For fu*ks sake the world cup is in June, you cannot be serious!

by & filed under Uncategorized.

That little outburst was not from me, but from our Gallic manager when asked if Theo would be going to South Africa, good going boss, that’s the spirit!

Onto January signings he went on to say ‘Why would Bordeaux sell Numbchucks for a million euros?’

More to the point, why would we only offer a million? If he was worth a bid in the summer, Arsene must rate him, if he is free to go in the summer, and he’s that good, then every other big team will be in for him and they will all offer him more that we would or indeed could.

So why on earth would we not go in and offer them £5m, they’d bite our hands off and we’d get a good squad player for very little, good business if you ask me, plus we get a much needed top class player that’s fit.

In other news Song has extended his contract until 2015, so any thoughts you may have had about a new DM have now gone, he is the one that Wenger wants. I wish my boss would give me a 6 year contract, he won’t though because he’s a tight bastard, If only Wenger ran my company!

Cesc has said ‘why not’ to finishing his career at the Arsenal, good for you Cesc, that’s the way to deal with the Barca crap, that should shut them up for a few weeks, yeah right!

Andre Arshavin says Wenger should spend big in the January window and if it upsets a few youngsters, then that’s fair, if we want to win the league, we need some world class players, Andre, I can’t disagree with that my friend. Ha, ha, I bet he gets dropped for saying that!

Onto tonight, the European game where we can qualify for the next stage, the game where I expect to see a few experiments in team selection for the chav game this weekend, tonight’s selection will be interesting.

Yes I know he wants to give Vela a run, and that I applaud, but we have a lot of young forwards that get injured a lot, what we need is a few options up front that don’t get injured so often. We’ve had Bendtner, Theo, Robin, Vela, Eduardo and even Arshavin injured this season, so I don’t think we would have selection issues, do you?

All we need is a point tonight, all three and we go forward as winners of the group, I think that also helps with our ranking points, so all to play for, I just hope we don’t treat this as an exhibition game, I hope we can better the spuds score and send out a message, so I’m going to break with tradition and predict a 10-1 result, I’ll give them one because it wouldn’t be the same if we didn’t concede.

I have a feeling he may give Eastmond an airing tonight, either that or we’ll see Denilson back and he’ll rest Song so he’ll be fit for the chavs on Sunday.

Talking of the spuds, I always thought we should have had a look at Defoe when he was at West Ham, bit of a gamble, but he is a gooner, but not to have had a sniff when he was leaving Portsmouth was a little careless, he does know where the goal is doesn’t he?

We also need to show we can score goals with a short forward line and given the shit the players got from Saturday’s debacle, I expect them to come out the blocks on fire.

Here’s my team for tonight.

Mannone

Eboue, Senderos, Vermaelen, Gibbs

Rosicky Denilson/Eastmond, Cesc

Walcott, Arshavin, Vela

With Eduardo, Nasri and Ramsey making up the bench.

Two great things came out of yesterday, one was Cesc told Barca very politely to fuck off, and Wenger told the World cup hopefuls to remember who pays them, good advice and further proof if you needed it that Wenger does indeed read Le Grove.

Have a great day Grovers, tonight we show the world that we really are true contenders.

  2. izham

i know i’m gonna get a lot of stick from u guys for saying this..

Song playing very well today, always there to make the challenges, win tackles and distribute quickly..he looks class playing against lesser teams, he still needs to put prove himself against the big boys..against world class players hwo will he fare??

maybe dat’s what Geoff and Nick sees in him..

  3. mike

fab was fired up for a while before that came to a head.

hopefully the yellow will be cancelled before any important games

  4. dennisdamenace

What a petulant little wanker, if i was his club captain i’d slap him up in front of his team mates in the dressing room after the game….

  5. mike

well guys a comfortable win with some nice touches at times.

    have a good night.

    i’m off to watch murray.

oh classic sky are showing gerrard and the dippers watching the end of fiorentina put them out!

  6. zeus

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Liverpool out. I have confidence vs any continental team, its the english scum that we have shown problems with. They’ve all knocked us out in recent years.

  7. izham

lol…liverpoool r out they deserved to be…watched gerrard’s face and saw his disappointment was priceless..the liverpool players were watching the game between fioretina and lyon..and were they nervous

  8. tomstoned

give Walcott a break all he needs is get his head straight again..great team effort…nobody plays better than us when we click…just imagine we will keep gettin better and better..

BigRaddy….go easy on the Wife mate…;)

  9. Geoff

Izham, I was there, he was ordinary, fuck me there were many other players that were top. top, stop banging on about a very pedestrian player.

