Wenger you insult us, how dare you.

by & filed under Uncategorized.

So the much awaited questions and answers day when I got it wrong, happened last night. I thought the questions would be sanitised but he threw the floor open and really didn’t like what he heard, I really think he thinks he is bigger than this club now.

He starts by saying this ‘At the moment what this team needs is the support of the fans. I must say there is a massive difference between the away fans, who are absolutely fantastic, and the home fans’

So for all of us that go to the ground and sing our brains out, he is saying the away fans are better, how dare you, you pompous arrogant man, how dare you devalue what people like me have contributed to your ridiculous youth policy that clearly isn’t working, how dare you.

Your legacy at this club could be legendary, the way you are going you will be sacked, and that is a tragedy.

All you AKB’s out there, did you hear that, he said you were all shit. He said the away fans were better, he was saying in a round about way that you can not have an opinion and must love the teams he puts out.

Someone said that you should sell Adebayor and that person got applauded, you tell us he is great and has lost his confidence and that is down to us, not supporting him, poor bastard, it must be tough when you earn £80k a week to keep up your spirits. Sucking up to Milan must have sapped your strength.

What planet do you live on, you say that if this experiment doesn’t work in the next two years we can blame you, so what , you want another two years on your huge salary before you are admit you’re wrong?

You then say these players are wanted by all of the elite clubs, well I don’t believe you, who has ever bid for Diaby, Denilson or Song? Really, tell me, who’s team would they get into, no one I know who supports other clubs would have them, we get stuffed by the Mancs and you come back with they are world champions, well they are world champions because they buy decent players, that’s why, and when we played them we were woeful, as someone said last night, they have no bottle and for an Arsenal side , that is a disgrace.

How the owners of this great club keep listening to your bullshit, is beyond me. You are delusional, the law of averages says you’ll win something eventually, Portsmouth won the FA cup last season.

You enter the Carling Cup with no intention to win it, you say it’s to see how good the kids are, Wilshere looked great, Ramsey looked great and Vela looked great, so what do you do, play them? No you keep faith with Denilson and Diaby, and please tell me why you were so pleased when you signed Silvestre, he even worse than Stepanovs, why is that, talented players don’t get a look in and talentless players get games and lose them for us.

I can’t think of one person in world football that thinks you are right, apart from Peter Hill Wood and Ivan Gazidas, there’s a surprise.

You had a chance last night to admit you were wrong and start the recovery process, you let us down and yet again you dissed the fans, shame on you. Shame on Arsenal.

I won’t stop supporting Arsenal because it’s in me, same with most of the suckers that go every week, you though have insulted us once again and now you want another 2 years before you admit you have screwed up, that will make 7 years in a well paid job with nothing to show for it, you really have worked your magic on this board mate.

That’s assuming you win nothing in the next 2 years of course. I’m sorry if there are those out there that think I’m wrong for feeling like this, but when a shareholder offers to put this right by paying off the stadium debt and we are told by the manager his team is good enough, everyone wants them, they do have fight and the fans are shit, I think I have the right to be annoyed.

I watched the Leeds vs Millwall game last night, you should show that to your team, at least both teams showed some fight. And the whole stadium stood up and not one pony arsed steward was there telling them to sit down, I have never experienced an atmosphere like I did against the Mancs in the semi final pasting, the reason it turned negative was because your team and your tactics were shit, don’t blame us, blame yourself.

I have never in my whole life criticised an Arsenal manager like I’m criticising you, I even had some sympathy for George Graham when he got fired, but having said that, you are the first manager in my time that has criticised the fans who pay your wages and I go all the way back to Bertie Mee. Shame on you.

Good evening grovers, manyoo tomorrow…..we should be making predictions like 4-0 to the Arsenal but we know that we have sensitive types on 50k a week on the team, I’d understand if it was the ladies team but Manyoo used to be massive. Hav a look at the good old days and the good old goals. Bring back Henry and sell Ade, he won’t learn what offside is from Wenger, maybe the “come on mate you can do it!!” thumbs up tactic Wenger likes best doesn’t work for everyone.

Oh and my prediction for tomorrow???
3-0…….Arshavin will brink his AK-47 shooting foot, score us a hatrick……I don’t give a shit that Manyoo have a title to win….we’ve got a game to win!

