So William Gallas is out tonight with an ankle injury a great shame because he arguably has been one of our better players, but young Johan Djourou is an able deputy and I’m comfortable that he will play well with Kolo and who knows, maybe it will work out and be next years starting line up, good luck Johan.
It emerged that after the Fulham game Arsene Wenger was so angry he let his team know by saying nothing, well that could be brilliant or it could be stupid and I’m not sure which yet. It’s like when you made an arse of yourself at a dinner party and the next day the wife ignores you, out of disgust, now sometimes you feel so bad, the silence is deafening but sometimes you feel you got away with it and keep your head down.
So I’m not sure which is right for the team, but I know I prefer it when my wife doesn’t talk to me!
Still showing no emotion, shows he has emotion, I’m sure he doesn’t like to see his team booed and I’m sure he is doing his best, you couldn’t fault the team selection, it was spot on, the team owe him a performance and I hope tonight is the night.
I would be feeling far worse if I were a Villa fan today, I know, it happened to us against Villa at Villa park in injury time so Bjork had it coming and hopefully they will begin to wobble now, the perfect time for us to go to the Hawthorns and paralyse them, Hawthorns and Baggies, blimey, sounds like wedgies! At least we have a tough name, the ‘Gunners’ and tonight I back the Arsenal to blow the wedgies away.

Tony Mowbray in his spare time.
If we resist the urge to eat their black pudding, tripe and dripping sandwiches at half time we should win this one, I don’t think we’ll be seeing Homer tonight which is a relief and as a courtesy to you fine Grovers I won’t predict a score, if I was going to I would say 2 nil Arsenal, but I promised I wouldn’t, so I won’t.
I know I say this a lot, but tonight we really, really need all 3 points, a draw is no good so we should take a few chances, it’s too soon to see Theo back but I may use him as an impact sub, I also would rest the full backs and put Eboue and Gibbs in there, I think both are better crossers of the ball and I think their pace and aggression will be perfect for a night out like this, we are in the black country (it really is, so no comments please) and it won’t be easy, so hold your nerve boys and stick with the talent Arsene, they weren’t far away against Fulham, let them loose again, I think it will pay dividends.
Arsenal, you owe us a performance, go out there and repay the fans whilst I apologise to the wife without saying I’m sorry. You can do it, you have to do it, we are all behind you.
Have a great day Grovers, it could be a great day and a brilliant evening.

Le Grove is now smart phone compatible!

Let’s get closer to Villa – Wenger
Arsene Wenger has called on his Arsenal players to make the most of Aston Villa’s weekend slip-up when the Gunners tackle West Brom on Tuesday. With the gap on fourth place still six points following Stoke’s remarkable fight back in the closing minutes at Villa Park on Sunday, Wenger is all too aware of the importance of getting a win away to the Baggies, who are scrapping for their top-flight survival.
Arsenal, though, head to The Hawthorns on the back of four Premier League games without finding the net, which is the club’s worst run since Wenger has been at the helm.
“It was a very big surprise for me,” said the Gunners boss. “I think that Villa have lost a big opportunity to put us eight points behind and we want to take advantage of that.
“It is down to our consistency, I have said that many times.
“The problem is that in our environment the present situation is definite, but life is movement and football moves quicker than life.
“There is more pressure on Villa, us and everybody – maybe not only Villa are catchable.
“We have to put performances in to make us come back as quickly as possible.”
A combination of poor choices in front of goal and inspired keeping from Mark Schwarzer prevented Arsenal scoring against Fulham at Emirates Stadium on Saturday, when the team was booed off at the final whistle and some disgruntled fans even directed their frustrations at Wenger following a fourth successive goalless draw.
Wenger, though, believes his squad have it in them to put the finishing touches to their free-flowing football – just as Manchester United have done to pull clear at the top of the table while showing their resilience to beat Tottenham on penalties and lift the Carling Cup at Wembley on Sunday.
“They [United] don’t think about it. The trophies flow in for them at the moment, so it is all natural for them,” Wenger said.
“Even on Sunday they were so convinced they would win it in the end because they have no doubt.
“They put themselves in that position. We were in that position as well, we just need to continue to focus.
“I believe the spirit of the team is great, the focus they have in training is great and they will be rewarded. I have never seen a team not being rewarded for that kind of spirit and quality.”
March 3, 2009 at 09:11
i agree with, dare i say it, rotating the fullbacks, although there is no way wenger would put out a back line of jd kolo, gibbs, and eboue. maybe one of the two given a rest. Who starts in the mid? I bet we will see song from the start, but maybe vela again.
March 3, 2009 at 09:11
Theo ain’t back yet mate.
He only starting 1st team training yesterday.
Give him about another 2 weeks yet!
March 3, 2009 at 09:14
I prefer to get a bollocking from the missus tbh. Get it out of the way so I can fuck off to football with a clear conscience.
March 3, 2009 at 09:14
arshavin will be on the bench tonight, eboue will start on the right
March 3, 2009 at 09:14
Whats the bet Arswaxin will score. That is my prediction.
Geoff I know that silent treatment from the Mrs. Its not good
March 3, 2009 at 09:16
If we got 3 points after most of my early morning posts being followed by NEW POST, we would be top of the league
March 3, 2009 at 09:19
silent treatment is the worst cos you know you’ve still got the bollocking coming but just not sure when
March 3, 2009 at 09:19
he will have to rotate a little today, but i bet the bigger changes will be for the cup on the weekend. We will see gibbs then I think.
March 3, 2009 at 09:20
Tonight could be a great time to let Jackie Boy or Fran the man loose on some sub-standard players.
These 2 kids of ours have shown they hold no fear for the ‘tougher’ teams of the EPL when the demolished Wigan in the CC. So, maybe we shouldnt start them but we should at least have them revving up on the sidelines, ready to inject some urgency and fearless play to our attack. These kids are like Rottweilers on a leash that have had big fat juicy steaks hung in front of them. They must be desperate to play.
OK, Vela needs more games so let him have a consistent crack up top, put Jackie on the left and Samire in the middle. With that you have a line up that can read the passes from Arshavin and have threats all over the field.
I’m not opposed to playing Gibbs and Eboue (even though I still think he’s a petulant little tosser) and it might wake the 2 regulars up.
Johan will prove he is waiting for that slip up from another CB to take a first team slot. He will be a great player I think.
Denilson has, as I’ve always said, proven he is miles better than Song and the only option for a DM. I know they have to break up play in the first instance but you need to be able to do something with the ball afterwards or its all for nothing and you might as well let the team through in the first place!
RvP could click tonight and it will only take one goal for him to get his radar back on track.
I am full of optimism tonight so for me the score is going to be a massive……………
March 3, 2009 at 09:20
denilson for a rest for once?
March 3, 2009 at 09:21
Morning Grovers,
Geoff i tot u sneaked in a prediction in there somehoe with the “2 nil ” thingy…no worries though, cos b4 d fulham game u said u werent goin to the stadium cos u tot u gave dem d draw-luck, so for me feel free to predict a CRICKET SCORE, i always love to hear dt.
March 3, 2009 at 09:21
and i am sure, unforunately, that Nikki boy will get another start.
March 3, 2009 at 09:22
JD will make the spot his own, appart from that change i think we should go out with the exact same team.
March 3, 2009 at 09:23
I hate that Tom, it fucks the whole day up. It normally arrives just as something you want to watch comes on the telly.
March 3, 2009 at 09:23
Joaquin – I think Denilson might be about the only player in our squad who can handle games week in, week out. I like his drive and work rate and I think he uses that to his strength. He knows he’s no Maradona and makes up for it with hard graft. Wenger likes that and will hopefully stick with him. I know what you mean though, if it were me, I’d be needing all sorts of medicines to get me through these games!
March 3, 2009 at 09:24
Steve – they aren’t supid! They know exactly when the best time to piss you off is and can time it better than a Rolex in Switzerland!!
March 3, 2009 at 09:25
morning all..
we have to have to win… but we have to start scoring someday… don’t we!!!
March 3, 2009 at 09:26
taig, yes, he can. But all players need a rest, and he had a poor game saturday after a great performance against roma. Although so did most of the squad. But his distribution was shit and he wasnt winning the tackles he was the match prior. Regardless I bet he will be in the starting 11 tomorrow…today for you folks.
March 3, 2009 at 09:27
i will go for
Manuel
Eboue, toure, JD, Gibbs
Arshavin, Ramsey, Diaby, Vela
Nasri (in d Hole)
v.persie
theo, wilshere and edu as subs
March 3, 2009 at 09:27
Morning All.
Back in the saddle after a good time in UK.
Great to meet the LG’ers at the S&B. Good blokes to a man, even Steve and Peaches.
March 3, 2009 at 09:28
It’s the being lulled into a false sense of security they do best taig. Oh magic, i’ve got away with that, then bang. Straight in when the defences are down. I should send my missus into Afghanistan, she’d take the Taliban in a day.
March 3, 2009 at 09:28
no point to leave Denilson out, Wenger doesnt, so no need for us to replace him with someone else in our teams…
March 3, 2009 at 09:29
Morning All – good post Geoff…
I prefer to get a bollocking from the missus……I received the silent treatment all Sunday for going out early then coming back late due to the celebrations of Bently’s pen miss………I’m still paying for it now!!!
March 3, 2009 at 09:29
steve… yeah mate i know that feeling!!! and u get the same answer ‘nothings wrong, im fine’ whenever you ask whats wrong!
March 3, 2009 at 09:29
HAHAHA cheers Raddy. Great to put a face to a pretend name.
March 3, 2009 at 09:29
here is what I believe he will put out.
Al
sagna jd kolo clichy
nasri denilson song vela
rvp bendtner
i would change it a bit but thats what we will see with the most likely subs to be used being arshavin eboue and diaby.
March 3, 2009 at 09:30
Joaquin – I actually avoided watching any sort of highlights of the Fulham so didnt know he had a bit of a stinker. Perhaps a rest is needed then but the prospect of Song scares me shitless! Lets hope Ramsey gets the nod if he is to be rested!
March 3, 2009 at 09:30
It’s must win. He’ll pick his strongest side.
March 3, 2009 at 09:31
tonyadams… the worst is when your on your way out and have to be late to sort it plus getting the guilt trip to stay in!!
