… and another thing I hate + where did all the keepers go?

6. Injuries. I hate international week because of injuries also. It’s like reluctantly inviting a long lost relative to stay in your house, leaving them alone for a day… only to find they’ve taken a huge dump down the back of your piano. Oh, and by the way, the present can’t be power retrieved for 3 months.

What a joke. Robin Van Persie, deadliest striker in the Premiership, is out injured for 3 months. Fabulous. I trust the Dutch FA will be underwriting his salary over that time period?

An injury to a key player is never good news, unless of course you are an understudy to a good player.

Who now steps up to take that central role? First thought point to Eduardo who bagged to goals for the Croats yesterday. That then gives an opportunity to possibly Carlos Vela to make an name for himself, and give Theo a way back into the team. As gutted as I am for Robin, lets be thankful it was a position we’ve an abundance of cover for.

* Geoff and I were invited by the Guardian to apply to write for their fans forum for next summers World Cup. I had to write 200 words about why I love international football. I think I’ve written 600 words in the last two days about why I hate it. How two faced of me.

So yesterday, I went out and got myself a brand spanking new hair cut and I mulled over a few things of a footbalistic nature.

Goalkeepers. Where did all the world class one’s go?

It’s apparent to me that there used to be an abundance of superb keepers around. Tim Flowers, Nigel Martyn, David Seaman, Peter Schmicheal to name but a few (David James used to be a laughing stock and is now regarded as one of the best!).

Now we’ve entered a period of time where apparently the only world class keeper is the pricey Italian manning the sticks in Juve.

Now, has the world entered a poor period of keeper production? Or have Lucozade been putting something dodgy in those blue bottles? Or could something more sinsister be at hand… something more corporate?

The way I see it, the ball has reduced keepers to a laughing stock. Years ago, if someone fired a ball at the top corner, it took a reasnobly straight path towards the top corner. These new balls have made it far tougher for keepers to make a judgement. All keepers can’t be bad can they? They didn’t lose the ability to stop rocket shots over night, did they?

This season has seen record goals being scored in the Premiership. Is that becasue the skill level has been upped, or the is it because the ball maufacturers are purposely making it easier for strikers to score? I’d say it was the latter.

As a fan, how does that make you feel? Are you all about an abundance of goals? Or are you of a more purist nature, preferring team efforts over 30 yard screamers?

How far are we going to go with ball tech? Will they stop improving the pace of the ball when it starts breaking nets, or games start averaging 4-5 goals? Maybe the ball manufacturers see the only way of appealing to the biggest untapped market, America, is to increase the ‘excitement’ levels with more goals?

I love to see great goals being scored. I like to see them scored because of great technique and a high skill level, not because a ball is so light, it moves three or four times enroute to the goal. I think there has to come a point, like there was in golf, when people say enough is enough. We’ve made the ball fast enough.

The World Cup is fast approaching, there will no doubt be a newer, faster, rounder ball released. I just hope it’s not detrimental core value of the game… skill.

I’m off out to play football in the pissing rain. Have fun, and maybe drop a comment if you haven’t done so before… the Grove pit is a welcoming place, I can assure you!

Sky Sports website is goin with the Dutch FA confirm Arsenal’s worse fears, but the quotes are old and still inconclusive!

Effin wankers, are twisting the knife and being well too eager to spout shit…

  2. Pat

    Ommmmmmm, Ommmmmm, Ommmmmmmm

Did anyone see Ramsey’s goal against Scotland? When was the last time you saw a british player dribble past someone without touching the ball? Brilliant!

  3. Pat

This is off some blog. Good idea? Bad?

