Are ballet dancers tougher?

by & filed under Uncategorized.

Pedro supplied me with this little piece yesterday via a Grover called John.

Last summer principal ballerina Tamara Rojo suffered a career threatening ankle injury. She was recommended to consult an expert in such injuries in Cuba. In 3 weeks she was back dancing. If one of the world’s great ballerinas can be swiftly returned to fitness to perform in this most physically demanding art form, is it too much to hope that the same can be done for Robin Van Persie?

It does beg the question, are our specialists rubbish? I have been to the ballet and they jump around far more than our footballers do, perhaps we should explore ballet doctors rather than horse placenta ones in Serbia, just a thought.

One site says we are after 30 year old Craig Bellamy, as a stopgap I would have a punt, my only concern is his ability to disrupt a changing room, hmmmm.

Denilson says he can take over from Song and has just extended his contract, I think Denilson will turn out okay, my question is when, it’s no secret he doesn’t play for Brazil so they don’t rate him yet either. I was heartened to hear he will support England second though, nice touch Denilson. I would love to know what we pay him!

Liverpool won yesterday and that’s pegged Villa back so if we can beat Portsmouth tonight we can put a gap in there, so that is good, if we can’t beat Portsmouth tonight we will never win the Premier league, I expect an emphatic win and I also expect to see more of a Carling Cup side.

We did that last season and thumped them, we need Ramsey to be at his best, it’s him I think will take over from Cesc’s and he needs a big game, Arsenal expect Aaron, and I believe we’ll see it.

Maybe he’ll partner Walcott with Vela instead of Eduardo and Arshavin, mix it a bit, I have high hopes that we’ll soon see the Eduardo we bought, talent like that doesn’t disappear overnight.

In theory if we keep winning we could end January as league leaders, two more days to see if we are going to sign a striker early doors, The Sunday papers should be fun eh!

We are now being talked about as title contenders, first time in a long time, feels good doesn’t it.

Have a great day Grovers, I know you’ll enjoy tonight.

    “sack the board….sack the board”

Funnily enough if we dont spend some money in the next 1month ill be singing the same!!

  2. Kevin

Fed up with wigan boosting up everyone’s goal difference, can’t wait to get some of the action when we play them again.

Evening Grovers, shouldn’t be any gripes about that performance, a well deserved 4-1…..as usual, we could have scored more.

Can this really be arsenal? A goal from outside the box, a header from a cross and a free kick…hmmmmm

Nail on the head. But why not, squeaky clean Tiger Woods screws a million cheap bitches. Up is down, left is right it seems.

We’ll miss SOng. I can’t see how we can control games in midfield with him out. He’s slowly becoming world class. Is there a CDM in the premier league that you’d choose over Song? Essien is the only one I can think of, put his positioning and passing lets him down a bit.

After all, Essien was the reason Barca got to the CL final

    Fuck me!

If geoff doesnt bow down and admit he is 100% WRONG about Song not being good enough (apologies if he has already had that “Road to Damascas” moment!) then I’m a Dutchman…

Sho, who wants to haff shum kinky shecks??

  7. zeus

‘Great goal Song’ said through grit teeth. You Song Haters are a joke.

And where are the Diaby haters too. No problem slating them when they are awful, but give credit where its due.

  8. ManGoonian

Diaby has been playing wicked too…

Ramsey was class and apart from a lapse, that was an assured, prefessional performance…

Andf we soooooo miss a striker dont we???

  9. finestcuts

I’ve been to the dam Mangoonian, some of those @ladies@ are scary when they wave at you……makes you wanna run for cover to the nearest Dutch greasy spoon, shame they don’t have them here.

  10. gambon

It would be criminal not to strengthen in the next few days!

We are sitting pretty, have a good run in, and have no financial worries. Get the chequebook out Arsene!!

  11. ManGoonian

Song is the all round midefielder innit…

Oh jeeezusss, the twat Keys is saying, if Pompey score when its 2-0 instead of 3-0 it could be different!!! ha fookin ha!

Gotta love merson… he is effin Bi-Polar!

  12. SUGA3

    woooo-fucking-hooooo!!!

good result, good reaction from Arsene after conceding the goal…

dunno what injections/implants were used on Marmites, but can we use this on the rest of them?

I pray to God Wenger doesn’t follow that line of thinking. We need a good big, strong CF in now. We’ve been on a good run but the Chelsea game still rings in the mind.

    finest;

I 1st went to the Dam when I was 16… Smoked a lot of skunk and had a permanent, erm, well you know…. when I saw the ladies in the windows wearing eff all! They looked kinda gorgeous to me at the time! :D

  15. ManGoonian

    zeus;

Make your mind up dude… Are you part of the positive crew, or a worrier???

Course we need a striker… I was being facetious! The fact we are on courzse to score 100+ goals is immaterial, innit…

  16. Honest Bill

Gambon. Kind of. Afew of my friends over here flew out yesterday, to meet a couple of their friends out there. So there will be a few of us. Should be awesome

  17. Evo in Oz

yep great xmas and all, still having a few beers. will stay on the low down tonight for new years, not really fussed about that! Cant wait to play that bolton game and get the game in hand out of the way!

  18. Stu

There Wenger goes. Saying “everyone wants us to buy a striker but we have no problem scoring goals”. Dont be a cunt…buy a fucking striker!

  19. GoonerJohn

So great win today and next week we finally play that game in hand .. I expect us to beat bolton easily just as we did today !
Now let’s see if wenger decides to buy or not !

  20. Man

Yeah Mangoonian SONG IS THE GREAT wouldn’t swap him for any other DM atm…well deserved MOTM and long overdue if you ask me!

  21. A

As was i WB – guessing he could get a start against West Ham. Wonder what sort of team we put out, Ramsey and Vela are certain to start, Rosicky probably too, and Song, then wonder if it’ll be a Wilshere, Merida type team or a fullish side