March 3, 2009 at 09:32
queen, you are right because if they were to lose and he rotated the fullbacks, experts would be asking why he didnt field his strongest side.
March 3, 2009 at 09:32
Steve – If we teamed up it sounds like we achieve world domination! better than that, lets just send them into the Arsenal dressing room before the game! Just that look that says ‘you’re in trouble but I’m gonna hit you with it later’ would be enough to get 10 goals out of RvP, Almunia claiming crosses and Song making silky runs through the midfield! I think I went too far with that last one…….damn it!
March 3, 2009 at 09:33
Joaquin…..I think you could be very close with that team. Wenger knows that Arshavin is not completely fit so, he will risk injury by starting him……
March 3, 2009 at 09:33
Steve. I find that a right to the body, followed by a left uppercut usually does the trick
And as you know – I am a Professional.
March 3, 2009 at 09:34
BR and a swift kick in the cunt always helps!
Too much??
March 3, 2009 at 09:35
hahhaha…wardo thats gold mate!
March 3, 2009 at 09:35
wardo the only difference i could see would be eboue in for vela, but i cant stand that midfield of eboue denilson song nasri. Fuck that has a bad ring to it.
March 3, 2009 at 09:36
TAIG….ha ha. I was just about to say, dont push it with the last comment…….Song is a lost cause I’m afraid.
March 3, 2009 at 09:37
taig, I believe you are referring to something we refer to here in the states as a cunt punt.
haha
March 3, 2009 at 09:37
Denilson is a squad player at present no more. His vision is not good. We need a DM who breaks up play and can then deliver a puniching pass……Alonso.
March 3, 2009 at 09:37
taig, i’m not sending mine into the dressing room. Fabregas would be out late for the kick off, she has a big line for him. Dirty pervert.
March 3, 2009 at 09:38
i have a feeling pool will go down to sunderland with cisse ruining his old clubs dreams of a title
March 3, 2009 at 09:39
TAIG.
That’s below the belt, and therefore against Queensbury Rules
March 3, 2009 at 09:39
Wardo – The little white line you don’t cross… turn around!
March 3, 2009 at 09:39
Morning all, welcome back Raddy, Evo thanks for the beer.
I prefer the silent treatment because if we have a row, the silent treatment follows anyway, so the silent treatment is like the silent treatment less the row.
Make sense?
March 3, 2009 at 09:40
Sorry, Taig not Wardo!
March 3, 2009 at 09:41
Joaquin….can’t see that. Think Rafa will get them playing after the defeat to boro…..hope you’re right tho
March 3, 2009 at 09:41
Apologies to all…….
March 3, 2009 at 09:41
Geoff, surely you boys realise that we know exactly when you prefer the silent treatment and when you’d prefer a row. And then we adjust our tactics accordingly. In such a way, as to cause maximum damage.
March 3, 2009 at 09:41
sunderland havent been bad lately though. They can bring it on occasion and there are a few players there with a chip on their shoulder
March 3, 2009 at 09:44
Morning Geoff.
Sorry to hear it rains on the plains in Spain.
Lovely day here, but ball shrinkingly cold
March 3, 2009 at 09:44
We do QOS whatever happens, we know what’s coming!
March 3, 2009 at 09:44
Geoff….makes sense. However, when I get the silent treatment first, its ends up in a row anyway. I find this way much worse cause you anticipate the pending argument…….
I’m got in last night and did everything to make up for Sunday……just so I can go and watch the gunners down the pub tonight. Hope my landlord get the channel for the gunners….he gets all other games. Might have to listen to it in Swedish or Italian etc
March 3, 2009 at 09:45
Morning Raddy I hope your mum was well, the weather tomorrow looks better!
March 3, 2009 at 09:45
I was looking to see who Taig is then I realised its Tonyadamsisgod
March 3, 2009 at 09:47
QoS i dont like u women for that but i heard gay men are worse so i would be sticking
I’ve got no right to complain considering the things we men or should i speak for myself what i do to women
March 3, 2009 at 09:47
Row for me, fuck the silent treatment as it will be followed by a row anyway. Get the row out of the way and then maybe you don’t get the silent treatment.
March 3, 2009 at 09:48
gnarley, have you ever considered being a detective??
March 3, 2009 at 09:49
Morning GG9.
How do you doing ?
March 3, 2009 at 09:51
not a problem Geoff, i know you like beer and you like Peroni. was just thinking of your waistline with the new lower carb peroni….you can sink 1001 at the game and you’ll be a box of birds after it!
March 3, 2009 at 09:51
Pedro – A new poll please!
Q: What do you prefer, a row or the silent treatment?
March 3, 2009 at 09:54
I prefer a row personally it normally leads to passionate…..
March 3, 2009 at 09:54
A silent row would be the best option. Especially as they normally come when you’re hungover. It’d be like a Laurel and Hardy movie.
It’s weird that in 10 years together I only ever row with my missus pissed or hungover. There is a theme starting here.
March 3, 2009 at 09:55
Franchise, only in the movies mate. My rows only ever end up in me being called a selfish cunt.
March 3, 2009 at 09:56
Maybe im a movie star steve
March 3, 2009 at 09:57
Morning all,
I have it on good authority that whatever the result Wenger NEVER says anything to the players straight after the game – he always leaves it till the next training session. The reason Arshavin has mentioned this now is probably because it’s new to him.
March 3, 2009 at 09:58
This the team….
Eboue DJ Toure Clichy
RM Merida CM Nasri DM Denilson LM Arshavin
SS VP CF Vela
that looks like a decent team don’t it?
March 3, 2009 at 09:59
If thats the case then Wenger has just gone done a considerable amount of pegs in my estimation of him!
March 3, 2009 at 09:59
Morning everyone!
Top post Geoff, loving your analogy.
I’d prefer silence… a row is ok if you can lower them to your level… but the worst is the,
‘I’m not angry, just disappointed… i need some time to myself.’
Well, what did she expect, her mum was hot and she was putting it on me?
Onto all things Arsenal!
I hope he goes with the same team bar Sagna. I think that sub told a story… he is clearly thinking along the same lines as us!
We’ll see how good Eboue is at right back, wont we?
March 3, 2009 at 10:00
I think we’d need a goalkeeper MG.
March 3, 2009 at 10:04
My team for tonight would be this:
Almunia
Eboue – Toure – Djourou – Gibbs
Nasri – Denilson – Wilshere
Arshavin
Van Persie – Vela
The team I think Wenger will pick:
Almunia
Song – Toure – Djourou – Clichy
Eboue – Nasri – Denilson – Vela
Van Persie – Bendtner
March 3, 2009 at 10:05
Steve do we?
March 3, 2009 at 10:06
taig – song at right back instead of Sanga? Surely even Wenger is not gone that mad yet…
March 3, 2009 at 10:06
Is the league becoming boring ? Man ure run away with it ? No club seems to be giving competion to them, liverfool fell away , chavs well they are just chavs and we all know about us and our problems. It’s about time they were challenged more I just hope that we are the team to do it in the future
March 3, 2009 at 10:06
Tony I don’t trust Gibbs enough but who knows Clichy has been shocking but not 2 sure about Gibbs in such a crucial position.
March 3, 2009 at 10:06
how good would it be for Nasri to be finally picked in the middle with capable players in his normal role, that would be gold!
March 3, 2009 at 10:08
Big Dave – i am not saying this will happen in the EPL, but in the La Liga Barca were 12 points at the top 2 weeks back, now it’s 4. But that just may be your point…
I hate the German league, it’s the most one i hate in the world, can’t stand it, but looking at the table this season maybe i should reconsider and give it a shot? 8 teams going for the title, now that’s a title race.
March 3, 2009 at 10:09
Duke – ha ha what a dick I am!!!!!! I meant Sagna!!!!!!!! Please dont take me for a Song lover, PLEASE!!!!!!!
March 3, 2009 at 10:10
I think Bendtner will notch tonight. The Wedgies have conceded more headed goals than any other team.
March 3, 2009 at 10:11
dave its in danger of getting that way… this will be man u’s 3rd on the bounce, if ronaldo goes apparentely they will go for ribery so they arent gonna slow down in their ambition either.
i reckon if fergurson wins the CL this year he may go… bail out at the top and all
March 3, 2009 at 10:12
taig, any more games like Sunderland and Fulham and we’ll be calling him Bacary Songna anyway. To go with Denilsong.
March 3, 2009 at 10:14
Steve – yeah, I think you could be right. Are we being harsh on him or is he a victim of the high standards he set in his first season? Maybe he’s suffering from burn out a little bit?
March 3, 2009 at 10:15
It’s curious how a lot of people want to see Eboue at right back. He’s lightning quick and can launch attacks, and playing him on right midfield is not his place. We need to be as attacking as possible so Eboue might just be the extra fraction of attacking power we need, even if it is from the back.
I’m going for a big win tonight, 3-0.
———Almunia———
Eboue—Toure—-Djourou—–Clichy
Arshavin—-Diaby—Denilson—-Nasri
——Bendtner——-RVP
They play football, we play football, lets go 4-4-2,
should be a nice game to watch tonight, we have to beat the basement boys, so many chances and no goals to show for it is a freak stat, something’s got to give tonight.
March 3, 2009 at 10:15
taig – i knew it was a mistake, had to point it out though.
Steve – i can’t agree with you less, Bak is always solid in defence, i think it’s just a 2nd season syndrome, don’t forget he was the best RB in the PL last season. With better players around he will get better, just needs some work on his crossing.
March 3, 2009 at 10:16
Finecuts that’s an awful side
March 3, 2009 at 10:16
taig, He was awful against Sunderland and not much better against Fulham. I think he is suffering from playing behind the worst midfield we have had to misfortune to see in over a decade. Great player, probably needs a rest.
March 3, 2009 at 10:17
Finest – I however don’t see a problem with it even if I would prefer to see Wilshere in a Diaby out. I sthat what you expect or what you would play?
March 3, 2009 at 10:17
Duke, he is a super player. Just saying he has been shit for a couple of games which is always likely to happen. I’m not talking about bombing him or anything.
March 3, 2009 at 10:18
Wenger did the right thing, instead of exploding and ruining his relationship with the players he took a step back, analysed the situation and the damage and realised that getting in players faces won’t help the cause, tactics, training and rotation will.
