Fear not, we are about to make a big signing!

Yes you heard right we are about to sign QPR wonderkid Raheem Sterling, he’s 14 years old but if you live that long it’s great news. I remember when Henri Lansbury was captain of the England under 17′s, they said he was the heartbeat of the team, now we are debating whether or not to renew his contract, I guess we would if he wasn’t English, oops!

The press say we have made enquiries about horse face from Madrid, hmmmm, not a bad move I have to say, as cover, though I would still prefer Numbchucks, and Dennis is after a coaching role in England, Arsene, I think Pat is after retiring, could be a great move, think about it and call me if you want a chat.

Drogba and Fat Frank are back for the game on Sunday but so will William Gallas be, so I have no fear, I really think we’ll beat them, why? Because I think we are by far the better team.

Now we need to clear up the Song issue, let me tell you all that I don’t have a problem with him, we spend far too long debating him  and we ought to move on, he’s in the team, he’s first choice and I fully support him, so let’s forget about it and talk about the real issues.

Denilson made a lively start by scoring his second goal of the season, yes his second goal of the season, we had a number of people on yesterday correcting Pedro on him scoring a goal, Pedro said it was his first, but he forgot his pearler against Everton, you know what, it’s not an offence, sometimes we get it wrong, I apologise to all those that remembered the first goal, let’s hope it’s not his last. The goal I meant, not the mistake!

What was funny though was Wenger almost annoyed that he had a shot from distance, Standard Liege had two that hit the post, maybe we should do it a bit more, you never know we may score more if we do and we may even get the fans behind us and staying in their seats in anticipation.

We need to be at our best to beat the chavs, but we need to be at our best against anyone, including Sunderland, that’s what you have to do to win things, play each game like it counts, why? Because it does, every game between now and the end of the season needs to be played like a cup final, if there’s anything to be learned from the loss at the weekend, it’s that.

I read that the spuds are in for Micah Riichards, you know what? We should be in for him, he’s a gooner, he’s versatile and he’s what we need, yes he’s a party boy, but we can sort that out in a heartbeat, we need big strong players at the back and he could be perfect, don’t lets lose another good player to the spuds, who did we lose you ask, Niko Kranjcar, for me he would have been a good signing.

We need ready made players, signing another 14 year old is just bollocks, however good he is, I remember signing Pennant, look what happened there.

Sunday is a long way away, but I have to tell you, I’m feeling confident, I think they will come thinking they’re playing the team that lost to Sunderland, I’m thinking they’ll meet the team that beat Wolves.

The final word must go to Andre Arshavin, he got riid of Hiiddink says the press, well done son, now go to work on Ancelotti, but try and do it before Sunday.

Have a great day Grovers, not long now, if we win this one, we’ll be sending out a message. We’re going to win the league!

  9. Duke says:

Well done Sabeel, did you add the information that you are the 1st poster on Le Grove for like 2 month in a row now?

  10. Geoff says:

How did you guys do that, I just posted!

  11. rico says:

Geoff – I didn’t realise his senior moments were quite that bad ;) ;)

Off to have a read of the post

  12. Good Post Geoff,

U predicted very well earlier when lampard injury was reported…
Look now,Lampard, drogba & terry all these buggers r ready…lampard, terry etc missed the international like they can take a Casual-leave..
and at same time,we lose our players like MVP “RVP” to useless internationals…

  13. gooner-pak says:

arseblog says its Merida to miss city trip…sabeel

  14. Duke says:

gooner-pak, and who made arseblog the Queen of England?

Good post Geoff, we do get a free pack of Pampers thrown in with this kid though, so not all bad ;)

I remember the days when I was first on LG, before the Arthritis kicked in ;)

  17. rico says:

    How rude – Morning all

  18. Geoff says:

I was just thinking the same thing Rico! Really!

  19. gooner-pak says:

    i dont know duke

  20. rico says:

Wilshere is not back until December and Merida got sent off last night against Villa – both will miss the CC match :(

  21. Mr B

    all the best buddy,

    ————-

    Duke,

thanks for that info mate, didnt realise that…

I think its just pure LUCK

  22. rico says:

That was a long time ago Geoff, chickens and other things have to come first now :(

  23. gooner-pak..thanks for correcting..

  24. gooner-pak says:

    http://www.arsenal.com/match/report/0910/post/reserves/reserve-arsenal-1-2-aston-villa?tab=report

After a scuffle between players from both sides was calmed down, referee Amphlett produced a red card for Merida to the surprise of the Underhill crowd. They were further irritated when Delph was only booked.

  25. Geoff says:

Why is Wilshere out, he played against Villa last night?

  26. gooner-pak says:

    rico same source as above

Jack Wilshere was the star turn in the starting XI and he was joined in the team by Merida. Lukasz Fabianski started in goal, Thomas Cruise was in at left back while Jay Emmanuel-Thomas took his place in midfield after returning from a loan spell at Blackpool.

  27. Mr B says:

Sabeel I have commend the fact that ur on the site from 8 to 10 just to get the first post

  28. Mark C says:

Merida was sent off last night for the reserves.

I think this means he cant play in the CC.

Wilshire will be fine, and only played 65 mins or so.

I was surprised to see Drogba back last night, I thought he was out for a month with broken ribs – must have used some placenta on them !!!

Could be a high scoring game on the weekend, I hope TV proves his doubters wrong and controls Drogba – that is the key.

  29. Duke says:

Sabeel, don’t take my word for it, just feeling a little bullish this morning :D

Another question, if our kids are so good, why the fuck do we lose to Villa at home?

  30. thanks Mr B..

i am not full time on that,i timeslice my work to work on parallel tasks

  31. haha Duke,
I am emotionally Independent buddy,so dont worry, no issues :)

  32. rico says:

Yesterday it was reported Wilshere was out, bloody Sky Sports are usless, sorry guys ;)

  33. Duke

Villa also had stronger team, like delph, delfuenso, and Downing making his first villa appearence

  34. Duke says:

Shit. I just remembered the 5th of November.

  35. the Togo twat must be feeling even more bloody after his Public humiliation

  36. Duke says:

Sabeel, that’s the point, if our kids are all so good, they should be able to beat that bunch of bit time Villa players…

  37. finestcuts says:

I’m glad you’re optimistic about Chelsea Geoff, I was confident throughout our winning run, I know we can beat them but Chelsea are a whole different proposition.

As far as signing any new players is concerned, I don’t think it will happen and if it does, we need a new defender. If Gallas is out for Chelsea Silvestre or Senderos come in.

Wenger should try Eduardo + Vela up top in a 4-4-2, we’ve got the players for it.

    ——–Almunia——-

    Sagna——Gallas-Vermaelen—–Traore

    Rosicky——–Denilson————Nasri

    ————–Fabregas

    ———-Vela ———–Eduardo

  38. Duke,

u r right, talent wise they are superb, but probably the loss is down to the fact that they are afterall kids, and with kids we will get inconsistency..hope have a point??

  39. finest

hi buddy,no arshavin in ur line up dude

  40. Arsenal Tom says:

morning all, poor old man utd!!

shame to see merida sent off but he might be able to appeal it i think. i think we should take bergkamp on asap, he wants to work with just the strikers he’d make RVP even better and could turn bendtner into the force he could be

  41. but Tom, we r not using berkcamp services or some Defensive coaches experiences…is it down to Ego out there u Feel??

  42. finestcuts says:

No Sabeel, in that lineup, where would you put him? We need Denilson to be DM, Fabregas OM and 2 strikers. You could sub Arshavin with Vela, but I’d like to see both Eduardo and Vela up top since they are both strkers, Arshavin is more of an OM.

  43. Matthew Gunner says:

I agree that one about Lansbury. There are a host of other big name young players. I’m afraid that’s the only way Arsenal can afford to sign players. Problem if they don’t fulfill their wc potential it’s back to square one and time wasted.
Walcott is another name that springs to mind. Now with all the injureis, the jury is still out.Yes I know in AW we trust but sometimes when the plan aint working,it’s time for plan b.

  44. out there means..ego problems for wenger with berkcamp and defensive coach around

  45. rico says:

Me thinks Walcott will be played as CF against the chavs …

  46. finest

why dont we try combo of arshavin and vela up front…and song not there tooo…personally i prefer song over denilson for DM

  47. rico says:

Can’t believe there is a AFC Blog that says if Vela doesn’t take his chance the Adios…. How daft is that!

  48. Arsenal Tom says:

    sabeel… probably mate.

wenger admits he’s a control freak so i think thats kind of a problem for us… thing is though as he gets older he should bring in a bigger team to support him… bergkamp working with the strikers, keown doing the defensive side and wenger could oversee the whole thing and bring it all together

  49. rico says:

    the = then **

  50. finestcuts says:

Sabeel, that would mean the exclusion of Eduardo, and he is our no.1 striker at the moment.

I can see the pragmatism of Song, but I see Denilson as maybe the next Alonso, so not necessarily an out and out defensive midfielder, but a central player that contribute to both attack and defence.

  51. tonyadamsisgod says:

Rico – terrible that! I have more faith in vela becoming the legend we all want than I do Eduardo!

  52. Rupe says:

“signing another 14 year old is just bollocks, however good he is”

That one statement renders all your thoughts on Arsenal laughable.

There’s nothing wrong with signing promising youngsters. Examples likes Lansbury and Pennant are irrelevant: of course they won’t all make it. But on balance those that leave will still end up making us money, and a few will come through to the first team like Gibbs & Cesc. And when they do so, they’ll have Arsenal in their blood.

You can argue that we should sign more experienced players as well as youngsters, and I’d probably agree with you. To suggest that it’s one or the other is nonsense.

  53. Tom,

then,I get this picture that wenger will NOT be leaving soon, else WE would be seeing a smooth transfer of coaching role

  54. rico says:

taig, me too, thats the most stupid suggestion I have heard for ages, Vela is still learning and will be awesome. He needs a run in the side, we all know that but to suggest he is sold is crazy talk…

  55. finest,ur points are also fair…but most important factor is we play without fear….and at FAST PACE,and TAKE those chances we are going to create…

  56. SharkeySure says:

I agree Rupe. Barca signed Messi aged 12 or 13.

I also bet the Mancs wished they’d tapped up Rooney aged 14 instead of paying £30m for him 4-5 years later.

  57. Yes its good performing well for England but Lansbury has to do the same Arsenal as well especially in the reserves and take it up to 1st team games.

The hype on Sterling is way too much, good talent but i dont think he is anything we dont already have.

As for Richards, yes he is athletic and strong he has no game understanding what so ever, all he does is trying bully is way thru everything, you need abit more than that at the highest level

  58. Arsenal Tom says:

sabeel, your probably right, plus i think wenger’s looking at this team think if it can win something proper this year or the next then there’s not a huge amount of work to be done because players wont want to leave, i think his plan is once this team wins something it will dominate for 5-10 years because of its age, plus there allot less work to do with proven winners and experienced players than kids

  59. Geoff says:

Rupe, I’m sorry mate, you have completely lost me??? Are you on the same blog as I am, or are you reading something else?

  60. the Most IMP thing for us to win against chavs is Play at Fast Pace…make those OLD chavs players run out of there breath, till we win the match

  61. Tom

reading what u just wrote,Just reminds us ALL,that HOW BIG this Season is…This Season is Really a DO or DIE season for us…

  62. gazzap says:

I am sure Eddie and ARsh will start against the chavs and then one of Vela or Theo to play. Not sure who I would choose from that pair. maybe Vela would edge it.

midfield seems likely to be den, song and Cesc.

  63. charybdis1966 says:

Morning all, nice to have a larf at the manks last night and I had a nice volley of four letter words aimed at ole 65% proof nose on Le Grove last night after the manks home defeat at the hands of mighty Beshit-kas.
Another gutsy, defiant post pre-Chav match from Geoffers – I am liking it !