  10. tomstoned

and im convinced that this would have been a perfect evenin for Bendtner……sad really that he’s injured …he could have used this game ..

  11. Tariq

Are YOU blind??? I watched the match along with a Bayern Munich fan and he admitted to me that Song was the best player on the pitch. I just had a Chelsea supporter call me and he said Song was MOTM! Stop being such a fucking hater and admit for once Song was outstanding.

  12. Big Raddy

Why should I take it easy on the wife Tom.

She has to pay the piper ………

Geoff. Song had a great game tonight, admittedly against poor opposition.

  13. tomstoned

    Tariq mate…

Song was immense….no doubt..Geoff have very special take on him thats all…the rest of Us know Song is world class…

    tom

  14. izham

i know where u coming from Geoff..nasri, arshavin and vela all played well and so did Song..however u got to agree he did win the tackles and challenges with the odd mistakes here and there..but he did what was aked of him and just edged it..

as i said he looks good against lesser team..how will he fare agianst the world class players?? that’s the question to be asked..and will be answered in the game against Chelsea..

  15. gazzap

really worried about gibbs. that injury looked concerning at the end. it always happens in stoppage time. I dont think Traore is in the same class as Gibbs.
    I reckon Gallas will recover.

be interesting to see who plays in midfield on sunday. I hope its rosicky. surpirsed to see Nasri taken off – i wonder if that means he starts against the chavs? might not since it is 5 days to sunday, so subs might not have anything to do with next match.

  16. izham

    guys,

to call Song a world class player is way off the mark,a good above average player is most accurate..he do well agianst weaker opponents, how will he fare against world class players??

next game against chavs will be the yard stick..if he can outshine Essien and continue to improve and be consistent that will i declare him a world class player..fair enough??

  17. SUGA3

‘…I think my sat-nav is broken, everytime I type in Liverpool, it says OUT OF EUROPE? Any quick fixes?…’

    mwahahahahahaha

  18. tomstoned

with the steps forward both Denilson and Sogn has taken this season its quite remarkable….Vela too…add to that Wilshere…and Ramsey seems to be gettin it right….Bendtner..well in my book he is slowly but surely coming along too….i can understand Wenger’s hesitation in buying….but there is a dilemma…why let a couple of years go by without winning just to save a few bucks….then again..if Wenger want to buy now…well at least he have the cash….soon he will have in bundles…in my book we should give the youngsters this season to see what we can achieve…go you Gunners..:)

    tom

  19. Cameroon Goon

What a great win for the boys. Song is really taking his game to a new stratosphere. I thought Vela looked lively up front, too. Song was definitely motm.

  20. goonermichael

Should we have a minutes silence for the death of liverpools CL dream. Nah fuck it lets rip the piss out of the fucking wankers

  21. zeus

Why does Geoff NEVER give Song some credit. If Song name comes up Geoff slates him WITHOUT FAIL. Not saying he is world class, but give credit where its do. Saying shit like your judging him based on PV04 is also ridiculous because if you judge the best of them against his standards the likes of Essien and Yaya Toure would also be put to shame.
Whenever Geoff makes a post he is always going on & on & on & on about players who we should bring in Mutudi, “Numchucks”, Sakho, Subotic and although I can’t be sure I would bet my mortgage on the fact that you have not seen any of them play 10 games. Just calm down dude. Its either we should buy this player or we should rest our hopes on Ramsey and Wilshire to win us the league.
Its Okay to say Song had a good game sometimes as well, it won’t kill you.

  22. tomstoned

    Suga3…

its not broken mate…seems to me that your sat-nav is top notch..a miracle navigator…type manciteh and all you will get is arab channels…
    hehe
    tom

  23. tomstoned

    Zeus mate…

its just opinions …i think the most of us have seen Song become a great great player…and in my eyes world class ..and at that age :) its remarkable..not often we see players mature in the way Song has..

    tom

  24. eboue

i finished the whole pizza from pizza hut i cant even move now. geoff its ok to be jealous of songs ability on the ball.

  25. maurya

Song was amazing for quite some time. He is the stand out performance against Sunderland also. He is playing very well away games also.

  26. Ooby

Yep all Song did have a good game alright. He stood out for me. Not sure about Denilsson improving yet as not played enough to show that yet this season, for me

  27. SUGA3

Denilson had a few dangerously misplaced passes, but otherwise OK, but he may not do so well without Song around him…

    however

    What. A. Fucking. Goal.

  28. Ooby

I see Geoff can called some people Song lovers for expressing positive opinions about him but cannot call Geoff a hater for expressing the opposite. hmmm

  29. Gunnersmith

Yeah SharkeySure he was everywhhere i really loved his performance tonight hope he continues that against better oppositions tho
