Mario Balotelli – He would always get into the first team under me.

That was what Wenger said in the press, or that’s what they said he said. Is he that good? I honestly can only say I have seen him once, but what I have heard is he’s a cross between Ade-the-whore and Eto’o, from a sulky point of view, he’s also possibly from Ghana and that’s mean ACN problems and he’s still 19, and frankly we have a plethora of them (19 year olds) so for me it’s a no no. I say possibly, because he also possibly Italian!

Having said that, anyone considered world class would suit me, and there are a number of them that we could get. This crap about no one being available in January is so much shit, where do people get this from, even those that are cup tied put money first, I mean does Numbchucks actually think Bordeaux have a chance to win the ECL, course he doesn’t, he’d jump ship in a heartbeat, as would they all.

Blimey, come the summer transfer window the world cup will be on us, then they’ll be two excuses, the first will be from the player, I don’t want to go until my value doubles at the end of the world cup, then the second will be from the managers, his value has doubled since the world cup and I’m not paying that.

So what I’m saying is there is never a good or a bad time to buy a player. Maybe if our manager just concentrated on buying players when we needed them, we wouldn’t be in this creek, on a boat with no paddle and the smell of shit in the air.

Yesterday saw most blogs at the end of their ‘Arsene knows best tether’ some blogs called those blogs portents of doom, well I can’t fathom how those blogs can be happy to just muddle along with no prospect of winning or competing, they must be very content in life and have zip when it comes to ambition.

Me, I’m a winner, always have been, and when I can’t win I try my nuts off, the one thing I have never done in my entire life, is turn up for something knowing I can’t win, that’s what losers do, and what we turned up with against shitty showed the level of our ambition and how much we don’t care about winning.

If someone can convince me that bringing in a bunch of kids to get humiliated by another team is good for them, I would be delighted to hear how, if we want to see how good these kids are and how they react to situations, play them in the reserves, or give them some time in the first team, if they aren’t good enough for that, they shouldn’t be playing. And tell me why we bother playing in a reserve league if we learn more from the annual 3 match run in the Carling cup.

A few games in the Carling cup shows absolutely nothing, save we can beat the West Brom’s with our youth team but get smashed by Man shitty, well that will do them the power of good won’t it, they’ll have their heads in the air for months.

I wonder if the away fans will get their money back, they must have whistled all the way back home at the manner of our defeat, I expect they were thrilled to spend their money that way.

Any blog out there that sees no wrong with what’s happening at our club, cannot have any real winners commenting on them, they can’t have because winners want to win, not blow smoke up the arses of people that won’t listen.

Why settle for a Cortina when you can have an Aston, why settle for a flat when you can have a mansion, why settle for  4th place when you can win the league, see where I’m going with this?

The only thing that can get our season back on track is if the powers that be address the real issues, fix the defence by buying what we need, fix the midfield by buying and enforcer and fix the forward line by buying a proven goalscorer.

Don’t put this down to bad luck because we always get injuries, don’t put this on Robin because a few weeks ago we had 15 different goal scorers, the problem is the depth of quality in the squad, we have too many ordinary players on obscenely big contracts.

Constantly standing by the management doesn’t make you a better Arsenal fan, it makes you a whipping boy, challenging opinion is healthy, if we didn’t do that, we would still be living in caves, Arsenal football club was formed in 1886, not 1996, some of those followers would do well to remember that, two things in life are sure, the sun will come up in the morning and Arsenal football club will still be around long after Arsene isn’t.

Finally the handshake that wasn’t, that was just plain daft, it just made the manager look like a bad loser, if Hughes called him names, so what, £6 million a year should make that pain go away, it doesn’t create a siege mentality it just sets us up to get the piss taken out of us by other fans for having a petulant manager.

I had a day of it yesterday and I had no defence. Thanks boss.

January is still a month away, we have to work with what we have, tomorrow should be a breeze because it’s Stoke, if we can’t beat them at home then we are in more trouble than I thought, I expect a big win and will talk more about that tomorrow, I needed to get this week out of my system first.

Have a great day Grovers, it’s time to move on!

Super Mario is the business. Id take him in a heart beat. Although Im not sure if he’s what we need.

A bit of Height in the team would do nicely.

    Edwin Dzeko please.

  10. tony

i cant cheat here, even if i want to..

as i said ..its all LUCK ;) enjoy.

    wallah ;) :D

  11. Pedro says:

Arselicked, no one is asking him to enjoy losing… just show a bit of courtesy.

It sets a bad example, causes bad press and it’s a bit embarrassing to watch.

  12. Duke says:

Morning, great post. But Geoff, you reading other blogs? That’s a definite no no.

  13. tonyadamsisgod says:

Nice read Geoff. All bang on the money as usual!

You have to ask yourself this question:

Is it just a coincidence that the plethora of injuries started to accumulate just as Arsene Wenger began to ship out the strong, athletic players whith whom we had so much success and began to bring in the small, nimble kids with whom we’ve just suffered anxiety, depression and heart ache!!

Get the powerhouses back! Being a strong and fit athlete not only means you can perform better against others on the pitch but it also means you will suffer less injuries!!

  14. BigRaddy says:

I agree with the shaking hands point of view. Doesn’t stop the Welsh Northern Monkey being an unpleasant piece of work though.

As to the overhaul of the defence. Well I see AW’s dilemna. We have the personnel.

    Who would you sell/buy?

  15. arsenalDK says:

I would bite their hands off if they offered us Balotelli!

    Or Edin Dzeko :D

  16. BigRaddy says:

    Hey,,,,,, technical probs have disappeared

    Hallelujah !

  17. Pedro says:

Raddy, I couldn’t find any problem with your IP… you may have said a banned word or something? I think it’s ok now.

Raddy… he’s definitely a massive cunt, but surely Wenger could have been the bigger man?

  18. Duke says:

taig, I thought we like Henry…

  19. David says:

re the Defence we should definately be looking to buy some height in there.

The way Drogba had free headers on goal before he finally scored was more than a bit worrying.

Fair play to Vermalean but he looks more like the DM we need imo.

Id buy 2 nasty tall CB.

  20. Good Post Geoff

great to read another passionate and winning mentality post..

  21. Pete says:

Balotelli is an Italian international and therefore doesn’t play for Ghana

  22. tonyadamsisgod says:

Big Raddy – We have the personnel? Really? We still can’t dominate in the air. To be honest we cant even compete let alone dominate!

Sell Silvestre – he’s not fit for anything.
Sell Senderos – he’s literally just sucking money from us.
Sell Eboue – He aint that good. Bring in some real competition for that RB slot…..Sagna needs a fucking rocket put up his arse!!
Sell Djourou – He’s good for nothing.
Buy a another quality CB. Apart from need ing the cover for Billy G and TV, these guys also need to know they are in a fight for their places. Lets get a gut that can head the ball!!

  23. David says:

    Alright. Off to bed.

    Thank God its Friday.

  24. tonyadamsisgod says:

Duke – You lost me fella??

  25. Geoff says:

Duke no I didn’t, one or two were pointed out to me though!

Raddy we could have had Hangeland or Robin’s slayer Cheillini, or if you read my post on July 31st I said to Arsene, go into the PSG changing room right now and sign Sacko.

I remember that because that was the day of my accident!

You find it in the comments of that post around 4.45pm, so he can’t say I didn’t tell him.

  26. BigRaddy says:

    Geoff.

    Very interesting post today

Where I disagree is with the assumption that our team and management are losers, and not prepared to work to become winners.

  27. Is anyone really thinking wenger is going to buy a striker in Jan…i really doubt.

he would have Bendtner returning,i seriously doubt him buying a striker

i would rather prefer a CB than a striker,as Geoff himself mentioned the goals are coming from so many players…and it is a matter of time till we sort out a solution to rvp absence..

i hope the solution doesnt take long though

i guess if solution to RVP loss is ready,we will see wenger employing against stoke…

  28. Duke says:

taig, I have hope for JD

  29. iceman says:

“…we wouldn’t be in this creek, on a boat with no paddle and the smell of shit in the air.”

    Classic Geoff!
    LOL!!
    You hear that Wenger?
    Now sort it!!
    Well in Jan.

  30. André says:

With all due respect, Balotelli is italian 8)

  31. ikon says:

Dzeko and Chamakh in the same team would be a dream.
I havent seen enough of Balotelli. But he seems to be a big striker.

Dudue and Vela are world class but would require a first striker to play with. Running off the ball etc.

Playing with all 2nd strikers is going to get us no where especially in a league as physical as epl.

I hope Wenger buys at least one of Balotelli/Chamakh/Dzeko, and one central mid and one defender.

And hopefully Senderos will be given more games than Sylvestre. And hopefully Song will go back to where he belongs ie the bench.

Splash 40 million and you have a squad which just scares the shit out of everyone else.

Wenger and the teamhave taken too much pride away from the fans for far far too long. I think his perspective needs to change and his priority should be solely now to restore that pride…. the cost of 40 million should not even feature in his mind.

The fans deserve better, and the club deserves better.

  32. Geoff says:

Pete welcome, you are free to blog, he has the choice of which country to play for apparently.

  33. Geoff says:

Raddy, look no further than Wednesday, he knew we’d lose. End of.

  34. David says:

“Constantly standing by the management doesn’t make you a better Arsenal fan, it makes you a whipping boy, challenging opinion is healthy, if we didn’t do that”

Not sure how anyone can call themselves an AKB and then “agree” with today and yesterday’s post.

    Quality stuff guys thanks.

Im afraid not even blogging is working for the seemingly never ending depression that comes with being a gooner.

Used to be that one could rant/bitch/gripe and get it out of the system.

Its not working. Dear oh dear. Arsene please what are you doing.

  35. tonyadamsisgod says:

Duke – yeah but this constant injury thing is starting to wear a little too thin with too many players!! We could be paying the wages of players who stay fit and actually contribute to the season!!

Its time to get read of these eternal crocks!!

  36. Geoff says:

Duke I would agree, maybe Vermaelen should move into DM and we sign two monsters at the back, Cheillini and Sacko.

    Or that Stoke player.

  37. BigRaddy says:

    Geoff. So who goes?

Isa monster DM enough in what is such an attacking team. Would Chiellini or Sako fit into our team. AW accepted our defensive problems when signing TV: & surely you accept he is a fine player.

My point is not that we don’t need players, more that it is not easy to solve this particular problem.

As you know, from my first days on LG, I have called for 3 major signings. A GK , a CB and a DM.

3 seasons (or is it 4) later, we have signed one of them,

Mario Balotelli is already a great player. He’s the black Zlatan! Great technique and finishing ability.. All he needs to work on, just like the big Swede has only learnt in recent years, is discipline. I would love for Wenger to bring him to Arsenal and I would be the first to get his name on my shirt!

Gignac is more likely than Dzeko

  42. Stevie says:

My Daughters footie team lost to West Ham a couple of weeks ago, their players all seemed to be a foot taller than ours. I said at the time it was like watching Arsenal play Chelsea (Didnt realise how bloody right I would be)

The difference is my daughters team cant attract good players, Arsenal can, and they can afford them. Wenger just chooses not to spend because he has his head up his arse and wants his youth policy to be proved right.

  43. David says:

    Raddy

Not sure where the work is they are putting in to become winners.

Sure we’ve improved from last season in certain areas.

But the truth is not a whole lot.

    Our defending is shambolic.

    Our Set-pieces is still shambolic

Finishing is alot to be desired. And that has always been the case.

  44. Pedro says:

    John A, that was gold.

Raddy, I love TV… but he hasn’t done much to steady the ship!

I’d like to see a GK, a DM and maybe a striker. Actually, scrap the keeper, I think Fab2 could be the answer.

Top post Geoff, all very true points!

  45. Arse&Nose says:

He is Italian, the clue is in the name.
I know the colour of his skin might confuse some people but please check your facts.

  46. charybdis1966 says:

Morning all, I have to say that while pointing out ambition is a good reason for not lowering expectations, for me I feel the duty the players, club and manager owe the fans outweighs that. We all have put a great deal of investment into the club, time-wise, money-wise and emotion-wise (i.e. the number of years we’ve followed a club through the highs and lows).
If the club hierarchy would only realise that it would explain why the last 3 years of not buying proper players and the players we do have underperforming is simply unacceptable.
When I think of the poor goners trawling up to Manchester on a weekday night to see what I view as bordering on child cruelty, how can the players and club not feel ashamed of letting the fans down?
More players should have come out after the Chav defeat to apologise for the shameful effort, as they should have done after the Sunderland game. I guess after making it a hat trick of defeats ther losing mentality is complete and maybe the players and manager think no one cares anymore.
The fans care and the manner of the defeats hurt as well as the clubs/managers indifference to the growing sense of being taken for a ride the fans have.
The club IS the fans – you take us for granted and the club will wither away.

  47. Ademywhore says:

isnt Sahk too young for you Geoff

  48. mikey says:

balotelli plays for italy, chamakh isn’t being sold this window and is also going to the acn and dzeko is cup tied and also isn’t being sold this window.

  49. tonyadamsisgod says:

Big Raddy – Sorry to jump in again but however good TV may have been for us so far you cant hide the fact that the frailties we all saw last season are all still present. We cannot win headers and for a team that wants to win the league its just unacceptable.

We have shipped 18 goals in 13 games. Thats already 5 more than Utd and 10 more than Chelsea who have both played a game more than us. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. The teams that challenge for the title are the teams that have the best defences. A simple glance at the finalised table of last season says it all.

  50. David says:

    BR

Gallas is on his way out.

And after the world cup. I sincerely have doubts about his fitness and form.

    *yawns*

    Ok. Time.

  51. Pedro says:

A&N, I don’t think there are too many black italians without alternative heritage.

‘Balotelli was born Mario Barwuah to Ghanaian immigrants’

He can choose as he hasn’t been capped.

  52. Geoff says:

Arse&Nose, perhaps you should too, maybe the fact he is black is a clue.

  53. Who all sees a CB is Much more needed than Striker???

  54. Ademywhore says:

charybdis1966 “I guess after making it a hat trick of defeats ther losing mentality is complete and maybe the players and manager think no one cares anymore”
    get real!!

  55. Geoff says:

Sackho may be 19 but he is 6’4″ and a beast, I would sooner him than Gallas and I would sooner Vermaelen than Song or Denilson.

  56. tonyadamsisgod says:

Duke – Man that is way too complicated for me this early in the morning! :D

  57. Pedro says:

Do Italy have any black players in their squad?

taig, get that coffee in, you know what today is…can’t have you not understanding the jokes :D

Here is an early morning one, not to much thinking required here:

  68. Pedro says:

  69. jimbo says:

Lads I think we need to calm down a bit and take a step back and look at where we are as a club at the moment. We’re fortunate that despite the move to a new stadium (which usually brings about relegation for most clubs!) we’re still in the CL and still reaching semi finals etc…Now i know we’ve not won anything, and you’re saying we shouldn’t be content with a top 4 finish, and you are right, we all want titles, cups etc… but at least while we’re not challenging we’re not doing what most clubs do in the bad times and slide way down the table. At least this seems like it’s as bad as it gets and to be honest, there are still 89 clubs (chelsea and utd excluded) who’d kill to be in our position.

You mention that you’re a winner and therefore wont accept anything else, but let me ask you if for some reason you’d been bought up a stockport fan, would you not bother turning up as they wont win anything? Course not, you’d still support them and that’s what we should do with arsenal. We don’t need to agree with everything wenger does, or the board do, but we must realise that only two weeks ago we all believed we had a chance at the title. That’s how close we are. I’m not an AKB, far from it as i believe he’s made plenty of errors, but i do beleive he is still the right man for the job and honestly cant think of anyone else who firstly would’ve kept us in this position with the new stadium, and secondly who could do a better job than he is doing now if he was sacked. He goes, then so does cesc and most probably a load of others so let’s stick with it and get our season back on track with 3 points tomorrow.