  64. wardo says:

good post Geoff. I agree with most of it…..I also think we missed a trick in not signing defoe. I would like us to sign Micah.

Also, Rup has copied and pasted a quote from your blog so I would say he is reading the same blog as you :D

I think signing promising youngsters is a good thing as long as you also take the opportunity to sign senior ready made players as well……i.e yes sign the 14 year old QPR player and also sign Micah. Cant fcuking hurt can it Arsenal !!

  65. wardo says:

I blogged a few days ago that Lamps would be fit to play against us on Sunday.

Its typical of Chavski to lie bout his injury and make it sound much worse than it is. They knew he would make it all along……

  66. Geoff says:

Wardo, what post, not todays, unless I’m missing something?

  67. Duke says:

Well I will explain to everyone why signing a 14 year old is bollox in the eyes of some of our supporters.

Please don’t quote Messi and Cesc and all that, yes by all means buy 14 year olds, buy 12 year olds, fuck buy kids before they are born like Atletico did with Aguero’s and Dieogo’s daughters son.

But while you do that, by some established players also, and don’t say I don’t want to kill the kids, if the kids are good enough, they should battle hard and win the starting place.
Arsenal don’t do that, that is why you will hear comments like signing a 14 year old is bollox. Hope I have clarified this for you…

  68. wardo says:

Geoff, towards the end of today’s blog you wrote “signing another 14 year old is just bollocks, however good he is”

It is this part that Rupe is questioning. You did write that I just re read the post.

I am not backing Rupe up just pointing out what part of the post he is bringing into question.

  69. b says:

AS most other arsenal fans i dont care how, i just want to win win win. If that means to buy every single god damn expensive player out there then so be it! i want to win, wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin. Is that not why we are supporting arsenal? Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin!

  70. ed atom says:

What is it with Arsenal and injuries? I mean, check this out…for the past few years, it seems we have been picking up injuries every 4th or 5th game, and a very serious injury every 10th game and a leg break every 15th.

In the past we have had leg breaks or some kind of bone fracture to Diaby, Clichy, Eduardo, Gibbs, Walcott and Nasri. Why does it happen to Arsenal more than any other top four team in the premiership?

  71. Geoff says:

It wasn’t that, that needed explaining, it was the bloke who said I said it in the post, I didn’t.

I may have thought it, but I didn’t say it. I just wondered what he was reading.

  72. wardo says:

** it the bit where you said you remembered us signing Pennant and look what happened there.

I understanding your point tho…….how many of the youngsters actually come through ?? I think there needs to be a balance between under 16 signings and ready made signings.

  73. Geoff says:

Wardo, you’re right, I just read my own post again, so I wasn’t just thinking it then!

  74. wardo says:

Geoff, who gives a shit anyway…….Arsenal vs Chavski is really playing on my mind.

I so hope we beat them. I honestly think Drogba will be diving for his life in the pen area on Sunday

  75. Mark C says:

On Vela – I kind of agree with ANR.

The point they are making is not just abut Vela but any young player.

If they get a run in the side, 4 or 5 in a row, and dont make an impact, dont improve, dont show signs of class then why do we need then.

Young players may excel in U16, U18 and even reserves, but the players we are after, should be able to make an impact against Chelsea in the EPL, otherwise why do we have them?

I personally think Vela will make it, he has shown some real class in the Carling Cup, but he needs to go to the next level for Arsenal to prove his worth.

  76. Geoff says:

Mark we have 3 marmites in the team that have had years of having chances, now they are improving and getting man of the match status by some (not me) so that logic says that we would have to give Vela 3 years of chances.

We won’t though, Wenger only does that with his favourites.

  77. rico says:

Geoff – Vela will be a favourite, he says he is the reason he didn’t replace Ade – now all AW has to do is keep playing him and watch him fly :P

  78. goonermichael says:

That’s why they’re marmites Geoff some love them some hate them. Funniest coment after the Sunderland game was Jaguar saying he couldn’t really blame one player for the loss. Only because his marmite Diaby wasn’t playing

  79. ed atom says:

And another thing….how comes when Man United and Liverpool players dive to win penalties it never seems to affect them going forward…..by contrast, Arsenal have been denied at least three or four stone wall penalties since the Eduardo incident, and yet I do not see Arsene Wenger screaming blue murder at the UEFA and FA authorities.

I know one thing for sure…if this was happening at Manchester, old red nose would use every avenue including Talksport, Skysports, The Sun (to name a few)to restore that previlege, where as Arsene Wenger will be his usual diplomatic self and shrug it off when he meets the press. Sort it out Arsene!!!

  80. RockyPires says:

Morning guys. Typical Chelski eh without Lumpard and Drogbreathe back but hey lets beat them again with both in the side and show how good we can be.
    Team I would start woulfd be;
    ___________Al
    SAgna__Gallas__Verm__Sly
    ___Cesc__Song__Deni
    __Nasri___Vela__AA23

Why I went for Vela was to put Chelski on the back foot anf introduce EDS if you have to but we have more mobility with AA,Nas and Vela and that will attack their dodgy defence in form of Alex and Belletti and well as pinning back Mr.CherylCole and Terry.

I would start NAsri over Rosicky as he is more match fit and slots into the offence position better, on a whole a fit Rosicky is a better player but I would go with Nas for this game. Theo would be great to spring form the bench also.
I just hope Gallas is fit.

  81. insidealbania says:

    Morning Grovers,
I like the confidence in todays post, and I think our team is more than capable of beating the chavs.
If Bergkamp wants to come to the ENgland then there is only one place for him, and thats Arsenal. It would be insane if Arsene did not snap him up.

  82. dennisdamenace says:

    Morning Bumholes!

  83. Arse&Nose says:

Lansbury is a party boy, his attitude is the only reason Arsenal are considering not to extend his contract. It is not because he is English.

On RVN coming to arsenal, I would rather eat the shit-shoe than see him here.

  84. Mark C says:

Geoff – On the marmites, Wenger must see something in games that says Song and Diaby will make it.

I think everyone can see positive things with Diaby, but the downside is he gets injured too much, and he gives the ball away at times in bad places.

  85. SharkeySure says:

    Duke…you’ve not clarified anything.

Whether we sign experienced players or not, we shold still sign young players for the future.

Its not really a case of one or the other.

Ps. Why shouldn’t we mention Cesc, Gibbs or Messi..?? Mention them all if you like… Sidwell, Pennant, Bentley, even Randall

The academy seems to be paying for itself, with sales and sell on clauses.

  86. well reportedly we are planning to SELL Gilbert…
Hmm…wonder how much he would fetch

  87. insidealbania says:

    TAIG, are you around?

Did you read about the 5 clubs named in the UEFA investigation? 2 are from Albania, no surprise there.

  88. RockyPires says:

as regards the bone fractures etc suffered by our players I think AW should order them to drink more milk.

I hope Verm hit the ball (as hard as he did when he nearly took the head of AA) and busts Drogba head open. Mean but fair comment Agree???

  89. wardo says:

Geoff…..imo Diaby and Song have both gone in the oposite direction when it come to improving.

Diaby was a player I really rated just before his bad ankle break injury vs Sunderland 2/3 years ago. Since then he has gone down hill.

Song was a player I really thought would never make it in the EPL let alone at Arsenal. He has improved so much that I think he is now a fairly decent player. Please please please do not think I am saying he is top quality tho. I still think he would not walk into Manure, chavs, Barca or Real Mad…….but, if he continues to improve ??

  90. Geoff says:

Randall’s a mystery to me, but if you add him, Murphy, Gilbert, Hoyte and Simpson none of them will make it at Arsenal so why not sell them now.

I just can’t work out why we keep them for so long.

  91. ed atom says:

Wardo…if dolphin head Diarra can make the Madrid team, then so too can Song….Yes I agree he is not world class yet, but he is one of the most improved defensive midfielders/players in the premiership…and the EPL is the best in the world….Let us give credit where credit is due.

  92. RockyPires says:

You could nearly make a team of past acedemy players plying their trades in good teams and who raked in millions for us.
    _____________S.Taylor
    Hoyte____Connolly__Cole
    Bentley__Sidwell__Harper__Mumba__Larsson
    _________Pennant__Lupoli

    Dickov,Thomas,Boothroyd,Stack,Stokes,Barrett

  93. tonyadamsisgod says:

Sunday’s game really can be seen as the acid test for Song. Its time to show you can mix it with the big boys or if you’re just ‘doing a job’ against mediocre oppo.

  94. Geoff says:

Wardo that’s all I’ve been saying all season, Song is 22 and improving, he was shit when he was 20 though, so why have we had to suffer him, Denilson and Diaby.

Why don’t we have someone that is ready to go, why have we had to suffer through their learning curves?

If Song becomes a great player at 24, think of what we could have won had we had a great player already there whilst we were waiting for him to get to that point.

  95. tonyadamsisgod says:

I forget that the little inbred Pennant started with us!!

  96. RockyPires says:

Diarra was shit for France against Ireland kept given the ball away and loosing out in challenges to Glen Whelan and Keith Andrews.. not really World class play.

  97. insidealbania says:

Pennant came from County, and was a record signing when we got him

  98. Geoff says:

And we paid £2.5mil for him from Notts County!

  99. tonyadamsisgod says:

Geoff – That’s the same as what I said about Fabianski yesterday. The same rule applies to all players coming through:

    tonyadamsisgod Says:
    November 25, 2009 at 10:56

gazzap – He simply isn’t good enough to play for Arsenal or at least he hasn’t shown he is. You know full well that he has blunders in him and looks very nervy nearly every time he plays. He may well end up being a good GK but right now he isn’t and that is no good for us. I’m all up for having faith in players but that has to be balanced with having good players on the field now.

  100. Geoff says:

    Great minds inside!

  101. Arse&Nose says:

I don’t think Arsenal deliberately lets go of young players because they are English.

Pennant, Bentley, Gilbert, Bothroyd are just a few examples of players who have had attitude problems and I don’t think its a coincidence that they are all English.

  102. insidealbania says:

    you said it Geoff

  103. i agree with Geoff,

we have waited for 5 years for any trophy for a team to potentially capture a trophy if we gonna win anything this year..

why suffer such 5 years of frustration

  104. Duke says:

Sharkey, where did you see that I said we shouldn’t sign young players if we don’t sign experienced ones?

What I was saying is that signing young players while not signing experienced ones will lead to comments like “Signing another 14 year old is bollox” while as signing both would not…

I thought that was pretty clear.

  105. rico says:

See you all a little later – shopping to be done !!

    Hi Dennis :)

  106. ArsenalKenya says:

According to Physioroom Clichy and Diaby should be back for the Chelsea game:-

    http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/epl_injury_table.php

  107. RockyPires says:

Forgot others who we mad profits on like
    Aliadiere,Simek,Upson,,Voz,Vernezza,Garry,Smith,Gray.Black,Hughes.
All have featured in the EPL or the Championship but werent deemed good enough for us.
The academy is a good option but I agree we currently have a few players who are in no mans land and probably will be shipped out like Randall,Barazite,Simpson.

  108. B.B.K. says:

don’t you think that statement of,we are better then chelsea is going way overboard.

  109. wardo says:

Ed Atom…..I was gutted when Dolphin head left. He was more advanced than Song at the time.

As for Song. I have to eat my words from last year when he was so so so bad at Arsenal. Around the time when we loaned him to Charlton also…..they didn;t even bid to keep him and they are shite !!!

But now, he has improved so much I think we will miss him when he goes to the ACN…….

  110. Geoff says:

Rocky what about Luis Boa Morté?

Let’s not mention those that went without making us money though, like Flamini, Edu, Campbell and Wiltord. We may be clever, but we aren’t that clever.

