Time to move on and prove that finishing third was worth it Arsene.

by & filed under Uncategorized.

So yesterday saw unprecedented criticism levelled at the boss, not just from most of the blogs, but from just about every journalist, football pundit and ex player in the world of football, home and abroad, so who is right, Arsene Wenger, or everyone else?

It’s time to stop treating the boss like a demi-God that can do no wrong, it’s time to open your eyes people, we need to change tack or we’ll go another 6 years with nothing to show for it bar a shiny new stadium, a posh training ground (or should I say treatment room) and a shed load of rich people benefitting from it that really don’t care about winning.

We play Liverpool tomorrow, a must win game, in our leaders quest for finishing third, they don’t come much tougher than this one, win it and we are on track for that coveted 3rd spot, lose it and the chasing pack are on us, and we could end up out of Europe and out of new young fans.

Two years ago we, here on Le Grove stressed the importance of beating ManU in the FA cup, field a weakened side we said and the confidence will go and we could blow the Premiership, of which at that time we were leading, we blew it and the rest is history.

Wind the clock forward and up step Stoke, we fielded a crazy team and lost, followed by a draw at Villa Park and two hammerings to title rivals and now we are out of the cups, and out of the league, so what’s left? That’s right, the bonus target of finishing third and the outside chance of winning the Champions league. Great. That was worth every penny I scraped together to buy my two expensive season tickets.

Every season we all say Wenger must learn from his laughable project youth and in the summer he will buy, well with season ticket renewal on the way, Wenger has once again started telling the French press he wants Chamakh.

We all renew and we buy a player only then to sell two first teamers, I could list all those that have gone, Reyes, Henry, Hleb, Kolo and Ade but I won’t, oops, I already did, sorry, but Chamakh could have and should have been bought in August, we could have got him for £12mil, we didn’t because we can get him on a free, but by the time we pay him a signing on fee and inflated wages, it will be the same, so we failed to get a player when he could have made a difference and another year of nothing drifts by.

I don’t even think he’s the one, Dzeko or Villa would have been better, it’s not like we didn’t have the money is it?

This year though, we got the added bonus of the whole footballing world laughing at us, thanks for that boss.

Tomorrow we have to win, tomorrow we have to field a team that can score and put some distance in between us and the pack, tomorrow we should play this lot.

Fabianski

Eboue Campbell Gallas Traore

Diaby Cesc Vermaelen

Rosicky Bendtner Arshavin

This has to be the team we play, a solid back four, a half decent keeper and a defensive midfielder with pace, strength, the knowledge to read play and score goals with a forward line that has presence and the ability to hold play up.

Almunia is just a joke, Clichy and Sagna have lost form and Song is too slow, Arshavin is too small to be a centre forward and Theo has lost his ability. Time to drop your favourites and start thinking of the poor fans.

We need to get in their faces from the off and shoot when we get near the goal, time to stand up and be counted and time to stop the embarrassing and pathetic excuses.

Oh and finally time to start winning games again, the players we’ve been playing in key games are either not old enough, not strong enough or not good enough, time to realise that and show the pundits we are a team that can challenge, either that or time to change, and you all know what that means.

I want to write blogs that are happy ones, all I can find to write about these days are critical ones, and you know what? That’s not my fault, it’s Arsenal’s, and finally it’s time to man up and admit when you’re wrong. Because you know what? You really are.

Can someone tell me what the benefit in moving stadiums has been? At Highbury we had no debt and beer was £2.25 a pint, we had a better atmosphere, we were winners and we spent money on players, we were told we needed to move to compete with the mancs and the chavs, if we had been told 7 years on and we’d still spend no money and be pot-less would you have been happy? I know I wouldn’t, and that 7 years is only if we win something next year, and that’s a big if, would you have been happy if you were given the caveat that we would would not be trying to win any domestic cups and that third place would be our new target? I’m not.

Have a great day Grovers, it’s win tomorrow or bust, oh, and we have a spare ticket for the game, if you’re interested email Pedro.

Wilshere is making things happen for Bolton…Vieira on the other hand looks lost in midfield for City. Might be just lack of sharpness though.

  2. Paulinho

Let’s see what happens when the game gets stretched and the pace of the game really kicks off – like it usually does in the second half. My guess is he’ll start to get exposed again and get hauled off.

At the moment he can only play in slow paced games.