What I would say is i’d like a change in the backroom staff, rice is a legend but i just think he’s been under wenger so long he has exactly the same ideas as him. we need someone fresh and new, someone who will tell wenger when he fucks up, someone like keown or bergkamp for example…

  73. Arsenal Tom says:

morning all, good stuff again!! slowly starting to ease the pain of the last few weeks!!

to be fair i think all the people linked with chamakh is the only one with half a chance of joining, the rest are too high-profile for us and too expensive!

if we sign just 2 players in jan it’ll be a miracle!!

  74. Geoff says:

That’s only because Federer hasn’t been caught yet!

  75. hurley says:

  78. Arselicked says:

    Thanks Pedro, point taken.

    I thought Barlotelli is Italian.

  79. BigRaddy says:

I hear the argument about the defence. And of course agree.

BUT to me this is a question of tactics not personnel. Individually our back 4 are great, but somehow the sum of the parts doesn’t add up to a strong defence.

That is why I say that the solution isn’t as simple as buying a CB.

We need a roots and branch re-appraisal of our defensive organisation.

I would seriously give George Graham a call and invite him in as Defensive Coórdinator.

    Great idea …… huh?

  80. Pedro says:

    Fuck off TAIG…. it’s all I have!

  81. Pedro says:

    Great idea indeed Raddy.

I think having a dominant keeper would do our team the world of good.

  82. Geoff says:

Jimbo if I were a Stockport fan my expectations wouldn’t be so high as I would only be paying 3 farthings to get in, at Arsenal I pay more than anyone else in world football, so they have my money, but won’t deliver.

  83. ikon says:

Chamakh plays for Morroco I though. AFAIK Morocco havent qualified for ACN.
    or have they?

  84. Haha yeah

we all do mistake though, the legendary sportsmen are more vulnerable to mistake off the field than us normal people

  85. tonyadamsisgod says:

Duke – that similar to one of my all time favourites!!

A sausage and an egg are in frying pan. The sausage says to the egg “wow, its getting hot in here!”

The egg turns around and says “fuck me, a talking sasusage!!”

  86. jimbo says:

Geoff – OK you’ve missed my point. Ignore Stockport and imagine you were a scum fan….

  87. if we win at stoke, hopefully bendtner would be available for liverpool game..

  88. tonyadamsisgod says:

Pedro – I noticed the subtle change too! :D

  89. Arsenal Tom says:

ikon… nah they didnt make it mate

  90. BigRaddy says:

    Night David

  91. Duke says:

    jimbo,

    QTE

We don’t need to agree with everything wenger does, or the board do, but we must realise that only two weeks ago we all believed we had a chance at the title. That’s how close we are.

    UNQTE

I could say, we are out of the title race by December.
    That’s how far we are.

  92. BigRaddy says:

Jimbo. Totally agree and put far more rationally than I could manage.

  93. Duke says:

taig, yes yes a classic :D

  94. Pedro says:

Tiger woods has admitted to cheating.

I’ve got news for you tiger, we already knew that, it was a blatant handball.

  95. Geoff says:

Same deal Jimbo, if Arsenal want us to sign up for the youth policy and see what happens, they should lower the prices, West Ham do and they have no expectations, drawing with us made their season.

Arsenal want their cake and want to eat it.

  96. BigRaddy says:

Thats not true Duke. Or can you see into the future. Two losses for the Chavs and we win our game in hand. Then we are just 2 points behind .

The Chavs could lose at the W/E.

    .

  97. tonyadamsisgod says:

Big Raddy – yes mate, spot on! I think it needs a massive overhaul. 1 or 2 new players added with some new coaching and a different approach to defending in general.

And as Pedro said, bringing in a truly class GK adds so much stability to the entire team. When you know you have a shit keeper behind you its easy to start panicking and trying to make tackles you shouldn’t. You then get stretched, out of position and bam! 0-1!

  98. Duke says:

What did the Jewish paedophile say to the boy in his car?

Go easy on the sweets kid.

  99. tonyadamsisgod says:

Pedro – I’m amazed you haven’t posted this one:

How embarrassing for Barrack Obama to crash into a fire hydrant … after all he is a former F1 world champion!!

  100. jimbo says:

Geoff – the youht policy? It’s still bringing CL football to us and bringing much more to us than spurs are gettign at the moment, or indeed the majority of other clubs. Sadly it’s got to the stage in football where it’s all about the top 4 as opposed to the CC. For example if someone offered you the CC this year and 5th place, would you take it ahead of 3rd place and no CC? course not, as the CL is where we HAVE to be in order to compete in the future

  101. Arsenal Tom says:

pone good thing from wednesday could be that the manc chavs are confident enough to beat the real chavs.

that’d make it a lot lot nicer weekend

  102. Duke says:

BR, I know it’s possible, but do you actually believe that?

  103. jimbo says:

Duke – easy on the jewish jokes please. I’m jewish and that’s quite offensive

  104. Duke says:

My Chinese girlfriend dumped me because I was cheating on her.

    I didn’t even realise.

  105. tonyadamsisgod says:

    Duke – :D

A strange man leads a young girl into the deep of a deserted woods. As it begins to get dark the girl tugs at his sleeve and says “Mr, I’m scared”.

The man turns to the girl and says “You’re scared? I’ve gotta walk out of here on my own!!”

    Yellow?

  106. Goonerzak says:

Disagree we have the right players. we need partnerships Vela, Walcott, AA, Edu and in my opinion VP as well are all second strikers. Benby is our only true target man and wenger plays him out right !! Dzeko please. Same problem with centre backs, we need two large fuck off CBs (vermy) with two slightly smaller quicker ones mopping up behind them (gallas) Thats why Toure and Gallas did’nt work.we also need an authorative keeper that commands his area and communicates well with his defence. Hugo Lloris anyone ??

  107. Oskar says:

I watched Balotelli playing for Italy’s U21 in the Euros in Sweden this summer so he has been capped definately. He also scored a nice goal against my Sweden http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SvwWrth9Zsg

  108. Pedro says:

Jimbo… why is it a toss up?

Why not the carling cup and 2nd in the league?

People keep saying that… like the extra three games would derail any hopes of doing anything else.

  109. Duke says:

jimbo, no disrespect meant what so ever, a joke is a joke mate, I am not racist, but if a joke is a funny stereotype, I could have a laugh.
I could point out to Pedro and taig, that them making the Tiger jokes means that they are implying that all black people look the same and that is offensive.

Sorry to have upset you though.

  110. Duke says:

Ah shit, dropped the R bomb there again, Peds, could you be a darling and get my post out of moderation please.

  111. jimbo says:

Pedro – this is true I know. I was just pointing out that Spuirs have won a trophy in recent years, yet they’d still rather be in our position. In all honesty thoguh, who’s to say the 1st team would’ve won up there? they didn’t do too well in the league. WE could quite easily have picked up 3 injuries and still lost, all for a cup that if we were to win let’s be honest we wouldn’t be THAT ecstatic about

  112. Pedro says:

Jimbo, I don’t think anyone escapes joke Friday… it’s not personal.

Anyone tells a blonde joke, they can red card themselves, ok?

  113. Duke says:

taig, ah going into the classics, heavy artillery :D

  114. Pedro says:

Jimbo… you can make a whole plethora of excuses as to why we shouldn’t compete.

The facts are, we’re a football club, we’re supposed to compete and we haven’t won anything for years.

Winning a Carling Cup kick started things for Mourinho, why not this 3rd generation of kids?

  115. Duke says:

I just bought a Liverpool FC advent calendar. Typical, all the windows are boarded up, some chav has nicked all the chocolate, and number 22 is being used as a crack den.

  116. jimbo says:

Pedro – don’t come here often so didn’t know there was a Joke friday in place!

Duke – don’t worry about it, i was just giving a heads up that i’m jewish in case they got a bit more extreme!

  117. BigRaddy says:

Pedro. That is semantics. You can see Jimbo’s point & I agree with him.

Of course 2nd & the CC is better. But clearly AW sees the CC as a way of keeping his kids happy and prepared to wait for first team action.

  118. jimbo says:

Pedro – i dont agree with the CC kickstarting chelsea argument. 300 million pounds kickstarted chelsea, not the CC!

  119. tonyadamsisgod says:

    Duke – Like this one:

A stranger pulls up to the curb in his car and says to a little boy “Hey kid, if I give you a sweet will you come in my car?” to which the boy replies “gimme the whole bag and I’ll come in your mouth!”

    Red??

  120. Duke says:

haha jimbo, it was just random…I don’t have just a collection of Jewish jokes. Point taken though.

I got pulled over by the police the other day, they accused me of jumping the traffic lights.

I laughed at him and explained; ‘cars can’t jump’.

  121. tonyadamsisgod says:

    Duke – Nice!

  122. BigRaddy says:

    Love that egg/sausage joke

  123. Duke says:

    taig, I love that one.

  124. tonyadamsisgod says:

Bir Raddy – That egg/sausage one is a timeless masterpiece!! :D

  125. charybdis1966 says:

Ademywhore – what I’m getting at is that the players are cosseted to such an extent by the manager that sub-standard performances are not seen as a problem. The players are insulated from how bad the 3 defeats has hurt the clubs supporters. The players don’t have to go and face legions of chav/manc/spuds each day and get this slide in our form rubbed in their faces.

  126. charybdis1966 says:

If we’re talking crummy jokes….2 Muffins in an oven, one says “It’s hot in here”, the other syas “Well what do you know, a talking muffin”.

  127. tonyadamsisgod says:

A man is walking along a cliff top and comes across a young boy huddled on the floor, crying his eyes out.

“what’s the matter?” says the man.

“Its my parents!” replies the boy, “they’ve just falling off the edge of the cliff and onto the rocks below”.

The man looks at the boy, unzips his trousers and says “today’s just not your day is it!”

  128. Ademywhore says:

Half of these are making out like we are mid-table
get a grip its december, the prems decided around easter

  129. Duke says:

I got woken up this morning by a couple of Jehovah’s Witnesses banging against my front door.

I didn’t even think they were allowed to have sex.

  130. tonyadamsisgod says:

Chary – Surely you just made that up after reading my one! :D And was it an intentional pun to use the word ‘crummy’? :D

  131. jimbo says:

never befriend a dwarf with learning difficulties – It’s not big and it’s not clever

  132. Pedro says:

Ade, it’s true, the Prem isn’t decided in Novemeber… but you being 11 points clear without your main striker and a fragile squad puts a dampener on it.

Factor in that we’ve haven’t gone past Feb in contention for over 5 years… you can see where people are coming from.

  133. tonyadamsisgod says:

    “I think I’ve got CDO.”

    “Don’t you mean OCD?”

“No, I’ve put the letters in alphabetical order, just like they’re meant to be!!”

  134. Duke says:

taig, for your egg, and sausage joke.

Omelette you finish, but this is the best egg joke of all time. OF ALL TIME.

  135. charybdis1966 says:

Honest TAiG – no I didn’t see that, I bindipped it from a “Two and a half men” re run that was on last night. I do skim read stuff a lot of the time

  136. Brendan C says:

Now we have the chance to make transfers i suggest wenger moves swiftly. i think we should go for Mohammed Sakho as a CB back up for gallas and slowly build him into the first team, Lee catermole to pair up with alex song being the being the midfield inforcers or keep diaby there and improve him. Also I think arsene should go all out to sign up Edin Dzeko. 6ft 5″ and only 23. Consistently good performances and bagged himself 31 goals in the bundesliga last season.

Listen no one will give a shit about this post but given that I spent a while thinking about it last night I am going to post my line up for Olympiakos.

    Fabianksi
    Eboue Bartley Silvestre Traore
    Frimpong Ramsey Coquelin
    JET Vela Wilshere

  138. Ademywhore says:

charybdis1966 no players do except International team mates(only banter) the players show they care by their performances in training which gets them selected

  139. tonyadamsisgod says:

Chary – ha ha, fair play! Only messing! :D

    Duke – mate!

  140. Gunner win 1 says:

The value of a N02 pencil

The value of a Catholic education and a No2 pencil.

Little Susie was not the best student in Catholic School. Usually she slept through the class.

One day her teacher, a Nun, called on her while she was sleeping.

‘Tell me Susie, who created the universe?’

When Susie didn’t stir, little Johnny who was her friend sitting behind her, took his pencil and jabbed her in the rear.

    ‘God Almighty!’ shouted Susie.

The Nun said, ‘Very good’ and continued teaching her class..

A little later the Nun asked Susie, ‘Who is our Lord and Saviour?’

But Susie didn’t stir from her slumber. Once again, Johnny came to her rescue and stuck her in the butt.

    ‘Jesus Christ!!!’ shouted Susie.

And the Nun once again said, ‘Very good,’ and Susie fell back asleep.

The Nun asked her a third question…’What did Eve say to Adam after she had her twenty-third child?’

Again, Johnny came to the rescue. This time Susie jumped up and shouted, ‘If you stick that damn thing in me one more time, I’ll break it in half!’

    The nun fainted.

  141. Ademywhore says:

Sahko is/was captain he’s going to want first team straight away

  142. Pedro says:

    Arshavin:

“The fact that we have lost against out direct rivals this season signifies that we are not very good,” he said.

“We are not good on set-pieces because we don’t have many tall players – every other team has an advantage over us in this area.

“They were much stronger than us when it came to physical power. Had we possessed a tall player then things would have been better for us.

“We had nobody capable of holding on to the ball. We played good football against all these top teams but that is not enough.

“What we can change, only Arsene Wenger knows. He has been at the club for 13 years and knows the problems better than anyone.”

“All the Arsenal players believe in him – and if he leaves they will all leave,” he added. “It would be good if the club could sign some great players.

“It is up to the manager to decide whether he will sign a new striker in January. I have my own ideas but I won’t say what they are.

“Since Robin got injured we have scored just two goals – it is a big problem.”

  143. gazzap says:

Those comments from Arshavin about if wenger leaves, all the players will leave is bullshit. What a knob. I hate it when people say that.
Any player that leaves just because someone else leaves can seriously just fuck off. Its not some sort of toddler group you can just drop in and out of on a whim. Arsenal are one of the biggest club sides in Europe. You should feel privileged to play for the Arsenal.
Do they not realise they are under contract and Arsenal can decide to sell any players they choose? Arshavin should keep his mouth shut if he cant say anything constructive.

  144. Duke says:

Pedro, I love Arshavin, he is the only one who has the balls to say exactly how it is. Have to love the Russian mentality.
He is saying what we are all thinking, and if anyone says he should shut up, well then you yourself should shut up…

  145. Pedro says:

Gazzap… 75% of them wont get better contracts elsewhere!

  146. bnsb says:

    Pedro,

    How many would get similar?

  147. Arsenal Tom says:

“we are not very good” crack up!!

  148. jimbo says:

Arshavin should listen to himself and start performing like we know he can. He’s been awful this season and it’s pissing me off he’s the one who keeps coming out and saying we’re shit. Do something about it then seeing as you’re our record signing!

  149. Pedro says:

Depends with who doesn’t it BNSB.

Would they get a better club?

Do any of the top clubs in Europe have a requirement for players like Denilson, Song and Diaby?

Senderos can’t even get a club… look at the experience he has.

  150. Duke says:

gazzap, it’s fucked up, but you know it’s true, they don’t play for Arsenal, they play for Wenger. That is one of our biggest problems as a club. He has God like status.

  151. ethangunner says:

    chary , taig …

    fellas …

so what you think of 3 losses on the trot ?

