Gibbs fires us to the European Cup final and Theo, trust the force.

That does have a nice sound to it does it not? and it was true, only it was Ingerland and not Arsenal, but Keiran Gibbs did indeed take the penalty that put us through against the dogged Swedes. You have to say we saw flashes of brilliance in Theo but mostly he was quiet, Gibbs though is growing with every game, Gibbs reminds me of Clichy when Cole was often injured, he is knocking on the door.

Fear not though Clichy is still the man and we need 2 world class players in every position to get us through next season, and Gibbs can always play on the wing if needed.

When people talk all that shit about most improved player this season, Gibbs wins that by a country mile.

All these home grown quotas are bollocks really because reading between the lines you only have to go through the academy to qualify, so players like Coquelin, Merida and Fabregas already do and given the dearth of Brits we have already we won’t have to worry about that little rule, Simpson, Murphy, Lansbury, Wilshere, JET, Ramsey the list goes on.

It’s one of the reasons Wenger likes to stock up his youth larder, but as we have said before we still need some older players and thats why I don’t think he’s going to sell Adebayor. I still think there will be another centre back, I hope Zapata and then he will let one go and I hope that is Silvestre, and I still cling onto the hope he will bring in a defensive midfielder, though the more I read about Melo, the more I go off him, but as I say, I still haven’t really seen enough of him to comment.

I would even be happy if we traded Eboue plus cash for Sackho, Eboue wants out, we need a centre back, why not? Get on it Ivan, you know it makes sense. Don’t buy Bassong though, he’s not that good, really he’s not.

Finally on the defence, and I know this may sound silly but with Sol Campbell available on a free, wouldn’t he be more useful at the back than Silvestre?

I read Tottenham are after Cana, now that would seriously piss me off if we let that one get away, almost as much as it pissed me off watching ex-Arsenal defensive midfielder Fabrice Muamba running the show last night against Sweden.

You all know I have long championed Muamba, he is English, 6’4″ a powerhouse, with a ripper of a shot, Wenger sold him because he said he wanted first team football so he had to let him go, piffle, he sold him because he wanted you-know-who to play instead, big mistake boss, I hope you were watching last night.

If you let players go because they wanted to, then why is Adebayor still here irritating us?

I have often argued with Pedro about Muamba, well Pedro, I hope you watched the Ingerland game from your piss ridden tent at Glastonbury last night and vomited your cheap cider over the bloke you are sharing with when you marveled over the talent we let go last night.

If we had kept Muamba, we wouldn’t be scouring the bargain basement world of defensive midfielders now, as we would have what we need already.

I expect if we have to wait for a youngster to emerge now it would be Coquelin, I rate that kid though and maybe he’ll be worth the wait, I wonder if Jay Thomas could work that role, I’m not sure if he’s not too similar to Diaby though.

The only good thing about this side is they will be a little older and a little stronger next season and 2 or 3 players may just do a Flamini and turn into swans, if they do I really, really, will be delighted, but if they don’t it has to be time for Wenger to give up the ghost and get rid.

I wonder if J Simpson will feature this season, he has Senderos, Bishcoff and Silvestre on the first team sheet but no Simpson, why have we still got Bischoff, he only made one appearance last term and Senderos, who he tried to sell? It makes no sense to me, it does explain why we have no money though, I guess we still pay their salaries.

Interestingly though he has Song down as a defender and Eboue down as a midfielder, mmmmmm!

A message to Theo, Theo I now guess you’ll get your wish of playing down the middle, I would think Stuart Pearce may well play Rodwell and Muamba together to make up for the lack of front men and play you as the lone striker, you need to let your instincts take over, feel the force, forget what Arsenal have taught you (no shots allowed outside the box) and think of what Thierry did, shoot on sight, let rip when you have a chance and you will score, if you score then we will win and you will then begin to fulfill your destiny, and my prediction, that one day you will be the worlds finest player.

Theo let the force be with you!

Have a great day today Grovers, tomorrow it’s Ethan!

  9. Evo in Oz says:

    gday all,

good post Geoff – Gibbs is certainly looking the goods and an excellent back up in the left back position, which is the hardest one of all to cover!

I reckon that even though Wenger says the squad doesnt really practice penalty takes, i say on the contrary, that they must! We are one of the best teams on the planet with our takes!

anyone have an opinion on that?

  10. Evo in Oz says:

    hahha…piss ridden tent!

  11. Swedish Gun says:

    evo

I don’t think we practice more than any other, but we have so many tecnically gifted players and thats a head start

  12. Swedish Gun says:

hmmmmm….and know i thought of ade and that blows that theory!

  13. Geoff says:

Swedish you’re very welcome, good to see you Evo!

  14. Evo in Oz says:

    Cheers Geoff!

Swedish – i was more saying that we do practice them, rather than not at all :-)

  15. georgian1gunner says:

good post, lets do it theo

  16. insidealbania says:

    Morning Grovers,
Interesting point you raise there Geoff about one of the young guns doing a Flamini and having a wonder season. With so many in our squad and the high likelihood that at least one player will get injured this could well happen. And those around the players have said that this is the best group of youngsters we have had so this scenario could well be on the cards.
I also would love them to win the CC this season, I know many dont give a shit about it but it is a trophy and our B team does so well it in every season, maybe AW should add one or two seniors to bring the cup to THOF.

  17. arsenalviper says:

theo the worlds finst player some day? I would love it but i just cant see it – at all.
Theirs flashes of excellent yes, but incredibly rare – 2/3 a season, 10 seconds worth out of 60 games.

I cant help but feel the amount of slack he gets is out of proportation to the results.

For every decent, good, workman like professional perfoemance denilison gives 10.

I would love theo to make it. but rite now i wouldn’t start him ever. A good sub(because of his speed , not skill).

Or maybe start as striker against a minnow in the epl or carling cup games against lower leagues teams.

  18. raif says:

    haha use the force theo..

    i like that one..

ive been really enjoying the posts over the past 2 weeks. very enjoyable. geoff/pedro

  19. kelsey says:

    Good post geoff,

and it is 90 degrees here today and 80% humidity.

We seem to produce a conveyor belt of left backs, but not really in any other position.

I don’t really know what to think of Theo at the moment.he was given an impossible task as a lone striker, and before the sending off played on the left wing.He is in and out of the England team, the under 21 and even our first team, so he must be, to say the least a little bit confused, and I am not sure if it is doing his confidence any good.

  20. KM in WALES says:

Gibbs is quality.i rate that boy v.highly.Walcott….well he has his moments.Sweden came back strongly in the 2nd half. This is a major problem with English sides – they fail to keep possession under pressure inviting waves of attacks which inevitably end in goals.Gibbs is so KooL under pressure – nothing fazes him :)

  21. insidealbania says:

Theo has a lot of pace, but he is not a winger, he needs to be played in the middle as a striker. He has no skills or tricks to get past players, and for some reason he does not knock the ball past players and runs as much as he should.
I would put him in the Owen category (although his finishing needs to improve) and if played in the middle I think he can score a lot more. Owen had no skill but defenders were scared to face him when he was running at them with full pace. When played in the middle Theo would need to beat one defender and he would be through on goal. (this is too simplified I know, but I really think he can do that job for us and excel.)

  22. KM in WALES says:

btw good morning folks :) arsenalviper – agree with u. INSIDEALBANIA- hi mate.do u think melo is better than Cana?is Cana’s playing style like Flamini?

  23. arsenalviper says:

    km in wales – cheers.
I was watching brazils last few games during the con’s cup – melos partner was better i thought – what was his name again? o ya, a certain mr. gilbert o sullivan.

  24. patthegooner says:

I think this is a big season for Theo this year.

He shows glimpses but being English, I do wonder if we cut him some slack on that basis (I am English). I think he is still very inconsistent but on his day looks the quality player that we hope and believe he will become. But he is running out of seasons where you can blame youth for the inconsistency, and I think that he simply has to have a blinding season to justify the supposed 50-60k a week contract he just signed. 6 Goals in 35 games is not good enough and at the moment, I dont think he deserves or has earnt that money as it stands

Looking forward to Monday though, I am a strong believer that Theo needs to move upfront now, he has pace but can’t beat a man through trickery and is too easy to read as a Winger. Monday Pearce has no striking options available so Theo will start there, and I hope he scores a couple and impresses enough to warrant a pre-season in that position for Arsenal.

  25. KM in WALES says:

v.true Inside,i think if ade goes this year,& we buy a proper winger, i’d love to see walcott come on Eddy in the 70th minute & cause havoc!

  26. insidealbania says:

KM to be honest I have seen Melo play only once so I cant judge, Cana’s style is similar to Flam but without the headless chicken chasing around.

  27. Bergy says:

I would love us 2 sign berg from sweden.he looks really good

  28. KM in WALES says:

flamini had an amazing engine & drive.if he’d stayed a few more seasons & played at the same level,he would be compared to Roy Keane imo.

  29. raif says:

    kelsey

to add to the Left back comment.. have you noticed every left back we bring out are almost exactly the same and plays the same way.
its somthing arsenal are doing when traning these boys.

thats why it makes me think. we must be doing this in every other position. so no matter who we buy and who they are. the same philosophy gets drilled in. so looking at our Defence or Midfield you’ll notice we have the same kind of players in those positions

Gallas, Kolo, Fish head, = All short and stocky,

Song, Denilson, Cesc, Nasri, Ramsy, Arshavin, = All Short or lightweight

  30. KM in WALES says:

bergy – if we buy that Burger boy we’r gona restrict chances for him,Bendtner, Vela & Walcott….

  31. KM in WALES says:

    nice & hot 2day mmmm any gossip 2day boys/girls?

  32. Swedish Gun says:

M Berg is deff NOT Arsenal quality

    yet anyway

  33. Bergy says:

Km.he might become better than them.I wonder how many games vela are gona get.i say sell ade and buy berg

  34. insidealbania says:

Raif you are correct, there is a philosophy that gets drilled into who ever we buy, prime example of that is NO SHOOTING FROM OUTSIDE THE BOX

  35. raif says:

    insidealbania ..

Hmmmmmm the philosophy i hate most

along with NO set piece training

  36. Bergy says:

Give berg 2 years.he wil be a top player

  37. ethangunner says:

    geoff

i think he would sell ade if he could ..
but who would buy him ?//

  38. hurley says:

Interesting point on Walcott Kels, I agree, I think the lads head must be fucking spinning, in the England senior world cup squad, uproar, not used, confusion, in and out the Arsenal team, breaks into enlgand seniors, scores wonder goals, into arsenal first team, dropped from england u21 team after defying Arsene. Told he can play striker soon, stuck up front next game. Head fuck city if you ask me. Lad needs to be given a bit more stability and define in his role as a player. On a positive note, once the summer is over Arsene will sort him out. Thank fuck.

  39. Gunner8 says:

SUGA3 glad you enjoyed Bretonman’s tickets and that they went to a gratefull home!

Geoff, Muamba was also pretty sloppy in the pass!