  3. sixx pac

arent u supposed to play better with class players. So how the hell is wilshere playing so well for bolton. He didnt play all that well for us bar the emirates cup

  4. Stu

Wilshere is thriving under the pressure of having to play well to keep his place…something non existant at arsenal.

  5. Gooby

yep a great goal by the whore. we wouldn’t be worried about the big man forward if we hadn’t sell him, we got nobody to replace him anyways.

i like wilsher’s attitude went face to face with de jong

  6. chozzer

No-one actually believes all that love children bollox , do they?

Granted we don’t all see player’s performances as Wenger does, but you have to agree that he honestly picks what he sees as being the best team available, surely?.

  7. trindle

what position did Adebaywhore play for us? Was it in the hole just behind the … now, what are they called? Most teams have them … nah, it’s gone.

  8. ethangunner

    that’s a scary thought !

  9. big dave

Great goal by Ade, assist by PV4

Dzeko only wants to play for Milan.

Don’t slag Chamakh before he has even kicked a ball yet for us, wenger will make him great.

The sad news is about cesc, lets bleed those Barca cunts

  10. Gooby

chamakh is not as bad as ppl on here is making him.

he is strong quick and tall. he is also a fighter and works hard for his team.

i predict he will do well with us,

“It’s not an easy life in Hackney,” says Watt of the deprived East End borough where he grew up. “A lot of people are doing crime or living on the street but I never liked that life.

“I know quite a lot of footballers that I used to play alongside on the local concrete pitch and they took the wrong path.

“Some of them are smoking or selling drugs but these days they say to me ‘make sure you stick with football, it’s healthy and it helps you look after your family’.

“I wouldn’t want to be on the street where you can end up in prison and on drugs but I know that if I wasn’t here [at Arsenal] that’s what I’d be doing.”
After the game, Arsene Wenger had some words of advice for the young star. “He told me not to get big headed and told me to make sure I take my chance instead of living to regret it.”

Just mention Wenger’s name to Watt and you can see in the impact the Frenchman has on him.

“Aaah, he’s very intelligent; very wise,” Sanchez enthuses. “We all look up to him like he’s our dad. Whatever he says you know he means it. He gives you a lot of confidence.”

In turn, the Arsenal manager has been hugely complimentary of Watt. “I like him because he is a little bit of a street player,” Wenger told the club’s official website at the end of last year.

“He makes fantastic runs, he is an aggressive striker or maybe the word is a committed striker – and he always finds resources to be dangerous and he works hard for the team.

“He’s very close to the first team and I believe he will really be a threat for the strikers [in the Arsenal squad].”

So why has Watt gone out on loan for a month to League One strugglers Southend? “It was my decision to go,” the youngster explains.

“They’ve got six games in one month so it’s a chance for me to get fit and get away from the cushion of Arsenal life and see the real life.

“Anything can happen: injuries could mean that one day I’ll be playing in that league so for me it’s good experience.”

In the short term, Watt aims to use the loan spell to help him recover from an injury and then go back to Arsenal and push on for a first-team place.

“By the end of the season I want to be closer to the first-team and make sure that I’m regularly on the bench,” he says.

“But whatever happens I feel very lucky to be at Arsenal so I’ll always work hard.”

oh how sweet watt, now show us some goal scorring

  12. B.B.K.

we need someone to score goals not run round like a cunt,we all know he’s going to be frustrating like bendtner infront of goal.

  13. Ray in SF

Eduardo starting the season impressively, then the Celtic shit storm

so it’s not lack of talent or ability — which might be the worries after that accident

don’t know what it is, but if he lost it so easily maybe he can get it back just as quick

I think he’ll have a storming game against Porto…a nice away win will settle everyone’s nerves

Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas has reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Barcelona to sign for the La Liga giants at the end of the season, according to Spanish daily Sport.

Reports emanating from a Spanish radio yesterday stated that Arsenal and Barca still need to agree on a fee for the 22-year-old, with the Gunners obviously reluctant to part with their star midfielder.
    —————————————

so there you have it …

living fucking proof project youth doesnt work , FUCK ! only said this season cesc looks to be striking some start of form , like another gear ..

i also said 3 years ago , once cesc comes good he’ll be off !

is it just poor timing or was this always the way it was going to work out !?

i bet you those cunts on the board dont spend every cent of cescs proceeds either ..

this means to me cesc has given them the nod !
i dont blame him really , we are just slowing him down …

his career only lasts 10 years , it seems our club has no URGENCY time – frame wise …

  15. David

Agreed. As soon as Bendy and the rest come good they’ll be off too…Look at Hleb, Flamini…etc…etc…

Which is why we’re always a nearly team.