  152. gazzap says:

Duke, but its not how it is. if arsene leaves all the players wont leave.
Cesc could leave anyway, regardless of what wenger does. But as Pedro says, the players are on very good contracts.
And if lets say Hiddink comes in, you will get all the players swearing their undying love for the manager within 3 weeks. Guaranteed.

  153. tonyadamsisgod says:

I bet a lot of the players would want to leave but the fact remains that the club wouldn’t and couldn’t let them all leave! Letting more than 2 or 3 of our star players go would be the end of our club. The board and any new manager knows this and would just refuse the transfers.

  154. Duke says:

Does anyone else want to see FIFA choose Thierry Henry to handle the balls in the draw for the World Cup today?

  155. tonyadamsisgod says:

ethan – I know what you think and I’m not that far away!

  156. bnsb says:

    Pedro, Exactly, sigh!

Gazzap, they would even if it is Phil Brown :)

  157. Pedro says:

    Duke… that’s so not true.

I remember when Chelsea sacked Ranieri, all the players said they’d leave… then Mourinho stepped in.

Players are loyal to their paymasters.

It’s not like Arsenal would lose Wenger and replace him with Sam Allardyce, is it?

  158. tonyadamsisgod says:

Duke – You’re better than that mate! Dont let yourself get dragged down to the world of easy jokes! :D

  159. choy says:

    Morning all..

lol… duke.. they are talking about him being banned from the WC itself!

  160. Duke says:

gazzap, but most of those kids always say, I signed because or Wenger, he is my dad, and this and that. But you are probably right, most of them just talk shit. But Pedro has a great point and I 100% agree, they would never get better contracts anywhere else.

  161. charybdis1966 says:

Ethan, 3 domestic losses on the trot sucks big time. It’s so bad, it sucks AND blows.
The fact Wenger doesn’t realise the players are not playing to their potential is worrying also.

  162. Arsenal Tom says:

its not like when wenger goes we’re hire gary megson, ill expect a top quality manager who’ll get their respect like a pep, or hiddink.

  163. choy says:

And stoke is not going to be a breeze, I think they’re even more physical than chelsea and rory delap !!

    Oh lord!

  164. Duke says:

Pedro, yes, see my above post, you have convinced me.

  165. Duke says:

    taig, I don’t know, I liked it, and I am ashamed :(
choy, yeah I heard, knobheads, don’t want video technology, but use it all the time anyway. What happened with Ref’s word is final?

  166. Arsenal Tom says:

shawcross is out though i think? he’s their best player by a country mile

  167. Gunner win 1 says:

Judge: Why do you want to leave your parents…?
Kid :They always beat me sir…

Judge: Do you want to live with your grandparents…?
Kid : No, they beat me too…

Judge: Then who do you want to live with…?
Kid : With Arsenal football club…!!!

    Judge: Why Arsenal…?
Kid : They do not beat anyone….

Sorry, guys could not esist it.

  168. choy says:

They still have huge strong players all over the players AT!

Fuller will easily take out Gallas and Verm alone!

  169. bnsb says:

    gw1

Did your Spud friend tease you?

  170. Duke says:

Gunner win 1, poor from you to replace the team in the joke with Arsenal, poor.

1985 – A time when a crazy old man could befriend a school kid and go on exciting adventures, without raising suspicion.

  171. choy says:

    *park

  172. Ademywhore says:

    Faye is stokes best player

  173. wardo says:

well done Jimbo – well put.

Geoff, scum or hammers are not in the ECL. If they were they would not get to the quarters or semi’s for about ten years which would require team buiilding and good management. I hated Wednesday. I hated Sunday and had spent money i did not have and was very anoyed. I do agree with you to some extent that we are not good enough but then, we are not as bad as people make out. We need signings and I am growing frustrated that we dont. I could not give a fuck is it stumps a players growth. Its my club and I want to see top class players. As wenger said, we can not rely on being labelled a young team any more. So, when we lose to chavs its not bout age but about 1 or 2 players not playing at the height needed to win……..so he must buy.

But, in short, we’re not in as bad a state as people make out. AW is a good manager. No fool and will sign someone in January that will turn things around for us. With the chavs losing 4 players to ACN then we may be able to make a move on the EPL…….

  174. Ademywhore says:

    Gignac

  175. Duke says:

wardo, so you liked Sheffield United more?

  176. Arsenal Tom says:

choy, yeah but i need something to cling on to mate!!!

to be fair its stoke at home… it should just be a formality… don’t loose the ball in stupid places and it should be bread and butter for them.

  177. Ademywhore says:

    Wardo well put

  178. Gunner win 1 says:

bnsb – I have been getting these all fucking week…!!!

  179. wardo says:

    Duke ?????

    do you mean Sunderland ??

That fcuked my saturday evening up……..and caused a row !

  180. Duke says:

While on facebook I just realised that when you’re bored and going through people’s profiles and you stop at a chick’s profile because of her profile picture, if her profile picture contains two or more women… the profile owner is generally the uglier/ugliest one!!!

  181. choy says:

Wardo have you seen who the chavs play in Jan?

  182. wardo says:

    Duke……tosser !!!

    you got me

  183. bnsb says:

Our EPL Matches till Dec 31:

    Stoke H
    Pool A
    Burnley A
    Hull H
    Villa H
    Portsmouth A

We bag all 18 points we can say that we’re not in as bad a state as people make out. Anything less will be catas Trophy :)

  184. Duke says:

wardo, people are not getting my jokes today :(

    QTE

Geoff, scum or hammers are not in the ECL. If they were they would not get to the quarters or semi’s for about ten years which would require team buiilding and good management. I hated Wednesday.

    UNQTE

That’s yours. The last sentence is “I hated Wednesday”. So I said so you are a Sheffield United fan then…you get it? Oh I should just give up…

  185. Duke says:

Ah wardo, there you go…you got it, ignore my post, I will not give up :D

  186. CESCS_MyBoy says:

    wardo

Chelsea’s fixtures during ACON is pretty bland – home ties against Birmingham and Sunderland (I think) and away games at Wolves and Bolton – May have the order mixed up, but thats the genre of fixture they have.

A huge game is when we go there on 2 Feb – there is no way Drogba and Essien would be fit enough to play in that – if, Ghana and Ivory Coast reach the latter stages as they should.

End of Jan and Feb will make / break our season.

  187. Duke says:

bnsb, 18 points would do nicely…

  188. Gunner win 1 says:

What is it with Walcott, pay me 60k a week and I will play with a pair of crutches!!!

  189. BigRaddy says:

I will be surprised if we find a player in JAn.

Not because they are not available but because of price. AW will not be head to ransom and will walk away from any deal that is over-ínflated.

Selling clubs know they are in strong positions and price accordingly. Unless AW has already set the purchase up, which would be the best course of action.

  190. wardo says:

Duke – you are bang on with the facebook.

My ex bird’s sister is on facebook. She use to be so fit when we were at school but is now a fat mouse ! and a slapper !!

Her facebook picture is her standing behind my ex who is fairly good looking……..

  191. Jaguar says:

AKBs existed before it was proven that the earth is round.stupid sods.

  192. BigRaddy says:

Pay me 40k and I won’t play either.

It is a win win situation

  193. wardo says:

choy / cesc……did not know the chavs line up.

hopefully we’ll beat them 2nd Feb then…….Lpool sometimes get em as well so, they may lose a few more points than expected !

  194. bnsb says:

    Bigraddy,

Depends on players burning desire to join us at any cost too – a la Arshavin

How many world class players will now want to join us.

    Worrying.

  195. Arsenal Tom says:

    bnsb….. i reckon we’ll be lucky to get 16

we’ll never beat pool away and villa at home will be very hard! they destroyed us last year

  196. BigRaddy says:

    Hi Choy. Warm over there?

  197. Ademywhore says:

    Gignac’s joining in Jan

  198. Gunner win 1 says:

BigRaddy – It’s an unbelievable sitiuation.

  199. BigRaddy says:

    bnsb. Torres joined the Dippers

    And what about Robinho?

From AA’s comments it doesn’t appear that he had a “burning desire” does it? He knew the squad when he signed, and we have added TV since.

  200. bnsb says:

How many of you are ABSOLUTELY sure we will beat Stoke, Burnley, Hull and Portsmouth

  201. choy says:

Afternoon BR.. in the day time, but its getting colder!

Has the snow already covered you up?

  202. Duke says:

atom, that’s why we don’t win the League :(

  203. BigRaddy says:

    LOL GW1

  204. Duke says:

wardo, I hate Facebook mate, if I wanted people to know what I do, I would be out with those people…

  205. bnsb says:

    BR,

Robinho saw only the color of money

  206. bnsb says:

Oh! BTW we definitely dont want his type here

  207. CESCS_MyBoy says:

    bnsb

Problem with Pool away is that its a Sunday afternoon game, then Burnley away is on the wednesday.

    Not ideal.

In all honesty, I would rather play at the Camp Nou than Turfmoor.

Away at Burnley in mid December is quintessentially our achilles heel, and then some. Saying that, back to back victories in those two games would be huge marker laid down.

  208. leon says:

the fact is these young players have to be tested sometime so it should mix of youth and experienced players the trouble is at moment all of most expeienced players are not realy match,i feel just playing home games for players like merida, winshire ramsey couquin etc but peole can come up with better way to test young players, i did not have have problem with wenger playing some of younger players in carling cup but he could have done with playing some players like bretna and because edwardo, aa thoe and nasri are clearly to match fit it would have been huge mistake to risk them. this team realy does not have to many injuries 2 left backs down,2 strikers 1 defender, the fact is if this team had 3 top class strikers and and 2-3 more top class midfielders this would not be problem.i feel players like risicky nasri, edwardo aa are going need time they are match fit, added to the fact edwardo and risicky have out for solong will need alot time get back there best

  209. BigRaddy says:

Choy. No. We don’t get too much snow. Just grey skies and lots of rain. Must be Global Warming.

Thinking of which, this town has gone Climate Conference mad. Can’t get away from the stuff. & dull as ditchwater.

Do you realise we have been talking to each other for over 2 years now?

  210. bnsb

for ur info, no live broadcast stoke game on espnstar, but a repeat immediately after the game..

worldcup draw on espn too today though

  211. Gunner win 1 says:

Arsenal are like a Chinese sweatshop…only difference, is that these kids get paid a bucket load for an inferior product.

  212. jimbo says:

cesc’s my boy – they may appear easy fixtures, but chelsea have beaten us, liverpool and utd this year, while losing to wigan and blackburn, so perhaps these games are where the chavs struggle

  213. choy says:

Wow.. thats a long time :)

    Haha

  214. bnsb says:

    Sabeel

    thanks.

Sad indeed, what time is the WC draw?

  215. BigRaddy says:

Leon. Good point about time , sadly such is the pressure of the Top 4 we don’t have that luxury

  216. wardo says:

duke……you are so like me then.

the only friend requests were from ex girlfriends. Stalkers !!

seriously, the ex i used as the example of her siter using her pic sent me a friend request (no message) had a little look around then deleted me from her friend list !! fcuking cheek of it !!

I have 1 or 2 mates from schoool but, the rest I dont want anything to do with…..not fallen out with em but, i work in the city and they still live at home or signing on……they never have money to do anything anyways…….left school 14 yrs ago and haven’t seen them since then

  217. choy says:

Seriously these guys get paid a lot don’t they!

Even Arsene takes home a lot, is he one of the best paid managers in the league?

  218. bnsb says:

    choy, are you in India?

  219. Duke says:

What do you call a ginger movie star?

Hot Teen redhead getting fucked by big black dick

  220. BigRaddy says:

Too many on here without Avatars

    Sort it out !!

  221. choy says:

    bnsb .. bangalore!

  222. bnsb says:

    Arsene Wenger Arsenal £4.5 million
    Sam Allardyce Blackburn £2 million
    Gary Megson Bolton £700,000
    Guus Hiddink Chelsea £6.14 million
    David Moyes Everton £3 million

  223. ethangunner says:

    chary

The fact Wenger doesn’t realise the players are not playing to their potential is worrying also.
    ——————————
that’s my biggest concern (with wenger)
    is he losin it ????

  224. bnsb says:

Then your name should be choy choy :)

  225. tonyadamsisgod says:

BR – Can you make out what mine is?

  226. choy says:

lol.. yeah i get that a lot :)

  227. choy says:

    TAIG… Arsene at OT?

  228. Duke says:

wardo, same here, went on for about a month, had some shocking stuff, found some old mates, exchanged emails and deleted.

Great story about the ex. My misses ex kept trying to add me as a friend to see what we are up to…fucking internet stalkers.

  229. wardo says:

    TAIG…..TONY A 1998

  230. Duke says:

I was at a party and I just happened to tell a rather sexist joke to a woman who it turns out is a feminist. “That joke was verging on the offensive!” She snapped.
“Look, there’s only one virgin on the offensive in this room, love!” I replied.

  231. Arsenal Tom says:

bnsb… burnley hull and portsmouth we’ll beat…. burnley play football so we’ll murder them.

hull are shit and our players hate them so we’ll do them and portsmouth are absolute toilet.

ill let you know about stoke on monday

  232. BigRaddy says:

    Good call Choy

  233. choy says:

    She loves you Duke….

  234. bnsb says:

    eg,

You cannot deny that Wenger puts his heart and soul into players. It is sad indeed when they let him and us down. Wenger takes all the blame, they take home fat pay packets and buy Ferrari for girl friends. As the Cadbury ad says – have they ever crossed their heart and asked the question – Have I earned it?

  235. rayman says:

I honestly don’t think we can beat stoke, even at the emirates. No Song, so less ability to defend set plays, no goals to outscore them, and we all know we won’t keep clean sheet. Eduardo, Arhsavin, Vela would have to do some sort of billys boots style uturn of form for us to get anything out this game.

To stand any chance I think we should go back to 442 with this team…
    alminua
    sagna gallas tv silvestre
    nasri cesc denilson tom
    eduardo arshavin

But nasri and tom seriously need to track back and cover if we are to stand a chance. This is a huge game and we need big performances, more likely to get them from experienced pros so leave ramsey and vela on the bench. Unless AW has lost all faith in Eduardo after chelsea and he starts vela, that really would be a fucking grenade into the middle of Eddy’s season though.

  236. Duke says:

    choy, who does?

I’m terribly sad, my dog got put down.

Not going to take him to a Jimmy Carr concert ever again.

  237. ethangunner says:

not sure how fans can see the obvious flaws ,
yet management are oblivious to it …

yet they continue to want top dollar for entertaining you . we cant keep living this dream that we are footballs elite !

cause we cant even muster enough spirit to give man shitty a run ! the same club we all said pre season who wont ever be as good as us !

well its 2 – 0 now in there favor since there latest spend up …

tells ya something dont it ?

    SPEND!

  238. BigRaddy says:

    Ray.

I would take Rosicky out of your team and replace him with Vela.

    Otherwise agree.

Stoke will play on the counter and there is no need for an over defensive MF. PLus Silvestre is better in the air than Traore, and this is where we will struggle with Stoke

  239. Duke says:

ethan, great comment mate. Agree with everything you just said.

  240. Duke says:

    Meeting time, catch you later…

  241. bnsb says:

    AT

ill let you know about stoke on monday

    predilection?

  242. Arsenal Tom says:

i bet we get shitty again in the FA cup either next round or the one after

  243. tonyadamsisgod says:

    Yep – Choy wins!!

  244. rayman says:

BR, I kind of feel that vela might just click and start doing something, he seems a touch away from things happening for him, so maybe it would be good to have him in the team.

