Hey Ronnie, stay away, you’re not welcome at our Arsenal. And a tonking tonight!

by & filed under Uncategorized.

So in this politically correct world in which we live, where people get banned from Arsenal for singing the wrong song or standing up, I hope the hell that Arsenal extend that attitude to train robbers, especially one that was involved in the death of an innocent man whilst stealing his money.

Ronnie Biggs who never once said he was sorry, conned his way out of prison by faking dying and now feels well enough to want to go to an Arsenal match, Arsenal you banned me once and I didn’t rob a train, you banned Bin Laden, so I hope you ban him.

Ronnie, if you do get in, you’d better not sit near me, I think you are nothing more than a dirt bag who spent his life not working, paying no tax and fathering a kid just to get out of being extradited back to serve your sentence, and now you get 24 hour care on the NHS estimated to cost the tax payer £40k a year and £96 a week pension backdated to when you got released, all that and you didn’t pay a single penny in, you low life bum.

And that’s 50% more than I would get if I lost my job and I have worked my whole life paying in to the system.

Arsenal if you let him in, I’ll be giving my season tickets back and I’ll tell the world why.

I know we tend to sanctify scumbags and villains in this country, I hope like hell this bloke doesn’t get afforded the same privilege.

You are not a cheeky chappie, you sure as hell aren’t Robin Hood and you’re not welcome at our football club, Arsenal, say something!

Gael Clichy’s injury will open the door for Keiron Gibbs, so Gael, get well soon, and Keiron, seize the moment and show us tonight what you can do for England instead of the twit that plays for Chelsea.

I expect nothing more than a resounding victory, win this game boys, and do it convincingly so we can go into the weekend with our tails up.

I promised you Grovers that I wouldn’t predict a score so I won’t, but remember what we did to Blackburn? Expect a similar score.

According to the press we are after Servet Cetin, he is a tough tackling centre back from Turkey, I wouldn’t read too much into that story, solid bloke though.

Anyway Grovers, enjoy this evening, because I can’t see us having many games as easy as this one, expect some kids, but expect a tonking, we are in Europe and we mean to qualify…Tonight!

Enough on hi.

I hope you grovers are seeing why we cannot expose our young guns too early. graduated exposure is best.(Ramsey, Wilshire, Merida etc)

  2. Stu

Almunias reactions to the goals we concede tell you everything you need to know. He never looks bothered…just has an expressionless face like he doesnt give a shit. Scream at the defenders or push one of them…do something to show you care ffs!

Confident – Sunday League all round fella, Ramsey naive by getting caught on the wrong side and making a pussy challenge. However, Al looked amateurish in his positioning and reaction to the shot, both culpable for me fella.

  6. dennisdamenace

Ole big nose is almost crying on SSN right now…..ha ha ha fuck off and get a pen and signon you thieving cunt….

  7. Stu

Liverpool have to beat Fiorentina and Debrechen comfortably and hope that Lyon beat Fiorentina too. Otherwise they will have to do with 3rd and get no monies to pay off their debt.

  8. tomstoned

yes Zeus still hanging on by a very thin thread….but remember Fiorentina plays Lyon at home and with Lyon already trough..one could suspect lyon to play at less than full strength..like English clubs tend to do when they are already secured to go trough..in my mind l’pool is out of it…

    tom

  9. SUGA3

Gunnersmith – are you kidding? so what, they scored, he kept out a much better shot earlier and was exposed by our adventurous defenders IMO…

Eboue was fucking shocking tho – Gallas has done a lot of covering for him there…

  10. SUGA3

Fiorentina have a few good players on their books…

but Dippers being Dippers somehow will beg their way into the KO stages…

  11. SharkeySure

Eboue’s worst game tonight…funnily enough in what everyone says is his best position!!

Footballs a funny fucking game ‘eh

  12. Stu

Pat, if those 2 draw then Liverpool will have to beat Fiorentina handsomely and very well against Debrecen too.; Fiorentinas GD is about 5 and Liverpools is -2.

