At last we smash the chavs!

by & filed under Uncategorized.

So last night at their gaff our rub-a-dubs hammered their rub-a-dubs, no surprise really, I guess even Roman’s money wouldn’t stretch to buying two whole teams!

What was nice is that youngster Luke Freeman was promoted from the academy team to the stiffs and scored on his debut, am I excited because he’s young and English? No, I’m excited because he has been a prospect since we got him from Gillingham, has come through the ranks and has delivered at every stage of his development. Now what we should do, is leave him there and let him grow up, then when he does we should loan him out somewhere.

Anyway by all accounts it was convincing, 2 nil up and Jay Emmanuel Thomas was pulling all the strings, apparently at half time Roman took Thomas and Freeman up to the hotel and tapped them up, but there was a social worker nearby and the cracks were swiftly papered over, Chelsea are appealing.

The appeal was heard before full time and they were exonerated, Arsenal were fined for allowing their players to wander around.

Tomorrow Arshavin is out but not much is being said of Song, so I have no idea if he’s playing at this stage, I did read that Eastmond was pulled from the team last night and as it wasn’t Ray Wilkins that pulled him, I’m assuming it’s as cover to Song.

The Mancs play tonight against an ageing Milan, I read the eye-tie press said Beckham was like a waxwork dummy, ha, ha, at last he’s getting the credit he deserves, let’s just hope Fabio is taking note, I expect a manc win there. To be honest after the Flamini and Ade thing, I think I hate Milan as much as I hate the mancs, chavs, northern chavs and spuds. So whoever loses I’ll be laughing.

I know I said I wouldn’t say it again, but if Song is injured and Campbell is fit, why doesn’t he try Vermaelen in the DM role. He won’t, but I thought I would mention it again.

So Dennis Bergkamp has finally completed his coaching badge, brilliant! Now Ivan get on a plane to Holland and sign him up as a coach, him and someone like Steve Bould or my personal favourite Thierry Henry could be our next management duo, that way Arsene would be controlling the future with a couple of his old boys and would be able to go upstairs without losing face. They would be the most famous management duo in the history of football management.

Ok I’ve licked my lips so often this morning I resemble Heath Ledger when he played the Joker in some Batman film. So I’m reaching for some man cream to re-hydrate before I start working for a living!

Have a great day Grovers, one more till matchday!

    Choy;

    If people can post shite about Sczseny being the dogs bollocks already, better than Fabianski… Then I will say, if Fabianski gets a run of games he will be top class for Arsenal…

    Is top class good enough?

  2. SUGA3

    MG,

    ‘Something is said often enough and people start to believe it was fact’

    er,

    that must be one of these with you believing that Fabianski is ‘top keeper’

  3. SUGA3

    choy,

    the only thing is that keepers do not get the ‘get out of the jail free’ cards like the outfield players…

    Fabianski should be loaned out to a mid table team to gain experience – there is too much at stake for Arsenal to give him a run of games, allow him to cock up in a few and hope for him to come good (or not)…

    he just doesn’t have the kind of character top keepers have IMO…

  4. SUGA3

    MG,

    no mate, it’s not: it is based on observation – why would I generalise? there is no point in doing so if the evidence is right there in front of you ;)

    I think the main reason I have the opinion that Fabianski aint the answer boils down to the fact that every time he plays he’s fucking useless, not just the odd mistake, but just completely shit.

    Yeah he’s probably better than Almunia but thats like saying Ashley Cole is a better husband than John Terry.

  6. ManGoonian

    Suga3;

    Stop callin it evidence mate… Its YOUR opinion! Nothing more, nothing less…

    I have read opinions by people (in the game) who rate the fella highly, but maybe they havent seen you sexed up documents yet!

    I have sen him, and he has made mistakes (as every effin keeper has) but he has also shown things about his game, that I really rate too….

