He may buy, Cesc says he’s going and Owen says he’ll play football tonight.

by & filed under Uncategorized.

Interesting day today, the boss says he may buy, Arsene, replace ‘may’ with ‘will’ we are on their shoulders but we could easily slip back to 8th, by your own admission.

Yes the bollocking turned it around, but it was far from convincing, Liverpool were more shit than we were good, we got away with it and the one player that dug us out of the do-do was the one player you paid a lot of money for. So that really illustrates what buying class players achieves. We need players, we lost Robin, Ade and Bendtner, Theo, Eduardo and Rosicky look fragile, as do all our left backs, and we never replaced Djourou, so in theory that is four or five players short of last season. We are skating on thin ice, so I say get rid of the fringe players like Senderos, Randall and Simpson and buy some class.

That’s no reflection on those players, I like them, but it’s clear they have no future with us, and I think it would be fairer to let them go.

I read that we were in for Van der Vaart and Steven Defour, good call, midfield covered, all we now need is a striker a centre back and a keeper, get the right players in and we can take the league.

If you believe the current crop is good enough then it doesn’t matter about players being cup tied. Does it! That way we’ll have enough cover for all eventualities.

Cesc has told Marca he intends playing for Catalunia, if that’s true then I believe he will go, Ramsey is good cover should something happen, and I wouldn’t want to have an unhappy Cesc, he is very average when he’s unhappy.

Tonight I expect a full squad with maybe Eboue in for Sagna, I think Diaby will get the nod over Denilson and frankly after Sunday, I would give Eboue the nod over Denilson, but don’t hold your breath.

We really need to win tonight as Villa are proving to be the bit you can’t shake off your shoe, if Burnley come out to play, we should easily beat them, they keep talking about how they beat us last time at their gaff, but they forget, that was our youth team, start out like we mean it, shut them down, everytime a team shuts us down, they stop us playing, Coyle will know that and they’ll be up for it, time to show our credentials, beat them, we have Hull, beat them it’s Villa and then Pompey away, by the start of January we could be top, or we could be 8th, it’s your call Arsenal, how much do you want it?

One thing is for sure, we won’t do it with the keeper we have, once again he was at fault, you can see how the defence are nervous everytime the other team gets near our area, we can all see it boss, why on earth can’t you? Let Fabianski loose, at least he commands his area, he is a great shot stopper, and he makes himself big like Given. …Given, £8million, if only…

I think we’ll beat them and I think we’ll go through the year winning. First stop Burnley, come on Arsenal and come on Arsene, time to get the cheque book out.

I hear from many of you that another blog chose to write a post about us again, guys thanks, but you are supposed to be writing about Arsenal not us, we appreciate the hero worship and we know you had a record 50 comments as a result, but the whole point of blogging about Arsenal is to talk about Arsenal. Thanks for the thoughts though. I didn’t read it by the way, so you’re wasting your time if you want me to name you, I won’t.

If anyone wants to put their tickets for Villa on Le Exchange, please do, we still have some Hull ones left.

Have a great day and a better night, destiny draws ever closer and at last we can go into the Christmas fixtures in contention, come on Arsenal!

  1. Jaguar

    Sarcasm, ritesh?
If you expect the manager of one of the best clubs in the world to look forward to the advice,of his footballing director.

  2. A

What’s ridiculous logic Jaguar?! That we’ve got easy fixtures after Feb 11th, and others have hard fixtures, therefore we’re likely to drop less points? Not sure how that’s anything but logical?

We didn’t have the easiest opening fixtures in the league in the slightest, we’ve had tough fixtures most of this season, all our easy fixtures are together after feb 11th

  3. goonermichael

every other manager says the same type of stuff it doesn’t mean shit. The mancs and chav effectively had byes this week. We’ll have more home games later.

  4. SUGA3

    Hull didn’t play today – boo-fucking-hoo…

the problem lies in the fact that our squad depth is just an illusion…

Arsene Knows – yep, he knows that we may find it difficult to beat Hull at home with no ‘ticker’ in the midfield and no recognised striker…

  5. Maciek

Suga, for many Arsenal fans we are better than Barca, and that’s very sad. It’s sad, cos many people claim, we are going in the right direction but for me it’s a road to nowhere( like in the Talking Heads song). 5 years without any trophy and if we slip up, we will be in trouble.

  6. Pat

Burnley have never been shitkickers, so you have no idea of what you’re talking about. They always play their football on the ground.