  40. Gunner8 says:

Bergy, I liked Berg as well and lord knows we need another Swede, if only to keep my wife happy (he is a younger Bendtner)

  41. Gunner8 says:

    Berg, not my wife

  42. Gunner8 says:

Berg cost now 2-4mil cost after playing for a Lyon/Bundesliga team for 3 years 20mil?

  43. Gunner8 says:

    Johnny 5 is alive

  44. Bone8 says:

I would deffinately take Marcus Berg, Swedish Gun, though it might not be in the best interest of the boy.
He’s a clinical finisher, and mature beyond his years.
But it might be better for him to go to a team where he will be playing regularly.

I have no doubt that he’s better than Rosenberg and Elmander though, and should be a regular in the Swedish starting lineup.

  45. patthegooner says:

I see Benzema is the latest player to say that he would prefer to play in Spain.

Either the 50% tax bracket is disuading them or the PL is losing its touch.

  46. tomstoned says:

mornin All and a very good Weekend to ya all…

    good Post Geoff….

    tom

  47. Honest Bill says:

On the contarary. I think players know how much tougher it is to shine in the Prem. They all want to be considered the best in the world

  48. [...] the original post on Le Grove VN:F [1.4.2_694]please wait…Rating: 0.0/10 (0 votes [...]

  49. patthegooner says:

So to be the best in the World you have to play in Spain then? either way the best players in the world now all want to be there and not here, and surely that will have an effect next time it comes to renegotiating the pot with SS.

  50. tomstoned says:

another way to look at it paththegooner, every now and then it shifts…Italian league was the biggest then Spain..and now it has been premier for a while..but big players ..big names..will always draw attention…so my guess is that the Spanish league will be the place to be…for the next 3-4 years before it shifts again ..

    tom

  51. tomstoned says:

paththegooner i do think you have a fair point with the tax deal mate….

    tom

  52. Honest Bill says:

Patthegooner. I’m not saying that playing in Spain will actually make them the best in the world. I’m just saying it is easier to shine.

Although one might argue that Barcelona and Madrid have such competition for places, that it would be harder

  53. Mayank says:

    Morning/afternoon…
Spain offers better football and is a closer league. But its because of spain ManU lost CR9 and chelsea can’t get anyone so its all good.

  54. brian says:

Its only a few years ago that Carlton Cole was head and shoulders our best player in the under 21 team so lets see it for the level it is.Even Richards who has had such a poor season or two with Man City looks pretty awesome at this level.
Our two lads took pretty impressive penalties but in the game itself disappointed me.Walcott was mainly quite dreadful and his shooting was embarassing while Gibbs looked what he is at the moment,a confident footballer who doesnt play the defensive side that well when the shit hits the fan as it did in the second half last night. He allowed so much space to the Swedish winger that even Sagna would have got some decent crosses in.

  55. patthegooner says:

But I am talking about players that are already considered amongst the best in the world Bill,

Take Kaka, Ronaldo, Ribery, Benzema have all turned down the PL to go to Spain,

I dont buy it that it is purely as it is easier to shine there.

Look at Chavski, even with their money they are struggling to attract the gems anymore.

I think there is a number of reasons why this is happening, the weather, the 50% tax, Refs that want to make a name for themselves, Thug outfits like Hull, Wigan and Blackburn that rely on kicking you off the park etc etc.

The PL needs to freshen up its product and it would not surprise me at all if you see a PL 1+2 formed in the next few years and it would not surprise me if Celtic and Rangers are part of it.

  56. Mayank says:

Positive thinking PTG but that’s impossible as long as the experts like Andy Gray keep glorifying teams like Hull and are sarcastic about the virtues of the football Arsenal play. Perhaps when the PL starts losing viewership they’ll take notice.

  57. Honest Bill says:

Yeah as you say Pat, the money will be a bigg pull, not to mention that Spains probavly much nicer to live in

  58. tomstoned says:

    paththegooner

agreed there are of course alot of different reasons…look what Maradona did for the Italian league….he went to Napoli suddenly everyone wanted to play there…

in my opinion this shifts…will always happen ..

i think the biggest fault with the PL is simply its like Wenger says most of the teams does not want to play anymore…even chelski plays shitty football…in PL there is really only 4-5 teams who plays with style..

ask yourself would you like to play for chelski..boring..or would you like to play for barca..answer given im afraid

    tom

  59. tomstoned says:

    good point Mayank mate

  60. Geoff says:

I think the reason that the Chavs fail to attract players is the way they treat them if they aren’t instant, spoilt brat Russian dumps them.

The 50% tax bit means nothing, Arsenal will just pay them more, when Vieira was here those greedy cunts paid no tax, it was all offshore, then when the revenue rumbled the scam, Arsenal paid it back, not the players. It was £11million.

The attraction of Spain is the climate and the way of life I think.

  61. Mayank says:

Tom where are they apart from arsenal name 3 good footballing clubs. Maybe WHU thats about it for me.

  62. Mayank says:

Geoff Real Madrid do the same thing more or less.

  63. patthegooner says:

I and I think that is it guys, it is the thugery and anti-football.

I think MOTD, SS, and Setanta have all been guilty of glorifying potentially career ending challenges,

Personally I would like to see points for scoring a certain amount of goals in a game. Say a bonus point for a score draw away from home and one for scoring 3 in a game.

  64. Geoff says:

Mayank absolutely, I still think the EPL is the big one though, money, players, grounds, outside of the top 4 in Spain the crowds and the atmosphere are shit.

  65. KM in WALES says:

Think abt it guys…if u had a choice to live in England or Spain where wud u go? :) The top top players will prob. Choose spain, while the PL will get the scraps & younger starlets who will move to Spain after they’r near their peak (ronaldo & fabregas)

  66. patthegooner says:

I think you do have a point there Geoff.

I think word of mouth has spread regarding Chavski, and Players potentially going there have realised that it is not all about money, all they can attract now is the pure mercenary and their problem there is that they are now up against Man Shitty when it comes to those type of players.

  67. finestcuts says:

Hi, I sent my article in on Thursday for the 27th as originally scheduled, so it not being published is not due to the lack of an article being sent on my behalf. I tried my best to write a good article but my guess is that it was not to managements taste, which is fair enough.

  68. Mayank says:

Geoff, that may be true but the grounds and players will take care of themselves if the money comes, can’t say about the crowds but i think the atmosphere is decent. Anyway i wouldn’t be too bothered if PL becomes 2nd to La liga cause if the money goes out it’ll benefit teams like Arsenal.

  69. tomstoned says:

Mayank its all about playing with style..and well Arsenal outshine them all on a good day…still i think manu..West Ham tries..mancity on a very very good day..l’pool not bad..wba have a great way of playing..not PL anymore though..one other team have the potential..cant say it out loud though..hehhe..

    tom…

  70. KM in WALES says:

agree with TOM – there so many teams who play Hoof/horrible football like Hull,Bolton, Chelsea,Blackburn, Everton,Stoke, never ending list.thats why i dnt like watching the other teams on MOTD except Arsenal or a big4 clash – the football is a turnoff – low/no technique & no flowing football, lump the ball forward etc etc only wigan, boro & west brom excited me this year frm the rest. This ‘hoof the ball’ doesnt help the England intnl team as well as they dnt know any other way too play.

  71. tomstoned says:

and Geoff agree..PL has the best facilities in the world..no doubt…look at the italian and french clubs spent all theire money on players….and well theire grounds are awful…

    tom..

  72. Geoff says:

Finest, Pedro gets all the mail, not me and as I said on Tuesday, he’s at Glastonbury all week and out of touch.

Your article may be not up to my taste but as I haven’t seen it I can’t comment.

Ethan is next up and that will be tomorrow.

Blame Pedro, he’s the one that goes to homosexual hippy concerts at the expense of Le Grove, not me.

  73. Geoff says:

When we played Juve in the ECL that time they had to give away 25,000 tickets to the winter Olympic teams to fill their stadium.

Even Madrid only averaged 60k+ last season and there stadium holds 120k

  74. KM in WALES says:

pat @ 11.25 – gr8 comment u’v hit the nail on the head.i think its embarrasing that all the top stars are turning Chelsea down :) FINESTCUTS – would u mind pasting that article on now?at least then ur effort will not go to waste :)

  75. Mayank says:

Spurs actually started playing good football before Arsene came, so the fans say. But most of the clubs you mentioned only play football on a good day otherwise revert back to the long ball game. Even man u with thier back to the wall play average. Its also because of the other club playing 10 behind the ball that causes teams to go to this. But for this to change would need a massive shift in the mentality of most of the viewers and players alike. WBA actually stuck to their guns till the end and respect to that.

  76. tomstoned says:

well off..have a great day in the sun Gooners and Grovers alike :)

    tom

  77. KM in WALES says:

geoff @ 11.38.thats shocking juve & madrid are huge clubs & still cant fill their stadiums!! Imo if the Emirates was 80,000 capacity we’d still fill it.

  78. tomstoned says:

agreed Mayank but the clubs mentioned has potential…and thats a good thing…trying is better than not..interesting is the games before christmas seems to be far more interesting then after when the points really begins to be important..and thats a worry…giving up youre game plan ..just because you need the points…thats only a short turn to demise…

It is suggested in the post that the squad has been announced. I ask because you say Simpson is in the team and that Bischoff is still here.

  87. Mayank says:

    Later tom…

  88. KM in WALES says:

lol TOM i can see where ur coming frm :) STU – did u watch Spain v UsA? shocking result but the americans had really packed their defence in the 2nd half.i think the spanish lacked Iniesta to open up the defence. And they lack speed on the counter attack which Brazil possess.

  89. Stu says:

Yes KM, i so most of it and was suprised at how good usa could actually be. Another shocking red too. The refs must have americans because they call it soccer.

I think Spain lacked fight. They probably didnt think usa would give such a good performance and didnt know how to react. Spain looked a little flat imo.

  90. KM in WALES says:

mayank – whats happening man?how hot is it where u are?has it jumped 45c yet? :) do u guys have electricity shortages still in cities or is that in villages?

  91. Bone8 says:

Berg hasn’t only dominated in this tournament, but has also been a consistent threat on an average team in the dutch league.

I also feel that compareing him to Richards is a bit of the mark. Walcott hasn’t done half as well as Berg in the u21 European Championship, but what does that prove? Nothing. We all know Walcott is good enough for the PL anyway.

I’m not saying that Berg would be good enough to demand a starting role for us, but he would be an exelent 4th choice striker.

Having said that, it would prob. be better for him to go to a CL team in France or Germany, where he would get more games.

  92. KM in WALES says:

yeh the americans rattled the spanish bigtime.i liked Donovan he was r.good looked a bit like Iniesta(?)i think they should have stretched the americans with a right winger – torres was wasted on right wing – he’s more effective as a striker. fabregas played better in the no.10 role in the 2nd half though.

  93. Lucs says:

Breaking the news in sky sport italy! Looks like Ade is on his way to milan…

  94. Stu says:

Spain had a serious lack of balance in midfield imo.

Usualy they have Iniesta and Silva in the wide positions but this time they had Cesc and Riera. It just doesnt work the same way. Add to that Puyol seeming like he was past it and the full backs being shite (on the night at least) and you have part of the reason why they lost.