  7. A

    szczesny isn’t a top keeper just yet! Certainly got the potential, but he wasn’t even going to get regular games for the reserves at the start of the season, he’s our 4th choice keeper! Arguably our most talented, but in terms of where he is now he isn’t close to Fabianski or Almunia just yet, needs games, and maybe a loan all next season. Had a poor game in league 1 for Brentford at the weekend, needs to play regularly and have those bad days, learn how to get over them etc.

  8. choy

    gambon.. how shite were song and diaby at first.. and how long did it take them?

    fabianski hasn’t played 10 games in a row!

  9. SUGA3

    gambon,

    ‘Yeah he’s probably better than Almunia but thats like saying Ashley Cole is a better husband than John Terry’

    fucking comedy gold :lol:

    MG,

    care to explain what are these things you rate?

    please enlighten the ignorant one who should have gone to Specsavers ;)

  10. ManGoonian

    gambon;

    Thats why I occasionaly fly off the handle with you!!! :D

    That is such an exageration to say he has been sho9te all the time!

    He has played brillkiantly in games, as well as average and in some instances, poor too…

    Tone it down fella!!!

    Suga3;

    We always have a difference of opinion dont we!!! :D

    Lets all take a moment and pray to the footballin Gods that Fab has a blinder tomorrow!!!

    Nitey nite…

  11. A

    I REALLY hope that this is the start of Fabianski’s reign as number one, and he takes his chance tomorrow. IF he fucks up again, his days really could be numbered, and he could follow Manninger’s path out of the club

  12. gambon

    choy

    GK is a position where a mistake is 10x more costly than other positions.

    And as for Song/Diaby….well how much have we won waiting for them to turn half decent? Precisely nothing.

    We cant afford to let players learn at the expense of results, we’ve been doing that for years, even Wenger said trophies have to come now.

  13. ManGoonian

    Suga3;

    Wow, the zeel with which you want the players to fail is amazing…. How you sooo do not want to be proved wrong…

    I think he can make game saving saves, is brave, agile and alert (his rashness has been his undoing on occasion)

    I just think he has not had a long enough run to get intio any consistent form…

    But fuck it! This is boring…
    he is wank, rubbish, the worst keeper ever…

  14. SUGA3

    I don’t rate Fabianski, never have and probably never will – the idiot who recommended him should be shot at dawn for treason ;)

    if we were to play him until the end of the season, I would not be too sure about the top four finish…

  15. SUGA3

    MG,

    he is not that bad, just nowhere near the standard required – he is way down in the Polish international pecking order, which is quite poor, given the competition of Boruc, Kuszczak and a few keepers from Polish league, like Pawelek who makes Almunia look like Gigi…

  16. ManGoonian

    I never rated Almunia…

    But, I do Fabianski…

    Cech has been ropey for ages now, van der Sar too, in fact all the over rated keepers that we keep getting told are super human and never make mistakes do precisely that!

    But it helps to prolong the myth that Wenger doesnt rate the keeper position and would happily employ the tea lady in goal to prove a point!!!

    KEEPERS MAKE MISTAKES…

    Here endeth the lesson….

    :D

  17. SUGA3

    and I DO want to be proven wrong – mate, I have the greater good of the club in mind and I don’t think we should sacrifice this in order to allow a few players to ‘develop’

  18. ManGoonian

    Suga3;

    Oh please! He is NOT playing!!! Why would he be number 1, or even 2???

    The fucker needs games, BEFORE we can say he is shite, brilliant, or just decent…

    Oh, thats my opinion by the way…

    Its funny how when it suits, Wenger has his favourites and doesnt play certain players that are soooo much better than those who get regular games… However, Fabianski isnt playing coz he is shite!!!

  19. ManGoonian

    It isnt a question of development, its about playing into form and consistency… If he plays tom orrow and has a mare, then that will certainly undermine any claims he has about being top dog at the club… Then again, if he has a flawless game, then one could easily say; well, its only one game, what does that prove?

