White kit is revealed, Melo is gone enter Cana? Or will it be Nasri?

New Kit

Ok so it’s now official, Melo is not coming to Arsenal, but I have to say I’m pleased, I had never seen him and all I had read said he wasn’t that great, Cana has always been my first choice, outside of bringing the flamster home, but that will never happen and I know a lot of you don’t like him for jumping ship, so back to Cana.

I don’t believe in stats, I trust my eyes, as I have said many times before a player can have the most completed passes in football, but if they all go backwards, or to a player with three defenders on his back, then those stats are irrelevant, Lorik Cana is a leader, a tough tackler and one who will defend his mates with his life, we don’t have one of those and since Gilberto and Flamini went we have lacked that grit, so for me what he lacks in completed passes, assists and goal, he makes up for with the enforcer and leader tags, and we need both.

Whether or not he is on Wenger’s radar is another thing, I hope so because I’m getting bored with waiting for that Swan to arrive.

The only home ‘growner’ I would accept is if Diaby had put on a stone and learnt how to defend or if Nasri has bulked up, because I think Nasri can defend well, he tracks back a lot, I also like the thought of him and Cesc in the middle as I have often said we don’t necessarily need a DM, so Nasri would be somewhere in the middle of having one and not, if that makes any sense.

Denilson and Song though aren’t ready yet, so Cana is still my preferred choice to partner Cesc.

Talking of Swans, Arsenal have unveiled the new third kit, which I have to say I quite like, well initially anyway, if the club are going to rip me off some more, it may as well be for a shirt that doesn’t make me look like a thug, or more of a thug whichever way you look at it! (kidding by the way)

Not quite sure I understand the logic of a third kit as we didn’t use one at all last season, well not that I can remember anyway.

So we finally got shot of the gamble that was Bischcoff, what a waste of time that was, who suggested we brought him over, who told Wenger he was talented??? He was okay, but to be bought injured? Go figure!

I think we have a large squad now, we just lack some key players, hopefully he will sign Cana and a defender, but hopefully he will sell problem child Adebayor, I really cannot understand why he is acting like a victim and Wenger is siding with him. He says we shouldn’t believe what the papers say and it’s not his fault Milan were after him. Oh and of course the mandatory ‘ I love this club’

Bollocks, you love yourself, we saw the Sky interview where you were pledging loyalty one minute and saying you would talk to Milan the next, then you demanded a huge rise and you got it. Then you have a shit season, mmm, perhaps there’s something in why the fans don’t like you anymore. And I will never forget you headbutting a young Bendtner, you horrible arrogant bully, that was cowardly, headbutting is like spitting. How’s this for a new song them -

‘Adebayor, Adebayor, we’ve had enough, so show him the door’

So to sum up, you are no victim, you have brought this upon yourself, there is no place for you in our hearts anymore, so go.

If we could get anywhere near £25mil for him, then we could add £5mil and sign Arsenal lover Benzema, that would be awesome and Arsene, the fans would love you even more for it, that combined with buying Cana would show real intent, it would show teams like ManU that money isn’t everything and your footballing philosophy counts for something, him and Robin would be so exciting to watch going at goal.

I had someone come on yesterday asking me why I didn’t post his comment, well this was his previous comment so I thought I would share it with you.

This site is bare shit!!!
You’re a mug mate!!!
SHITTY SITE

And he even put Shitty in caps! And then they wonder why I put them into moderation, odd aren’t they??? Even more pathetic is the fact that the poster of this comment owns their own site that posts 15 rehashed stories a day.

Anyway I have a feeling we will sell big Phil, but if we don’t replace him with a big monster of a centre half I would keep him and sell Silvestre. I would still go for swapping Eboue for Sakho plus cash because we know that next year if Sackho steps up Madrid will have him for £25mil. That and Wenger has Eboue down next year as a right winger again and we all know that doesn’t work.

We are now in July and have what, 17 shopping days left to Christmas, well Christmas to us of course because the 18th sees the return of pre-season, I can’t wait, go on Santa, get us some quality presents now, please!

Have a great day Grovers.

That’s my point BBK. How many times are we kicked off the park? Okay i’ll agree sometimes we play like pansies but most of the time i’m screaming on the ref through the telly for allowing the tackles they do. The refs allow negative play to break the rhythm of our play be it in the form of a bad tackle or time wasting. This attitude is glorified by the commentators et al so the league ends up poorer and we end up in 3rd or 4th position.