Yes, silvestre in there to help out the defence especially in the air, oh and because traore looks completely incapable of understanding how to play LB. I would send him back to the reserves until he shows he knows how to play there, for me Silvestre would get the LB place every time if gael and gibbs are out. Its the best of a very, very, very bad lot for LB until gael is back.

  245. Paulinho says:

Denilson, Diaby, Walcott, etc, throw them all overboard. Let Kurt Russell take care of them.

  246. choy says:

Traore is more of a wide player in a 442.. he’s got excellent crosses… he’s not a LB.

  247. neville thompson says:

Balotelli just what we need another young lightweight forward – we needed a big dominat CB at the start of the sseason – Arsene gotta realise size matters

  248. CESCS_MyBoy says:

jimbo fair point re: chelsea games.

its fair to assume they would get maximum points – but hopefully a few slip ups are in order…

    all is not lost lads!

marc overmars, old trafford, greatest points chase in premiership history!!

  249. dennisdamenace says:

When do you know if your girlfriend is too young for you?………when you have to make the sound of an aeroplane before you put your cock in her mouth!!

  250. dennisdamenace says:

    Morning ;)

  251. Arsenal Tom says:

bnsb… basically i havent got a clue mate! but if we cant beat them then we may as well knock it on the head!

  252. leon says:

sorry i dont think the players have let wenger down at all when cesc first came he was sitting on bench watching and learning from top world class midfielders when petit viera were playing together it did not make difference who was playing dm playing, please tell me who have song delinson daiby ramsey got to learn from that is real problem i dont blame these players at all these young players doing best and that age 21-23 you are going make mistakes.but this is nothing new this has been situation for 3-4 years now,i reserve judgement until january market but in my opinion if he fails buy some top class players into this taem then he got to go

  253. bnsb says:

    AT,

Stop worrying publicly. It is contagious :)

  254. Mark C says:

Wenger wont speak badly of his players.

he has never done it, so he wont start after 13 years.

With no Song for Stoke, I would not be surprised, if Wenger lines up his squad who are fit to play against Stoke by height, and chooses the tallest 11.

  255. Arsenal Tom says:

choy… nah he’s said he wants to be a LB who can play LM if he has to… not a midfielder

  256. Arsenal Tom says:

bnsb… i hear theres another swine flu outbreak on its way ;)

  257. Geoff says:

Why would we be held to ransom anymore in January than July? What nonsense.
We missed out on at least 2 players because we don’t pay what they want anyway.

Fuck me we sign Ade, Theo and Diaby in January a few years back.

As far as players leaving are concerned, they can’t as Gazzap says, they are contracted, the other thing is if they are more concerned about Wenger than Arsenal and the fans, they can all fuck off as far as I’m concerned the disloyal cunts.

Just like the AKB’s they care more about the manager than the club.

Fuck every one of them, I’m an Arsenal fan.

  258. CESCS_MyBoy says:

    Mark C

With Song not fit – I imagine Wenger will play a front 6 of:

    Ramsey
    Fabregas
    Nasri

    Rosicky
    Vela
    Arshavin

Should probably expect the familar cat and mouse…

  259. Arsenal Tom says:

i wouldnt get our hopes up for too many signings wenger said recently that signing more than 3 players can disrupt the teams style or something… basically more bullshit as to why we dont/wont sign many players

  260. Arsenal Tom says:

    cescs… denilson will play 100%

  261. RockyPires says:

Cesc I would say Denilson wil start centrally and Rosicky dropped with Nasri up top.

  262. CESCS_MyBoy says:

    My bad! Sorry lads..

    Forgot about the little Brazilian!

  263. one brin talbot says:

hey, dont knock cortinas, i learned to drive in one, an estate in fact, was superb, back seat dropped to reveal enough space for nefarious horizontal activities, if the occasion required.
    but enough of that.
if our probelms weren’t oh so familiar i wouldn’t be so depressed. But they are, and I am.
This is a big January for us. Change the habits of the last few years and we’ll be fine, don’t and just wait for the crowd to turn on team and manager at first hint of another poor run.

In fact, if we don’t beat stoke it could happen then.

  264. RockyPires says:

I think Matuidi is a certain signing with maybe Remy and a loan of Henry/Vieira.

I think our real problems will be in the summer though as I cant see Gallas signing a new contract and Senderos will be off also, Silvestre s contract is also up. Whilst their not the greatest defenders in the world they are currently all we have so AW will have to really splash the cash in the summer in defence.

  265. CESCS_MyBoy says:

Which is strange because little brazilians are generally at the fore front of my mind.

hmmmmm. that could be harshly misinterpreted!

  266. rayman says:

Cesc, Tom – no eduardo is he injured or do you think he will be dropped for vela?

  267. gooner-pak says:

I was at my bank today; there was a short line.

Just one lady in front of me, an Asian lady who was trying to exchange yen for dollars.

It was obvious She was a little irritated.

She asked the teller, ‘Why it change? Yesterday, I get two hunat dolla fo yen.

Today I only get hunat eighty?

    Why it change?’

The teller shrugged his shoulders and said, ‘Fluctuations.’

The Asian lady says, ‘Fluc you white people too!”

  268. Geoff says:

One brin talbot, I remember you from before, I welcome you back, I hope you’ll be okay this time. You are free to blog.

  269. Geoff says:

Rocky I can’t see Wenger bringing in any one when he just gave Song a 6 year contract and he has Denilson in reserve, I wish he would because I don’t rate them, but I just can’t see it.

He would be admitting he was wrong.

  270. Geoff says:

    Gooner-Pak, I love it!

  271. CESCS_MyBoy says:

rayman – think dudu should be dropped, like has been mentioned, he cant lead a line. especially not against shawcross / faye

one brin talbot – im happy for you and your faciliaties for extra curricular activities.

i had the pleasure of beasting around in my 106. wasnt so spacious.

unless i was frequenting a midget. which only happened the one time…..

  272. Arsenal Tom says:

    rayman

eddie will play, otherwsie he’d have played on weds i think.

vela off the bench for me…

    fab2
    sag, gallas, verm, traore
    denilson, cesc, nasri
    rosicky, eddie, arsh

wouldnt be bad if silvestre played for traore though to add a bit more height

  273. one brian talbot says:

cescs_MyBoy, i think i speak for everybody here when i say, thats a story that needs sharing…..

  274. Arsenal Tom says:

    fluctuations… top stuff

  275. Geoff says:

So is it Brian or Brin, if you keep changing you keep going into moderation.

  276. BigRaddy says:

    Geoff.

Because lots of clubs who haven’t started the season as well as expected are looking for trophy signings to appease their fans & there is less time for a signing. Demand & Supply.

    Loyalty?

If I worked for a company and got 30k a week, and had the possibility of going to a rival at 60k a week. I would go. Just like Flamini.

Our players aren’t Arsenal fans. Prior to coming to the club, how many had been to THOF. None…. that’s how many. They are mercenaries, nothing more. The badge kissing is just showboating.
Sure they are committed to the cause, but that cause changes when they move clubs.

  277. Mark C says:

    you are joking

5 of that lot are under 5 foot 10.

The averag height of Stoke players is over 6 foot.

  278. dennisdamenace says:

I don’t think Wenger will be buying a monster CB or a CB replacement for Gallas because he views Song’s long term future as a CB. Which conveniently leaves a vacancy in central midfield for Denilson….. Can you believe that is what Wenger has in mind for the spine of the team Almunia, Song and fucking Denilson!

He should issue all of them with big red clown shoes, buy a tent, tour the country and be done with it….

  279. bnsb says:

    AT

Amazing! Fishface has suddenly become Mr. Silvestre and people are begging he be played :)

  280. Geoff says:

Bad example I know but Bergkamp, Wright, Keown, Winterburn, Dixon, Henry and Vieira all talk in we’s and are all fans.

    We’ve been here before Raddy.

  281. BigRaddy says:

    I know Geoff ;-)

  282. BigRaddy says:

    LOL DDM

  283. bnsb says:

That Bergkamp goal in the testimonial match is still fresh in my mind. Great gentleman though he wont fly.

  284. Maciek says:

BNSB- It would have beeen great to pick up 18 points from our next 6 games, but it seems unlikely. We play at Anfield and against Burnlay away. Stoke will be diffcult as well since under Wenger we can’t recover fast when we lose.

I have heard Drogba once said about Cetin from Galatasaray, that he is a monster. We should sign him. Big, strong, tall. Just what the doctor ordered.
Sissoko from Touluse and Adler, Lloris, or Akinfeev, plus Dzeko and we are sorted.Yes they will cost about 70-80 milion pounds but if we sell our deadwood and add 40 m from Kolo and Ade sales, we should get them.

Have a grat weekend. Mine is awful since I have a flu. Oh well…

  285. Arse&Nose says:

The much maligned Eboue has the balls to say sorry to the fans, well done!

“Personally I just want to say sorry to the fans for both games. It wasn’t easy for us but I promise we will give our best and show on Saturday that we can win because we know it will be good for the fans.

“They buy tickets to support us and then we don’t win the games. We are sorry and we will try our best on Saturday.”

  286. CESCS_MyBoy says:

    one brian talbot

I’m terribly sorry it was a comment to heighten the comedy.

    I feel ashamed.

I now know what needs to be done.

I’m off to the circus this weekend.

  287. bnsb says:

maciek, thanks but no live telecast of the match i have been told. I wonder if Flu would have been better.

  288. dennisdamenace says:

    Hey Raddy how you doing?

  289. ikon says:

Frankly I like Eboue more than anyone else except Cesc maybe.
He has got better skills than most of the other players, but sadly lacks a wee bit of application on field.

He has a great attitude, and I just hope he applies himself a little bit more, I am sure we will see a much different Eboue.

  290. BigRaddy says:

    Good DDM. & You ?

  291. bnsb says:

    ikon

A different Eboue? Still raking my brain…

  292. Arse&Nose says:

ikon, I like Eboue for his attitude.

He always makes a point to come to the fans and clap for our support, this is why the away fans love him. He is also one to stay out for an 1-2 hours signing autographs for kids.

These are simple things, but a lot of players including our club captain could learn a thing or two from Eboue when it comes to respecting the fans.

  293. dennisdamenace says:

Average Icelandic cock size is 11 inches, average Italian cock size 9 inches, average American cock size, 7 inches and average British cock size is 5 inches. THAT’S why mum’s go to Iceland!!

  294. dennisdamenace says:

Good, so long as I don’t think for too long about our club….

  295. Arsenal Tom says:

bnsb… it wouldnt hurt for a game like this, especially seeing as we’re missing diaby, bendter & RVP… 3 6 fters!

dont get me wrong he’s still shit but not bad enough that he wouldnt be able to deal with stoke

  296. RockyPires says:

I know Geoff but we can live in hope for yet another painful transfer window.
On Balotelli form Inter he looks very strong, seen him few times aginst Utd in Champs lge and Seria A but is poor mentally, by that I mean he can diappear of the pitch if he drills a shot wide, he’s nothing like say Rooney mental wise.

A striker I like alot is Gervinho, now hes mentally and physically tough, great skill, tight dribble, good aerially, would appera the complete package check out the below youtube even though doesnt do real justice

  297. dennisdamenace says:

A few weeks ago I was kicked out of school after getting caught fingering one of the girls from my class behind the bike sheds. When I was leaving the headmaster said it was a great pity because I was an excellent maths teacher!

  298. wardo says:

    A&N…..i like Eboue.

Did you see when Ade tried to hug him before the manshitty game ????

He made the hug look so awkward. He obviously does not like him any more…….good lad

  299. dennisdamenace says:

RockyP – What’s your view on Fabiano?

  300. RockyPires says:

Silvestre will be need tomorrow for sure.

  301. Arse&Nose says:

Wardo , saw that and it filled me with pride!

Adebayour purposely timed the hug to be on camera, Eboue just blanked him lol

  302. RockyPires says:

Denis I like Fabiano alot but wonder would he join us, he had his heart set on Milan and with TH14 not producing the goods could see Barca in for him but by all means would be a top signing and should adopt to EPL with ease.Well bar the weather, probably see him with gloves on for every game of the season.

  303. wardo says:

Gooner-pak…….liked that one by the way.

Think you now hold joke of the day so far !!!

  304. BigRaddy says:

Every time I see Anelka, it pisses me off that we didn’t sign him.

He wanted to come, we had the money.

AW says he looked at him but decided not to buy., but he hasn’t told uds why? I for one would like to know why. It was at the time RvP was out injured.

Let’s hope he has learned from that mistake, as I believe not signing Anelka cost us the title that year

  305. DavidR says:

Geoff – top post. I am a winner as well and the problem at the club is one of attitude – the vast majority of replies to your post revolve players, formation, who to buy etc but they are all missing the point that irrespective of technical ability, Arsene has replaced genuine winners with players who find mediocrity acceptable. Chelsea are better than us at the moment so in the game we should have been fighting for our lives and we weren’t and what brought it home was at 2-0 up and cruising, we had a chance in the Chelsea box and the Chelsea players were chucking their nuts at it like Keown in his heydey. The attitude stinks at the club and the joke of it is we have turned into fucking Spurs – pretty football, no trophies and worse, most ot the punters accept it. Wenger lost my support when he came out a couple of years ago and
said that we didn’t need a leader on the field and that he had 11 leaders – i thought he had gone mad – every single championship winning team has had one, two or even three fired-up fuckers leading by example on the pitch, keane, vieira, Adams, terry, souness, mackay – he denies we need that kind of character which is why there’ll be no trophies for a long while yet

  306. Mark C says:

BR – Wenger said before the Chelsea game we did not sign Anelka, because he did not bring ex-players back.

So for anyone thinking Henry and Vieira will be joining in Jan think again.

Someone mentioned Fabiano as a striker, I think he is great but will be cup tied for CL.

it will be interesting to see if we sign someone on loan, or buy a new striker. If we get a new striker, someone has to leave out of Vela, Eduardo and Walcott in my opinion.

  307. charybdis1966 says:

MarkC – for me the departee has to be Wlacott. Almost 4 years here and still only potential and injury-prone potential at that. It’s nothing personal against him I’m sure he’s a really nice lad, but he’s not doing it at Arsenal.
I was planning to go to the Stoke game tomorrow but I’m voting with my feet here – the appaling attitude shown by the players in the last 3 defeats has put me right off stumping up c.£80 a matchday for the tripe they serve up.

  308. ArsenalKenya says:

    @Rockypires—-Gervinho is good

  309. dennisdamenace says:

Mark C – If you have a chance of signing someone like Fabiano now, IMO you do it, cup tied or not, otherwise you buy a lesser talent just so he can play in a couple of cup games this season!

The same as if, for instance, the ‘dippers wanted to offload Torres in January, he wanted to come to us and no one else, they were willing to do business with us, we have the money, but we decide to give Torres a miss to go for some numpty like that fella at Bordeaux just because he can play a couple of ECL games this season….

  310. charybdis1966 says:

DDM – sorry to be picky but the numpty at Bordeaux can’t play in the ECL either, but point talken.

  311. BigRaddy says:

Chary. I respectfully disagree about Theo

  312. RockyPires says:

Whatever about he champions League we have to make sure we make top 4 this year in the premiership firstly then worry about being cup tied.

  313. charybdis1966 says:

That’s cool Radders, maybe I’m getting impatient with my passing years. I feel that older gooners are being slightly cheated in that promises of fulfilled potential will not come in their lifetimes.
I agree about the Pass master though, he does seem to be responsive to the feelings of fans, not just in the way he blanked Adeyoffsidebor, but the way he stays behind to sign autographs, claps the fans after games and apologises for poor performances(like today).
If only he stayed on his feet a bit more.

  314. Geoff says:

But that’s what’s wrong, everything is a Wenger rule, he’s like a woman, I don’t bring ex players back, I don’t shake hands, I won’t pay more than tuppence etc.

