Kolo tells the world he doesn’t like Gallas, join the queue son.

by & filed under Uncategorized.

So Kolo has told the world he doesn’t like Billy boy, so he needs to join the queue as it seems nobody like Gallas in the Arsenal team, makes you wonder why he was ever made captain then doesn’t it? Also if he is indeed that unpopular why is he still in the team? Surely that has to be bad for moral and could explain why Kolo’s form dipped so drastically.

Theo says beating Roma was like winning the world cup, good, let’s hope we kick on from that and win something this year, it’s long overdue boys.

Tomorrow we host fat Sam’s mob and we owe them a good hiding, well actually we owe him a good hiding, that nasty fat slob has never done or said anything nice about our beloved team so he has it coming, we need to win to keep our run going and with the spuds about to stop Villa in their tracks we can go fourth in the league, if ManU beat the scousers we can start tracking second place, but let’s deal with Blackburn first.

From the day I had a row with that fat obnoxious drunk Jack Walker, I never liked that shitty team from somewhere up north, then that dirty Welsh bastard took over and Cesc gave him what for, so we don’t have a great relationship with them but when that fat bastard back hander taking bitch went there, what relationship we did have, disappeared for ever.

So we need to come out of the blocks fast tomorrow, fresh in the knowledge that we just won the world cup, Theo back on board with Arshavin should ensure we don’t see Eboue again so we can carve them up with skill and pace and get back to playing football again.

Eduardo done his groin in missing that penalty but other than that we are injury free, so a great day is on the cards, remember we started last weekend saying we could be in the semis of the FA cup, the quarters of the Champions league and fourth in the EPL.

So far so good, keep the faith Grovers, Saturday sees part three with one to go.

P.S. We have more singles than match.com… single tickets for the Blackburn game that is… so if you fancy popping over to the game, drop me an e-mail and I’ll put you in touch with someone who can help you out!

I wouldnt disagree with those 3 you mentioned one day but certainly not yet. There are clear sparks of class in some of what they do tho, there is no denying that.

The chavs and Mancs buy top players every summer. Not always for massive fees but reasonable ones considering the players abilities.

United won the double, 2nd prem in a row but go out and buy Berbatov, Tevex is likely to jon permanently in the summer and they bought Tosic and some other eastern european for the future without any pressure on them in the mean time.

The chavs, althought their soending has somewhat subsided as of late, still bought Bosingwa in the summer. Not the best player but definately not a bad one by any means. They bought Anelka who has done wonders this season and they already had an abundance of 1st class players at the club.

While since last winning a title we have brought into the team, Denilson, Almunia, Song, Adebayor, Diaby not to mention E-fucking-boue. Most of those are utterly shit and always will be. Ade and Almunia aside from the first half of last season have been poor too. Its a disgrace!

While im thinking about it there are also a nimber of layers that i would not like at the club tat we are annoyingly being linked with- regardless of the strength of the runours.

    They are:
Kalou, Distin, Cabaye, Bassong, Sessagnon….and im sure there are many more that i cant think of.

  3. George

    unfortunately for us whether we like or not as they say “you can’t buy class”….well infact you can like Chelsea,Manchester United and Livepool(only with Torres and Macheramo lately have)ut it is an expensive project that our resources don’t stretch to yet.I mean seriously Etan and Stu you bemoan are lack of “class” but chose to ignore the fact that we have in my opinion;
Eduardo £10 million ish who is class
RVP £4 million who is at times frustrating but truelly has a class left foot.
Fabrigas who cost us £500,00 and is class full stop
Gallas with the right partner is in my eyes class and has proved so since losing the captaincy and the fact that Mourinho so desparately wanted to keep him backs up his value.
Clichy cost us a whopping £500,000 nd although prone to mistakes recently I wouldn’t swap him for any other left back.
Sagna £7 million who has been so reliable it’s untrue.Right back is the most unfashonable position in the team as you don’t get to so many right backs that are noticed for their attackng prowess but witness G.Neville that everybody hates but is solid and reliable but hardly ever gets the plaudits.
Arsharvin £14 million clearly posseses class and hope to see plenty of it soon…….
Bentley £17 million ou are having a laugh.
We all long for he days of “Pires to Cole to Lungdberg to Henry, goal”but I console myself with the fact that I used to sit near people who moaned at the finest bunch of players I have seen live so wtf they must say about Song,Eboue and Bendtner fuck knows.
Blackburn’s best striker is out tomorrow,so come on you Gunners, let’s pile the pressure on Villa.

  4. George

    Stu who was the last player that Manchester United bought that “wasn’t a high fee”that has proved to be really good value;
    Carrick £20 million
    Hargreaves £25 million
    Barbatov £28 million
    Rooney £28 million
yes you have people like Vidic who cost £10 million who was an exception as in he appears a bargain but Manchester United usually pay up to such an extent that they make Real look lke misers.

