Another lie from the Arsenal over season tickets? Or just economical with the truth?

by & filed under Uncategorized.

Hey when I was a kid, I was economical with the truth all the time, at least that’s what I called it, but I don’t expect it from the club I support and love.

Let me first explain that before I renewed my season tickets yet again, I wanted to be sure that the boss would be buying some much needed talent and that me like all the other season ticket holders would not be funding project youth again for yet another year, Arsene made all the right noises about how he needs to strengthen and that two or three players would be coming in. Great, at last!

People have often said why would Arsenal lie, the fact that we pay the most in world football for our tickets should at least guarantee us a few signings but no, every season we seem to sell more than we buy, but this season would be different, the boss said NO-ONE WOULD BE LEAVING and we would be buying, he said that not me.

Arsenal said there was a waiting list for tickets and that Club level was to be capped at a 1,000. So the inference is, hurry up boys or we’ll give them to someone else. In fact they said this…

…Be first in line for Club Level seats in Season 2009/2010
The Club Level Waiting List capped at 1,000 members to ensure that as many Waiting List members as possible are given the opportunity to purchase season tickets for the following season.

So you know what? With the promise of not selling, and the statement of buying in areas we need strengthening, I renewed, as did many others.

Hey, and guess what? This week I received a letter from Arsenal, from Russell Bodycomb, head of hospitality, that a small number of Club level tickets have been released and if I bought one or introduced a friend, they would give me a FREE meal in the buffet for each ticket sold. Wow, a FREE meal!

So what about the waiting list then? It would also explain the huge amount of empty seats I see at the ground, it’s not just club level, it’s all over, yet again another great example of Arsenal and the economy with the truth. Get us to sign up and then spend nothing.

Please don’t tell me we bought Vermaelen, he was out of the so called £13 million budget for transfers, Arshavin was out of last seasons Hleb money and since then we sold Kolo and Adebayor.

Arsene said he would only buy if the player he bought was better than what we have, so in that case, by definition, we must have the best players in the world then.

Enough said, I just wanted to share that latest little fib with you all.

Yes I know we have had a great start, but one swallow doesn’t make a summer, and yes 4-3-3 is proving a big hit, so why didn’t he think of that one last year, we had over 60 games to try it.

Anyway I move on, I mentioned Faye White yesterday and saying how she broke her jaw against Holland, my mistake, it was against Finland, however the final starts tonight against Germany at 5pm on BBC2, the Germans have already booked their winners party, I hope you all join me in watching and cheering the girls on to victory.

Cesc scored yesterday and Andre had a blinder, no one from Arsenal played for England so I have no idea what happened in that game, save Eduardo scored, but Robin had a nice little square up with manc thug Darren Fletcher, he was probably telling him he wasn’t going to South Africa, ha, ha! Justice for our little Croatian done in Scotland.

Tomas Rosicky joined us in 2006, since he joined he has played a massive 44 games for us, that’s 5 less than Denilson played last season, however you’ll be pleased to know Tomas managed to play an hour for the Czech national side last night in their game against San Marino, now I expect to see Tomas affording the club that have paid his wages for the last 3 years the same respect. I expect to see Tomas starting against Man City.

That’s about it today, not a bitch fest, but just another example of the fans being deceived by the club we all love, but we’ll keep paying because it’s our team, it’s just a shame they feel the need to keep having us over. Remember last season? We just asked for clarity and honesty, ho, hum.

Have a great day Grovers, I’m in and out and Pedro’s off to some concert, so if you’re new please be patient, I’ll get to you, I promise.

Ah ok BBK, that sucks, I thought Theo was certain to be back. Cesc too is a fucker! Maybe Ramsey will get a start if he doesn’t make it

  2. tomstoned

    Dutchman mate…

seems to me like Bendtner gets a kick out of playing up front in the middle…Denmark gives him that chance..and well he loves it and proves that with two magnificant goals…maybe its time Wenger uses him as Our front man ?…

    tom..

  3. Jaguar

If Bendtner has proved his worth as a front man,Wenger would continue using him in the right wing.He desperately wants to prove others wrong, which he eventuallyf fails to.

  4. A

I reckon so David, though probably more likely Diaby Song Denilson I guess, again probably depend on fitness of people back from internationals. Anyone watch the Russia game and see how Ramsey played?

  5. Keyser

Jaguar – Are you another impersonator of someone ? I can’t tell anymore, so many people trying to live up to others standards.