  111. bnsb says:

What situation do we have on hand if we do not win a trophy this year

    catas trophy

  112. Duke says:

    Out for a bit…behave!

  113. SharkeySure says:

Duke….either way, signing good players can never be ‘bollox’ whether they are old or young.

Geoff I thought we paid £2m not £2.5m but thats a minor point, considering that we sold him on for £3m, then got £2m more when he went on to Liverpool.

The profit on those deals can then be used to buy in more youngsters…you’ve got to be happy about that ;-)

  114. Geoff says:

bnsb we’re the holders of that trophy and have been for the last 4 years.

  115. B.B.K. says:

a team that misses the likes of alex song are in trouble, big trouble

  116. bnsb says:

    Geoff – LOL

  117. Geoff says:

Sharkey, but what were his costs in that time? Wages, bonuses, living costs, academy, training and treatment costs, I think, we always think we make money, but I would love to know the real profit.

I bet we made a loss on him.

  118. Geoff says:

    B.B.K I hear you mate!

  119. ArsenalKenya says:

A trend appears to be underway and that is the twisting of words by players and managers alike and the latest to suffer that fate is Mikael Silvestre.

Here is an example and to avoid using the standard tabloid headlines and in fact London papers altogether I am using the Belfast Telegraph as the example

The headline was “Silvestre hits out at Arsenal’s Sunderland show”

And this is what they wrote

Arsenal defender Mikael Silvestre has questioned the commitment of his team-mates during the defeat to Sunderland but believes they produced the best possible response in the Champions League.

The Gunners lost ground in the Barclays Premier League title race with their performance at the Stadium of Light, although Silvestre was not in the team that day.

The veteran was needed off the bench, however, when Arsene Wenger’s men bounced back against Standard Liege to seal their place in the knockout stage of Europe’s top club competition — the only negative aspect being injuries to William Gallas and Kieran Gibbs.

“I think at Sunderland we lacked a little bit of commitment,” he said.

“You drop one per cent or two per cent and that’s it, you get punished. Against Standard we wanted to rectify this and make sure we got the victory.”

So Silvestre is saying that Arsenal lacked a little bit of commitment but that is hardly him hitting out., William Gallas in the past has shown how to hit out.

Seems that the plague of sensationalism and taking comments out of context is now no longer confined to the tabloids but is now infecting all forms of media.

  120. gazzap says:

TAIG, yes I saw that comment about Fabianski. you say he looks nervous and full of blunders. I couldn’t disagree more. I dont think he appears nervous at all and I dont think he has blunders in him. So it is your opinion.
I Think he lacks premier league experience. its a physical league so he needs to get used to getting bumped at corners. He has it all and he will be in the worlds top 5 keepers.
Hard to beleive fans write off a player as good as this after fewer than 30 appearances for us.

  121. ed atom says:

Wardo…i think Dennilson could do a decent job when Song goes to the ACNs….end of the day, they are the best options available to us for now. I also happen to think, Coquelin or Craig Eastmond could fill in.

  122. Adam says:

you must be kidding, van nistelroy the cheating scum as backup, and we should buy richards? he’s like a headless chicken, anyone can see he’s thick as 2 planks

  123. gazzap says:

ArsenalKenya, Physioroom.com is not the bible! Wenger saud before the last game Clichy would be 2-3 weeks away. He should return for Liverpool away.

  124. Gunnersmith says:

B.B.K you always pop out of your shell unleashing a bomb of negativity on us

  125. Geoff says:

Okay Adam thanks, I’ll go and re write the post.

  126. wardo says:

inside…..Pennant was a good prospect but, AW could not take the pikey attitude out of him.

Arsenal have always had traditions and AW has endorsed these traditions and expects his players to behave.

Pennant would have done well at Arsenal had he focussed on football. Instead he acted like a complete plick !! Breaking the law twice along the way.

  127. B.B.K. says:

    loll

  128. wardo says:

Almost Happy Hanukkah BBK…….surely you’ll be positive then !!

  129. Adam says:

    good idea

  130. wardo says:

Ed Atom…..from what I have seen of C Eastmond, i think it may be a little too early. But, I have a feeling he will break into the team bit like Gibbs.

  131. Arsenal Tom says:

simpson’s got something about him, he’s scoring goals and niki b did the same thing when he was at the brum and was given his chance, the year after, either that or we’ll get a couple of mill for him from someone.

  132. B.B.K. says:

    don’t insult me wardo

  133. B.B.K. says:

you can call me negative all you want, but don’t call me jewish, thanks

  134. Anyone Predicting the scores for chavs game…

  135. B.B.K. says:

    0-5 sabeel

  136. Arsenal Tom says:

as long as Geoff doesnt we’ll be fine sabeel

  137. Arsenal Tom says:

    lol BBK

  138. Geoff says:

    Ye of little faith!

  139. Tom,

Geoff scores are quite accurate ;)

  140. Geoff says:

I think one team will score 3 goals and they don’t were red shirts, that’s as close as I’ll go.

  141. SharkeySure says:

Thats just it Geoff, we don’t know and prob never will, same for a lot of things in and around the club. I can live with that.

Wardo. I’m guessing that there was no way that Charlton even had the option to buy Alex Song. I don’t think you bring someone in on an exceptional talent visa then give the ‘roght to purchase’ to Charlton.

I think Gourcuff went back to Bordeaux cos of a cock up like that, where the option to buy him back was set too low, and couldn’t be changed.

  142. bnsb says:

In that case Red shirts will score four or more.

  143. B.B.K. says:

faith has got nothing to do with it geoff,it’s an acceptance of how shit we have become, getting bossed by chelsea in these recent years is quite disgusting really we never used to lose to them, now it has become the norm and that is not good.

  144. Geoff,

we were screwing the Manures at Old trafford…

I am afraid of only individual mistakes like manure game that will make other team score 3..

  145. tonyadamsisgod says:

gazzap – I re-posted that to highlight the importance of having established stars as well as potential talent at the club. It wasn’t aimed at re-opening the Fabianski debate.

  146. B.B.K

we beat chelshit at stanford bridge too

  147. Geoff says:

I was talking about Tom saying he hopes I don’t predict the score B.B.K

  148. B.B.K. says:

    sorry geoff my bad lol

  149. Gunnersmith says:

we are not getting bossed by them B.B.K we beat them at home last season if my memory serves me right

  150. Tom,

Geoff predictions are not bad, only things which makes u ask geoff not to predict is the habbit of Geoff to amplify the scoreline by which we win or lose..

mostly we have won or lost but not by the Margin of victory/loss which geoff predicts

  151. Geoff says:

    No problemo mate!

  152. B.B.K. says:

yeah we beat without essien and drogba sabeel, them two always make the difference against us and sunday will be no different, vern against drogba lollll only one winner

  153. Gunnersmith says:

    great mind Sabeel

  154. Tom

    for example

earlier geoff would predict 5-0..and we win by 2-1…but victory nontheless

  155. B.B.K. says:

g.s your memory has served you wrong we lost to them at home 1-4

  156. Arsenal Tom says:

we had denilson right win when we played them and a cunty adebayor

  157. B.B.K

those times are hopefully gone mate
we have an improving,,hard working team..NOT LIKE THE LAZY YOUNG TEAMS OF PAST 4 YRS

we are experienced enough i think,to win at home at the least,no matter who plays for chelshit

  158. Arsenal Tom says:

sabeel if thats the case on sunday then ill be a very happy chap

  159. wardo says:

BBK – we beat them last yeah. You are talking bout Arsenal arent you?

Sharkey – your prob right bout charlton/song…..but, he didn;t make an impact there did he?? I was thinking the other day that maybe it has taken ages for him to fit into the Arsenal way of doing things. Cause he was actually voted player of the ACN two years ago………previous winners of that vote have been Essien, Eto’d.

  160. Arsenal Tom says:

hopefully it’ll be the chelsea that played wigan that we get on sunday

  161. B.B.K. says:

    yes wardo

  162. Gunnersmith says:

you’re right B.B.K i must be getting too old

meant to say at their home(away)

    lolllllll

  163. Arsenal Tom says:

when song went to charlton he was their best player by a mile! not hard though they did have darren ambrose!

  164. B.B.K. says:

where was that team on saturday sabeel?

  165. wardo says:

well we beat them last year BBK…….strange that you dont remember.

Another slip up i think cause you are not a gooner. fcuking yiddo.

  166. Bottomline

It is IN OUR HANDS…If we Turn UP,we can beat the chavs left, right, centre…and send them foxed

  167. Gunnersmith says:

    wardo Says:
    November 26, 2009 at 11:28
BBK – we beat them last yeah. You are talking bout Arsenal arent you?
    ——————————————————–

what else will he be talking about not spurs me think

  168. Arsenal Tom says:

    wardo…

you 2 are talking about different games! he’s talking about when they beat us at the emirates and your talking about when we beat them at the bridge

  169. B.B.K

saturday was a blip…we won the next game yesterday

  170. B.B.K. says:

it’s ok g.s i will ask you again in an hour hopefully you won’t forget

  171. Arsenal Tom says:

i think the sunderland loss might have come at a good time… its a timely reminder that you dont get it all your own way just cos the opposition is a smaller club… should be the kick up the arse the boys need

  172. gazzap says:

sunday’s result will all depend on which team scores first. if chelsea score fisrt, we are fucked. they defend with 9 men behind the ball and you cannot get near their goal. they would win if they score first.

If we score first it actually might brig them out and then we might get more. then I go for an Arsenal win.

    I reckon its 50/50.

  173. B.B.K. says:

    B.B.K. Says:
    November 26, 2009 at 11:24
yeah we beat them without essien and drogba sabeel, them two always make the difference against us and sunday will be no different, vern against drogba lollll only one winner.for you wardo

  174. gazzap…

yes,if chavs score first they defend well as always..but remember we Beat chavs at stanford bridge one goal down to win 2-1…what a satisfying victory that was…

inshalla hoping for the REAL ARSENAL to turn up for sunday,
Sunday is the day when we can prove we are seriously game for winning the league

  175. B.B.K

    i think u r superstitious,
ur psychology could be,if u try to “generate” negative feelings that we lose on sunday, then, actually we would win..

probably this what making u feel the way u ,right now

  176. wardo says:

AT – he said it now normal that we lose vs chavs……its not cause its 1-1 in the EPL last season.

BBK – you keep on. I dont care I support Arsenal. If they win, lose or draw I’ll support them. This is a statement that you can not say.

  177. SharkeySure says:

    Wardo – HH – fucking classic !!!

  178. B.B.K. says:

    whatever wardo

  179. wardo says:

Gazzap……you could be right but we have taken the lead vs the chavs a few times and not got the result.

I think it is 50/50…..could go anyway. We have a good chance if we take our chances and dont lose concentration

  180. B.B.K. says:

and when was it 1-1 in the epl last season wardo???

  181. Gunnersmith says:

    Wardo Classic

  182. B.B.K. says:

i seem to remember it was 1-2 at the bridge and 1-4 at emirates

  183. Arse&Nose says:

Everyone has written us off vs Chelsea.

It pisses me off that when teams come to our HOME ground everyone predicts that it will be a walk in the park for them.

Yet you never hear it when Chelsea travel to Liverpool, or even Everton or Villa then everyone say “oo that will be a tough one to call”. Do these so called pundits forget that we have one of the best home records in the league?

  184. Arsenal Tom says:

    BBK… 1-1 in games i think mate

  185. Arsenal Tom says:

A&N i know what you mean mate but i think it works as a good motivator for us… allot of players mention the fact that we’re always being written off… i think it adds to the challenge and gives the another reason to work harder

  186. RockyPires says:

Ya I remeber watching Song playing in midfield for Charlton against Utd at OT and they held their own for ages ended up losing 2-0 or something but Song was class and that s when my hopes for him becoming a player grew

  187. Arse&Nose says:

    lets hope so AT.

