England expects tonight Arsenal!

by & filed under Uncategorized.

Our greatest ever hero Lord Nelson said just that before the battle of Trafalgar. When he learned shortly before he died that we had won the day and had taken 17 prizes he said ‘I thought we would get more’ shortly after he died he got his wish, we did in fact get more, that put paid to Napoleon’s invasion plans and the rest as they say is history.

Now whilst I’m not expecting more than 17 goals, I am expecting a win, so Arsenal, remember the flags that went up before the battle ‘England expects that every man will do his duty’ do that and I’ll be happy.

The chavs and the scousers did the job yesterday and with the scousers stuffing Madrid yesterday it clearly shows where the powerbase in Europe is these days, the times where we would expect to go out to foreign opposition are long gone, all we want now is to avoid another English team, why is that you may well ask, is it because the English are so good? No, it’s because all the foreigners are in England, and those that aren’t on benefits or seeking asylum are indeed professional footballers, and thank god for that, as Nelson (an Arsenal fan) would have undoubtably said, were he alive today.

Arsene said this yesterday ‘You judge a season at the end of the season and it is down to us in the coming months to show that we have the necessary quality and that people were too quick to write us off’

All good stuff and yes we have much to fight for, but we can’t win the league, so no one judged you too early, yes we have had injuries, but had you signed a few quality players in August we would be in the box seat right now, so stop whining and win what’s left, we will all love you even more should you achieve that.

We need to score, the chavs showed how difficult it is if you get an goal away, so I think we should soak up in the first 15, then go for them, split their team in two like Nelson did and rip out their lungs.

Tonight takes us a step closer to immortality and to be called a big club at last, by winning the European Cup, England expects, the manager expects but most of all the we the fans expect.

Arsenal to win 3-1 tonight for me, I don’t care who we get in the next round, just as long as we get into the next round.

Cesc and anyone else that maybe thinking of moving on, don’t forget two things, the first is that Robin said the grass isn’t always greener in your neighbours garden and the second is to look at all the teams that you may want to join, they’re all out, well with the exception of Barcelona and that’s only because their team is made up of Arsenal rejects!

Fabianski

Sagna Kolo Gallas Gibbs

Walcott Diaby Nasri Vela

Eduardo Robin

That’s my preferred team but this is the one I expect.

Almunia

Sagna Kolo Gallas Clichy

Eboue Song Diaby Nasri

Bendtner Robin

Have a great day today Grovers, tonight could be our best ever in Europe, 3-1 sounds great, 17 nil sounds better.

You can just tell we didnt come to play…because Diaby isnt tired.

Usually he would be dead by now.

But they came in expcecting to stroll to victory.

  2. Lewyd24

STOP BEING SO NEGATIVE. WE ARE IN THIS GAME . THERE IS MORE CHANCE OF US WINNING THIS GAME THAN LOSING. CMON GUYS BACK THE ARSENAL TO WIN. CMON!

  3. Ja_Gunner

You know Seb I agree with you.

He takes waaaaaaaaaaaaaaayy tooooooolong to set up for SHOT.
He has been like Ade today slowing up everything.

  4. Pat

Nasri and Van Persie make another mess of good possession. They are crying out for Adebayor I think. He’s the most direct player they’ve got.

  5. Seb

We should have put Arshavin in a Bischoff shirt and played him, noone knows what Bischoff looks like anyway, at least then we could have had some decent set pieces.

Walcott has touched the ball about three times in total, Eduardo isn’t getting a sniff, Nasri is playing well but keeps cutting back and inside. Get Vela on for van Persie!

  6. Pat

Nasri has been horrible. Put Vela on Wenger, and if it goes to penalties, I hope he doesn’t try chipping Doni. Eventually keepers will catch on to him.

  7. Ja_Gunner

Nasri has been playing crap…..complete crap.

Get Nasri offffffffffffff.. He is just ditrhering with the ball, and he looks even slower than usual.

He was rested for this game and looks as if he is just as tired as some of the Roma players.

  8. Stu

lol Wengers way of motivating the players id to shake his fist and utter the words “come on!”. Moving stuff by Le Boss,

  9. Hollywood Hotsauce

right now i dont even care if we get knocked out. we’ve been awful! how embarrassing would that be if we end up been the only english club that gets knocked out

  10. chris

i know we hear this from every ‘expert’..but its obvious to see that a lack of experience tonight has been the downfall

  11. Pat

I don’t want Theo taking a pen. I just don’t trust english players taking penalties. The 2 that missed for Spuds…both english…

  12. Ja_Gunner

I guess if we go out….we really deserve to.

I mean what a crappy performance…it has been a team of Diaby and Sagna alone.

  13. Ja_Gunner

    Stu

That shit pass was made by Nasri I believe..it could have been Denilson…..imagine if it were Vela that had the ball there..it would have been a fast break…Nasri cannot execute a fsat break , I have seen him slow down so many of our counter attacks in other games.

  14. GunnerShabz

fucking brilliant. game overall was ruined by shocking defending conceding an early goal which completely killed the game plan. If we’d kept them out longer they would’ve had to come at us, we would’ve got the away goal, and game over. The early goal completely killed that and killed our game.

eduardo is still very very unfit, as is theo, though he did some good stuff looked as knackered as those that had run for 120 minutes.

still, our kids have won a massive massive game now, and that’s very big for the belief.

  21. Keyser

That was awesome, seriously Wenger wanted all the youngsters to get some experience and they did, they really did.

    AWESOME.

  22. Confidentgoner

i have stopped watching. I will know the shootout scores later. Some quick observations.

    a) Our defenders let us down by allowing the cheapest goal

    b) Wenger should have subbed VP. It just was not his day.

c)Roma played good defensively and didn’t give away many chances.

    d) Team inconsistency is not due to youth alone. Our bench are too shortsighted!

    d) Sagna and Theo always seem to confuse each other and now we need that 4th place EPL slot badly!

  23. IX

FACT I: Watching Arsenal shortens your lifespans.
FACT II:Probability of having heart attack is higher when watching Arsenal.

  24. Keyser

Seeing Kolo’s smile is fucking worth it, we live to fight another day.

    Sagna’s composure, Toure, Nasri..

  25. Magnus

After ed’s miss i made up my mind… But the geezers
keep surpising me… Frekkein awesome…Night all!!
