I find it quite amusing that he still can’t stop bringing up the story that he was forced out the door at Arsenal, the latest one is Wenger said he wouldn’t get in the starting line up, well that changed from last time when he said we needed the money, now he’s saying that Cesc will leave next and join the other world class stars walking out the Arsenal door. What world class stars, it was you and Kolo wasn’t it?
Anyway, Cesc was quick to come out and say that’s bollocks, he said London’s his home and he has no intention of leaving.
Let me start by saying I’m sorry to anyone in Togo reading this but he must be the only bloke that was shut out of the school gates when he was a kid, he really is thick, I remember when the moron played for us and he talked about the Tigers in Africa, fucking idiot didn’t know Tigers come from Asia.
Well Ade, you aren’t world class, you had one good ‘half’ season, even Flamini had more than that, Kolo was a great player, but that was some time ago and he’s not a patch on Vermaelen, so who exactly have we lost that’s world class? No one, that’s who.
Finally now you’ve started to get offside for shitty, it won’t be long before they turn on you, so if you had half a brain you would stop continually talking about us, and start acting like a City player, stop telling the world you didn’t want to leave or you’ll end up being hated by 6 groups of fans to go with Lomé, Metz, Monaco, Togo, and Arsenal.
I know I said I wouldn’t mention him again, but he does piss me off with his half witted rants.
So it looks like no Rosicky against Spurs tomorrow but I’ll have money Nasri doesn’t get the call over Diaby. I hope like hell I’m wrong, but the smart money is on one of Wenger’s favourites, so Diaby or Eboue will get the nod.
I caused some controversy yesterday when I suggested Eastmond could step up, as at least 4 people disagreed, but you know what? I can’t please everyone, but if they are old enough to play Liverpool, they are old enough to play Spurs. I really rate Coquelin as well so maybe those two will be seen more this season.
Tomorrow is the big one, not big in the scheme of things, but big to shut the spuds the fuck up, every season in memory is going to be the one they break into the top 4, and even a blind squirrel will eventually get an acorn, but not this year Harry, and probably not in your lifetime.
Someone out there needs to explain to me how they spend the money they do and can afford a stadium to rival ours. I heard that Levy publishes a stadium picture every 2 years just to shut the spuds up, perhaps Ade should have played for them, they would be well suited.
Have a great day today Grovers, tomorrow we feast early!

dont get me wrong i love clichy, even if he has his moments. Ideally wouldnt want to lose him at all, but he’s become expendable because of gibbs’ rapid progress. If real madrid want to spend 15m on a full back and they still want him, I dont think that would be terrible business IF IT’S RE-INVESTED.
crouch and stacey soloman, sorry bentley def start tomorrow according to Redtrapp
Afternoon all.
Anyone go for a drink at Che’s before the game on Weds? Was it open, as I didn’t and when I was going home I passed the road it’s on and it looked a bit closed and roped off!
Was going to meet there tomorrow as normal, so wanted to check if there was a problem?
thats right bbk we are shit we have no chance of winning fuck all and all our players are crap
u talk some fucking bollocks
The sooner clichy learns how to cross the better for him.Gibbs is ahead of clichy when it comes to going forward
In case you missed it the first time:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kHk1_C53d1s&feature=related
Not my doing, but very funny, also shows no matter how much you try, you couldn’t possibley slate our team (and our ow fans, and manager, and board of directors….) as much as we do!
Mark Gooner, you forgot to mention that the manager is shit, the board are thieves, and the fans well……..
Tricky,
At that time we had gilberto, flamini as well as diarra..so
Mark, is it not a concern that BBK could be right. After all it is not inconceivable that you could finish 3rd in the league but with nothing else to show for the season.
Maybe it’s not a question of what is probable sometimes, but what is possible.
As for Clichy, was he not one of your best players last season? I know Gibbs is good (having seen him live in a couple of youth games, I can honestly say I can see him taking over the LB berth in years to come) but to lose any ‘experienced’ memebers of the squad is suicide surely?
TBH.. Clichy has made some very high profile errors in the last season.
tricky – ideal world we dont lose any players at all next summer, but, if we have to, clichy could be sold as gibbs is deputising so well. Sure he’s experienced, he’s an Invincible! Seems to me Gibbs is in a very similar position to Clichy when he was emerging just when Cashley started getting interested in roubles
So what then Choy? Whinger had a momentary lack of foresight? Flamini wasn’t he in the final year of his contract and refusing to sign a new deal alreay by then?