March 3, 2009 at 10:19
sagna hasnt had the same player in front of him much this season either, full backs need to get an understanding going with the winger, plus he’s clearly been told to put more effort into defending than attacking.
i reckoned we’re gonna get eboued tonight
March 3, 2009 at 10:20
Steve, point taken, let’s wait for him to be back at his best and playing behind and next to people he trusts.
March 3, 2009 at 10:20
Don’t blame it on the Sangna, don’t blame it on the Nasri, don’t blame it on Van Persie, Blame it on Eboue.
I just can’t, I just can’t, I just can’t control my feet.
March 3, 2009 at 10:21
Arsenal Tom – Yeah I know people talk about the relationship between a winger and the full back but I dont think most understand just how important it is! Is one of the key relationships on the field. I’m captain of my saturday team and play centre back and I’m constanstly telling me full backs to talk to their wide men! So much counts on their understanding each other.
March 3, 2009 at 10:21
Steve – ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
March 3, 2009 at 10:22
finecuts he did the right thing? 210 min without a PL goal do the math. so you think it’s right 4 wenger 2 favour so he does’nt hurt his relationship with his players how touching. Tactics, training and rotation? again do the math
March 3, 2009 at 10:22
It’s a guess, but I never get it right, I’d play Vela up front with RVP but if I was creative I’d go for.
———-Almunia———–
Sagna—-Toure—–Djourou—–Clichy
Arshavin—–Nasri——Diaby——–Vela
——Bendtner———-RVP
This is the most attacking lineup we can muster tonight.
I’d be hoping as always to get a goal in the first half hour, if we’re down or drawing on 35 mins I’d bring on Eboue for Sagna.
March 3, 2009 at 10:23
Steve that’s funny shit.
March 3, 2009 at 10:24
I have Metalgear and I’m disappointed but just going loco without sorting the situation out is counterproductive.
March 3, 2009 at 10:25
I post that song every 3 months or so and it always gets a laugh.
March 3, 2009 at 10:26
Steve – its just a shame that even every three months or so its still oh so relative!!!
March 3, 2009 at 10:27
Steve, it’s because it’s funny :$
March 3, 2009 at 10:27
Finecuts playing Merida on the right or the left with Arshavin on the opposite wing and Nasri in the Centre with Vela upfront is not counterproductive but playing Eboue on the wing Denilsong in midfeild VP up front with Bendtner is counterproductive.
March 3, 2009 at 10:27
or relevant even………
March 3, 2009 at 10:29
TAIG, hopefully theo getting back will sort that out… atleast he has the pace to recover even if he doesnt have the defensive instinct.
March 3, 2009 at 10:30
Hey lads
Row for me- gives me chance to make excuse
Vela should be given a chance up front. Given as many chances as Bendtner, he would be firing for us. When did Bendtner show anything Vela has for us in something like the Carling Cup.
Both can be good, but I have a feeling Carlos will be great.
INJURIES:
Theo: Could be fit for some of the Roma game
Ade: Slight chance vs Burnley
Edu: Greater chance vs Burnley
Cesc: 3 Weeks before 1st team action
Ro-sick: 3 Weeks before 1st team action
March 3, 2009 at 10:32
I can’t wait to have Theo back. We have been woefully short of 100 metre runners with no end product since he has been out.
March 3, 2009 at 10:32
I don’t know enough about Merida to be able to comment Metal Gear however bringing on an extra inexperienced player is not an option I’d favour.
Our two most experienced youths are Wilshere and Ramsay and if they can play a part, I’d rather see them getting some time.
March 3, 2009 at 10:32
Have we re-signed Edu Rob??
March 3, 2009 at 10:34
How about:
Almunia
Eboue JD Toure Gibbs
Den
AA (If fit) Merida
Nasri
RVP Carlos
Theo won’t be involved even on the bench 2day lads.
If AA not fit, then maybe switch Vela out wide, to left, Merida to right, Nik up front?
March 3, 2009 at 10:35
steven do i detect some sarcasm, there old boy?
id prefere to see him up front, i think arshavin would have a field day supplying him
March 3, 2009 at 10:36
———–Almunia
Eboue—JD—Toure—Gibbs
———Denilson
—AA (If fit)—–Merida
———Nasri
——–RVP–Vela

Emmanuel Adebayor admits Arsenal need to win every game if they are to qualify for next season’s UEFA Champions League.
The Gunners are facing a real battle to finish in the top four after an indifferent league campaign.
Arsenal are six points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa and Adebayor knows the pressure is on to overhaul Villa and qualify for the Champions League.
Asked if qualifying for the Champions League was Arsenal’s top priority, Adebayor told Sky Sports News: “Of course yes, otherwise I would just tell the boss I want to go on holiday.
“To be in fourth we have to give everything, to win every single game now until the end of the season.
“We know it is not going to be easy, we know it is going to be tough, but we just have to be ready in the head and face it.”
Plea
Adebayor has also called on the club’s fans to keep faith with them after they were booed off at the end of Saturday’s stalemate with Fulham.
“I just want to tell them I know it is difficult for everyone at the moment,” added Adebayor.
“It is difficult for the boss, difficult for us as players, for them as fans – so they just have to keep doing what they love the most which is keep pushing us on.”
March 3, 2009 at 10:37
Eduardo Steve
Unless we sold him recently
March 3, 2009 at 10:38
I cant wait for the return of THEEEEOOOOOOOO!! People under estimate the impact he has on games!!!
I’ve said for months now that his return will improve us more than Eduardo’s return of the signing of Arshavin……
March 3, 2009 at 10:38
Andrey Arshavin admits no-one at Arsenal wants to consider missing out on Champions League qualification this season.
He said: “Nobody even dares to think about it.
“Of course we have made our position in the race for the place in top four more complicated but the fight is not over yet.
“It turned out a mere copy of the previous game with Sunderland.
“Again we had a lot of scoring chances but nils remained on the scoreboard.
“It is the fourth goalless draw of Arsenal so the feelings are not very pleasant.”
March 3, 2009 at 10:39
Tom, I know he is our great english hope but i’m not sure he’ll ever be able to do it consistently. I really hope i’m wrong but he runs up more blind alleys than David Blunkett. Blunkett score more than Theo though.
March 3, 2009 at 10:40
Ahhh Rob a mixture of Dudu and Eddie, I like what you did there.
March 3, 2009 at 10:40
finecuts he’ll be playing on the wing not as a DM there’s a huge difference and just 4 the record Merida is the best passer of the ball in the reserves I’d rather him on the wing 2 add creativity then see the immobile Diaby or the hapless Eboue.
March 3, 2009 at 10:40
Steve – I really think he will become a huge star. We just need to get the most out of him. You would like to think that between Wenger and Capello that can be done…….
March 3, 2009 at 10:41
Kenya, I think there was a quote somewhere a couple of weeks ago that you forgot to cut and paste.
March 3, 2009 at 10:41
Theo has shown flashes of quality and finishing.
VS Chelsea, Liverpool, B’Ham last year, Croatia.
Nothing consisant yet, but he has what we need at the moment.
He has a fear factor, he scares defenses, with pace and movement.
THEO DOESN’T NEED A COUPLE OF WEEKS TO HEAL AS IT IS ONLY A SHOULDER INJURY
March 3, 2009 at 10:42
Steve – yes!!!! someone said it!!!!!
March 3, 2009 at 10:42
Hope so taig, I really do. I’d like to see him and LJW succeed more than any other player we have. Personally I’m not convinced.
March 3, 2009 at 10:43
I take it you were thinking the same taig??
March 3, 2009 at 10:43
yup – Arsenal Kenya – your ‘Ctrl’, ‘V’ & ‘C’ buttons must be fucked!
March 3, 2009 at 10:44
HAHAHAHA.
March 3, 2009 at 10:45
i reckon we might dump ade in the summer and theo will be given his chance up front, the money from ade should be used for a DM and a CB.
bentdner can be our big man when needed up front and with eddie, RVP, theo, vela, and simpson there plenty of options
March 3, 2009 at 10:45
I’m still giggling……
March 3, 2009 at 10:46
lol steve and TAIG
March 3, 2009 at 10:46
We need experienced players for the kids to learn from.
You could have the best 18 year old winger in the universe, but he would need someone to learn from, in our team now who is there to learn from.
To be honest, all our players in our 1st 11 are still learning.
Who can the like of Jack, Aaron, Coquelin, Sunu etc.
learn from???
It used to be Fab learning from Pires, Parlour, Viera.
But now???
March 3, 2009 at 10:46
A Tom – yeah I could definitely see that happening. Didn’t Wenger suggest he was getting close to playing Theo up top soon a little while back before the injury?
March 3, 2009 at 10:48
Rob – just a quickie…..If he’s the best in the world then why would he need to learn from someone? People would be learning from him, no?
I get your point though and its something I’ve always said as well. Who has Wilshere got to look up to? Fucking Abou Diaby? Er, no thanks……
March 3, 2009 at 10:48
You are assuming Van Persie will stay there Tom. I’m not so sure. He is still no nearer signing the contract by all accounts. I personally think he is waiting to see if we get forth place. If not I think adios to Barcelona.
March 3, 2009 at 10:48
Taig, I think so.
He said he always saw him as a striker
March 3, 2009 at 10:49
TAIG, not sure about that but i hope so, players like cesc, nas, arsh, rosicky would love having him there with his pace instead of always having to play the ball to the strikers feet. plus eddie is too good not to be playing week in week out when fit so someone’s gonna have to make way
March 3, 2009 at 10:50
Deafening!!!!
Your telling me, i mean who actually PAYS for the Arsenal tv online thing for his ‘ONLY’ interview…
i used too, now i just pirate it – they get enough of my money!!!!!
What a joke.
Still, nothing too say really. We can’t score, but against West Brom will will score plenty!
Come on You Reds!!!! Lets catch those brummy villa C**nts and show them why they ain’t won fuck all since 19fucking82!
March 3, 2009 at 10:51
P.S.
Can I give a quick plug to the Youth Team playing at the Lane on Thursday night : I’m going down there as it’s only a fiver, hope to see loads of other Gooners there too : Could we out number the Spurs fans? The match is now live on Setanta, so that might affect numbers, but get down there and support the kids.
March 3, 2009 at 10:51
so forgetting the back 5, you have 6 midfield/forward positions to fill. Out of the current squad, including the injured lot, who plays and where?