  2. Stu

    Ex-fucking-actly Mark.

Lets buy a defender that isnt wanted by a midtable team in a lesser league. Thats a recipie for success.

  3. Geoff

Thing is what can Madrid win with their spending?

La Liga – so what it’s their turn now

Kings Cup – That’s like our worthless cup

    Champions league

    That’s it.

  4. BOY BETTER KNOW

this cana guy has been hyped up so much it wouldn’t surprise me if he was a load of bollocks

  5. Maciek

Arindam, spot on mate. Sometimes I think that our sc-ing network ends up somewhere in France or Africa. And there is a big number of many quality players in Europe.

  6. Mayank

Geoff they want to be called the best team in the world like those mean catalans were, its a collective ego gone out of control. But what’s worse building a team that came 2nd to a extraordinary barca team or spending 200m to do the same thing.

  7. ReVELAtion

    Casillas

    Ramos Albiol Pepe Marcelo/Heinze

Apart from a left back and centre half they aren’t far off now..

  8. Pat

The Copa del Rey is equivalent to the FA Cup.

I’d take Flamini back over any CDM out there. He is just what we need. A slow brute won’t necessarily be good for us.

Btw, did you guys know that 19% of goals scored against us came from outside the box?

  9. Mayank

Interesting stat Pat, it confirms what we already knew our MFs don’t close down oppo players soon enough.

  10. ReVELAtion

I forgot madrid were on the verge of buying arebeloa.. I think they’ll end up spanish back 5

    casillas

    arbeloa ramos albiol ???

    CANA COMING TO CAPITAL
Reports in France claim Arsenal are set to beat Tottenham for the £15 million capture of Marseille midfielder Lorik Cana. Hamburg are the only club to have made a concrete bid for the Albanian international, but Spurs could be more successful in an attempt to lure Atletico Madrid captain Maxi Rodriguez to the Premier League. The Argentine internatonal, 28, would cost between £10 million and £12 million.

  12. ReVELAtion

funny Van Nistelrooy has had his no.9 taken from him… Who’ll wear it Ronaldo or Benzema? Because Ronaldo cannot have 7

  13. Coadsi

Reva i suspect CR09 and KB10 while RvN will be playing in some geriatric leauge like germany or the MLS

  14. ReVELAtion

DAVID Villa appeared closer to signing with Barcelona following a reported meeting yesterday with the Spanish champion’s sporting director Txiki Begiristain.

The Valencia striker, who has just returned from playing for Spain at the Confederations Cup, ate with Begiristain yesterday according to newspaper El Comercio. It said an agreement in principal had been reached between the club and the player.

Chelsea and Manchester United are also vying for the 27-year-old striker’s services, with Real Madrid pulling out of the running last week after balking at Valencia’s reported asking fee of 50 million euros (US$70 million).

Villa scored three goals for Spain at the World Cup warmup event in South Africa, and is coming off a season in which he scored 28 goals – the third best tally in the league.

  15. Coadsi

Maure has 80 mil to spend and no one to spend it on. everyone they are linked with deciding not to go there (Benzema, Ribery, Villa etc). i guess Rooney and Berb are not big enough attractions. they have so far only manage to sign the black Michael Jackson look a like, and even then wigan wanted more because everyone knew they had 80mil. Makes u wonder, in this environment which one is worse; to have the dough or allegedly not

  16. Stu

I thought Van Nistelrooy was 17 or something. Saviola was 9 for tem last season. Hence his departure has made the nmber available.

  17. Coadsi

Fun times indeed Mayank. u r correct stu RvN wore Num 17 and Saviola 9 but they gave 17 that to Dani Parejo. i am also trying to remember what number M Diarra had before as well.

  18. Stu

Yeah, he was 6. When Diarra and RVN were confirmed to be out for the season they gave their numbers and places to Huntelaar and Lass.

  19. Stu

I had forgotten about Maduro at Valencia. Versatile defensive player. Former captain of the dutch u21 championship winning team and comfprtable in either defence or midfield. Plus Valencia have financial problems so he would be fairly cheap. And at about 24 he is at the ideal age to grow up with this team.