  95. KM in WALES says:

bone8 – i haven’t seen this kid play – how old is he?the problem is we’v got the youth level kids coming through as well our present lot – we’v bought that dutch kid (luc) as well so unless he is EXTRAordinary wenger will not jump for him.

  96. Stu says:

Berg is a great goalscorer and forward but i dont see the point of buying him with the wealth of attacking youth talent we already have at the club and those coming through.
In other circumstances i would have him tho. Say if we had a World class striker with Berg being one of the understudies or something.

  97. KM in WALES says:

STU – we missed the chance to watch Spain v Brazil – damn!! Who do u think is a better team?brazil are more balanced & cut through the defence like a hot knife through butter while Spain pass it abt too much sometimes (a bit like us:)

  98. KM in WALES says:

STU – we missed the chance to watch Spain v Brazil – damn!! Who do u think is a better team?brazil are more balanced & cut through the defence like a hot knife through butter while Spain pass it abt too much sometimes (a bit like us:) I’d love to see a friendly between these two sides at the emirates – that would be a corker & a gr8 chance for Arsene to tap up players :)

  99. KM in WALES says:

    is Berg another Huntelaar?

  100. KM in WALES says:

stu – is it only us 2 around? Where is everyone?

  101. KM in WALES says:

    a hatrick! :)

  102. KM in WALES says:

    double hatrick? :)

  103. Stu says:

Berg is very like Huntelaar but probably a better all round fotballer. And incidently Berg is rumoured to be off to Ajax for 9m this summer.

Personally i prefer Spain but yes they do seem to pass it too much a lot of the time.

Nice Hattrick….and now you’re all alone because im off. laters.

  104. insidealbania says:

    Anyone read this:

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/eng_prem/8121709.stm

I cant believe that this silly excuse of a referee is gonna be in charge. The guy is a disgrace and those who selected him should hang their heads in shame and be dismissed.

  105. Geoff says:

Lucs sorry for the wait, you are now free to blog, welcome.

Nisanth it’s more anti Arsenal shite!

  106. ThaatArsenalGuy says:

    great post really enjoyed it.
nust say, you are spot on about theo.

  107. irishgunner says:

 Mike Riley oh feck United will get off with everything

  108. Honest Bill says:

I can understand the reasons for the medias obvious anti-Arsenal bollocks, since we won the league with mainly foreigners, obviously they hate that. But i don’t understand why they want to extend that bias to the youngsters, particularly when most of them are ‘homegrown’

It seems like they’re shooting themselves in the foot. Then again perhaps we just have a pro-Arsenal bias. Perhaps the other youngsters they chose are really good. I wouldn’t know

  109. patthegooner says:

Get in, Milan have contacted Arsenal ref Adebayor.

The only problem is Dzeko, just got to hope he can’t talk Wolfsburg into letting him go.

Unfortunately I think this is just Milan’s game at trying to hurry Dzeko up.

  110. ManGoonian says:

Oh beejayzusss I am ruffer than a lorry load of sand paper in a cactus field…

    Oh bruvver

    Just thought Id share that…

  111. nishanth says:

Bill there are not many better than wilshere and everyone knows that.Lansbury is not exactly better than wilshere

  112. ManGoonian says:

    Dunno whay?

Oh Mialn are in for Ade??? Hmmmm we’ll see. SS Italia are as reliable as SSN, I imagine, you know the same SSN, who ran with the Cesc quotes, that were taken out of context n shid…

  113. ManGoonian says:

Is the U19s coach an ex spud? Or maybe a scouser???

  114. Honest Bill says:

nishanth. Yeah I agree, But it might have something to do with his physical size. He’s brilliant but he is a bit small. I suppose that might be something to do with it

  115. ManGoonian says:

It is effin crackers that Wilshire aint in the squad, he has more talent than anyone in his age group, erm, probably…

  116. nishanth says:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/England_national_under-19_football_team
Murphy is better than that nathan guy from villa
They have a liverpool defender there who conceded 6 against us over the 2 legs

  117. akb says:

    Patthegooner,

    Get in where ?

  118. Honest Bill says:

nishanth. As I said I can’t really argue with who’s better, as i watch the Arsenal youngsters a disproportionate amount in comparison to any other team’s. Besides these competitions are all about developing young talent. Perhaps they reason tha our youngsters are more likely to be developed without inclusion.

  119. nishanth says:

Yeah.Don’t think these kids can learn much from whoever their coach is.

  120. nishanth says:

Are we actually behind chamakh? Can’t believe it.Most of his youtube videos focus more on the chances he misses

  121. KM in WALES says:

the england coaches have always focused on power & pace over technique which is why England are crap at intnl level. And until there is a radical overhaul at all levels (grassroots, academies, clubs) in terms of focusing on technique rather than brawn nothing will change.

  122. Honest Bill says:

Yeah i guess youtube montages can say whatever you want them to say. I would have to reserve judgement, having never actually seen him play.

Though I don’t expect Wenger to be buying any strikers

  123. patthegooner says:

Unfortunately Nishanth, I have a horrible feeling we are.

I hate Ade, but is it better the devil you know?

At least if Ade cant find a club, his Ego might come back down to Planet Earth and he might actually become the fucking good footballer I think he is and whilst I wont forgive him (Ever) and still cant wait for him to leave, at least he might earn his money.

  124. Honest Bill says:

KM, then it’s a good job Arsenal are doing it for them. Because once we’ve grown them in to premiership stars, they might just get called up

  125. Geoff says:

Ade’s ego wouldn’t allow him to go to Milan as second choice, then he’ll say he loves Arsenal too much to leave, lying sack of shit, he probably thinks we are all as stupid as he is.

  126. KM in WALES says:

I think Chamakh has got the whole package except the finishing which he needs to improve on.he can be a huge star imo if he becomes more clinical. However i dnt think Milan are after Ade – they fancy Dzeko & he might just force Wolfsburg to let him go.

  127. goonerboy says:

Theo will play better for sure if he is played as a striker. Although he will be alone upfront, he will have more freedom to do his trade and have more space to use his quick feet.
IMO, Theo had little support from his squadmates yesterday, except those through balls from Gibbs.

  128. nishanth says:

I don’t think we need to buy a replacement if ade leaves but i am pretty sure wenger is looking for a cheap one.I would rather buy marcus berg than this chamakh. One of my friend who watches ligue1 regularly told that that chamakh’s work rate is impressive

  129. Geoff says:

I don’t think we are after Chamakh, but I would prefer him to Ade. I would prefer anyone to Ade.

  130. Mayank says:

KM sorry i’d gone off. Yes it is fucking hot. As for the power cuts yes they’re there buts its not a regular feature. Everyone’s got their own power back-up anyway.
If it gets any hotter i swear the trees will catch fire.

  131. ManGoonian says:

A striker who cant finish? Hmmm, is that what we are lookin for? I can see a bit of a flaw in that signing…

  132. nishanth says:

I have never liked ade.Even 2007-2008 when he scored a lot of goals for us i didn’t like him much.

  133. Honest Bill says:

We already have Bendtner anyway. He is ready to step up and score a lot i feel. And if he doesn’t …. Well he can miss with the best of them

  134. KM in WALES says:

whats strange is that Ancelotti hasnt moved for Ade?!?why are they taking so long?do they r.want him? Scary thought is the asshole will stay. But do u guys think Wenger actually wants him to stay?

  135. nishanth says:

Zapata’s parter felipe looks more impressive whenever i have seen udinese play

  136. nishanth says:

I expect bendtner to score a lot next season.I think chelsea will move for ade only id drogba leaves

  137. Honest Bill says:

KM yeah i think Wenger wants him to stay, but even if i’m wrong, i still doubt he’ll sell him to Chelsea

  138. nishanth says:

If reports are to be believed chelsea aer in talks with milan over the signing of pirlo.Pretty much shows what an idiot ancelotti is

  139. ManGoonian says:

I found it kinda strange that AW said he WOULD sell to a domestic rival… Ade for Essien sounds about right to me :D

  140. blazon says:

there’s just one comment on here today that calls Theo’s shooting yesterday ‘embarassing’…here’s the second…

  141. Ali says:

Adebayor for a packet of Crisps would be a nice trade for all i care , the sooner he goes the sooner we can get down to business

  142. ManGoonian says:

What kind of business did you have in mind there???

    Some sexy business?

  143. patthegooner says:

It was quite poor Blazon, got in a couple of good positions and shot weakly straight at the keeper both times.

I think he will have a blinder on Monday playing upfront though.

  144. Geoff says:

Sorry for the wait goonerboy, you are now free to blog, welcome to Le grove.

  145. Honest Bill says:

blazon, I agree, the idea that Arsenal players are being forced to forget their principles and have shots is outrageous

  146. patthegooner says:

    What Flavour Ali?

I am not swapping him for a packet of Cheese and Onion.

  147. Mayank says:

“Adebayor is the alternative to Edin Dzeko and I have called Arsenal to inform them of our interest,” Galliani told Sky Sport Italia.

“I Spoke to Arsene Wenger and Adebayor was part of the conversation.”

  148. KM in WALES says:

mayank – power shortage is a HUGE problem in pakistan now.not just villages(where its no electricity for upto 18hrs & have to use their tractors to get power)even in the cities there is a huge problem.its affected daily life esp.business – the gov’t slapped a time limit on businesses & markets.they’v gotto close by 8pm which is insane as u know in S.Asia the evening time is v.busy for businesses.on avg.cities & towns are getting 10hrs of electricity a day so they’v gotto get ups’ backups. My sister lives nxt to the Presidents house in Pakistan and she told me that the president lives like a millionaire & that their daily costs run upto 10lakh!!wtf! Pakistan has gone backwards by at least 5years since musharraf went.

  149. Ali says:

I sincerely hope not ;) in all seriousness we need AW to sort out his team by the time pre-season arrives , whichever players he chooses to keep need to be on top form and intuned for the difficult start to the season.

  150. ManGoonian says:

I think Galliani is just using Ade to get Dzeko, as was mentioned earlier today, or did I dream it?

  151. nishanth says:

Thats one good thing about having tough fixtures early on.Atleast i hope that leads to wenger buying early

  152. ManGoonian says:

Well, the boss said he wanted to do all hsi ‘business’ by pre-season, so here’s hoping there’s a few new faces next week…

  153. Honest Bill says:

ManGoonian. Nope someone did suggest that earlier

  154. KM in WALES says:

Ade is an alternative to Dzeko!! If i was Ade i’d tell Milan to fukk off & put my head down & play to my best & stop whoring myself around for higher wages.

  155. ManGoonian says:

    Ta HB!

I think the fact that Milan are goin public about lookin at alternatives is pure bluff, to force Wolfsburg’s hand and other cliched poker referneces you wanna throw in there!

  156. nishanth says:

Well we could buy dzeko and force milan to buy ade

  157. Honest Bill says:

    The chips are down.

  158. KM in WALES says:

chelsea buying Pirlo?why dnt they just buy Aquilani frm Rome or Hernanes?younger & hungry.Pirlo is 31(?) & after a few knocks he’s gona be screaming like a bitch.i think hes a gr8 player but chelsea’s policy is so fukked up – why not buy a younger quality player who will be there for long term rather than Pirlo who’l give u 2yrs max!