  13. patthegooner

    Overall happy with that

Shame about the clean sheet, Almunia was at fault there, at least make a fucking effort. Got wrong footed, not good goal keeping.

I am not a fan, but Diaby played well, as did Gibbs although he got pulled out of position a little too easily on occaisions.

Vermaelen was a rock….again, our most consistent player by far.

Song had a great game, as did Nasri and Cesc, and Arshavin with a couple of assists.

Eboue was the only player that really dissapointed. I thought he was very poor tonight.

Just seen the Liverpool score. I bet they still somehow fluke there way through though…..and we will never hear the fucking end of it.

  14. SharkeySure

Overall Diaby was Ok for me tonight. Wins headers off if Als kicks, gets tackles in, drives from box to box as per his goal.

Swap Diaby for Ramsey in that defensive situation and its a clean sheet tonight. For all his sins there is no way Diaby would have allowed that !!

I agree completely. Ramsey had some very iffy moments against the BinDippers last week as well. He’ll be a great player for us in the long run though

  16. patthegooner

Lyon Fiorentina draw would need Liverpool to firstly win away in Depression, and then beat Fiorentina at home by 3 goals to beat the head to head of The Italians beating them 2-0 at home.

If it finished 3-1 then Fiorentina would go through on away goals.

If it finished 2-0, it goes to goal difference which Liverpool are currently 7 behind, and then goals scored and they are 8 behind!!!!

But we could do with it going to the last game, as by that time, we should be resting players, and they will have to go full strength and we play them that weekend.

  17. patthegooner

What pissed me off about their goal is we are 4-0 up and still sending CB’s up for the Corner!!!!!!

It should never have come to them getting a clear shot at goal. We need to stamp these late lapses of concentration out.

  18. patthegooner

He was SUGA3, it was a great save earlier, but again it shows there is a mistake in him. Luckily for him we are comfortable at that stage, otherwise he is costing us points.

I think we are in a very good position and playing very well, but we have a weakest link there.

  19. Ja_Gunner

Almunia should have done better….but we too many players upfield….

We only had Eboue and Gibbs back and Ramsey did not have the pace or strength to get back and stop the player…

So its not completely Almunia;s fault…

Atleast it happened when we were 4-0 up with little time remaining…

If it had happened at 2-0 up then there would be cause for concern….

Guys dont worry too much about it….Al had an ok game before that..

  20. SharkeySure

Someone shouted about Almunia’s lack of ‘botheredness’ after conceding goals…so fucking true.

He generally looks completely nonplussed. Imagine Mad Jens reaction to that..??

  21. Keyser

I don’t get why Almunia takes the majority of the blame, that was essentially Ramsey’s fault, he either makes sure the challenge stops him in his tracks takes the yellow or since Ebway would have got across he tracks the supporting player.

Almunia’s left thinking about the pass, as is Eboue and the Alkmaar player gets lucky.

I think the centre-backs went up because it was 4-0, Vermalen made at least a few attempts previous, guess he wants a goal considering his ratio’s going down a fair bit.

The game was over before half-time.

  22. patthegooner

That is true Ja, there were others at fault but it was still poor keeping.

It was the only dampner on a clinical performance from the boys.

What also impressed me, was that you could see the winning mentality in Vermaelen. You could see he was pissed that it had cost a clean sheet. It is good to see players giving a fuck.

  23. SharkeySure

ARSENE WENGER IS A FUCKING GENIUS !!!!!!

Who else can sub out Cesc, RVP and Arsh and bring in quality like Rosicky, Eduardo and to a lesser extent young talent like Ramsey!!!

All that whilst spending loads less than the other fucking Bozo’s who claim to be top managers !!!

Walcott & Wilshire injured. Merida not even on the bench (although he should have been).

    Wot a fucking squad !!!

  24. patthegooner

Keyser, like Sharkey said, Almunia did not seem to care too much about conceeding. I want to see make an effort to save it, and show some emotion at conceeding. He could at least give a punch to the floor in frustration followed by a berating of the players covering the corner.