Personally I fancy us for this game,
Chelsea have not had many tough away games and have already lost away to Villa and Wigan.

  188. Well

    One thing is ABSOLUTELY necessary

If we have ANY CHANCE of winning the league, we MUST WIN ALL OUR HOME GAMES

  189. wardo says:

    bbk 1-1 as in games.

We beat them then they beat us.

    So they dont always win.

  190. gazzap says:

Chelsea have improved their defending under Ancelotti, no question about that. we’d have more chance if they were still under Hiddink.

the times we lost to chelsea having taken the lead were criminal. nearly every time we controlled the game and looked like we would win – only for chelsea to score from nowhere and beat us. we are too easy to score against without having been under any pressure.

  191. B.B.K. says:

ah ok got the wrong end of the stick, they have beaten us more times then we have beaten them over these past 5 years, that’s what i meant..

  192. all you guys have ALSO watched chavs games

this season they have not have many tuf games, and those that they had, they have lost against Villa and wigan, who both play comparatively good football..

Any reasons why chavs lost those 2 games against villa and wigan ?

we must try to understand there weaknesses also right

  193. dennisdamenace says:

Fuck Chavski, Fuck SSN, Fuck all the so-called pundits, fucking take the game to these classless cunts, blow them away in the first 20 minutes like we used to do, and give a few of them a fucking dig into the bargain, cunts to a man…..

  194. RockyPires says:

    200th??

  195. wardo says:

    DDM…that’s spirit.

Sab indian……Wigan beat them. So why cant Arsenal ?? (Altho they will up their game). We can do it mate

  196. wardo says:

**DDM – thats the spirit !!

hangover makes me forget words it seems……

  197. Gunner win 1 says:

If we can seriosly press Chelsea in the first 20 minutes and get that all important goal, then I think we will walk away with all 3 points.
Keep Essien and Lampard quiet and choke the supply to Drogbreath and Anelka…Christmas is going to be beautiful for me!!!!

  198. Gunnersmith says:

And to think of Chelski loosing to a team spud thrashed 9-1 will make you wanna be optimistic for sundays games

  199. insidealbania says:

I like the attitude DDM. A winning mentality is important for this game

  200. wardo says:

TAIG – you out there ???

  201. Gunnersmith says:

Gunner win 1 we pressed them last season and ended up with no points i think it’s not the matter of pressing them its a matter of converting little chances that we create if we create chances and not convert them we will surely be punished

  202. wardo says:

    Exactly GS…….

DDM . GW1 – I think that even if we press them hard in the first 20mins, the game will still not be over.
All we need to do is stay focussed for the full 90mins ! Chavs pray on us losing concentration and conceding late goals……thats how they have over turned all our leads against them of recent yrs

  203. dennisdamenace says:

Seriously, if we cut out the clown defending and go for their throat from the off they will be fucked, the crowd need to play their collective part too, GET FUCKING HOSTILE people………..GRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

  204. Arse&Nose says:

The only weakness chelsea have shown this season is their vulnerability at set pieces and crosses. Which we aren’t particularly good at ourselves.

  205. Arse&Nose says:

    BOLLAKS!

Lampard will be fit to face us, he used that placenta therepy.

  206. charybdis1966 says:

Well said DDM – that’s the spirit, that’s the kind of talk I like to see about our beloved(as Tomstoned would say) club. I’m not one to run down OUR club, I didn’t invest 35 years of my life supporting them to run them down.
Let the good guys win on Sunday, not the team of cnuts.

  207. dennisdamenace says:

Can someone please point me in the direction of a Chav supporter, I feel a row coming on!!!!

  208. Geoff says:

So if he’s fit, why isn’t Robin? Anyway if we lob a few carrots at the cunt he won’t be able to resist them.

  209. Arse&Nose says:

lol geoff, thats what I dont get. This placenta therapy seems to have got Lampard, Johnson, Aurelio all fit within 2 weeks but RVP is still months away.

  210. charybdis1966 says:

You are bang on with that also DDM – the crowd must make it a very hostile environment for the Chavs. Don’t let the ref not see all of Drogbas diving/faking and cheating.
If you want DDM you should go onto VitalChelsea and wind ‘em up, like I used to.

  211. SharkeySure says:

DDM well fucking said. Thats the spirit, we are The Arsenal and Chelsea are scum.

Who’d have thought I’d have to ‘listen’ to fucking Spudz on here predicting that we’ll lose 5 fucking nil!!!

    Shocking…..

Lets hope he fucks off somewhere for Happy Hannukkah and stays there !!!

  212. wardo says:

    Geoff……i blogged on this earlier.

Its typical of Chavski to over estimate an injury in the build up to playing us. I said the other day that he’d be fit.

If Denilson plays, he should man mark him out of the match and stop his late runs into the box.

  213. wardo says:

    Sharkey – haha…..

Its like we’re fcuking blind letting a spud on here predicting Arsenal to lose 0-5 !!! takes the fcuking p155 !!

  214. leon says:

if you listen to most foofball pundits we dnt have much of against chelsea, the key to this match as usual is in midfield now i dont think so for one second arsenal can out muscle chelsea but they have stick to there pressing game i highly suspect song will just sit infont of the defnce and delinson and fab will play higher up the puitch i feel if chelsea pkay an open game which i hope they will lose every time, but i dont think they will i feel the play there usual diamond formation or play 451

  215. dennisdamenace says:

Don’t get me wrong, if our boys let me down a la last season with another shocking, choking display they will get the wrath of dennis!! However, right now I feel fucking good about turning those classless chav cunts over, c’monnnnnnnnnnn boys don’t let me down, finally fulfil your potential and send a message out to the rest of the Premier League.

    The Menace Has Spoke!

  216. RockyPires says:

Arsenose Alex and Boswinga/Belletti are there for the taking and I m sure AA will run rings around them.
Terry is not the player of old and football played along the ground will open them up. Can see Cesc running at them Terry commiting himself and then cesc feeding the ball into Vela/EDS to tap in.
Denilson and Song should provide defencive stability and Nasri and Cesc should enjoy the more offensive loose roles. Ya we will beat them.

  217. Geoff says:

Wardo, that would work if he could learn how to mark a player, he could tell his mate then.

  218. Gunner win 1 says:

    Fuck Chelsea…we rule London.
Drogba got kicked in the ribs, now kick him in the teeth and while you at it send him to a decent hair stylist…fuckin muppets.

  219. SharkeySure says:

‘..he could tell his mate then”

Geoff, thats why the rest of us bang about Song, cos you just won’t let it go. You’re just as bad as me !!!

Did you forget writing this just a couple of hours ago:
“we spend far too long debating him and we ought to move on, he’s in the team, he’s first choice and I fully support him”

    ;-)

  220. dennisdamenace says:

Give that cunt Drogbreath an elbow in the ribs in the first couple of minutes, send him and his mates a sign saying that we mean fucking business!

  221. Tommo says:

Got a great feeling about this one. It seems like all the signs are there for a re-awakening of our sleeping giant. We are being written off again, just the way we like it. Lets all get behind the boys in the red & white.

Regardless of your opinion on individuals, if they wear the shirt, they should get our full blooded support.

The fucking Chelsea SCUM need to get battered for us to keep in contention for the title. Especially at home.

Regarding the article – being English is nothing to do with being sold, being a dick head is. If the boys haven’t got the commitment they won’t make the grade – Arsenal is nothing if not a meritocracy. Exactly what have the lads we have sold achieved? Fuck all.

  222. Geoff says:

Ha, ha Sharkey, I was talking about Diaby who is the worst marker in the team.

Song’s marking is about the only thing I haven’t criticised him on. It’s everything else he’s bad at.

  223. dennisdamenace says:

Fuck Song, the horse he rode into town on, any other of those highly paid under fucking achievers if they don’t give it 110% against those fucking dig shits on Sunday….. Seriously NOW is the time to stand up and be counted, not next season, fucking NOW!

  224. leaving office…catch u guys from home

  225. Geoff says:

But well done for pointing him out, guilty conscience me thinks!

  226. Tommo says:

Oh yeah, first time poster, long time reader.

Feel it’s about time to get my 2 pence worth!

    Hello all :-)

  227. Norwegian Bergkamp says:

    I love your spirit DDM!
Let`s show them what we`re made of!

And Drogba: Be afraid of the Verminator, be very, very afraid!!!!

  228. dennisdamenace says:

Fucking iPhone strikes again!! Cunting thing, I must’ve bought it from a fucking Chav……

  229. Gunnersmith says:

there Geoff you’ve started the debate again i could just take you up on it

  230. tonyadamsisgod says:

DDM – Fuck it off mate. Just stick to your Bold!!

  231. wardo says:

lmfao ddm…..didn;t spot a spelling mistake on your last post !! what went wrong with the iphone.

  232. dennisdamenace says:

Cheers taig, unfortunately I have the earlier version of the Bold!

  233. wardo says:

    hey TAIG !!

you played that poker yet ?? i’m like 10.5k up with one player left on the table and she keeps folding everytime i bet $10 !!! fcuking cnut…..bet she is a yiddo……. :0

  234. tonyadamsisgod says:

    Howdy Tommo!!

I think The Verminator could be looking to really fuck some chavs up on Sunday. reckon he might have already taken it upon himself to be the bruiser for the day!!

  235. Geoff says:

    Welcome aboard Tommo!

  236. tonyadamsisgod says:

Wardo – ha ha ha!! Mate, I cant put it down!! I need to be much more patient like you said though!!

  237. dennisdamenace says:

Wardo you Mungler! “dig shits” should’ve read “dog shits”!!!

  238. SharkeySure says:

    No GS…we’re both wrong….apparently

Geoff now wants us to believe he’s talking about Diaby

Whats the emoticon for ‘yeah right – nice try’ !!

  239. Geoff says:

Gunnersmith, it wasn’t me it was Sharkey!

  240. tonyadamsisgod says:

DDM – Still, gotta be better than the iBrick!

Geoff – How have the stewards been at The Emirates lately?? Haven’t heard you, or anyone else for that matter, slate them lately?? Improvements? I still haven’t been this year.

  241. dennisdamenace says:

Tommo welcome to the mad house 8O

  242. wardo says:

TAIG…..yeah been there. Lost bit of money then bet the whole lot on next hand and lost. Start all over again….

DDM – haha – see it now. Was given a free pass from the fat one last night. Didnt waste that oportunity and can barely read today !

  243. SharkeySure says:

    Good shout that Tommo !!

  244. wardo says:

    welcome Tommo….

  245. wardo says:

Is Ashley Cole playing Sunday ???

I lost my voice 2 seasons ago when we were singin “oh Ashley Cole !!!! IS A FCUKING ASS Hole”

  246. Geoff says:

Tony, they must have been having lessons, they are very quiet these days.

  247. dennisdamenace says:

Fucking gutted actually, that fucking loafer Franchise has my Season Ticket for Sunday’s game, I might just have to hang around the Che during the game drinking Colombian rum, drooling over the South American barmaids and hurling abuse at the tele screens….

  248. Geoff says:

I was in the directors toilet at Stamford Bridge once having a wee next to Dickie Attenborough and David Dein.

It was funny, when they left all these mobile phone leaflets accidentally fell out of my pocket onto the floor.

I couldn’t pick them up as I’d just washed my hands. I still feel bad about that.

  249. tonyadamsisgod says:

Geoff – glad to hear they’ve made the change! I bet they received complaints!!

  250. tonyadamsisgod says:

    Geoff – :D

  251. ArsenalKenya says:

Chelsea, already safely through to the last 16 of the Champions League, have now embarked on a series of away games that could prove the key to their season while testing the credentials of their rivals.