  159. Mayank says:

KM: I personally didn’t like Musharraf when he was at the helm but after he went i realised that he’d actually had a much better grip on things than anyone else. Also when all the money has to go into taking back your own land from the taliban(the swat region) electricity isn’t going to be the top of anyone’s agenda.Everyone i know from Pakistan says that Zardari has no clue. One can only hope that stability returns to Pakistan cause the current situation isn’t safe for both countries if not the world. I had hope the Obama would actually do something about it besides practising diplomacy.

  160. nishanth says:

Km never mind his age.Hez too inconsistent. No way he is going to adjust to premier leagu’s pace.Pretty much going to be like deco.If they buy wonder where they are going to play him.I really hope they splash a lot cash for pirlo

  161. ManGoonian says:

    Pirlo = Deco

  162. ManGoonian says:

    nish;

Sorry fella! Im really slooooowww today!!

  163. chiku says:

man super super sssuuuuuuuppperrrrr post man… mayb its coz im toastd bt hey i still like it….. str8 up ….. mdub out

  164. akb says:

    GKB GUIDE

Geoff knows brigade, you see Geoff let me on knowing I was a prick and what did I do, I acted like a complete cunt, now I won’t be back again, sorry for acting like a horses arse, it’s because I am.

And of course, Geoff was proved right, fuck me he even welcomed me aboard and I showed what a big girls blouse I was.

Sorry for being an AKB and acting like it.

  165. KM in WALES says:

Milan are REALLY after Dzeko all their ex-players are coming out & saying he’s the man for Milan – latest is Bierhoff. Milan will have an awesome strikeforce nxt year Pato & Dzeko with hopefully a resurgent Ronaldinho behind them as a playmaker – thats badass!

  166. ManGoonian says:

    chiku;

Thanks man, really appreciate the positive feedback… Really helping with my piss poor self confidence and esteem issues, nice one!

  167. ManGoonian says:

    KM;

    “Hopefully” ???

  168. nishanth says:

I think walter mazzari looks just like dustin hoffman

  169. KM in WALES says:

they’v already got Ballack who is 33+ how many old fogies are they gona get? They’r gona have the same problem as milan – they’r 1st team ageing abt the same time…

  170. ManGoonian says:

    akb;

I like the cut of your jib, keep it up…. Its good to have a plethora of divergent views and outlooks man… Life would be soooo dull, if we all chatted shit all day and agreed on everything…

  171. KM in WALES says:

mangoo – i’d like to see Ronaldhino back to his best. Its a joy to watch for any football fan. Btw there were some r.sick jokes y’day abt michael jackson – made me feel v.uneasy reading them.. :/

  172. ManGoonian says:

Km; That reminds me, have you this joke about Michael Jac….

  173. KM in WALES says:

lol akb.point 4 made me laugh.

  174. KM in WALES says:

mangoonian – dnt,its not nice dude. Where are u frm anyway?

  175. ManGoonian says:

    Camden fella…

    Why you ask?

  176. Arindam@KOL says:

GEoff , Zapata is worse than your boy Chiellini (and we all know he’s SHITE) .Besides , he is not Udinese’s first choice CB. So , he plays at RB instead. He would be no better than a Djourou , at best.

We need some Ruskies – like Kolodin or Chyrinsky (the Shakhtar CB – guess hes Ukranian then. )

  177. Geoff says:

Mangoonian AKB re wrote his comment, now I like the cut of his jib.

  178. KM in WALES says:

the lions match is on in the pub opposite & the beerbelly’s sound like a bunch of inmates on strike:) dnt like rugby – too thuggish

  179. Geoff says:

Arindam they’re all better than Silvestre and it’s just an opinion, I don’t watch Russian football so I have no idea.

  180. Arindam@KOL says:

KM , ROnaldinho at his best was the best footballer I ever saw. And I saw Zidane at his peak .

  181. Geoff says:

I agree, for me they were both the best.

  182. ManGoonian says:

    Geoff;

Yeah, I can see why you do like his jib now!!! Ive seent at posted many times elsewhere (the original one I mean)

  183. Arindam@KOL says:

THe best players I saw at their peaks (started watching seriously from ’94)

    1. Ronaldinho
    2. Ronaldo (the Phenom)
    3. Messi
    4. Zidane
    5. Henry
    6. Figo
    7. Bergkamp

  184. KM in WALES says:

hey Arindam \ 0 / hows things? Mangoonia just curious :)

  185. ManGoonian says:

Well, If we signed hangeland, we would have some serious defensive options and then Silvestre could go and follow his dream by opening that Florists Shop in margate he always wanted to…

  186. Arindam@KOL says:

Geoff , reckon we are in for C.Ronaldo’s doppelganger Chamakh ?

  187. Geoff says:

He is probably 14 years old and has shown why I don’t let them on, they only come on at weekend because they can’t during schooldays.

Thing is GKB was started by Franchise or someone saying that everyone had to agree with me!

It was all tongue in cheek, pricks.

  188. Geoff says:

Arindam, I think it’s all gossip, I would sooner him trying than Ade though.

  189. ManGoonian says:

    Arindam;

Id also stick George Weah and Rivaldo in my list, so there! And Pavel Nedved, Stoichkov and that Romanian fella too Hadji??

  190. Gooner says:

Muamba is average. Don’t even try and claim he is good enough for Arsenal at the moment. Denilson and Song are far better players.

  191. Arindam@KOL says:

Rockin and Rollin on a SAT , KM .
    Good to see ya.

  192. ManGoonian says:

    KM; Thats fine then mate!

Muamba may look good in this U21 England team, but he aint even a regular for Bolton, is he…

  193. Geoff says:

Gooner do you go to Arsenal every home game and be honest I want to ask a question.

  194. KM in WALES says:

arindam – agree abt getting some russian komrades those guys are tough nuts. They wnt mind playing away at shitty Bolton on a windy night in November. Personally Zidane was the best player i’v seen ever.there was something abt him he was so sublime/majestic/supernatural on the pitch.he would always be the man to pull u out of trouble when needed….something Ronaldhino couldnt do sometimes.however the brazilian was amazing,he was so dangerous it was unbelievable.

  195. Arindam@KOL says:

    Mangoonian , good shout.
I actually had written something like :
    1. Ronaldinho
    2. Ronaldo (the Phenom)
    3. Messi
    4. Zidane
    5. Henry
    6. Figo
    7. Bergkamp
    8. Rivaldo

But just remembered what a cunt Rivaldo was generally. Remember the SF against Turkey where the ball hits him on the shins and he goes down holding his face , like a woman in labour ? Lost all respect for him.

Nedved , Stoichkov , Weah were good ; but not good enough for the above list , imo. I’d rate Totti , Del Piero , Ballack , Riquelme , Batistuta , Crespo , Owen , Raul , Van Nistelrooy , etc alongside the likes of Nedved.

  196. KM in WALES says:

Mangooni – doubt we’l get hengeland.Fulham are trying to rip us off. ARINDAM – i think we are after Chamakh, Bordeaux president said that ‘Arsenal will have to pay more than £10m for him’ which means we put in a cheeky bid in for him :)

  197. Geoff says:

I wouldn’t put Messi in quite yet.

    1) Zidane Goofy Pelé

    2) Best Henry Bergkamp Eusabio

And on his day John Barnes.

  198. ManGoonian says:

    KM;

But what about poor Silvestre and his dream Florists Shop??? Dont deny him his dream , fella!

  199. irishgunner says:

Geoff – Where would you put Liam Brady on that list of yours?

  200. ManGoonian says:

    No Maradona anywhere then??

Don’t tell me, you still havent forgiven him for that incident? You know the one Im talkin about… When he was DJin in Faces Nite club in Chelmsford and wouldnt play that Boyzone tune for my dear old Nan…

  201. dennisdamenace says:

I see Yaya Toure has just signed a one year extension with Barca….

  202. ManGoonian says:

    Irish;

    Blinding call there!

  203. Rohan says:

maybe this is a bit late but how about this Wacko Jacko joke:

what’s blue and sticks out of michael jackson’s bed?
    – billy’s jeans!!

  204. ManGoonian says:

    Rohan;

Hold your head in shame dude!!!

  205. irishgunner says:

Rohan – since you mentioned Jacko, might be a good shout to put a few bob on him being number one in the album charts. Where is our resident book-keeper?

On play.com, 5 of his albums are in the top 10 spots.

  206. ManGoonian says:

    Irish;

Dont think the odds would be too good tho…

  207. Rohan says:

i wonder what the odds are on us having a transfer deficit this summer…

  208. KM in WALES says:

lol Mangoon :) Geoff agree with u – its a pity goofy & maradona messed up their career with a partyboy lifestyle :/ i think the Portugese Ronaldo is going down the same route sadly. ARINDAM – as a pure striker the strikers which i saw a lot of & was a fan of were Ronaldo,Batigol,Inzaghi,Suker SS – Del Piero, Rivaldo, Zambrano (chile & inter).

  209. Geoff says:

Alongside Barnes Irish, Dennis good, we don’t need another African in the year of the ACN, anyway it’s Wenger’s fault for not signing him from Breveran for nothing.

  210. irishgunner says:

Man – yeah that’s true ha ha forgot that

What an incredible musical genius. I’ve had Billie Jean on loop for the last two days. Anyways I’ll say no more since opinion is divided on him.

  211. ManGoonian says:

    Work permits geoff, work permits…

  212. ManGoonian says:

    Irish;

I ended up at a mates gaff, very very messy, us, not his house! He was playing all sorts of MJ tunes, some we knew, some we didnt, but, when he played Rockin Robin 3 times straight, I knew it was time to go…

Hey, that tune gives me an idea… Hmmm

  213. KM in WALES says:

DDM – how long is his present contract?do u think that means they’v put a big money clause in his contract so they can sell him?

  214. Geoff says:

His music was great Irish, but thinking it’s Ok to sleep with underage boys is not, whichever way you look at it.

It’s a shame really because when I was a kid my favourite was Gary Glitter.

    I’m a shit picker aren’t I!

  215. ManGoonian says:

    Irish;

Played a track called “Scream” never heard before…. Effin brilliant, I tell thee

  216. Nick says:

Geoff as long as they aint picked your shit no harm done :)

  217. Rohan says:

MJ was a musical genius absolutely no doubt about that..a character the world wil never forget and whose legacy will carry on through the ages…singlehandedly changed the face of music/pop for the better….
the other facets of himself are those that are up for debate.

  218. ManGoonian says:

    Geoff;

I ahd you down as an Alvin Stardust fan..

  219. irishgunner says:

Best players I’ve ever seen (in no particular order bar number one):

    Paolo Maldini
    Franco Baresi
    George Weah
    Paul McGrath
    Dennis Bergkamp
    Thierry Henry
    Zinedine Zidane
    Histro Stichkov
    Georgi Hagi
    Kaka
    Redondo
    Ronaldo (the real one)
    Romario
    Roberto Baggio
    Ronaldinho

  220. Nick says:

rohan changed hi own face alot as well great artist strange dude

  221. Geoff says:

If it was down to that ManGoonian why did he bring him over for a trial in the first place.