March 3, 2009 at 10:51
tonyadamsisgod…
hahahahaha!!!!
I bet the purpose of a blog is to update all the gunners worldwide on Arsenal matters!!
LET’S KEEP IT THE ARSENAL WAY !!!!!!
March 3, 2009 at 10:52
steve, yeah you could be right, wengers quote (im sure kenya can find it) about arsenal ‘meaning something’ him worried me because it was so reminiscent of the flam situation.
March 3, 2009 at 10:53
Arsenal Kenya – Too true, keep em coming………
March 3, 2009 at 10:55
Keeping flamini would be saving money in all honesty. If we had him i beleive we would be 2nd and maybe the 6 points of United, instead of 6 points of Villa.
March 3, 2009 at 10:57
Guys, as good as RVP has been, here are the figures:
EPL: Games: 20 (3)Subs Goals: 9
ECL: 7 (0) 3
Not exactly profilic, with how many chances he has had.
Ade: EPL: Games 20 (2) Goals: 8
ECL: 4 (1) Goals: 4
Assists I think they both have around 8. How bad has Ade actually been this season? How good has RVP been?
Nik: EPL: Games 10(10) Goals: 3
ECL: 4(4) Goals: 2
I Think that says a lot.
WE need to sell RVP or ADE for a top class striker, Villa, Benzema, someone who just scores and scores.
March 3, 2009 at 10:58
Slaven Bilic will surely agree that England’s right winger had nothing in the way of end product when England took on Croatia last years WCQ!
March 3, 2009 at 10:58
Rob – I think Eduardo knows where the back of the net is better than Villa or Benzema. Just my opinion.
March 3, 2009 at 10:59
Fran Merida
March 3, 2009 at 10:59
I’m with you there taig.
March 3, 2009 at 11:00
rob, i think eddies that man for us… with a proper firing midfield… containg 3 of cesc, arsh, nas, rosicky whoever he’ll bang them in… 3 chance will usually get you 2 goals from eddie
March 3, 2009 at 11:00
RvP steps up and scores important goals rob, Ade scores when we are winning already and 6 against Derby
You don’t just judge by stats, i mean when i see RvP play i know he is an exeptional talent, and he is also a 2nd striker, while Ade is the main striker and a lazy, talentless, big headed cunt.
March 3, 2009 at 11:02
Eduardo is a Robbie Fowler type finisher – he just knows where the back of the net is ALL of the time. And whats better is that he can actually play football to…..he has skill, vision, aerial ability. He will be come a very, very good player!
March 3, 2009 at 11:02
Duke – what do you really think of Ade?
March 3, 2009 at 11:03
Yeah Tom, forget the amount of times he has done fuck all then. He was unreal that night so that should keep his place in the team forever. How many times has he scored for Arsenal?
March 3, 2009 at 11:03
Fair enough.
We need
Ade Out
SOMEONE IN SQUAD TO BECONE WORLD CLASS, OR BE BOUGHT
in
March 3, 2009 at 11:03
VP was painted as the great white hope but the fact he has been a flop in front of goal but due 2 big egos people don’t wanna admit they overestimated him.
March 3, 2009 at 11:05
did anyone hear wenger say we are in a transitional period a lil while ago.I just listened to mobray talk up wenger for what im not sure.If he did say that we have been in a ”transitional phase” for 5 years now how much longer does he want
March 3, 2009 at 11:06
Eduardo is world class. The best natural finisher we have had since Wright Wright Wright.
March 3, 2009 at 11:06
TAIG and he’s a decent bloke… we wont see him fucking off if we dont CL football, he’s got class
Ade and Eddie were a good a partnership last year, i think eddie really gave ade a boot up the arse when he started banging them in and ade upped his game again.
March 3, 2009 at 11:08
Who is or what does taig stand for.
March 3, 2009 at 11:09
taig, to be honest i don’t like him much, if he had his last season form and commitment i could stand him, he worked his socks off and scored important goals, he also gives us a big presence up front which is not to be underestimated. But don’t forget he played lone man almost all last season which suited his game, but it is not Arsenal’s game. This season in addition to his dreadfull finishing he became lazy, and that i just can’t accept. Last season i would have bit anyone’s hand off for 20 mil, this season i will take 12. If he steps up till the end of the season and carries his form to next he could be a usefull plan B, i just don’t beleive in him and i don’t think he would like sitting out some games when he is fit, for example would he be ok with playing away to Stoke, Bolton, Blackburn, but missing the home game vs ManUre? Don’t think so, so ship him out.
March 3, 2009 at 11:09
Steve-
Since Henry
GOD, he scored 2 last Sunday night as Barca lost 4-3 to Atletico in the last minute.
His first was an absolute beauty. He’s scored nearly 20 goals this season.
Aguero scored a delightful double, his second winning the match.
Messi scored a good goal.
Forlan scored the pick of the lot though.
WATCH THE GOAL HIGHLIGHTS
ONE OF THE BEST GAMES I HAVE SEEN IN AGES
March 3, 2009 at 11:09
A Tom – yeah I could see that of Edu. If nothing else, Arsenal help save a hell of a lot of players’ career’s even if they dont play for us. Edu, if no one else, will pay us back ten-fold you can mark my words!!!
March 3, 2009 at 11:10
http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/03032009/1/sol-dock-points-dodgy-chants.html
March 3, 2009 at 11:11
rob, agree good game that, watched extended highlights, wished i caught it live.
March 3, 2009 at 11:12
Duke – Im 100% with you on that we should have sold him. Even if it was for half of the so called figures getting touted around I would have sold him. PLayers like Ade seem to have a very short shelf date. kanu was much the same and never really got a long spell of decent football under his belt. If we sell this summer then I would have him near the top of my list, if not at the summit of it!
March 3, 2009 at 11:13
Metal Gear – TAIG? Tony Adams Is God. All true! The real one and me!
I have no idea what I stand for though!!!!!
March 3, 2009 at 11:14
rob, I think Henry was taught to be a wonderful finisher and was helped by his all round brilliance generally. He created opportunities for himeself and took them most of the time. I think Wright was more natural in front of goal from a young age. he scored goals wherever he went in every level of the game.
March 3, 2009 at 11:15
Lager, porn and legalising drugs taig.
March 3, 2009 at 11:15

Am off to Birmingham to support the team, and meet up with some Goons.
COME ON YOU REDS!!!!!!!!!!!!
March 3, 2009 at 11:18
Rob – have a beer and a cheer for me! Enjoy! I hope!
March 3, 2009 at 11:18
rob, that article is spot on mate. The place is like a morgue most of the time. Give them a cheer from me mate.
March 3, 2009 at 11:19
Wenger pick Fran Merida
March 3, 2009 at 11:21
If only our home fans were as good as the away, we would blow everyone’s mindhole.
March 3, 2009 at 11:22
Just on a side note – I love the way Sky News have put a big red circle around the terrorists…….just in case you cant see the mad man spraying bullets and throwing grenades at bus loads of cricketers!!!!!
What would we do without you, Sky?????
March 3, 2009 at 11:23
LoL it’s brilliant taig.
March 3, 2009 at 11:24
I’m off to the gym for a bit. Laters.
March 3, 2009 at 11:24
taig hahahah
March 3, 2009 at 11:25
Do they think we are fucking stupid and that we wouldnt be able to understand it all?? I think they have got Andy Gray in the studio putting arrows to indicate where the terrorist should have run and where he should have directed his rocket propelled grenade!!!!!!
March 3, 2009 at 11:28
steve i think you spelt pub wrong there mate
March 3, 2009 at 11:29
prehaps they done it for wengers benefit, afterall his eyesight is bad you know
March 3, 2009 at 11:31
Tom – classic
March 3, 2009 at 11:36
Whats happened to Jack W lately ? read some where that his confidence has been knocked and that his game has dropped, he will play against spuds on thursday
March 3, 2009 at 11:37
TAIg, i think eddie could become a real legend for us… breaks his leg within 6 months of signing then becomes a goal machine for the next 7 years…
the way he’s been received at every game since then, even when still on crutches will affect anyone, he’ll probably already feel like he owes the fans because most players seem to after being injured for so long but he seems so humble that it’ll really get to him… hopefully anyway, if he dicks us over then we’ve got no chance with anyone else
March 3, 2009 at 11:39
A Tom – yeah, if someone like Eduardo cant bring himself to repay the club then all is lost for anyone else to do it…….
March 3, 2009 at 11:39
Dudu will be a legend, i can feel it, and you can see when a player has the skill. Also he is a nice person and that will work for him. It’s like if Reyes had his personality he would be our legend by now.
March 3, 2009 at 11:41
Dave… wenger has been leaving him out the 1 stsquad so he can train and play more with the reserves, i think its cos the first team have such short gaps between games the training isnt that intense… he said he didnt warm him to be a ‘professional bench warmer’
March 3, 2009 at 11:45
yeah of reyes had a pair of balls what a player he could have been, he’s fallen off the planet now
March 3, 2009 at 11:48
A Tom – they always do when they leave us, they always do…….
March 3, 2009 at 11:49
Really liked Reyes, shame it didn’t come off, also dont think him and Henry got on after the incident with the spanish manager all be it , it was not Reyes fault
March 3, 2009 at 11:51
i would change a few things for this game i would make 442 formation and i would give both clich and sangna a rest who have not looked very good this season dont get me wrong sagna has looked very solid at the back but going foward not too good but clichy has made alot of mistakes this season, i would play gibbs and eboue.with vela,aa,rvp, nasri, niiki b we have more than enough players to win this game .if there are talk the talk and walk the walk put up or shut up
March 3, 2009 at 11:56
Eboue a better crosser of the ball ??? His final ball is his biggest downfall. Anywhere near the penalty area and he panics and tends to give the ball away.
We could have killed two birds with one stone in the summer, by paying Flamini what he wanted and giving him the captain’s armband. Then we have our defensive midfielder and we have our team leader. That guy played with more passion and enthusiasm than anyone in the squad and he deserved more for that.
March 3, 2009 at 11:56
If i am not mistaken, Reyes is somewhere in Portugal and doing good for that league. But i don’t think he will ever reach the standard of Arsenal again.
March 3, 2009 at 11:57
Right im off to lunch chaps….enjoy!