After Arsenal, they must travel to Manchester City.

“I really do think we are close to getting back to the invincible feeling we had three years ago,” defender John Terry, who made his 300th appearance as club captain against Porto on Wednesday, told British newspaper reporters.

    SPECIAL YEAR

“I listen to the other players when we are away with England and they are all talking about how well we’re playing. They’re fearing us again,” he added.

“Now is the time we can pull away…this can be another special year in the history of Chelsea and the next few weeks can move us towards our goal. We are getting close to being dominant.”

Like Arsenal, Chelsea have come unstuck away from home this season. They lost at Wigan Athletic, themselves thrashed 9-1 by Tottenham Hotspur in North London last Sunday, and Aston Villa.

Terry said they had learnt from a year ago, however.

“We started well and then threw it away over the Christmas period,” he said. “It’s just about regrouping, keeping everyone fit and believing.”

  252. dennisdamenace says:

OK, OK I’ve calmed down a tad, just listened to “I wanna get next to you” by Rose Royce on the old iPhone……….ahhhhhhhhh aaaaaaaand breathe….

  253. dennisdamenace says:

    Listed!!!!!!! FFS!!!!! Listened………….

  254. Geoff says:

    There, there, all done!

  255. Big Dave says:

The thing is we haven’t beaten Man ure for 3 games and the chavs 2 matches.
Can’t see us getting much out of sunday, Allways knew that drog/ lampard would return. hope we do smash them by my heart says no. draw possibbly

  256. SharkeySure says:

    Positivity guys……

    Ommmmmmmmm Ommmmmmmmmm Ommmmmmmmmmm

  257. Geoff says:

Just got this sent to me.

    Holdings in the Company (26/11/09)
The following announcement has today been made on the Plusmarkets website
On 25th November 2009, Arsenal Holdings plc (the “Company”) received notification that on 25th November 2009 Stan Kroenke, a director of the Company, acquired 20 ordinary shares of £1.00 each in the Company at a price of £8,500 per share.

Taking into account such acquisition, Stan Kroenke has a beneficial interest in, and controls voting rights over, 18,624 ordinary shares in the Company, representing 29.9% of the Company’s issued ordinary shares.

    26/11/09

  258. insidealbania says:

We can do it, its all down to the players, whatever team AW selects will be capable of beating the chavs. They just need to come out of the box flying, win the the first few challenges, and keep the tempo very high. The defenders have to be very careful not to get caught trying to play the offside trap. And finally we have to take our chances. If they cant be up for this game then they dont deserve to wear the shirt. But I am sure they know that.

  259. Mr B says:

    were gonna win!

    Were gonna SCORE!
And then well get a few MORE!
And then another one just to be SURE!

  260. Geoff says:

Or maybe four and be a bore!

  261. Mr B says:

Well if he keeps buying a share a week he can own the club within the comming few centuries.

  262. Mr B says:

Are u talking about the game or me Geoff??? ;)

  263. Tommo says:

Cheers gents for the warm welcome – I love the variety of opinion on here – Geoff, Pedro – great site. Mass debates daily. Er… :-/

We DO have the quality to win this game – and thats not just born out of blind loyalty and optimism – Sagna, Vermaelen, Denilson, Song, Fabregas, Are nailed on the starters – the left back spot and the front three are up for debate.

    Arsh, Theo, Eduardo anyone?

  264. Geoff says:

The game Mr B! I just can’t fathom out the logic of Kroenke though.

    It borders on being childish.

  265. tonyadamsisgod says:

Inside – I told you that all of that match fixing would involve Albania. Also Hungary, Slovenia and Latvian clubs.

  266. Geoff says:

That line up or Vela, Arshavin and Eduardo Tommo.

  267. tonyadamsisgod says:

Geoff – Thats it then. Time to launch the take over right?

  268. Arse&Nose says:

Rockypires, I agree about bosingwa, belleti and alex being poor but Chelsea wont be playing them so it doesnt matter.

  269. Arsenal Tom says:

theo should play one of the wing roles so he use his pace, playing as the central striker he’ll have to play more with his back to goal

    arsh, eddie, theo
    denilson, song, fab

3-1 arsenal, stick it up your hole you dirty chavs

  270. Arse&Nose says:

I worry about Theo, every time he gets the ball you feel the tension in the crowd, the knowing that there is a 95% chance he will lose possession.

  271. Tommo says:

A tasty side effect of beating the chavs keeps the scum from the wrong side of the tracks thinking they are the business. My brother is one, fucking runt of the family. Can’t have him hissing in my ear about how it’s their year. Ugh.

Villa should take care of business on that side.

The big problem for is that Drogba is a MASSIVE cunt – in size and in cuntyness, and our CB pairing isn’t even nailed on because of Big Willies ankle/head problem.

We need to be solid and aggressive in midfield to stifle the supply and to show chavskis old fuckers that we’re men, not boys. Song and Denilson have a great chance to change the minds of the doubters, and I reckon they’ve got the talent to do the job, but are there balls big enough to deal with Bollock Essien and fatboy?

  272. Tommo says:

@ Arse&Nose – agreed about Theo, he seems to have the touch of a fucking donkey at times – but you’ve got to think that in the time he has been with us his touch must be getting better?

Maybe it’s a confidence/game time thing – Arsene doesn’t tend to sign anyone unless they can at least control a fucking football. We ain’t Wigan.

  273. Nick says:

Taig your bet was the bollocks….if you done it the other way around :)

  274. Geoff says:

Well all the Song and Denilson lovers will find out if there boys are as good as they say.

I fucking hope so because if there’s on team I really hate it’s those cunts that play in blue and use stolen money to win shit.

  275. RockyPires says:

If they dont play Belletti/Alex who will they play.
Even better if Ivanovic is right back, Carvalho doesnt want to be there and is playing like that.
Other than their threat from setpieces I fancy our chances.

  276. Arse&Nose says:

    Tommo, agreed.

Walcott in my opinion has everything in his locker to become one of the top 10 players in the world. He has shown glimpses but he needs to relax and play without the nerves.

Every time he gets the ball he is like a rabbit in headlights, takes too long to decide what to do and loses it.

  277. Tommo says:

@Geoff – agreed, there is no test like a test against the best.

And although it feels like pushing a pine cone up my arris to say it, the dirty chavs are one of the best.

*spits out the little bit of sick that came up*

Time to prove we deserve to be mentioned as the best. Lets be havin ya! RAWR

  278. Tommo says:

@Arse&Nose – Walcott can, and I’m fairly confident he will, become a beast up front for us.

Wenger said he wants him to eventually become a striker and he is learning his trade on the wing. Theo himself wants to be a striker.

So you gotta ask the question, although at 20 he is still young, when will he get the chance to learn his trade in the role we bought him to eventually dominate in – as a striker?

Personally, I reckon a prolonged stint in the middle scoring goals would do him the world of good in terms of confidence. Maybe the CC/FA cup runs are a good chance to whack him up there?

  279. wardo says:

Tommo…..Can I suggest that you smear toothpaste in your brothers eye on Sunday morning. No matter how good / bad the match is. He wont enjoy it too much !!!

A&N – I think Theo tries too hard. I think to become a top player he needs to play basic football then understand when to go run at defenders. Basically mix it up a bit…..he seems bit one dimensional

  280. Gooby says:

walcott’s problem is that he never makes the good decision. he has poor vision on the pitch but if he calms down a bit he may find a way.

  281. insidealbania says:

Theo for me is too one dimensional. The guy has no trick and doesn’t link up well with the forwards. He has the potential to rectify this but has to stay injury free and get regular football. If only he can learn a trick or two to go past players…. its so frustrating watching him play sometimes, does the same shit as Eboue without the diving.

  282. Arse&Nose says:

Wardo, it does look like he is trying to hard and not playing naturally like he did when he played his first few games for us.

  283. Nick says:

inside thats what i thought as well his last couple of games  at least we get free kicks out of eboue  felt really dirty thinking it but seeing as you said it as well must be a few others that see it the same way

  284. insidealbania says:

LOL nick, Theo needs to learn some dive techniques from Eboue.

  285. Tommo says:

@Wardo – he’s 24 but still my little bro in my eyes so I’d be delighted to while giving him a dead leg, double trouble ;-)

Fair comment geez. He does seem to try too hard to impress – but again mate you gotta think if there’s a certain “type” Wenger buys it’s – small, quick, skillfull, intelligent.

I reckon he’ll learn vision and decision making quick enough if given a chance up front so we can see what he’s made of. Not the PL or CL, but definitely the other cups. He has been injured to fuck as well.

  286. wardo says:

Tommo….. :D my older sister (who is a pain in the arse) did that to me before school one day. Its like 17/18 years ago but still remember how painful it was !!!

  287. wardo says:

Guys – funniest fight I have ever seen.

Please watch it it is so funny.

Let me know what you think also…….

  288. Nick says:

thought it was manny paco at first

  289. wardo says:

    lol nick !!!

    Guess which one wins ???

  290. bnsb says:

    Kroenke.

did someone talk about death by 1000 cuts. 958 done another 48 to go :)

  291. reggie57 says:

Oi Wardo thats a bit Dwarfist

  292. Tommo says:

That cannot be real can it? Looks properly put on like a wrestling match!

The big (well, for a midget) cunt was fucking rubbish! He got battered over and over in the face, learn to keep your gloves up you div!

Love how when the ref spots an infringement he just picks one of em up. Superb.

    Bravo wardo, bravo

  293. tonyadamsisgod says:

Nick – How fucking shambolic was that bet!! Djoko lost it for me straight away so at least the misery didn’t last long. Better falling at the first hurdle than the last!

  294. Nick says:

wardo the little one in the blue was proper dirty felt sorry for him at first :) the one in the red just loved taking a dig it was obvious what was gonna happen and he just kept walking in to em   proper sick shit anyway :) what was you looking for when you found that you sicko

I’ll beware the BBK inspired Kristallnacht then.

  296. Nick says:

Taig if you had done it the way it came out you would have won a fortune.. :) the last game usually fucks me i only bet on football and lose enough there with out any other sport lending a hand.

  297. wardo says:

    Reg – classic hahaha

Nick / Tommo – its the handstand kick that made me laugh !! My mate posted it on my facebook with the caption “proper wrong”

  298. Tommo says:

    @Reggie….

  299. Jimmythegun says:

One of the main battles on Sunday could be between the keepers – as in who drops the biggest clanger? My money is on Cech, its been a few weeks since his last.

The ‘Moon’ is more likely to continue his invisble man role, as opposed to making a particular f**k up.

Bless big Al, why are so many of the nice guys sh*t and the d*ckheads really, really good?

  300. Nick says:

wardo bet you a monkey the blue dwarf wins :)

  301. Tommo says:

Ah bollox how do you insert an image here?

Basically, I see wot u did there.

    See link for details.

  302. wardo says:

    magit – lmfao

  303. wardo says:

Nick….blue dwarf. He doesn;t have a hammer behind his ear does he ???

  304. insidealbania says:

Those hand stands were bloody funny.

  305. reggie57 says:

    Now that was funny!!

  306. I AM GOONER (maqitlarge) says:

all I can say is “wow”, Wardo. I think we’re on the same page tho from what I’ve seen over the last day or so.

  307. Tommo says:

@Jimmythegun – I wouldn’t call Almunia shit – there’s far worse than him. It’s just a bit of a shame that our best keeper is only “ok” and not “great”.

There’s not many world class keepers available that we can get. Fabianski aint exactly tried and tested now is he?

Regarding the clash of the clangers – I’ll agree with you on that one, Cech is due an epic fuck up.

    pssst…who’s the moon??