Opportunity missed yet again. nasri and Cesc should have converted their chances. A goal for them was always going to make the game harder. On this blog, whenever we play shit teams, I always warn not to give them/their fans any encouragement. Every time I’ve said it, we have failed to win.

Its becoming so predictable now. Missed chances, opposition confidence skyrockets, more missed chances = draw/loss

If we beat Villa and Hull, I’ll be a happy gooner again. I hope Cesc and Clichy are back for Villa.

  7. A

Pat if we drop out first points at home (chelsea apart) by failing to beat Hull or Villa then I’m gonna start to get very worried

  8. Maciek

Pat, do You honestly see us winning against Villa? It will be the same crap all over again. MON is a great manager and he will play his game.Without Cesc and Silvestre as our lb it will be HARD. And I don’t even count Almunia cos he is crap.

  9. A

The second half of a season is going to be a test on a number of levels – we’ve played most of the tough teams away, but most of the weak teams at home. Second half of the season is the opposite, so we’ve gotta see if we can play and tear the better teams apart at home, and whether we’ll do better away from home against the easier teams.

  10. SUGA3

    Pat,

sorry mate, but the alleged ‘quality gap’ is just so vast, it should be a walk in the park, but no one should tell the players that

again, same ol’, same ol’: prima donnas thought it was enough to turn up after beating the mighty Liverpool – the difference between today’s game and the WHU one was that this time we were completely outplayed by a much lesser side…

you think we will beat Villa playing like that? think again…

  11. gambon

    A, I agree with you in some ways about the fixture list…but heres the big problem;

    - The second we are under any pressure to win a game, whether its against UTD or Wolves, we will crumble, just like we have in every big game for 5 years.

    We are bottlers.

  12. Lou

I’m not normally one for criticising our players but tonight’s game seriously worried me. OK, I know that we have had a heavy schedule recently but I thought that Almunia, Nasri, Diaby and Walcott were nothing less than pathetic. We lost just about every physical battle, all over the pitch and I think this was a point gained as opposed to 2 points dropped. What had happened to Eduardo ? He looks hesitant beyond belief. The transfer window gives us an opportunity to strengthen and you should always do so when you can when you can. But I am having another one of those deja-vu moments now. As it is, this team ain’t winning anything this season. It has no cutting edge and no-one who can bring others into play in the opponents half. We cannot just rely on the occasional wonder-goal from Arshavin. It’s going to get more physical in the second half of the season and I repeat, I am worried.

  13. Pat

A, Villa will be very tough, especially without Cesc.

I don’t think you’re giving them enough credit. They tore apart Sunderland away!

  14. A

After Feb 11th we’ll have to play Spurs away, and City at home, though I reckon we’ll destroy City at the Emirates.

Apart from those two games we’ve got Sunderland (h), Stoke (a), Burnley (h), Hull (a), West Ham (h), Birmingham (a), Wolves (h), Wigan (a), Blackburn (a), Fulham (h)

They aren’t absolute gimmies, but there isn’t even a Burnley away in terms of how tough they are

  15. Maciek

Gambon, we are just NOT GOOD ENOUGH.You won’t win a trophy with a keeper like Almunia even if Terry, Nesta and co will be playing in front of him.

  16. SUGA3

    gambon,

    my point exactly…

anyone thinks that PV4 would have allowed such performance if he was the skipper?

    didn’t think so…

enough of the carrot bullshit, time for some stick…

  17. goonermichael

    gambon
    Like we crumbled at Anfield?
The mancs lost there and burnley.

Don’t get me wrong I don’t think we were any good and I’d like to see almunia and walcott sold but it’s not the end of the world.

  18. Pat

and SUGA, you’re giving Villa too much credit. Go watch Villa vs. Burnley, then come back and talk.

It’ll be tough but not as hard as Burnley away imo. If we take our chances, then I think we can win.

Traore and Clichy should be back for Villa, Along with Rosicky and possibly cesc

  19. A

It’ll be interesting Pat, Chelsea are the only team who have come to the Emirates and not gotten a hell of a beating. Villa are better away from home because they’re a counter attacking team, but I do expect us to create a fair few chances in the first half, and it’s just down to whether we can take them.

Cesc was only a niggle really wasn’t it? He walked off and didn’t go straight down the tunnel so 10 days is a good time to get him 100%

  20. A

I don’t see why not Maciek? If things go just as they have so far this season then we’ll be 5-6 points behind, and well in the running.