March 3, 2009 at 11:59
duke
thats a real shame because he had the ability but i dont needed to grow up a bit,i had realy heard anything of him after he left madrid
March 3, 2009 at 12:01
duke i think your right… he was at benfica last i heard… big fall from grace!
March 3, 2009 at 12:01
Benfica now
March 3, 2009 at 12:02
I saw Jack play in a game the youth team lost 3-0 to Fulham. We defended badly as a team and the midfield was very poor so we deserved to get beaten, but Jack provided Arsenal’s best moments. Only about 4 in the whole game but given that no one else did anything and the team was poor, I still think he stood out as being the best there. He does need to playing though for the experience.
Mark Randall was atrocious. I really cannot see what any of the coaching staff see in him. He may be great in training but too often he is rubbish in matches. at some point someone will have to tell him he doesn’t have a future with us. He is still the youth team captain. With him in the team Arsenal dont stand a chance of winning silverware.
March 3, 2009 at 12:04
yeah he was on loan at benfica last season and signed permanently for them in the summer. So much footballing talent but just didn’t have the education or personality that would let him adapt very well. Unfortunate as I thought he’d be a fantastic player for us
March 3, 2009 at 12:06
gazzap he’s reserve capain, he’s too old for the youths now. Jay Emmanuel-thomas is youth captain
March 3, 2009 at 12:09
I would say the reason Reyes didn’t make it is because he is a gypsy, but that didn’t stop Ronaldo, let’s see what happens to Nani now
March 3, 2009 at 12:10
how come rooney made it then duke
March 3, 2009 at 12:13
reyes was slightly different though – he couldn’t speak spanish fluently until he was 16 i read somewhere
March 3, 2009 at 12:14
does anyone know of any good streams tonights game will be on?
March 3, 2009 at 12:16
boy
its a crucial time players like thoe ,i dont know if is good as reyes i think reyes was better but i wilcatt has alot of time to improve but a huge part of it mental and how mature the players is
March 3, 2009 at 12:16
don’t bother watching it a save yourself the trouble
March 3, 2009 at 12:16
A – Reyes couldn’t speak his native language til he was 16?? Has he learning problems?
March 3, 2009 at 12:17
BBK – Hooray i was feeling way too positive, thanks for bringing me down to depression land
March 3, 2009 at 12:20
irish… i heard that to… apparently he wasnt the brightest lad
March 3, 2009 at 12:20
irish, well he is a gypsy, so he couldn’t speak proper spanish, surely he spoke the broken shit they spoke in his tent.
March 3, 2009 at 12:20
i think he lived in a gypsy community that spoke a different language irish, so he only had to speak spanish in football with sevilla?
i read this years ago so i can’t remember the specifics. Think he lived and was educated in a gypsy community and they spoke a different language and didn’t mix with general society
March 3, 2009 at 12:23
That’s interesting guys, didn’t know that.
There is a guy playing for the Romanian national team who is a Roma Gypsy – apparently he is treated like rubbish my some fans.
March 3, 2009 at 12:24
I know some people who only have broken English – they live in the Gaeltacht region of Ireland so only speak Irish and they are educated people.
March 3, 2009 at 12:27
irish, the difference is Irish is a real language, while as gypsy spanish is not so much
March 3, 2009 at 12:30
what is there to be positive about irish a team that can’t score a goal in the league but can still finish 4th according to the special one
March 3, 2009 at 12:31
ha ha I got interested and had to go search the internet to see other gypsy players out there:
Freddy Eastwood and Sinisa Mihajlovic are the only two I have found so far, must make it a bit harder for them to get to professional football.
March 3, 2009 at 12:32
BBK – Mourinho said that
March 3, 2009 at 12:33
freddy eastwood is the funniest, still lives in a caravan i believe? used to live with a southend fan, think he said when eastwood made loads of money he bought a load of fancy new caravans for members of his community
March 3, 2009 at 12:33
Ade will go in the summer, Matuidi will come in
Hopefully RVP/Theo will be signed up soon contract wise.
March 3, 2009 at 12:33
yeah irish the special needs one that wears glasses occasionally
March 3, 2009 at 12:39
what do people think the team will be tonight?? im going with
almunia
sagna toure djourou clichy
denilson song
arshavin nasri
bendtner vela
March 3, 2009 at 12:39
position wise that didnt work at all, arshavin and nasri out wide obviously
March 3, 2009 at 12:42
A, sound about right what wenger will go for, i would put diaby in for song though, or move nasri center and put vela and no nikki.
March 3, 2009 at 12:43
Oh shit i obviously didn’t pay much attention, obviously RvP there and not Vela, he won’t play Vela as striker, best he can get is a left wing start.
March 3, 2009 at 12:44
ha ha thats funny about eastwood
do you think he’ll put Arshavin on the bench since he’s on so much about being unfit? Maybe Nasri on the RW and Vela on the LW
March 3, 2009 at 12:44
Im not sure that Arshavin will start tonight his fitness is not upto scratch at present
Rest Clichy/Sagna and RVP may need a bit of a rest to
0-0
March 3, 2009 at 12:44
oh yeah good point, forgot about diaby. yeah diaby for song. Bendtner and vela work very well together up top, and vp needs a rest
i could never see nasri start centrally in a 4-4-2.
March 3, 2009 at 12:45
Pirlo and Ibrahimovic are gypsy too
March 3, 2009 at 12:46
why you think he won’t play vela as a starter duke? i thought wenger has always said vela is a striker more than a winger, i think he’ll be a much better striker than winger, and he’s been fantastic as a striker alongside bendtner.
yeah good point about arshavin’s fitness, could see eboue start actually, eboue right, nasri left
March 3, 2009 at 12:48
————Almunia————
Eboue —- Toure —- Djourou —– Clichy
————-Denilson———————
Nasri ——– Diaby ————Vela
————Bendtner —————-
Bring RvP and Arshavin off the bench if needed. Give Sagna a break tonight and then bring Gibbs in on Sunday to give Clichy a breather?
March 3, 2009 at 12:48
we starting out with ten men to give them a fighting chance irish?!
March 3, 2009 at 12:51
am darn
March 3, 2009 at 12:52
Ok bring back in Sagna, push Eboue up to RM and Nasri into the middle
Just as well I’m not manager eh? I’d send out teams short a man
March 3, 2009 at 12:53
A, he also always said Theo is a striker, and they might both be in the future, but how many times has he played Theo as a striker? Vela will need to work hard on the left wing for some time before being considered as a striker before RvP, Ade, Dudu and Nikki.
irish, want to add one to that?
March 3, 2009 at 12:56
yeah he said he sees theo’s future as a striker, but needs to develop as a winger, but he said when vela arrived he was more of a striker, and played there in pre season and league cup. I agree about not being ahead of those four, but was thinking today could be a big opportunity for him with ade and dudu out, and vp exhausted.
I think theo and vela will have to be considered forwards soon, as they won’t get a look in out wide ahead of arshavin, nasri, rosicky, and wilshere (in a little while)
March 3, 2009 at 12:56
Afternoon all!
My friend (who is a gypsy) is cousin’s with Freddy Eastwood.
He’s been known to go down the road on a horse and carriage!
March 3, 2009 at 12:57
I’d go full strength tonight whatever.
Rest some players at home to Burnley in the cup on Sunday.
March 3, 2009 at 13:00
A, dosen’t sound too bad, i wouldn’t mind Vela getting a start as a striker, i would feel a bit scared leaving RvP and Arshavin both out. Specially RvP.
Wrighty and what would that full strenth be according to yourgoodself?
March 3, 2009 at 13:00
What a day in DC today …. 8 inches of snow on the ground and a wind chill of -20 Celcius
March 3, 2009 at 13:02
yeah i agree about vp and arshavin, but if they’re too tired to actually be beneficial to the team, as well as risking injury to them a week before the roma game, then it’d be a chance we gotta take. I guess it’s only the coaching staff and players who actually know whether vp and arshavin are up to starting
March 3, 2009 at 13:02
Read that AW has been approached by MC. It could be true or just an attempt by newspapers to fill the spaces. Anyway if he wants to go let him .He could be given unlimited authority and a bottomless pit of transfer cash. The interesting question will be who he signs and will he make an impact in his second year in charge like at Arsenal.
Having been freed from the constraints at Arsenal with regard to money,he could go for the top class rather than potential. I personally believe the Arsenal board will offer him cash to spend though not on the MC scale.
Assuming he buys top quality it will be intersting to see how he can transform MC.Al in all it will make an exciting summer regardless of whether Arsenal can clinch the fourth spot.
March 3, 2009 at 13:03
Duke,
The same side that played Fulham on Saturday mate.
Except Gallas of course!
March 3, 2009 at 13:04
what do you do in DC trinadad, don’t recruit people for a grad scheme by any chance do you?! does anyone on here?!
March 3, 2009 at 13:05
A, I’m an Engineer
March 3, 2009 at 13:05
Play them tonight.
Then if needed rest them on Sunday. We have a week until we go to Roma
March 3, 2009 at 13:05
I don’t think RvP is tired to be honest, he is at the top of his game and perfect age, i think he should play every game.
gunnerafrica, the board never will kick him out, and he will never leave himself to another English team, so it’s a bullshit story.
March 3, 2009 at 13:05
yeah wrighty, if possible i’d agree, or maybe bendtner for vela, but it’s whether the likes of vp and arshavin are able to start
March 3, 2009 at 13:06
Wrighty i agree, i would play that team also
March 3, 2009 at 13:07
They can get a little rest on Sunday if Eduardo, Ade, and Theo are fit. Arshavin isn’t going to Roma anyway.
March 3, 2009 at 13:07
if they’re tired though wrighty playing them tonight could risk them pulling something and being out for a couple of weeks. Though obviously arshavin won’t be playing against roma anyways. I’d be very careful with vp at this point
March 3, 2009 at 13:09
If MC are Man City not a hope – AW won’t manage another EPL club.
March 3, 2009 at 13:14
I would go for basically the same team. But Bendtner in for Van Persie, change to a 4-4-2 and change one of the full backs. Either that or change both fullbacks and bring Song (yuk) in.
March 3, 2009 at 13:19
not sure whether I would start Arsh or RVP and use them later in needed. I think I would do that. Vela and Nik to start. Would like to see Ramsey play at part too.
March 3, 2009 at 13:23
I think it worth a risk playing RvP.
Hopefully we are winning by enough to take him off at 60 mins!