And if so then why allo Diarra to be sold. And when diarra was sold why not go after him from wigan?
I just don’t get why so many say ‘well of course whinger spotted his talent but turned him down’. He has a more professional attitude than Diarra ever did (wilson actually waited in the hotel lobby for harry to come down to breakfast to ask if it was OK to leave the team in order to go and identify the body of his brother back in honduras), he is strong, trains hard, doesn’t drink and on his day will keep the opposition midfield contained.
I’ve not heard a single gooner suggest that Whinger made a mistake by not signing him? Does Whinger really know best after all?
He definitely wasn’t one of our best players last season.
tricky here you go – wenger made a massive mistake by not signing Palacios. What a player. Course he makes mistakes, we all know what happened with diarra (sounds like pompey still aint paid us) and flamini. Definitely mistakes.
Afternoon All…
Thx for the post Geoff….another day in Arsenal Paradise….im a little frustrated concerning Rosicky..wasnt he supposed to be ready within a couple of days a week or two ago ?..damned..
tom
I like Palacios(like being a relative term), he’d do a good job for us.
Flamini never refused to sign a contract he wanted to wait till the end of the season so if we won he’d ask for a lot more imo.
portsmouth say they’ve now paid us for diarra. thats good of them
Can I just say one thing on Rosicknote. Now this is of course all unsubstantiated rubbish from a gooner I know, who allegedly knew blah, blah, blah person.
But I had heard that Rosicknote’s ‘injury’ was more to do with his lifestyle choices since moving to london. The reason for not playing him was therefore to do with de-selecting him for from the WADA list for random testing, until he got himself sorted out.
Now I don’t know much about the guy, so have no idea if this stacks up, btu a similar thing was apprently the reason for Gareth Bale’s continued absence as well.
Anyone know if being listed as injured (and therefore on prescribed medication) actually excludes squad players from random testing?
This rumour has been doing its rounds for a while, I don’t buy it at all. Why would we keep him on the payroll for 18 months while he sorts out his lifestyle.
There’s more chance of a blind squirrel finding an acorn in the Arctic than there is of spuds getting a new stadium.
Their board trot this nonsense out every season, around now, in an attempt to minimise the overbearing effects of “Stadium Envy” they feel as they make their way to our shiny new ground.
Mayank mate..
we kept Merson
and i could go on…
tom
No one can keep that stuff out of the press. Merson certainly couldn’t.
Tricky you’re on an Arsenal blog so have some manners and stop the Fabregash and Whinger bollox
but London my point was we kept him on the payrole…like every other player we have kept who was party boys…charlie nicholas f.ex the list is pretty long if we care to look..
tom
Tricky, I’m pretty certain that the sun would have got hold of that rumour if it was true… and secondly, Arsenal would have dumped him.
You can be randomly tested whenever by the sports people. I don’t think you’re allowed to take illegal substances through illness. Wasn’t Dean Kiely done for taking a cough medicine before the cup final?
Tom, Arsene didn’t did he?
He would never tolerate a coke head in the team… can you imagine the damage it would do to our brand if that got out?
Pedro..
if Arsenal had dumped players who like to walk on the wild side…then at times we would have probs fielding a team mate
tom
Plus… we wouldn’t give Flamini and extra 10k and he was playing… I can’t imagine us footing a £40k a week bill for someone who couldn’t control their urges!
Plus… 18 months to get off drugs… Amy winehouse managed to do it in a year and she was on the crack!
Tom, we don’t have party boys at Arsenal… if you are, you’re out.
You only have to read up on Theo to see what a crazy boy he is… a good night for him is sitting in the front row at the cinema…
Right, I’m off out for 10 minutes!
Wenger didn’t keep them on though….Merson was one of the first out the door.
I’m going to have to learn to type quicker
agree somewhat Pedro..
still im not sure that the party culture at Our Beloved Arsenal are all gone…Bendtner…??..
well on the other hand there will always be romours…and well Wenger himself said that Rosicky was out for no mere than a week…its getting to be a very long week im afraid..
tom
Actually the board has been simply working on the staium design for the last twelve months since the decision to stay at WHL was made, but have been getting the training academy through planning first.
