against Stoke. Their fullbacks are a joke but we often fail to test them vs. speed.

If Theo has the technique of RVP… Too bad that can’t be taught.

  43. A

Oh yeah, they’re playing at 4am Thursday morning in New Zealand, what a joke.

Hopefully Vela’s groin strain will rule him out, but be fine for the weekend! Though in reality it won’t be the case. He really should just pack in international football after the world cup, until he’s an established first team player

  44. Pat

Same Gambon, but if not Eboue then Theo.

I’m surprised Eboue stayed with us after what happened last season. Its tough on him, cause Sagna came in and was absolutely great, attacking and defending.(he used to know how to cross for us).

  45. Keyser

In front of Sagna though, right ?!

I don’t know about Stoke being tired either, it’s sometimes better to keep the games running, Pulis has had a fully fit squad for the most part and he’s been able to change at will, Beattie isn’t getting a look in and they’ve been playing pretty well, they looked pretty confident going into extra-time against Citeh.

  46. Stu

Who plays left back for Stoke? Higginbotham isnt exactly the fastest is he. But then again Stoke dont play a high line so if Theo played RW there wouldnt be much space for him to fail to exploit. I would rather Eboue there, at least he wont get injured if he gets tackled.

  47. Pat

Stu, Stoke played a high line against City, which is suicide with Bellamy and SWP there.

Maybe that was on the break though…

Either way, I hope we’re working on our counterattacks.

  48. A

He scored but not sure about “did well Kreshik?!”

We really do need liverpool to do us a favour in the big games left, really annoying Ade is out for City too against Chelsea at the weekend

  49. Stu

Prick living down the road from me who supports liverpool said he would gladly lose against chelsea to stop us or united winning the league. Cunt!!

  50. choy

Torres will be up and running for the chavs as well as the mancs..

And his love affair with Vidic is similar to Drogba against our cb’s!

  51. Kreshnik

A … didn’t see the full game actually, but was watching it here and there and I thought he’s growing in confidence. That’s the feeling I got from comments on goal.com as well. Wouldn’t mind if he scores some crucial goals vs the chavs and the mancs at all :D

Ye Ade’s injury doesn’t help at all but Hilario on goal gives me a warm feeling :D and I really wish they exploit him as much as possible. A win for City on the weekend and a win for us would mean that if they sleep once more then it’s really in our own hands.

Given the fact that we got no balls (since we got so many kids) I reckon the easiest way to win the league is to sneak quietly from behind ;) :D

  52. David

I think Mancini will be coaching for his job against Chelsea..

So i fully expect them to take some points off of them.

    Yea Choy

I dont understand why we have the international break…its not as if these players need match fitness.

  53. gambon

    David

Only if they get liquidated. Which certainly wouldnt happen til the end of the season, unless they are utterly fucked.

  54. A

Pompey will be down to 7 points with their points deduction, needing another 5 to prevent their having the lowest points total.

Hopefully they’ll play as Swindon did when they were relegated and get some wins, rather than just roll over and let teams smash them

  55. Stu

Well surely the chavs did the double over Pompey so that would be a 6 point off each of us? Still wouldnt make a difference to the gap between us. Right?

  56. David

    Oh okay…

Its not so doom and gloom then!

    A,

I think its the Captains duty to take interviews…and im pretty Sure Cesc speaks good enough English. He’s been here since he was 12!

Anelka wouldve put the finishing product to the chances we create.

Means less pressure to throw bodies forward.

    Means less fuckups from midfield.

We defended decently when we were winning games…

    We dont have a keeper.

And we are still weak on Set pieces.

Nothing has changed from last year except the formation.

  57. Dannyboy

    Gambon,
I was thinking more of a ticker tape welcome at the last game of the season… Wenger, Gazidis and Hill-Wood could do a lap of honour..? Profit margins the new cups..???