At this moment in time, there’s only one player I can see slotting into the centre forward vacancy. A player with incredible first touch, great passing, and ability to create something out of nothing.
    That man is Andrey Arshavin.
Yes, he’s tinier than the corner flag. But it takes the lack of defensive work he does on the flank and puts him on the receiving end of Fabregas’ passes. No longer will the fullbacks be left exposed, and it means that more of Nasri, Rosicky and Eduardo can be seen in the side without Arshavin having to step aside.
Other candidates include Carlos Vela, and, to some extent, Diaby. Both can hold the ball up and have a the ability to dribble out of tight corners. But the young Mexican is better at running onto passes, while Diaby is a midfielder first and foremost. Not a striker.
But now is not the time to panic. We have the depth, despite the huge loss that van Persie does pose. I would say our best bet is to make Arshavin the go-to-guy in the middle. The biggest arguments against that are his height and the fact he plays best sitting off a main striker.
But we all said that about van Persie not too long ago, and he adapted to the role magnificently.

  4. ManGoonian

    Pat;

Arshavin up top is very interesting mate… I think there is room for Arshy, Nasr, Rosicky and Eduardo though…

Vela would be a good shout too.

But I feel Eduardo is the man for the job….

  5. finestcuts

Yeah lets hope it’s closer to 3 than 6, they already know anyway, I’m sure they did the MRI either yesterday or early today, they might as well let us know.

  6. jlp

The reality is mangoo, FIFA has had it in for Maradona pretty much his whole career and rightly so IMO
So any chance they get to fuck him, they do and they make sure he feels it….
    as far as RvP…..
    oooooooooooooooooooommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
    oooooooooooooooFUCKINmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
If we are serious contenders we should be able to cope…. and we are
I hope him a speedy recovery and he has been tiptop thus far but it shouldn’t derail us

  7. Pat

Arshavin would be the best choice to continue the flow, as Eduardo isn’t as good as RVP and Arshain. The russian is also the most unpredictable of the 3.

RVP was a player that was hard to mark. Teams aren’t going to put 2 players on Eduardo. Oh well, we’ll have to see how it goes.
    More internationals on Wednesday ffs

    Thought-provoking post, Thanks Pedro…

the thought it provoked for me was, how many of our goals this season (either scored or conceded) were the result of “the cunning new ball”?

My take is that errors (ManU) and switching off concentration (most games) were more frequent culprits for conceding and most of the goals we scored were either walked in, tapped in or classic headers.

Not disputing the premise just musing on how it relates to our season.

  9. Ray in SF

A, I buy the advantages of playing Bendtner against the opponent’s LB when the ball is hoofed up-field, but why should it be either/or (CF vs RF)

surely he can play CF when we’re in possession and move out to the wing for the hoofs?

If a CB tracks out with him, then more space and ops for the creative midgets.

  10. tomstoned

    Eveinin All…

Thx for the post Pedro…well done mate..

Damned those friendly’s….but even though it is abit harsh..this will be the time to buy another top striker…and let RvP…go….but i do admit this latesat injury could have happened to anyone…still RvP is very injury prone…

Rosicky too…hes a great player and i really do he keep injury free…still…i would think twice before including him in Our plans…

    Senderos off what a blessing…

Ramsey ..keeps on improving…great goal and assists…

So Wenger you should be on alert when the January transfer window opens…you see what we have to do….and we have to buy..RvP..Bendtner…and with Eduardo ..who is back..but will he be able to play games in and out….

    tom

  11. finestcuts

RVP will be out for four months minimum, it has been confirmed that his ligaments have definitely been torn, meaning 3-4 months in the treatment room then 4 weeks to get fit again, so we won’t be seeing RVP in action at least until the beginning of April.

  12. finestcuts

Guys, torn ligaments = serious stuff, he’ll need reconstructive surgery, they won’t even heal within 3 months.

  13. zee

finest if that’s accurate I think we’re definitely gonna get chamakh in jan. he’ll be cheap with six months left on contract but like arsh last jan wont be champs lg eligible. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing as our smaller forwards are prob more suited to champs lg

  14. goonermichael

I think we should forget about robim for this season. When have our injuries ever been less than the original prognosis? 3 months is 6 months in Arsenal time. We need to learn to do without him. God truly is a fucking manc or chav and a cunt.

  15. tomstoned

    Finestcuts mate..

yes its a very serious injury ,,,RvP is more ore less out for the year…lets hope Wenger wakes up ..and dont fall for the usual youngster plan..Watts isnt ready..Vela isnt ready…so we have to do something…and im positive that he will do just that…..if not…well…winning something will be very difficult…

    tom

  16. Pat

finest, no way! Everyone is happy it wasn’t a fracture! fracture kept nasri out for 3-4 months.