  308. Jimmythegun says:

Manuel ‘The Moon’ Almunia – part-time goalkeeper, full-time nice guy!

  309. wardo says:

magit – you just seen that video ??

    bad isn’t it…..

  310. Tommo says:

    ;-) gotcha

He does seem like a bloody nice bloke.

  311. reggie57 says:

I can see the Verminator taking out Dogshite and saying have some of that you fuckin pussy…….

  312. Jimmythegun says:

Yeah, I thought he delt with the Mad Jens situation with a lot of dignity.

I bloody loved that mad German b*stard though, even through the playacting and Almunia bullying. I know he had a mistake in him from time to time, but he was a match winner on more than one occasion.

Bit for difficult to say that about Al, although he was immense at OT in the Champs League last year.

  313. B.B.K. says:

vern got done by bent,so i don’t know how he’s gonna deal with drogba

  314. wardo says:

    Jimmy TG

Agree with Jens…..although everytime we had a corner against us i thought “here we go – he’ll get sent off now”

He got away with blue murder that bloke

  315. reggie57 says:

Nah BBK he will do him good and proper mate!!

  316. wardo says:

I agree BBK. Verm is a pile of shit.

In fact Cesc is fcuking useless also.

    Gibbs isn’t worthy.

    AW has no idea.

    And the Spuds a brilliant

  317. I AM GOONER (maqitlarge) says:

    disband everything, there’s no point!

  318. reggie57 says:

Wardo take it from me mate BBK is not a spud? never in a million years……

  319. wardo says:

reggie – do you know him then?

Why does he seem to hate everything Arsenal ?

  320. Tommo says:

Agreed regarding crazy Jens. Gotta love that man, off his fucking rocker but a superb goalkeeper nonetheless.

I guess if we win a significant trophy with Almunia between the sticks it might go someway towards dispelling the doubts about him.

The same could be said for a lot of the squad though – you can have all the talent in the world but you gotta win something to be considered world class.

  321. charybdis1966 says:

Anyone heard anything from Wenger’s Thursday press conference regarding available players ? Anyone back from Nursey’s room yet ?

  322. gazzap says:

unless kroenke is sure he can get usmanovs shares whats the point of trying to buy the club? usmanov holds a blocking stake.
therefore kroenke could never completely control the club. without those shares kroenke would always have to hold an AGM for example.
I cant see usmanov selling. even for no other reason than just to be obstructive.

  323. reggie57 says:

No i dont know him personaly? hes been blogging a long time on here and all he wants is the same as all our fans do is a winning team, and not be perenial under achievers!!

  324. wardo says:

chary – not sure there is press conf today mate.

could be wrong but I always thought it was Friday’s or 1 day before match.

    not 100% on this tho

  325. dennisdamenace says:

I have in my very proud possesion a Mad Jens t-shirt……… the nutta was a legend!

  326. wardo says:

reggie….I know he has. I have been blogging here for over 18 months now.

He has always been so negative and I use to think “jeez. This guy is depressed”

But, he never ever seems to say anything positive when we win or look like we’re in a promising posn.

    I’m not so sure mate.

  327. charybdis1966 says:

Same here Reggie, I remember it was debated on here (in a “mass” fashion of course) a while ago whether there were Thursday or Friday press conferences and whether they depended on if the weekend game was on Saturday or Sunday.
Like most here we’re eager for news of returning players/availabilities.

  328. SharkeySure says:

“part-time goalkeeper, full-time nice guy” – thats quality.

Lehmann is a prime example of why nice guys shouldnt play in goal !!!

    Well said JimmyTG

  329. B.B.K. says:

im not happy with the club because we should be so much better then what we are, these past 5 years wenger has weakened us so much that you would think it’s a totally different club since 03-04

  330. reggie57 says:

Nah wardo 100% he aint no spud he likes to gee people up with his comments? thats just the way he is…

  331. timao says:

arshavin is the man – he will save our bacon (not traore’s cos he doesn’t like it) think of his match-winning performance in the Euros, then 4 against Liverpool. we’re due another one Andre!

  332. SharkeySure says:

I’m with you all the way Wardo !!

Wot sort of Arsenal fan predicts a 5-0 loss for Sunday !!!!

Doesn’t even say it like it would be the worst thing in the world either…

And now he’s praising Bent as well. Who did Bent last play for again….??

Well I’m not waiting for a combo of Clouseau, Columbo and Scooby Doo to turn up before I wish him Happy Hannukkah !!!

  333. charybdis1966 says:

I would have figured that out for myself Sharkey, if it hadn’t a been for you meddling kids !

  334. Nick says:

why we bullying BBK his ok let him be and the r.a.ceism is quite disturbing

  335. wardo says:

hahaha – sharkey. The last bit cracked me up.

  336. reggie57 says:

Oi ss you lumping me in with clouseau you wrong on!!

  337. B.B.K. says:

how is saying vern got done by bent, praising him

  338. I AM GOONER (maqitlarge) says:

SS, he’s made it clear he doesn’t want to be called Jewish. Do you mind refraining from such obscenities.

    Zieg hail

  339. timao says:

lose 0-5??? no way. we are going to dish out a footballing lesson. show those chelsea feckers just how far they have to go. 3-0 The Arsneal! get in

  340. SharkeySure says:

The way you say it Solomon (!), you are doing down one of our own, and bigging up a Spud.

Thats praising a spud in my book

  341. reggie57 says:

    YOU CUNT SHARKEY

  342. Tommo says:

Not every team can win, there are other teams that have been better than ours over the last 5 years. If you need a trophy to feel justified in supporting a club thats your perogative.

Although I’m not happy with mediocrity, I’ll support The Arsenal through thick & thin

With that said, if you think that The Arsenal are miles behind the rest you are sorely mistaken. We are inches from being a great team and dominating English football again.

I just wish Wenger would bite the fucking bullet and buy some world class defensive players to balance our undoubted attacking potential Vermaelen is one, who’s the next?

  343. Arse&Nose says:

lol Nick “Griffin” is back to talk about Race :P

  344. SharkeySure says:

Nick. Its not rac(i)st..I aint generalising about any group or race or insinuating that theres anything bad about being Jewish

  345. wardo says:

Reggie…..i can see what you are saying but its not gee’ing people up. Its taking the p155 out of my club.

Nick – there is no r.a.ceism mate. I would not do that……

BBK – why do you say things like Chavs will beat us 5 nil ?? its not on mate !

  346. reggie57 says:

Theres nothing wrong with being a front wheel? aint that right sharkey!!

  347. Nick says:

if you say so sharkey, i think you are but lets not get into it.

  348. B.B.K. says:

man united have been dominating this league for the past 20 years now they always seem to win so why can’t we.Wenger had it all before 2005 and threw it all away for us,now he is struggling to build another trophy winning team.

  349. SharkeySure says:

Maqit You’re on dodgy ground there mate. And in that context my initials of SS look suspect as well ;-)

Funnily enough I just watched a film called ‘Downfall’ this week, its about Hitlers last days in his bunker.

You’d have loved it Nick, its in German with subtitles…

I know you absolutely love ‘indie’ movies

  350. wardo says:

well put Tommo….. we haven’t been out of the top 4 for 12 yrs. We aren’ that far behind….

I agree with everything you just wrote !!! Just a 2 decent buys and we’re there

  351. SharkeySure says:

Nick .. the ‘Solomon’ bit was a (poor?) stereotype, I’ll adnit that much.

  352. SharkeySure says:

Front wheel Reggie.?? I’m lost ….

  353. B.B.K. says:

wardo they smashed us last season 1-4 we haven’t brought in anyone of note that will make the different for us,especially against them.ok maybe i was going overboard saying 5-0 but i thin it can happen especially with our defence

  354. Nick says:

    Sharkey you know me well.

Taig whats the odds of ANDREA and jordon getting back together and renewing their vales??

Also could you tell me what the odds for 0-0 would be on sunday???

  355. reggie57 says:

Wardo how long have we been saying that for “Just 2 decent buys and we’re there” Thats what BBK is saying but a bit more aggresive !!

  356. I AM GOONER (maqitlarge) says:

haha – didn’t think of that Sharkey.

Have you seen the clips of downfall with football scenario subtitles? very funny

  357. reggie57 says:

Call yourself a londoner Sharkey well i never? Nick got it and you are both from the same neck of the woods!

  358. wardo says:

BBK – we could lose on Sunday.

If I were 100% sure we were going to win I would double my mortgage and place a bet.

Its football anything can happen. We could beat them 5-0. Stranger things have happened.

I dont dislike you in the slightest its just you slate my club constantly which gets on my nerves. So much so, I do doubt (rightly or wrongly) your support.

Are you 100% sure we are going to lose on Sunday ?? tell my the truth.

  359. SharkeySure says:

Maq. Now you mention it, I think I have.

I saw the comedy clips on youtube some time ago but never bothered to think about what film it was.

    Cracking film btw

  360. SharkeySure says:

“I dont dislike you in the slightest its just you slate my club constantly which gets on my nerves. So much so, I do doubt (rightly or wrongly) your support.”

Repeated from me !!! Cheers Wardo, and apologies for the Pedro style bindippery

  362. wardo says:

    sharkey…..Reggie is using slang.

Front wheel skid. Dustbin Lid = Yid

    4 by 2 = jew

I am not prejudice against jews in the slightest.

  363. wardo says:

How do you make copper wire ????

Let two spuds fight over a penny

  364. B.B.K. says:

yes,i think we will lose i.m.o

  365. goonermichael says:

BBK is certain wardo. He always is and but it’s win win. He can never be dissappointed. His real name is yossell cohen btw

  366. wardo says:

    :D sharkey. nah probs….

  367. wardo says:

BBK – you now “think” we’ll lose ??

earlier it was we “WILL” lose

You may as well place a bet on the chavs to win then……

  368. Nick says:

look dudes all im saying is to cain the jews is the same as any other race or religion and some on here get their nuts out when the above is even hinted towards them.
I dont give fuck just pointing it out is all.

  369. B.B.K. says:

    ok wardo we will lose

  370. Nick says:

that was for you arsefaceshitnose :)

  371. insidealbania says:

Isnt whats happening to BBK right now called cyber bullying??

  372. wardo says:

    Nick…..you’re bang on.

But Spuds call themselves “Yid Army” even the spuds I know that are not jewish.

I has nothing to do with the Jewish religion now although it obviously started out that way.

not sure this makes perfect sense but I’m just trying to justiofy being a r.a.ceist cnut  only kidding.

  373. Tommo says:

I guess the gist of my point is (assuming I’ve got one…) by all means criticise and pick apart the team after the game.

But before the game? Seriously WTF?

If you call it being realistic I’m calling bullshit – objective realism is based on a proper detached analysis of the squads – and you gotta say we have MORE than a fighting chance.

Irresistable force vs imoveable object or other such skysports BS.

I’m openly prejudiced against spuds. My bro is my best mate, but he is a spud cunt. It’s like your favourite shirt being made of barbed wire.

  374. Tommo says:

Oh yeah – MAXIMUM YER THATS B.B.K – bear man in the queue and ting.

    Fuckin hate that shit! LOLOLOL

  375. wardo says:

BBK – mate ! Do you have any fiends……they need to keep an eye on you you depressing sod

if you are that sure of it then, go and place a bet. Stick £20,000 on it.

  376. Nick says:

wardo  im not judging just calling what i see…

  377. insidealbania says:

Wardo – gambling might be against his beliefs. You cant ask him to do that

  378. wardo says:

Nick – i know mate. its a fair one in my book.

Inside…. dont you start on BBK now :D

  379. charybdis1966 says:

Bad luck Tommo, it must be soul-sucking to have a spud sibling. I’d rather have no brother than a spud for one.
I think the FC Twente supporters call themselves “Yuden” although hardly any there supporters are jewish. Calling a spud a yid is nothing to do with anti-semitism – it’s all about anti-spudi-ism.