  315. wardo says:

DDM….if we ever had the chance of signing Torres, i’d be happy to get knocked out the ECL cause we’d be awesome in the prem with him.

Plus it would warrant some of the money I spend on tickets

  316. tonyadamsisgod says:

The worst thing about Wenger has to be that he believes his rule to be right and its everyone else thats wrong!! Like player Valuation! If Wenger’s believes a player is worth a £10m bid and 5 other managers are bidding £20m then who is in the wrong?? It doesn’t matter if the high bids are coming from the rich clubs…..it still comes down to what clubs are willing to pay! If we have no money then its our fault! But we all know we do!!

  317. BigRaddy says:

Come on Chary, you are but a wee strip of a lad. Just out of short trousers etc etc.

    Eboue. Nice block, crap midfielder.

I would prefer an arsehole of a man, superb player. Like John Terry

  318. charybdis1966 says:

I think it’s when you realise that you have less of your life left than you’ve already had that you begin to worry about how more seasons you have left watching us, Radders.
I don’t think the pass master is so bad, not world class obviously, but he appears to me that he tries all the time and it is that which has caused me to change my view on him from last season; whereas with Diaby and Theo, sadly it’s gone the other way.
You’re right about Wenger being a bit of a girly about resigning ex players – all the hallmarks of a dumped ex there. Why can’t he just be pragmatic sometimes?

  319. The below match has been un-dated from the start of the season, due to the Club’s involvement in the UEFA Champions League Play Off Round.

We now know that the match will now be played on one of the following two dates:

    Arsenal v Bolton Wanderers
Tuesday 5th January or Wednesday 6th January 2010
    Kick Off 7.45pm

The date of the match should be confirmed on Monday (December 7), when the Club will also be advised by the FA of the exact date of the FA Cup Third Round tie against West Ham United at Upton Park on the preceding weekend.

  320. Phillipe Senderos is hoping to bring an end to his troubles at Arsenal by securing a move elsewhere.

The Swiss defender was loaned out to Italian giants AC Milan last season after struggling to hold down first-team football at Emirates Stadium.

His situation has failed to improve upon his return to England, with Arsene Wenger preferring William Gallas and Thomas Vermaelen as his first-choice centre-half pairing.

Senderos admits his lack of action is starting to give him cause for concern, especially as the 2010 World Cup is drawing ever closer.

He has informed Wenger of his desire to take on a fresh challenge away from North London, and the 24-year-old hopes a deal can be struck during the January transfer window.

“I have held a meeting with Arsene Wenger and I hope the door has been opened for me to leave Arsenal in January,” Senderos told Marca.

“I need to play regularly if I am to make the 2010 World Cup with Switzerland.

“At the moment I do not have this opportunity and I must now consider my options.”

Senderos is reported to be attracting interest from Atletico Madrid and admits he is open to the prospect of a switch to Spain.

“Spain has one of the best leagues in the world and is very attractive to any footballer,” he said.

“I have played matches against Spanish clubs before and their level is very high.”

  321. gooner-pak says:

    there is dilemma
i was praying that O lord may this month brings best of result for AFC..but then i thought if things go 100% or say 80% arsenal way arsene might not spend a peny in january window!!!!!!!!!!

  322. BigRaddy says:

    Know that feeling Chary.

For me the ideal and extremely unlikely scenario, would be for AW to decide he has had enough in Summer and become the French National coach, and for us to take BigMouth Mourinho as our new manager.

I know most would be against that, but Mourinho is a winner and will bring a different style of management to the club.

But I know AFC would never pay his wages, and most Gooners detest the man.

  323. SP says:

It goes without saying, that we need some big performances from our squad of crap tomorrow against Stoke, but I’m expecting Arshavin to be as non-influential as recent times because it appears that he is so fed up with life at Arsenal due to the stuff he keeps bleating on about in the press.

We must win tomorrow just to give us something to cheer about and it would be nice to see us score, but can we keep a clean sheet?

I don’t care who gets picked to play for Arsenal tomorrow as long as they work there nuts off and show some passion and pride about playing for the club.

As for Theo being injured yet again…………well, what can you say?

  324. tonyadamsisgod says:

BR – I’d be right up for that! My vote yesterday went to Hiddink but he only just beat Jose for me. Not much in it.

  325. Mimi says:

But that’s what’s wrong, everything is a Wenger rule, he’s like a woman, I don’t bring ex players back, I don’t shake hands, I won’t pay more than tuppence etc. I AM OFFENDED GEOFF.
Wuuld rather he’d punched the poor sod’s lights out? That wanker had it coming. He’s lucky Wenger only refused to shake his hand.

  326. Mimi says:

    would you rather**

A father called his college student son down from his room for dinner one evening. As he came down his mother asked him why he took so long to come down and he replied ” I was just revising some maths with Jennifer in my room…”

He walked over to the dinner table and grabbed a bite, after nibbling on the food he turned to his mom and said “Nice fish cakes…”

“Go and wash your hands son, that’s a muffin…” said his mother.

While swimming in the nude at a deserted beach, the young man sustained a painful sunburn over his body. Later that night, while in bed with his date, he found the agony unbearable and so stepped into the kitchen to pour a tall glass of cold milk and submerged the object of his greatest discomfort.
“My God!” the girl gasped, watching him from the doorway. “I’ve always wondered how men load that thing!”

  329. gooner-pak says:

The fortyish man decided to give up his bachelorhood and had just jumped on the bandwagon in the dating scene. Prudish and puritanical, he was overly concerned over the flimsiest of fears that anything he did could have seriously affacted his health. He would therefore constantly call his doctor to ask for advice.
One night, the doctor was awakened by a telephone call. The man explained, “Doctor, I’m sorry to disturb you from your sleep, but you see, I have this chick with me right now and I’m not sure if she has TB or VD.”
The irritated doctor replied tersely, “If she coughs, fuck her!”

  330. Keyser says:

Tonyadamsisgod – I don’t think it’s much of a rule, more how much we can afford to pay.

  331. gooner-pak says:

There’s this really old guy at an old-timer’s dance, and the problem is that he hasn’t scored any sex for a long time. He’d been dancing with all the grandmas all night, but still hadn’t got any action.

Frustrated, he approached an old grandma and said “I’m having no luck scoring a woman. How about coming back to my place for a quicky? I’ll give you 20 bucks!” She says “Sounds good, let’s go.”

They get back to his place and after a bit of foreplay, they head for the bedroom. He’s loving the sex, and can’t get over how tight she is for such an old woman, maybe she’s a virgin. After the whole performance, he rolls off of her and says “Wow! Lady if I had of known you were a virgin, I would have given you 50 bucks”

Surprised, she says “If I had of known you were actually going to get a boner then I would have taken my stockings off!!”

  332. gooner-pak says:

A guy was sitting in a bar when a stranger walked up to him and asked, “If you woke up in the woods and scratched your butt and felt vasoline, would you tell anyone?”
    “Hell no!” the guy said.

The stranger then asked, “If you felt further into your crack and pulled out a used condom, would you tell anyone?”
The man said, “Of course not.”
    “Wanna go camping?”

  333. gooner-pak says:

This guy walks into a bar, moping around, and looking generally depressed. He saddles up to the bar, craddles his head in his arms, and sits there being miserable. The bartender, sympathetic guy that he is, comes up to him and asks: “Hey buddy, what’s wrong?”

    He answers:
“Oh hell, I just found out that my younger brother is gay, and I’m not taking it very well.”

The bartender offers him a drink on the house and tries to console him. He downs the drink, proffers his thanks, and leaves the bar shaking his head.

The next day, the same guy walks into the bar, looking even more bedraggled and depressed. “Wow, what’s the matter?” says the bartender. “Well” the client says, “you won’t believe it, my middle brother is also gay. This is a real shock, and I don’t know how to handle it!” “Here” sighs the bartender, and offers the guy another drink on the house who downs it instantly, then shuffles out the door.

Two days pass, and the miserable guy comes in looking absolutely shattered. He’s a walking wreck, sobbing and muttering to himself as he saddles up to the bar. “Omigod!” says the bartender, what happened to you?” ” Well, I just found out that my older brother is gay as well. I don’t know what to do!” “Holy shit!” says the bartender ” Isn’t there anybody in your family who likes pussy?”

The shattered man looks up, eyes red, and answers pitifully, “My sister…”

  334. Geoff says:

Mimi I was making the point about his rules, he should have only one concern, what’s best for Arsenal, not re signing Anelka for £15mil was just stupidity.

As far as hitting Hughes is concerned, if someone called me a fucking wanker, he get a good hiding.

Wenger only squares up to wimps like Alan Pardue though.

Have you anything useful to say other than that?

  335. colonel mustard says:

you shake hands at end of a match…if you don’t understand this you have’nt played football at ANY level…..end of story…please dont defend Wegner on this..He is dead wrong. Whatever Hughes did. which was’nt much.

  336. Geoff says:

I agree with that Colonel. It’s what real men do.

  337. gooner-pak says:

    ok i m off now

  338. Keyser says:

Thats the point though, what did Hughes do ? Hughes could have been a complete cunt, bollocks to this shake hand thing, you shake hands if you want to, there’s far too much of this shit going around where you greet someone for the sake of it, if you don’t like someone you don’t like them.

  339. Keyser says:

Real Men don’t moan about silly little things like that, sounds a bit gay to me.

  340. Keyser says:

Heh, Real men don’t care if they look a bit gay doing things, they do them anyway, catch 22, a real man would know what to do.

  341. Gunner win 1 says:

I heard that Wenger did not shake his hand because Mark Hughes told Wenger that he just had a good wank watching Wengers little choir boys playing football…

  342. Arsenal Tom says:

Raddy….. a PL trophy would soon sort out the feeling towards him!! plus he’d keep the good small players like fab, nasri, arsh and bring in the brutes where needed!!

and to be fair he’d only probably sign the players that we all want as fans!!

  343. Keyser says:

I honestly don’t think Mourinho would take the job, he’d want guarantees that he’d be back by big money, he’s been very meticulous in the jobs he’s taken since Porto, and he’ll probably go to Spain next.

  344. goonermichael says:

Being cup tied isn’t really an issue. we need someone for the league and FA cup. I’d love dzeko. Balotelli has had bananas thrown at him playing for Italy by Italian fans apparently.

  345. colonel mustard says:

Keyser…if Ferguson…Benetiz etc. did’nt shake hands you would be down on them. Again its time our manager starts to feel real pressure from fans and media. it hopefully might shake him out of his blinkers. I don’t mind us losing as long its not because of the same mistakes made year on year….failing to enlarge squad, play players in proper positions, failure to address tactical mistakes especially defensive set pieces and basic marking and most of all fighting spirit..i swear 11 fans in the City away end who were half decent at football would have given more fighting spirit then the team put out that night.

  346. dennisdamenace says:

Chary – Foreshame on you! I was using him as an example of going for a lesser talent. Mh point was ALWAYS go for the top talent if you can, if it’s available regardless of being cup tied, like Arshavin last January….

  347. goonermichael says:

Great joke gooner pak . I enjoyed it when I heard it at school in the 70′s :)

  348. goonermichael says:

The others are all good :)

  349. Keyser says:

colonel mustard – No, you’d want to know why they didn’t shake hands, apart from that if thats what you choose to focus on, I think it’s pretty pathetic, if Hughes was that bothered he could have talked to Wenger afterwards instead of talking to the press, fuck him he’s a massive cunt, it gave him something to put his face to and look at the media eat it up.

If Fergie did that, you’d probably get loads of fuckwits on here saying how clever he was for distracting everyone from the teams performance.

    Heh.

  350. charybdis1966 says:

What Wenger should have done, as I read elsewhere, was when the mankskummer proffered hois had, was to sidle up to him and whisper in his ear “You cock sandwich” while shaking hi shand. While the manksummer’s face fell the cameras would have seen Hughes have a hissy fit and he would have looked a prat.

  351. goonermichael says:

A girl get’s into a cab and realises she’s left her purse at home.

She has an idea and slips her knickers off and puts them in her bag.

When they arrive the cab driver say’s 23 pounds love.

She say’s I forgot my purse but I can pay with this and lifts her skirt up

Cab driver say’s show me again

    she lifts it up

    Haven’t you got anything smaller?

  352. Mark C says:

What would people say if Barca offered us 25 mill for Arshavin – and Wenger spent it on someone like Fabiano?

With the way the guy is sulking now I could be tempted?

  353. tonyadamsisgod says:

Hughes played it perfectly in trying to get one over on a top manager! The nation is still talking about City dicking Arsenal because of it and next time we meet City Hughes will be well inside Wenger’s head!!

  354. Keyser says:

Heh, Hughes will be in Wenger’s head ? Or maybe Wenger cares as little about Hughes as he does shaking his hand.

Maybe by then Hughes has drawn another 6 games and been sacked.

  355. tonyadamsisgod says:

Mark C – I know were you’re coming from but add without taking away. And if we do have to sell to buy, which I find hard to believe, then sell the shed load of mediocre players we have in the squad.

  356. Mr B says:

    Hey Everyone

I have a question are any of all Virgins?

  357. Arsenal Tom says:

mark c… cant say id be too upset! but we’d need a replacement as well cos rosicky and theo cant be trusted to stay fit

  358. Pedro says:

Oh fuck off Keyser… playing the ‘only supporter in the village’ card again.

People would say the same about Fergie as they said about Wenger.

    It was petulance.

  359. colonel mustard says:

Question for you Keyser…would Wegner have shook hands if he won? of course he would…it was because he lost not because of what he said. Hughes wisely chose to field his best team after the 6 draws to win the ‘mob’ back…and he did…pressure off….Wegner choose the kids and got steamrolled.

  360. Keyser says:

Maybe thought we lost anyway, let Hughes have the limelight, I want that dopey cunt to be manager for as long as possible.

  361. Pedro says:

Mr B, your question doesn’t make sense.

Mark C, I find it difficult to get annoyed with a player who tells it as it is.

He’s just repeating what we all talk about…

  362. Mark C says:

Wenger might have not shaken Hughes’s hand, so it will deflect the loss, the lack of goals, and the poor performance of the team AND MANAGER !!!

  363. Mr B says:

Well Peds Im still a Virgin cuz the last time I checked nobody had fucked me in the Arse.

  364. Keyser says:

Pedro – Is that you Geoff ?!

Yeah, petulence, that made everyone forget about the teams performance to focus on a meaningless handshake.

  365. tonyadamsisgod says:

Keyser – Yeah or maybe they’ll dick us again!!

  366. Mr B says:

Its a joke but it would be better If any of u had said No.

  367. Arsenal Tom says:

mark c… i said the same yesterday mate! great minds old boy!!

  368. Pedro says:

Keyser, it hasn’t made everyone forget about the performance.

  369. Keyser says:

tonyadamsisgod – Loads of maybes here, heh.

  370. Arse&Nose says:

Tony pullis is another british bulldog cunt who is getting involved in the handshake affair, i hope we thrash stoke then make him wait 5 minutes for wengers handshake.

  371. Keyser says:

Pedro – It’s taken up a whole lot of the media’s focus though.

  372. charybdis1966 says:

I’d suspected I’d gotten the wrong end of the stick when I said that. It’s my time of month.

  373. tonyadamsisgod says:

Keyser – With some seeming a lot more likely than others. If anyone came out of that game with an edge of the other it was Hughes. And next time he’ll do it all again, get in Wenger’s face and upset the big baby! Wenger is a terrible loser, we all know that. But like too many people have said, call him a cunt, talk him down, threaten him, do what you want but just shake his hand and be a man!