  16. ethangunner

the master plan is more about maximizing income / revenue , than silverware and fans …

this club is run like a 2 bit operation, they talk about long term sustainablity ..

what good is that if your a nobody with a big stadium ?!

  17. Gooby

    bbk

i think he will score more goals in the EPL. the whore wasn’t a goalscorrer at monaco but with us he reached 30 goals a season.

chamakh will score goals with us cause we play better than bordeaux creating chances

  18. big dave

I don’t blame Cesc one bit, good luck to him
No one can deny him his move.

The board must spend the dosh, and find a very very good replacement, hard but bloody important.

Bring him in to play along side Ramsey, Denilson to wolves

  19. A

It’s a nothingy Spanish radio thing, which started from Marca a couple of days ago. It even says that there’s no fee agreed, which shows how silly it is. If there’s ANY truth in it then we’ll be reporting them for tapping up very soon!

  20. Gooby

spanish press comes up with this story every week, we should get used to it.

the ugly thing is we have become a selling club. nobody would have made rumours about our players in the old good days

  21. David

    Thats the truth.

So i wonder who would be off this summer that we’re selling.

Rosicky? Arshavin? The rest are quite shyte dont know who would buy them.

    Clichy?

    BBK

Did you really expect cesc to stay ?of course i don’t expect him to stay,it just pisses me off that we will lose another top class player and sign a shit one

  23. A

It’s the typical thing when Barca or Madrid have their presidential elections, both potential presidents putting in big players as election promises! This year both Godall and Rosell, the two candidates, are just going on about cesc what with his being the current superstar. In reality it means very little, only the summer will tell if Cesc wants to go, no agreement can be done before then anyways because nothing can happen until a president is elected!

  24. Gooby

    gambon

ok, but with cesc it is almost everyday. even barca players goin the press to talk about it. it is a massive lack of respect to our club

  25. ethangunner

    oh come on A !

    read the signs !
why the rumor of offering him an improved contract only just prior ?

    put 2 and 2 together man !

  26. A

sorry rosell isn’t the candidate don’t think, think he’s laporta’s transfer blokey, and godall is laporta’s chosen candidate as such. Not sure who the other one in the running is?

  27. B.B.K.

and chamkah will score goals, will he fuck how many has he got this season and they are the best team in france at the moment.

  28. A

or is rosell the other candidate? i don’t know enough about catalan football politics!

we supposedly wrote today to barca to tell them to stop the public pursuit of cesc

  29. Gooby

just hope we sell denilson and almunia and get BETTER PLAYERS to improve this team. i don’t care if they are big names i just want quality stuff.

i wouldn’t mind letting clichy go to madrid too.

    theo out on loan.

  30. ethangunner

he wants out .. wouldnt you ..

A you’re going to have to realize sooner or later wengers 5 year plan has been a total balls up ..

it is going to be hard to keep the best players in the world at a club who ends up trophy less every season !

AA will be next to go ..

  31. Gooby

we all know what happens after cesc leaves.

ramsey is quality, he can fill the vacant role, if we get someone it will kill him.

  32. ethangunner

i don’t care if they are big names i just want quality stuff.
    ——————————–

your going to need some QUALITY STUFF to smoke if we have another season like this one :)

  33. zeus

Why in God’s name would Fab4 stay. No way would he play second fiddle to Xavi and INiesta.

As a static playmaker like Xavi, Cesc has had the passing ability of his comrade since he arrived at the club.

Now he has added a bit of a Gerrard-esque quality to his game breaking from midfield and scoring goals.

Dude has been hear for seven years now and he is no closer to winning a trophy. I love fab4 but it would be a travesty for a once in a generation player like our captain to stay and win nothing out of some misguided sense of loyalty to his manager.

  34. A

I’d be surprised if Cesc went this summer BBK, I reckon it’ll be next year. This year is too early, he wouldn’t get in their team, and isn’t gonna leave to go and be sub somewhere.

Arshavin would be a loss, but I’d be ok with him going before a few others, though I’d rather he didn’t go obviously. Don’t think he will this summer either, he’s taken time to settle in London, learnt the language, settled in wife and kids etc, would be a bit soon for him to go.