It’s a convenient excuse that Wenger uses when he fucks up.

He got Song on an exceptional talent visa because he couldn’t get a work permit, that was a laugh, it’s obviously not checked then!

  222. gooner786 says:

    Afternoon Grovers,

Geoff can we have a minutes silence in memory of Michael Jackson?

  223. ManGoonian says:

    Saying that, I think the this tune should replace that effin orrible Wonder of you;

  224. irishgunner says:

ManGoon – That’s the one he did with Janet Jackson. To be honest i’ve not heard a bad Michael Jackson song. Some may be weak but they aren’t terrible. Incredible music, even the Jackson Five stuff.

  225. Geoff says:

I’m safe then Nick! MancGoonian, I quite like Alvin!

  226. Honest Bill says:

    Irishgunner.

I can’t believe you’re not putting Roy Keane in there

  227. Nick says:

ronaldo the winker is top class player absolute wanker but great player in somehing like 315 games for manure scored 125 goals for a attacing mid that’s impressive :)

  228. ManGoonian says:

    Geoff;

You may be right… But, I find it very difficult to have to agree with you, you know that!!

  229. ManGoonian says:

    Irish;

EVEN the J5 stuff??? You shittin me girlfriend??? The J5 put out some seriously funky shit…

  230. irishgunner says:

Nick – I put down a lot of Jackson’s weirdness to his father who pardon my french seemed a complete bollix. What kind of man beats up a five year old for not dancing right and tells him he’s ugly. He never had a chance. I think he may have been a bit of a eccentric anyway but his father didn’t help matters. I really hope his three kids are looked after and not by their grandmother or biological mother but someone who will look after them.

  231. Nick says:

I herd gary gliters at a loose end :)

  232. Nick says:

joking aside make you right give em a chance in life, rather then being forced to go through any weird shit

  233. irishgunner says:

Honest Bill – He wasn’t a top class player. He had a top class ability to want to win but he wasn’t an overly skillful player but more relied on his heart. Paul McGrath, Liam Brady and Johnny Gilles are the best footballers to emerge from Ireland imo.

  234. Geoff says:

I know but it’s the excuse, but he was only a little boy himself is bollocks, he knew how to make money from his concerts didn’t he, he grew up quick enough when he needed to.

If anyone you knew said he liked sleeping with 8 year old boys I don’t believe you or anyone else would feel sorry for him and justify it.

I liked MJ but not after he admitted to that, sorry.

Loved the Glitter clip, it took me back, but same deal as Jackson.

  235. Nick says:

whats going on with arsenal today anything???

  236. ManGoonian says:

Irish; My mate lied to me! It wasnt that tune at all!

  237. Jay says:

Irish, where do u put Batigoal?

  238. nishanth says:

vieira was a better player than keane.I think had totti played alongside better players and a bigger club he would have gone onto become an all time great

  239. Nick says:

glitter is worse then jackson, the parents are as much to blame but gliter blatantly goes to all the sleazy sex country’s dirty cunt.Heard he interfered with denise van outten as a kid as well horrible dirty he should be nutted arrrggghhh

  240. Geoff says:

Fuck me Irish, it really makes me laugh when I hear people blaming the parents, my dad was an Olympic boxer and he used to beat the shit out of me when I was that age, didn’t affect me and I’ve never laid a hand on my kids, never needed to.

Me though I was a little cunt! I loved my dad till the day he died but what he did to me had no bearing on my life, made me a little tougher, that’s all.

  241. Rohan says:

yep nick but a legend nonetheless

  242. ManGoonian says:

Gary Glitter is a paedo, dont think any one on here’s gonna defend the shite he did…

    But that tune…

    Oasis ripped him off FFS!

  243. Geoff says:

    Denise Van Outen? Lucky sod.

  244. kelsey says:

    Geoff,

    i said good post earlier,am i forgiven ;)

  245. Geoff says:

Glitter was a Paedo, so what Jackson wasn’t?

  246. irishgunner says:

Geoff – I’m not going to deny any of that or try and condone it. I can’t say if he did anything more that actually literally share a bed with those kids but what kind of parents had the second boy? There was already rumours about Jackson and yet they left him have sleepovers!!!

Even in the first case all the parents wanted was money. If that was your son would you not want the person have his bollix cut off and never see daylight again?

  247. Honest Bill says:

Irish, I think you’re way off. As good as OOH AAH, was, he didn’t compare to Keane in my opinion

  248. Geoff says:

Nothing to forgive Kelsey, join the debate!

  249. kelsey says:

    Nick,

you coming to Banus on monday. It’s 90 degrees and 80% humidity, don’t bring an overcoat. :)

  250. ManGoonian says:

    Geoff;

I really dont wanna get into a dead deep argument here about nature or nurture, suffice to say, that most kid fiddlers were abused themselves fella…. Like alot of alkies had aloholic parent(s)… Just my take on it tho…

  251. Geoff says:

Irish I would do it myself. But he got off because he was a celebrity, like OJ did, that’s America for you.

What sort of bloke sleeps with kids if he isn’t doing something sexual, he just never got caught that’s all.

  252. irishgunner says:

    Geoff 15:06:

You didn’t live your life in full glare of the media though did you? Jackson never had a childhood. You still had some form of normality.

  253. Honest Bill says:

God i’m sick of hearing about Michael Jackson

  254. Geoff says:

MnaGoonian, I was beaten shitless but I didn’t beat my kids, my parents rarely drank, I drink for England, my dad never swung a gold club and I’m a golf nut, oh and my mum’s a Spurs fan.

So what the fuck are you on about LOL!

  255. irishgunner says:

Honest Bill – Just my opinion that’s all. McGrath won that game against Italy for Ireland in 1994 with his packed up knees.

  256. ManGoonian says:

    Hahaha!

  257. Honest Bill says:

Geoff, In that case it is quite noble that you never commited matricide.

  258. Nick says:

Kelsey bollocks better re-pack, over coat out string fellow thong in  ..

  259. Geoff says:

Thanks for explaining to me why it’s okay to sleep with 8 years olds Irish, that explain everything.

    Bill I hear ya!

  260. Rohan says:

your dad was an olympic boxer?? wow geoff which olympics did he participate?

  261. Geoff says:

Bill I’ve just not been caught yet!!!

  262. Honest Bill says:

Irish, fair enough, but I think it took a team of 11 players to win that. Houghton played a blinder too (not just the goal)

  263. Geoff says:

In London Rohan when he was captain of Repton and the whole team went down with flu, just after the war.

  264. Nick says:

Kelsey ive heard its full of rich birds and is blooy expensive true or false

  265. irishgunner says:

Oh Jesus Geoff I never said it was okay. What do you take me for some kind of idiot who thinks Mr.Celebrity won’t do any wrong? I’m just saying that his upbringing obviously was part of why he was such an oddball. Latoya is just as odd. Your not the only person who has got slapped about by their parents either.

  266. kelsey says:

I would rather know how he got into debt to the tune of 200 million dollars.I believe Sony gave him an advance, but I suppose the sordid details about where the money went will eventually come out, together with a thousand conspiracy stories as to why or how he died,as others will want to benefit in monetary terms from his demise.

  267. ManGoonian says:

Well, what isnt up for debate, is that what a brilliant career move it was for Jacko; dying…

  268. irishgunner says:

All opinion Honest Bill – don’t get me wrong, Keane was excellent at what he did but I’ve personally never thought he was an exceptionally skilled player.

  269. kelsey says:

Nick, i would say hookers was a more appropriate word,. Nick.

Prices have come down a lot,as long as you stay away from the front line,as the £sterling is so weak and the beaches are empty as the volume of traffic has been halved.

many restaurants are doing a three course meal at lunchtime for 8 or 10 euros.Picasso is still the best value in the port for a quick in and out meal.

Bentley and Pennant have both been here the last two weeks.A pair of tossers.

  270. Honest Bill says:

Irish, I see what you’re saying, but i believe that it takes skill to do what Keane excelled at. From an aesthetic point of view, Keane was was not particularly special with the ball. But i still think he was exceptionally skillful at other equally important aspects of the game

  271. Nick says:

hookers fuck that no pun intended i want birds that are gonna pay not get paid

  272. Nick says:

have you been out there long???

  273. ManGoonian says:

With Keane, it was more to do with his will to win, drive and never say die attitude, not saying he wasnt a good footballer though… But the way he almost singlehandedly got the mancs past Juve in the CL semi in 99, when Juve were a quality outfit, kinda summed him up, IMO..

And I am only mentioning Keane, NOW, coz of his comments slating the Sky Sports pundits who slated wenger… He went up 10000000x in my estimations when he did that…

  274. kelsey says:

    9 years, Nick.

  275. kelsey says:

No, I am not on the run ;)

  276. irishgunner says:

That’s a fair point Honest Bill. Are you Irish btw?

  277. Geoff says:

Irish if you read what I said I was answering your comment when you said he was slapped as a 5 year old, I said so was I, so what.

You then blamed the other kids parents for letting them sleep with their kids.

You then called him an Oddball, fucking oddball, he was a bastard pervert.

    And don’t call me Jesus.

  278. Nick says:

thinking of moving away from this shit hole myself, what made you decide on there if your not on the run ;)

  279. Honest Bill says:

Mangoonian, Not to mention the ‘prawn sandwich’ comment.

“Some of the fans who come to Old Trafford couldn’t even spell football, let alone understand it”

    Absolute legend

  280. Honest Bill says:

Irish, My dad’s Irish, so i do have a special affinity, and do follow the Irish team

  281. Bone8 says:

Sorry for the late reply, KM in Wales.

I have no real idea who to compare Berg with. He’s a bit shorter than Huntelaar, but faster and a better dribler.
His best attribute is his composed finishing, from any angle, with both feet or his head.

  282. Stu says:

Whats Keane been saying thats making everyone love him?

  283. ManGoonian says:

    HB;

Yeah, he was a deffo one off!

  284. Honest Bill says:

    Stu you didn’t hear?

    I’ll find the quote

  285. ManGoonian says:

    Stu;

If you dont know, then i cant help you man!

  286. Stu says:

No Bill, i’ve been ut of the loop today.

  287. ManGoonian says:

See? I dont have to help you, coz Bill will!

  288. irishgunner says:

Agh I see Honest Bill, nice one.

  289. Nick says:

berg sounds like then man we need both feet head the supply he would et from our style we would see the 1st 40+ striker where does he play now and when can he come

  290. Honest Bill says:

‘I was asked by ITV to do the Celtic versus Manchester United game but I’ve done it once for Sky and never again. I’d rather go to the dentist.

‘You’re sitting there with people like Richard Keys and they’re trying to sell something that’s not there.

‘Any time I watch a game on television, I have to turn the commentators off. They say “he’s playing well” and I’m thinking “no, he’s not.”

‘My advice to anyone is don’t listen to the experts, just watch the game and gather your own opinions.

