Mario Balotelli – He would always get into the first team under me.

by & filed under Uncategorized.

That was what Wenger said in the press, or that’s what they said he said. Is he that good? I honestly can only say I have seen him once, but what I have heard is he’s a cross between Ade-the-whore and Eto’o, from a sulky point of view, he’s also possibly from Ghana and that’s mean ACN problems and he’s still 19, and frankly we have a plethora of them (19 year olds) so for me it’s a no no. I say possibly, because he also possibly Italian!

Having said that, anyone considered world class would suit me, and there are a number of them that we could get. This crap about no one being available in January is so much shit, where do people get this from, even those that are cup tied put money first, I mean does Numbchucks actually think Bordeaux have a chance to win the ECL, course he doesn’t, he’d jump ship in a heartbeat, as would they all.

Blimey, come the summer transfer window the world cup will be on us, then they’ll be two excuses, the first will be from the player, I don’t want to go until my value doubles at the end of the world cup, then the second will be from the managers, his value has doubled since the world cup and I’m not paying that.

So what I’m saying is there is never a good or a bad time to buy a player. Maybe if our manager just concentrated on buying players when we needed them, we wouldn’t be in this creek, on a boat with no paddle and the smell of shit in the air.

Yesterday saw most blogs at the end of their ‘Arsene knows best tether’ some blogs called those blogs portents of doom, well I can’t fathom how those blogs can be happy to just muddle along with no prospect of winning or competing, they must be very content in life and have zip when it comes to ambition.

Me, I’m a winner, always have been, and when I can’t win I try my nuts off, the one thing I have never done in my entire life, is turn up for something knowing I can’t win, that’s what losers do, and what we turned up with against shitty showed the level of our ambition and how much we don’t care about winning.

If someone can convince me that bringing in a bunch of kids to get humiliated by another team is good for them, I would be delighted to hear how, if we want to see how good these kids are and how they react to situations, play them in the reserves, or give them some time in the first team, if they aren’t good enough for that, they shouldn’t be playing. And tell me why we bother playing in a reserve league if we learn more from the annual 3 match run in the Carling cup.

A few games in the Carling cup shows absolutely nothing, save we can beat the West Brom’s with our youth team but get smashed by Man shitty, well that will do them the power of good won’t it, they’ll have their heads in the air for months.

I wonder if the away fans will get their money back, they must have whistled all the way back home at the manner of our defeat, I expect they were thrilled to spend their money that way.

Any blog out there that sees no wrong with what’s happening at our club, cannot have any real winners commenting on them, they can’t have because winners want to win, not blow smoke up the arses of people that won’t listen.

Why settle for a Cortina when you can have an Aston, why settle for a flat when you can have a mansion, why settle for  4th place when you can win the league, see where I’m going with this?

The only thing that can get our season back on track is if the powers that be address the real issues, fix the defence by buying what we need, fix the midfield by buying and enforcer and fix the forward line by buying a proven goalscorer.

Don’t put this down to bad luck because we always get injuries, don’t put this on Robin because a few weeks ago we had 15 different goal scorers, the problem is the depth of quality in the squad, we have too many ordinary players on obscenely big contracts.

Constantly standing by the management doesn’t make you a better Arsenal fan, it makes you a whipping boy, challenging opinion is healthy, if we didn’t do that, we would still be living in caves, Arsenal football club was formed in 1886, not 1996, some of those followers would do well to remember that, two things in life are sure, the sun will come up in the morning and Arsenal football club will still be around long after Arsene isn’t.

Finally the handshake that wasn’t, that was just plain daft, it just made the manager look like a bad loser, if Hughes called him names, so what, £6 million a year should make that pain go away, it doesn’t create a siege mentality it just sets us up to get the piss taken out of us by other fans for having a petulant manager.

I had a day of it yesterday and I had no defence. Thanks boss.

January is still a month away, we have to work with what we have, tomorrow should be a breeze because it’s Stoke, if we can’t beat them at home then we are in more trouble than I thought, I expect a big win and will talk more about that tomorrow, I needed to get this week out of my system first.

Have a great day Grovers, it’s time to move on!