  35. A

If Cesc was injured now, with our current squad, I reckon Nasri would take his role ahead of Ramsey at the moment. I’d be happy with Nasri there, though obviously he’s no Cesc

  36. B.B.K.

a-trust me he will go,even if it’s to sit on the bench, him just being part of a team winning trophy’s will be enough for him.

  37. ethangunner

I’d be surprised if Cesc went this summer BBK
    ——————————–
well now A has said that im sure he’s leaving :)

  38. Gooby

ramsey will be ready 2 years from now imho.

replacing shite with quality would make this team lot more competitive.

if they are players comming in i’d like the right players to go out as well

  39. zeus

Arshavin has been a disappointment this season as well. Even b4 his move to CF.

If he thinks his lack of tracking back and being anonymous for 70mins and exploding into life for 20 would work at barca he would have another thing coming.

  40. A

Pedro I’d say it’s more like asking him to stop stalking your girlfriend….

They’re currently walking a close line to doing something illegal, that we could report them to UEFA for.

    ——————————————————-
Couldn’t disagree more. His playmaking skills plus now he scores at a far better rate than Iniesta. NOt saying he is better than Xavi and Iniesta but he wouldn’t just sit on thebench until one is out injured at all.

  42. big dave

Have you not noticed the trend here ?

Since we moved stadia we have had to sell.

Every year we have to pay a debt of £20 mill to the banks intil 2021

    Get use to it guys

  43. A

I’m not saying he’d never start zeus, barca rotate a fair bit, but on a regular basis there’s no chance either Xavi not Iniesta are going to be sitting on the bench, which means that there’s no chance of Cesc being a regular starter for them.

They’re currently on course to have an unbeaten season, there’s no way they’d break up that central midfield duo who pull all the strings, even for someone as good as Cesc.

  44. Gooby

arshavin used to play better last year, i agree.

he isn’t good on regular basis week in week out, and even in the same game he got ups and lots of downs

  45. gambon

It would give Barca the ultimate ability to rotate in MF though.

Any 2 of Xavi, Iniesta & Cesc could play. And with 50-0 games per season they would all play 40 times.

He wouldnt need to worry about playing.

  46. zeus

God I hope Barca dont go undefeated. Thats our only claim to fame at the moment.

    @ big Dave

Doesn’t the stadium generate enough money tocover a measly 20m, what am I missing?

  47. David

The Stadium makes us 50m. The dept is 20. We make a 30m profit from the Stadium alone.

Why we sell our best players make no sense in this world other than to make youth players embarrass themselves enough times so that they when they eventually decide to come good….we sell them.

Players are not undroppable. And if there are not undroppable they arent going to fight for the team.

  48. David

    Honestly

When Fabregas finishes playing with Spain at the WC. I think it would be very hard to come back to Song and denilson.

  49. big dave

Plus we get TV money, but that is what i heard from a share holder about the £20 mill .

Gambon, good call about the replacement players.

    Laters, bed calls

  50. zeus

From now till the end of the season I’ll be praying that Wenger goes.

He has lost the plot. I still maintain we are not that far behind. Rijkaard or Hiddink could coach us to victory.

Wenger assertion about improvement doesn’t not stand up to scrutiny. Even if RVP was fit, he is no Henry 30 goals a season striker that could facilitate us constantly outscoring the opposition because of a sketchy back 5.

This team in my opinion has peaked and their psychology of knowing they are distinctly second best to Chelsea and Man Utd will further add to their own insecurities about bridging the gap w/out purchases.

  51. David

Cant say that i blame Arshavin for anything…

Bar Cesc and Arhavin I cant think of one thing this team has been doing right.

  52. ethangunner

they are looking to add cesc into the mix with the other 2 , and im sure if cesc is patient enough to still be here , im sure he will also wait for his shot also @ barca …..

besides he is just starting to come good now ..
    i mean GOOD !

before this season he wasnt ready ..
this last 6 months have been a huge improvement
    game-wise for cesc …

he can turn a game now …
    regularly !

if i was barca i would want him too !
they plan to phase one of the others out ..
    and smart move …

they will have 10 of the best years of service from cesc ..

so i suppose barca can say thanks Arsene for being a selling club and nurturing this player for us !

we wouldnt of had the patients ourselves to do it .! (as we always field NOW players ! )

PS : we will be back for AA on a free in a season or 2 :)

Ah…….The WC. No doubt instead of looking to improve the side Wenger will be doing commentary for al-jasir(sp) or some french station.