  6. Dutchman

I don’t get wenger tactic. He plays VP in the front, where bendtner is better there(you can see it,because for denmark he plays well there)RvP plays in Holland on the right where he is a better player. But wenger is stubborn. Wenger plays diaby and aboue ahead of wilshere or vela or ramsey????? Why I don´t know. This squad isn´t as bad as it is, Look at the players who are injured we still have this team for saturday.

    almunia
    sagna,gallas,vermealen,clichy
    denilson,fabregas,song
    VP,Bendtner,Eduardo

    Still good squad

But wenger think the other way.

    almunia
    sagna,gallas,vermealen,clichy
    denilson,fabregas,song,diaby
    VP,Bendtner

Why wenger thinks that diaby is better than eduardo???? Wenger if you play not with my firts team, than you´re a facking shit manager. You are tactical useless ,mr wenger!!

  7. David

I fully Expect Denilson and Diaby to play…Wenger love children and not good enough to get into the International team but obviously good enough for Arsenal Starting XI ( ) Rosicky is a question mark.

Cesc will play because he has to. HE just has to.

So its DIaby Cesc Denilson as our Mid 3. Rosicky for Arshavin?

  8. A

    What question Jaguar?

Vieira left to make space for Cesc, Gilberto and Flamini went, Ramsey, Song and Denilson filled their places.

Very different situations, apart from Flamini.

Rosicky was still very much part of Wenger’s plans, and integral to them. In terms of experience and quality it was such a loss, and an unexpected one, that a replacement was needed.

All the other departures were planned and expected, apart from Flamini, and when he left Wenger tried to get someone in, but failed.

  9. Geoff

Rob you said Wenger said he would walk if he was told who to sign, he also said last year, judge me in May, and at the Q&A when he was judged, he went spare.

He is like a medieval King, he simply cannot be questioned, he knows everything, unless of course you bring up Flamini and Diarra.

  10. Dutchman

BBK, if fabregas is out too, Then we lose again with 3/0. Why always Arsenal with the injuries, Wenger look at your trainings!!! Stubborn man!! IT´S FACKING INCREDIBLE HOW MANY INJURIES WE HAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HOW CAN IT BE!! IF PEOPLE ARE BACK FROM INJURIES OTHER PLAYERS GOING IN,AND WHY ALWAYS THE GOOD PLAYERS. WHY NOT DENILSON OR EBOUE OR DIABY?????

  11. Jaguar

Keyser,I dont want to be an impersonator. The people who sing the glory of Arsene, conveniently ignore his tactical mistakes and his obsession with his prodigal sons. What excuse would they offer for recruiting a mancunian scum called shitvestre on a two year contract, when Gilby was dumped for the same reason.Wenger keeps promising to his fans, that he would buy,and he never does.He is a hypocrite.

  12. Geoff

I could have told Wenger not to buy an injury plagued crock like Rosicky.

Dortmund bought him for £18mil and two years of injuries on we get him for £7.5mil, doesn’t take a rocket scientist to work that one out does it???

  13. Geoff

Wenger is a great, great coach, the football his teams play is awesome.

He is however a poor manager. In my humble opinion.

  14. A

At least we didn’t pay the £20 mil that Liverpool paid for Aquilani Geoff, and he didn’t arrive injured!

That really is the most ridiculous transfer deal I’ve ever seen, incredible

  15. Dutchman

David, SONG????? You know that song will play and he is good. Why diaby play as song plays every match for arsenal he is a player who is sure for his place in our first eleven. Diaby isn´t. I will bet oyu that song will play. And if that wenger will play with denilson, diaby, song. Then he must go with his facking tactic!!!!

  16. gazzap

the defence and keeper pick themselves. in midfield Den and Cesc will definitely start. The other should be Song.
Other options are Diaby and Rosicky.
Ros could also play up front. But he played 60 mins yesterday so while he may come on as a sub its highly unlikely Ros will start. Ramsey is the only other real option but very unlikely to start.

Up front. you’d expect Nik B and RVP to start. the other would probably be Eduardo. But the options are Eboue, Rosicky and I beleive Walcott is fit again.

I’d be surprised if any of Diaby, Theo, Ros or Eboue start the game.

  17. rob green

so we have played 5 games thsi season and we have already had the below injuries

    C Vela
    C Fabregas
    T Walcott
    J Djourou
    T Rosicky
    L Fabianski
    S Nasri
    A Arshavin

    What a joke!!