Cheers zeus, I’m well & truely over Wender Ways. Yet are Gooners who are not secure enough to want change coz they paint him as The Only One. Like some Cubans with Castro, or Zimbabweans with Mugabe.

  2. RayGooner

There are too much talk about players that are either “Cup-tied” (for the CL) or playing in the ACN in January…

I’ve said it before, the only striker Wenger will buy is Loïc Remy from Nice!

He is 22 y.o., has played for the French National Team and he would be able to play in both the PL and the CL, therefor he is the best option, and Wenger knows this, and also he wouldn’t cost nearly as much as Chamakh, Balotelli or Dzeko!

I don’t want to tell you guys “I told you so” come January…(but i guess i will anyway…)

  3. zeus

    @ gnarleygeorge9

Spot on. All he does is lie lately and by lately I mean the last few years. after the debacle at the emirates vs Man utd in the CL he spewed his platitudes of us needing experience and then he went and only spent on a 23 year old.
He is so unwilling to even consider the fact that some of his proteges may in fact turn out just like Senderos. The arrogance of this once great man in mind-boggling.

  4. Stu

There may be light at the end of the tunnel. Remember how last summer he said if he failed to win something this season there was likely to be a massive overhaul of the squad. Thats something to look forward to….i just hope he wasnt lying about that too.

  5. A

We’ve got the title to look forward to Stu! 6-1 win against Stoke tomorrow, City give Chelsea a beating, no way an overhaul is going to be necessary

  6. SUGA3

    zeus,

Senderos is a great player for Switzerland and has been grossly mismanaged by AW – so what if he got stuffed by Drogba, so did TV on Sunday…

  7. ritesh

    there nothing wrong wid wender…
he just needs someone to tell him to hire a guy like viera and put him captain again, a guy to tell him to buy some experienced players, and spend some money by taking an uzbek investor…

whats the use of having a nice investor like silent stan and getting fucked up in may…let Usmanov on board and then we will see how FA n media treat us. he will fuck them with his panel of lawyers like chelsea everytime they look for it

    Cheers to Usmanov!! alelouia

  8. SUGA3

    A,

if you think we will beat Stoke 6-1, then you are delusional…

they’re quite well organised and Pulis is no mug…

  9. ritesh

massive overhaul…the junior teams in Africa and latin america are on alert..

Wenger is changing policy by pursuing players age 18 at least now.

  10. A

vieira who isn’t good enough to play for us anymore, and a piece of shit as owner?! No thanks!!

Usmanov is already too close to our club

  11. A

SUGA3 we’ll see won’t we. If we don’t beat them by 3 goals i’m going to start to be very worried about the effect vp’s injury has had on our attacking capabilities

  12. A

I’ve got money on it Stu! The least goals we’ve scored at home apart from Chelsea, which is a special case is 3 goals, and we’ve been very complacent at times, the players will be REALLY up for it tomorrow. Stoke havn’t got AS bad an away record this season as they did last season, but they’ve played Blackburn, Hull, Bolton, and Birmingham! Misleading because of the fixtures they’ve had.

  13. ritesh

viera not good for us…erm, u prefer denilson/song/diaby

think viera was a captain…a guy like TA who inspired the team..i miss him…and yea…he put his boot in

  14. A

Stu there has only been one game at home this season where we’ve not won by at least 3 goals, if we don’t do at the very least that when we’re really up for it then i’m gonna be deeming us to be in alot of trouble

  15. Stu

Vieira is too old now to do what he did for us when he was here. He would be embarrassed by any player with pace and would have to foul everyone not to be made to look washed up…imo.

  16. A

yeah ritesh, vieira was awesome in his day, but he’s well past it, and denilson, song, and diaby are all much better now! Veiria would be a good leader, but he’d be humiliated playing wise in the prem!

  17. zeus

6-1? In mase you missed it, we have failed to score in our last 3 games I think. I would love to know where those 6 goals are going to come from.

  18. Stu

Yeah A and that game we lost by 3 without VP. Our players arent ever “up for it”.

Its more likely that they will be shitting themselves against another physical team and struggle to win. Obviously tho im hoping for an emphatic victory…i could use a pick me up after a depressing 2 weeks.