  374. Keyser says:

Wait a fucking minute ‘only supporter in the village’ card ? heh, thats kind of funny.

  375. Pedro says:

It’s taken up more media focus than the result on its own would have.

Where is the benefit in that?

  376. tonyadamsisgod says:

Every time we hear about the hand shake saga people automatically think “why didn’t he?” and then remember that we got shafted 3-0.

  377. Keyser says:

tonyadamsisgod – Wenger might next time, I might not care, far too much has been made of it then was necessary, we lost 3-0 I’m more worried about Stoke.

  378. Keyser says:

Pedro – You tell me, what are we discussing right now.

  379. tonyadamsisgod says:

Keyser – now that we can share something in common with. I’m more than worried!

  380. Mark C says:

Pedro – re Arshavin – I am not sure if he has been found out, but he has been very in-effictive in games, and whilst he is vocally passionate, he does not show the same on the pitch.

He is like a mini Henry – bags of skill but plenty of attitude which rubs off on other players.

Vela on the otherhand, whilst he has not scored he has really put in the effort in games, got in the right places, and played for the team

  381. Del says:

    tonyadamsisgod
I work for the french thats the way they are, french rules are right and everyone elses are wrong.

  382. tonyadamsisgod says:

Mark C – I think he is either sulking or getting disillusioned with how bad this team really is. The boy just wants to win and he knows that aint gonna happen with the players he’s stood next to. I think its that simple.

  383. Geoff says:

You mean the only gay supporter in the village surely?

  384. tonyadamsisgod says:

    Del – Yeah I think I’ve heard that before! I don’t envy you! :-)

  385. Keyser says:

tonyadamsisgod – We both support Arsenal.

  386. dennisdamenace says:

More like time o’ the season matey ;)

  387. Keyser says:

Geoff – Did you make tat connection all on your own ? Well done, but unfortunately I’m not gay, maybe you could post an ad up somewhere, Good Luck.

  388. Geoff says:

I think you are a right raver Keyser. You protest too much to be straight. And you’re a tease.

  389. Duke says:

    goonermichael, hahahah

  390. Keyser says:

Geoff – I think you’re looking too hard, I doubt you’re going to find MR Right on here, you need to maybe visit some bars, or find a mutual friend.

  391. Pedro says:

Tis true… the Keyser doth protest too much.

That was Shakespeare reworked for Le Grove.

  392. Geoff says:

I have Keyser, you! I’m just not sure I’m ready to make that step, give me the weekend to think about it.

No wait, I recovered. Sorry mate!

  393. tonyadamsisgod says:

And he seems to know where you should be looking! Watch out boys!! :D

  394. choy says:

    Eboue,

    The only player to apologise!

nasridane you are right.. top top man!

  395. Keyser says:

Geoff – To be honest I don’t think you have to look far to find true love, it’s almost cute this.

Unless you’ve already hacked the back doors into Pedro’s account.

  396. Duke says:

Good for Eboue, I now have a new found respect for the man, good lad.

  397. B.B.K. says:

    very good post today,well said

  398. insidealbania says:

whats this I’m reading about a Geoff, Keyser, Pedro threesome?

  399. insidealbania says:

What do the Grovers think of getting Gatuso?

  400. Pedro says:

I know inside… Keyser’s been sending very crude e-mails all day.

  401. tonyadamsisgod says:

inside – I’m not sure he’s up to it? To be honest I haven’t seen anything of him for ages so I cant really pass any viable judgement on him!

  402. Duke says:

    inside, too old.
The thing is, we need someone to play there before Song comes good. But it is too late for that, he won’t be happy being back on the bench. So no chance getting someone like Gat for a season or two to let Song mature.
The only way now is replacing him. Meaning we need someone around 25-26, De Rossi, Tulalan, etc.

  403. Keyser says:

Pedro’s been using them to spice up his and Geoff’s brooding relationship.

  404. insidealbania says:

Song is only 22 (I think) and I cant see him complaining if he sits on the bench for 2 seasons. Eboue seems to have accepted this, and with the amount of games we have and injuries Song will still get games.

  405. tonyadamsisgod says:

    De Rossi!!!!!!!!

  406. Pedro says:

Wrong on a level you’ll never know keyser!

    haha!

  407. Keyser says:

Somehow I’m thankful for that. Heh.

  408. insidealbania says:

looks like the jokes have been temporarily swapped for some man love.

  409. tonyadamsisgod says:

Exactly! I wouldn’t give a fuck what Song said or did! If you don’t like it sonny….fuck off!! You’ve done well to blag it this far!!

It’s like listening to my stylists. Kiss and make up girls :)

  413. Duke says:

That’s what I meant, we have to replace him now. Look at Sanderos, he is not happy…

  414. tonyadamsisgod says:

    This tastes bloody lovely!!!
    Recipe:
    Ingredients:
    * 2 cups flour
    * 1 stick butter
    * 1 cup of water
    * 1 tsp baking soda
    * 1 cup of sugar
    * 1 tsp salt
    * 1 cup of brown sugar
    * Lemon juice
    * 4 large eggs
    * Nuts
    * 2 bottle wine
    * 2 cups of dried fruit

Sample the wine to check quality. Take a large bowl, check the wine again.
To be sure it is of the highest quality, pour one level cup and drink. Repeat.
Turn on the electric mixer. Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl.
Add one teaspoon of sugar. Beat again.
At this point it’s best to make sure the wine is still OK. Try another cup… Just in case. Turn off the mixerer thingy. Break 2 eggs and add to the bowl and chuck in the cup of dried fruit.
Pick the frigging fruit up off floor. Mix on the turner.. If the fried druit gets stuck in the beaterers just pry it loose with a drewscriver. Sample the wine to check for tonsisticity. Next, sift two cups of salt. Or something.
    Check the wine.
Now shift the lemon juice and strain your nuts. Add one table. Add a spoon of sugar, or some fink. Whatever you can find. Greash the oven. Turn the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over. Don’t forget to beat off the turner. Finally, throw the bowl through the window.

Finish the wine and wipe counter with the cat. Go to ASDA and buy a cake.

    Bingle Jells!

The Arsenal manager has faced a storm of criticism after snubbing Hughes at the final whistle following the 3-0 quarter-final defeat on Wednesday night.

But today Wenger stood by his actions and said: “Tomorrow, by coincidence, I am managing my 500th game at Arsenal and I believe I have shaken hands 497 times. I believe that it is a ceremonial courtesy. But the most important is not the ceremonial but the courtesy of behaviour.

“I don’t deny I am a bad loser but on this occasion I would have done exactly the same if we had won the game or lost the game.

“I am in accordance with the principles I think are important on the football pitch and I maintain exactly what I said and did.

“I am used to treating this kind of thing with the needed distance. I do not want to make a fuss. There are incidents on the touchline but you never heard me ever say anything about another manager after the game, in a press conference or after during the week.

“I maintain exactly the way I behave and do not regret one second of what I did. If the world has no bigger problems than this then it is not so bad.”

    Afternoon all,

    Handshake-Gate….finally some sense !!

    From the Guardian:

Being a bad loser is nothing to be proud of, but nor is being a hypocrite. It was bizarre to see Mark Hughes taking the moral high ground as he took umbrage to the post-match handshake snub delivered by Arsène Wenger, when the Manchester City manager had hardly been a paragon of courtesy during the game itself.

Let’s rewind to an incident in the first half – the root cause of the handshake slight. The ball went out of play in front of the away dugout when the game was scoreless and devoid of any particular tension. Hughes sauntered into the Arsenal technical area, patrolled right in front of Wenger, kicked the ball, and strode back out of enemy territory as if he was auditioning for a John Wayne movie. When Wenger expressed his disapproval of a gesture that was plainly designed to be provocative, Hughes responded with the kind of posturing normally seen by someone who has had a little too much ale and is looking for a late night fight. It was written all over his face: “Oi, Wenger, outside!”

The husband replied, “All I wanted to do was to fuck your brains out, and suck your tits dry.”

Then, as the wife undressed, she asked, “What are you thinking now?”

He replied, “It looks as if I did a pretty good job.”

Arsène Wenger will NOT bid for Mario Balotelli.

Arsenal have been linked with a move for the Inter Milan striker and, according to newspaper reports, are battling with Chelsea for the 19-year-old’s signature.

Wenger told Arsenal.com last week that he would be in the market for a new player in light of Robin Van Persie’s long-term injury and the rumour mill is cranking into gear with the transfer window less than four weeks away.

But on this occasion, the Frenchman insists that the media have got it wrong.

“We are not interested in Mario Balotelli, you can write that,” said Wenger.

“Chelsea can buy him as much as they want, they have no competition on the subject.

“I read today that we are competing with Chelsea for the player, but it’s not true.”

Johnny moans and says “But my mummy lets me”.

“OK then, just for tonight” the teacher replies.

Johnny jumps into bed with her and asks “Miss can I please play with your belly button with my finger”.

    She again says “NO”.

“But my mummy lets me” says Johnny again.

“Well I suppose it’s OK” replies the teacher.

Things are silent for a few minutes until the teacher leaps up screaming “THAT’S NOT MY BELLY BUTTON”

Little Johnny replies “It aint my finger either”.

A guy walks into a sperm donor bank wearing a ski mask and holding a gun. He goes up to the nurse and demands her to open the sperm bank vault. She says “But sir, its just a sperm bank!”, “I don’t care, open it now!!!” he replies. So she opens the door to the vault and inside are all the sperm samples. The guy says “Take one of those sperm samples and drink it!”, she looks at him “BUT, they are sperm samples???” , “DO IT!”. So the nurse sucks it back. “That one there, drink that one as well.”, so the nurse drinks that one as well. Finally after 4 samples the man takes off his ski mask and says, “See honey – its not that hard.”

what we need is a goalscorer: huntelaar

    team against stoke:

    almunia
    sagna gallas vermaelen traore
    fabregas denilson rosicky
    nasri eduardo arshavin

-god help us to get out of this

  500. Pat says:

A, why is Balotelli not a target?

  501. A says:

huntelaar is a goalscorer?! must’ve missed that one! what we need is a good all round forward, no idea who though.

my team tomorrow against stoke is

    fabianski

    sagna gallas vermy traore

    cesc denilson ramsey

    nasri eduardo arshavin

or maybe vela in for ramsey and nasri swapping with him.

We should destroy stoke, reckon vela will score tomorrow too, as well as eduardo. Very annoying theo getting a niggle though

  502. A says:

Wenger said in the press conference Pat

  503. A says:

“We are not interested in Mario Balotelli, you can write that,” said Wenger.

“Chelsea can buy him as much as they want, they have no competition on the subject.

“I read today that we are competing with Chelsea for the player, but it’s not true.”

  504. choy says:

I think we need a battering ram so that the midgets can run around freely.

  505. A says:

yeah choy, still gotta be someone who can come deep, and drift out wide, interlink, and swap with the other strikers, it’s a tough one to pick

  506. goonermichael says:

Do you think there’s any possibility of getting Dzeko A?

  507. A says:

dunno gm, i guess can’t rule it out. Be a risk though, coming from the german league. If wenger rates him and he’s available then you never know. I’d imagine if he became available though Milan would ship off Huntelaar asap and Dzeko would be straight in there

  508. leon says:

big suprise big phil is looking move on the jan which i feel is a shame because he could be a realy good player i have seen alot worse defenders than him,but in my view he is to good a player to warming the bench but is good enough to be top 4 defender.

for next game i feel a 442 would much better formation i dont think edwardo can play loan striker but he is a very good finisher and plus he has been out for long it will take him time i say that is the same nasri and aa who are not fully match fit. as far targets i realy dont want see anyone younger that 24 come in now this team has enough young players comming through this team needs some midfield generals experienced players and better cb cover and a striker and a 1st class keeper

  509. A says:

leon if nasri and arshavin aren’t fully fit where would they play?! 4-4-2 means nasri, arshavin or rosicky being more confined and having more defensive responsibilities, denilson and cesc likewise, and having less protection, and in general the whole team having to play a system different to the one they’ve spent 9 months or so working on!

fabianski is a first class keeper, i agree we need cb cover with sendy going, wonder who we’ll get in. Someone like subotic would be ideal, though a risk, i’ll leave it to the scouts to decide if he’s got what it takes for the prem!

  510. Pat says:

    Fabianski
    Sagna Gallas Verm Traore/Silvestre
    Cesc Denilson Nasri
    Vela Arshavin Eduardo

I’d like to see that, but Wenger will probably go with Eduardo centrally. Arshavin could keep the ball much better, even as a CF, than Eduardo.

  511. A says:

Absolutely Traore over Silvestre Pat, I’d agree about the rest too, all those front three could rotate the central role, prob with Eduardo starting centrally. Agree about Arshavin too, much better with his back to goal, I’d like him playing centrally

  512. choy says:

Playing Vela and Eddie will be good, they can help each other out, one of rosicky or nasri to partner fab and denilson in the middle!

  513. chozzer says:

People are saying that Tiger Woods’ driving has always been a bit wayward, but he is used to getting relief when going in the bush.

“What the FUCK was that” – Wonder Woman shouts.

The invisible man pipes up “I have no idea but my arse is fucking killing me”

    I’ll get me coat.

  515. goonermichael says:

Tommo :) the oldies are best

  516. Gunnersmith says:

“The fact that we have lost against out direct rivals this season signifies that we are not very good,” he said.

“We are not good on set-pieces because we don’t have many tall players – every other team has an advantage over us in this area.

“They were much stronger than us when it came to physical power. Had we possessed a tall player then things would have been better for us.

“We had nobody capable of holding on to the ball. We played good football against all these top teams but that is not enough.

“What we can change, only Arsene Wenger knows. He has been at the club for 13 years and knows the problems better than anyone.”

    “Moaning”
No 1 reason why wenger will always opt for an unestablished player

    ———————————–
Inter Milan manager Jose Mourinho has come out publicly criticising his striker Mario Balotelli. Fed up with the player’s arrogance, Inter’s Head Coach has decided enough is enough. If Balotelli wants to live up to his potential, he has to change.
At just 18 years of age, Palermo born Balotelli is already talked about as being one of the biggest up and coming talents in football. This season, the player they nick-named “SuperMario” has been used largely as a bit part player and has found his chances under the guidance of Jose Mourinho limited. In 13 Serie A games he has either started and been substituted or come on as a replacement.
    Mourinho himself has made his feelings about Balotelli clear. He is unhappy with the youngsters attitude, even in training where he should be doing all he can to show the manager he is worthy of a first team position he has failed to impress;
“Nothing has changed. Neither the way Balotelli works nor his attitude.”
He added that his effort in training was 25%. If he was at 50% he would be one of the best players in the world.
    It wasn’t just in training that Balotelli was letting himself down. Mourinho told the press that the atmosphere he creates around the squad is negative;
“I don’t like what he is currently bringing to the team and the way he works during the week. It’s not the right attitude for a young player who needs to arrive… He lacks concentration and motivations. He must change. Continuing like this in this team he will lose opportunities.”
It seems fair to assume that the young Italian thinks more highly of himself than he has reason to.
Rarely in professional football do you see a manager blast their own players so openly but perhaps Mourinho feels this is his last option, what he has to do in order to spark a reaction out of Balotelli. On the other hand, such comments could spell the end for Balotelli at Inter Milan. Chelsea, Fiorentina, Arsenal and Liverpool are all interested in the talents of the youngster but should the player move on, the transfer that looks the most likely is Sampdoria, whose midfielder Palombo is wanted by Mourinho.

  534. Gooby says:

imo balotelli is good signing. he has the winner mentality at least.

  535. Samir says:

    Balotelli is a class act.
    Big,strong and fast.
Bloody Wenger coming out and denying it, spoiling all our fun :(

  536. choy says:

If mourinho thinks he’s trouble then we’d rather stay away.