It’s just that at each stage of the application for the stadium the press pick up on it. It’s not a new design wheeled out every year as you seem to suggest, but the same one going through the development process.
Will it actually happen? Maybe, we’ve recently raised £15 million to pay forthe professional fees to see it through to a point of construction. It’s all about the numbers, if levy can get the right figues to pay for the build, and construction inflation and material costs are decreasing all the time, so maybe the timing is right from that perspective.
If it does I expect to be bled dry further by the board. I guess only time will tell.
I’d like to see a match b/w 11 cokeheads and 11LSD users i think it’d be the most imaginative and fast football ever played.
Wasn’t the first thing that Wenger change the drinking culture?
I love the Merson pic though don’t know much about his drinking history.
Tom, that night he got caught out… he wasn’t even drinking!
How embarrassing…
Footballers these days… it’s all a bit too straight laced!
Wengers injury is always like that.
If he says 2 weeks add another 2 weeks to get the real date of return!
Which one?
The one where he lost his trousers?
Tricky how do spurs have so much money?
Is there a sugar daddy?
As for the rumour, I always thought that the reason the club stood by their players or at least obscured the reality from view was the increasing emphasis on their value as an intangible asset to the club, and so by anouncing it, you would be in effect decreasing an asset on the balance sheet.
Could be wrong, but that has been given as an explanation in the past (and was apprently the justification by mike ashley to keep that twat Barton on at the barcodes).
Tricky…
youre in a dilemma…and with no fast way out…Wenger planned ahead of a new stadium…he put a lot of time money and effort into youngsters …with the knowledge that for some years after building the Emirates..there would/could be very little funds for buying…and to keep a team at the top when at the same time building a new stadium is something most clubs cant do..it almost always leaves the clubs out of means and on the slide..
tom
well Pedro first he was out flashin then out crashing..and keep in mind he’s Danish..they are quite..how shall we put it …free…
tom
In short yes, ENIC is owned by joe lewis (billionaire type) but we have been running self contained in profit for some time now.
The club has been running in recent years by making a net profit in transfers (you are not alone in that department despite what some might think about us being ‘spend thrift’), some substantial sponsorship deals (puma and mansion obvious one’s to note) and by bleeding the fans dry with exorbitent ticket prices and pushing the merchandising very heavily.
So all in all, we are one of the few with little debt (currently anyway) and some ‘spending power’.
i feel situation with both risicky and edwardo both out long period means they pickup alot knee, thigh and half injuries and wenger will not risk playing them a full 90 min .the only player i see leaving is senderos
Tricky,,
be aware you lot will be the new porthsmouth once that *fecker*redknapp is done..*constructing*why not just buy him a cheap bottle of whiskey and get rid of that bummer….good luck..
tom
Most of your transfer profit is from Berba and the Keane magic trick…
Won’t building a stadium take out a lot of that spending power?
Spurs are very active in the transfer market. How could that be affected? Where do you see yourselves in the table while the stadium is being built?
leon..i could easily agree with you..good points..why dont we just buy Akinfeev….and wave goodbye to all other clubs..and what the heck lets buy Yaya too then we will be untouchable…
tom
Tom, your not completely out of the woods yet! You still haven’t actually won anything since you robbed United in a cup final a few years back. And until I look at your net debt and see a zero figure you’ll still be having to sell and buy with a net trading profit (despite the lies the board will tell between now and then). And as anyone will tell you servicing debt costs money. It’s not the long term bonds that would appear to be the issue it’s the fluctiations you’ve had in hte short term debt that has probably added to the equation.
Of course once you get past that point it will make you one of the strongest spending clubs in europe. But that day isn’t here yet (thankfully).
And yes I agree, if we pile a load of debt on the club and restrict our own spending power we do not have enough youth with the quality or depths that is needed to survive, and history is riddled with clubs who built their status on the basis that they could spend first and recoup later, only for it to spiral out of control and administration was the only course of action.
It’s a difficult one which is why I resented the Man City set up (even before the oil barons took over) where they only had to pay for the conversion cost (about £60 mil) for hte city of manchester stadium after the commonwealth games. It was our bloody tax money that was spent on it in the first place. b*d northerners!
tricky – what about the idea saving the money, instead of building a new stadium do a north london stadium share? underhill would be a perfect location for you.