  19. SUGA3

    A,

what you conveniently miss out in your 3 goal difference per game mantra is that we played nobodies and whenever we played a proper team, we have lost…

with some presence, I would go for a high scoring win, without it we’ll find it tough…

  20. A

zeus only one of those games was home, and against chelsea, which is a VERY special case.

At home we’re a completely different team to away

At home the least goals we’ve scored (apart from the special case) is 3 goals, and in some of those games we could’ve taken teams to the cleaners but were complacent, that’s where i see the difference being now compared to the 3-1 against Birmingham, we’ll be really really up for it.

  21. SUGA3

    A,

don’t you dare mentioning Denilson & Diaby in the same sentence with Paddy, unless there is a ‘not fit to clean his boots’ stuck in somewhere

  22. A

SUGA3 Stoke are a nobody! Last season they had one of the worst away records ever in the prem, and this season they’ve done a bit better, because they’ve had very very easy games.

You honestly saying Stoke at home is tougher than Spurs, Blackburn, Wigan?! And in fact any other team in the prem?!

  23. Stu

This season we have failed every major test…regardless of being home or away a loss is always a loss.

We shouldnt have lost to City, Sunderland, chelsea or united. Drawing against the big teams is fine but we lost comfortably and without putting up a fight.

SUGA3 we’ll see won’t we. If we don’t beat them by 3 goals i’m going to start to be very worried about the effect vp’s injury has had on our attacking capabilities.have the last 2 games not given you an idea of how things are going to go

  25. SUGA3

A, come on, we have LOST to them last season, away or not – I just don’t buy this home and away crap, btw – if it gets to them so much, they’re unprofessional, end of…

  26. A

lol bullshit stats SUGA3, and a different team, because of one player missing?!

At home we piss all over teams, and have done every team except for chelsea, and will do tomorrow! If we don’t we’re in ALOT of trouble.

Stu no I said we were never complacent until the game is won, at 3-0 a game is won, so rather than really go for the jugular and score another three we concede one, not that it makes any difference points wise, so not a big deal for me, but tomorrow we won’t be because of what has gone previously, so I expect us to really take them to pieces and not get complacent

  27. RayGooner

If you add the amount that each player in the Premier League Teams cost when they were bought, this is how much each team has spent…

    1. Chelsea – £198,750,000
    2. Man City – £192,070,000
    3. Tottenham – £162,400,000
    4. Man United – £152,850,000
    5. Liverpool – £129,800,000
    6. Arsenal – £90,650,000
    7. Aston Villa – £80,050,000
    8. Sunderland – £65,100,000
    9. West Ham – £51,320,000
    10. Birmingham – £41,350,000
    11. Everton – £39,300,000
    12. Fulham – £38,150,000
    13. Stoke – £35,725,000
    14. Blackburn – £33,000,000
    15. Bolton – £30,650,000
    16. Wigan – £22,500,000
    17. Hull – £19,820,000
    18. Portsmouth – £19,600,000
    19. Wolves – £18,125,000
    20. Burnley – £6,250,000

(Note that these are only the “known” transfer fees of each club, some transfers are not displayed for the public, sort of speak)…

  28. A

SUGA there is a MASSIVE difference between home and away for every single team, not just us, and it isn’t made up!

Last season Stoke had a home record in the top half of the league, and the worst away record by an absolute mile, it makes a big big difference, especially for stoke, who have long grass, and move the advertising boards for delap, have a smaller pitch so it makes everything more compact etc. Everything makes a difference at the top level, as everything shows

  29. SUGA3

    A,

you clearly have no PRACTICAL idea about football, do you?

the very moment we lost RvP I said this is exactly what was going to happen: no goals + return of crab football, more to come…

sure, we can all wank over Denilson’s (just an example) completed passed, possession and all that, personally I just don’t give a fuck – the only statistic that interests me is:

Arsenal (a lot) – Opposition (nil)

  30. ritesh

what r we supposed to read there ray…why dont u publish the bank balances too..it means we r the richest team in terms of bank balances if u publish them

Also publish the salaries per team..

  31. SUGA3

    A,

one way or another, we get spanked by big teams home and away on the regular basis and we cock up away against teams that should be bricking themselves in their HOME dressing rooms – Wenger gave us the fear factor, then fucked it up…

  32. A

lol no idea at all SUGA, we’ll see tomorrow. All stats are relevant, none tell the whole story, though home/away isn’t an analytical stat as such, it’s just pretty much a fact!