‘There was a debate about Arsene Wenger on Sky and how crazy is that? People are actually getting interviewed saying he shouldn’t be doing this.

‘What that man’s done for English football is amazing and will be remembered in 25, 50, 100 years. Will those on telly yesterday be remembered for what they’ve achieved?
None whatsoever. I wouldn’t trust them to walk my dog.

‘There are ex-players and ex-referees being given air-time who I wouldn’t listen to in a pub.’

  291. Rohan says:

so are you saying berg is like dzeko..they both look similar kinds of players for one.

  292. Stu says:

Well MG, thats because Bill is the better man, i guess.

  293. Geoff says:

Keane was a pony arse prick, he called some of the fans at Old Trafford the Prawn sandwich brigade thinking he was being a clever cunt, without working out that those same people paid his salary and made the EPL happen, if it wasn’t for them he’d have probably worked in a chip shop, fucking ingrate.

  294. Stu says:

    HA! Keane you legend!
Hes fucking right with all of it aswell. The “experts” know fuck all.

    Thanks Bill.

  295. irishgunner says:

I never blamed their parents Geoff, I merely asked why would anyone let their kids sleep at the house of a suspected child molester, no matter how true or false the claims were but if you want to make me out as a pervert sympathizer off with you.

  296. Nick says:

    stu thats a bit spikey

  297. Stu says:

    What is Nick.

  298. kelsey says:

    Nick,

if you want to chat or advise about living over here, send me an e mail via geoff or pedro, happy to oblige.

  299. Mayank says:

Haha loved the keane comment… I’d read it a long time ago i’d forgotten about it. Agree with every word. Can’t turn off the commentary though.

  300. ManGoonian says:

Trust geoff to side with the Prawn sandwich brigade!!

  301. Nick says:

go on keane, cunt but thats true

  302. ManGoonian says:

    Stu;

Of course I am the better man, you know it and I know it and Im sure Bill will be honest enough to admith that too…

  303. Stu says:

There was a commentators strike in NBA or something in america a few years ago. The people watching at home liked it so much more without the commentators that i think they all got fired (or something like that).

  304. Honest Bill says:

Mayank, yeah but you can ignore them and formulate your own opinions. I’ve lost count of the amount of times i’ve heard idiots give me ‘their’ opinions on a game, by quoting verbatim, something Andy Gray said during the game.

If it weren’t for the fact that they weren’t bragging about how good they used to be at headers, i could swear it was him sitting there

  305. Mayank says:

Geoff maybe keane didn’t care about the money, maybe he just wanted that even if half the people come out to cheer the players they should do it with heart and not act as if they’re doing them a favour coming there.

  306. Geoff says:

Ok Bill why don’t we have silent TV then with no opinions, unless of course it’s just to blow smoke up Arsene Wengers arse, oops sorry we already do, it’s called Arsenal.co and ArsenalTV

Stu Keane had a go at Patrick and he was my hero, so I hate the cunt..

  307. Stu says:

Well Mangoonian. Show me some proof and i will admit it and im sure Bill would aswell.

Bill was kind and helpful so for the time being he is better. Its up to you to change that! Simples!

  308. Geoff says:

Keane showed what a nice bloke he was when he walked out on Sunderland.

  309. kelsey says:

Anyone want to bet against me that ethan’s post tomorrow might mention Adebayor :)

  310. Honest Bill says:

Geoff. I just advocate people coming to their own conclusions without Andy Gray telling them what to think. Of course for those who are unable to do so, a commentary option should be included.

And so what if he had a go at Viera. You don’t hear Viera whining about it do you? No because Viera gave as good as he got

  311. Nick says:

nice one kelsey gonna have a rec to see if i like it 1st never been to the main land, like the sound of northen Cyprus as well.gonna try and have a week there this year as well spondula permitting

  312. ManGoonian says:

The bit about nRichard Keys as well tho…. What a snide agenda driven clueless cunt he is! The amount of times he tried to create shit where none existed, particular remember Arsenal v Wigan game, when Kirkland was time wasting from about the 5th minute, and when Henry scored the equaliser (or winner?) he gave Kirkland the ball and was all pumped up, as you’d want and expect your captain to be after a comeback, etc… But no…

Not that hairy hands twat! He tried to make out henry had brought the game into disrepute, and said he oughtta come out with a public apology and tried to get david platt to agree with him…

  313. Mayank says:

I can’t remember the amount of times i’ve been arguing about a fowl for the conversation to be ended by “even the commentator said so”. Andy Gray for instance does what i think is a fair analysis but always adds his own twist to it like “He didn’t get the ball but it was an honest challenge”

  314. Stu says:

MG, it was in fact an OG and Rosicky scored the late winner with a header. But i see your point. The ammount of leading, clueless questions he asks is amazing. He actually knows nothing about football.

  315. ManGoonian says:

    Geoff;

How the fuck did we get from discussing the pros and cons of football pundits and commentators and people bloing some kinda smoke up Wenger’s arse???

  316. Geoff says:

Bill it’s TV without TV there would be no money, to say commentary should be an option is silly really.

As for Vieira no whining, so what? I said that another reason I hate Keane, he’s a sneering little shit.

  317. Nick says:

i dont listen to the commentary a lot sometimes they do talk utter shit and try to make it all about them “when i was a player i ran round everyone twice before id score a goal and got paid in luncheon vouches” now days……

  318. Geoff says:

Because Bill was banging on about what Wenger has done for football in the same breath as having no commentators.

He said they will still be talking about Wenger in 100 years.

  319. ManGoonian says:

    Geoff;

Those were Keane’s quotes tho, fella!

Funny, Keane being more supportive of Wenger than some of the Gooners eh???

    Boom Boom!

  320. Mayank says:

Walked out? He admitted that he’d harm the club and left. Maybe if Southgate had walked out ‘Boro would still be around.

  321. Honest Bill says:

Geoff. Why is it so silly, that i should have the option to turn off the inane drivel without having to turn off the sound effects.

And your having an issue with Keane is blinding you from the fact that he was the captain of our biggest rivals. Of course He and Viera used to have a go at each other, who cares?

  322. zorr0 says:

    Af’noon all!

So we debating anture v nurture, paedos and commentators and Roy Keane being a cunt!

That’s what I love about this list, lol, such variety.

Lions look out on their feet unfortunately!

Fuck me what a kick by Jones!

  323. Nick says:

mayank he left coz he was a cunt and most players hated him and he wanted more money to spend and was told to take a jog and he didn’t like it

  324. ManGoonian says:

Frankly, after his anti-Sky comments, Keane was gonna get pure shite from the media, if he had stayed at Sunderland, IMO…

  325. irishgunner says:

Football would be boring about commentators we’d have no one to give out about and some are good in all fairness. George Hamilton is funny because he can never remember who is playing.

  326. Honest Bill says:

Besides Geoff, I wasn’t banging on about it. That whole post was a direct quote

  327. dennisdamenace says:

    Ronan O’Gara = Cunt

  328. Nick says:

so at what ever team the cunts at now he wont MG bolicks me thinks fella ;)

  329. ManGoonian says:

Where would we be, if we didnt have Jon Champion and Craig Burley to slate??? Oh shit! We dont have em now, do we!

  330. zorr0 says:

    WTF is O’Gara doing!

  331. ManGoonian says:

Of course, he’s at Ipswich now, Im sure he is big enough to dela with any media shit…

I think we are veering off the point here tho…

  332. Geoff says:

MancGoonian it’s called biting the hand that feeds you and that’s what he’s done.

Bill I’m going to leave you all to have a Roy keane love in, I’m an Arsenal fan and hate the bloke, I’ve watched him cheat us for years, I’ll be back when you want to talk Arsenal.

  333. Nick says:

Right grovers im off down the gym one last time before i hit the sun, talk to ya all in two weeks

  334. Stu says:

The best thing about shitanta going under is that a load of ex-spuds lost jobs and the gowl Graham Poll too.

  335. ManGoonian says:

    Oooooooooooooohhhhhh!!! :D

  336. irishgunner says:

    *without not about

  337. ManGoonian says:

    Laters Nick…

Right, whos up for continuing the Roy keane loveathon then??

  338. Honest Bill says:

Haha. well I’m an Arsenal fan and i like the bloke. But it wasn’t me who began veering off the topic of Arsenal. We’d all be talking about pop music and our childhood issues had i not interjected.

But fair enough.. Let’s talk Arsenal

  339. irishgunner says:

Melo hasn’t impressed me in the Confederations Cup

  340. ManGoonian says:

    Bill;

    Right then;

    OK…..erm…. Arsenal you say….. tum tee tum… um….. well….Zzzzzzzzzzzz

  341. Honest Bill says:

Mangoonian. Soooo, i hear Fabregas is leaving ….

  342. Stu says:

That fella Gabriel M……. the italian/american fella who said Melo is defo signing for us.

The cunt was on chelski TV today discussing their season with the other chavs. What the fuck is that all about?

  343. ManGoonian says:

Erm, yeah, I heard that too…. Thats a real shame innit?

  344. Honest Bill says:

    Marcotti?

  345. ManGoonian says:

Marcotti is a media slag bitch, in the pay of who ever will offer him the biggest meal ticket…Maybe?

  346. Stu says:

    Yea Marcotti. Thats the fella.

  347. ManGoonian says:

Erm, no, my response about it being a real shame was your Cesc comment Bill!

  348. Honest Bill says:

    Arent they all ManGoonian?

  349. dennisdamenace says:

Kelsey, you still out there fella?

  350. ManGoonian says:

Erm, anyways Stu, we are sposed to be discussing Arsenal ONLY now, please, keep within the guidelines or else…

  351. Honest Bill says:

Ummmmm, So i think we should get Cana…..

  352. Stu says:

Arsenal huh…….Rebrov has signed for Arsenal. And thats no lie!

  353. Stu says:

No its Denisov all the way Bill. Click my name for a clip.

  354. ManGoonian says:

I see what you did there Stu, and i like it! Cheeky!

Right, here’s my team for next season then…oops, almost tripped over some tumbleweed then…

    Buffon
    Sagna Hangeland Vermaellen Clichy
    Essien Cesc
    Silva Arshy RvP
    Benzema

  355. Stu says:

    What did i do?

  356. Honest Bill says:

Yeah was only talking crap Stu. I’ve never even seen Cana play. But yeah your guy looks good in that montage.

    ManGoonian… No David Villa?

  357. ManGoonian says:

OMG! SSN are rehashing the Ade to Milan BS based on those Galliani quotes now! FFS! Its a slow news day for real…

  358. ManGoonian says:

    David Villa??

Come on Bill, like thats ever gonna happen!!! :)

  359. Honest Bill says:

ManGoonian… Even in a swap for Senderos?

  360. ManGoonian says:

I really hope Theo signs off for the summer with a great performance in the U21s final on Monday…

  361. ManGoonian says:

Well, maybe Senderos & Eboue then…

  362. Honest Bill says:

Me too ManGoonian, But i suspect he won’t if he’s played up top on his own. Although he still may, you never know

  363. ManGoonian says:

Maybe Gibbs can play on the left wing or in the middle to give him a few quality npasses to run onto?

