Is there a doctor in the house? I mean a real one? Oi,Thierry didn’t hand ball it.

by & filed under Uncategorized.

First of all Robin the boy wonder is out for the season and we had to live with that all weekend, then came the really good news that world cup hopeful Keiran Gibbs had broken his ankle and we’ve had two day to feel sick about that too.

Then we find out Robin will be back in six weeks and Keiran will be back for the chav game next week, so does anyone out there in the world of footballing injuries know what they are talking about? I make that 4 days of seeing my season go down the shitter only to be told ‘April fool’ sucker.

At least we got away with what could have been a nasty situation, we should tell UEFA it’s ManU’s turn next time, I’m sick of it.

Thierry Henry is getting dreadful stick for a hand balling incident yesterday, well it clearly wasn’t hand ball in my eyes, juggling maybe, but not hand ball, the thing is the Irish have had 2 years to qualify, Henry’s miss-demeaner wasn’t to blame, leaving it to the last game was.

So who did I want to win? Well on one side you have that whelk Roy Keane’s spud brother and the ex chav Damien Duff beer, on the other side you have William Gallas and Bacary Sagna, sorry Ireland, no contest.

Also Shay Given played in the Manshitty team that cheated us out of 3 points at the Eastlands this season, that same game the Togo twat ran the whole length of the pitch to goad, sorry, I don’t forget easily Shay.

I know we have a lot of Irish Grovers so please don’t think I have any issue with Ireland, this is all about Arsenal and Keane doesn’t play for Arsenal, as I said in a post earlier, I’m not interested in the national team anymore, it’s Arsenal for me, so when I watch internationals, I’m only looking at the Arsenal boys.

As far as the Henry juggle is concerned it’s a shame, because that’s what he will be remembered for in football now, not his brilliance, but his cheating. Not a nice way of signing off.

What will be interesting though is to see Platini’s take on it, what will he do? Especially knowing that Henry doesn’t play for Arsenal any more.

Anyway, this is an Arsenal blog, so let’s get back to what’s important, will Sagna and Gallas be fit? I mean we have Sunderland, Liege and the chavs coming up in quick succession, will he be tempted to draft in Senderos? Silvestre is already playing, will he put Eboue in for Bacari? Will Ramsey start? One thing is for sure, the Sunderland team will have had a nice rest, so they’ll be up for it.

I know Eboue played against Germany last night but it was just a friendly, but the fact is, when you have a team as good as ours, they will always be playing in these worthless internationals so I guess we have to live with it.

Great news is Eduardo has signed a new and improved long term contract, let’s hope he pays that back against Sunderland at the weekend.

Have a great day today Grovers, I guess Thierry has given you all great debating material!

Personally, I don’t reckon we need anyone in jan. UNLESS Ros and Theo end up injured again, then we have right side problems. Buy Ribery. Simple really when you have so much to spend.

  2. Big Raddy

Great to see Gallas scoring again. He has a knack for scoring important goals.

He has shown was a class act he is this season. Fair play to him, he could have said *bollocks to it* after losing the Captaincy, instead he has applied himself and is playing better now than at any time in his Arsenal career.

I hope AW can persuade him to stay after the WC, but I fear he will be going to pastures new.

Riddle-me-this…we finally find (what we believe is) a treatment that accelerates the healing of our sick and the first fucking thing we do is share it with the rest of the world and there’s now a line round the block of sick EPL players outside Kovacevic’s house.

Fucking bindipper Johnson has ticket number three

  4. Big Raddy

I have a treatment for premature baldness.

Wonder if RvP could do the advertising for me ? I am sure Rooney would pay a bundle

  5. Ray in SF

Geoff, just got to your TH in goal reposte. very sharp

what’s your take home message from the ‘redskins’ article?

that we should boycott the Emirates if we don’t buy in Jan…easy for me to do in California

  6. Big Raddy

    Thinking of economic chicanery…….

I am still in awe of Mr Kroenke. To buy 29.9% of the Arsenal without shelling out a bean, and telling Fizman etc. I will pay you later, is a stroke of pure genius.

I think I will buy THFC. Just tell Levy that I will pay him next year. Would be good for a laugh

  7. Micky Did It 89

Anyone see that bloke from the odd-shaped-ball game (some call it rugby football) who hit the bar from the half way line for £250 grand.

  8. MARK GOONER

Guys. have u seen myles palmers write up. Wat a disgrace. I’ve emailed him and told him I think he is a complete cunt. I suggest u do the same. Can’t forward the link. But go on newsnow and the headline is henry u are a liar aswell as a cheat. Can’t believe this guy. Thierry is a legend forever

  9. Rohan

Ray are you in San Francisco ?

Just asking cause I applied to Stanford Uty. as an undergraduate – I get my admission decision next month on my birthday. ( gulp )

  10. Micky Did It 89

Big Raddy: that 29.9%, no cash handed over, is simply too weird for words. Still, fingers crossed no Usmanov.

  11. zeus

    @ Reggie
What exactly did the gooner fan say while on the air?