Ligaments will be 2 months, maybe 2 and a half

  17. zee

one thing for sure – eduardo now gets a run. ok his confidence has taken a jolt recently but remember how good he was before st andrews? just scoring goals, all the time, he was absolute class at finishing chances. We make loads of chances – if he stays fit and plays, he’ll score for us

  18. finestcuts

I’m sure about the extent of RVPs recovery time but as far as Chamakh is concrened, I doubt it. Wenger didn’t buy anyone while Eduardo was out. If he does, then he’ll be playing it same, worth it for the sake of a few mill but what if Chamakh has decided he want to go to Juve after the tug of war during the summer.

  19. finestcuts

LOL ah yes, our old pal adey, how quick I am to forget about him……so maybe you’re right, we could be bidding for a new striker in Jan.

  20. Pat

Chamakh it is. His link-up play is really good for someone his size. AN absolute monster in the air too. Very hard worker too

  21. zee

we’re all speculating about rvp – maybe i’m being too positive about it but these I think are the facts. Initial prognosis from Dutch medical team last night – he’s torn ligaments and he’ll be out for 2-3 months. Since then it’s been confirmed he’s torn ligaments. We don’t know for sure, but sounds like no break. So maybe 2-3 months is still the time frame?

  22. finestcuts

This also creates an opportunity for Diaby to be second striker, that’s cheaper than buying a new striker.

He’ll be back Pat, hopefully he’ll be ready to score our Champions League winning goal.

  23. tomstoned

    zee mate..

i agree lets say three months..then at least a month to get back to any kind of form…thats four moths…then we could include these minor injurys that seems to occur when you have been out for such a long time…nope RvP’s season is more or less over…on the bright side..other players will get a chance to shine…and Wenger seems to be shopping one player every transfer window..and he has the cash…but i think he had planned for selling Senderos and buying a CB…not a forward…

the situation is not the best since Bendtner also is out….and Eduardo well i dont think he is up for playing week in week out…yet..

    tom

  24. Ja_Gunner

I think that Eduardo should take over the CF role….However with Bendy still out….There are some games in which I would play Arshy as the CF….with Vela or Eddy on the left flank..

Arshavin’s direct style will probably get us some penalties..

He is stocky and has a low centre of gravity..so he makes tight turns that CBs and other players cant make….

I remember that Messi played as CF in the CL final against Manure…with Etoo as the RF..

Playing Arshy as CF will be the same as playing Messi there..

I would not do it every game….but in big games I would see how it works…

  25. gunnergetyou

whether we get chamakh or not, we have to make do with what we have until jan anyway, if eduardo does well then wenger wont buy chamakh.

I guess rvp will be back for the final stages of the CL, and the home straight of the title race.

  26. Our year 9/10

Yes Arsene and his team can pick out talent, but his tactics on and off the pitch have always been suspect,we are now in the position of a near obsolete forward line,i can’t count the number of people who envisaged injuries to forwards, and our lightwieght lack of cover, everyone else saw it coming but not old Arsene,we are now in the position of buying 1 or 2 forwards who are probably cup tied in europe, win a trophy this season? i think Arsene has got that one wrong aswell.

  27. Samir

    We are fukkkkeeddd now……….
FFS. Why was he even playing?
    We need Inler,Subotic and Chamakh.
Even thought Chamakh is Moroccan they are too shit too qualify for the WC or ACN so he would never be off anywhere.
Only for the qualification games of course.

  28. Stu

I agree. Wenger is an idiot. I mean, what kind of dumbass couldnt see that Van Persie and Bendtner were both going to get long term injuries that would need surgery at the exact same time. Wenger out!

  29. gunnergetyou

we are the most prolific team in europe, i dont think goals will be a problem as long as we continue to create chances, i think eduardo will slot straight into our frontline, with vela as back up.

Im still more concerned about our lack of cover at the back and the GK situation.