Other than that Cana, Toulalan or Diarra.

  20. Coadsi

    Excerpt
Reports in Italy suggest Milan have turned to Peter Crouch after hitting problems for Edin Dzeko and Emmanuel Adebayor.

The Rossoneri have stated their primary targets for the summer transfer market, but both the Wolfsburg hitman and Arsenal striker appear to be beyond their financial reach.

According to Studio Sport, Crouch is the next name on the list, especially as he would fit in with the new 4m Euro salary cap at San Siro.

IF THIS IS TRUE (4 MIL SALARY CAP)IT MEANS ADE PROLLY WOULD NOT WANT TO GO TO MILAN AS HE WOULD NOT GET A PAY INCREASE

  21. el tel

    Hi Pat

At last a statistic against that twat in goal. I have been asking for many months on here for something like that. 19% scored from distance.

Like I have been saying no matter who we play in defence it is a complete waste with one of the worst keepers to play for a top Team.

The Mancs and many others don’t have the elusive iron man DM and they don’t let 40 yarders in at will.

Why exactly do so many teams even attempt outragious shots against us its because they have sussed out the Tapas Bar waiter we have in goal the so called shot stopper that gets beat time and time again from ridiculously long range shots.

Yes a DM would help close down the opponent but we will need 3 DM’s to shield the defence with him in goal.

He has the reactions of a slug, can’t make decisions and organises nothing but eh everyone likes him.

The Best Teams have the best Keepers. Fact.

  22. ManGoonian

    “That twat…”

You surely aint referring to Almunia??? Nah, coz that would be soooo stoopid, given how effin consistent he was last season, how many effin times he saved our bacons and how many fucking gr8 saves he made….

Jeeeez, my 1st post of the day and I have to defend one of our players of the fucking season…..

    Happy days

  23. ManGoonian

van der sar is average, has a solid defence in front of him…erm FACT!

    Tired, so very very tired….

  24. goonermichael

I’m glad RM got Benzema. It means the mancs can’t have him and let’s face it we were never going to

  25. ManGoonian

    goonermichael;

But United dont need Benzema… They got Valencia, they are sorted, well according to the Manc lovers in the media…

  26. goonermichael

United will struggle next season. They weren’t that good last year and they’ve lost thier best player and a player who scored some important goals

  27. el tel

The Flamster was not a great DM in fact he wasn’t a DM at all, the guys just worked his bollocks off all over the pitch.

Just some of the spectacular goals against from long range that I can remember.

    Giovanni (Hull)
    The C..t (Spuds)
    The dead Beatle (Spuds)
The best cunt in the world (Mancscum

There are many more that I can’t think of but sure others will.

The catstrophe at Stoke and against the Spuds plus the most important game in our recent History the thrashing at home v the Mancscum, not only was there a ridiculous 40+ yaeder but the other 2 goals were easy as the keeper was already on the deck before the ball was struck.

He has the glory from 1 match all season the away game at the Mancscum in CL we lost that too, yes he made 1 class save in that game the rest of the chances were frankly bad misses.

Going to work now so no more ranting.

  28. goonermichael

applying the logic about song and denilson that’s often (probably correctly) used on here. If Valencia was any good why weren’t the big boys in for him. tha mancsum got him unoppsed

  29. el tel

    Mangoonian

Yes Van Der Sar is average but he won the League 3 times in a row in a average Team as Goonermichael corrctly says.

Please name all these saves the keeper as made. he is poor in my opinion and I have been to most home games for 15 years in a row mate.

Attack me if you want but point out the times he supposedly saved our bacon.

  30. Stu

El tel, you are not alone. I dont like Almunia either. Maybe i dont hate his nearly as much as you but i dont rate him. He was great in the 07-08 season but then again who wasnt?

But i have given up on criticising him because i have accepted that Wenger wont get rid of him.

  31. Stu

I heard a stat that in the 11 clean sheet run vds made something like 19 saves. Probably not the exact figures but it was something ridiculas like that.

  32. ManGoonian

    el tel;

I aint gonna attack you fella… I just feel that Almunia deserves more respect. I NEVER rated him, until this
season and probably the last third of the 1 before.

He was unbelievably consistent and saved us; v the spuds away, v Bolton (twice) again away, our defence was extrmemly solid for a good spell last season, and he was a real factor in that.