Mayank, actually it’s not, you can go back to carrick (bought for 4 sold for 16 with no sell on clause to west ham – they still don’t like that), or Mido bought for 4 sold for 8, and a myriad of other players that don’t hit the headlines. We even managed to offlaod Bent for the same consideration as that which we shelled out, and Zokora (god bless the gangly headlesss chicken).
It’s a misnoma that we only made money on a few deals. We’ve managed to produce quite a few players from our academy that haven’t made it in our first team that we palmed off to the fizzy pop league clubs for a few mil as well (marney is one that springs to mind).
But we’ve been active because of the churn of Managers (each with their own ideas) and the rediculous appointment of Commolli, that and united and liverpool taking a peek at our squad and coveting a few players.
tomstone wenger may or may not want yaya but that does not mean yaya will want to come to arsenal and he has stated taht he wants stay at barc and it non starter.i dont think funds are problem but finding top class in midfield position yaya is a good player but dont see him as a world class player,if you proposing droping song to bench it must be to someone who is top top class and someone will considereble stuture and real leader
Tricky,,,
maybe its time you lot start off on the right foot, find a manager that has his own way of playing..like Hiddink..let him run for a decent amout of years…and then put some of that money in your yongsters..build it up somewhat like Ajax did back in the seventies…the only thing that kept that club for being truly great was the lack of funds..it has been done before..and would in my mind be a perfect way to build for the future…
and i may add that this way of planning ahead are the reason for why Arsenal will be a top club for many years….not forgetting that we have the best manager in the world Mr Wenger
tom
tricky how much was your cartwheeling captain? £19m?
lol @ Tiamo – too good for them mate
timao – ha ha ha, no really please stop, it’s hurting.
choy – yes it would, but we’d probably stuble around between 8th and 17th in hte league until it was done. The danger for me is if the inconceivable happens, if we did manage (by some miracle, be it bought about by levy doing a deal with the devil / FA or by someone falling from grace faster than Heather Mills on daytime TV) we finished top 4 (don’t worry, It would be the bindippers if any who fall out, and it is mor likely to be city or villa than us who displace, but still I am only hypothetically speaking, I don’t think for one second it is probable) we would have to spend to compete in cometitions, and worst of all, we may have to break our wage cap (currently set at 60K per week) ot bring in the talent. if we tried to do that and build the stadium I could see us being the next leeeds , southgampton, etc.
So I almost hope (pragmatically speaking of course) that we do end up where we might just get into the european 2nd tier competition where we can still mix it without having to spend big, and that this top 4 nonsense can be put to bed once and for all, as it would probably ruin us.
By that rationale, wierdly enough that prob means you should be praying for us to make top 4 at liverpool’s expense. Ironic huh?
I initially was against the sale of that idiot called Adebayor. I was of the opinion that he should be given another season to prove himself. In the end, he was sold for a very decent sum and Arsenal are the better for it. However, I never realised what a wolf in a sheep’s clothing he was. Since his sale, all he has ever talked about is Arsenal. His most celeberated goal was against Arsenal, the only time he deliberately committed a foul on a player was against an Arsenal player. Right now, I hate him as much as the shitty club he plays for. The only plea I have is for the Arsenal players to to make him shut his wide mouth by thrashing shitty silly in the return fixture at the Emirates. And if possible, one of the players should help him off the game for at least 9 months on the sidelines if u guys know what I mean. Up Gunners!
Tricky i think it’s because of the number of signings that don’t work out or at least don’t live up to the hype that it seems like Spurs are getting mugged in the transfer market…
Leon mate..
wasnt thinking of dropping Song actually having Song and Yaya in the team would mean perfect cover for both….and in my mind Song is still groomed to be a CB…but i agree finding a truly great midfielder isnt easy..but i have a feelin that Nasri will be Our next….besides Yaya would easily cover for both Gallas and Vermaelen too…but as you said it most probably isnt going to happen…
on the bright side..i always looked as Us as the New Brazil…i have to admit im wrong…we’re far better
and to be totally honest Leon…we can do this without buying any players at all we have talent coming trough in bundles…Merida..Le Qoc..Wilshere..Ramsey..and the younger ones are even better….
tom

IF YOU HATE T*TENHAM!