As for the CB’s going up because it is 4-0. I can’t agree with that. At that point in a game, A clean sheet is everything, especially as late goals conceeded seem to be our achilles heel at the moment. I think Wenger will be fuming.

  25. gooner786

Guys what do you think of Akinfeev? He let in 3 goals last night, and someone said he’s not very good at catching the ball.

    Who’s better Lloris or Akinfeev?

  26. tomstoned

    i just had to…since i love those inglorious barca’s..

if Kazan wins at home against Dinamo…and Inter beats the whores at home(san siro)

well then los inglorious barca’s out….

    impossible…nope dont think so…

    tom

  27. patthegooner

    Squad is looking good Sharkey.

I hate the injured players coming back are like new signings speak, but in Eduardo and Rosicky they have been.

Do you think think this set of players and the way we are playing is better than the season before last where we came so close?

  28. tomstoned

    Pat mate,,

Lyon is trough…if Fiorentina beat lyon..then pool are out…and well lyon may not play their best team against fiorentina…save players like most team do when they are already trough.

    tom

  29. zeus

Whats annoying about Eboue is whenever he makes a run and he makes that run into a dead end of players he ALWAYS dives (without fail) to try to win a freekick. Sometimes its really a foul yes, but a fair amount come as a result of him falling to the ground like a sack of potatoes spreading eagle almost.

  30. SharkeySure

PTG – New signings ….LOL !!! Thats too funny…but you’re right it so true. Rosicky’s class shines like a lighthouse in a cave from his very first touch !!!

I think this team is more direct, and works harder. The 07 team held the ball a lot longer and seemed to piss about a lot in front of goal. Maybe thats harsh

  31. patthegooner

    Right that is me.

Another great performance, and the goals just keep coming.

I am getting more and more confident that we can do something this season as each game passes.

We just need to keep it up, 2 PL away games on the bounce now. 6 points going into the home game against Chavski and we have a real chance

Well done Arsenal, it is a joy to watch you at the moment,

  32. Keyser

patthegooner – Oh come on, so if Diaby punched the floor once in a while or shouted at his team-mates, maybe put in a rash challenge out of pure passion he’s suddenly excused.

Almunia could have ripped Ramsey a new one, because it was down to probably his inexperienced in the first place that we conceeded, or he’s realised he was partly at fault, that they’re up 4-1, that he’s a kid and he can have a quiet word in a few mins once the games over.

I#m not saying it’s right that the centre-backs go up, I’m just pointing out that Vermaalen seemed to want to get forward at any oppurtunity.

The one thing we need is to not get too excited and keep the discipline up till the end, and it’ll come as the team grows together, we still aren’t close to seeing a regular first team and it shows when we make subs and we aren’t as fluent as we were before them.

  33. WB

if florintina manages to get 1 point from nest 2 games which are lyon(home) and liverpool(away).liverpool will have a Herculean task to go to next stage
and gooner786 i will go with lloris maybe coz of his height

  34. tomstoned

nobody else fancy los stupidos inglorious barca’s and pool out…for me thats like a wet dream…revenge is sweet…

    tom

  35. SharkeySure

Zeus – spot on. I defend Eboue a faur bit, but when he does that it turns my stomach a bit.

When he has a lie down after it or rolls round , I scream at him to get the fuck up…

I’d have no problem with him if he could cut that out

  36. Pat

tom, Barca play Inter in Spain, I’m pretty sure.

Lorris is probably better atm, but I’d take neuer over both of them

  37. patthegooner

    Keyser

He has been beaten at his near post and has not even made an effort to save it.

Regardless of players being caught out, that was not a difficult shot to save, it is poor poor goalkeeping.

  38. maurya

LFool goal difference is -2. Fiorentina and Lyon have goal difference of more than 5. It is very very difficult for pool. It is only possible mathematically.

  39. tomstoned

Yes Pat..youre right, my mistake…still if they loose and Kazan wins against Dinamo they are defenite out of it…

    tom

  40. maurya

    Ja_Gunner you are right.
We tend to commit to many players up field when we are up by 2-0. We just continue playing like a tape from start to Finnish. Discipline/temperament is needed.