  2. David

If Arsene Wenger admitted to mistakes…What mistake did he admit to making and how did he say he was going to fix them?

  3. Faceman

    fuck, sounds like it did.

this Q&A is MUST watch TV for every gooner.

they must release this on the net for all to see in FULL

not read little bullshit shit stirring snippets in the gutter press.

  4. The man who hate Wenger

I don’t even like the way he smiles, very urgly thing. I said it at the beginning of this season that arsenal would pay very dearly for not buying good players, so what happened now?

Looking at a fool manager that is fooling his fans, he is not sure if his team could win anything, so all the players (kids) he has been grooming are not ready yet for four years, so we have to wait for another two year, so that will be six years before you can groom a winning team, this man is sucker, he need to be sack before is too fucking late.

Can anybody please tell me what Wenger problems are? he did not owns arsenal fc, does he? he is not going to use his money to buy players, to buy player the money has to be arsenal’s fc. Hill-Wood shame on you, for allow your manager to been dictating for you also for allowing your manager to be insulting an entire fans. LOOSERS, LOOSERS, LOOSERS BOUCH OF LOOSERS. WENGER OH HOOO OH HOOOOO, WENGERRRRR, WENGER OH HOOOOO OOHOO WENGERRRR, WENGER YOU DON’T LOOSE OOOOH, WENGERRR I PROMISE YOU WILL LOOSE AGAIN OOOOO, AMEN

  5. Pedro

    Hi Paul!

Have you got the vibe we’re going to turn them over?

I do… I really think it’ll happen… just to keep the league going till the last game!

  6. paul

I always believe, stupid i know but thats what it’s all about,we still have pride to play for.Unleash the Russian i say.

  7. PDT

Yo, Pedro! How have you been?

Gotta put in my 2p on yesterday’s post. Today’s post, your time.

You know I have a dim view of Wenger and the team. Every time I tune in to Le Grove, I look forward to having a dose of optimism injected through your and Geoff’s words.

Yesterday, I didn’t get my regular dose of optimism. I have to confess that I felt bad.

I don’t know about the rest, but as a confirmed gooner and a confirmed grover, I come here to be uplifted. I do hope that you guys don’t sink into my morass.

  8. Pedro

PDT, Geoff was pretty gutted about what Wenger said… he feels he’s invested a lot of his money and time into the club… so to be blamed for the year felt like a personal attack.

Geoff will be back with a rousing post tomorrow!

    Evening GM… I’m with Paul… I just can’t help myself… I really reckon we’ll turn it on tomorrow!

If the Arsh is playing… we’ll be in with a chance!

  9. paul

Pedro i would like to see the club ban away fans from club level next year.We had Man scum and Chavs in our section lately,i had a row with the stewards but was told to watch my behaviour

  10. A

    eduardo isn’t back pdt….

    almunia is out too

    fab

    sagna toure silvestre gibbs

    theo cesc song nasri arshavin

    bendy/vp

with ars moving up to make it 4-4-2 depending on how the game is going

  11. A

actually maybe jd for silvestre, hard to choose between the two of them seeing as they’re both pants.

  12. Pedro

Paul, Geoff and I have had bust ups over that… it’s fucking outrageous… they’re never well behaved and always cause problems. Trouble is, they usually pay the full meal deal package…

Something else that bothers me about CL is the Champions league games where they pen us off… I really hate that. You become second class in your own seat.

PDT… thing with Le Grove is we just post whatever we feel… it’s not choreographed or written with balance in mind… it’s written on feeling. That is why it’s polarizing… but as long as it’s thrashed out in the comments, it doesn’t matter.

We’re all gooners at the end of the day, and we’ll all have differing opinions.

  13. A

noone would sack wenger, because those in power have been at the club for a long time, and we’re currently at a sustained level higher than any time pre wenger, so they wouldn’t risk the potential for upsetting the stability and dropping out of the top 4, which could be catastrophic

  14. paul

If the Mancs are winning i will have to turn the sound off.I reckon we should get our own singing section in club level

  15. Stu

I’d play Bendtner up front Bendtner up front with AA. Not 4-5-1 with AA pushing forward depending on the game. It should be 4-4-2. 4-4-1-1 at worst. Nasri and Vela or Theo on the otherside to Nasri.