And whoever thinks its a good idea that Arshavin missing the WC is good because he starts the season well rested and fresh, I’ll put my mortgage on it that he comes back next summer fat and over-weight. Of course it helps that he won’t set the tournie alight and put us in an awkward situation with transfer vultures.

  12. Ray in SF

Rohan my time is split between San Francisco and Los Angeles at the moment…hope you get good news on your birthday

  13. MARK GOONER

geoff im gona get my mate at work to send that guy a virus to shut his poxy site down. its sites like that, that the media will pick up on and before u know it, stories will come out as to arsenal fans turning on henry

in the first half of that game that cunt robbie keane handles the ball and ran through on goal, the ref spotted it and called a foul, i wonder what the media would be saying had he gone on to score

  14. reggie57

basically the gooner was sticking up for henry also stated rooney&gerrard were cheats durham&thicky gough were havin none of it stating henry was a cheat and irelands economy will be in ruins bcos of this etc,etc normal bullshit as usual!!

  15. Ray in SF

I thought McGeady’s tackle on Sagna was inappropriate…did he think that would alter Celtic crashing out of the CL?

  16. MARK GOONER

im going up to sunderland on sat and i hope the gooners will be singing thierrys name, im irish italian and i couldnt give a fuck about international football, and given the chance for 3 points on sat or italy or ireland to win the world cup, id take the 3 points every day, i know some wouldnt agree, but what thierry done for us for the 7 years outweighs any handball against robbie keanes team

  17. paul

I think TH14 should explain to Robbie Keane that the truth is that it’s a total waste of time him having a passport. He’s never going to need it at Tottenham and he can spend next summer touring in his caravan.

  18. Ray in SF

the obvious handball aside, nobody seems to have commented on the high level of skill displayed in finding Gallas…the media is soooooo inconsistent

  19. Geoff

Just saw the head of the Irish FA, what a wanker, he says that football was done a disservice by what happened, I don’t remember them saying any of this when Maradona done us, they probably had a good laugh. Losers.

  20. Ray in SF

Geoff: maybe we can replay the ‘Hand of God’ game, Oh, and the CL games against the bindippers where Hleb’s penalty claim was over-looked and Babel showed an uncharacteristic lack of balance.

  21. MARK GOONER

u guys seeing sky sports news
alex mcgleish backed thierry, then sky thought they would show some footage of thierry scoring a goal for us 5 years ago in champs lge which was disallowed due to handball, trying to draw up similarities. fuck me how these internationals in last week have fucked us up first with rvp, then gibbs now this

  22. SharkeySure

    Quote of the day..??

‘One caller pointed out that Henry actually handled the ball twice before France’s winning goal.
“Even in volleyball, that’s a foul,” said the frustrated football fan.’

  23. Ray in SF

choy, if your comment was against me, I was trying to be ironic and if I have to explain that then I obviously failed miserably, sorry

  24. ManGoonian

SSN really goin to town with their stitch up job now…. That disallowed goal vs CSKA Moscow years ago as evidence of his double stahdards (yep, they have the humoungous brass balls to go on about double standards!)

And apparantly theres a facebook page called We Irish hate Thierry henry and its got 40,000 members… yadda yadda…

Funny though, the onloy player, current or ex who they could get to slate him was the Burnley keeper… Who ever he is? While the Burnley manager and loads others said he aint a cheat…

I thought it was bad earlier, now it is really quite vicious. Thing is, Sky dont give a shit about Ireland, it aint about that at all, its more about prolongin the xenophobia about foreigners, and you know they want the contract for the video refs!

  25. ManGoonian

Its the Victory Shiled tonight on Sky… Wales under 16s vs Northern ireland U16s…

About time there was a big game on… can you imagine the grief if there was any contentious decision in this game…?

  26. ardentgooner

    ManG…

i can’t believe that he’s gone to such an extent…. mite as well stop writing if all he can post is shit….

  27. ardentgooner

had it been England vs Ireland…and had rooney done that….. those cunts on sky and bbc would be saying “these things happen…part and parcel of the game”…

    Fucking hypocrites…

  28. Big Raddy

This is being blown out of all proportion.

It didn’t even make the back pages of the Danish press.

Outside of UK, RoI & France. No-one gives a flying one………

  29. Dutchman

I see forward to an attack with.

    walcott-v persie-arshavin

Jesus, I like that!!!!! What an attack!!!!
I like walcott very much and he was incredible against birmingham when he was injured after 30 min.
I think that the title can be ours this season.

  30. David

How shit is the International Break that we spend the whole day talking about a handball the ref missed. If anything the ref should take the stick.

  31. Big Raddy

CMustard. Of course it is a big deal to you…….. It isn’t here.

A Térrible Irish team gets knocked out of WC. Do I care how or why? …. NO.

My love is Arsenal. France have the most AFC players – hence I support France. I like Spain because of Cesc. Without him I would have no interest in Spain whatsoever.

I have no agenda towards the Irish (I even married one!).

A brilliant French GK and a dire Spurs forward are why Ireland aren’t going to SA

  32. Big Raddy

    David.

I too am a big Walcott fan.