  58. leon

i know we run the board for being a bunch of tight fisisted cunts but when look at the state portsmouth are in i just dont know but thre has be some middle ground because this is left behind and title drout is getting longer

  59. A

Everyone does interviews David, they don’t just send one person to do them! The manager has the responsibility of doing the post match press conference generally, and the captain will do more than most, but all the players share the responsibility of interviews, as they do most public engagements, it wouldn’t be fair at all if the captain had to do them all, hell of a lot of work!

The chances we create wouldn’t magically fall to just one forward if Anelka was in the team, and we only create the chances because we have a fluid system with alot of people going forwards….

We’ve defended decently, and scored goals decently, and beaten all the small teams this season.

We’ve not been good enough defensively against the big teams this season, regardless of who was up front.

This season is totally different from last season!

Last season we were out of the league because we couldn’t break down and score goals against the little teams, but did well against the big teams, we only lost one game against the other big teams!!

This season we’re in with a chance in the league still because we’ve been able to break down and score goals in all the easy games, but still a bit behind because we got a massive 0 points in the 4 games against Chelsea and Utd, leaving us 12 points worse off!

  60. A

I bet it’ll just be a massive anti-climax on Saturday, but how I’d love Bridge to seriously injure Terry, then come out after the game and say that he’d reconsidered his decision about the world cup, and with Terry out of the picture he could feature.

  61. Stu

We also have a problem of conceding from almost every shot.

Whether thats an amazing lack of concentration, inability to defend, bad goalkeeping or that we just happen to make the oppo very clinical…

  62. Stu

Ha! Idiots cordoba and Pazzini. Stupid second yellows.

There were some tasty tackles in there. Savage was hillarious. Mass brawl and he just stands there looking on.

  63. leon

david love the video we need nasties like that midfield i dont if the criple a player they know they going get thats what talking about

  64. Block Delap's Throw-in

Why cannot a player stand in front of Delap when he takes a throw?

Even if it is a few metres back, but in the line of sight, it might just throw him off a little and cause a higher trajectory.

According to the FIFA Laws: All opponents must stand no less than 2 m (2 yds) from the point at which the throw-in is taken.

Surely this is enough to disrupt the flight of the ball.

Why do we allow Delap to spend one minute getting a cloth and then feverishly drying the ball before a throw? Surely this is time-wasting and not in the spirit of the game.

I would be showing the ref the watch everytime he took a throw.

Then again…if Arsenal concede from a throw-in maybe they deserve to get beaten.

  65. nishanth

Bad news that diaby won’t be available for the stoke game.I just hope wenger doesn’t pick denilson.Ramsey or even eastmond should be ahead of him.Eastmond did okay against stoke in the FA cup

  66. A

Eastmond?! Not a chance, even with Denilson playing shit Eastmond is miles behind him, and the rest of them.

If Denilson is fully fit I expect him to play, but if his back is still troubling him I’d stick in Nasri probably before Ramsey. Is massive though that Diaby isn’t fit, huge loss and would’ve been very important.

  67. sixx pac

Wellington Silva is a beast. Could turn out to be best Wenger signing. Robinho pace and David Villa finishing mixed with Rooney passion

  68. ethangunner

true , he could also turn out like RobinHO .

so whilst he is definitely already wenger’s best signing in some years , i think we might need to wait another couple of seasons if he is as good as say Th14 .. id even settle for a bert at the moment :)

  69. sixx pac

whats a bert. Robinho is still good just wasted at citeh. He nds a lot o time on the ball to be effective instead o short passes. Nds to lay off the partying as well. Hope Wellington aint like that

    Well talking about 10dulkar…

Have u ever heard a MS Dhoni’s Story on how he became a cricketer..??

Well it goes like this.. MSD was actually the Goalkeeper of his school team. Once there Cricket team had a setback due to an injury to their Wicket keeper. so the Cricket coach asked his football counterpart to release MSD for a cricket match. From there on he carried it forward. Since he has really good reflexes and cool head i think he will be a good replacement for our Goalie situation!!!

A-Eastmond did well against a team like bolton at the reebok stadium. No point in discussing because denilson will play for sure
