Today the Daily Telegraph, that’s the only paper that actually tells the truth, says that the Mancs are £700 million in debt, pay annual interest of £68.8 million on a pre tax profit of £66 million giving the parent company a £44 million loss. The loan is structured at 14.2% as well and with the banks increasingly looking to pull out of debt laden companies, they really are deep in the shit. Oh, ha, ha, ha. Good move letting the Glazers in!
If you compare that with us we have a debt of around £250 million, and that is covered with the sale of the old stadium, now whilst that is taken in it’s simplest form, it’s about right, so when you look at Liverpool, and Chelsea, they are all in the same boat as United, not as huge, but still in the shitter, so apart from ManCity, we are looking like the only team that will be able to buy players in the summer, we won’t of course, but at least we can!

Anyway, the way the league is shaping up we need to win, but we then have to face Villarreal and the Chavs in the space of the next 7 days, so I hope we don’t go in jumping out of tackles, I could understand it, but hell, we knew this would happen and we know that with success comes a shit load of tough games, so maybe in the summer we should plan for this, go back over the last 5 seasons, look at the injuries, and then work out how many world class players you need, that’s not rocket science, it’s common sense. We can’t blame bad luck every year, there seems to be a pattern emerging here.
It’s funny though how only the great players seem to get injured!

A, its because he ALWAYS cuts inside to pass and just keeps going inwards.
Choy, Bendtner is definately smarter in the air, better jump timing etc. Ade just has a huge leap and is rarely in the right place. ie the box.

regards to earlier comments abt senna & essien.i think both are gr8.they’r different essien is like flamini while senna is like makelele.essien has a gr8 engine & is a box to box to player while like makelele,senna is a holding player & has gr8 positional play & doesnt hav to do as much running around.and i think arsenal need an essien like DM to charge around like a beast.

A, i’d go for the same back 5. SOng and Cesc in the middle woth AA, Theo/Nasri on the wings and Vela or Ade partnering Nik.

stu – my thinking is that cesc was absolutely exhausted in the villareal match more or less from the first minute, he won’t be fit enough to play in a 4-4-2, so has to have two dms behind him so he doesn’t have any defensive responsibilities, wigan are no push overs.
As cesc can’t play centre mid in a 4-4-2, but has to play to get him up to full match fitness asap, it means we’ve gotta play 4-2-3-1.
I’m also certain that bendtner will start, and if vp is fully fit he’ll start too to get him up to fitness asap. Bendtner is much better when he can pick the ball up deeper and interlink with the likes of arshavin and create for the forward, so I quite like him out wide where he can drift in, though he’s better through the centre
Well in that case if Bendtner is to be on the wing then it should be the right. He doesnt have quick enough feet to play on the left whereas on the right he can at least cross or pass easier and quicker without much, if any, diffculty.
If Cesc plays in front of 2 DMs then preferably it would be forwards out wide and not Nasri or Theo becuase they are more midfielders and not suited to the wing imo.
IMO it should be a formation that allows Cesc to roam anywhere he chooses and not have to be the support striker. He played there against Villareal and was pretty poor but his assist came from a pass about 40 yards out.

i agree with most of that, though i disagree about theo, imo he’s a forward having to play in midfield, the attacking 3 formation is perfectly suited to him, just as it is vela, which is why i’m sure that wenger intends to play that formation so theo can be out right and vela left.
I think there’s a chance ramsey could come in for denilson if he needs a rest, though probably not.
bendtner has done alot of good work out left recently, he was quality against newcastle drifting out right as henry used to, for the flowing football etc it’s easier to make forward passes and interlink when you come in on your stronger foot, which is why playmakers generally play on the left if they’re right footed, and on the right if they’re left footed

I think today we could finally see us give a team a drubbing! I know Wigan are a strong physical team but if Wenger puts the same amount of trust in his team today as he did with the CC kids that gave them a whipping we could do very well. The injuries although terrible news will give the club yet more of this eige mentality…..that everyone is out to get them…..and that they have to put in the most amount of effort they can for the next few weeks.