  537. Samir says:

    Arsenal’s Gazidis Agrees Zézinho Deal

Arsenal will return to Brazilian Serie ‘B’ outfit Juventude in January with a second and ultimately successful bid for their exciting play-maker José Luis dos Santos Pinto, known simply as Zézinho.

After the 17-year-old had a successful trial last summer, Arsenal have been intent on snapping up the Brazil Under 17 international but a bid of £1.5 million was rejected, with Juventude asking for closer to his buyout clause of £35 million. However, after prolonged negotiations, Ivan Gazidis has thrashed out an arrangement which will see around £5 million change hands for the prospects services.

A diminutive, skilful and strong left footed winger who can play as a striker, South American scout Sandro Orlandelli has been making regular checks including witnessing him bag a stunning winner against Portuguesa in August. Celta Vigo have already been in touch regarding a potential loan spell but Arsène Wenger is yet to assess his options.

Zézinho is one of the most experienced youngsters in the Brazil youth teams and you can check out the goal that Orlandelli watched the starlet score in August below.

  538. Samir says:

    Here’s our new left winger;

  539. Samir says:

    5m and another 17 year old…

  540. ritesh says:

    Balotelli is Adebayor bis

  541. Samir says:

    bis?

  542. SUGA3 says:

    bis = Mk II

  543. goonermichael says:

song, bendy and RVP same group

  544. B.B.K. says:

wasting more money on another kid, nice

  545. Samir says:

    Oh right. Thnx.

What do you lot think about buying Zézinho then?

    He could be amazing……
    Or he could be shitezaaa…….
    ??

  546. Samir says:

At least he is strong unlike Walcott.
Can play both down the left of CF.

  547. SUGA3 says:

I wouldn’t mind an arrogant player as long as AW gets himself a no.2 with a pair ;)

we really need a hairdryer-man on our books – AW is too soft on them and it shows…

  548. Samir says:

His real name is José Luis Santos Pinto.
    Zezinho is his nickname!

    Name: José Luis Santos Pinto
Data de nascimento: 14/03/92 Date of birth: 14/03/92
Naturalidade: Uruguaiana – RS Birthplace: Uruguaiana – RS
    Altura: 1,74 Height: 1.74
    Peso: 66 Weight: 66

  549. B.B.K. says:

why waste more money on another kid when the first team need major improvements

  550. SUGA3 says:

dunno about this Zezinho kid – his sale is said to have wiped off Juventude’s debts, he must be something else…

then again, if we can afford to pay £5M for a 17 year old, then we should not have a problem with spending £15-20M on an established player (a beast, Arsene, we know you read this, preferably two or three)…

  551. B.B.K. says:

yet again we are signing another midget

  552. Samir says:

Agreed, and at 1.74m another “small” player.

    We need experienced quality.

  553. goonermichael says:

it’s only 5 million BBK and we got loadsamoney

  554. ritesh says:

no suga…when u spend 3 x 5m it makes u feel less bad than when u have spent 15M..ppl can call u wise..u spread the risks between 3 players who fuck up 3 years later instead on one big signing who fucks up immediately

  555. SUGA3 says:

ritesh, neither of the 3 kids could make it and I’d rather have an established player…

  556. ritesh says:

yeah, but they get the arsenal disease of not playing well when they arrive…look at Shava

  557. george says:

it was not wenger that said that he would be in the first team under me it was carlo ancelotti although i would love arsene to sign balotelli it would be nice to have some one in the team with a bit of brute force

  558. Stu says:

If anything Arsh is the opposite. He was brilliant when he first arrived and is not shite after “settling”.

  559. SUGA3 says:

    ritesh,

Wenger just cannot handle players with attitude and has no idea about Slavic mentality, which tends to surface in the shape of busting a gut and bleeding for the cause and taking a piss when the management takes a piss ;)

  560. ritesh says:

how come he says hes no playing well every week stu

  561. Stu says:

Because he isnt playing well every week ritesh. I dont know why its happened like this but Arshavin has lost whatever cutting edge he had when he first arrived last season.

  562. ritesh says:

right suga..he needs players who fit the mould
if something is not right…analyse the statistics and work over it…On statistics, arsenal is the best team of the PL for the past 4 seasons. you name it, we have it.

  563. SUGA3 says:

no we don’t have physical presence, do we?

  564. Stu says:

Wengers problem is that he wants all his players to be “nice” like he is himself and that means the players dont have the “win at all costs” mentality because they want to play fair.

I hate cheaters as much as anyone else but its so fucking annoying when other clubs cheat to win and have nothing said against them but when we get a lucky decision there is a storm in the media about it.

I also hate “same old arsenal always cheating chant”. I hate it purely because we dont cheat. I do care what other people think of us. That chant is a blatent lie. I wouldnt mind it if it was actually true and we won a few things.

As Keyser always says we need to cunt up and start playing unfairly like the successful teams do (thats paraphrasing, not a quote).

  565. ritesh says:

The system Stu…dont think he gets along well with Cesc as well.. he was playing well when cesc was injured. his form dropped when cesc came back…same for Nasri..

  566. Stu says:

I dont think its the system ritest. He said himself that left side of a 4-3-3 is his best position so that cant be it.

Granted i would rather see him playing the free role behind a proper CF but we arent going to change formation halfway through the season. imo Arsh just needs to get his fitness sorted. He seems way off the pace far too much.

Either that or a few days off to get his head sorted about Russia not qualifying for the WC.

  567. SUGA3 says:

it’s more simple: holiday and seeing some people from Russia he has not seen for a bit – plenty of vodka and all that, he’ll come good in the winter, trust me…

  568. Stu says:

Yeah i was thinking give him a few weeks off so he can go to Russia or whatever but we play Liverpool on the 13th and we need him for that….depending on his form of course.

  569. ritesh says:

dont mind that stu..but its not going to happen..when anelka fucked up a 1 on 1 chance with the keeper, Viera would kick his arse

Now if sm1 does not play well, no player is thr to lift them up…we have no sprit, no character…we r a nice team as u say…we r wussies actually

  570. zeus says:

Wenger killed the Balotelli dream this morning and now he has done the same with Chamakh and Dzeko.

‘On Wolfsburg’s £20million-rated Bosnian striker Dzeko (below), a target of AC Milan, Wenger said: ‘I like the player, but they fly too high now, price-wise.’

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1233301/Arsenal-boss-Arsene-Wenger-rules-signing-strike-trio-Marouane-Chamakh-Edin-Dzeko-Mario-Balotelli-January.html

  571. Stu says:

Zeus, Wenger is an idiot. We watch Dzeko for more than a year before his stand out season and now that he is finally considered top class Wenger comes out with that gem. Too expensive? Bullshit excuse. He could have had him when he was cheap.

  572. ritesh says:

Gignac then? A promising french international with no experience of big matches…

  573. Stu says:

*by “we watch Dzeko” i mean arsenals scouts…

  574. SUGA3 says:

    Gignac is shit…

  575. SUGA3 says:

OK, maybe not shit, but too much of ‘hot & cold’…

  576. Stu says:

I’ve only seen Gignac play live once and he was fucking shit! But that was against Ireland and most of the french team were shit. Gignac did manage to score with a cracking finish though….shame it was offside.

  577. gnarleygeorge9 says:

    Morning all

    Any word on Maureen?

Wow! What a piss easy draw England got for the World Cup. I was going to say England has the “luck of the Irish”, but  that turn has flown out the door :)

  578. zeus says:

    @ gnarleygeorge9

    LMAO. Indeed

  579. zeus says:

This is what Wenger said in addition to ruling out those players.

But he said: ‘Let’s not dream too much. To find players who are world-class, have not played in the Champions League and are available, I wish you good luck. I’ll be on the market but that doesn’t mean I’ll buy.’

  580. gnarleygeorge9 says:

    *term

  581. A says:

Not had the best of starts to the season gignac – just 3 goals so far! Guess it depends on the rest of his game….

  582. Stu says:

How about buying some players in the fucking summer so there is no chance of them being cup tied. Ever think of that!

  583. gnarleygeorge9 says:

Cheers zeus, I’m well & truely over Wender Ways. Yet are Gooners who are not secure enough to want change coz they paint him as The Only One. Like some Cubans with Castro, or Zimbabweans with Mugabe.

  584. gnarleygeorge9 says:

    *there

  585. gnarleygeorge9 says:

    *Wenger

What is going on with my typing ;)

  586. ritesh says:

am not against wender…i just want DD around wender

  587. RayGooner says:

There are too much talk about players that are either “Cup-tied” (for the CL) or playing in the ACN in January…

I’ve said it before, the only striker Wenger will buy is Loïc Remy from Nice!

He is 22 y.o., has played for the French National Team and he would be able to play in both the PL and the CL, therefor he is the best option, and Wenger knows this, and also he wouldn’t cost nearly as much as Chamakh, Balotelli or Dzeko!

I don’t want to tell you guys “I told you so” come January…(but i guess i will anyway…)

  588. ritesh says:

    there’s nothing wrong wid Wender

  589. zeus says:

    @ gnarleygeorge9

Spot on. All he does is lie lately and by lately I mean the last few years. after the debacle at the emirates vs Man utd in the CL he spewed his platitudes of us needing experience and then he went and only spent on a 23 year old.
He is so unwilling to even consider the fact that some of his proteges may in fact turn out just like Senderos. The arrogance of this once great man in mind-boggling.

  590. Stu says:

There may be light at the end of the tunnel. Remember how last summer he said if he failed to win something this season there was likely to be a massive overhaul of the squad. Thats something to look forward to….i just hope he wasnt lying about that too.

  591. Gooby says:

    suga3- gignac is class

  592. A says:

We’ve got the title to look forward to Stu! 6-1 win against Stoke tomorrow, City give Chelsea a beating, no way an overhaul is going to be necessary

  593. SUGA3 says:

    zeus,

Senderos is a great player for Switzerland and has been grossly mismanaged by AW – so what if he got stuffed by Drogba, so did TV on Sunday…

  594. ritesh says:

    there nothing wrong wid wender…
he just needs someone to tell him to hire a guy like viera and put him captain again, a guy to tell him to buy some experienced players, and spend some money by taking an uzbek investor…

whats the use of having a nice investor like silent stan and getting fucked up in may…let Usmanov on board and then we will see how FA n media treat us. he will fuck them with his panel of lawyers like chelsea everytime they look for it

    Cheers to Usmanov!! alelouia

  595. SUGA3 says:

    A,

if you think we will beat Stoke 6-1, then you are delusional…

they’re quite well organised and Pulis is no mug…

  596. ritesh says:

massive overhaul…the junior teams in Africa and latin america are on alert..

Wenger is changing policy by pursuing players age 18 at least now.

  597. A says:

vieira who isn’t good enough to play for us anymore, and a piece of shit as owner?! No thanks!!

Usmanov is already too close to our club

  598. Stu says:

6-1 A? You feeling alright. Not even the most optomistic of gooners would predict that scoreline.

  599. A says:

SUGA3 we’ll see won’t we. If we don’t beat them by 3 goals i’m going to start to be very worried about the effect vp’s injury has had on our attacking capabilities

  600. A says:

I’ve got money on it Stu! The least goals we’ve scored at home apart from Chelsea, which is a special case is 3 goals, and we’ve been very complacent at times, the players will be REALLY up for it tomorrow. Stoke havn’t got AS bad an away record this season as they did last season, but they’ve played Blackburn, Hull, Bolton, and Birmingham! Misleading because of the fixtures they’ve had.

  601. Stu says:

Well we only beat them 4-1 at home last season and we are missing VP and are on horrible form right now.

  602. ritesh says:

viera not good for us…erm, u prefer denilson/song/diaby

think viera was a captain…a guy like TA who inspired the team..i miss him…and yea…he put his boot in

  603. A says:

Stu there has only been one game at home this season where we’ve not won by at least 3 goals, if we don’t do at the very least that when we’re really up for it then i’m gonna be deeming us to be in alot of trouble

  604. SUGA3 says:

well, prepare to be very worried – realistically, I’d say we will sneak a 2:1 win…

  605. Stu says:

Vieira is too old now to do what he did for us when he was here. He would be embarrassed by any player with pace and would have to foul everyone not to be made to look washed up…imo.

  606. A says:

yeah ritesh, vieira was awesome in his day, but he’s well past it, and denilson, song, and diaby are all much better now! Veiria would be a good leader, but he’d be humiliated playing wise in the prem!

  607. zeus says:

6-1? In mase you missed it, we have failed to score in our last 3 games I think. I would love to know where those 6 goals are going to come from.

  608. A says:

We’ll see SUGA, if that’s what happens i’ll be writing off our chances of winning the league

  609. Stu says:

Yeah A and that game we lost by 3 without VP. Our players arent ever “up for it”.

Its more likely that they will be shitting themselves against another physical team and struggle to win. Obviously tho im hoping for an emphatic victory…i could use a pick me up after a depressing 2 weeks.

  610. SUGA3 says:

    A,

what you conveniently miss out in your 3 goal difference per game mantra is that we played nobodies and whenever we played a proper team, we have lost…

with some presence, I would go for a high scoring win, without it we’ll find it tough…

  611. A says:

zeus only one of those games was home, and against chelsea, which is a VERY special case.

At home we’re a completely different team to away

At home the least goals we’ve scored (apart from the special case) is 3 goals, and in some of those games we could’ve taken teams to the cleaners but were complacent, that’s where i see the difference being now compared to the 3-1 against Birmingham, we’ll be really really up for it.

  612. SUGA3 says:

    A,

don’t you dare mentioning Denilson & Diaby in the same sentence with Paddy, unless there is a ‘not fit to clean his boots’ stuck in somewhere

  613. Stu says:

I thought you said we are never complacent until very late on A?

  614. SUGA3 says:

    A,

stop dwelling on bullshit stats – these mean fuck all, it was a different team…

  615. A says:

SUGA3 Stoke are a nobody! Last season they had one of the worst away records ever in the prem, and this season they’ve done a bit better, because they’ve had very very easy games.

You honestly saying Stoke at home is tougher than Spurs, Blackburn, Wigan?! And in fact any other team in the prem?!

  616. Stu says:

This season we have failed every major test…regardless of being home or away a loss is always a loss.

We shouldnt have lost to City, Sunderland, chelsea or united. Drawing against the big teams is fine but we lost comfortably and without putting up a fight.

  617. B.B.K. says:

    A Says:
    December 4, 2009 at 21:54
SUGA3 we’ll see won’t we. If we don’t beat them by 3 goals i’m going to start to be very worried about the effect vp’s injury has had on our attacking capabilities.have the last 2 games not given you an idea of how things are going to go

  618. B.B.K. says:

we will not win a game against liverpool united or chelsea this season

  619. SUGA3 says:

A, come on, we have LOST to them last season, away or not – I just don’t buy this home and away crap, btw – if it gets to them so much, they’re unprofessional, end of…

  620. A says:

lol bullshit stats SUGA3, and a different team, because of one player missing?!

At home we piss all over teams, and have done every team except for chelsea, and will do tomorrow! If we don’t we’re in ALOT of trouble.