  30. gooby

i have no doubt eduardo will do a great job, ican see why u ppl have doubts. he is a class forward and will grab a lot of goals, more than RvP imo.

  31. Stu

Its not just RVPs goals that we will miss. Its the chances he creats as well that help so many other players score. And when he comes deep and the defender follows him then it creats a pocket of space for another player to run into.

Eduardo will score goals for sure but he doesnt offer nearly as much as VP does there.

  32. gooby

yes stu- eduardo is a diffrent style, but he is intelligent and look at the passes he delivers. he is a player who can also creat maybee in a diffrent way but he does.

  33. gunnergetyou

rvp does a great job creating chances, but we still have many play-makers who can also create chances. cesc is obviously our most important player, plus we have rocky, arshy and nas. Eduardo can also create chances, he is very skillful lets not forget.

  34. Stu

It will be interesting to see how Wenger deals with Robins absence seeing as he was the focal point in the new system and Wenger basically designed it around VPs strengths.

With Eduardo in the middle we will probably have to play a bit more direct. ALso IF Eduardo plays in the middle then there will be another gap on the right wing. Wenger wont play Vela there so it will probably be Eboue. If he plays there for up to 2 months i dont know how i will survive.

  35. gooby

hope he does not put eboue RFW.

we may see something like this is in the near future.

    —–cesc—–nasri——
    rosicky———–arshavin
    ——–eduardo———

looks good imo, these 5 are gonna rock

  36. Ja_Gunner

Stu..remember Theo will be back soon……

So I dont think we have to worry about Eboue on the wing for any lengthy period..

Bendy should be back mid to late December as well…..so he can play as CF when he comes back as well…

Remember Bendy loves to come deep as well….so he will pull defenders out just like RVP did…..whether he will score enough goals is another thing….

And he also gives us some aerial threat…

  37. ManGoonian

    gooby;

    That formation rocks dude!

    Chin up fellas…

And I am not so sure it will be 4months finest… That is a worst worser worsetest case scenario and then some if you ask me! I have read up to 8 weeks… So, lets wait and see, I guess…

  38. Stu

We are just preparing for the worst MG. If some think its gonna be 4 months out then anything less is a bonus. Get it! Good, now shut it!

  39. Stu

The most annoying thing about VP getting injured (apart from that it hapened in a pointless friendly) is that now everyone will be saying “oh it was bound to happen because he is soooo injury prone”. When in reality it could have happened to anyone that he cunt Chiellini set out to injure.

  40. Pat

Hopefully the Dutch physios are hopeless twats who got their medical degrees by bribing people off!

But then again, do torn ligaments always require surgery? Anyone know?

  41. ManGoonian

    Stu;

Have you been at your mam’s cookin sherry again? Thats surely the only reason you dare to talk to me like that…!!!

    Pat;

I think it is a good thing mate…It is just down to recuperation…

  42. gooby

i had a torn ligament too. it took me 1 month and a half to recover and another month until i oculd play football again

  43. ManGoonian

    Pat;

Thats the thing though. We were being told he’d broken his ankle and torn ligaments. Torn ligaments would definitely require surgery. he doesnt need surgery, so they got that wrong didnt they!

Things are looking a lot better than they did this morning…

And the fucking Daily Mail saying he’s out for the season… Wankers!!!!

  44. stonroy

Arsenal’s fears over Robin van Persie will be been partially allayed by the news that the striker will not require surgery on his torn ankle ligaments.

  45. ManGoonian

    Stu;

My commment was aimed at all the posts of seen from people saying our season is fucked and our title chances have disapeared…

    Don’t take it personal… Its strictly business…

  46. Stu

We should just go for it and buy the french spine. We already have Gallas. Lets go for Lloris, Toulalan, Gourcuff and Gignac. Imagine that for a french connection. All we would need is Ribery and Mexes to play a full french XI.

  47. Confidentgoner

    Grovwrs,

    O anther note;

Just watched Switzerland beat Nigeria 1-0. I read Geoff talking about talent some previous post ago, and I say there re tons of them. Borja of spain strikes me as a striker that we should get our hands on. He is the new Torees and could turn out better!