  41. patthegooner

I am just a bit dissapointed, he made a WC save earlier in the game and let himself down with that.

Joking aside, I think Mannone probably would have saved it.

  42. zeus

Saw this on the Arse.com site…..

Two minutes before the break, Arshavin tucked a pass into the path of Nasri. The Frenchman weaved round Hector Moreno and slotted a shot past Romero.

On first viewing Ithought it read Arshavin fucked a pass…..

  43. Keyser

patthegooner – Honestly dude watch it again, Ramsey takes the blame for that, or the majority.

Eboue’s left 2 on 1, he’s got the player with the ball and then the player running down the middle, Almunia has to wait on Eboue to close the player down, Eboue’s waiting to see if Ramsey’s quick enough to come back and help out and he waits too long to close him down.

Almunia goes to the near post too early the player just passes to the middle, he tried to cover both waiting for eboue to make the decision, got wrong footed and by then it’s too late.

All three were at fault, Ramsey takes the majority of the blame.

  44. WB

arshavin made 3 assists today, and all three were killer passes.
he was playing behind striker today, this role seems to fit him

  45. Pat

To give ALmunia the benefit od the doubt, the AZ player took that really early and a better choice would have been to cross it, where there were 2 other AZ players. The shot was taken early though, a toe poke I think.

Still, a world class goalie would easily save that.

  46. Pat

WB, I wouldn’t say Arshavin was playing behind the strikers. It seemed he was given a free role…or he decided to give himself the free role!!

  47. A

WB Arshavin was playing out wide today, usual position just rotating with Nasri which side he’s on and roaming about.

Good result today, poor from the kids in Gibbs and Ramsey for their goal, and very poor by Almunia obviously. Still good team performance, did what we needed to do, and hopefully we’ll rest a few players home to Liege and a win means we can take our league cup team out to Greece for the last game!

VP, Cesc, and Arshavin got a bit of a rest before the weekend too which is a plus

  48. Keyser

Totally forgot about Gibb’s, poor header, he could’ve just hekd up their player and we’d probably have got enough back.

  49. WB

A, i dont think gibbs was at fault for that goal. he defended well and his cross is atleast 10 times better than clichy

  50. zeus

Just saw the conceded goal. Whoever is making excuses for Almunia and blaming Ramsey needs to stop. That was a shit piece of goalkeeping. A toe pock from 18 yards out. Thats as bad as Fab4 first goal, bad for Romero anyway.

  51. A

WB he sold himself, if you go for a ball like that you have to win it, otherwise a defender should stand off. Just letting someone through like that is very poor. That apart though he didn’t have a bad game, couple of mistakes, let his man past him a couple of times but he did well enough and got forwards well

  52. Keyser

zeus – No-ones making excuses, it’s there to see, Eboue was left two against one because of a poor header from Gibb’s, a poor challenge from Ramsey, you could even talk about how many players we had back.

To lay the blame solely on Almunia is rubbish.

  53. zeus

    @ keyser

Too many players forward is fine. Eboue’s position is excellent bcuz he has to cover 2 players, but a toe poke from 18 yards out cannot be a good conceded goal. Not from 18 yards.

  54. WB

the way fabregas is playing he is making his move to barcelona(if he wanted it) more and more difficult.i dont think arsenal can let him go for anything less than kaka atleast

  55. Stu

Almunia isnt the only one getting the blame. Ramsey is equally at fault for his poor challenge but Almunia still should have saved it with easy.

He was too concerned about a pass across goal and should have been more worried about a potential shot. Its like worrying about the rebound before the oenalty has even been taken. You cross that bridge when you come to it.

  56. Ja_Gunner

    Song is developing quietly..

If he continues to get better…..then all he would need is to develop is a long range shot……and he would be well on his way to being one of the best DMs in the world..

I would really love for us to try to get Yaya next season..

If we add him we may not need another CB since Djouru is here…plus you never know..maybe Sendy might find favour again.

If we get Yaya and buy/develop(Fabianski/Scsesney) a good goalie….we will dominate for the next few years.