The most important “stat” is goals for and against. That comes as a result of loads and loads of other different things that can be analysed by a combination of loads of other stats, both individually and collectively

  33. A

SUGA3 stoke aren’t a big team, who’s talking about big teams?! There’s only been one game at home against non-big teams where we havn’t won by at least 3 goals, and that was a walk in the park that could’ve been double the scoreline if we weren’t so complacent. At home we don’t cock up, and tomorrow we’re at home.

  34. ritesh

now wenger gives us nice things..we r nice passing team with nice bank balance
nice stadium, nice new owner…its such a nice world
we even qualify for CL every year

  35. SUGA3

    A,

as far as I am concerned, there should be a stat on how many times a player needed a kick up his arse to apply himself

  36. RayGooner

the thing to read in to about that list is it looks like it could really be the final table of this season…
with the exception of Spurs, they won’t finish 3rd, if they do, i’ll kill myself…

  37. SUGA3

there is just too much nervousness in the squad atm, there is no clear leader (a TA6/PV4 like figure) who would calm them down and pull it all together…

  38. A

lol Ray you genuinly believe that?! You reckon City will finish above us, and liverpool, and even utd?! if we don’t finish in the top 3 then i’ll never post on here again! If we fail to score 3 goals tomorrow then i’ll be worried, but there’s still no way in hell we won’t be top 4

  39. zeus

    A,
You forget that during our early games we had Robin playing and confidence was sky high. This team has yet to show that they have quick ‘bounce-back-ability’. This slip could easily turn into a major slide, we’ve seen that happen before.

  40. A

SUGA3 I’m not sure it would, no one player could change things, it’s the mentality as a whole, collectively that needs to change, as well as individually of every other player. An example to follow and leader would be nice, but imo wouldn’t actually make much difference. I don’t see any easy solution for the problems in the big games, it’s gonna take time before we can win them again, which is why I see our only real chance of success being in the league, where it doesn’t matter so much

  41. B.B.K.

1st and 2nd spot are going to be fought out between united and chelsea then there will be a real scramble for 3rd i think that spot is open for anyone that will be the most consistent, any one of arsenal, liverpool, spurs, man city and villa can end up there,it will be the most open spot to finish in years…

  42. A

zeus in our early games there was clamouring on here for eduardo to play centrally, because vp missed too many chances, and wasn’t a central striker etc! VP is a very good player, but not the be all and end all, cesc, arshavin, nasri, rosicky will still create plenty of chances

  43. ritesh

    yes, major slide possibility..

we peaked now, we r in free fall… we have to wait for a stricker to come in January to save us…ohno, he will be injured in feb cause he comes from france and is not used to the physicality and weather here..

argh, those rubbish players who just kick us..and that rain.. we should have covered stadiums with temperature control facilities

  44. A

BBK i don’t see there being any way Utd will fight for the title. It’ll be Chelsea up there, with us challenging if we still score loads of goals against the smaller teams, otherwise we’ll be challenging for 2nd/3rd with Utd, and Liverpool/City/Spurs for 4th, but probably Liverpool comfortablyish in the end

  45. SUGA3

    A,

I know a solution: sell a few underperforming players (financial and motivational gain), buy 3 monsters (CF, DM, CB), put Fabianski in goal (he would do with a team that has a spine in front of him)…

  46. ritesh

sure they will A…but we wont wing the league again…coz some shit did not buy a couple of players
coz no money…coz no uzbek…only a guy across the pond …who they arsenalised ;-)

  47. B.B.K.

a you need to accept that united will be up there, because even though they are shi by there standards, they are still better then us,we won’t be finishing 3rd at the rate we are going

  48. ritesh

I vote for that Suga…Sell Cesc, Denilson, Walcott, Nasri…BUY monsters…BUY a guy like YAYA TOURE, NIANG, Chamack..then we talk championship

  49. A

suga3 i expect fabianski to start tomorrow, and do very well

bbk utd won’t be up there, whether or not they’re better than us is debatable, but they’re much worse than chelsea, and unless they make very good signings in jan they won’t get near chelsea

  50. ritesh

so chelsea all the way …. cool..we will battle with who??? utd are no good for Chelsea but too good for us..

liverpool not good enough to battle us…the tiny Totts?