March 3, 2009 at 13:27
Wrighty wishfull thinking, when was the last time we won enough by the final wistle in the league? I think if you count 2 goals enough then Everton, but considering game wise and when the goals were scored i would say Newcastle (3rd game of the season).
March 3, 2009 at 13:28
i don’t wrighty, if there’s a chance vp could be out of the roma game for the sake of playing tonight i’d tell him to go home put his feet up! He’s missed more chances than anyone else recently anyways so in his current apparently tired state he wouldn’t be that much of a loss tonight anyways!
i guess it’s only wenger and vp himself that’ll know whether he’s capable of starting
March 3, 2009 at 13:30
don’t believe rafa has the cheek to say injuries to torres cost them so badly.
cesc/eduardo/rosicky/theo anyone?! but oh no, it’s nothing to do with injuries, we’re just shit
March 3, 2009 at 13:32
Where do you guys get this RvP missed more chances that anyone lately? He has missed a few yes i agree, but none of our other strikers on top form would put it away either bar Dudu. If those fell to Ade you wouldn’t even consider them being chances.
March 3, 2009 at 13:32
————–Almunia————-
Sagna —- Toure —- Djourou —- Clichy
Eboue —- Denilson — Diaby —- Nasri
———–Bendtner —– Vela ———
I count 11 this time
back to 4-4-2 with maybe Nasri and Eboue further forward
March 3, 2009 at 13:33
irish is that what you want or what you think Wenger will play?
March 3, 2009 at 13:34
A – “Rafa’s cracking up” LOL I ponder how Liverpool fans can stick so adamant behind him – he lost them the shot of a premiership trying to get one over the liverpool board
March 3, 2009 at 13:34
eduardo was initially out for two weeks…he should have been back for todays match, as a sub atleast. any updates of his injury
will he b back for fa cup match or CL
March 3, 2009 at 13:35
Duke – what AW will play if he changes it to give a rest to some players namely Arshavin and RvP
March 3, 2009 at 13:36
Gooner-pak: Eduardo, Walcott and Adebayor are all “maybes” for the Burnley game which hopefully means definites for at least the bench against Roma
March 3, 2009 at 13:36
because he has duke – he’s missed probably more than the others, but that’s because he’s missed more. None of our strikers are firing at the moment. a couple of vp’s header missed were open goals, easier chances than the bendtner miss against roma! Not saying vp is shit, just that his playing when tired at the moment isn’t actually much better than the other forwards.
You can’t say for certain any chance that a striker misses another striker would have scored (though obviously people try to claim that with bendtner) as all strikers can score or miss any chance. my point is just the vp is off form in front of goal, the same as every player in the squad!
yeah i agree with that team irish, I think that could be what happens, depending on vp and arshavin’s fitness
March 3, 2009 at 13:37
I understand concerns regarding RvP but I’d take the risk.
He could get a hatful tonight.
March 3, 2009 at 13:39
i thought theo was pretty likely to be ok for burnley as he’s been full training since yesterday. Eduardo is a maybe, adebayor is a slight chance.
although they said two weeks all timeframes with injuries are just an estimation, you never know how long the injury will actually take to heal, it isn’t as exact as “he was injured on monday the 16th so he’ll be back in 2 weeks on monday the 2nd”.
yeah but on the otherhand wrighty he could get injured for the roma game, and then we’d be buggered….
March 3, 2009 at 13:39
A – it might be risky though to leave both RvP and Arshavin out though do you not think considering their creativity and experience over Eboue and Vela respectively?
March 3, 2009 at 13:40
ROBIN VAN PERSIE CLAP CLAP CLAP ROBIN VAN PERSIE CLAP CLAP CLAP
March 3, 2009 at 13:40
to be fair regarding vp and arshavin we can’t say we’d rest them or we’d play them because we’ve got no idea what sort of physical state they’re in so it’s all just speculative!
March 3, 2009 at 13:41
A – it might be a case that AW will ask RvP? Ask him does he feel fresh enough to play tonight and then he can have a rest against Burnley which’ll leave him all go for Roma as he’ll have a week off?
March 3, 2009 at 13:43
thanks irish for update
March 3, 2009 at 13:43
yeah it just depends how tired p is, how high the risk of a pulled muscle is if he plays. I’m sure he’ll get a rest against burnley so it isn’t a case of being tired for roma, it’s whether he’s physically up to playing tonight without injuring himself
March 3, 2009 at 13:44
irish i think that’s what will happen, i think he will start RvP as he will rest him vs Burnley, and rest Arsh and bring in on in the 60th so he can start vs Burnley as he won’t have CL laster
March 3, 2009 at 13:44
A,
I understand your concerns for the Roma game mate but I really think tonight is the most important league game Arsenal have had this campaign.
Its win at all costs for me.
Ade would be fit for Roma anyway and if, as expected, Wenger goes 4-5-1 in Roma then I’d say a fired up Adebayor could be a better choice as a lone striker anyway.
March 3, 2009 at 13:47
my team for tonight would be, seaman, lauren, toure, campbell, clichy, ljungberg, vieira, gilberto, pires, henry, bergkamp.can i choose them please
March 3, 2009 at 13:47
Agree Wrighty, also Dudu should be back for Roma also. Plus Man City might do a number on Villa, and if we win, we are only 3 points behind
BOMBAKLOT
March 3, 2009 at 13:48
yeah i agree with that in terms of the importance of the game wrighty, if vp was playing well and banging in the goals then i’d say risk him, but with him being off form he’s not that much more likely to convert a chance than anyone else, so if there’s a big risk involved i’d rest him.
I thought ade is only a slight chance in being back for burnley, so probably a chance but not certainty for roma, certainly in terms of being fit enough to start?
March 3, 2009 at 13:48
Wrighty – I think your call on Adebayor as a lone striker against Roma if AW goes 4-5-1 is a good one. He is more of a nuisance for defenders that RvP and hopefully he’ll come back and put in some effort after his injury
March 3, 2009 at 13:49
Duke,
I think Manchester City WILL beat Villa and if we didn’t win tonight then I’d cry!
Villa are stuttering and bottling it, I hope we aren’t as well!
March 3, 2009 at 13:50
BBK – Of course you can, all you need is a time machine
March 3, 2009 at 13:50
Hi all, just reading what you were saying about Freddie Eastwood. He was also spotted many times travelling to games down the A127 by horse and cart whilst he was at Southend. He lived in Wickford about 10 miles away.
I shit you not.
March 3, 2009 at 13:51
You sure can BBK
March 3, 2009 at 13:51
sagna toure dj clichy
bischoff song nasri vela
bendtner van pussy
March 3, 2009 at 13:51
Wrighty – if we win well tonight I’m 99% certain we’ll catch the feckers, maybe even Liverpool cos remember they don’t have Torres – all together now “AAAAAW”
March 3, 2009 at 13:52
boooooooooh
March 3, 2009 at 13:53
Wrighty – I will cry also, i shed a tear when we couldn’t beat Fulham, but some miracle worker made Stoke do what they did.
Steve – i also heard that
March 3, 2009 at 13:53
A,
Agreed about RvP not scoring but I think one goal from him will spark a run of goals again.
He seems to be a player who has that spark for Arsenal to create something from nothing.
Arshavin will be the same at full fitness.
March 3, 2009 at 13:56
Irish,
Fingers crossed Adebayor realises that his place is under threat and it gives him a kick up the arse.
He pisses me off because in the past even when he wasn’t playing well he grafted for the team.
Ferdinand and Terry said he was the hardest player to play against in the Premiership. I want that Ade back!
March 3, 2009 at 13:58
adebarndoor will not create fuckall this season he has been a prick all season plus there are only a few games left
March 3, 2009 at 13:59
I just heard that the Man U keeper coach showed Foster re runs on an IPOD just before the penalty shootout. He showed him an IPOD video of O’Hara taking penalty’s. It showed he always goes high & to the left. What do you guys think of this?
March 3, 2009 at 14:00
Wrighty – yeah thats the annoying thing, he’s not even trying. Say what people want to about Nikki B but at least he puts himself about
March 3, 2009 at 14:00
im glad he fucked them spurs cunts up i ain’t got no problem with that can you imagine the deluded ones again at the end of the season we won another trophy what have you lot won
March 3, 2009 at 14:00
BBk, with you on Adebayor. Lazy cunt, hope he fucks off as soon as.
March 3, 2009 at 14:03
Dnt get me wrong Im happy that Spurs got fucked but what about this IPOD thing? Isnt that an unfair advantage?
March 3, 2009 at 14:03
yeah i agree wrighty about vp, and arshavin.
Think ade could be useful if he’s got his head right when it comes to roma, but in the long run i don’t see him having much of a role as a regular. When we start firing as a team we’ll be well and truly raping teams because of quick pass and move, like the olden days, and ade will stifle our overall ability as a team.
Despite the fact that he can make life incredibly hard for defenders on an individual level, for the good of the team i seeing him being a plan B, even if he gets his work ethic back
March 3, 2009 at 14:03
as far as im concerned he was not worth the pay rise the cunt got he made a mockery of the club in the summer then he has the ordasity to deliver shit performances all season cunt
March 3, 2009 at 14:04
LEWYD24 who cares if it’s an unfair advantage the deluded ones lost that is all that matters
March 3, 2009 at 14:05
Let’s hope that Wenger has learned his lesson with the greedy cunt. Anyone tries to hold the manager to ransom then tell them to fuck off and get top dollar for them.
March 3, 2009 at 14:05
Lewyd – why would it be an unfair advantage??
March 3, 2009 at 14:06
steve wenger don’t learn lessons for the past 5 years he still has not learnt anything
March 3, 2009 at 14:06
Lewyd, how is it an unfair advantage? They could have showed it to him on TV pre-match, just that they didn’t want to fill his head with that bullshit and waited to see if they need to, they downloaded it on the ipod, how is it any different from Lehmann having a note in his sock of who shoots where?
March 3, 2009 at 14:07
Lewyd, it is no different to the German coach giving Lehmann a sheet of paper with penalty taker’s percentages in the World Cup against the stinking Argies. They won that game because of their famous organisation skills.
March 3, 2009 at 14:07
we don’t know what happened in the summer at all, it’s all speculation and based on assumptions.
