I say Gibbs because althought Clicy has been great previously, his weaknesses in attack and defence have come to the fore this season all too often. Gibbs will probably take longer than next season to overtake him but i can dream.

kranjcar would’ve bolstered the squad as a good back up last summer before we got arshavin, now we’ve got rosicky, arshavin, nasri, theo, bendtner, vela, who can all play out wide or in behind the forward kranjcar wouldn’t get a look in at arsenal, even as a reserve!

We wanted him as an extra playmaker, a squad player, and only before we got arshavin. Now we got arshavin, and already got nasri, with rosicky coming back, i’d be shocked if we went for someone who would be 4th choice as a playmaker, especially with wilshere to come through in a year or two

Bendtner and Nasri are both better than Krancjar. Hes too slow and 1 footed and wouldnt be anywhere near the starting 11 with a fully fit midfield.
As for Lucio, i dont like or rate him. I dont trust most Brazilians in defence..but there are exceptions.

i definitely prefer bendtner to kranjcar, who has games where he’s very good for pompey, but he also has games where he goes completely missing. He’s a good premiership player, nothing special at all, and a class below what we’ve already got at the club imo

Personally i like A’s team, except the 2 new signings, i don’t see why everyone is keen to see the nback of Gallas, he’s been our most consistent defender since his novemeber outburst, and i don’t think YaYa is the answer next to Cesc, although it might make Kolo up his game a bit. I’d be tempted to have RVP on the right and Arshavin behind Eduardo aswell, but that depends on whether we’re player a Blackburn/Bolton type team or a team that plays more football.

I agree with you regarding Willie G mate and I have been on about dumping Toure for a couple of seasons now. Kolo is a decent lovely human being but he is an average CB. I also think Clichy and RVP have had enough chances with little to no improvement, likewise Theo very little improvement from him. Theo is lightening quick with a slow brain. I hope we can get by with Theo for a while as he could turn out to be a very great player. Our main problem imo is the goalkeeper, I have no faith in him at all.