  55. zeus

    @ A

I love your optimism. But I’m under no illusions now. Chelsea let us back in with some poor performances after they beat us. They are too experienced to make the same mistakes twice.

Man Utd kicking into gear will further add as motivation for them as well. Plus I’m certain we will drop points whether by poor performances and injury and Wenger putting out weakened teams because of the CL.

  56. incesc

    zeus

what make you think the board would get in rikjard or hiddink when the current board leave us with almunia in goal, denilson blah blah blah all the same old shit…

Lets except we are on different terms to all the other top clubs.

we wil get a half arsed manager if arsene leaves, just like we have a half arsed team now and a half arsed transfer policy.

  57. zeus

    @ incesc

If that was the case the Emirates would become a red and white elephant. Some shite manager could not fill that stadium with 60 thous. a week.
If the board only understand dollars and cents that is motivation enough to make sure a class manager comes in.

  58. ethangunner

gerrard for cesc and you feel pool are scrapping for points to get back up, this game will be no push over of a game …..

we cant even get results from stoke FFS !

  59. incesc

arsene wenger cannot fill the stadium with 60,000 a week at the moment. Its not been full most of the season.

All the more reason to cut costs on the next manager.

  60. zeus

    Spot on Ethan.

Quite how anyone feels confident that we can go on to win all remaining games is beyond me.

i thought the idea was to sell off all the invicible’s , not sell off all the invincible’s and all there replacements as well ..

we are left with the bottom of the barrel , the players no one wanted …

or too cac’ed to want because they are always visiting rosicky ..

  64. zeus

Read one of Arseblog’s comment earlier. Wenger has failed to sign a striker when we actually need one. A man who for years has collected so many strikers even when the priority was a defender.

If thats not the sign of a man out of touch…….

  65. incesc

    zeus

OUR BOARD DOES IT ON THE CHEAP.

THATS WHY THEY LOVE ARSENE WENGER, why they hired arsene wenger when he was an unknown.

Arsenal are over, until the rich owners and sugar daddies leave we will not compete any more.

Look at it rationally. We are on a pretty big downward spiral from the invicibles. Now we go into games with chelsea expecting to lose. We used to have a massive unbeaten record against chelsea.

Man U have won the league 3 times and the champions league since we last won anything. They now play us knowing they will win.

No one in the club ever reacts to this, they just feed us the same excuses.

we arent about to change, we are heading downwards while man city are on a pretty big ascent.

We need to start re assessing our hopes as fans because this shows no signs of changing, it just gets worse and worse.

  66. David

The worst thing about ManU is that they were gutter shyte until that Carling cup Semi-final. Lost the FA cup to leeds and were putting in hapless performances in the league.

I really need to stop talking bout the FA cup :(

  67. zeus

    Incesc

Wtf happens when Wenger decided to fuck off then. Should we expect Steven fucking McClaren to step in or maybe they just promote Liam Brady and hope for a Guardiola effect w/out spending money of course.

  68. A

zeus I wouldn’t say experience – Chelsea just aren’t THAT good! They’ve struggled all season away from home at the smaller sides.

I don’t think we’ll win the league, but certainly wouldn’t give up hope just yet.

I don’t feel that we’ll win it at all, my heart tells me there’s no chance, but analysing all the facts, my head tells me that there is! It’s usually the other way round!

  69. incesc

    zeus

I dont have answers, but i know we wont get in someone like hiddink.

The problems go much deeper than wenger. Otherwise he would have had pressure put on him after the champions league exit last year.

Since then he has weakened his squad in the transfer market. If the people in charge cared about arsenal on the pitch they would have never allowed that. So why would they get in a manager like hiddink??????

  70. incesc

    A
“Chelsea just aren’t THAT good! They’ve struggled all season away from home at the smaller sides.”

they have hammered us 3 times in a row.

what does that say about us.

I hate the way arsene and arsenal corporate football club is slowly eroding the minds of all arsenal fans.

its not about money or “pretty football” its about competing at the top level, and winning games. With fans like you who needs enemies. Chelsea hammered us AGAIN. lets wake up and change things before its too late

  71. A

Not sure about that gambon, if you don’t take the fixtures into account then that’s the case.

Their home record is absolutely superb, but their away record is pretty poor, and the only teams they’ve played in the top 6 are us and City, they’ve not even played Everton, Spuds, Utd, or Liverpool away yet.

I still think they’ll win the league, with a decent sized gap, but far from impressive champions overall imo.