  380. goonermichael says:

    Tommo
My brother is a spud as well. I have to laugh at him all the time.

  381. goonermichael says:

    That’s Ajax Chary

  382. insidealbania says:

OK I am off, and guys lay off BBK, I am sure he is a gooner, he had no complaints after we beat the spuds, and has tipped us to win the FA cup this year.

    PEACE

  383. goonermichael says:

    Feyenord sing

    Hammas, Haas
    gas the jews
    gas the jews

  384. wardo says:

    take care inside….

  385. goonermichael says:

not hummous that’s a tasy dish made of chick peas

  386. wardo says:

Gooner M…….they are bang out of order with that one.

Jeez. Imagine if we sung that to the spuds…..SS news would love it. Weekend off for them again

  387. wardo says:

have you seen Bruno GoonerMichael ???

Some funny stuff in that but, at the same time. Disturbing images….

  388. Nick says:

BBK can be a miserable sod but he never calls names or bully’s bods on here so lets try to drop him out fellas its not nice his ok its like kicking a puppy im my eyes yes it might have a spud shirt on but its still a puppy ;) …only joking lets play nice

  389. goonermichael says:

I went to the friendly last year in Amsterdam and there was a feyenord fan singing it. The Ajax fans used to wear the stars like the concentration camp stars.

  390. charybdis1966 says:

Oh right GoonerM – I read it somewhere but I knew it was some dutch team. I must have memories of McClaren’s memorable dutch/englidsh interview in my mind.

  391. reggie57 says:

    Well said Nicky boy!!

  392. tomstoned says:

    Afternoon All…

Thx for the post Geoff…good read as (almost)always ;)

time is edging closer for the slaying of chelski, and winning the war of London, rip London bridge to pieces and send a warning to the rest of the premier…be aware ,,we are determined and focused on domination of the premier for the next 10-15 years…and Ancelotti..hurry pack youre bags youre on your way back to the mob…where you belong..

i think that chelski will never recover from the beating we’re about to give them, this is something they will always remember…a true whipping leavin them for dead and buried…how on earth are a bunch of old half decent footballers going to put up a fight against the best team and talent in the world…well its quite easy..they cant…they will come sunday night be dead and buried…

  393. Gunnersmith says:

Sharkey, Wardo, Tommo the new guy you guys rock!!!!!!!

Lets kick spud out of Le-Grove

    Mhahahahahaah

  394. wardo says:

lol Nick……good humour and well delivered message.

    I’ll try my best.

  395. dennisdamenace says:

Gents and you Nick, wind it in eh, let’s direct all our angst towards those Chav bastards not one of our own..

  396. Nick says:

there is a spud that comes on now and then no one says fuck all to him and he is a self proclaimed spud  but people take enjoyment out of gooners pissing on other gooners :? good times

  397. Nick says:

oi DDM IM A LAAAAAAADY….. i ment Gent ;)

  398. Arse&Nose says:

  399. B.B.K. says:

  400. SharkeySure says:

  401. Nick says:

  402. wardo says:

  403. dennisdamenace says:

NEWSFLASH ******* Shock Horror Nick is a Ladyboy!! ********

  404. Nick says:

    DDM you bitch

  405. wardo says:

Nick…the other spurs fan you mention doesn;t say half the shit that BBK does.

I’ve said a few times that BBK probably a decent fella. But, if i were on a spuds site I’d enjoy winding them up some also….

  406. wardo says:

    Newsflash 2

*****DDM found out the “hard” way******

  407. B.B.K. says:

wardo that was a mighty fine guess, well done you should be very proud of your achievement,10 outta 10….

  408. Gunnersmith says:

Nick who’s the spud didn’t see one

  409. SharkeySure says:

Fair play Nick…love the puppy analogy

  410. wardo says:

cheers BBK……you can now change your name to Hamish and continue to blog.

Just be careful what you say bout my team.

    :D

  411. Nick says:

wardo his playing the long game then and the only one thats really took any notice is you.
after all this time thought he would have just fucked off, just put him down as an extremist in the fact that if he fears the worse anything but is a bonus to be honest i laugh when i look at his comments coz he gives me a bit of perspective in regards to its not that bad really  so he keeps me positive in around about way :?

  412. Nick says:

    wardo he loved it

  413. Arsenal Tom says:

atleast its his eye not his ankle, theyve got 2 full days to get him sorted, gallas will be ok

  414. Nick says:

GS tricky the flying spur or just tricky

  415. wardo says:

Nick……I know a property developer who found out the hard way in Paris. Somewhere that sounds like the Vor Doin…..

He was told to keep to the left to avoid lady B’s………he walked up there pissed staying over to the left. He walked to the end then turned and headed back. He stayed on the left…..obviously the side he should have been on was the right as he is now heading in the oposite direction………..

Needless to say, we slate him over and over and over bout it.

  416. Nick says:

atom at least we senderos if not

  417. B.B.K. says:

wardo i think you should alert geoff and pedro about me being a yid you must be well chuffed to have outted the jew.

  418. Nick says:

    wardo  bad times

  419. Nick says:

thats one conversion you wouldn’t want on your portfolio

  420. Arsenal Tom says:

nick, itll be even worse…. silvestre

  421. Nick says:

na his on the team sheet already at left back ;)

  422. wardo says:

more than a convo nick……..the quote is “I’m not sure. Could not tell”

hahaha – its so bad. The bloke has no shame !!

  423. B.B.K. says:

NAPLES — Ten North Naples Middle School students were suspended last week after district officials said they participated in “kick a Jew day.”

District Spokesman Joe Landon said a student told the dean of students at dismissal on Thursday that she was kicked because it was “kick a Jew day.”

  424. wardo says:

BBK -Trust you to know when its kick a 4 by 2 day !!

do you stay indoors for that one?

  425. Tommo says:

    Gents it’s been a pleasure.

I’m off, gotta be up at realfuckinearly o’clock to fly to Glasgow for a work thingy.

No doubt I’ll be celebrating our win over the chavs on Saturday.

    Cheers, later :-)

  426. Nick says:

    wardo
conversion = changing house to flat’s (change one to another) developers love doing that low outlay high in take

Portfolio= properties you own or have worked on (things you have done)

that was off the cuff stuff and fitted both angles you made me ruin it now :( ……

  427. B.B.K. says:

nah i go out with my star attached to my jacket, hoping to be kicked

  428. Franchise says:

    Munglersssss

  429. wardo says:

    haha Nick – missed it.

  430. Nick says:

FRANCHISE MISSSSSSSSED YER BUDDY HOW YOU BEEN??? ;grin:

  431. wardo says:

BBK – you are a depressing little sod.

    Bet you enjoy getting kicked……

  432. Nick says:

BBK stop rubbing round his legs you know he will kick ya ;)

  433. wardo says:

    hey Franchise….whats up?

  434. Honest Bill says:

    I reckon we’ll beat Chelsea 2-1.

Walcott with a brace, and Anelka with one. I read it in a sports almanac which was given to me by an old man who looked suspiciously familiar.

  435. wardo says:

    right – i’m off.

    have a good one all….

  436. B.B.K. says:

yeah wardo love it,nothing better then a good ol kicking

  437. Nick says:

Laters Wardo have a good one mate

  438. SharkeySure says:

    CHeers Wardo….

    Hey Fran…

New job not going so well judging by your absences from here. Or you just keeping yer head till your feet are well under the table..??

  439. Samir says:

    Tommo;
    Game is on Sunday mate!

  440. Nick says:

he didn’t know when we were playing he must be a spud :)

  441. Big Raddy says:

    Hope you are right HB.

BBK. It’s stopped being funny. I can take your misery as a Gooner, but this Spud stuff has to stop. As to the Jewish angle, it isn’t fuuny.

  442. Gunnersmith says:

some people don’t think so HB they think we’re in for a thrashing

  443. Samir says:

I agree with Goeff (or Pedro?) Micah Richards would be a brilliant buy.
He’s English and supports the Arse. In this case I would take him over both of Sakho or Subotic etc……
He can play both RB and CB.
Could our future Defence be; (After bedding him in)

    Sagna–Richards–Vermy–Gibbs

2 English players in there. Nice to see.

  444. Samir says:

    lol Nick.

  445. Nick says:

I like richards and would sign him up..his lost a bit recently but who wouldn’t under huges and his wallet style management..wenger could sort him out on and off the pitch imo

  446. SharkeySure says:

    Well said Raddy….

I played my part in the Spud stuff, but then stopped when I figured it had gone too far.

The other stuff is a little bit dodgy…even if the Spudz themselves use and abuse it

  447. Samir says:

He could be beast of a CB if he was with the right Team+Manager!

  448. SharkeySure says:

Richards would take a fair bit of ‘sorting out’ imho…

    Anyways …nite all…home time

  449. Nick says:

sharkey told ya, see buddy when you see things my way the world looks different :)

  450. Samir says:

    Cya Sharkey :)

  451. Franchise says:

SS its just been a week. The evil in me would soon be unleashed.

Nick im good how have you been. i wld try and cm on frequently i promise

i miss le grove like wo!

  452. Nick says:

Good times fran work must come first mate hows your pins all sorted (legs)

  453. Big Raddy says:

Horseface ?. The man certainly knows how to score. His record is amazing … probably the best in World football. (512 games – 324 goals!) Whether he still has the legs is another matter.

Richards. I think coming to London would be a disaster for him. Same as happened to Charlie ” I love a line and a laugh” Nicholas. We have just got rid of one mega-ego, and I don’t want another. Richards has looked poor in an average England team, and I would rather Hangeland (if we are to buy a CB).

  454. Nick says:

raddy dont fancy rvn playing for us at all cant stand him since utd good player in his day but thats gone and utd had it fish face is bad enough.
See what your saying with richards but think given a chance he could make it big time or we could sell him to brum or portsmouth for a profit then make more when they sell him to the bindippers or twatenham

  455. Big Raddy says:

Very true on both players Nick.

The Dippers will pay big for a Carragher replacement.

  456. Big Raddy says:

It wasn’t that boring a comment, was it?

  457. Mr B says:

What if we score the winner in the 93rd minute on sunday?

Both GoonerMichael and BBK will have heartattacks but for different reasons.

  458. Mr B says:

HB you wouldnt happen to be Mad Dog Bill Tannen now would u.

  459. Jaguar says:

    http://www.arsenalinsider.com/index.php/arsenal-news/1201-diabys-importance

Piece of crap.I thought it was a pretty decent blog.Bitches saying that the absence of Diabolical is the reason why we lost to Sunderland.Idiots.

  460. zeus says:

Erm, it seems there is a big question mark over Gallas because of a swollen eye? So I guess the question is, how does it it take for an eye swelling to go down.
The Cl game was 2 days ago for crying out load and we are still 3 days away from the game.

  461. zeus says:

I used to read arsenalinsider, but they have too many writers now and unfortunately not all are with talent for top quality blogging.

  462. SharkeySure says:

They might as well have started that article ‘Dear Jaguar’.

Cos its you they’re talking to.

You’re rabid dislike of an Arsenal player is pretty poor imho. I just couldn’t spend so much energy slating ANY Arsenal player.

You make it sound like he couldn’t get a game for your local Sunday Lge side…

He’s a decent player with faults, but he is improving.

Did you want Alex Song hung drawn and quartered last year..??

  463. Samir says:

I personally think Diaby would have made a difference against Sunderland.
He was due a good game and they are the type of games he steps up in….

  464. reggie57 says:

Never in a million years will AW sign Horseface, a man he labeled a cheat just tabloid gutter press!!

  465. Samir says:

    Horseface?