Stu no I said we were never complacent until the game is won, at 3-0 a game is won, so rather than really go for the jugular and score another three we concede one, not that it makes any difference points wise, so not a big deal for me, but tomorrow we won’t be because of what has gone previously, so I expect us to really take them to pieces and not get complacent

  621. RayGooner says:

If you add the amount that each player in the Premier League Teams cost when they were bought, this is how much each team has spent…

    1. Chelsea – £198,750,000
    2. Man City – £192,070,000
    3. Tottenham – £162,400,000
    4. Man United – £152,850,000
    5. Liverpool – £129,800,000
    6. Arsenal – £90,650,000
    7. Aston Villa – £80,050,000
    8. Sunderland – £65,100,000
    9. West Ham – £51,320,000
    10. Birmingham – £41,350,000
    11. Everton – £39,300,000
    12. Fulham – £38,150,000
    13. Stoke – £35,725,000
    14. Blackburn – £33,000,000
    15. Bolton – £30,650,000
    16. Wigan – £22,500,000
    17. Hull – £19,820,000
    18. Portsmouth – £19,600,000
    19. Wolves – £18,125,000
    20. Burnley – £6,250,000

(Note that these are only the “known” transfer fees of each club, some transfers are not displayed for the public, sort of speak)…

  622. A says:

SUGA there is a MASSIVE difference between home and away for every single team, not just us, and it isn’t made up!

Last season Stoke had a home record in the top half of the league, and the worst away record by an absolute mile, it makes a big big difference, especially for stoke, who have long grass, and move the advertising boards for delap, have a smaller pitch so it makes everything more compact etc. Everything makes a difference at the top level, as everything shows

  623. SUGA3 says:

    A,

you clearly have no PRACTICAL idea about football, do you?

the very moment we lost RvP I said this is exactly what was going to happen: no goals + return of crab football, more to come…

sure, we can all wank over Denilson’s (just an example) completed passed, possession and all that, personally I just don’t give a fuck – the only statistic that interests me is:

Arsenal (a lot) – Opposition (nil)

  624. ritesh says:

what r we supposed to read there ray…why dont u publish the bank balances too..it means we r the richest team in terms of bank balances if u publish them

Also publish the salaries per team..

  625. SUGA3 says:

    A,

one way or another, we get spanked by big teams home and away on the regular basis and we cock up away against teams that should be bricking themselves in their HOME dressing rooms – Wenger gave us the fear factor, then fucked it up…

  626. A says:

lol no idea at all SUGA, we’ll see tomorrow. All stats are relevant, none tell the whole story, though home/away isn’t an analytical stat as such, it’s just pretty much a fact!

The most important “stat” is goals for and against. That comes as a result of loads and loads of other different things that can be analysed by a combination of loads of other stats, both individually and collectively

  627. A says:

SUGA3 stoke aren’t a big team, who’s talking about big teams?! There’s only been one game at home against non-big teams where we havn’t won by at least 3 goals, and that was a walk in the park that could’ve been double the scoreline if we weren’t so complacent. At home we don’t cock up, and tomorrow we’re at home.

  628. ritesh says:

now wenger gives us nice things..we r nice passing team with nice bank balance
nice stadium, nice new owner…its such a nice world
we even qualify for CL every year

  629. SUGA3 says:

    A,

as far as I am concerned, there should be a stat on how many times a player needed a kick up his arse to apply himself

  630. RayGooner says:

the thing to read in to about that list is it looks like it could really be the final table of this season…
with the exception of Spurs, they won’t finish 3rd, if they do, i’ll kill myself…

  631. SUGA3 says:

there is just too much nervousness in the squad atm, there is no clear leader (a TA6/PV4 like figure) who would calm them down and pull it all together…

  632. A says:

lol Ray you genuinly believe that?! You reckon City will finish above us, and liverpool, and even utd?! if we don’t finish in the top 3 then i’ll never post on here again! If we fail to score 3 goals tomorrow then i’ll be worried, but there’s still no way in hell we won’t be top 4

  633. zeus says:

    A,
You forget that during our early games we had Robin playing and confidence was sky high. This team has yet to show that they have quick ‘bounce-back-ability’. This slip could easily turn into a major slide, we’ve seen that happen before.

  634. SUGA3 says:

    Ray,

Spuds always spent a lot of dough and fuck it up, you’ll live ;)

  635. A says:

SUGA3 I’m not sure it would, no one player could change things, it’s the mentality as a whole, collectively that needs to change, as well as individually of every other player. An example to follow and leader would be nice, but imo wouldn’t actually make much difference. I don’t see any easy solution for the problems in the big games, it’s gonna take time before we can win them again, which is why I see our only real chance of success being in the league, where it doesn’t matter so much

  636. SUGA3 says:

    *fucked it up

  637. B.B.K. says:

1st and 2nd spot are going to be fought out between united and chelsea then there will be a real scramble for 3rd i think that spot is open for anyone that will be the most consistent, any one of arsenal, liverpool, spurs, man city and villa can end up there,it will be the most open spot to finish in years…

  638. A says:

zeus in our early games there was clamouring on here for eduardo to play centrally, because vp missed too many chances, and wasn’t a central striker etc! VP is a very good player, but not the be all and end all, cesc, arshavin, nasri, rosicky will still create plenty of chances

  639. ritesh says:

    yes, major slide possibility..

we peaked now, we r in free fall… we have to wait for a stricker to come in January to save us…ohno, he will be injured in feb cause he comes from france and is not used to the physicality and weather here..

argh, those rubbish players who just kick us..and that rain.. we should have covered stadiums with temperature control facilities

  640. A says:

BBK i don’t see there being any way Utd will fight for the title. It’ll be Chelsea up there, with us challenging if we still score loads of goals against the smaller teams, otherwise we’ll be challenging for 2nd/3rd with Utd, and Liverpool/City/Spurs for 4th, but probably Liverpool comfortablyish in the end

  641. SUGA3 says:

    A,

I know a solution: sell a few underperforming players (financial and motivational gain), buy 3 monsters (CF, DM, CB), put Fabianski in goal (he would do with a team that has a spine in front of him)…

  642. zeus says:

Is this true. Heard the Arseblogger and the le-grove crew has beef.

  643. ritesh says:

sure they will A…but we wont wing the league again…coz some shit did not buy a couple of players
coz no money…coz no uzbek…only a guy across the pond …who they arsenalised ;-)

  644. B.B.K. says:

a you need to accept that united will be up there, because even though they are shi by there standards, they are still better then us,we won’t be finishing 3rd at the rate we are going

  645. B.B.K. says:

yeah it is zeus pedro headbutted him against tottnumb and it all kicked off

  646. ritesh says:

I vote for that Suga…Sell Cesc, Denilson, Walcott, Nasri…BUY monsters…BUY a guy like YAYA TOURE, NIANG, Chamack..then we talk championship

  647. A says:

suga3 i expect fabianski to start tomorrow, and do very well

bbk utd won’t be up there, whether or not they’re better than us is debatable, but they’re much worse than chelsea, and unless they make very good signings in jan they won’t get near chelsea

  648. A says:

    lol ritesh

  649. zeus says:

    @ B.B.K
Really? Thought it was just a ‘whose got the better blog thing.’ No idea physical violence was involved.

  650. ritesh says:

so chelsea all the way …. cool..we will battle with who??? utd are no good for Chelsea but too good for us..

liverpool not good enough to battle us…the tiny Totts?

  651. B.B.K. says:

united are better then us because they can go away to difficult places and still get a result,we can’t.United will show that tomorrow,if they go into a 2 goal lead they will certainly not surrender it like we did.

  652. B.B.K. says:

nah im just winding you up zeus sorry,,,, 8-) .

  653. SUGA3 says:

    ritesh,

I think Denilson and Diaby can go, as they don’t bring anything to the table that cannot be replaced…

Yaya would be great, but again we would be fucked every 2 years during ACN, would add Sakho + Subotic and Chamakh or Jones upfront…

  654. B.B.K. says:

so what you predicting tomorrow then a ??????? scoreline

  655. Samir says:

    I’m thinking a 3-1 or 3-0 to us….

  656. B.B.K. says:

there has always got to be a 1-2-3 at the end of our scorelines as we don’t do clean sheets, there not important according to some

  657. ritesh says:

    Suga

I would dispatch Cesc also n make some good money.. Cesc plays like a world beater when the team is playing well. Else u dont see our ..Captain

  658. ritesh says:

    2-1… no 3-2

  659. B.B.K. says:

    im going 4-4

  660. leon says:

alot people think that delinson and diaby have let the team and wenger down they should on bench learning from top class players its real simple if we are going win anything you top class players and this team does not have enough that.players like delinson diaby ramsey song evon nasri are very good upcomming players but not yet in there prime.if you look at chelsea and manu they have at least 3-4 may be leaders ine squad this nothing new this has been a gleraing out problem for past 3-4 years which there clear lack experienced players in the team and until this is addressed nothing will change

  661. SUGA3 says:

    ritesh,

I guess Cesc can’t ‘spread his wings’ when playing with Denilson or Diaby, plus, I think captaincy is too much of a burden for him…

  662. SUGA3 says:

    B.B.K.

no fucking way these shitkickers will score 4…

  663. RayGooner says:

Chelsea has spent loads of cash in signing players and they have made it work good, Spurs has spent a load of money too, but they still suck…

My point is, even if you spend big, you need luck to succeed…(or at least some ability to get the right players…)

Chelsea has had the big money for 6-7 years now, and has had great managers too, that combined has made them what they are now…

Arsenal hasn’t had that kind of money in the last 6-7 years cause of the new stadium, but we do have a great manager (yes, i really think he still is great), and we’ve not done that bad (just no titles since 2005)…

I realize (and so does Wenger) that if we don’t win any titles this season he has failed with this squad, and i have no doubt in my mind that he will admit that come the end of this season (if we don’t win anything) and he will make some big changes until next season…maybe even resign (but i don’t think he will do that)…

Let’s look at what he’s done so far…

He came in 1996 and it took him 2 seasons to get his first “Title-winning Team” in 1998 with the likes of Vieira, Overmars, Petit & Anelka…

He then started to build his next Team that won the Double in 2002, the F.A Cup in 2003, the Unbeaten League Title in 2004 & the F.A. Cup in 2005 with the likes of Henry, Pirès, Campbell, Ljungberg, Lauren & Touré…

Then he started building a new team with Fábregas as the center piece, he bought in the likes of van Persie, Rosický, Clichy, Nasri, Adebayor, Arshavin & Eduardo…

So, he succeeded with his first 2 teams and not with this one (yet)…
In 2006 we came 4th in the league and reached the final of the CL (not too bad for a season with loads of injuries)
In 2007 we came 4th in the league again and was knocked out in the last 16 stage of the CL, this was, (apart from the Carling Cup Final) a poor season i’ll admit…
In 2008 we came 3rd in the league (and only 4 points behind the winners (and we went out in the QF of the CL against Liverpool (unfairly if you ask me) but still, an improvement on every level, i still believe we would have won the League hadn’t it been for that horrific injury to Eduardo…
In 2009 we dropped to the 4th spot in the league again but went through to the Semi-final in the CL, overall a slight step back but with Arshavin coming in, it looked promesing for the future…
And this season, we started very well and it was almost flowing, then came Man United away, we gave them 3 points after dominating the game (hell we even scored their winning goal…
But we came back (after another minor setback at City) and we were rolling again…then came the van Persie injury…
If Wenger can buy a striker to fill the gap of van Persie then maybe we’re not out of this season yet, remember that the CL knockout stages isn’t until late february so a new striker could be well nursed in to the team by then…
Concerning the league, we must find our game starting tomorrow, hell i’ll even go for Diaby up front if he’s back tomorrow, just to bring some power up front…

Wenger made this club great, and he will make it even greater…

  664. Dutchman says:

I hate wenger, dzeko to expensive. Fuck off!!!!

  665. Dutchman says:

OK wnger, so it will not be chamakh, dzeko, balotelli, huntelaar. Who are you going to buy????? Cole??? WTF WENGER!!!! FUCK OFF!!! You have the money from the sales from last summer, you hae new money in this first season half, and you have making money for 5 years now. Buy, you facking stubborn facker!!

  666. SUGA3 says:

Chelsea has spent loads of cash in signing players and they have made it work good, Spurs has spent a load of money too, but they still suck…
    ———————————–
the spuds cant suck too much ! 3rd on the table wasnt just luck … not in december !
    lets face it …
you can spend all the money you want but without a good manager to back them , yes they can still play crap .. SURE !

but the manc’s kicked our asses 2 out of 2 outings ..
so something must be said of man shittys increase in quality from spending .

and the spurs are ahead of us on the table currently so… spending in short, equals success!

the only key thing to consider when spending money is hoping you have the right manager to bring out the best in them all …

if spurs had a wenger or a red nose in charge they would probably be doing even better still.

wenger really needs to tighten up his line up asap ! i just cant wait to see what bollocks wenger feeds the fans to make you all get zanac’ed up again …

id make the most of this time , to try and implement change by showing dis-satisfaction with the management … we all need to get on the band wagon on this one ,and demand a new keeper ! striker, and a couple of backup players who are primed to be future DM’s – CD’s

the only way your going to lift the profile of this club is to lift the standard of player ..
    been saying for ages ….

    ———————————–
and theres more current proof of MONEY working than wengers PROJECT YOUTH working !…
    (over 6 years)

so i think the proof is in the pudding
    SPEND !

for the past 6 years we as a football club have scrambled to hold onto 4th spot ..
the 6 years prior under wenger we were never out of the top 2 and won EPL titles and silverware galore ..

which 6 year stint would you prefer ?

  671. bk says:

3 defeats in a row? what the fuck! i didnt mind the team too much …but the bench

  672. ethangunner says:

    BK

    AGREED!

yes the worst part of the Carling cup finals was wengers bench ..

at least get 3 of the stars like cesc – AA23 and TV – gallas .. or alike as a plan B , eastmond was crap within 30 minutes putting cesc on to me at that point (and having him on the bench ALSO !) would signal some fight in wenger !

    appalling !

  673. ethangunner says:

Not only does it disrespect the Carling cup it hi-lights wenger knows his squad IS NOT big enough to compete on all fronts !

So is that what you call a
    TOP FLIGHT FOOTBALL CLUB ?

why be charged as such ?
the owners would rather take your money and give you fuck all … then most of you thank him !

    long live wenger / PHW ! :)

the way forward for the next 6 years to come !!!

lol Ray you genuinly believe that?! You reckon City will finish above us, and liverpool, and even utd?! if we don’t finish in the top 3 then i’ll never post on here again! If we fail to score 3 goals tomorrow then i’ll be worried, but there’s still no way in hell we won’t be top 4

I remember A saying,if we dont finish Champions/runner up he wouldnt post here. After two months,he will be saying that if we dont finish fourth,he wouldnt be posting here.

*note guys that i said “it could be the final table” of this season, i didn’t say it would be…

I still believe we can win it, i really do…

    But it will be difficult…

My prediction before the season was this:

    1. Arsenal
    2. Chelsea
    3. Man United
    4. Liverpool
    5. Man City
    6. Tottenham
    7. Aston Villa
    8. Everton
    9. West Ham
    10. Sunderland
    11. Fulham
    12. Blackburn
    13. Burnley
    14. Birmingham
    15. Wigan
    16. Bolton
    17. Stoke
    18. Hull
    19. Portsmouth
    20. Wolves

I still think this could be the table…

  686. NINA says:

Is it just a coincidence that the plethora of injuries started to accumulate just as Arsene Wenger began to ship out the strong, athletic players whith whom we had so much success and began to bring in the small, nimble kids with whom we’ve just suffered anxiety, depression and heart ache!!

  687. Lady p says:

I think senna is the perfect solution. He can replace song during acon. When he comes back, he can play alongside fab. He’s got an excellent shot, i think he could play in the champions league(not sure). Bad thing about him: he might find it hard to adapt to the premier league(doesn’t speak english and old). But hey you’ve got to take risks in life. He might also be quite expensive.

  688. [...] Mario Balotelli – He would always get into the first team under me. That was what Wenger said in the press, or that’s what they said he said. Is he that good? I honestly can only say I [...] [...]