  16. A

pedro im completely with you re club level, i’ve never had the pleasure of watching the game from there before, but it’s a piss take the way our fans are treated and allowing away fans etc

  17. PDT

A, sorry to hear Dudu is out. I am convinced that Eduardo can do at least as good a job as Ade played aloned up front.

  18. goonermichael

Is anyone going to the youth game at the swamp on Sunday? I’ve never been there but someone told me there was trouble at the qf of the youth cup.

  19. A

I think eduardo next season could do that role in a front 3, barca style formation, which will be implemented more.

he’s out for the rest of this season though unfortunately

  20. PDT

    From the Times….

Wenger was subjected to criticism from fans at a shareholders question-and-answer session on Thursday evening. “I believe that the biggest regret of the season is that the supporters were ready for a hot night against Man United and we couldn’t deliver,” he said. “For me that was the failure of the season. “

  21. PDT

I suspect that Wenger was misquoted in most of the media. He isn’t stupid enough to turn on the fans.

  22. abdulhakim09

daily mail/mirror didn’t put that in their articles lulz…making the Q&A like a bitchfest!!

  23. Stu

Im undecided about te keeper. Almunia was obviously dropped last week regardless of what anyone says. Fabianski wasnt at fault for the chav goals last week but isnt ready for the big games. Its a toughie…..

  24. choy

nikki b to start tomorrow.. then we will have a chance.. ade has done fack all in the CL… give pink boots a chance… and please please start the russian!

  25. zorr0

Stu, he should have got hands on the 2nd and he freaked Toure out for the 3rd, which was why he panicked and fucked up!

  26. A

almunia was geniunly injured last week stu, and still is

abdul i’ve taped the Q&A, i’ll try and get round to typing out the transcript on sunday if it isn’t available before then!

  27. A

If ade starts tomorrow, then i’ll be convinced that the only reason for it is that wenger is hoping he’ll score so ups his price and interest in him a bit! In fact if he starts then wenger is definitely planning to sell him!

  28. Pedro

A… most in club level are just normal fans wanting an upgrade… or people going the back door route for the tickets. It’s a real shame when they allow the away support in… then ban the home support from singing…

Paul… Gunner8 is in club level and he was looking to get a petition going for a singing section in club level. I reckon that is a great idea.

PDT… Anelka will be too old now. If we sell Ade… let’s swap him for Mikel. We don’t need anymore strikers in my view.

  29. abdulhakim09

A, what can you conclude about the Q&A, is it as bad as it was potrayed?

“If you play tennis tomorrow, you lose against Nadal, you can still say you are a good player.” – WENGER

  30. A

ha i would if i knew how abdul, it’s on my sky+ rather than laptop though so no such luck! would do it later but gotta be up early tomorrow and won’t be back until sunday, so i’ll do it at some point when i’m back sunday afternoon. wanna do it for myself anyways.

  31. Pedro

Stu… Fab was responsible for a bulk of the chav goals.

He is not ready… Almunia is much more solid.

  32. A

zorro/abdul not watched it yet, havn’t had the chance tonight to watch it properly so can’t say i’m afraid!

pedro – ade for mikel or alex, or both, really would make me so happy

  33. Pedro

A… surely it’s not out of the question?

That would be a great deal for us… and Mikel is never going to supersede Essien?

  34. A

yeah i agree pedro – good deal for everyone.

IF, and it’s a big if, chelsea would actually want ade, then the only way we’d do business with them is if we got someone in return, as roman isn’t willing to pay the silly money that we’d need to negotiate with them when we could get the same money from elsewhere in europe.

  35. goonerpress

Isn’t there a USB port on Sky+ boxes? Maybe you can try connect that to your laptop and find a way to move the recorded Q&A session to your laptop.

  36. Stu

Ok Fab wasnt the best. But the first was unstoppable, the second was an amazng shot, and ok for the third he may have forced Toure into scuffing the ball into the goal but he was helpless for their last goal.

  37. A

i’ve googled it before gp, but never had any luck working out how/whether it’s possible. If anyone can tell me how though….?!

  38. Pedro

Stu… the second wasn’t even in the bottom corner… the third he was wildly out of position… and the 4th…well… can’t put that on him.

The first wasn’t his fault, but he didn’t even make an attempt…

  39. Stu

I cant believe ye want Mikel so much. I mean he isnt the worst but he isnt great either. I would much rather Alex.