I personally think wenger tried to cash in on the over-achievement of ade last season and thought he could con someone into paying 30 million for him but there weren’t any offers that topped 20!
March 3, 2009 at 14:08
Fucking hell Duke, you’re a clever cunt.
March 3, 2009 at 14:08
The problem with Adebayor is he thinks he has made it; HE HASN’T!
He thinks he is Thierry Henry now but the problem with that is Henry improved every season and had the hunger to become one of the greats.
If anything Adebayor has gone backwards this season.
I really believe Adebayor could be one of the best in the world but its down to him.
I just don’t see that hunger in him and thats a shame.
March 3, 2009 at 14:08
ha ha they turned a logical reply from Smith into this
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1158796/Arsenal-legend-Smith-tells-Wenger-days-numbered-Gunners-fail-again.html?ITO=1490
March 3, 2009 at 14:09
20 mill would of been enough to get rid of him we all knew he would be a one season wonder and so far he has proved that
March 3, 2009 at 14:09
apparently the fa and uefa are looking into it as it is a bit dodgy, though it wasn’t illegal. I don’t see the problems with it personally, though didn’t tv screens get banned in dug outs and changing rooms so managers couldn’t watch referees mistakes etc? ipod might constitute a screen i guess??
March 3, 2009 at 14:10
Lewd,
I’d call that being prepared my matey.
March 3, 2009 at 14:11
at the end of the day the wankers lost, that is all that matters enjoy
March 3, 2009 at 14:13
Steve – your not to bad yourself
They prepared, they won, end of, it’s not cheating at all.
March 3, 2009 at 14:13
i agree wrighty regarding ade thinking he’s the bollocks, he’s become a fucking diva!
disagree about him being one of the best though. He’s massively lacking in footballing intelligence, and also doesn’t have great technique. He’s a very very useful forward, and will always score goals cos of his physical attributes, and defenders will hate to play against him, but he was never going to be a great player, and would never have been the future for us, even if his work rate was still exceptional
March 3, 2009 at 14:13
Wrighty, we were chatting earlier about natural finishers and I think that Eduardo is the best we’ve had since your good self. Henry made himself such with hard work and the fact he had pace and skill in abundance. Some players have to work harder to make it. Eddie is naturally gifted in front of goal.
March 3, 2009 at 14:14
it’s incredible isn’t it irish. I’m sure the daily mail sports editor must be a spud
March 3, 2009 at 14:14
guys where will the game be streamed tonight????
March 3, 2009 at 14:16
http://www.football4less.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25087
March 3, 2009 at 14:17
I’ve decided to help with the positive jinxing. Rather than sit in my living room with a beer watching us play West Brom tonight, I’m gonna be outside in, no doubt, the pissing rain playing football myself! Maybe if I dont watch the game we might actually get a positive result!!
March 3, 2009 at 14:17
A – I know. Could you imagine if you only read the Daily Mail and tabloids in general ha ha the way they twist things is so easy!!
Steve – I agree on Eduardo, I think what helps him is that he is so cool in front of goal never panics
March 3, 2009 at 14:17
A, agree on that, i think he at best would be a plan B for us, but as i mentioned earlier he would never accept that. He would be a top striker, plan A for a team like Liverpool, or somewhere in Italy, that’s why Milan were trying to get him so hard.
March 3, 2009 at 14:18
any ideas where game will be streamed??
March 3, 2009 at 14:18
TAIG – LOL I’m thinking the same thing. Avoid all contact with it til the game is finished, not even check the scores. I think I jinx it.
March 3, 2009 at 14:19
Darren – not sure don’t think its even on tv so you’ll have to do a good search on the internet for it
March 3, 2009 at 14:19
http://www.sport.co.uk/news/Football/15447/City_tracking_Bentley.aspx
ha ha
March 3, 2009 at 14:20
Yup – Edu is a natural goal scoring talent in the strictest sense of the term!
March 3, 2009 at 14:20
irish, i think we all jinx it, maybe if there is not a single person in the stadium we will win, or the very least Wenger will get the message?
March 3, 2009 at 14:21
ha yeah, regarding football, and life in general, if you locked yourself away for a year just reading the daily mail, then came out, the extent to which reality would be skewed from the impression you’d built from the daily mail’s “news” would be ridiculous.
reading the daily mail is like listening to that minister of propaganda during the iraq war reporting that the americans were being defeated and had been thrown out of baghadad whilst there were tanks rolling along over his shoulder!
March 3, 2009 at 14:21
Duke – ha ha. No I’ll stay away, not look for a stream and not check the scores – that should see us win
March 3, 2009 at 14:22
Don’t “Spurs look to reshuffle their pack.” every 4 month or so?
March 3, 2009 at 14:23
A – I took it upon myself a while back to discredit the Daily Mail as the rubbish it is

March 3, 2009 at 14:24
Spurs don’t know what they are doing thats easy enough to figure out
March 3, 2009 at 14:24
tonyadamsisgod – how would i find these channels u list??
March 3, 2009 at 14:24
Darren – try Justin tv
March 3, 2009 at 14:25
cheers irishgunner!
March 3, 2009 at 14:27
Darren – These are various channels on offer in countries such as Italy, Holland, Ukraine etc. http://www.liveonsat.com has the list of channels and when you hover over them provides you with relevant satelite information. But dont think this helps because you still need the relevant sky cards/registrations/boxes etc. For example I could watch it on Sky Calcio 2 tonight as I have Italian Sky even though I live in the UK.
March 3, 2009 at 14:27
Yeah the Internet is the best bet…..
March 3, 2009 at 14:28
Steve,
I totally agree about Eduardo being the best finisher at the club mate.
He reminds of a super Robbie Fowler. Deadly in front of goal but there is more to him than that.
As for him being the best finisher at the club since I was there; HA HA
There was a time I wished I was Ian Wright mate and not a nobody from Sidcup but now, after all his rants in the media, I’m glad I’m not!
March 3, 2009 at 14:30
Wrighty 7: You and me both my friend…..
tonyadamsisgod Says:
March 3, 2009 at 11:02 am
Eduardo is a Robbie Fowler type finisher – he just knows where the back of the net is ALL of the time. And whats better is that he can actually play football to…..he has skill, vision, aerial ability. He will be come a very, very good player!
March 3, 2009 at 14:31
irish, great article, really enjoyed that.
Here is the question then for you, what is your favourite/most reliable paper? (If the 2 are mutualy exlusive, state so).
March 3, 2009 at 14:34
We have to stop us all agreeing with eachother.
Get Geoff on to court some controversy.
March 3, 2009 at 14:35
Where is Ethan when you need him!!
March 3, 2009 at 14:35
Duke, the Sun because they hate bindippers.
And the FT because I get it free at work.
March 3, 2009 at 14:35
8-1
March 3, 2009 at 14:36
Tony Adams is God,
Couldn’t have put it better myself mate!
March 3, 2009 at 14:37
Duke – Cheers
I’m Irish so would read the Irish Times but to be honest I don’t read papers too often. I tend to go to newswires like Associated Press and that. I do read tabloids though but more for the laugh – I did media studies at college so read as much as I can but thats not to say I believe them. Broadsheets in general are objective enough.
My favourite love/hate newsgroup is Fox. They are so bad its funny – my articles were going up on their “soccer” page but I asked them to stop. People were replying calling Wenger a pedophile – Fox refused to take down the comments so I removed them the privilege of my articles
March 3, 2009 at 14:38
Steve,
I think Song could be better than Vieira……
March 3, 2009 at 14:39
lollllllllll wrighty nice joke m8
March 3, 2009 at 14:40
HAHAHA good try Wrighty, I so nearly had a bite on that hook.
March 3, 2009 at 14:40
Wrighty – if you want to start a fight you have to make a topic believable. Saying Song could be better than Vieira only invokes pity
March 3, 2009 at 14:41

This is a nice touch. Perhaps we’ll stop the charity on the pitch soon though.

March 3, 2009 at 14:42
Ha ha
March 3, 2009 at 14:42
irish, the little white men in little white coats are currently tracing his I.P address.
March 3, 2009 at 14:42
I have to disagree with you Wrighty, i think Song is already better than Viera ever was.
March 3, 2009 at 14:42
So basically today we have all managed to agree that Eduardo is our best shot at getting goals, we all eagerly await the return of Theo, A lot us would be up for switching out our full backs tonight, most people want to sell Ade and most of us arent going to watch the game tonight through fear that laying our eyeballs on screen thats 100’s if not 1000’s of miles way from where the match is being played will somehow actually have an effect on how we play!!
We’re a weird a bunch!!
March 3, 2009 at 14:43
Oh by the by, i think the Guardian is the most reliable even though they do not love us that much either.
March 3, 2009 at 14:43
Steve – remove your fingers from the Ctrl & C button right now!
March 3, 2009 at 14:44
Ok,
Serious question.
If Wenger WAS to leave in the summer who would you choose to replace him?
My choice; Bergkamp (although his fear of flying may cause a problem.
March 3, 2009 at 14:44
Marco Van Basten! Bosh!
March 3, 2009 at 14:45
And Dennis as attacking coach, Keown as defensive coach and seaman as GK coach!
March 3, 2009 at 14:45
Duke,
BLASPHEMY!
March 3, 2009 at 14:47
I reckon Benitez will go Real Madrid, Scolari will go Man City and Mourinho will go Liverpool
March 3, 2009 at 14:48
Martin O’Neil – without a doubt Wrighty!
March 3, 2009 at 14:49
Wrighty, i’ll probably get slaughtered for this but with our current board nobody could replace Wenger.
Any other manager that has worked under the constraints he has would be fucked. We are struggling now in as far as we have a lot of average players but with his expenditure it’s a minor miracle that we aren’t in the bottom half.
March 3, 2009 at 14:49
are you high Duke
March 3, 2009 at 14:49
Anyone or someone we could get and is available?
If anyone then Hidding
If realisticly then Rijkard
March 3, 2009 at 14:49
Steve – thats probably a very valid point! Fuck! Stop making sense people!!!!!
March 3, 2009 at 14:50
I fucking hate Martin O’Neil.
We’d be like a glorified Wimbledon within a year.
March 3, 2009 at 14:50
I actually agree with you Steve, FFS! Ha HA
March 3, 2009 at 14:51
Duke you must be high or song mate
March 3, 2009 at 14:52
wrighty – Jesus even we are thinking the same thoughts!! Thats twice now!!
