I’m glad we’re not facing Roy Keane today, I love him now!

by & filed under Uncategorized.

Really he’s the only person who’s come out and said to the FAI, get over it, that’s the spirit. Perhaps we should ask UEFA for a replay against Liverpool when Babel went down for a penalty, or ask for the FA cup back when Henchoz handballed it when we lost to them in Cardiff.

All any of the commentators talk about that day was Owen skinning Adams and Dixon.

If we could get one of those games replayed we might have won the European cup, paid off the stadium and had a lot more local kids supporting Arsenal.

Watch the Liverpool game today, I’ll bet you there are a minimum of 10 incidents of cheating, go on count them, and I mean, gaining yards at throw ins, claiming corners that weren’t, claiming goal kicks that weren’t, faking injury, getting away with fouls, being offside and shaking their fingers at the ref, fouling someone and putting their hands up and saying they didn’t.

All the above is cheating and no worse that what Henry did, you can’t say I’m not a murderer because I only murdered one person, cheating is cheating no matter what you did, you can’t only cheat a bit, remember that when you watch today’s live game.

Onto today and the Sunderland game, we will probably rest Gallas and Sagna, as they played extra time on Wednesday, I expect to have Robin back leading the line and as he has has horse placenta injected, I also expect an increase in pace, we’ll see.

So at the back I think it will be Eboue, Senderos, Vermaelen, Silvestre.

In the middle I expect Rosicky, Song and Cesc and up front Arshavin, Eduardo and Nasri with Theo, Wilshere, Denilson, and Ramsey on the bench.

Diaby won’t play as he is injured otherwise he would have played up front and I’m putting Rosicky in the midfield but I wouldn’t be a bit surprised to see Denilson in there partnering Song.

With players like Walcott, Nasri, Rosicky, Ramsey and Wilshere available, it could be a very exciting team, but with players like Denilson and Eboue around it could be a very average team too, I think the chance for Wenger to have Eboue, Denilson and Song all on at the same time may be too much for him to resist, I hope to god I’m wrong, but we’ll find out soon enough.

Either way we need to win today, do that and next week’s showdown could be fantastic, especially if Wolves can get a point against the chavs.

Don’t forget to share your links for todays game nice and early, enjoy today Grovers, it’s a big one, and it’s a game we ought to win.

Wow, it’s getting fierce in here.

My two pence on that pathetic lost was all of our attacking players had an awful game. The ever reliable rosicky and nasri who before this seldom misplace any passes were both ok in the first half but in the second half both were caught ball watching and misplace quite alot of passes. Sagna and fabregas looked knackered and Traore has never impressed me as a left back.

And I think we will miss RVP more than just his goals and he’s overall play. RVP ,being Mr Arsenal this season, always plays with passion and aggression. Sometimes you can see how rvp gets angry to any arsenal player when they don’t pass the ball to him or misplace a pass. At least it shows that he cares and really wants to win. Just now, it looked like no one really cared.

  2. Marko

I’m a cunt and you’re a very reasonable human being who’s right all the time. Is that ok for you Samir? Can we go on with our lifes now.

  3. Micky Did It 89

A very bad day is about to get a whole lot worse. I’m staring down the barrel of pizza and X fucking factor with the children while the missis buggers off.
    So fucking cheer up

  4. izham

maybe should propose to Geoff and Pedro that whoever call someone names needs to be banned..lay out your points and argue cleanly..if u wanna disagree just keep debating and stop with the bitching

  5. ManGoonian

    Wonderboy; Hahaha! Quality…

Right you pathetic clueless cunts! Im the daddy here and dont you forget it! My opinion is the bestest and My knowledge of Arsenal and all things football is great too…

And I am dead hard, not in the sense like Wonderboy! But I is tuff as old boots!

Right, glas thats settled, Im off to get drunk…

    Laters

  6. DutchMaster10

One bad result and we go back to slagging off Wenger. Seriously I almost cried at full time but does that make me want to slag the team off? No! Why? Cos I support my team, win or lose. Some of you lot are a REAL embarrassment! The league is not won nor lost in November! Gat a grip! It’s not as if we didnt create chances to win the game today. Losing RVP not only took our most inform player out of the side but means that we need Eddie to get used to playing that role. It took RVP a good few games. Show a bit of faith in the boys, we can beat the Chavs next week. STOP moaning and bringing our players down. MUGS.

  7. David

No penetration….No direct players always shifting from side to side…it was crab-like with the extra flavor of Sagna Crosses.

    Keyser – Replying? Or Blogging?