  466. reggie57 says:

Old Horseface has got more chance of running at Aintree than playing at the Emirates IMO!!!

  467. reggie57 says:

    R.Van Nistleroy

  468. Samir says:

    OMG lol.
    He truly is shit.

  469. Samir says:

    Past it.
    +Man U reject so F-him….

  470. Mr B says:

Im saddened to report that Arshavin is shoked.. but he vill be alghight.

Gallas is not comforteable at the moment, something to do with his contacts

  471. Mr B says:

Thanks for the suggestion samir but im not into beastality.

  472. Rob says:

    Hi guys

    Just a quick question

Does anybody here think that Vela is the great talent i think he is???

Does he deserve more first team chances????

    Thanks

  473. reggie57 says:

    Mr B shoked please explain?

  474. Stu says:

RVN and Richards? No to both. Richards isnt good enough as a rightback, let alone as a centreback. And Van Nistelrooy is past it. He is too slow and injury prone now to be a success in the prem again. He might to well for livershit tho because he will probably start most of their games.

  475. Rob says:

    Diaby is bollocks

I waited for 4 years to see the new Viera

And all i got was a guy who doesnt know when to pass, cant pass very well, is quite physical, injury prone, inconsistent and pops up with a useless goal when we are already way ahead….

Sorry guys, but that ship has sailed

  476. Stu says:

Rob, Diaby was never going to be the new Vieira. You just wasted 4 years waiting for that to happen.

  477. Samir says:

Arsenal have put youngster Kerrea Gilbert up for sale.

Defender Gilbert, 22, is in the final year of his contract at the Emirates and the Gunners will listen to offers.

He did well on loan at League One Leicester last season and has played twice this term in the Carling Cup for Arsenal.

Arsenal want cash for Gilbert in January, but Championship strugglers Peterborough are interested in taking him on loan now.

  478. Samir says:

    Good riddance he is crap.
Should have left a long time ago!

  479. Rob says:

    Yeh i figured

But he is not good enough for Arsenal

At least when things were against Nik, he worked and worked and came OK

I dont rate Diaby as anything

Now i rate Nik as a decent front man who may not have the quality to make it at Arsenal, but can play in the premier league

  480. A says:

Diaby and Bendtner are both very much good enough for us. Neither are going to single handedly win a league, but both are good squad players in any team in the world!

  481. Stu says:

Gilbert should have gone years ago. 22 and still a reserve. Has he no shame?

Bendtner is more than good enough for us. He would have been perfect to play during VPs injury. Shame he got injured himself.

  482. Rob says:

    Ok fair enough

I need to see more of an end product and more read of play from him, but Nik could be good, he has done enough to show us some potential

I never said either would single-handedly win the league!!!

Diaby is not good enough, what he ever done???

Compare him to song this season, not a scratch on him

  483. Rob says:

    What about Vela???

What is the general opinion of him on here?

  484. colonel mustard says:

my heart says we will be beat chelsea BUT we all know we will need AT LEAST two to win…..

  485. Gunnersmith says:

Facts and figures ahead of our clash with Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium.

Chelsea’s win in May 2009 was Arsenal’s worst home defeat in Premier League history and the worst home league defeat since March 5, 1977 when they lost 4-1 at home to Ipswich Town.

Didier Drogba has scored eight goals in his last eight appearances in all competitions against Arsenal.

In the last 11 meetings between Chelsea and Arsenal, Drogba has played eight times and Chelsea have won seven and drawn one. In his absence in three games, Arsenal have won two and Chelsea none.

The Gunners have only been able to win two of their last 14 competitive matches against Chelsea.

Nicolas Anelka has scored seven goals in his last nine Premier League starts against Arsenal.

Chelsea were the last team to win at the Emirates while Arsenal were the last team to win at Stamford Bridge.

Arsenal have won just four of the last 19 league meetings with main rivals Aston Villa, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United or Tottenham.

Manuel Almunia has kept just one clean sheet in seven Premier League appearances this season.

Since Andrei Arshavin joined Arsenal, he has started 20 Premier League games winning 14 and losing only one – but the Gunners have lost three of the five games where he hasn’t started.

Chelsea are the only team in the Premier League who have not drawn a match this season.

Michael Essien has received more passes than any other player in the Premier League this season, 672.

  486. A says:

Yeah Rob, Diaby hasn’t won any games single handedly, but has played a very important role in us being through in the champions league and up there in the league. Song has been one of our best players imo, Diaby has been a good player who’s given us balance, and contributed to team performances.

Vela is very talented, but his development has been massively stifled by his international duties and injuries, if he stays fit and available now he could be a very important player f or us.

  487. Rob says:

When we play Chelsea , we win games through defense and not attack

Even in the FA cup last year, we had a bazillion chances (that should have been scored)

But we would have won if it wasnt for diabolical goalkeeping from Fab

2 goals needed, but the game will be won in defense, can we hold Drogba and Anelka…..

  488. Gunnersmith says:

Not a very good record against the chav is it

  489. A says:

goalkeeping fro Fabianski, and poor defending from eboue and silvestre all equally to blame imo Rob. The league game last year we tore them apart in the first half hour, looked like we could hammer them, then got battered!

  490. Rob says:

Im going to have to agree to disagree over Diaby

Hope he comes good though :)

As for Vela, for me is a world class talent. He just needs games.

    Wenger said it himself

I think he could be an impact sub on Sunday

Can Eduardo really lead the line?

    Maybe play this

    —-Manuel
    -Sagna—–Willy G (is he fit?)–Tom V—-Silvestre
    ———————–Song
    ————–Fabregas———–Nasri
    –Rosicky/Vela–Edu/Vela——Arshavin

  491. B.B.K. says:

    them stats are bollocks

  492. B.B.K. says:

winning just 4 of the last 19 meetings with the main rivals that is very poor

  493. B.B.K. says:

id like to see the stats before 2004

  494. A says:

Rob Denilson will definitely play, he’ll give us much more balance than anyone else would.

    It’ll be

    Almunia

    Sagna Gallas Vermy Traore

    Cesc Song Denilson

    Nasri/Rosicky/Theo Eduard/Vela Arshavin

I reckon 9 of the players are cemented in, unless gallas doesn’t make it of course, and then it’s just the other two front men who play with arshavin

  495. Rob says:

Well BBK those stats look like turning themselves around, i mean its not like we

Are missing our best striker, attacker and Mr arsenal

Will play Edu, a striker who appears to be rusty having missed at least one 1 on 1 in each of his last 3 games

    Might me missing Gallas

    And are missing Clichy

Did i mention the fact that they are full strength??

But hey, im not gonna be pessimistic :)

    We could surprise them

  496. colonel mustard says:

betting on Drogba to score against us is unfortunately money for old rope…w

  497. Rob says:

A, one thing im not sure on

Now Song is cemented and playing brilliantly as an anchor, what would Denilson’s role be???

Seeing as Nasri is twice the player he is out wide when played in the middle, as he doesnt give us any width

  498. A says:

His role will be exactly as it was against Liege Rob, playing deeper than Song, reading the game and covering the spaces behind giving Song freedom to use his power to break the play further up the pitch.

  499. Gunnersmith says:

B.B.K surely it poor but we’ll make it right on sunday ;-)

  500. Rob says:

    OK

I think he deserves a chance after a good performance the other day

I think that Vela is giving Eduardo a run for his money when it comes to that starting place on Sunday

Walcott needs to up his game, players like Vela and Bendtner will begin to leave him behind if hes not careful

  501. Stu says:

Denilson will be like a sweeper in midfield.

  502. A says:

yeah thats a good description stu

  503. A says:

    http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/26112009/58/premier-league-traore-facing-tattoo-surgery.html

Traore being more religious might have something to do with his apparent improved discipline?! Certainly did wonders with Anelka!

  504. colonel mustard says:

denilson would’nt sweep the back yard.

  505. AA23 says:

Lawrenson and Hanson have both predicted a draw so at least we know there will be a winner on Sunday.

  506. Maksud says:

Is anyone else bothered that we have won just four of the last 19 league meetings with Aston Villa, Chelsea, Liverpool, City, United and Tottenham?

  507. ethangunner says:

    maksud

yes history is a bitch !
and quite possibly could repeat again ..
in fact its odds on based on those figures .

i think this clash will define the season 4 us, we win it we will get the confidence we need .I personally feel it will only highlight that we are missing 2 experienced strikers ..

you will only need to watch anelka or drogba to get what i mean !

and they will be the difference ..
as they so often are in these close games ..
and the type of signing we’ve been missing since the DB10 and th14 days ..

we need a top class striker who can beat a top class defense . that was the problem with ade , he was never clinical enough when against stiff competiton .

theo – vela – cesc – AA – rosicky ALL have potential to score so including all in the line-up would be an advantage .

    maybe TV as striker :)

While doing a quick search for some statistics for the upcoming Arsenal V Chelsea game on Sunday I came across an article on the official Chelsea website that attacked Arsene Wenger’s professionalism.

This is part of what was written

In a media conference after that defeat the Arsene Wenger revealed a hitherto concealed grasp of Anglo-Saxon, using a word for which lesser mortals (Didier Drogba) have been banned.

His unprofessional reaction came in response to suggestions that his players will aim to be fit for next summer’s World Cup. No doubt there was even more effing and blinding after England hopeful Kieran Gibbs was crocked again against Standard, adding to a lengthy injury list. Robin van Persie, Gael Clichy, Johan Djourou, Abou Diaby and Nicklas Bendtner were already ailing.

Now you expect sly little digs like that from sites like this or blogs or the tabloids but not from the official website.

Once clubs start going down that road against opponents managers it will open up the flood gates and in fact the whole article was a terrible twist on facts and subtle digs at Arsenal and their season to date.

I also liked this line from the same article

A lot was made of last weekend, without the top-scoring Dutchman and Bendtner, being the first blank Arsenal have fired all season, but their problems lie at the other end. Arsenal have conceded 15, the same as Stoke and Fulham, only four fewer than Pompey, and almost twice Chelsea’s total.

All well and good until you look in to away stats which is required considering Chelsea are the away team, I mean they never did mention that 7 of the 8 Chelsea goals conceded came away from home, they never mentioned that is one less than Stoke and only four fewer than Pompey.

They also never mentioned that Chelsea have lost 33% of their away games in the league while Arsenal have won 100% of their league home games.

Point is, that article and I remind you again it was on their official website twisted facts and attacked Wengers professionalism, this from the team that brought Jose Mourinho to these shores.

Seems to us that Chelsea need to have a look at themselves and what is published on their official website before they attack anyone else of being unprofessional.

Hows it going all, been outa action for a bit.

Geoff, I just read your post. I’ve gotta say, I fear that Dogpoo &/or anelka have a goal in them, so we must score some. We have 2 keys to unlock the chavs, Theo & AA23, running @ them, etc. I’ve just got this feeling that eduardo on the end of some of runs out wide could be the thing that tilts this fixture The Arsenal’s way. Combine that with Mozart & Nascar, with Cesc covered by everyones favourite DCM Sing-a- we might just do it. We have to do it, its as simple as that. No points from a possible 6 or even one point(I’m including the Sunderland fizzer)will spell doom IMHO

I see anelka has come out & said winning The Title with the chavs would be sweeter than the 1998 Arsenal Title.

I think that’s because he only really played half the season GG9.
Apparently, he scored six goals in 26 League appearances (including ten as a sub) in the 97/98 season.

  513. chozzer says:

Oh, and because he’s a twat.

Funny it doesn’t mention anything about his families activities. His mum can be used to sponsor shop security, and his dad can be made the face of an anti-drug campaign

    lol Inside

Best piece of skill Diaby has ever shown was his kick to the face of the England Captain (Bobby Moore must be turning in his grave)

I like Diaby for no reason other than that …….