  40. Stu

The third, he was closing down the angle. He probably did come to far but he was doing the right thing. Toure could have done a lot better. He jumped on the ball and it squeezed in.

  41. Pedro

“Where do I buy or who, that is difficult to speak about because if you come out with that you pay double price. We are rich, but we are not rich enough to do that. However, we will buy.”

Thank fuck for that… I’m keeping them crossed for good things!

  42. A

I’d love either of them stu – both are better than what we’ve got, and would make a significant difference to the team. Maybe i would prefer alex actually, as finding a top defender is much more difficult than a dm currently, and alex is something we’ve just not got, but in song we’ve got a poor man’s mikel already

  43. Pedro

GP, tall, powerful… a good passer… he’d slot right in. I’d like alex as well, but that’s not happening is it!

  44. A

yeah gp, he’s absolutely quality, very underrated imo. Very big, strong, good technique and reads the game very well. Good on the ball too. He’s the same age as song too, and has a lot of improving that can be done, but he’s already very good.

  45. A

i dunno pedro – i could see either happening, especially if chelsea’s interest in bruno alves is genuine, but even then if chelsea wanted ade that badly, they’d be willing to part with their sub centre back or sub dm

  46. goonerpress

Alex and Mikel for Adebayor would be great. I really really like Alex. Top class defender. Got a good freekick in him and all.

Pedro, do you live in Spain?

  47. zorr0

They might let Alex go if they rate Manciennes enough!

3 things. 1, the papers and web are full of shit. 2 AW will never comment on targets because like he says, as soon as he does it puts the price up and alerts the world to players he rates. 3, agents are the scummiest cunts n the world and use clubs and managers to run their players up and AW seemingly being interested in a player is worth gold to them.

  48. Stu

Well if Ade is supposedly worth 20m and IF chelski are really interested him and IF a swap is a possibility then Mikel is hardly worth it. Alex definately.

  49. A

I disagree stu – i think they’d both be worth around the same – mikel could well develop into one of the best dms in the world, though alex could also develop into a top top quality centre back!

ah well probably all a fantasy anyways and we’ll be stuck with ade!!

    nite for real this time

  50. Stu

Alex IS a top quality centre back now. He is what we need now. The finished article…..

    Night A and Pedro…..

  51. Bernard Baines

watched a good 2 hours of arsenal tv earlier and there was some interesting stuff. Hangeland was mentioned as was the a possible return of Flammers.

What are your views on Hangeland ? How about Lescott?

Also seems unlikely Wenger will buy any forwards unless Adebayor fucks off. . .I’d still really like to see Villa come but don’t see it happening. Thoughts?

Wouldn’t it be great to spoil the northern party tomorrow! If arshavin starts and with no pressure on us, maybe a bit of revenge is on the cards. I’m gonna milk the shit out of it if we do win.

    Come on boys

  52. incesc

    bb

didn wenger actually mention flamini or hangeland?

man i would love flamini back, someone who would die for a football game, and give every last ounce he has.

  53. Bernard Baines

Also, I think Ribery is the last sort of player we need to be looking at. It’s already gonna be interesting enough to see how he accomodates arshavin, nasri and Rosicky (back in training today).

I think if tomorrow should go horribly wrong someone should take one for the team and slap the shit out of ronaldo.

  54. Bernard Baines

i think hangeland has been in the pipeline before. . .didn’t know of wenger mentioning flamini but i wouldn’t be surprised if it’s on his mind. I loved flam and maintain to this day that we should have met his wage demands and made him captain. If anyone deserved a raise it was him. . .plus, I think it is unfair for arsenal fans to resent him for leaving. . .

Imagine being one of the standout players at arsenal, while around you players who have been less impressive are making more dollar. . .then u get the opportunity of more money and life in milan. Let’s not forget, all a footballer needs is one unfortunate injury and his career could end. Take the money while the chance is there.

Having said all this, I’d have mixed feelings bout him coming back. After an unproductive season at milan, he might come back half the player he was. It would feel a bit like a backwards step

  55. Stu

Bernard, who mentioned Hangeland and Flamini and in what context.
Also, i completely agree about Flamini. He was my favourite player last season for obvious reasons and i would have loved him to be made captain. He had real drive. He had a prr start at milan but has apparently been playing a lot recently.