And if im replying what the fuck do you call it when you type “David -………”

    And hit Submit comment?

  8. Pat

RVP also gives us urgency. He has passion and heart, unlike some of the other twats on the team. I’m losing patience with Arshavin. 1 good CL game this season, thats it.

We just need to work harder if we want to win and Eduardo needs to realize he was bought to score goals. He’s missed too many sitters

  9. David

I dont mind us losing. IF we learn from the loss. And im talking players, management, etc, etc…

However how many times have we talked about learning from conceding “late” goals and keeping clean sheets?

  10. Kreshnik

    What’s done is done.
Barca last year lost a good share of games, but everytime managed to come up stronger, and usually in a short time. We did that against both Manchesters and if we manage to do the same against chelshit I’m totally seeing the title in sight. Let’s beat Liege, regain the spirit, and grow some character to our game, cuz we’re definitely missing no skill.

  11. Pat

David, I don’t think its the end of the world. We were denied a blatent pen and were the better team.

I’d be much more worried if Sunderland overran us like they did to United at OT, Liverpool.

Liege up next. Lets get back in the groove and beat Chelsea next weekend. We are more than capable.

  12. Emperor Gooner

it’s ok…sunderland away is gonna b tough for any team..we’ve already seen that….now let’s hope we emerge stronger from this and more importantly that everton score now!!

  13. goonermichael

    Pedro
How were we? I’ve been working so haven’t seen anything. People calling each other cunts don’t make me over confident I’ll get a fair reflection of the game

  14. Emperor Gooner

    the twat js scored,,fuk it!!!

y on earth do we get a tough away match after the break while all the others get home!!

  15. leon

fans need to get things into perspective alot of players were very tired it was not there best performance but we were away from home and the only real shot they had on goal was corner and they got a lucky goal, they still had enough chances to get a point and i think that would have been a fair result, but to say after this game the title race is done and dusted is far from the case and there is little dought chelsea are going drop points,we are looking extremly strong at home and dispite the loss they still should very confident as they are still very strong

  16. goonermichael

The mancs always roll over shit teams David. Everton have 1 good year then 1 bad year. They are shite this year.

  17. zeus

I was so fucking gutted by the result that I just went on Justin.tv and watched new moon.

I don’t know what was worst’ the result or this high school movie. After so long w/out my fix I feel like I want my life back.

  18. Emperor Gooner

gm , they do but only at home..away they’re vulnerable too…our first half schedule is much tougher than the mancs n chavs and i’d say we’ve done fairly well

  19. Emperor Gooner

nah gm ..not really..out of their 13 games i think theyve playd 8 home and that’s rlly making a difference this season considering the fact that refs are easily givin into pressure more than ever now a days

but yah they are the main threat to the title theres no doubt about that .however , i feel , now , with all these intnl breaks gone , is the begining of a very crucial phase in the league

  20. Gunnersmith

We had a real penalty shout at the last minute and the cunt ref waved play on on replay it was no doubt a penalty as vela had the ball well on his feet do we request for a replay?

  21. zeus

Where did you see the replay of the penalty. Cunts made sure not to show it after the game, and Alan wiley……..Alan F-ing Wiley pffffffffff

  22. Pat

We’re only 2 pts. better off this season than we were last season at this point.

Look how much stupid fucking points this team drops. Its not Wenger’s fault anymore. We have a bunch of fucking chokers out there.

    West Ham A
    UNited A
    City A
    Sunderland A

I’ve lost faith with Eduardo. He has missed too many sitters for a “poacher”.

Arshavin rarely ever performs away from home

  23. gazzap

I am not throwing my toys out of the pram on that game. a lot of things went against us today. bad fixture list luck (furthest PL trip after the 2 week break), should have had a penalty, Sunderland hardly created anything but scored from a set piece (got to sort that out).

OK I accept a few players were below average but I dont think its the end of the world. I felt united and West Ham game results were far worse.
what it does do is put huge pressure on the chelsea game. those 3 points are imperative. without a win next week, I honestly think it would put the title beyond us, barring a complete chelsea implosion, which doesn’t seem likely.
I always thought we needed to beat the chavs next week regardless of the sunderland result and I was actually just predicting a draw today – I knew it was a tough game at a difficult time. so we dropped 1 point. Lets just make that point up somewhere else down the line – maybe we can beat Liverpool at Anfield this season for example.

  24. Maksud

I really wish i could be positive like some of you. But think about it, we are now 8 points of the top. Even if we beat Chelsea and win our game in hand we will be two points off. Now you can argue that Chelsea won’t go the rest of the season unbeaten so we’ll catch them. But by the looks of today neither will we. It’s not being pessimistic, its being realistic.