For me, he is more than good enough to be part of a title winning team.

For me, it is as if people dont like a player and regardless of any improvements, etc, they continue to stick to that innitial view…

For me, he is quality and TBH, you are gonna fuck yourself right up coz he aint goin anywhere!!! :D

  33. Stu

I disliked Al at first because he wasnt good enough. Then i liked him, now i dont like him. For me he is just….meh. Still dont think he is great tho.

Its possible to win a trophy with an average-ish keeper but i would prefer a more commanding, vocal, confidence instilling one.

  34. el tel

Never mind then guys because we will always be liable to get done when it matters with him in goal.

I have many reasons for my dislike. CL final beaten 2 times at front post for starters. He never seems open to criticism and its always someone elses fault.

Clichy at Birmingham (A) oh by the way he got beat then from a free kick, most times a defender isn;t at fault from free kicks.

Gibbo slipped over but they still had him to beat yet he dived before the very average Park slotted it in.

I think Mad Jens got treated terribly after making a couple of mistakes yet he was the best keeper I think we have had since I started going in the late 60s.

  35. Stu

Jens is a facking legend. Proper fucking nutter! Loved him and although his antics were frustrating, they were part of his “charm”. Amazing keeper tho.

It was bullshit and awful double standards that he made 1 costly mistake and was dropped for the season. Yet Almunia made loads of mistakes and never lost his place.

  36. el tel

The league Champs in the past 5 years have had the best keepers imo.

Like us Liverpool have a keeper who is suspect and although they wwon the CL they let in many goals, they just got lucky. they also keep swapping defenders around but they too should look at the keeper.

Our defence are one of the best in the Prem but the keeper is a Middlesbro type.

Fabianski could be good but when are we going to give him the experience he will need.

Maybe the keeper coach Gerry Peyton is part of the problem.

  37. el tel

    Stu

Put yourself in the Mad ones shoes for that season mate. He knew that even though he was on the decline he was better than Almunia.

Jens showed great dignity in keeping himself relatively quiet.

Jens was great at 1 on 1s never conceded many long us or free kicks and he was being attacked without punishment from the opposition.

Its true there is no point discussing the keeper as we know his position is safe but imo there is no need to get a DM or defenders in if we just concede these 30+ yarders a DM can only cover one position through the middle.

  38. Stu

Agreed El tel. No point because hes going nowhere.

It would be interesting to find out who those 19% of long shots were scored on. If they were all on Al or some on Fabianski too. And how many goals that 19% was.

  39. ManGoonian

    choy;

Thats your opinion, you are wrong, but I wont hold that against you…
    #
You are still free to blog…. for now!

  40. el tel

    reggie

I heard about Furnell mate but never saw him play. Bobby Wilson was a legend and so was Pat Jennings and Big Dave until the pony tail, we had other decent keepers but Almunia is for me on the Geoff Barnett scale and Geoff was a shit stand in.

  41. ManGoonian

Erm , we’d have won the FA Cup semi if Almunia was in goal…. go figure???

You guys, what is it? Not enough negativity out there, you have to drag shite up from last season???

Cant we slate the new 3rd kit some more please???

  42. el tel

Choy imo VDS was ole red noses best signing in the past 5 years. They won nothing until they got him in goal. He is one of the best in the Prem. Luckily he will retire very soon.

  43. ManGoonian

Lets slate what we have while getting all rosey tinted and misty eyed about what we dont…. yep, thats how we do it round these parts….

    Fuck this shite

    laters haters

  44. SUGA3

ManGoonian – Szczesny will defo overtake Fabianski as number 1…

IMO, Fabianski is a keeper in the mould of Pool’s Dudek: some stunning saves, but generally shite…

Szczesny’s father used to be Legia Warsaw’s and Poland’s goalkeeper for some time, and was not too bad – if one is to believe in genetics + training received from the old man + our academy from the teenage years, then we have some exciting prospect on our hands ;-)

  45. el tel

We would have won that Semi if we had Arshavin playing. We will never know as it didn’t happen. We haven’t beat the Chavs much with Almunia in goal and we have conceded leads against them many times because of his poor keeping. It isn’t just Big Phil who is scared by Drogshit.

