So the latest rumour is Kalou, because the Chavs don’t want him and Wenger did a few years ago, I like Kalou but not in ACN year, and he won’t bring to the party what we need right now.

huntelaar is more than a 15 goal a season striker, provide him with chances and he’ll score.. if he plays regularly he should score around 25..

So if Kolo leaves for £14m can we, the fans, be forgiven for thinking that there is over £40m sitting in Wenger’s wallet that is likely to do nothing more than gather dust? We should definitely buy Hangeland, we should definitely buy a new DM and we should probably buy Huntelaar!

Barbie…let’s not go there…has the “potential” but can’t rely on him. He may come good. He may not (just yet).
Vela…same story…will not be thrown in the den…will be bred in gradually….
vala and bendtner are hardly good enough to shoulder the majority of the goal scoring burden for a club gunning for the league title… not to mention vela and rvp can hardly play in the lone striker’s role should we decide to go 451 which i suspect we might in atleast the bigger games.
Rohan, I think bendtner is more than good enough to perform the role for us. He is way better than Adebayor ryte now and when Ade scored 30 goals I guess bendy can score 20 plus for sure. I agree that Vela is not there yet but I can tell you that the natural position of both RVP an Vela is more central. In most of the matches, Rvp has done well as a central striker. arshavin, rosicky and walcott can take the flanks besides we have nasri comin in
injury thing is a real threat even though we are heavy on strikers… and those who are not injury prone are not up to tht level…i hope nikki b and vela perform this season

so this might lead to buying a striker
i wouldnt go as far as saying he is better than adebayor, but he is stil on a learning curve and i don’t think it is fair on any of us to have him shoulder the role of being arsenal’s main striker.
arshavin rvp vela and to a certain extent bendtner are all second strikers..they arent target man..
eduardo is but since you can’t guarantee his fitness i would love to have someone like huntelaar in.
i would have huntelaar and van persie as first choice strikers with bendtner eddie and vela as backup of the bench.
arshavin i suspect will continue to play on the left hand side of midfield with rosicky and nasri vying for the right…

Mark, Gallas is a world cup, euro championship and prem winner… JD is hugely under rated in my opinion and passing a judgement on our new £11million defender is a bit rash.
You can’t write the defence off before they’ve even started and you can’t assume Wenger wont replace Kolo and Senderos.
Gallas only got injured last year because of a freak accident and before he did get injured, we were looking really solid.