  5. Stu

    George, dont be like that.

I mentioned Cesc, AA23 and Eduardo above.

I wouldnt consider Clichy top class because he has no end product and is proving to be susect in defence, especially this season. I would cinsider swaping im for another left back because of this but who is another question.

RvP, although undoubtedly a top player on his day doesnt do it enough. A flash of brilliance here and there isnt enough to be considered truly top class.

And Sagna i cant disagree with but i didnt mention him because he is so infuriating going forward. He is very solid defensively but at Arsenal that isnt enough imo when the full backs are vital to our style of play.

  6. Stu

George, i realise that they pay high fees but they have most of that money because they win trophies. Success = money. The more success you have the bigger the fans base potentially becomes, more fans = more money.
Success breeds success, money makes money.

We cant afford expensive players because we dont have the money.

    Thats the jist of it.

  7. George

I long for the day when the Arsenal bard give Arsene carte blanche to purchase 50 million £’s worth of talent in the summer but until that point I don’t think you can compare Arsene’s job with Rafa’s,Whiskey noses’ or Hiddink’s although the day is drawing nearer where the board cannot relistically keep thinking 4th place is ood enough as the fans are demanding more, quite correctly. Why build a 60,000 stadium to aim fo 4th place?I believe or time is closer than ost people think as I geniunely believe we are one central midfelder away from being a really good team.

  8. George

Stu agree wholehartedly with your arguement re Manchester United as they havebuilt an empire on success…but try this Chelsea V Rosenburg 26,000 the year after they won back to back Premiership titles so success doesn’t alwas get you a following….they truelly are a small team with money.

  9. George

Good luck tomorrow,an early Nasri goal to settle the nerves followed by a brace from Arshavin whilst old Walrus face is sent to the stands would do me.

  10. Stu

Your right anout Chelsea. But most of their fans arent young. Not many fans under 20 or there about.

Its because they didnt play attractive football and basically won those 2 titles out of the blue. It gave them no time to recruit no fans. Tey were more like a machine. More practical and unattractive. Effecient but ugly.

Plus, im assuming that their prices were pretty high. Who wants to pay a high price to watch long ball football.

  11. Stu

I do Maciek, but he hasnt proven that he is world class because he hasnt done it over a sustained period of time.

He has the talent but cant seem to perform consistently over a season or two.

  12. Evo in Oz

yeah cant wait for the Arse to score his first goal, that should be quite enjoyable for the team! i reckon it will be tonight!

  13. George

The problem with RVP if you watch him closely is that a fast paced break will often stop in its tracks hen the ball gets to his feet as he doesn’t so much like two touches but four but his skill when receiving the ball in difficult positions is undeniable,as per his goal against Liverpool this season,I personally rate him very highly and I know that several other Premiership managers do,as in,if Arsene became tired of him for some reason we would receive a bid of over £15 millon from another Premiership club whereas Adebeyor would only command that fee from Spain or Italy but not from England at the moment as every Premieship manager knows what a lazy bastard he has become.
Stu not sure about your point re Chelsea and their success without the consitent crowd to back it up as they were starved of a Premieship/Division 1 title for 56 years ish and Iam sure that their fans would have taken any form of achievement no matter how it was achieved.I geniunely believe that despite the oiks you see running about in Chelsea shirts they would struggle to fill a bigger ground as they simply don’t have the support and imagine what Stamford Bridge would look like if Eboue and Song occupied key positions in the midfield….Ghost Town by The Specials would spring to mind.

    evo

Yes mate bentley is about as relevant these days as the club he plays for.

I hope arswaxin gets off the mark early in the game coz the longer its goes on without a goal, the longer the moaning will go on :)

….oh & did ya see the Tigers won their last practice match of the season like the Cats did, last night up on the Gold Coast. I can’t wait for Round 1

  15. gnarleygeorge9

…..& ofcourse being a glass half full man ;) , well so long as wenger picks the right starting IX or I’ll get pissed awf.

  16. George

Cream alway rises to the top,and just like Dennis,Andre may have to wait a few games to score his first goal but my apprehension isn’t deep as he is class and will remain so.

  17. gnarleygeorge9

A win over Blackboofheads tonight & The Arsenal is in 4th spot. That will put added pressure villa, I reckon spuds might do’em.

    George

Something tells me AA23 is going to get off the mark tonight ;)

  18. A

nah gnarley, arshavin is saving his first goal for a massive game, he’ll lay on a couple tomorrow, but save the first one he scores for a more significant date!