  51. B.B.K.

united are better then us because they can go away to difficult places and still get a result,we can’t.United will show that tomorrow,if they go into a 2 goal lead they will certainly not surrender it like we did.

  52. SUGA3

    ritesh,

I think Denilson and Diaby can go, as they don’t bring anything to the table that cannot be replaced…

Yaya would be great, but again we would be fucked every 2 years during ACN, would add Sakho + Subotic and Chamakh or Jones upfront…

  53. B.B.K.

there has always got to be a 1-2-3 at the end of our scorelines as we don’t do clean sheets, there not important according to some

  54. ritesh

    Suga

I would dispatch Cesc also n make some good money.. Cesc plays like a world beater when the team is playing well. Else u dont see our ..Captain

  55. leon

alot people think that delinson and diaby have let the team and wenger down they should on bench learning from top class players its real simple if we are going win anything you top class players and this team does not have enough that.players like delinson diaby ramsey song evon nasri are very good upcomming players but not yet in there prime.if you look at chelsea and manu they have at least 3-4 may be leaders ine squad this nothing new this has been a gleraing out problem for past 3-4 years which there clear lack experienced players in the team and until this is addressed nothing will change

  56. SUGA3

    ritesh,

I guess Cesc can’t ‘spread his wings’ when playing with Denilson or Diaby, plus, I think captaincy is too much of a burden for him…

  57. RayGooner

Chelsea has spent loads of cash in signing players and they have made it work good, Spurs has spent a load of money too, but they still suck…

My point is, even if you spend big, you need luck to succeed…(or at least some ability to get the right players…)

Chelsea has had the big money for 6-7 years now, and has had great managers too, that combined has made them what they are now…

Arsenal hasn’t had that kind of money in the last 6-7 years cause of the new stadium, but we do have a great manager (yes, i really think he still is great), and we’ve not done that bad (just no titles since 2005)…

I realize (and so does Wenger) that if we don’t win any titles this season he has failed with this squad, and i have no doubt in my mind that he will admit that come the end of this season (if we don’t win anything) and he will make some big changes until next season…maybe even resign (but i don’t think he will do that)…

Let’s look at what he’s done so far…

He came in 1996 and it took him 2 seasons to get his first “Title-winning Team” in 1998 with the likes of Vieira, Overmars, Petit & Anelka…

He then started to build his next Team that won the Double in 2002, the F.A Cup in 2003, the Unbeaten League Title in 2004 & the F.A. Cup in 2005 with the likes of Henry, Pirès, Campbell, Ljungberg, Lauren & Touré…

Then he started building a new team with Fábregas as the center piece, he bought in the likes of van Persie, Rosický, Clichy, Nasri, Adebayor, Arshavin & Eduardo…

So, he succeeded with his first 2 teams and not with this one (yet)…
In 2006 we came 4th in the league and reached the final of the CL (not too bad for a season with loads of injuries)
In 2007 we came 4th in the league again and was knocked out in the last 16 stage of the CL, this was, (apart from the Carling Cup Final) a poor season i’ll admit…
In 2008 we came 3rd in the league (and only 4 points behind the winners (and we went out in the QF of the CL against Liverpool (unfairly if you ask me) but still, an improvement on every level, i still believe we would have won the League hadn’t it been for that horrific injury to Eduardo…
In 2009 we dropped to the 4th spot in the league again but went through to the Semi-final in the CL, overall a slight step back but with Arshavin coming in, it looked promesing for the future…
And this season, we started very well and it was almost flowing, then came Man United away, we gave them 3 points after dominating the game (hell we even scored their winning goal…
But we came back (after another minor setback at City) and we were rolling again…then came the van Persie injury…
If Wenger can buy a striker to fill the gap of van Persie then maybe we’re not out of this season yet, remember that the CL knockout stages isn’t until late february so a new striker could be well nursed in to the team by then…
Concerning the league, we must find our game starting tomorrow, hell i’ll even go for Diaby up front if he’s back tomorrow, just to bring some power up front…

Wenger made this club great, and he will make it even greater…

  58. Dutchman

OK wnger, so it will not be chamakh, dzeko, balotelli, huntelaar. Who are you going to buy????? Cole??? WTF WENGER!!!! FUCK OFF!!! You have the money from the sales from last summer, you hae new money in this first season half, and you have making money for 5 years now. Buy, you facking stubborn facker!!