  364. Honest Bill says:

I’d like to see Gibbs on the left actually. I think his talents may be a little wasted at the back

  365. ManGoonian says:

And thats me.. Im all out of Arsenal related stuff…. Jeeez! That was hard work, I tell yer!

  366. Honest Bill says:

    So ….. Farrah fawcett’s dead

  367. Mayank says:

I’d gone off for a while… Geoff got wound up by Keane, haha isn’t the first one.

  368. Mayank says:

“I am always comfortable doing the hard work in the middle, for me it is an honour,” the 32-year-old destroyer told FIFA.com. “It’s what I was made to do. For me it’s simple: I do my job in the best way I can and support from deep. If I do my job, then the other guys can do theirs and be creative, score goals. Look at the players we have – Kaka, Robinho, Luis Fabiano – they don’t need Gilberto Silva up there to help with the creating!”
We need someone younger with that mentality.

  369. kelsey says:

    DDM,

    yes I am back

  370. Honest Bill says:

Mayank. Yeah but also with ability, would be quite nice

  371. ManGoonian says:

    Farah Fawcett’s dead????

    No way?

  372. Mayank says:

Yeah but at least in his position a bit a footballing intelligence and heart can go a long way.

  373. Stu says:

Who is this Farah Fawcett ye speak of?

  374. ManGoonian says:

    Stu;

One of the original Charlie’s Angels…

  375. Stu says:

Its a shame that there are no DMs that are both physically dominant and a great runner aswell. Its either one or the other.

  376. Mayank says:

Are we allowed to speak of her? Did she support aresnal… sorry couldn’t resist…

  377. Stu says:

Thanks MG. I’d ask which one she was but i dont know any of them so it would be pointless.

  378. Stu says:

What else is there to talk about tho…

Potential signings has been done to death, as has arsenal players we want gone. There is nothing much left…unless we are overlooking something else obvious.

  379. Mayank says:

Yup Stu same with defenders regarding pace and height more or less. That’s why arsenal have a hard time finding defenders.

  380. kelsey says:

    Stu,

you are the village idiot of this site, but nevertheless amusing, good hearted and lovable ;)

  381. Stu says:

Kelsey, how dare you question my intellegance just because i dont know about things that were relevant from before my birth!

  382. kelsey says:

Oh, that was a compliment but a bit back handed, no offence meant.

  383. Mayank says:

Seriously… can’t believe people discussed the u-21 match at length, i hate summer.

  384. Stu says:

HA! Thats not the right spelling for intelligence.

  385. Mayank says:

So Stu’s the village idiot eh?…That’s a load off my mind.

  386. Honest Bill says:

Yeah Mayank. God how I miss the Prem

  387. kelsey says:

intelligence, that’s right you are learning Stu, have an ice cream ;0

  388. Stu says:

    Stop bullying me Kelsey….

  389. irishgunner says:

Kelsey – if there is a village idiot here it must be me. I’m so into celebrity that I condone kiddie fiddlers don’t you know.

  390. ManGoonian says:

Stu; It was a bit beofre my time, but still fella, dont take too much to find out n shit…

  391. Honest Bill says:

Yeah stop bullyimg him and give him the icee cream

  392. ManGoonian says:

    Irish;

Dont let that horrible man get to you sweety!

  393. kelsey says:

At least you have got a sense of humour Stu, that’s worth a lot (I think)

    Irish,
I will not be drawn into that one,but i understand what you meant.

  394. Stu says:

Bill, thats so ride. Im not a fat child eating ice cream in south africa!

  395. zorr0 says:

Not happy about Gibbs defending for 2 of the goals last night; crosses came in too easy.

  396. Dutchman says:

Who is the replacement for adebayor if he leaves?

  397. Stu says:

Research MG! You should know i dont do research!

  398. ManGoonian says:

Zorro; Give it a rest with the serious football chat already!

  399. Honest Bill says:

    Dutchman, Bendtner I would assume

  400. kelsey says:

Napoleon was before my time, but I looked him up and he was in the Man from U.N.C.L.E.

  401. irishgunner says:

Ha ha ManGoonian I’m far from a “sweety” when something or someone winds me up, the claws come out.

Kelsey – Glad someone got it. What an awful thing to be accused of condoning and making excuses for child abuse. Then again our own manager has been accused of it and I have wrote several letters to no avail to the FA and other media but it doesn’t seem to cause too much of a stink with other people does it?

  402. ManGoonian says:

The Men From UNCLE were way cool!

  403. Stu says:

Bendtner will be a more than Ade-quate replacement.

  404. Honest Bill says:

    Stu.. Nice one, very smooth

  405. ManGoonian says:

    Irish;

Don’t get me started on the Peado chants Wenger has to endure, that the FA & media completely condone by ignoring them and letting the spuds and mancs fans get away with it…

Funny, how they decided to jump on Arry’s Pompey player Sol’s abuse… Effin hypocrites…

  406. kelsey says:

    Stu,

you chose the subject and we will all follow. Not football related.

  407. irishgunner says:

ManGoon – I’ve wondered why it doesn’t bother Arsenal fans more. I’m sure it does to a degree but I don’t hear too much of anyone doing anything to try and stop it. Suppose in the last few seasons we’ve been more interested in finding a stick to beat him with.

  408. Stu says:

Fine so Kelsey. I was at the gym yesterday and found out that my body percentage fat is 6.8%. Thats a figure to rival professional athletes.

Now ye can all get jealous!

  409. Honest Bill says:

Irish. The trouble is you can’t really stop the idiots all chanting shit. The best way to combat it, is to beat the shit out of them on the pitch

  410. kelsey says:

isn’t Old Harry still on bail.Much more serious accusations there, but not a word about it in the press.

  411. ManGoonian says:

    Kelsey;

He is? I guess me not having a clue, kinda proves your point!

  412. Geoff says:

Irish you need to let it go go and read your comment at 14.58 where you said you put a lot of his weirdness down to his dad.

He was a pervert, that was down to him, if you want to carry that on fine, if I were you I would move on, don’t make this into a row.

Kelsey what do you mean by, you understand what she means?

I have kids Irish, you know that, I cannot see anything endearing in someone who sleeps with kids, nor will I hear excuses made for them as to why they turned into king size fuck ups.

  413. kelsey says:

Can’t follow that Stu, very impressive.
The best I can do is raising my hand when I want a taxi.

  414. Dutchman says:

    Class skills,isn’t it?

  415. irishgunner says:

Honest Bill – The Spurs fans got fined and banned for the chants they sang at Sol Campbell. This has been going on for 13 years and the FA from where I stand haven’t made any attempts to stop it. I’m all for banter at a football match but there is a line that shouldn’t be crossed and the Wenger chant crosses it for me.

  416. Honest Bill says:

Yeah Merida looks pretty special from what i’ve seen of him

  417. ManGoonian says:

Stu, here’s a recent picture of me on holiday, just before I kicked soem sand in a wimp’s face. fella…

    http://www.aolcdn.com/aolr/guys-beach-body-six-pack-400a050307.jpg

  418. irishgunner says:

If you go back to that comment Geoff I just said he was an oddball and eccentric, never mentioned the pervert stuff, you brought that into the conversation and then it snowballed from there.

From where I’m sitting you are accusing me of condoning child molestation just because it happens to involved a person I greatly admire as an artist which isn’t the case.

  419. Honest Bill says:

ManGoonian. Don’t wanna know where you really got that pic

  420. Stu says:

    LOL Bill!!

  421. kelsey says:

    Geoff,

i understood what both you and irish were implying, but i don’t want to be drawn into the subject, and certainly not into a row.i will say a lot of it is conjecture and honestly I am not sure one way or another regardless of what I have seen or heard.
in Glitter’s case i believe it was proven without doubt,

  422. Dutchman says:

I will say this is the replacement for fabregas for sure.

  423. ManGoonian says:

    Geoff;

I aint getting involved in a row here, but i think how people are brought up, particualrly extreme conditions and behviours will have an effect on the child as they grow up. I can, if you want get some research (Stu, you reading this?) about it as well…

But, what i cannot get my head round is, the fact that the abused child who grows up to become an abuser, when they know full well that the shite they do is illegal, etc…????

    But let’s move on…

  424. Samir says:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2H7KFj0BzA

I love that V.Persie skill. He did it in the Emirates cup and scored from it didn’t he…

  425. ManGoonian says:

    HB;

Hey fella, just my Facebook photos page mate… Or I just typed six pack in google??? Cant remember…

  426. Geoff says:

Nick – I put down a lot of Jackson’s weirdness to his father who pardon my french seemed a complete bollix. What kind of man beats up a five year old for not dancing right and tells him he’s ugly. He never had a chance. That was your comment Irish.

I don’t care if you admire him, I couldn’t admire anyone that thinks sleeping with 8 year old boys is Ok.

Let’s leave it at that then.

Kelsey MJ admitted he slept with 8 year old, what more needs proving?

Leave it there and move on.

  427. Dutchman says:

    Yes, he did samir. Impossible!!

  428. Geoff says:

I hear you ManGoonian, it’s beyond me, there is no degrees to being a paedo, I only slept with an 8 year old is like saying ‘I’m not a murderer because I only killed one person.

Anyway as I said, best to move on. This is just stifling debate.

  429. Stu says:

What i dont get about Peados is that they are all gay(generally) :???:

More often than not its stories of boys getting molested. I dont get that at all.

  430. Samir says:

    This is the one..

  431. Honest Bill says:

    D

  432. Honest Bill says:

    D

  433. Honest Bill says:

    D

  434. Dutchman says:

Who will be the replacement for adebayor???
    Rossi???Chamakh???Gomis?????Niang?????Pograbniak???Kanouté????

  435. Honest Bill says:

DOn’t know why RVP doesn’t use his talent more often. It seems as if he’s lost some confidence. If he can get it back he will be pretty special

  436. ManGoonian says:

Stu; I thought Kelsey was only jokin when he called you the village idiot fella???

  437. Stu says:

I remember that VP gal. I was at the matches the day before. My one and only visit to the emirates.

  438. Geoff says:

They can’t fight back Stu, Bill what is D?

  439. Honest Bill says:

    Haha. Dunno what happened there

  440. Stu says:

ManG, im on a learning curve. I gotta ask the questin to get an answer.

  441. Geoff says:

Samir that was on Setanta, anyone remember them?

  442. irishgunner says:

“I put down a lot of Jackson’s weirdness to his father who pardon my french seemed a complete bollix. What kind of man beats up a five year old for not dancing right and tells him he’s ugly. He never had a chance.”

I said “a lot” not “all”.

No I don’t think he had too much of a chance of being so-called “normal” when he was pressed into the limelight at 5 and beaten to perform well, isn’t that what they do at the zoo with elephants?

I couldn’t care less whether you admire him or not. I do and have no problem admitting that, he had an extreme talent for music.

In regards to him being a pervert that is a different story and I don’t in any way condone what he may have done which you seem to think I do.

All I was saying about the parents of the second boy was why would anyone in their right mind let their kid stay over night in a house with a man who had been accused of such a horrible thing.

I’ll leave it at but I’ll not let it be said that I condone such behaviour.