  46. el tel

    SUGA

I like Fabianski to Grobbellar, very eccentric but brilliant and Brucie won the lot (cheating Bastard)

  47. SUGA3

I believe Almunia is quality, and a true professional – never moaned about being number 2, waited for his turn and you have to say he really stepped up from Paris 2006…

  48. Stu

MG, what makes you think we would have won with Al in goal?

Drogshits goal was all Silvestres fault. Nothing to do with the keeper.

  49. SUGA3

still, Grobelaar had some mean defence in front of him, didn’t he?

as for goals scored against Al, the goals like Cuntley’s 40 yarder should never have happened, he was simply left with too much time and space, can’t blame Al for this, he nearly got it, his positioning was OK, as this could have gone anywhere…

  50. el tel

Thanks for the vid Choy makes me very happy. If only that save at the Mancscum was on it. bottom corner through a number of players and he got an hand on it.

    Jens the Legend.

  51. Stu

Great keepers win you things. Lehmann won us the fa cup final, got us to the final of the CL and if it wasnt for cuntley we would have won imo. But thats another story.

  52. el tel

    SUGA

He nearly got it is not acceptable. I nearly got a ticket for the Final in Paris but I watched it from a bar with many other Gooners. Not acceptable.

  53. ManGoonian

    choy;

Nah, just expect some level of support for the players, but thats too much for some on here…

Like how quickly the mistakes of players departed are forgotten too…

To be sooooo negative??? Really really odd behaviour, IMO.

    Suga;

Yeah, I agree with ya, Szwerny looks like a top prospect…

  54. SUGA3

Jens is a fuckin’ legend – I really felt for him when he was in the studio when Mancs wiped the floor with us in the CL semi…

  55. el tel

Lehman was in goal for the invincibles. this record will never be beaten in my lifetime. Nuff said.

  56. Stu

He was at fault for bentleys imo. He was too far off his line and when he got back ther he was still to far off his line, got the angles wrong, tried to palm it over but it went in. His fault for having his angles wrong.
Not to mention the ball went about 60 yards into the air so he should have had time to get back.

  57. ManGoonian

    Stu;

Didnt Lehmann get a red card??? But lets not mention that….

Fuck me! How far back we dredging here???

  58. gazzap

Fabi will be the dogs bollocks in time. he just needs to sort his decision making which will come in a couple of years. then he will be one of the best keepers in the world. he was too keen to impress this season.

anyone know what the prem average is for goals scored outside the box? 19% does not sound that high to me. would include all free kicks and lucky shots like Bentley. I am more worried about the other 81%!

  59. el tel

I can’t be positive to a person who never moans and is a nice guy. MAYBE HE KNOWS HOW LUCKY HE IS.

I love The Arsenal whoever plays for them but if they are unworthy I will say so.

Can you see this headline. REAL MADRID fight BARCELONA for the services of ALMUNIA. ARSENAL want 30 Mill. lol

  60. SUGA3

Stu, it was our lazy midfield that failed to close Cuntley down – fluke, nothing more, fucker is not that good…

    I’d say 70% mid – 30% Al…

  61. ManGoonian

How about the 2-2 with the spuds, where Jens almost threw the game for us when we winning 2-0??? Or the fact he got 8 effin bookings in 1 season? Or the lame shots he threw into his own net, the amount of tikmes he shouldve been sent off????

See? All that is alloowed coz we were winning shite… Its a different story now innit?

Lets see Almunia getting slated next season after we HAVE won sumfin again…

Nut lets not look at the big picture…

  62. el tel

Jens was ssent off but he didn’t send himself off, he was doing his job.

All 60 yard shots are lucky but doesn’t this make it sound worse for him. The free kick from that weasel cunt in the CL Semi was a joke. Anyone who watches football would know thta the Cunt was going to shoot, except the most important person that is.

  63. SUGA3

el tel, which keeper commands this kind of transfer fee?

Almunia is solid enough, all we need to do is sort out the defence and teach the midfielders they are not above tracking back…

  64. ManGoonian

    el tel;

That freekick and the fact it was allowed to go in was horrendous, should never have happened. BUT, all keepers fuck up from time to time and in the big scheme of things, taking the whole season into account, Almunia was one of our best performers, IMO. So, if thats the case, then the rest must have been absolute shite and should be sold ASAP!