  25. Pat

If we win out game in hand, we’re level on pts with United. So all you are saying United can’t win it either. Remember, they haven’t had any big injury concerns yet.

Rio is shit, so don’t even think about mentioning him.

  26. reggie57

Totally devastated that we lost to a 2nd rate team today
AW is too blame for this due to his stubboness in the transfer market (i believe in this team bollox) sorry arsene i dont? too light weight in attack defense midfield you cant rely on players that have got question marks whether they can last a full league campaign, a couple of signings would have been all that was needed now next week is a must win game against the chavs all you have done is put added pressure on yourself and the team.

  27. Franchise

reggie like u said if we dont win the league wenger wld have himself to blame

so far the team has exceeeded expectations to be honest but lets see what happens at the end

    judge in may

  28. choy

maksud.. chavs have lost to wigan away..

there is plenty of time… we always play like shite after any international break, and the next one is in march.

    keep the faith ..

  29. choy

pat… how many games did rvp take to score?

I think this is his first start in the PL as a main striker, eddie will come good.

  30. DutchMaster10

I love reading this blog. In fact I don’t even bother to read others now because this site is usually enough of a ‘gooner’ fix for my day. I do of course from time to time disagree with what Geoff or Pedro have to say, but the majority of the time I do agree with what they say.

However some of the comments left by ‘SO CALLED’ gooners is a real turn off. I mean some of these ‘SO CALLED’ fans are not fans at all. I mean yeah we have some marmite players, but even if you hate an arsenal player where is it going to get you slating him/them every day?

PAT: If you are not going to support the lads then go buy a copy of one of our double winning DVD’s. Watch it every night after work and just pretend we are winning the double every day. You are an IDIOT.

  31. brian

im talking as an arsenal fan who goes to every away game and an ireland fan who was in paris

At the end of the day henry cheated. we can go on about all the other times players have cheated in games, but two wrongs dont make a right, henry was a great footballer and sportsman but on wed night in paris he did wrong, maybe he should have offered a replay straight after the game. the only reason he has offered a replay is because he wants to save face. i so wish henry didnt cheat as he has been one of my heros, but he let him self down on wed night, what has happened the the arsenal henry?

  32. reggie57

    Dutchmaster10

The whole point of this blog is for the fans to air there views some are radical, some are not read what it says on the banner the blog where you can have a opinoin, not get one.
    enuff said!!

  33. Lou

Reggie. I am disappointed obviously but I’ll wait and see how the team react over the next couple of weeks before I get too down about things. If I didn’t I”d be up and down like a yoyo. I watched the game live at the Emirates and thought Sunderland set out for a draw. I thought we were the better team but didn’t get it together on the day. Perhaps Rosicky, Nasri and Traore are all short of games. Perhaps the International break had an effect. As Wenger says, with football you get a chance to put things right pretty quickly so personally I won’t get too down quite yet. Having said that, I do understand the feelings of others.

  34. reggie57

Only a third of the season gone and we have lost 3 games already we are playing catchup football to the chavs who in all honestly dont look like losing too many games this season, who was it that said they are a ageing squad with old players etc, etc, total bullshit!!

  35. zeus

    @ PAT
Saw u trying to reason with cunts with sub human intelect on Republik of Cuntonia. Youre nothing more than a pleasure for pain.

  36. gnarleygeorge9

A lot of analysis of the game will be detailed on here but, in short what went wrong is that The Arsenal give away a goal a game, & that is what happened again. So until this problem is remedied where as much emphasis is placed on keeping clean sheets as scoring from wonderfull build ups, The Arsenal will not win the PL.

This was a game that had to be a clean sheet. & no blame can be put on “marmite” players coz the only one out there was Song & he was very good IMO.

Mozart, I luv ya mate but, but you were as loose as Kate Moss wearing Dawn French’s undies during the infamous set piece, & it cost.

Until, highly skilled attackers are played who have a regimented defence to their game when required, this sort of result will happen again, & again.

I am not surprised by the result, I could see this happening. But I luv The Arsenal. Why wouldn’t I.

  37. SUGA3

    evening ladies & gents ;)

quite disappointed with to day’s performance, but hey, if we beat Chav scum in a week, all will be forgiven as far as I am concerned…

Song was our MVP hands down – good game and luckily did not get a booking…

Traore is not a LB, period – I would rather play Silvestre there: he got caught out of possession too many times due to not tracking back…

we played OK, I hope we will spank Liege and get some confidence out of this…

and oh, found this on the web (vinyl is on its way to me already):

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OiNpGYlO3n8

possible replacement for ‘The Wonder of You’?