If he can stay fit, he will become the “face ” of Arsenal. It is so important for our worldwide marketing strategy that we have a great footballer with a high profile and pretty face.

When TH left we lost that. Theo can replace him as the Advertisers dream ticket.

Can’t see John Terry in an advert with Tiger Woods and Roger Federer, but Theo ???

  33. David

    Brilliant Big R

Especially seeing that Walcott is English.

Would he be first choice though? That is the question.

    And would he stay fit?

Henry will probably lose that Nike Endorsement but what is more important for our Marketing is Silverware.

  34. Big Raddy

    David.

You should take the long trip over here. You would see the parks full of kids with Arsenal shirts and the number 52 on them !!

  35. David

    hahahahhaa

When i was a kid i thought Santa Clause Existed.

So rightfully so its okay for children to be deluded.

But we “adults” know the truth…some daily mail article talked about how we would suffer now that B52 is out injured.

Last time i would read the daily mail.

  36. Big Raddy

    David.

To be a truly great club you have to have a Worldwide profile. We have millions of African fans, same in Asia and the Americas. Not so much because we have the Silverware, but because we play great football, and to a TV audience that is vital.

Why do we have more fans worldwide than the Chavs? It isn’t the Silverware is it?

  37. David

I do love to travel though. And seeing as you’ve just recently married im thinking the Women over there must be keepers!

  38. Big Raddy

The best women in the World live in Scandinavia. (IMO) that is if you like curvy tall women with long blonde hair and blue eyes…… (lust, lust)

  39. David

Well we had great African players play for us its not a suprise…Chelsea are getting more popular now in Africa because of the African contingency and i believe the same is true for the South American’s in the team.

We have a very deep history.

We’ve had great African and South American players on our team…Wenger works in and with Asain players in his down time over the summer

But Silverware brings more “marketing” money.

  40. Big Raddy

No argument there David. Silverware is a must.

And this year I feel a treble coming on….

I’m out. As you chaps say…. have a good day——

  41. colonel mustard

Big Raddy my man, Ireland outplayed France last night with very good football. to be honest there are about 3 teams in the world that play quality football consistently..knocking Ireland when 95% of teams play the exact same way and to same standard.

  42. AA23

    Been magical on here today.
Hurley burley and his dopey kid, mang and inside albania battering him, pedro and Geoff stepping up to all this fucking nonsense, B.B.K shopwing what he’s made of and taking it to the mickocrytes.
The irish economy will suffer? do me fucking favour.
I listened to talksport all day and the ginger cunt was beside himself, the fat fucking spud was almost in tears, Goff admited that he’s cheated before, some scouser on there was slating Thierry one minute then saying that any sportsman would have done the same thing.
Apparently Thierry was on french tv and he “smirked” about the handball. of course he did, he just cheated robbie keane and the rest of the pikey out of a bit of silver and he fucking loved every minute of it.
I have had more fun today than I can remember
I fucking love football, I fucking love legrove and I fucking Love Thierry Henry.
    I love Guinness too.
    va va voom.

  43. AA23

And the celtic rants about arsenal being cheats after their shitcunt fans fucked up that minutes silence?
    absolutely magical.

  44. ikon

Theo has a lot to do before he gets anywhere near to Henry. My opinion is he should pester Wenger to play upfront and then work hard and live upto the hype he has had since his birth.

I think he can do it. Once he gets goals consistently, opponent defenders will be scared of his pace and growing reputation and he will score even more.

But he needs to set himself milestones and achieve them. 20 goals this season is not an impractical milestone to set.

  45. ArsenalKenya

Brazilian midfielder Denilson returns to the fold for Saturday’s away trip to Sunderland.

The 21-year-old has been missing from the squad for a couple of months with a back problem, but Gunners’ boss Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Denilson, along with Lukasz Fabianski, Carlos Vela, and Armand Traore, will return for the weekend’s game.

“We have no news yet on Andrey Arshavin,” said Wenger around lunchtime, before the Russian had reported back from international duty, “but it looks like everyone else will be available.

“Theo Walcott (knee) is short for the weekend and so is Jack Wilshere (ankle). But Denilson is available and in the squad for the weekend game. Traore and Vela are both fit and available.

“Fabianski is available too. Bendtner (groin) is out for three more weeks and Diaby (calf) has a little chance for Chelsea.”

  46. bnsb

    ddm,

    good morning.

I understand Honorable Ban Ki Moon is making a statement in UN General Assembly later today.

    Just wondering….

  47. Pedro

Sabeel, I hate to say it… but if Taig wanted your crown… he could take it.

He’s a bit of an old school sharp shooter…

  48. Pedro

Geoff, top post this morning… well rounded on the wife beaters!

    Bunch of hypercritical cunts.

Pat, top vid, I added it into the post!

  49. germcbear14

how did man city cheat us out of 3 points, because i apparently have a short memory, thierry is my favourite player ever and i am irish, but he has left me with a sour taste in my mouth, it was hand ball, he said he had to exploit the exploitable sounds like cheating to me

  50. dennisdamenace

Of course Robbie “holiet than thou” Keane would never have done anything like that to seek an advantage, would he……