  18. David

    Yea sry Dutchman

We had this discussion yesterday we dont know if Song will play because of Travel time…the fact that he played the whole 90min…etc…etc…

  19. Jaguar

Not even a lunatic would argue that either of Diaby/Denilson would live up to the standards set by Flamini.Diarra was no mug either.I would buy your argument if you meant that the combined efforts of Diaby,Denilson and Song would add up to a maximum of half of the efforts of Flamini.Ramsey havent played a full competitive game as a proper defensive midfielder. So that takes him out of the question.

  20. Dutchman

Daivd, oh no???? I see some matches of Denmark and he plays very well there. But here in the Emirates he plays outwide, every game. He hasn´t play in a 4/3/3 formation, where he is the front man, isn´t it= And people in the Emirates booed bendtner, you must trust him and not boo him. Then he plays a lot better. Give that boy a chance. Shit, what are arsenal fans stubborn and the worst home supporters in this life.

  21. Mayank

Geoff perhaps he’s not as good a man manager as fergie but he’s by no stretch a poor manager. One does not become one of the top coaches in the world by being a bad manager. As for his tactical ‘naivety’ i think every manager makes tactical mistakes(rather takes chances tactically). Only they are not mistakes until you lose. SAF would have been blasted for his defensive formaton had MU lost.

  22. Helsinki Gooner

Regardin the ladies – Gotta be givin them support tonight – lots of past and present gooners in there (White, Chapman, Bassett, Scott, Carney, K.Smith, Sanderson), and it’s a FINAL, against ze Germans…

Should be a cracker of a match – seen a few of em this tourney, and the ladies game has definitely improved (even the ‘keepin ain’t bad)…off now for pre-match bevvies, then to the stadium :)

  23. A

Well that’s your opinion Jaguar, saying that “not even a lunatic….” doesn’t magically make you right.

Flamini = Denilson and was < a level that Song has reached at times, he was very overrated with us, and benefited massively from the system and players around him, I never thought he was going to be a regular for us for years to come, even though he did have one very good season for us where he fitted the system perfectly.

  24. tomstoned

Geoff i wouldnt go that far .. :) and of course we can question his choices…still he has got it fairly right this year…
i think may poeple in here has interesting and good points when it comes to team line up’s,still the one thing we all miss..is the daily contact with the players..so what we do is mostly guessing…

and i must say most of the players Our Beloved Arsenal *have been linked*to,would never make it..

im NOT a AKB..still i would rather have Wenger as a manager than anyone in here(myself included)..

and to give some perspective…most people thinks the world of Fergie…to me ..ha has this year been awfully wrong…and will pay the price manu looks in no shape to contend for the title…and plays some really shitty football…

    nope ill keep Wenger ……

Dont forget We have a truly fantastic team..and we will smash manc to kingdom come…

    tom

  25. Jaguar

You should have asked this question to the board, which charges its fans, the most exorbitant of ticket charges to watch a team where a scum reject is a backup to the left back, and a headless chicken plays in the central midfield.

  26. Dutchman

Guys, do we think we will win against city now???
    The team will be almunia,clichy,gallas,vermealen,sagna
    denilson,song,fabregas,VP,Bendtner,Eduardo,do we win???

  27. A

Zorro it’s Denmark, and it’s a 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1 with Jon Dahl Tomasson playing behind him, though he still moves around alot. His goal against Portugal ironically started out with him getting the ball on the right wing, and then arriving in the centre for the cross later on in the move

  28. Dutchman

I think that wenger is one of the most worst tactical managers in the world. Why play always diaby, denilson, eboue. When you have ramsey, walcott, vela, wilshere and eduardo??????
Then you are very very bad.

  29. Jaguar

I think we will still win against City, and we are gonna make a dramatic improvement from last years performance by finishing in third place.

  30. Geoff

Mayank go back to the Gilberto loss at 30, still captain of Brazil, the Diarra loss without tying Flamini down, the Flamini loss for nothing and then Diarra being sold on for £20 mil, regardless of a sell on clause. Oh and we end up with none of them.

That to me is bad management, if I did something similar in business, I’d be on the rock and roll in a heartbeat.

  31. Mayank

Song?denilson played with a MF of Diaby Walcott and eboue. 3 masters in the art of losing the ball in the wrong position. Flamini played with Fab, Rosicky and Hleb. I hope you can see the difference.

  32. David

    Its not Ironic A,

It is typical. When he’s not drifting outwide to receive the ball particularly on the right…he’s on the ground in an aerial 50-50 challenge.