  56. Faceman

well up for the manure game tomorrow, lets do em 2-1, preventing us having to give em a guard of fucking honour and also it will mean the butch cassidy and the sun tan kid go DOWN DOWN DOWN.

  57. Stu

We wont have to give the a guard of honour regardless. They happen at the start of matches. But i know what you mean.

  58. abdulhakim09

‘We must buy in the summer. Not more potential, but players who are ready to do it now, players like me. We need two or three. If Arsenal want to win, they have to do it. We are tired of waiting.

from someone who plays for arsenal only for four months

  59. Stu

Arshavin is a facking legend in more ways than one. Amazing footballer and as the article shows, honesty is the best policy.

  60. Stu

Its odd how Wenger doesnt want to kill Denilsong so he plays they. Yet Senderos, arguably a far better player in his position, is likely to be sold by Wenger to not kill him. I’d rather sell Diaby or Denilsong than Senderos. At least we know Senderos has it.

  61. Stu

So Ferdinand is out for tomorrow. It gives us a better chance. Evans aint that great and Vidic always suffers without Ferdy next to him. God I hope Ade doesnt play! And if he does he better fucking give his all!

  62. Faceman

Senderos has been hopelessly exposed on a number of occasions, he is suited to a international slower game or a league like germany/italy.

too much pace over here, always kills him.

  63. Stu

I agree to an extent. But us playing such a highline would see any defender exposed. Even Toure and Gallas have been exposed by balls over the top this season.

  64. Faceman

The way wenger team play we always have to play with a high line in order to press the oppostion and reclaim possesion.

Therefore he will never make it, unless he has speedy gonzalez alongside him.

  65. ethangunner

well then dont you think we need a few more players with better ball retention to stop the opposition from having more than their share of the ball then???..

thats the only reason our defense has been exposed more than usual this season ..

that and lack of taking advantages of the finishing down our attacking end .

its hard to put pressure on the other team
when you just cant score to save you life ?!

  66. Stu

In Van Persie, Bendtner and Adebayor we have 3 of the least clinical strikers around. If Eduardo was fit…whcih Wenger knew he wouldnt be, then i’d like to think things would be different. Now a certain Huntelaar would ensure we score a higer percentage of shots. Of that i am sure.

  67. ethangunner

our defenders pro-rata are more experienced than
any other section of our line up ..

our strikers are in the toilet
and our midfield with injuries to cesc and wengers relentless infatuation to play diaby – song-denilson – eboue in the midfield all season has put a lot more pressure on our defensive line .

  68. Faceman

    I agree, ethan

Badey is our single biggest problem. The big lump gets caught offside a dozen times a game…. from our attack to giving them back possesion!!!

If he stay onside, the ball will bounce off him into the path of their midfield… they attack.

If he finds himself anywhere near the goal, he will fuck it up.

The guy, and i was saying the same bloody thing this time last year when we were top of the league, is fucking awful beyond belief.

He has conned an entire generation of football fans.

  69. ethangunner

    Stu

dudu never really got going prior to his injury ,
he backed up ade better than anyone else , but AA can do that job , in fact AA wants the 2nd strikers role which i said he would ..

i think he got 8 goals prior to blackburn and that was in January .. hardly prolific ..

sure i think he has potential to be great , but i think we have enough potential .

i certainly wouldn’t want to go another season understaffed again

id rather get a david villa in or someone with a real REP ….

  70. Faceman

Bendtner will improve over the summer, of that i am convinced.

The guy wants it, big time, and i think we will see a heeluva player from next season.

He will be 21/22 from next year and will start to come into his own, i see him as the ideal partner for eddy.

  71. Stu

It did take Eduardo a while to get going but he had to settle in. And Wenger did the usual bollocks of playing him left midfield a lot. Its obvious when you see him that he is lethal when given a sniff tho. He scores most of his few chances. Him next to a worker with the midfield hopefully providing opportunities and he could be a great scorer.

  72. ethangunner

faceman , he didnt con everyone ..

but the problem was most people look at ade’s stats only .. they only see what they want to see
when things are going good , not the fact that the guy has no technical prowess , which is needed long term to play at the Arsenal ..

ade was aided hugely last year by arguably the best midfield combo Arsenal has ever seen ..

cesc-hleb-flamini and theo also in the end provided the guy chance after chance ..

i never agreed with them having to do all that hard work to make ade look good .

a striker needs to make his own luck ..
    the good ones do !