  21. A

gambon we’ve not bottled every big game, we’ve just not won them consistently, we’ve still won some of them, lost some of them

  22. SUGA3

    Pat,

Villa are much more direct, they don’t do crab football, but simply go for the throat like we used to…

it was really frustrating to watch our attacks hitting the brick wall on the 18 yard line :(

    did we penetrate? fuck no…

did Jensen have any serious save to make in the 2nd half?

  23. Pat

Cesc has a hammy problem that he had against LPool, towards the end I think. Wenger won’;t risk him against Hull, but hopefully it is only a niggle.

Gameslike West Ham away, United away, Sunderland away, and today hurt the most cause we could have won all of them. Shame. We really need to practice our finishing.

  24. gambon

    goonermichael,

Milan were a very poor team at that point.

Big games are the likes of Liverpool in CL QF, Birmingham away to go 8 clear, Man Utd in the CL SF, Chelsea in the FAC SF.

If we’re so good in big games can you tell me when we last won something???????

    K thanks.

  25. A

SUGA3 to compare Villa to the Arsenal of old is blasphemy! They’re the most negative team in the top half of the table! 10 men behind the ball, then have quick players running to break, and then dive to win free kicks, that’s all they are!

  26. SUGA3

Pat – just to quote 2 of your posts on Villa written within the space of 3 minutes:

    23:45

‘…I don’t think you’re giving them enough credit. They tore apart Sunderland away!…’

    23:48

‘…and SUGA, you’re giving Villa too much credit. Go watch Villa vs. Burnley, then come back and talk…’

    double standards, methinks?

  27. Pat

Jensen was lucky as fuck in the 2nd half when he went out, only for the ball to deflect back towards him off a combo of Eduardo/CB.

I hope Heskey plays against us. He’s much worse than Carew and MON plays his favorites.

We should be able to beat them, but you never know with us.

  28. goonermichael

    Gambon
You think we fell apart at anfield and Birmingham? Both of those games were decided by wrong penalty decisions.

  29. SUGA3

    A,

I did not put them on the same shelf quality wise, I just hate the lack of directness, penetration and players with a set of balls big enough to take responsibility…

  30. Lou

Please Arsene, buy a couple of players who will give us a bit of shape. What position does Nasri actually play and what is he bringing to our game for such an expensive player? How much longer can Walcott be accommodated? Will Eduardo ever be the player he looked like becoming before that terrible injury? Why give another expensive contract to Rosicky. Vela too. Will he ever come really good? And Diaby. He returns from injury, has 3 or 4 indifferent games, then a good one immediately prior to getting injured again. We surely must be able to do better.

  31. Pat

    SUGA, methinks not.

Too much credit from one person and not enough credit from another. Learn to comprehend, yet again.

Especially since your basing our upcoming game against them on this performance. SO I said go watch Villa-Burnley. Understand,or are you still confused?

gambon, Brum away was 100% down to the ref. They can’t give a penalty like that in the 93rd minute without being 100% sure. I don’t blame our lads for that. Inept refereeing in England. What else is new?

  32. gambon

    Goonermichael,

Birmingham away was down to a Clichy mistake, if he’d done his job there wouldnt have been a contentious decision in the first place.

Liverpool was our pathetic ability to hold a lead, and big fat Kolos clumsiness. We had the lead in the tie 3 times, and gave it away 3 times, and were soundly beten in the end. Pathetic.

You didnt answer when the last time we won anything?

  33. Pat

He added “It’s too early to really say how long he will be out for but it does look serious. He definitely won’t be fit for Saturday’s game against Hull”

  34. A

Pat where you get that from??

on Arsenal.com it says “He is injured but for how long I don’t know. It is a hamstring. He will not play on Saturday.”

    Nowt about serious?

  35. goonermichael

I know when we last won something? You think liverpool soundly beat us? I’m off it’s depressing enough watching some of our players without the without being reminded we’ve not won anything or won a big game for 5 years

  36. SUGA3

    Pat, whatever…

be realistic – without Cesc we are likely to come out like this:

    ————Fab (I hope)————–
    –Bac——Willy——TV——-Sly—-
    —————–Song—————–
    ——Ramsey————-Diaby———
    —Nasri——–Arshy——–Vela——

Villa are quite solid, much better than Burnley…

and like I said before, don’t you ever insult me…

nigdy sie tak do mnie nie odzywaj gowniarzu…

  37. Pat

gambon, both the examples were down to poor refereeing. That has nothing to do with us. In big games, refs absolutely have to make the right calls. You can’t blame the team for something the referee does.

    Babel dived, clear as daylight.

Clichy got all ball, clear as daylight

Both in the dying minutes of games.