IF YOU HATE T*TENHAM!!!!!!!!
tom, i agree (in parts only), it is the only way to do it. stability has to be acheived before such plans can be made. And I do I think harry is going to be arond in a few seasons? no not really. I have long maintained that until we have a manager we can invest in we will always be ‘unstable’. I admire what the board at everton have done and the supprt they gave him along the way. We were almost there with Jol, but the undermining of him by comolli put paid to that one.
What worries me in this day and age is that amangerial decisions are made over a course of a few months, not years, and that it is the media that fuels the fans, that in turn puts pressure on boards to appear to ‘act decisively’.
I just wonder if a manager in ‘the modern era’ now gets enough time and support?
And I disagree whingers the best manager in the world. An excellent coach perhaps. but his failings and weakenesses are all too obvious to the extent that he has become a parody of himself.
Take the ‘we will learn’ comment about being complacent in recent games. Didn’t he say that last year after the very game that is due tomorrow when you threw away a two goal lead? if so, then clearly the team haven’t learnt at all in the last 12 months, so it is by default a lie!
An inability to see what needs correcting is poor managment, seeing it and not correcting it is entirely a different kettle of fish.
Now tell me I am wrong, and that you haven’t thrown leads away / failed to take your chances / not been clinical enough in the last few years.

Net trading profit??
You sure about that mate?? I think the £35m per year profit we make allows us to spend what we want.
Unlike you guys who have to borrow every time you want a player.
Once you learn about how finance works you may be able to debate this point.
Hello, hello, we are the Arsenal boys!
Hello, hello, we are the Arsenal boys!
And if you are a Tottenham Fan,
surrender or you die,
cause we all follow the Arsenal.
Lasagne whoa Lasagne whooooaaaaa
we laughed ourselves to bits, when the spurs they got the shits!
Thats Lasagne whooooa, Thats Lasagne whooaaaa
The spurs the started to cry…cause they didnt qualify…
THATS LASAGNE WHOOOOOOA LASAGNE WHOAAA
Might sound a bit clichéd but football is a game of small margins and every team does these things. We’ve done it a bit more because we don’t have the mental strength of Man U. Experience is the key and if you’re saying that kids don’t learn at a faster rate than 26 yo then that explains a lot!
tricky – mark my words, your best player tomorrow will be clattenburg. without that blind f*cker in charge I’d lay odds you’d be down to 9 men by half-time. he’s your best hope of avoiding total humiliation
gambon i think tricky needs to worry about his own club more than ours. Take Bentley (as we said to Blackburn) we got about 15m for a player who couldnt make it with us. Then when spuds paid another 15m for him, we banked another 7m. enjoyed that transaction
Tricky..
in a perfect world you just might be right..but the football world isnt..so buying a new stadium..last year ending fourth in the premier..semi finals Champions league..Fa cup…i know teams that would die to have such a record in a off season:)and still providing the best talent.out there ..well..i rest my case…
tricky take a deep breath….soon enough you will see that Arsenal is the next great thing to dominate the world of football and for years to come…you are just now witnessing the birth of perfection…sit back and enjoy..and why not be a part of it ?…
we love football dont we…:)
tom
She wore, she wore
She wore fishnet stockings
She wore fishnet stockings and stilettoes on her feet
And when, I asked her why she wore that costume
She said it’s for her client and his name is David Pleat
David Pleat, David Pleat…
The key to long term success would appear to be predicated on one thing – a sustainable revenue model that can service youth development and first team investment. Firstly to service the academies. This model is adopted by lower league clubs just to survive. Crewe being a prime example. The second is the the dealings of profligate managers who buy and sell players like shares to try and generate profit to keep the club afloat (sorry Tricky but ‘arry comes into this bracket and he couldn’t balance a brick in his hand let alone the books). If you can manage both you’re on safe ground. Otherwise you fall into either / or of the above and survival is the name of the game before success.
Tom, continuity is a key factor, us and Man U are proof. Chelsea is an anomaly but more to do with the fact that the core of the team is still Maureen’s which gives them a kind of continuity.
tomstone i my view every team iame in ideal world it would nice to have world dm player and is good player but a world class player, wilshire, merida ramsey are all fliar players and are upcomming players but we need players who are ready now and and the same time rough and ready player and a real leader and general but not anyplayers out there like that therefore i think wenger having mold players like nasri, ramsey and diaby to play deep central role ,therfore i dont expect to see midfielder but maybe a cb
lol rich!
