Theo and Rosicky on their way back? What about Nasri? And great news about Djourou!

by & filed under Uncategorized.

According to Wenger Theo and Rosicky are on their way back, but by my reckoning, Nasri’s 6 weeks is up about now. That will make for an interesting line up against Man City this weekend.

In theory we should be back to our best starting 11 against Man City, but what is our best starting 11? His intent seems to be a midfield of Cesc, Denilson, Diaby and Song, with a smattering of Eboue in there somewhere, my midfield would be a bit of both.

I would go for Nasri, Cesc and one of Denilson or Song, with Arshavin, Robin and Rosicky up top, then I would then alternate Bendtner, Walcott and Eduardo and I would do that every game, mix it up.

That way we would have our plan B with 3 new faces every time, that would be difficult to play against because then you almost have two different teams, I sure wouldn’t wait till the 70th minute, unless of course we were comfortably winning.

Some will say we were unlucky against the Mancs, so if that is true, then we ought to beat City, we do seem more solid and gritty in the middle this year, but I think that’s more down to playing 4-3-3 and chasing the ball down than with any kind of transformation in the players ability department.

I am looking forward to seeing what formation we have against the new biggest spenders, but if we go at them from the off, we could take them apart, they seem to have had a few games where they’ve been hanging on this season and if we can get ahead early doors, we could do an Everton, everyone has to concentrate though and everyone needs to turn up.

In Arshavin, Nasri, Diaby and Rosicky we do have players that can hit the ball from distance so they will be a tad defensive, I can see them putting Beyonce up front on her own and we all know how much that bitch hates that, don’t we!

Let’s hope Kolo comes out swinging, it would be nice to see him getting us a penalty for once. Shay Given is a good goalie but the rest of them aren’t as good as we are, I fully expect us to win this one, we seem to have the players coming back and that at least gives us options.

Great news is that although Djourou is out until next April, Wenger thinks he’ll be back early, like March, I sure hope so, he’ll make such a difference.

Yes, I was being sarcastic!

Have a great day Grovers, who would you pick!

wow no action for over 1 hour on Le grove prior to midnight !

yes i agree we havent had too much to really chat about in the off season 2 going 1 coming , all rather uneventful ..

i look at players like modric – lennon – lescott etc . ( eg young players who are not arsenals )

and i dont see much improvement over all in there games either , so to say song – denilson
    - diaby – eboue are just a bee’s dick away from doing a flamini is pretty remote ..

i think over time a TEAM with a new tactic might work better overall , but i think very few players get A LOT better individually that its noticeable .

Sure i think modric ( like song) are playing better due to their understanding of the league now, but to turn into the next zidane , well youll need to leave that to nasri :)

i think the only way to truly get results is to get in new personnel .

i think currently we are a team that just wasnt quite good enough on the day , or UNLUCKY ..

Arsenal fans would make bad gamblers ..

spot on with van/Rosi and arsha up front, finaaaaally some isnt picking theo above rosi, coz a half fit rosi is better than a fully fit theo 4 me.glad we will have more options now, especially up front and creativety wise, even defence i think we are more or ike covered, maybe missing that BIG cb we all asked for but we should be fine as long as willy and verla stay fit.
got a feeling ADE will score against us tho,but he will still lose obvsly!!
Citez 1 arsenal 3……………put ur bet on that!!

I believe positivity is a stronger force than negativity. I mean I’m all for negativity when it’s due but 3 games into a season? C’mon, honestly? Song is this, Denilson is that, Eboue is both…doesn’t it become slightly tiring after a certain point?

Everyone has players they dislike, hell, I have tons, but when people keep repeating themselves the accusations of shitness begin to lack credibility and just end up sounding like aggressive ramblings.

I agree with Ethan, fresh quality faces would definitely help in a long season, (especially one interrupted by an African Nations Cup) but what can you do? I don’t see how complaining is going to help.

Arsenal fans are usually well aware of quality so it’s strange that people spend most of their time complaining about 4 or 5 players when a quick glance to the other side will give you Van Persie, Rosicky, Fabregas, Arshavin, Nasri, Eduardo, Sagna, Wilshere and perhaps if he keeps it up Vermaelen.

Every team has a few duds, but don’t get so caught up over it and try to enjoy the season. The way most people are going about it makes us look like a bunch of whinging, pessimistic and fearful set of fans.

Having said that the inability of the team to put the Man U game out of sight or at the very least lock down our lead was extremely frustrating. Holding a lead isn’t something you learn… just something you do.

sorry to disappoint you angelos but it doesn’t matter if you speak proudly or disrespectfully
of the team , it wont make a bit of difference .

the only difference is you do not look like a chump if you you dont buy into the teams fortunes this season ..

because to me its just another year when wenger promises miracles and its another year that they will fail to materialize …

if you think somethings changed this season then your kidding yourself ..

beat the easy teams and fail at the final hurdle V’s stiff opposition . its not talking out your ass , its based on the previous past 5 years !

man shitty will show you what spending some money makes to a team …
the chev’s did it , man U did it ..
and whilst we FAIL to do it

history is bound to repeat , it…

its called the law of averages ..

    I agree with u,

But we have No Control on this, transfer activities

    But according to me,

Our success will depend on two factors

    1) Injury free Centre backs
    2) Performance of Denilson & Diaby

If these 2 factors work in our favour,we can Definitely challenge for the Title/Cups

  6. Sabeel Indian Gunner

See,we have to live with that we have….and the above 2 factors are deciding factors for us,according to me..