  48. Confidentgoner

I think Eduardo can do very well playing for the injured Dutchman. I doubt if we will miss him that much. We will also get Walcott and Bendtner back, so no worries.

  49. Ja_Gunner

Yeah I watch Barca and Pedro gets more games than Bojan..

I think its because the formation probably doesnt suit Bojan….

He doesnt seem like he can play wide forward…and then he is probably too young/small to play CF…..

He seems like a second striker type of player….but maybe they are waiting until he is older to unleash him in the centre…..cuz I dont think wide forward fits him at all….thats just my opinion..

Bojan mostly plays the Copa del Rey…he scored 2 the other day..almost had a hattrick…

Pedro is more versatile so he gets the nod in the league as wide forward..

  50. Pat

Stu, thats bullshit. He’s not an injury prone player. He had a metatarsal injury and a severe knee problem. 2 injuries that kept him out for about 2 seasons. He’s actually tough considering how skinny he is.

Shame he’ll miss the Chelsea game, but Eduardo might relish finally getting his chance as the CF. He won’t hesitate like RVP does, thats for sure. A direct style of play is good for us. After all, the trophies we’ve won with Wenger were

  51. Ja_Gunner

I hope that Robin will be out maximum 8-10 weeks…The team can deal with that…

He will be important in the latter stages of the CL and FA cup……and also the home straight for the league….he will be ultra hungry at that time…

As long we keep within touching distance of the league by February..we will have a home stretch that has no “big” teams…..

February 6th we play Liverpool and that the last so called big team we play….

If we can close the season with an unbeaten 15 game streak with say 12+ wins..I think we will win the league…

  52. Pat

Btw Stu, I said its bullshit that people call him an injury-prone player. I didn’t mean your comment was shit! Just read it over again and thats what it might’ve sounded like

  53. Pat

Well, ESPN is now reporting that RVP won’t require surgery, but it still set to be on the sidelines for a “prolonged period of time”. How long can it be considering he doesn’t need surgery?

  54. Ja_Gunner

I just checked it……we play Chelsea on the 6th of Feb and Liverpool on the 9th at home…

I expect us to beat Liverpool at home….after that we have 12 league games….

Only somewhat dangerous teams in the bunch are Man City(home) and Tottanham(away)

If we can 10+ of those 12 games….we will win the league I feel..

  55. Pat

At least the Chav who writes that blog is saying that he wishes RVP played for them. ALl the others are cunts though. Wishing for his career to be over ffs. Classless bastards

  56. Pat

ROTTERDAM, Netherlands, Nov 15 (Reuters) – Dutch and Arsenal striker Robin van Persie sustained a partially ruptured ligament to his right ankle during Saturday’s friendly international against Italy, the Dutch FA (KNVB) said on Sunday.

A KNVB statement said van Persie had been examined in a Dutch hospital on Sunday after he was carried off in the 15th minute of the 0-0 draw following a tackle by Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini. It did not say how long van Persie would be out of action.

Van Persie, 26, has scored eight goals in his last 11 matches for the north London club who are second to Chelsea in the Premier League. Arsenal host Chelsea at the Emirates stadium on Nov. 29.

  57. ManGoonian

Man shitty are the new chavs, the classless northern cjavs…

No one knows how long RvP will be out for at the moment… It could be for 3 weeks or 10 weeks I guess… Hopefully somewhere in the middle and we will be fine…

  58. gazzap

It is a 3 month injury. it wont be 8-10 weeks. I know that injury very well.If you add on Wenger’s usual 3 weeks to get match fit, I make a return for about start of March. he could still be useful to us this season.

  59. ManGoonian

It amazed me how quickly those man shitty fans went from being salt of the earth fair minded fans to these smug arrogant classless wankers…

They used to spout off all the time about United buying the league and now they are throwing obscene amounts of mioney around, its fair game…

    Wankers…

  60. gazzap

OK take off the wenger comment and its still mid Feb. not about being optimistic its about knowing how long that injury takes, I have done it myself, and its a bloody frustrating injury. after a short while it feels OK to walk on, but when you train on it its very weak and can easily go again unless you give it 3 months. OK so RVP may be a fast healer. the most optimistic I can be for back playing is mid february.