Guys, nine players have played for Arsenal and West Ham in the Premiership… name them.
Double, double, double
Sol Campbell has won the double
And the c*nts down the Lane
Have won f*ck all again
And Sol Campbell has won the double.
Hey hey tottenham(sol Campbell)
I wanna know

gambon, yes net trading profit (not to the same level as your £35mil but not at a loss to date, albeit that might change in the near future).
I can find my way round an annual report enough to see what is what. Like that your net debt decreased from 318 mil to 297 mil last year in addition to making a profit after tax of 35mil. The first step along a long road to zero debt, but still you have nearly 300 mil at the moment.
You see Mayank is in part correct, we have been ‘mugged’ it would seem on the surface, and yet we still go out and manage to mug someone else in return.

Oh yeah, one more, heard this in the pub on Wednesday when we dicked on the scousers:
F*ck off Liverpool FC ,
We don’t care about your history,
Cause you’re a sh*t team now and your living in the past,
So shove your history up your a*se!

tom
How many players have scored against their old team in a North London derby?
keyser – kaba diawara!! he’s gotta be washing the dishes somewhere now
very topical sarge. tell us the figure and we’ll try get em
How many Togo natives are complete cunts?
I’ll give you 2 clues;
- His dad washes Elephants
- His mum is a whore
Zee – one.
Tom and sarge, yes you are both right to an extent. Which is why what ever happens this season I don’t exactly see a rosy future, too much could go wrong between now and the completion of the proposed stadium and we don’t quite have the structure yet.
Although as a caveat to that i would say that we are in hte process of building a new training facility that is geared towards a greater influx of youth (even if I don’t think that Harry is the man for that job somehow)
However it does bring one small matter into question for your lot, what happens when whinger retires /leaves, will your board fall into the same trap of not giving subsequent managers enough time to make their mark?
And tom, you mayhave sufficient about you to see the positives and comparatives to some teams (though clearly not any who wan something last season), but how many of your own fans will be on the ‘whinger out’ trail if you end up this season with nothing more to add to the trophy cabinet? or even the season after next? Hypothetically of course? You may well have a good coach, but how many fans think the same way when you are able to see through his web of lies through the Goon central PR machine. And then who puts the pressure on the board to make the changes?
oh and ‘rich’, I’m could lower myself to your level, but frankly I’d be scared on not being able to construct a cognitive thought afterwards.
Still there’s nothing more uplifting in life than the thought of a happy mongol. So have a nice ride home on the licky bus.
that makes three of em gambon

Tom, Premiership…
I dunno why, but I had those names far too easily, I even had Diawarra, but missed him because he only came on loan.
Do I have some sort of transient vulcan mind meld going on with West Ham or something.
Champions League, you waited all year
’til a Gooner chef gave you diarrhoea
You shat in the sink, you shat in the bath
Champions League, you’re having a laugh
Keyser, Richard Wright never played in the Prem for West Ham
Nor did Rami Shaaban before you throw him in there as well!
U2 Tom.
i’m stumped sarge need a clue
Dammit, heh, wikipedia had him at the club, was he injured ?!
Tricky..
there is only one answer to that…in Arsenal we stand firm behind Our Beloved Arsenal…always ..to differ in opinions does not mean we dont love Wenger and Our club….
and since i really cant wish you a great weekend
take care and no suicide thoughts when you get blasted to kingdom come tomorrow
later..
tom
This question has really highlighted some of Arsenes silly gambles;
- Rami Shaaban
- Kaba Diawara
shabaan wasnt he an egyptian swede or something?
only played when we had flatpack pyramid formation
I used to like manninger, he had a great game at west ham once
sarge – I think even I know that one!
Anyway, I think I should leave now, you lot were clearly freer to talk through your fear that Wilson willboss the midfield and tha keane and crouch both have good scoring records for you, when I wasn’t around.
I let you wallow in your fear (even if it is unfounded) for a while.
Hope you lose (but then I would say that) and will be back to take the (expected after losing) abuse from the more coherrent and eloquent amongst you on monday, if that is palatable. I may well of course ignore the lesser compenents who are clearly confusing the freedom of speech with abusing the priviledge.