Note the above, the constant injuries, the fixture list, everything and it really does seem like the footballing Gods are against us. Don’t forget that run after the Birmingham game when we were denied a goal at Boro(tied that game), denied a goal at Wigan (0-0), Evra dived for a Hrgreaves free kick at OT, and 2 more which I can’trecall atm. All those happened consecutively.

I cannot think of any team in any league that has such bad luck. All recent champions have had a decent amount of luck, we haven’t.

  38. Pat

SUGA, shut up honestly. Its the internet and don’t tell me what to do.

Learn to read and I won’t insult you, simple!

Villa at home is easier than Burnley away. Villa are better AWAY and they were awful against Burnley.

And against Villa, Rosicky, CLichy, and Traore should be back.

    A, goal.com

  39. A

SUGA3 Burnley have a better home record than Villa’s away record, and we’re much better at home too, so it shouldn’t be as tough as tonight, but won’t be easy certainly.

I assume that’s your team for Hull?

I saw the serious thing on sky sports article, I hope they’ve just been selective and added it in, so Cesc is back against Villa

  40. Pat

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said: ‘He is injured, for how long I don’t know. It depends what you call serious? It’s a hamstring. He will not play on Saturday.’

    Here’s a different one

  41. SUGA3

    Pat,

you’re so simple – ‘Its the internet and don’t tell me what to do’, that is fucking priceless…

    yawn…

    bored now, Mr Know-It-All…

good night to the rest of you ;)

  42. A

If Cesc is out against Villa I could see Nasri playing in Cesc’s role rather than Ramsey, with Rosicky taking Nasri’s role in the front three

  43. Pat

Ahhh, I hate days like today. I was so sure we’d batter them but after we missed those 4 chances, I had a feeling we’d regret it

  44. Pat

Rosicky, Traore, and Clichy should all be back against Villa.

A, what happened in the 1st minute of the game? I started watching from the 5th and I heard we should have had a pen.

  45. Pat

United play Fulham away this weekend.

    No Rio, Vidic, Evans, Brown

Carrick and De laet CB pairing apparently. Hope Fulham win. Zamora’s on fire!

  46. A

Rosicky is borderline whether fit for Hull SUGA

Pat the right back fucked about with the ball, was disposessed by Cesc, who ran into the box from the left, and right right back barged back into him from the side/behind just as he went to shoot, but ref only gave a corner

  47. SUGA3

and that’s the ‘borderline’ thing that’s got me worried, A…

we are simply down to bare bones – Denilson and Clichy developed some back injuries, which just never go away properly, Rosicky and Diaby are in and out of the squad on the regular basis, Dudu and Theo have zero confidence in front of the goal, RvP is out, B52 is out…

playing Sly in LB says it all – things are really getting desperate IMO…

  48. A

Not attacking SUGA3, we’ve had more injuries probably than anyone else ever has this season, but we’ve never been THAT stretched. Even with the injuries we’ve got, we can choose from 2 of Denilson, Song, and Diaby, then Ramsey, Nasri, or Rosicky to replace Cesc, Arshavin, Theo, Eduardo, or Vela in the front three, or Nasri, or Rosicky, whichever one of them doesn’t play in midfield, or both if Ramsey does.

  49. SUGA3

    A,

there must be something wrong about out training methods/diet/whatever – funny thing is that AW does not want our players to bulk up too much, as it would have adverse effect of pace and agility, and then we play crab football, where the pace counts for little and where we could do with some strength to shield the ball a bit better and we would be getting less injuries…

more muscle protects the joints, which results in lesser number of injuries – simple…

back to today’s game – I could not bear to watch their players intercepting our passes due to our players who seem to think they have already ‘made it’ and that the opposition will roll over and let us fuck them over…

shit attitude, methinks – Theo talking crap about defenders being’scared’ says it all…

  50. A

I wouldn’t say it’s that at all SUGA3, not training methods or diet or anything like that.

Agile, tricky players get injured more because of their natural body shape, and the style of play we play means our players twist and turn more, and get kicked more.

Though this season all teams have suffered more injuries than usual, look at utd, or chelsea, essien, drogba, vidic, evans, o’shea, none of these are players lacking in muscle….

  51. SUGA3

    A,

it is more about the frequency of these injuries – all these players you’ve mentioned have been fit for ages beforehand, no?