Sorry, but i find it really difficult to indulge in player/club slating at this time of the season, coz if we are gonna be positive, then this HAS to be the time to do it, well for me it is anyways…

  65. ManGoonian

I mean, theres no chance of losing a game and we have the expectations of how players like Rosicky, Eduardo, etc to come back as well as new signings and a couple of yutes to come into the 1st team as well….

Im effin excited… dont tell the missus!

  66. SUGA3

reggie, as far as I remember Cesc and Denilson were at fault for not closing him down due to their poor communication and no leader being present – they’re too similar, not really complementing each other, IMO…

  67. SUGA3

reggie57, who is the keeper that would make you happy if we had him then?

    Championship quality?

    puh-lease…

  68. SUGA3

sorry mate, but Fabianski is pants and will be pants for the next 3-4 years or so, mark my words…

I have watched him a bit when he still played for Legia Warsaw and trust me, that’s how long it is going to take at this rate…

agreed on Friedel and Schwartzer tho – I’d have both of them…

  69. SUGA3

I really laughed my head off when I found out Paul Ince’s managerial ‘masterstroke’ – selling Friedel and bringing in Robinson :-)

  70. ReVELAtion

With it being silly season.. This might be a bit of a goer my source tells me:

    out:

    Adebayor – Chelsea 12m + Joe Cole
    Toure – Manchester City 14m
    Senderos – Hertha Berlin 5m
    M. Silvestre – Bordeaux/PSG nom.

    In:

    Cana – Marseille 12m
    Vermaelen – 10m
    J. Cole – p/ex
    Naldo – 8m

  71. SUGA3

trust me, Reggie, he is doing the same stupid mistakes as used to a few years back – he is simply not a natural and can’t catch the ball to save his life…

good shot stopper, no more – poor positioning, poor decision making, flapping at crosses and corners…

he may get better with training, but just watch out for Szczesny – at 23, he will be better than Fabianski at 27…

    what’s Ur source, ReVELAtion?

  72. ReVELAtion

    the source is called:

http://www.football-rumours.com … Fucking hilarious, just scroll down and read some of the make believe nonsense.. There are some however, that are either lucky or make sense to the deluded…

That rumour was posted a couple of days ago…. And we weren’t even linked with Naldo then…

  73. ManGoonian

I have heard Joe Cole maybe out the door at Chavs and I would take him as I have always rated him, although, where’d he play? Left wing? Oh OK, thats me answering my own questions now!

As for the other titbits Reva….

    Hmmmm

  74. ReVELAtion

Sorry ManG, but it’d be wrong of me to pretend i know Arsene Wenger’s, Cousin’s, Aunt’s Therapist now would it…

  75. SUGA3

I think our own Jack Wilshere is very similar to Joe Cole stylewise…

I guess he’d be a good signing, could show Jackie Boy a thing or two…

  76. Stu

I love how Gibbs is a back up for Sagna, Bendtner gone to Milan, Rosicky just got fit and is leaving and how Ivanovic is Manciennes back uo for the chavs.

  77. ReVELAtion

Well we need another proper wide man.. It makes sense i suppose. Has anyone seen Reyes play over the last year or so? He’s just been released by Athletico and is on a free.. Worth a punt? I used to love ‘im…

  78. Stu

I dont think he even got on for Benfuca so he probably hasnt played much over the last year or so. Yet another player who went downhill after leaving us.

  79. ReVELAtion

Stu The bindipper ones are the best:

They’re signing Aguero, Villa, Silva, Mata, Sniejder, Van Der Vaart & Keeping Alonso & Macsherano! FACT! Notice how many people use !FACT! Like their bullshit is important…

I read it first thing everyday, makes me giggle..

  80. Stu

Reyes might represent some unfinished business for Wenger. He is defo worth a punt. He would have something to prove to everyone that he still has the ability and especially on a free Wenger should go for it.

  81. BOY BETTER KNOW

joe cole wouldn’t want to come to a team that plays good football but wins fuck all he said so himself a lil while back

  82. ReVELAtion

It’s like when Beckham said he’d never leave manchester as it’s only downhill after that, before signing for madrid a week later…

Or, Benzema i’m staying with Lyon untill after the WC…

Or Adebayor saying he feels he isn’t performing because he’s lost the faith of the fans, after signing an 80k-100k a week contract…

    Basically footballers chat shit…

  83. SUGA3

true that, BBK, I just saw these quotes…

on the other hand, he would have quite an opportunity to show us, ‘Harlem Globetrotters’ how to win things…

plus, where would he go if he was to leave Chavs, West Ham?