  73. Stu

Me too Faceman. Bendtner and Eduardo have/had a great understanding last season before the injury. Hopefully they can pick up where they left off. But its doubtful that both of them will be first choice all next season.

  74. Faceman

If tomans and eddy come back next season fully fit, alongside arshavin, nasri, cesc, theo and co

    fuck me!!!

who says we have a poor squad?

we dont need ANY offensive players in the summer, even if badey does fuck off… we need 6ft 5 monsters at the back.

  75. ethangunner

Stu you could very well be right ..
dudu was a good purchase from wenger ,
i just dont know if you can come back from that injury the same sort of player as before ..

he has had to deal with A LOT of time off the pitch .. can you really recover from that ?

  76. Stu

Exactly Ethan. Its not fair that he got such a hefty pay rise after the midfield did everything. He rarey scored a goal that hadnt been put on a plater for him.
Everything was someone elses work. And when Hleb and Rosicky got injured towards the end of the season Ade went back to his shit old self. Much like the one we are seeing now, only this one is much worse.

  77. Faceman

the stat that never lies is the one that states badey scored 25% of his league goals last year against the mighty…………………

    DERBY COUNTY

  78. Stu

We can only hope so Ethan. He will have had so long to think about what happened to him. That would effect anyone but im hoping that he is strong enough to overcome it and become the player we all know he can be.

He has even shown in between niggles since returning that he still has a goalscoring touch. Its still there he just needs to get back on track.

  79. ethangunner

if ade leaves and we dont replace him with a top class player , we will NOT win the league , and i seriously doubt silverware would be on the cards either , other than the worthless cup or the FA pompey cup …

it would take nik to step up , and RVP not to be injured 1/2 the season , or dudu to come back and do as stu says ..

thats all a calculated risk ..

  80. Stu

In fairness tho, what mug wouldnt score 30 goals when having one of the most creative midfields ever seen. He must have had about 200 chances.

  81. Stu

But WHEN Ade goes what top class forward would Wenger go in for? Not Villa because he’s too expensive. Torres is stuck at Anfield. Eto’o isnt a possibility because of age. There isnt anyone world class available at a price or age good enough to truly tempt Wenger.

My choice would be Huntelaar but we already have too many forwards. Unless we sell Ade AND Van Persie i cant see anyone coming in….unfortunately.

  82. ethangunner

id rather go into the season with a big name striker , he will probably still need time to bed in , as will dudu . but to go into next season on another gamble is just folly , especially if you free up ade’s wage …
just give it to villa or benzema ..

    stu
Ade went back to his shit old self. Much like the one we are seeing now, only this one is much worse.
    ———————————–
i think its about the same ..
heres why , he scored 19 prior to Christmas , and ended the year on 24 .. that was like 20 odd games for 5 goals in the EPL ..

pretty much on par with now ..
you said it right the 1st time stu , he never recovered after the midfield formation split up.

i always think we could have won the league that season with an AA or a villa ..

now ade is paid more than both of them probably
and his output is dreadful ..

wenger has rocks in his head if he doesnt pull the pin on ade .. its a wage budget disgrace .

I agree. Its better to take a risk on proven and probably somewhat expensive quality than go into a season with unproven and cheap potential.

I too think that if we have someone less dependent on those around them that we would have won the league. Ade needs others to make his goals. AA can do anything himself and Villa scores goals all on his own a lot of the time.

Also, do you know if anyone said anything to Wenger about the wage bill? He has earned 20m since our last trophy and we have a massive wage bill. It would be fine if we had world class start on high wages but we have a mostly average bunch earning way too much.

theres plenty to chose from , and ade’s sale proceeds depending on the money could see a straight swap more or less.

stu if ade was sold what do you think we would get , i MEAN REALLY GET ?

    18 ? 20 ?

    max.

If Wenger really doesnt want him anymore then we will only get about 17m. Whenever Wenger doesnt want someone anymore they go pretty cheap.

But If Wenger still wants him, even a bit, and some retarded club actually badly wants him then we could get up to 25m.

Im hoping there are some retards in charge of the transfers out there.