I just don’t get what is the point of having just small technical players in the squad – it’s one dimensional and easy to contend IMO…

  52. Mike

You know this isn’t sour grapes an all but do you not think that it is mighty bad luck that we get Liverpool away then Burnley away during this busy period and Man Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool get two home games in a row. I mean come on the fixture computer give us a break, we had Sunderland away after the international break where as Man Utd and Chelsea get home games. Hmmm are we seeing a pattern here.

  53. AA23

    The usual excuses I see.
we should have battered Burnley no matter what, how have we become the team that struggles against relegation fodder? When did it become ok to lose or draw to teams like that?
And I dont give a cunt about their other home results, I’m talking about Arsenal not belting the quim out of Burnley and people accepting it and being able to live with it.
    Fuck that.

  54. Pat

Just thinking about all the stupid fucking points we’ve dropped makes me despise these cunts that play for us.

Utd, West Ham, Burnley ALL should have been wins.

    Sunderland at least a draw.

  55. AA23

I guarantee that Fabregas is out until february too.
Our players are mainly bottlers and fucking weeds.
Not sure why Arsenal even bother anymore.

  56. David

Rosicky…yes losing the ball and refusing to apply himself in attack while getting himself injured for every 5 min he plays on the pitch and trying to sign a contract……yes cunt too.

  57. David

    Bar Arshavin. Bar Cesc.

    Theyre all cunts.

Even Gallas and Vermalean. Who i have to say both are so effing erratic with their defending as was the case today it really doesnt help that we have no leadership whatsoever on the pitch.

  58. David

    “Damaging Fixtures”

Oh im sorry Mr. Wenger i thought this was Arsenal FC. And i thought we were playing Burnley the 5th place team in the Championship not Barcelona FFS.

We cant beat burnley we arent good enough simple as.

That being said it would be worthy to note that we had a penalty shout turned down and Arshavin hit the post.

But the second half was more dire than the first.

  59. Pat

At least Verm shows a lot of heart. SO does Cesc. The rest are cunts.

So, I was just talking to my pops and he said Arsenal should really consider Adriano in January.

He’s scored 19 goals in 30 games for Flamengo this season to help them lift their first Brazilian Championship title in 17 years. He probably got a decent amount of assists, since he’s that type of forward.

He was a beast in Italy until his personal problems, but maybe Wenger can get the best out of him. He is ready made for the PL, imo. Knows how to use his body, powerful shot, pretty fast, set pieces, etc.

Plus, we need a striker, and Adriano is worth the gamble.

As a side note, he has 27 goals in 47 appearances for Brazil and, according to the rumors, Dunga wants to call him up for the World Cup.

  60. Pat

David, I thought we were a bit unlucky, but thats no excuse. Still, if we beat Bolton at home(which is our game in hand), we’re 5 pts behind Chelsea.

We can’t stop believing while we’re still in it. Just hope the players still believe, thats the most important thing.

    Theo is shit.

Oh yeah, and Adriano is 27 years old, Arshavin’s age when he came.

Please Wenger, take a risk for once you pussy and I don’t mean a risk a la Bischoff.

Adriano was like Drogba in Serie A. Reignite him. Its a world cup year, he’ll be up for it!

  61. YON

I look at Walcott play and ask myself…. “What the fuck is that guy doing on the pitch.” He contributes about the same as the fucking ball boy standing by the corner flag. He runs off the pitch with the ball, throws the ball to Sagna to take a throw in and goes home to collect 60 grand a week. A stupid, incompetent, feminine player if I’ve ever seen one. Where the fuck are the testicles??

  62. AA23

I think Theo just needs a run of games to get his confidence back. He’s still young and every time he gets back to fitness he gets injured again.
Or the useless cunt could do us all a favour and just fuck off.

  63. ethangunner

why dont we win shit ?

because last night we could have got level on points with man U after the GIH .

GIH= game in hand before you ask .

now there is a 2 point rift , which man U will extend , it was up to us to keep pace with them , so yes pat no excuse ..

we create our own destiny ..
an ineffective midfield due to song and diaby
even theo was terrible , cesc looked good until he went off and with that so did ever having a chance at 3 points .

  64. Pat

    “Even Theo”

I’ve been calling him out since…hmm….a long time ago!

I hate the kid. He talks so much but doesn’t have anything to show for it.

ethan, even though Fulham had a tough game today, I still think they’ll draw or beat United at the Cottage this weekend.

No Vidic, no RIo, No Evans, No Brown a mediocre midfield and Rooney.

Zamora is on fire and Fulham are always a tough nut to crack at home.
Fulham 2-0 United if you need a reminder of last seasons result.