  33. Mayank

Geoff this is not a business in the typical sense of the word, you’ve said that many times yourself on the blog. The players’ mentality is a lot more volatile than in other professions. The reason being the wide range of options they have and the lack of sanctity of a contract due to the various rules to protect a player.
Wenger trusts his players too much – he said that himself that you can’t be in this business and be cynical of your players commitment – and that is his biggest folly.

  34. tomstoned

and one little reminder…to all of you who still shouts about flamini…remember ha had only one good season..was nothing before and is nothing now..could it be that flamini….like hleb, and many others isnt really that good ..but rather played in a system (Our Beloved Arsenal)that made them look better than they really are…

flamini…take a hike..in my eyes that money grabbin son of a b…isnt worth a shit….im glad we’re rid of him..he’s right up there with ade…and to be english cashley and bentley..true idiots..

    tom

  35. A

Geoff it isn’t as simple as all that though.

We couldn’t guarantee Gilberto regular first team football and he needed it to keep his Brazil place, so wanted to leave.

Diarra demanded a move to try and get into the France side, and refused to go on loan, so there was nothing we could do. By selling him then, with a big sell on clause, we got alot of money out of it, and had he stayed it isn’t like we would have gotten £20 mil when we’d sold him. There were obviously big issues behind the scenes, the bloke was obviously a complete turd, which is why Chelsea, and we let him go, despite his having some footballing ability there.

  36. Jaguar

Wenger is not ruthless enough.Mayank,if he trusts his players too much, why doesnt he play them in their natural positions, when he (supposedly) knows that they would do better. Its poor management and strategy.

  37. Mayank

It’s funny that ‘well he didn’t help us win anything did he?’ stick is used to beat everyone but Flamini. He’s the only player to have grown in stature everyday he’s not been here.

  38. tomstoned

    zoRRo mate

Bendtner plays for Denmark..and if you look back in time ..Denmark actually has always been a quite good team..with alot of great players …

    tom

    im Norwegian mate…lol..

  39. Mayank

Jaguar, if Wenger plays everyone in their preferred position we’ll have too many players for a few spots and too few for others. Why did fergie play Rooney out wide when CR7 was there, ’cause he didn’t trust him to play at CF? no ’cause he trusted him enough to play out of position for the teams sake. That’s what managers do. Arsh said it himself that playing at LS has been better than he expected. Sometimes managers know more about a players abilities than the player himself.

  40. charybdis1966

That’s my conspiracy theory for the day: Get one of your ex managers (recently departed manager, in fact) to play an unfit member of his national squad so that his groin injury is aggravated by completing the full 90 minutes. That way the only other member of the top 4 lose a key player for 4 games upwards so that it’s easier for you(Chavs) to depose the Spuds at the top of the table.
Take a bow Hiddink & Kenyon.
    Simples.

  41. Keyser

Geoff – If you did something similar ? Yeah if thats the only case you look at, and honestly if that one passage of management was your only contribution to a company I’d question why they hired you in the first place.

Honestly, you’ve said thats the worst piece of management you’ve seen in your footballing lifetime, are you serious ?!

  42. Jaguar

Mayank, its because we dont have proper wingers, that we have to draft Diabolical to the left wing.Arsene is obsessed with converting central mids to wingers. The success of an Henry or Pires doesnt mean that,it can be emulated with Tom,Dick or harry.Eboue, who was one of the best right backs in Europe is a joke now, thanks to the tactics of the ‘best manager’ in the world.

  43. Mayank

Jaguar, look around at other teams that do not play the crossing game, you won’t find may wingers there, imo wingers are becoming less and less important to the modern game. I think playing w/o wingers allows us to be more compact and play more as a team. As for eboue the best right back in europe, he lost his place at RB to a superior player.

  44. Keyser

Ebway’s awesome, he might not be the best midfielder in the World, but he’s almost Ian Wright like in his finishing at times.

  45. Jerseygooner

    Hello everyone,

My god we are negative today! Geoff if you mention the selling on of Diarra and the subsequent loss – i agree BUT you cannot argue that AW has been poor in the transfer market. We have had a few bad deals but lots more great ones.

  46. Dutch

If theres one player who I think will make it, then it is bendtner. He moves much, works hard,I believe he can finish, can header, has lots of goals on his 21,has skill. But he must play in front of arshavin and VP, Vp and arshavin have a good cross and bendtner can header very good. I think that bendtner is already good enough for arsenals number 9 but give him time!!!