Though obviously if they break out of their poor away form and beat the above teams, then they’ll more than deserve it.

    How’s that defending anything incesc?!

You said what does it say about us, and that’s what it says about us!

I’d say we aren’t “corporate money making arsenal” though – quite the opposite.

We were having a debate on here the other day about it, started by the pre season tours, and the fact that we stay close to the uk, rather than taking the big money and going on inter-continental, marketing campaigns!

We’re still a football club, rather than a brand that gets violently marketted throughout the world, at the expense of the footballing side of things, and the soul of the club.

Whether that’s a good thing or a bad thing is up to debate, alot of people the other day seem to think it’s a bad thing, and that they’d rather we took the money by going on tours, got in big money backers, spent loads of money etc.

I prefer things as they are, though I’d prefer us to be the best as things are! I’d still rather the club stayed as it was and didn’t win things though than sold it’s soul. I fear we will start going to the states, and east Asia though, and when it does happen i’ll be very opposed to it.

All i care about is the football, not the brand recognition, not the reputations, not the gossip, not the big money signings. Those are all things that I’d prefer not to exist in football!

  73. incesc

you say we havent sold our soul and yet the club tout club level to fans like me who would love a season ticket but cant afford it, while a mate of mine from uni can afford a season ticket to man u…

On the field we arent like Man city or Chelsea with regards to transfer policy but when it come to seats for fans we far exceed them.

  74. David

The pre-season thing isnt much of a debate imo..

A tour would do Arsenal a world of good.

There is no evidence to suggest that it is a disadvantage to any of the top teams. Except ofcoarse extra money in the bank is a disadvantage?

  75. AA23

If Barcelona want Cesc tell them they can have him for 80 million.
Watch them shut the fuck up.
plus if they are stupid enough to pay it we can then go ahead and not spend any of it.

  76. David

Coming to America…is a good thing. Especially when you win. The amount of Utd fans that dont know anything about anything increase because they win things.

Heck. SAF even signed an Asian in the team for marketing purposes.

  77. incesc

when you continously fuck some one over and never get a reaction, something has to break and arsenal is about to break, big time.

6 years ago selling tickets was too easy, and now rich neutrals arent going to pay big money to come and see arsenal. Arsenal built the Emirates for rich non fans.

  78. AA23

I’m not saying I’d sell him for 40 mil David. But our greedy cunt of a board would wank themselves dry and sell him.

  79. AA23

    why would he leave?
Because we are shit and Barcelona aren’t.
Why would he stay? to get mugged off again like the rest of us?
Imagine playing with the some of the wank we have. Must be sickening.

  80. ethangunner

cesc is 50 mil .. think figures were already stated … i think thats a pretty accurate amount also ..

but will wenger spend it ALL ?

    no chance ..

  81. A

I don’t follow the logic there AA23, our board are greedy, so they’d sell Cesc for less than we could get for him?!

Anyways, I’m off now, nite people

  82. ethangunner

it will be – oh nasri has the skills ..

and with AA back in the midfield well who knows ..

it could even be him … you never can tell with wenger , but i can tell you it will be jack – ramsey- or denilsons turn to step up !

oh that would be classic .. sell cesc for 50 mil , replace him with denilson !

wow i could be wenger :)

  83. David

Certainly. We cannot show Carlo Ancelotti [that we can spend large sums in the market] because Chelsea can lose £150m and we cannot live like that. Football lives in an artificial world at the moment. We have to live in a realistic world at Arsenal, and we are very proud of that.

    ————————————–

If we make a 30m profit from the stadium alone for the last 5 years disregarding the sales of the likes of Henry and the 40m made this summer.

    That would be 30m * 5 = 150m.

I swear…Wenger cannot tell the truth to save his life.

Well maybe he’s lying to save his job.

  84. ethangunner

all this throwing 120k at cesc to be arsenals MOST BIGGEST SALARY EARNER EVER , talk was just a desperate last ditch effort to keep him here ..

this story links to the cesc pay increase a week ago ..

i would say its more pointing to there being an element of truth to it than not , either that or its fluky timing ..

and the writing the letter to barca is just the icing on the cake to me ..

cesc say when he wanted to leave he would tell us , so you know what might happen next…

  85. ethangunner

    say = said

    sorry AA23 :)

but the point im making is , i think it was obvious to us cesc didnt look happy , he is in good form though !

    real good form !

its sort of our luck for this to happen ..
thats another reason it must be true :)