    Now, I definitely am off!

    Suga3;

    Always a pleasure ,mate, never a chore!!! Latersss

  20. SUGA3

    MG,

    - Boruc is playing in shite Jock league and has been shocking recently
    - Kuszczak is not playing either
    - Pawelek is a fucking clown

    can’t be arsed to list the other GKs ahead of him…

  21. Maurya

    Looks like, we are going to see Denilson tomorrow. Wenger did not keep any other alternatives anyway. I am not sure why he did not include Eastmund. Him with Diaby and Cesc could have been solid middle order.

  22. ManGoonian

    Why the fuck hasnt Eastmond been included in the squad for tomorrow???

    Raif;

    I think we will win tomorrow; 3-1…

    Dunno why? I just do! And Sol will play a blinder too…

    Now, I really am off….

  23. Maurya

    Manu wins again. The way Fergie is going with some average players and old players, it is amazing. He keeps on generating revenue to take of huge interest payment. After their victory in our home game, i have developed some soft soft for Manu.
    As soon as he stops winning trophies, that is end for Manu. If Arsene managing Manu, he would have replaced all of them with 10 yr old’s considering their debt levels.

  24. AA23

    I think we will get beaten tommorrow, its a hard place to go and we are as decimated as we ever are.
    A good defensive display will do the trick though and if we can keep it 1 nil or get a draw then we should be set up to beat them well at the grove.

  25. David

    Porto are a poor side..but i cant see this team creating alot of chances without a proper striker in the squad and now that Arshavin is out..as well as Song with Fabianski in goal its very worrying.

    I’d consider resting Vermalean too.

  26. AA23

    Porto aren’t a poor side, they may not be the greatest side to ever play the game but they are long way from being poor.
    Also they havent lost at home this season. It’s a notoriously difficult place to go to.
    There’s no way we are just going to stroll in there and batter them, especially with the injuries we have.
    I hope we win but lets not get carried away and think that we will just turn up with any XI and spank them.

  27. ethangunner

    AA23

    true ,porto are the best in there league..
    but wenger always TRIES for C.L glory…

    if only he had passion to start small and start with something more achievable this team could find the missing part of the puzzle,CONFIDENCE – DESIRE & a WINNING MENTALITY…

  28. ethangunner

    the mental strength that man U have showed in the 2nd half of every season for quite some time now..
    (and last night i thought they were gone in the1st half)

    they might have the odd hiccup, all teams do..

    but they always win to progress when it counts..
    and we are the reverse…

  29. gnarleygeorge9

    Diaby is the key IMO. The D-Train could be the catalyst to achieving the result. But I’m not too confident I must say.

    Bloody injuries are a real piss off.

  30. ethangunner

    yes normally GG, i think porto would be walk in the park if not for all the injuries (RVP in particular).definitely 1 of the best draws we could have at this late stage of the comp.

    well regardless gg we get GAME tonight!
    its been a while ….

    and im hangin out for it :)

  31. AA23

    Porto at home has never been a walk in the park for anyone and a lot of decent teams have come well unstuck there. I’ve been twice and seen us draw and lose.
    I’d take a draw right now.

  32. Moray

    Porto sold many of their best players in the summer. We should win 3-1. I would like to say 2-0, but there is always the 1 we let in…

    Just chuckling about Myles on ANR. He’s pratically anking over Rooney on his preview to the game. He’ll be even worse on his next post.

    Rooney was practically unplayable yesterday. And he will rip apart a slow defence. Still hate the guy, though.

  33. charybdis1966

    Moray, Myles will have plenty f the white frothy stuff all over his strides today if yesterday’s pre amble to the game at the San Siro is anything to go by – and wtf was such a preview doing on ARSENAL News Review? He should just write a ManU blog so I don’t have to delete him off my Newsnow feed.
    I hate Shrek and his wretched team – they can all go f**k themselves.