Problem is, we need Chelsea to start dropping.

If we’re within 6 pts on Feb. 11th. I will boldly say we have a really, really good chance of winning it. Until then, our players must believe they can win it and we must support them during the games(the fans who actually go, not me =( )

We’re still in it, definitely. We had 4 unbelievable chances to kill the game off yesterday. We must learn how to finish and have that killer instinct. Burnley were really wobbling and a silly tackle from Verm let them back in it

  65. SUGA3

    Pat,

thought the philosophy was to outscore opposition if that happens, no?

if we can’t score 2 goals against Burnley, then things are looking very, very dire indeed…

the only team that managed a win there was Blackburn – some giants they are (and they scored three goals)…

  66. SUGA3

and I will take a wild guess – Blackburn managed to win thanks to having a few powerful players and determination…

it’s all in the head – Burnley had more determination to compensatefor technical shortcomings, different motivation – playing to stay up against our ‘oh, what the hell, we will finish Top 4 anyway’…

    Not. Good. Enough.

  67. patthegooner

I will be fucking fuming if Almunia starts on Saturday.

He is embarrasing at the moment. Luckilly the Linesman got it wrong, otherwise he would have cost us more points last night.

We simply can’t have this situation where regardless of how shit you are playing, you keep your place. It breeds complacency and Almunia is full of it at the moment.

Get Fab in, and let him make the mistakes. At least he has youth on his side and will learn from them….

  68. patthegooner

Hamstring Iceman. I bet he is out for the whole Christmas campaign.

Suddenly Van Der Vaart does not sound like a bad idea.

Either way the midfield at the weekend will include Song, Denilson and Diaby and that frightens me

  69. Sam

Wenger will still say Almunia saw the flag and he let it go.

The team is playing poor football. No more we have the beautiful easy on the eye football.

In the last 6 games, we played well only vs Stoke

Eduardo looks an average player this season. Walcott too. Those who say he is young must check his wages.

  70. SUGA3

that is 4 points dropped due to complacency so far – if we miss out on the top spot by 3 points, I will not be pleased…

  71. iceman

Not defending por performances, but manure did lose there too.

They’ve done really well at home this season.

So a point isn’t all doom and gloom.

What is is the fact that we could have come back with nothing.

You would think the game at Anfield would have raised their confidence.

    Sigh.

I wonder what the AKBs who call him as Lord have got to say about this draw.

Probably they ll say draw at burnley was a great result. And am sure they have a reason for why the third sub was not used and nothing was changed to try and win the game.

    Another frustrating performance last night.

Yet again, we have to hope other teams slip up, while we will be praying for a win on sat.

burnley as we know are by far not the best team in the pl, but the total determination of there players was there for all to see and arsenal just do not look like a team who realy gives a shit at the moment.

It’s going to be interesting to see how they cope without fab in the next few games.

It’d be interesting to see how:

Chelsea cope without Drogba and Lampard

    United: Rooney and Fletcher

Its always us who have the major injuries to our star players.

On that note, I’m going to sleep. This defeat keeps bothering me. Learn to fucking put the ball in the net when you have a chance ffs!

    Good night everyone

this is where wengers logic is flawed ,
you have a great potential keeper (fab2)
but play a BUM because he is more senior .

the potential keeper will never get the vital games (experience) he needs to become great whilst the BUM takes center stage .. further hampering the young ones development ?

how does that serve us ?

then i suppose in 2 or 3 years after fab 2 hasnt had any games , he turns into a bit like vito from being over looked , and doubts himself , whilst bozo the clown in between the stick can make royal fuck up after fuck up !
and the season goes balls up in the process !
    great youth scheme wenger …

Does anyone wonder why penalty king Sorensen is at Stoke, very experienced at international level, he may get caught occasionally but nothing like the frequency of our Al.What about Joe Hart? English as well, in the second tightest defence in the Prem with average defenders in front of him,……either one alternating with Fab2 is enough surely. Goalkeepers WIN games, by inspiring confidence in the team. If you are a serial fluffer then the rest of them get the jitters ………

Moving for Sorensen could save AW alot of money and would be one of the smartest moves he would have made.

Hughes just came out yesterday and said they have no intention of selling Hart.

The whoel arsenal team play a bit too feminine for me. even take Galas as an example , when he was at chelsea my impressiomn of him was a very hard man. He comes to Arsenal then starts playing like all of them. When was the last time you saw Galas win a strong tackle , taking both man and ball ? its all nice nice , touch here touch there…we will win nothing this year…..trust me