  443. Stu says:

    G….G….G…..Galway!

  444. Dutchman says:

    Who????????????? Is Niang an option??

  445. ManGoonian says:

Stu; You know Im only jokin with ya buddy! BUT, I was gonna type sumfin to answer your query, but i really wanna leave it now dude…

  446. Honest Bill says:

    C..C..C..Combo breaker

  447. Stu says:

Good idearrr Mangoonian. Lets stop all this tomfoolery!

Back to football. Niang aint an option because he is near 30 and not that great.
    BENDTNER is the answer! FACT!

  448. Geoff says:

Ok Irish you have now said that 3 times, time to move on.

I don’t admire anyone who sleeps with 8 year olds, whatever their music, if you do that’s up to you.

I don’t want to debate him anymore this is a football site.

  449. Stu says:

    nanananananananana…BATMAN!

  450. ManGoonian says:

    Tomfoolery… Quality word there Stu!

  451. Stu says:

    Damn! Thats not right!

    It should be nana-nana-nana-nana-nana-nana-nana-nana-BATMAN!!!

  452. Dutchman says:

Stu,are you a great fan of bendtner????
I think also he can score 20+goals

  453. Stu says:

Batman! The only “superhero” with no powers except lots of monies. He was a fraud!

  454. Honest Bill says:

Yeah Stu, you can’t have it said that you’re Batman theme tune recitals are sub-standard

  455. irishgunner says:

    I’m only clarifying the situation!

  456. Stu says:

I dont know about “great fan” Dutchman. I think he is ‘aight.

  457. ManGoonian says:

    Dutchman Says:
    June 27, 2009 at 17:18

I think also he can score 20+goals
    ————————————
I can imagine you saying that line with a proper Dutch akshent man!

  458. Stu says:

Recitals…no theres a word i’ve never seen before.

  459. Honest Bill says:

I think Bendtner could get 20+ for us. But he needs a good run in the side, and probably a strike partner to do so. But if he is confident enough, he has the ability for sure

  460. Stu says:

    Recitals…recitals…recitals….Nope, dont recognise it.

  461. Stu says:

If Bendtner starts up front with either Eduardo/Vela or maybe arshavin then he would easily get 20 goals a season.

  462. Dutchman says:

    Yes Mangoonian :D

  463. ManGoonian says:

Bendy and vela, or bendy and Eduardo would work for me, but we aint playing 2 up top anymore are we???

  464. Honest Bill says:

Wenger said he would play the formation to fit the situation. So we can infer what we like from that.

Bendtner and Vela always seem to link well. I would like to see them combine

  465. KM in WALES says:

    hmmmm

  466. ManGoonian says:

Interesting point you make there KM…

  467. Honest Bill says:

It wasn’t quite as poignant or insightful as ‘D’ but it was still quite interesting

  468. Geoff says:

Bill I think he means he doesn’t know who will be fit and he has a lot of players to choose from, so he’ll change his team a lot as he has a fair few players if all fit!

  469. Dutchman says:

I think AW will looking for a 4-3-3 formation.

  470. ManGoonian says:

Well, I took it to mean that we will be playign a new formation or 2. As it suits the players better. Thoe, for instance may well be played further up the pitch in a 3 pronged attack just behind the lone striker… Or maybe, Im talkin shizen???

    You decide…

  471. Honest Bill says:

Geoff. Yeah you’re probably right there. There is an ‘embarrassment of riches’ as far as attacking options go. So i think we will see many different combos. Not sure if i’m entirely pleased about that though. We all know the effectiveness of continuity in a side. But having said that. I would rather that than having too few options

  472. Stu says:

Off the footballing topic…has anyone got any serious music suggestions for my ipod? Anyone at all thats good.

  473. Honest Bill says:

    What kind of genré Stu?

  474. goonermichael says:

    stu
What type of music do you like?

  475. Stu says:

Thats why im asking. Im trying to vary it all.

So far i have KOL, Abba, Beatles, Queen, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lilly Allen, MGMT etc etc. No trend what so ever.

  476. Dutchman says:

    Topscorers 09/10 Bendtner 25
    Eduardo 24
    Vela 20

    Assists RvP 19
    Arshavin 19
    Fabregas 15
    :D

  477. ManGoonian says:

  478. Geoff says:

  479. Dutchman says:

    Homecoming kanye west!!

  480. Stu says:

MG, im not that technologically advanced so all i know how to do is music. Havent yet figured out how to put videos on.

  481. Stu says:

    That was for Geoff.

MG, i have 3 Kasabian songs on it.

  495. ManGoonian says:

  496. Stu says:

  506. Geoff says:

Language can be a problem here but not in marbella and i presume most speak english in Cyprus.

  532. ManGoonian says:

Lo siento pero donde vives exactamente Kelsey?

  533. dennisdamenace says:

Note that this table is made by the 2 points system.

    Liverpool 3754 1738 937 1079 6163-4590 4413
    Everton 4138 1688 1018 1432 6486-5812 4394

    Aston Villa 3804 1574 891 1339 6325-5673 4041

I will put this in tomorrow also in case you’re all asleep now…

  539. patthegooner says:

Where did you get that from Ray?

  540. gazzap says:

Ray, we can take second place from Everton fairly soon I would say. Liverpool will take a very long time to catch. Good stats though.

  541. patthegooner says:

I have seen it all now, the most unbelieveable Transfer link from the most reputable of Papers.

Complete Bollocks, but I would love it it we beat them to Benzema. Imagine Ade out Benzema in. Fuck me that would be all my christmas’s at once

    http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/premier_league/arsenal/article6591106.ece

  542. incesc says:

    i just saw that patthegooner.

sounds exciting, benzema for ade lol 8) brilliant stuff

  543. KM frm WALES says:

    http://goonertalk.com/2009/06/27/wenger-why-i-stayed-ade-cesc-are-going-nowhere/

any of u guys seen this from goonertalk? interesting read….

  544. Dutchman says:

Yes, i think that benzema won’t come in but I don’t believe that AW will not replace adebayor. And now you can say, we have enough forwards.Yes, but not a adebayor typ of striker maybe he will battle united for benzema you never now. Last year arsenal was linked with a double swoop for ben arfa and benzema and it was seriously. As adebayor goes for 20 million than you have 20million+7 and you can buy benzema. Than you will buy melo for 18 million and we are 35 million pound less rich(vermalen 10 million).

  545. RayGooner says:

i got the stats by adding each seasons results, it took me all day, that’s why i was on so late…

  546. Stu says:

Dutchman, a forward who can battle? I think you are thinking of the old Ade. He doesnt out himself about like Drgshit does and doesnt run nearly as much as he used to do before he thought he had ‘made it’.

  547. Stu says:

Apparently according to Arsenal action we are buying Ribery for 40m and Benzema for at least 30m on Benzema. Wouldnt that be nice.

We can have those 2 in and fly to mars with Jesus.

  548. Stu says:

Oops, i seem to have said Benzema twice there. Oh well….

So whats the story with Bischoff then? If he only had a 1 year contract then surely he should be gone now. But instead i hear that he is still around! What the fack!

  549. mike says:

I have a feeling that Arsene is going to pull off the transfer coup of the summer!

  550. Pat says:

Star says their “source” thinks the deal might even be done(for Ribery)!!

hahahahah, someones smoking to much ganja.

I tell you what, I’d fucking love it if it happened. I’d start dancing wherever I am if the news came out, be it church, work, important meeting, etc.

I’d go fucking nuts if we signed Ribery for 30 mil+Bendtner. Benzema as well, but Ribery is a lot better

  551. Pat says:

If Benzema wants to guarantee himself a 1st team place before the world cup, which is why he is scared of a move from what I hear, then Arsenal is the place to be.

  552. Angelos says:

Yeah, and my “source” says that Peter Hill-Wood was stroking one under the desk during that board-meeting while Gazidis was motorboating Milly, the elderly cleaner who waters the flowers from time to time.

I don’t know who’s more retarded, the idiots who think people are going to believe this crap or the people that oblige and follow through whole-heartedly. I think it’s an infinite regress of pure stupidity and anyone who enters into it deserves to eat one between the eyes.

  553. ManGoonian says:

    Wow!!

We are gonna sign Ribery AND Benzema!!! Its in the papers, so is true…

    Brilliant!!!

  554. GoonerGod says:

Why are we getting upset about Muamba? We moan about lack of experience, then say we shouldn’t have let him go? What do we do then? Keep everyone?
Our squad is ok, but needs additions.
Wenger isn’t stupid, and if he felt that certain players were good enough, then he’d have tried to keep them.
Look at Johnson going to the Scousers for £17m… Really? Is he that good? And if he was, would Chelsea have let him go? No way!
We need 3 players added, and that’s after our Belgian centre half!
Anyone heard the rumours about the Bordeaux striker? Done deal apparently!

  555. nishanth says:

Its funny that the moment a top class player is linked to arsenal we all says it rubbish.BTW i don’t believe for a second that benzema or ribery is coming

I creamed myself a little at this.
We missed the boat on Villa.
    History shouldn’t repeat itself!!!!

  557. kelsey says:

    RayGooner,
must have taken ages to comply that list, but does it take into account relegation and you say all is based on 2 points for a win, when the three point change has been with us for a long time,so it is questionable.

Reading all the tabloids today, forget any 40 million bid for Ribery but I feel if the Times is to be believed,Ade will be sold if it suits Arsenal and a replacement is available at an equivalent price.otherwise he will stay. my gut feeling is that he is on his way to Italy.

strong rumour Michael Owen will turn down Hull and move to Everton, his preferred choice, but for less money.Could be the transfer of the season or the biggest gamble..

  558. Geoff says:

He could sell Ade and buy Benzema, job done, he won’t bid with Fergie though, how depressing.

I’d bring Reyes back as well, for £4mil, he’d come back a different Reyes.

  559. ManGoonian says:

    Yeah, even worse!!!

  560. Geoff says:

Welcome to Le Grove iTw, you are now free to blog.

    Make you right though!

  561. Rohan says:

yes we’re going upmarket..the benz is on his way….

  562. iTw@ says:

Where is Cartman?? That guy is so cool and fantsastic and fabulous! :D

  563. ManGoonian says:

Sod it! Im gonna completely disregard anything my brain says and I will completely be taken in by all this Benzema talk…

Karim is a Gooner! Karim is a Gooner!

  564. Geoff says:

Well todays post is all about Ade and written by Ethan so it may want you want Benzema even more, iTw Cartman is more of a weekly blogger.

He’s on the beach all weekend!

  565. Geoff says:

    New post!

  566. Big Raddy says:

    Geoff,

    iTw must be Cartman !

  567. Geoff says:

Unless he’s using a new ip address, it’s not, maybe he’s not what he seems, eh???

  568. Angelos says:

Geoff, I completely agree with you on the Reyes front. But everyone should calm down with the whole Benzema deal. Two years ago I would have believed it but now it’s as clear as day that Wenger wouldn’t do something as logical as selling Adebayor and adding 12 mil to get somebody twice as good…whatever, it’s part of supporting Arsenal I guess.