  59. leon

ray i can undetsand your point but you cant tell me that wenger has not has 15 mill on one experienced midfielder and he done gradualy 1 player in jan another player in the summer he has done great job in the past but the harch cold truth is its about winning titles and wenger has not done that in almost 5 years he has been given alot more time support than most and now there no excuses he the funds now at least 40-50 wenger has talked and talked now its time to back up with words with action

    ———————————–
the spuds cant suck too much ! 3rd on the table wasnt just luck … not in december !
    lets face it …
you can spend all the money you want but without a good manager to back them , yes they can still play crap .. SURE !

but the manc’s kicked our asses 2 out of 2 outings ..
so something must be said of man shittys increase in quality from spending .

and the spurs are ahead of us on the table currently so… spending in short, equals success!

the only key thing to consider when spending money is hoping you have the right manager to bring out the best in them all …

if spurs had a wenger or a red nose in charge they would probably be doing even better still.

wenger really needs to tighten up his line up asap ! i just cant wait to see what bollocks wenger feeds the fans to make you all get zanac’ed up again …

id make the most of this time , to try and implement change by showing dis-satisfaction with the management … we all need to get on the band wagon on this one ,and demand a new keeper ! striker, and a couple of backup players who are primed to be future DM’s – CD’s

the only way your going to lift the profile of this club is to lift the standard of player ..
    been saying for ages ….

  61. ethangunner

and the spurs are ahead of us on the table currently so… spending in short, equals success!
    ———————————–
and theres more current proof of MONEY working than wengers PROJECT YOUTH working !…
    (over 6 years)

so i think the proof is in the pudding
    SPEND !

for the past 6 years we as a football club have scrambled to hold onto 4th spot ..
the 6 years prior under wenger we were never out of the top 2 and won EPL titles and silverware galore ..

which 6 year stint would you prefer ?

  62. ethangunner

    BK

    AGREED!

yes the worst part of the Carling cup finals was wengers bench ..

at least get 3 of the stars like cesc – AA23 and TV – gallas .. or alike as a plan B , eastmond was crap within 30 minutes putting cesc on to me at that point (and having him on the bench ALSO !) would signal some fight in wenger !

    A says
lol Ray you genuinly believe that?! You reckon City will finish above us, and liverpool, and even utd?! if we don’t finish in the top 3 then i’ll never post on here again! If we fail to score 3 goals tomorrow then i’ll be worried, but there’s still no way in hell we won’t be top 4

I remember A saying,if we dont finish Champions/runner up he wouldnt post here. After two months,he will be saying that if we dont finish fourth,he wouldnt be posting here.

*note guys that i said “it could be the final table” of this season, i didn’t say it would be…

I still believe we can win it, i really do…

    But it will be difficult…

My prediction before the season was this:

    1. Arsenal
    2. Chelsea
    3. Man United
    4. Liverpool
    5. Man City
    6. Tottenham
    7. Aston Villa
    8. Everton
    9. West Ham
    10. Sunderland
    11. Fulham
    12. Blackburn
    13. Burnley
    14. Birmingham
    15. Wigan
    16. Bolton
    17. Stoke
    18. Hull
    19. Portsmouth
    20. Wolves

I still think this could be the table…

Is it just a coincidence that the plethora of injuries started to accumulate just as Arsene Wenger began to ship out the strong, athletic players whith whom we had so much success and began to bring in the small, nimble kids with whom we’ve just suffered anxiety, depression and heart ache!!

I think senna is the perfect solution. He can replace song during acon. When he comes back, he can play alongside fab. He’s got an excellent shot, i think he could play in the champions league(not sure). Bad thing about him: he might find it hard to adapt to the premier league(doesn’t speak english and old). But hey you’ve got to take risks in life. He might also be quite expensive.