  19. George

    gnarleygeorge9;I have found it impossible so far in my Arsenal supporting days to;
1)cheer on Tottenham(even when foolishly believing they could get a result against Manchester United to help us win the Premiership)
2)depend on Tottenham to do us a favour in our quest for any form of success.
So on that basis I would bet on a 3-0 win for Villa, especially as Tottenham are a further away fom the relegation dogfight than they have been for some time.Believe you me they would rather scrape through on the last day of the season than do us a favour and if they they think that they can avoid relegation whilst at the same time losing to Villa they will.
Arshavin is class and is a great buy.
Roll on the return of Rosicky and Fabrigas and we will be a force to be reckoned with.

  20. Ja_Gunner

Someone said that RVP stops our fast breaks.

He is not the only culprit……Nasri is another.

Whenever a fast break is on and he has the ball, he puts his head down and dribbles..then opposing team playes run past him with ease and get back into position, by the time he puts his head back up to look for a pass nobody is open…..the opportunity has passed.

He should probably be the one of the player that stays high up the pitch when opponents take corners.

  21. Evo in Oz

you never know with the spuds, keane scored the other day for them and they pumped boro 4-0, so wait and see on that one, but villa should win if they have any mettle about them>?

  22. George

Ja_Gunner;I agree with you and Nasri doesn’t always help to speed up the mommentum and I miss the days when MOTD used to run a stopwatch showing from Cole to Pires to Henry…goal but those days are gone hence Arsene’s approach to employ technically gifted smaller players that work an opening rather than simply tearing through the opposition with 4 immaculate passes from one end to the other and I know which team I would rather watch…roll back 2004 please, but it aint gonna happen.
As for corners I think since day 1 Arsene hasn’t really practiced attacking corners which is a massive mistake as we had countless on Wens night but never theatened because something tells me somewhat sadly Arsene doesn’t see it as a proper way of scoring! He has flaws like every person and his ideals cost us dear at times.Attack the fucking corner for fucks sake.

  24. A

yeah ja, i think both of them don’t just stop our fast breaks, but slow down our attacks in general.

I do think though that it’s vp’s style of play that results in his game doing it, and that won’t change, though he’s still a terrific player when on form, just just reckon he shouldn’t participate as much deep in the build up play.

with nasri i think it’s just a case of adapting to the premiership completely, he always takes a bit too much time on the ball, and wants too many touches so he misses opportunities to give the ball. Arshavin likewise, though obviously nasri has had less time to adapt.

However I think with both of them, by the start of next season it will be something that will have improved massively, and we won’t even be talking about it anymore.

With corners and set pieces the reason we don’t have fast breaks is because at the start of the season we were conceding ridiculous numbers of goals from them, and we designed a new way to deal with them – have literally every man back defending them, and it has resulted in a massive improvement defensively, but completely prevents any quick breaks.

  25. A

george we did threaten in midweek from a few – sagna got on the end of one at the front post and it went straight into the keeper’s arms, either side and it was a goal, didn’t kolo have one too, other than the header from the vp knock back?

I don’t think it’s practice that means we don’t threaten as much as some though – it’s delivery. When vp was really whipping them in with pace we seemed to nearly score from every one. Now whether it’s because he’s playing with a knock, or fatigued, he’s been floating them in high, and with nasri, or arshavin floating them from the other side, they aren’t anywhere near as dangerous.

  26. George

Evo in Oz;by beating ‘boro 4-0 they helped only themselves however if they beat or draw against Villa they will help us as well so that’s why I will back Villa all day long.

  27. gnarleygeorge9

    George

I agree with your 2nd point, you can’t rely on spuds for anything, but, they are still only 4 points fron the drop, & if they don’t get something from villa they will go down.

Are u reading this, who ever is spuds manager this month

  28. George

A,agreed we have the ability to threaten and I can tell sometimes from the body langauge of RVP how he going to take the corner and as you say the faster paced ball is 100% more threatening but equally do you not agree that sometimes we go through a succession of corners and you know what the enfd result will be before they are taken? My point being that Liverpool,Manchester United and Chelsea and many other lesser teams seem to pose more of a threat consistently than us ie Vidic attacks the ball like it means the world whereas Kolo or Gallas attack it one in 3 times.

  29. George

gnarley;unfortunately for us Tottenham won’t go down if they lose at Villa as they have opened up a 3/4 point gap between themselves and the 3rd from bottom team.

  30. George

Sorry to labour the point Gnarley but I strongly believe that the hatred towards us from Tottenham is so huge that some of their players wouldn’t go 100% against Villa as they have a 4 point cushion and know that any result they get would help us.
They haven’t got over the lasagne incident fully yet

  31. George

agreed gnarley how can a club that like clockwork every July threaten “to break into the top 4″embaress themselves so predictably. The media let them off the hook regularly but it doesn’t go unnoticed amongst the Arsenal faithful that they spend like Emalda Marcus at a shoe sale but perform like a bunch of expensive misfits every time.Long may it continue as God forbid the day they do finish above us you will never hear the end of it.

  32. gnarleygeorge9

    Well George

“Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be)” we’re going to Wembley Que Sera, Sera

And spuds are going to hell