  61. YON

RVP will be out until 2010. The point is.. how will Wenger respond in the Jan transfer window. Will he buy a defender to adjust to the EPL for an easier transition for when Gallas leaves at the end of the season (contract runs out) and Senderos is rumored to want to leave as well. Alex Song is going to Africa for a month and if say Denilson gets injured then… we are fucked. What will Wenger do?? RVP could be out until March and with the likes of Bendtner, Eduardo and WAlcott injury prone… what will WENGER do????

Having said that… he will probably do nothing.

  62. ManGoonian

    gazzap;

I know what you are saying, but I imagine its different for everyone? Plus RVP will have the best (I effin hope!) after care and physio too. Plus there may be proceedures that mere mortals like us don’t get to use!

I think 3 months is the worse case scenario… If you are saying March, I will go for mid January!

  63. Stu

Yon, what makes you think Bendtner is injury prone? This is his first proper injury in how long, ever even? And Eduardo broke his leg, thats hardly a common injury.

  64. ManGoonian

    YON;

    Easy there bruvver!

Chill man… Gallas may well leave in the summer, if so, then thats the time to get his replacement, unless a complete star magically becomes available.. which is quite unlikely. Plus I think Gallas may get a new deal here anyways… Seneros might piss off, but I can’t seethat being allowed in january, again he can go next summer and by then we have Nordveit to return, plus Djourou, bartley and Ayling…

  65. Stu

I agree with Yon on the Gallas issue. If he does leave this summer then we will have to splash out on a defender and hope he settles quickly like Vermaelen thankfully did.

Add to this that the WC will massively inflate any good defenders price tag and make the club unwilling to budge on the amount.

JD aint good enough, neither is Senderos (right now at least) and Song should stay in midfield where he has finally started to come good.

  66. Ja_Gunner

Depending how on RVP progresses…we should go in for Chamakh…

Tunisia never made the the African cup so he would be available in January..

If it seems RVP will be out til March or later…I think we should get Chamakh…

He can come in and be the FA cup CF and play in games where we need height etc.. Bendy wont be too happy..but thats how it goes…

The thing is there is a World Cup this summer…

And of our forwards…Vela, Bendy, RVP, Arshy(very likely) and Theo(likely) will be there

This means only Eddy will get a proper rest…so having Chamakh fully fit and ready to go for next season is not such a bad idea..plus we dont know maybe a forward may get injured during the World CUp…

So going for Chamakh wont be a waste..we could keep him for 2 1/2 seasons then sell him off to Italy or Spain…

The only problem is that Bordeaux will not let him go easy because they are in the Champions League…maybe they will let him go if they can get a replacement in….

  67. Stu

I know its an unlikely thing to want MG but getting one in the summer could be too expensive and we both know Wenger doesnt spend big on just anyone.

I know we wont buy a defender in january but if Gallas goes it could be very hard to replace him with someone just as good.

  68. Stu

Ja, why did you put very likely next to arshavin. Russia are no more likely to go through than Slovenia (or Slovakia, whichever ones they played). Its only 2-1 going into the second leg and Russia are away.

  69. Stu

We should have gotten Pogrebynak this summer when he was available for next to nothing. If only we could have seen the future and known we were going to need a CF.

  70. Ja_Gunner

Lets say we get Chamakh…for next season we start with a front 3 of

    Eddy…………….Chamakh……………Rosicky

This is until our tired/jaded World cup players come back up to speed…

We can sell Chamakh after 2 seasons for 15 mil at least….especially if he does well…So I think it would be a good investment..

    For January I would get

    1. Chamakh
    2. Utility DM/CB somebody like Yaya if any are out there

The goal keeping situation will just have to wait…Hopefully Almunia can hold us out until Fabianski is ready….

  71. Stu

Yes we could MG. Like we did with Rosicky for the last WC. But that would mean having to do a deal very quickly after the season ends and Arsenal arent exactly known for their fast dealings. Took us a month to sign Arshavin and the whole summer for Nasri.