    Pat Says:
    November 21, 2009 at 17:36

ethan, United can’t beat SUnderland at home. We lost away being the better team, unlike United

And you said RVP won’t score goals. Stop changing your words, we all remember
    ———————————
i didnt say RVP wouldnt score goals !
WHAT A LOAD OF SHIT !

i said he is a point and shoot striker who needs service or interplay to score and he sure as shit didnt score when playing with ade the greedy ball hugging hippie !

what i did say about him was given his injury
history we can HARDLY RELY ON HIM ALL SEASON so buy another striker arsene
    (same goes for dudu)!

but pat oh please tell me when i said he was shit !

because RVP is the only striker i rate out of our current crop because i have seen him preform in the past ! (mainly with TH14)and this season ….

    GG

your dead right … we will always conceded with our style of attacking play, what let us down again was our front men being ineffective again !
our inability to finish as we lack experience in that category (especially when the goals are tight to come by)

last nights game hi-lights WHY i said we need a striker of quality in the off season !

vela or theo need to step up big time !

  39. SUGA3

I could see our players were knackered after the fucking internationals…

Theo should have started, being the rested man, he was occupying two or three players at once, creating loads of space, which would be exploited by players better in the beginning IMO…

  40. gnarleygeorge9

Suga no height on the night; no one to hold the ball up front; but they hold their line for offside. Has Big Tone been showing them ;) a thing or 2

    More height in January.

  41. hartwick89

I waited a couple of hours before facing the drama that will ensue with this defeat. Arsenal followers are just that! Dramatic….As well we should be because we are attacked and criticicized always…I enjoy defeats like papercuts or sunburn or death itself. But, I always love my team and am grateful for what pleasures I get 95% of the time! Should Rosicky scored? Of course! Should Eduardo have scored to answer the The RVP stupidity? Yes! Should Vermenator have won the first head ball that bent won and miraculously got a lucky give and go to score. Of course! I knew when all of this played out the way it did we would eventually lose….But, let’s not be so damning with this season..Let’s cerebralize things causing the setbacks of this game. Start with the positives: Traoure for one. He is massive in my opinion! He has more skill than both Gibbs and Clichy at the moment. His potential I would say is equal to or greater than the best left backs in the league currently Oh by the way have played consistently game in and game out this season. Alex Song is playing massive proving all critics wrong…Gallas continues to be massive as well! And, Almunia is just solid…What about Eduardo just clicks from scoring yet another goal in another game; His runs and what he does is equivalent to the best chess players that have ever played. The setbacks at the moment are very little in my eyes other than the win…Give credit where it is due. Sunderland were very good today which I believe was the reason they won! Bent was amazing today. He bullied our defense in both ends of the field. He got his reward when he scored. Cana was also a contributing factor in the win. Look at what was new in this game; Our whole lineup was new and was different from what I have seen this season. I believe though we should have won and we would have won “ugly” if a bit of luck was on our side!

  42. GoonerGod

I risk abuse, but hey.. My opinion counts…
    Eduardo is not fit enough….
Have we any other strikers? Erm…. NO!
So our attack is based on Eduardo (recovering from broken leg), Nasri (as above), Rosicky (broken everything), Walcott (as above I suppose)!
Arshavin, who I love, just always looks tired!
Get fricking Eboue in there… He always gives 100%.
Eboue oooh, Eboue oooh, he comes from Africa, he’s better than Kaka!
Honestly, it’s a sad day when Song and Eboue are you’re best players!

  43. Pat

Stop bashing me you fucks. You know who you are! I was one of the optimists at the start of the season, still am. We made Chelsea a must win game now that we lost to SUnderland. We were the better team. I don’t know why people are sayng Sunderland deserved it. Since when does a team that tries harder deserve it? We were better. Better chances, better play, better overall. Shame we lost

  44. Sensible Opinion

Fact One: Roy Keane walked out on his country at a World Cup finals and admitted deliberately going out to hurt players. Fact Two: Thierry Henry will forever be known around the football world as an out and out cheat with his outrageous double handball goal assist. Two classic examples of the hypocrisy and immorality of the mercenary modern day footballer. I rest my case.

  45. Sharky

Arsenal yesterday were a little bit like sex lately, the foreplay was good but there was no real penetration when the hole was gaping, then a big black guy came along and fucked us up the arse………..enuff said