  84. redbearer

Huntelaar is worth a gamble imo now that Madrid have signed up Benzema but BBC Football gossip says that AC Milan have switched their attention to Peter Crouch after Dzeko and more importantly Adebayor were deemed to be unavailable!

Still why would we want to keep him because I’m sure that 90% of Arsenal fans would like to see the back of him… Geoff please do a voting poll, the majority surely don’t want him at the club next season!

  85. ReVELAtion

He didn’t mention us as a team name anyway, just said he’d prefer to play in a team that wins things rather than one that plays pretty football…

Let’s be honest at the end of your carear you want to able to look back at medals, not video memories…

  86. ReVELAtion

No, Adebayor is getable… basically they aren’t going to pay the 30m euros we want… Same as last year.. Unless they want to come with the readies they can **** off.. Like talking about how they want him is going to get them a discount.. This is Wenger FFS… You only get to leave for cheap once you’ve accumulated enough Wenger gold stars on their arsene fc loyalty card… Fabregas is getting his in early… Almost got 10 points…

  87. ReVELAtion

I Just read that sUGA and he isn’t exactly slagging us off is he?. He makes valid points and as a professional you know the league is a marathon, not a sprint.. Jesus, he should get a badge for pointing out what the rest of the fans can see but the board can’t…

  88. reggie57

I would not want Joe Cole playing for us can anyone remember when he appeared in eastenders a few years back when he was a appy ammer fuckin hell talk about cringeworthy classic!

  89. Stu

I’d defo go for Huntelaar. Quality forward. One of my favourites actually. But he doesnt really fit into our “footballing system”.

Still tho…he is good enough to play for anyone. Holland play attractive football and he fits in there.

  90. ManGoonian

FFS! WE are talkin about a site that specialises in bullshit and we are discussing it???

    Goodnight and goodluck

And can someone make sure BBK isnt allowed anywhere near the cutlery drawer please???

    Ta

  91. ReVELAtion

Do you know how much that would really piss of the chelsea mob? hahaha! Plus, whether he played for the hammers or was in eastenders is not the point…

I don’t see anyone slagging of Fabregas for his “ultra cringeworthy Self important show” dubbed “The Cesc fabregas Show… God, i wanted to be sick when i saw the promo advert…

Here’s a hint Cesc, get back to concentrating on football

  92. ReVELAtion

Am i the only fan of the new 3rd kit? I really like it from the pics i’ve seen on the official website

  93. redbearer

Really can not see Joe Cole swapping Chavsville for us… he is more likely to fook off to Inter with Mourinho but still these Italian clubs do seem tight when even the Deco and Carvalho double deal broke down because Inter were only offering a minimal sum.. so he is more likely to go to Manc City!

I just would like to see us snap up a couple of players before pre-season begins.. has this alleged board meeting occurred yet? We need to find some extra cash more somewhere!

  94. Stu

I might be wrong on this but it appears that the picture of almunia is him NOT saving Geovannis shot at the emirates. What an odd photo to show.

  95. Stu

We might actually wear it more than expected. Especually with Burnley, West Ham, Rangers maybe. Basicaly against any team with Red-ish or blueish home shirts.

  96. choy

he is an ok goalie… luckily we have positions in dire need of upgradation otherwise he would’ve been slaughtered.

  97. redbearer

I must be the only one who thinks that these pin stripe shirts are rancid… plus I’m not a fan of the collars either! Who designs these uninspired editions? I really don’t think that our shirt sales will prosper this year… they look like some type of fancy tea towel design which the loaded MD’s would probably use to wax their brand new ferrari / aston martin with!

  98. ReVELAtion

lol, redbearer i take it you don’t like away kit or 3rd kit…

I’m not keen on the blue as there is no yeloow, but i reallly like the 3rd kit..

  99. ReVELAtion

red, the shirts could also be pink and sell provided we signed someone that generates a bit of buzz….

  100. ReVELAtion

i did like that one ManG, but i do like the 3rd kit, white or not… it’s 26 bentdner unless we sign someone worth getting excited about…