  72. Ja_Gunner

Sorry guys yeah Chamakh is Moroccon….well I mean Tunisia is still North Africa lol

But yeah Morocco never made the African cup…so he would be available…

But the only problem is that Bordeaux will not want to lose him since they are doing so well in the CL….

But given the fact that its likely that 5 of our 6 forwards are going to the world cup….maybe we should get him in…incase we lose any of then in that tournament…

  73. ManGoonian

    Stu;

It depends if Wenger identifies a player he wants. Vermilli was in the bag, although it took a while. nasri was also ours a long time before it became official news.

what i find like good news…is the fact that once again it has almost been established that Senderos is out the door…and that would mean…since Johan is out for the season…that Wenger has a new CB in mind..its just a must….who ? i dont have the slightest idea..and well we could hope that RvP’s injury isnt too bad..we can hope that Bendtner’s operation and recovery will be swift…we can maybe rely on Eduardo…and then again we could hope that some younger prospect steps up (Vela,Watt)…still all theese maybe’s ddoesnt really cover us do they…im always trying to be positive when it comes down to Our Beloved Arsenal…but one word of advice Wenger…this time you have to adress the problems….

I agree about the man shitty fans. Now mancsum kills 2 birds with 1 stone. they are both dirty heroin addicted cunts

and i would buy david villa…and then sell off RvP once he gets all up and running again…the injury list of RvP is far too long….

Villas time has come and gone for him to move to england imo. He is almost 28 and if he signed for us (which he wont) then we all know Wenger would sell him after 2 seasons. Its not worth splashing out 30m for him and selling VP who is now one of our best and most important players.

Well apparently Ramsey has a back problem..so he wont feature Saturday he should be fit when the City game comes around..

I hope Fran Merida now grabs his chance…

Here is what I would do for the next few games….

    For Sunderland……

    ……………………..Al……………………….
    Sagna……….Gallas/Senderos………Vermy………Gibbs
    ……………………Song………………………
    …..Cesc……………………………Nasri………
    ..Rosicky……………Eddy………………..Vela……

Arshy may be too tired to start..but I would have him on the bench in case we need him…

If we are winning..then I would sub Vela(just coming back from injury) I would put Merida in…

I would sub Rosicky and get EBoue in there..

Maybe sub Nasri or Eddy as well……

Against Liege(we need to rest some players for Chelsea)

    ………………………Al…………………………
    Eboue…….Gallas……….Vermy/Sylvest…..Gibbs/Traore
    …………………….Song…………………………
    ….Cesc……………………………….Merida……..
    ..Nasri……………..Arshy………………….Vela….

I would play Arshy for in the CF role just to get him sharp again.

Rosicky can also come in for Cesc….

And maybe bring in Eastmond/Coquelin to rest Song….

Nasri would not need as much rest because he would have had a full 2 week rest in the international break…

    tom;

Hello and WTF are you blathering on about dude??? Sell RvP???? Jeeeez, you are a cold basterd man!!!

    goonermichael;

What are you basing RvP being out for the season on fella? Coz I see the news today as a lot better than it was 24 hours ago…

  80. ManGoonian

    Stu;

AA23 and gm have been on a weekend bender, taken far too many E’s and are now on a serious come down… Best not to have a go at them too much, or they might breakdown completely…

And tom has been smoking Crystal meth for 6 days solid with Andre Agassi….

  81. tomstoned

    ManGoonian mate..

i dont go for anything than my Misses omelette..that works just fine with me…but cold or not i wish we didnt carry all those injury prone players…

Stu: i agree that Villa may not be happening but i hope you catch my drift…we need a top class striker…RvP well be honest he has been good this season and was not bat after christmas last season..but he’s not very young anymore and injury prone..do you suggest that he will be less injury prone getting older ?? no lets be honest…and sell him….

    tom

  82. ManGoonian

    tom;

The injury RvP suffered is hardly due to him being injury prone! It was a bleedin freakish accident.

His injury record had been fine till then.

I hate labelling players like that, its not nice and i find it beastly and horrid… Please desist at once!