COYS!!!!!!!!!!!
Zee. Not an easy one mate cos he was no major star but it was in the 60′s. He was better for us than he was for them.
gotta be sulzeer campbell eh
too far back for me. i panicked when tricky said even he knew it. i’m embarrassed to say i’m stumped
Tricky – Indulge me mate. A bit of football knowledge is always something to be proud of.
Zee- afraid not but good try.
Just cup games apparently!
Sarge, how can you not know this one. Its recent too.
Hartson, Ian Wright, Upson, Winterburn, Boa Morte, Aliadiere, Ljungberg, Davor Suker, Diawara
spuds’ memories can easily stretch back to the 60s. 48 years innit?
I mean Zee, not Sarge.
does anyone not know the scorer?
pedro… keep em coming mate!
arewe still trying to think who scored against his old team …? that’s easy (unfortunately) isn’t it?
sorry stu – is it recent or, as questionmaster Sarge says, from the 60s?
What was the question???
its very recent lads
Wenger on rejection kid Adebaywhore….Brilliant, Ade will be on the phone to the Samaritans tonight.
“Frankly, I’m not really bothered about what he says,” Wenger said. “Why should I react to quotes that may not even be accurate?
“What is important for me is that we play well tomorrow. For the rest, we have to live with what people say but it is not really important.
“Nobody knows what’s happening next week so why should you speculate or worry about statements of that calibre? They are not anything realistic, it’s just talk.”
and he’s very very popular with his old club
The question being who scored against their former club in the NLD. Thats what we are talking about….right? If so then its easy as piss…unfortunately.
it is not Diaby is it, I am not sure who he was fucking playing for against West Ham.
david arse bentley
Oh, yeah surely everyone knows that rat faced cunt.
oh ive just got it. i’m packing away my laptop.
Tricky (?):
Brilliant analysis and comments. Your insights and knowledge of football (Tottenham and Arsenal)second to none..except perhaps BBK..I agree with BBK by the way: this team has no talent, is destined for mid-table. Agree with you too: Tottenham and that world class midfielder, Mr. Palacios, need only show up to scare poor Cesc and the frightened players of The Arsenal. Tottenham are an astonishing force and destined for top four…the reality (as provided by BBK) and the terror (as provided by you and Tottenham)are right on point. Can we just forfeit the match and provide both of you with a round of applause?
not fair on rats gambon
wow, someone’s grown a pair!!
not fair on cunts either
Hi All,
Love derby day but I don’t know what I’m more nervous about.
The game.
The birth of my first baby which is due tomorrow.
The latter coinciding with the former.
Tricky – if you’re still around, do you know when the spuds accounts are released each year??
I look forward to seeing them this year as according to the accounts dated 31st December 2008 Spuds had a net debt of 40.1 million. Since then significant investment was made in January & more was spent in the summer (albeit the summer was somewhat offset by the sale of Bent & Boateng), the net debt must surely be somewhere around 60 million now & thats before anything happens with your new stadium.
I heard previously that Levy wanted to get the planning permission through so Enic could sell up at a vast profit & not actually have to build the stadium.
All, have a great weekend. Let’s make it a memorable one.
Ha Ha well said GMR, and good to see you on here mate, not seen you in a while.
Maqitlarge, Congratualations buddy, I hope it all goes well.
Cheers Pat.
Winning goalscorer = name of baby?
Stu / Zee- apologies then it’s two. I forgot about the ferret faced prick from last year. Jeez how stupid of me….or was it just selective memory. I’ve tried so hard to blot out that game. Crack, H, Vera Lynn…I’ve tried ‘em all. Thanks for reminding me Stu.
mark gooner wait and see what happends at the end of the season when we win fuck all again, cesc will be off to barca no doubt about that
Congrats Maqitlarge and all the best, i really hope we crush them then so that in every aspect it will be a memorable day for you.
otherwise you will have to convince her to hold that child in until Sunday
To be honest, I have stopped caring about when Cesc will go.
It is in inevitible it will happen at some point, so whether it is next summer or the one after, good luck to him
Great footballer, but mostly a decent bloke who has always had the common decency to come out and rubbish reports. He is an honest lad and I am sure we will be the 1st to know when he finally decides he wants to go home.
