Use the time well Arsene, we can still have our best ever season

by & filed under Uncategorized.

As ridiculous as this may seem, we could still win the FA cup, the Champions league and the Premiership, we can take 3 points off of the people above us, so the Mancs could be 7, the Scousers 6 and the chavs 3 points ahead and with the points system we have, it’s possible to catch them.

In theory we could meet Porto in the semis and Bayern in the final, winnable, we could play Everton in the FA cup and that’s winnable too, so if the others can take points of of each other then we could come out of this season with everything bar the worthless cup, so if we can just keep on winning, we can go all the way, look at us last season, a win at Birmingham would have seen us go 8 clear of the Mancs, so as far as I’m concerned it’s all ours to lose.

There are players you all know I’m far from convinced with, but Diaby and Denilson have gone up in my estimation, and with Rosicky, Eduardo, Cesc, Theo and Ade all still to come back we are looking solid and more than capable of beating anyone and that includes ManU, Liverpool, Barcelona or Bayern Munich.

So if we get all our players back and in form, the players I’m not convinced about won’t feature anyway, what a turn around that will be eh? I have to say I’m putting a lot of this on the signing of Arshavin, he has given the fans and the players alike a massive lift, had we signed him at the start of the season we could have been out of sight by now.

I hope Gazidas and Arsene have learned from that and push on in the summer and bring in the strength we need in certain areas, they haven’t changed, we still need a defensive midfield giant, a world class centre back and possibly a keeper, though I do think Fabianski will step up.

None of the above is a moan, it’s an observation, we looked great in the second half at Newcastle and both Robin and Nikki ought to keep Ade out, but Ade as an impact sub could be the key to beating the Mancs and scousers away.

A quiet couple of weeks, but I’ll think of something to say and keep your fortnight occupied and hopefully enjoyable, you Grovers can do the rest, you always do.

Have a great day, if we can avoid injuries against our biggest injury giver (Wengers training) we should be continuing our fabulous run well into April.

if memory serves me right, Rocky’s passing was announced at a home game at Highbury, but for the life of me i can’t remember who it was against, it seems to have paled into insignificance…..

Even more recently, the loss against Liverpool in the CL last year.

It was a total mood swing. From madness after Theo’s run….to depression after that penalty.

Not much Geoff, relaxing after a pain in the arse day at work, wanting a beer but not being able to due to training.

Shitty fucking time for an international break, just as we’re starting to click, get some form and momentum and along comes bloody internationals.

Geoff – How about we get some polls going again?? I like it when we get the chance to see what the general opinion on something is. Maybe which competition will we have most success in this season or looking ahead to player of the season?? Now thats a hard one!

    Morning Geoff and all.
In recent times the lose to Man United in the Cup semi final takes some beating.1999 i think.Keane got sent off,Bergkamp missed the penalty with minutes remaining, and then Giggs scored that extra time goal, which has been shown a million times since,as if the media want to keep turning the screw.it still pains me to watch it to this day.

That year we lost the league by a point, because that cunt O’Leary did a job on us at Elland road and Begkamp missed the penalty in injury time just after Keane had got sent off, given they won the ECL in the last three seconds their treble could have been nothing and we could have won the double.