  47. Dutch

You can talk about wenger that he plays players in different positions thats a fault but what about the choices of players. I think that ramsey is better then diay and denilson. I think that wilsherer or vela better are then eboue. Agree??

  48. tomstoned

and i have one more issue..and its a big one

Why does some make this out to be a make or break season..its daft..this is only one more steppin stone towards world Domination…we will not be at the peak this season…but in a couple of years will be there…it does not mean however that we’re not great already and will swoop the floor with most team this year..we are the most fantastic team in the world..barca go hide..we’re coming for you…cesc is from what i can see far better than any other spanish player this year, and proved it once again yesterday….nope Our Beloved Arsenal is the *real deal* :)

    tom

  49. charybdis1966

Not bad Tom – only 8 days till I see the boys in red and white after meeting up with Le Groves finest at THE S + B before we trash Wigan. Hope you’re getting excited about the end of the bad(for Gooners) international break.
Sadly we won’t be seeing my favourite current player there for oh well, let’s sing his song in his absence.
HE’S FIVE FEET FOUR, HE’S ONLY FIVE FEET FOUR.
WE’VE GOT ARSHAVIN, WHO’S GIVES A FUCK ABOUT ADEBAYOR.

  50. tomstoned

great Charybdis i hope youre gonna have a great stay :) ,i agree about Arshavin ..but not worried..even though it seeemed like a stupid thing to do..playing him unfit..he’ll be back in a flash..

just enjoy mate..watching the greatest thing since Elvis :) just better :)

    tom

  51. Jaguar

Tomstoned mate,I wish you were true, but I’m not naive enough to dream of it,because if we dont win this season,Cesc will be off to Barca/Real.So will be RVP.Arshavin wont be going anywhere for the time being. With three major players off(Cesc,RVP,Gallas),the rebuilding will start from the scratch.

  52. Coadsi

Did he quote those ages correctly or did they make this up?

    Excerpt,

Gunners boss Wenger also claimed England are now one of the favourites for the World Cup next summer.

Wenger added: “They are amongst the top favourites for two reasons: they have all the ingredients to be amongst the top favourites ~ they’re at the right age.

“This generation is at an age, 28 to 32, where you either deliver or you don’t. They are getting to the age where they can deliver. Secondly, they have the confidence and the time to prepare properly.

  53. tomstoned

    Jaguar mate..

1.Dont jump on the media created hype…there is absolutely no eveidence whatsoever that anyone of thoose players will leave…

2.Gallas is having the time of his life, never have ive seen a better and happier Gallas there’s no fuzz about him at all,and he will signe a new two year contract quite soon..im sure..

3..Senderos is off as soon as there is a buyer, that would make way for a new CB signing..

    4. i believe that a deal with Chamakh is already in place..

so to be honest dont worry mate…its all good :)

    tom

  54. Dutchman

Jaguar, It looks like what you say but I think that we have no real problem then. WE have much money(now but much more when these players are off) we have the wilshere, merida, ramsey adn coquelin(also Bartley for the CB) I think that we will have a great team then.
    fabianski
    sagna,Djourou,vermealen,clichy
    nasri,song,rosicky
    arshavin
    eduardo,bendtner

And this team is without buy. And for sure wenger will buy as VP,fabregas and gallas are gone.

  55. rayman

Wow i think a lot of people have had way too much coffee today. So Arsh gets injured, its annoying but its not the end of the world. Cesc and RVP are probably fine. We can still probably put out a front three of RVP, Nik and Eduardo, with Song, Cesc and Denilson behind them. Thats pretty tasty and i would hope enough to win, we are not a one man team. Diaby could play up front or in the middle as well if we needed him to due to another injury we might find out about tomorrow. Its not ideal but all teams get injuries, we can live without Arsh at City and still win.

As to it all being AW’s fault, well it looks like for this game we may be missing Theo, Nasri, Tom (almost back but not quite), Vela and Arsh. Now how is that Wengers fault? Theo, Arsh and Vela all got injured on international duty that AW could not prevent them going on. Tom we all know about and Nasri got a freak injury. The problem we face at City is possibly in attack yet most people here were looking for AW to strengthen CB / DM – even if he had done what most of us wanted we would still be down to bare bones on Saturday up front. On the other hand when a lot of these guys return (which for most is pretty soon) we will have an embarrassment of riches for the attacking and creative midfield slots.

I really don’t get the sudden swing in the tone of the blog post the Arsh being injured news. Jesus, reading this blog sometimes is like peeking into a nursery with all of the kids throwing their toys around and refusing to eat their petit filous or whatever it is infants eat.

