The thing about the Gallas challenge was that in real time it didn’t look like anything really and even in the replay you clearly see the ball in close proximity which means he made a genuine attempt to get the ball but of course that won’t be highlighted just like that cunt Taylor’s hair pull and knee across Cesc’s neck wasn’t highlighted. I even had a man poo mate on talking shite about how that challenge is comparable to what happened to Eduardo, bloody joke really when in one incidence one was close to the ball while Taylor wasn’t even close to the ball.

Just got in from the game, we were dreadful for the first 35 mins after that we dominated. Not seen any replays of the Gallas challenge yet, however watching it live nothing wrong with it as far as I could see and the ref obviously agreed. People won’t like this but Kevin Davies was was superb in the air tonight and held the ball up really well, on this evening performance only far better than Bentner, however Bendy has time on his side.

The ref was terrible today, so many fouls by Bolton that he just let go, and when he did give them he didn’t book deserved challenges, or systematic cynical fouling by them.
ethan Arshavin was imo the worst player on the pitch in the first half. Improved second half, but still far from his best, and certainly not one of our top 4 players!
Vermaelen likewise I thought had a poor game by his standards. Davies fouls like anything and gets away with it, but Vermy really couldn’t get anywhere near him.
Cesc was out of this world though, amazing.
Rosicky was good, but not amazing imo.
Eduardo had a pretty good game, linked the play up very well, and was very strong with his back to goal, turned their defenders and created space for the players around him. Scoring boots aren’t there yet, but all round game getting better with every game, and physically looking stronger and stronger.
Denilson did some very good things, but his tackle for the pen was absolutely terrible, and his passing was off. Just back from injury though, can’t expect him to be totally sharp.
Almunia didn’t put a foot wrong today.

ethan im Arshavin was VERY poor first half.
Nothing to do with being marked etc. In situations where he had loads of time and space, and obvious passes on, he was just getting them wrong. Poor decision making at times, but even when he made the right decisions, he was just off his guage, couldn’t get the right weight on passes, under or over hit the majority of them.
Eduardo had a good game today, almost scored with one over the bar, and a good chance after a Cesc run. His link up play is superb, and he’s getting into goalscoring positions, as well as creating chances for others. He set up Arshavin’s goal too.
IMO Eduardo > Arshavin today.
Arshavin did a couple of good things, backheel for Cesc shot, and the turn at the end was amazing, though the failure to pass for a Theo tap in was attrocious, and incredibly selfish.
His touch and passing was just very off today, which is a pity.
I agree about Cesc, he’s become pretty unplayable. If he leads us to the title and Champs League, Spain win the world cup too he has to be in with a shout of world player of the year!

I stand by my comments about Denilson re his 1st half. He was irresponsible. Whether that is a trait he has coz he still needs to grow up is debateable. But, if you cast your eye over this blog 2 years ago you will see the same sort of stuff being written about him as per the 1st half v Bolton was written.
But the boy became a man in the 2nd half, appeared to concentrate on the task @ hand & bingo the desired result was achieved. I bet Le Gaffer would have given him a rocket @ half time, would that make AW fickled

I said I don’t think we have enough to win the league, I stand by it. Bolton had more chances than I care to mention, Bolton ladies and gentleman, that means in the hands of better teams this could have been a different story. I know that people are going to slate me for it, but I want to win just as much as the next person, I just am not blind to our weaknesses. We need a top striker, Eddie is going to take some time and a new goalkeeper, if we can get a bone cruncher in midfield I will be happy. Get those and we can win. End of.