  56. Carlos

we now have a world ix midfield quartette that will be out for a while yet :( (didnt’t mean to rhyme)

    A.Arshavin
    S.Nasri
    T.Rosicky
    T.Walcott

We need to sort this problem fast, with the likes of Djourou, Fabianski, Diaby and even Fab constantly picking up ‘knocks’ that then develop into long term injuries!

Maybe they should all retire from the international scene, that would be funny.

  57. Michael Wolinski

I’ve said it before, it seems someone (Gazidis? and others) bought into our club with the idea of making money from us. Anyone from outside would assume that with our selling/buying policy there is money to be made at Arsenal. We certainly take in about 3 times as much as we lay out! Why are we the only top club that has billionaire owners that are unwilling to spend any of their own money at the club? What’s the point of having them there? Excuse me for being cynical, but what is going on?!!!

  58. Arsenal Tom

choy if you find it re-post it please mate.

we’ll never have an ‘embarrassment of riches’ because we’ve always got injuries, always!

  59. charybdis1966

I tell you what guys, if ole 65% proof nose was in charge of our lot he would have forced international retirement on them the way he did with that ginger twat, Scholes.
And no wonder the sheep shagging, chest wigged Giggs er has played on for so long – Fergie had him rested up at every international break with a mystery injury that would always clear up in time for him to play the next game for the Manks.

  60. timao

if a defender fouls a striker (eduardo) in the box and then claims he didn’t – is that defender attempting to deceive the referee? will uefa step in and deal with these cheats please!

  61. paul

Fucking Sky have just shown the latest Wenger interview and showed eduardo diving against Celtic. They followed it with Fergusons interview and Guess what they showed.Twice in about three minutes for fucks sake

  62. nishanth

Just found out that arshavin is injured. He really could have avoided the match against wales.Anyways my team for the city match

    Almunia

    Sagna Vermaelen Gallas Clichy

    Song Diaby

    fabregas

    van persie eduardo/ramsey

    Bendtner

  63. choy

I doubt UEFA will do anything henceforth.. thats why i was so mad.

Eduardo was made the scapegoat, thats all.

Sorry AT.. looked at yesterdays post .. all i found was..

  64. Arsenal Tom

    city line up

    back 5
    song denilson cesc
    bentder rvp eddie

only others i can see playing are diaby for denilson and eboue for bendy

  65. Geoff

A you said he demanded a move, we should have said fuck off you cunt, you just signed a 4 year contract, the fact you think he’s a turd is way too convenient, I thought Wenger did psycho profiles before he buys.

It’s never Wenger’s fault in your eyes is it A.

Keyser, yes, completely dreadful, we end up losing 3 great players for £5mil and a sell on, complete shit management.

  66. timao

A – i have given some thought to that issue and my belief is that this is the one position where size and strength really matter. I can’t think of any male goalkeepers who are 5 foot seven and 9 stone wringing wet. in my view this is an unfair handicap. women’s football goals should be made about thirty per cent smaller to compensate. it would enhance the game.

  67. BOY BETTER KNOW

lolll geoff darker reasons you don’t want to have a sex change do you and go and have a trial for arsenal ladies team

I agree to an extent timao, regarding goals being smaller, likewise the pitch should probably be a bit smaller too.

However the goalkeeping errors you see in women’s football aren’t a case of keepers not being able to reach the ball, the get there, but just miss it, or drop it, and I really don’t get why. Maybe the balls should be made a bit lighter and smaller?!

Don’t know why and no offence but just can’t get myself to care about womens football.. or any other sport for that matter.

The English keeper is worse than Almunia, she’s short, slow and can’t make a save, I’ve seen her save one, her own player almost scored one too, she was nowhere near that either!!!

I don’t know why England bothered with a keeper, they may as well have had another forward, everytime the squareheads have attacked, they’ve scored.

Yea Geoff…the 4th goal was comical…there had to be about 50 white shirts behind the ball defending but someone a simple cross and a simple header and goal.

That German bird has to be a bloke. Fucking ugly and a six a clock shadow.

And what looks suspiciously like a set of bollocks.

I’m off I can’t watch this shit, and this is why I left Arsenal when the third Manc goal went in, I couldn’t stand it. Night all.

If you all have beautiful wives and girlfriends then the slating of the ladies team is warranted but some of them look ok even if they are lesbo’s. I certainly would be looking at them going at it. Footall I mean ;-)