March 3, 2009 at 14:53
Cheers taig, when you look at what teams like Spertz, Sunderland, Villa have spent it puts things into perspective a little.
Man Yoo, Chelsea and Liverpool have spent fortunes for years.
March 3, 2009 at 14:55
Arsenal.com have key duals up! Nasri, Denilson and Nikki B are in the spotlight so expect them to play tonight!
http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archive/27102/key-battles
March 3, 2009 at 14:56
No wait i was wrong, Song should be our player-manager!
March 3, 2009 at 14:57
Duke,
Song is being lined up for that job mate.
March 3, 2009 at 14:59
Wrighty, glad to hear it, he is the best thing to happen to AFC on or off the field.
From the key duals i realise that Sammy has an amazing shot on target accuracy
March 3, 2009 at 15:00
Simpson on Arsenal team mates:
ARSENAL
Manuel Almunia
Goalkeepers are normally strange people but he is probably the most sensible I’ve met so far. A good character to have behind you and I always felt comfortable when he is in goal.
Lukasz Fabianski
He is quite normal for a goalkeeper as well. When he has stepped up into the first team in the Carling Cup and FA Cup he has been excellent and pulled off some great saves.
Bacary Sagna
He is funny and hardworking. He gets forward well but his biggest strength is his recovery running. In and around the building he is always making jokes and getting involved with the younger players.
William Gallas
He has been good with the younger players. He likes helping us and giving us advice. If you are a young player he is great to have around, because he passes on his experience.
Kolo Toure
He is a great leader in the dressing room. I thought he was going to be given the captaincy this season and even though he didn’t get it he still leads. Difficult to play against, as he has shown in the Premier League.
Gael Clichy
He is very quick and has a great ‘engine’. He gets up and down the line with no problem. He is only 23 but acts like a senior player and tries to help the youngsters.
Johan Djourou
I am surprised how well he has done at centre-back, because he started off as a central midfield player. He is a cool lad off the pitch and is normally on the ball with his fashion and music.
Denilson
He is quite quiet and his English isn’t the best but it is coming along and that should help him in the future. As a player he is a great passer who can also break down play.
Alexandre Song
He is a funny lad. He is really loud although only where he feels comfortable – like in the dressing room or on the pitch. Around the hotels he is a lot quieter.
Emmanuel Eboue
He is the funniest man in the whole team. He is loud, outgoing, really sociable and he will talk to anyone. He helps the young lads settle in when they step up to the first team and he makes them feel comfortable.
Aaron Ramsey
He seems a really quiet lad at Arsenal, but people from elsewhere tell me he isn’t always like that. Josh Knight, who plays for the Albion youth team and knows Aaron through Wales teams, reckons he can be loud.
Samir Nasri
He is a skilful player with great technique who can cause defenders lots of problems. His performances show how well he has settled into the Premier League and the other French players have helped him a lot.
Andrey Arshavin
He arrived after I left for Albion but I watched his debut on TV and he did really well, breaking forwards and getting a couple of shots off.
Nicklas Bendtner
I know him well and when he works hard he can be a great forward. It’s been difficult for him this year, because Arsenal haven’t done so well. He is technically a good player.
Robin van Persie
He is a technical genius. Players coming from Feyenoord and normally technically good but he is a great player in the English game as well. He has probably been Arsenal’s best forward this season.
Carlos Vela
His English has improved a lot and that should help him become more outgoing, but I enjoy working with him a lot. He is a great finisher and off the pitch he can be quiet funny.
Eduardo
He is a great talent who has been badly missed. He could well be the answer to the goalscoring problems when he gets full back to his best.
March 3, 2009 at 15:01
taig the key duals have nothing to do with the starting teams, they’re done on guesses by people no more in the know than me and you!
March 3, 2009 at 15:02
Reading between the lines on Simpson’s and Theo’s comments about Song, it sounds like everyone connected to Arsenal, bar AW, thinks he is fucking useless!!
March 3, 2009 at 15:03
A – Fair enough, didnt know that……I thought it was just possibilities like 2 out of the tree would start. I understand we wouldnt be giving any info away….
March 3, 2009 at 15:04
So in conclution Simpson bases players on where they are loud or not and dosen’t mention Ade at all.
March 3, 2009 at 15:05
Duke – ha ha I didnt even notice the lack of Ade….qaulity! No doubt Ade will throw his £110k worth of toys out of his pram!
March 3, 2009 at 15:05
Rijkarrd’s over-rated a tad IMO
Hiddink if Chelski hadn’t taken him, football under O’Neill would be crap but as Steve said no-one is better than AW at the moment
March 3, 2009 at 15:06
where’s that from taig? I find those comments very dodgy – he seems relatively articulate in that writing, in interviews he’s on par with les ferdinand in the dumnness stakes!
March 3, 2009 at 15:07
Hi, does anyone know somewhere in North London that is showing the game this evening?
March 3, 2009 at 15:07
Surprise surprise:
http://www.sport.co.uk/news/Football/15451/Arsenal_and_Chelsea_monitoring_the_King.aspx
March 3, 2009 at 15:07
How can you say the team selection was correct… Surely we should play 4-4-2 against the like of Fulham, we were at home after all!!!!
March 3, 2009 at 15:08
A – really? I noticed afew gramatical errors in there.
He did both teams, here you go:
http://www.expressandstar.com/2009/03/03/albion-v-arsenal-the-simpson-lowdown/
March 3, 2009 at 15:08
taig he is probably on the phone asking Simpson to go and say that he didn’t mention him because he is so great Simpson is not worthy to speak about him. Ade is paying him his monthly wage to say that
March 3, 2009 at 15:09
I just found his comment on Ade:
Adebayor is a useless, lazy cunt. He couldn’t hit a cow’s arse with a banjo and I personally wouldn’t piss on the egocentric cunt if he was on fire.
March 3, 2009 at 15:09
taig, oh oh oh SO EXITED, CAN WE GET HIM WENGER? PLS PLS PLS PRETTY PLS WENGER, CAN WE? AHHHHHHHHHHHH
March 3, 2009 at 15:10
yeah taig the website editors who do those stories are working for the club, but don’t have any more information than us. A mate of a mate is the chelsea one, just people like us chatting about football guessing on formations and team selections, they do go to the press conferences and stuff and the occasional interview at the training ground and like the ones on arsenal tv but they have no more insider knowledge on the inner secrets of the team than us!
i dunno irish, obviously rijkaard had a decent set of players to work with, but he was the only manager who created a unique attacking style of play like arsene did, i really liked him at barca
March 3, 2009 at 15:10
Steve, hahahhaha nice one mate
March 3, 2009 at 15:11
Steve – Ha ha, dont know how I missed it!
Duke – Ha ha, I can see the ST renewals flying through the door as we speak!!
A – You (I) learn something new every day!
March 3, 2009 at 15:13
taig i think around 100,000 people around the world excluding the shirt sales at the Aurmoury printed his name on their shirt already without waiting to sign him.
March 3, 2009 at 15:13
Wrighty-I will say Laudrop. But it’s just my humble opinion.
March 3, 2009 at 15:14
cheers taig, interesting article, wonder who he’ll be supporting today!
March 3, 2009 at 15:14
A – Rijkaard is a good manager I;m not doubting that but he had money and the players and he let Deco and Ronaldinho run the roost a but. Pep doesn’t seem to take any crap. IMO Rijkaard is a Wenger wannabe except his has a European winners medal.
Actually read in the papers over the weekend that AW is the only manager to have lost all three european finals – Cup Winners Cup with Monaco and the UEFA and CL with us – that must be a shit feeling.
March 3, 2009 at 15:14
Duke – He’s the answer to all our prayers!!
Or not!!
Look in England you fuck wit Wenger or better still look in your fucking reserve team!!
March 3, 2009 at 15:15
A – If it were me I dont think I could help wanting WBA to win just to say ’see your not that good that you can off load me’ but then again it would have fuck all to do with him coz he’s not playing!
March 3, 2009 at 15:16
Irish – I’m sure Arsene thanks you for reminding him, ha ha!
March 3, 2009 at 15:17
TAIG – ha ha hope it haunts him, it’ll make it sweeter when we lift the CL in May
March 3, 2009 at 15:17
he’s still on loan taig, still an arsenal player, he’s grateful for the opportunity to play in the prem im sure and train with arsenal, i’m sure he’s happier than we found him a premiership club to play regularly for, rather than play for the reserves!
March 3, 2009 at 15:18
EASY EASY EASY!!
March 3, 2009 at 15:18
A – Just me who’s the bitter, jealous type then, ha ha!
March 3, 2009 at 15:21
Has that sarf London menace bloke gone up there tonight? Haven’t seen him on today. Or nick.
March 3, 2009 at 15:23
just watching interview with simpson now, he isn’t AS stupid as i thought he was. Claims he speaks a bit of french too!
March 3, 2009 at 15:24
Chateaux Neuf Du Pape Rodney, sorry A.
March 3, 2009 at 15:26
I dont think more than about 10 different people have been on here today……I guess we know which ones start the arguments now!! Well policed today guys!
Right I’m off chaps. Hopefully me choosing to play football rather than watch football later will have a positive effect on the gooners and hopefully RvP & Co are the complete opposite of what I’ll be like in front of goal tonight!!
Emjoy the game guys and girls as tonight’s result is gonna be a whopping……………..
March 3, 2009 at 15:27
Thats me not predicting the score by the way!
Laters!
March 3, 2009 at 15:27
Bye TAIG
March 3, 2009 at 15:28
Have a goodun taig.
March 3, 2009 at 15:28
happy footying taig
March 3, 2009 at 15:29
See you TAIG, good luck in you football game, i will be watching the mighty Gunners
March 3, 2009 at 15:30
So if we don’t win again, you know who to blame :$
March 3, 2009 at 15:33
NW5 – The 12 Pins in Finsbury Park will have it.
I hoping so anyway!
March 3, 2009 at 15:34
Afternoon al,
if and a big if AW was replaced do you guys actually think the flood gates would open so we can spend some real money, because wherever we finish this year,I can’t see anything changing in the summer with AW’s policy of buying on the cheap or over rated injury prone players, albeit AA wasn’t cheap, but i think he is cover for Rosicky.
My view is that Lady Nina may hold the key if she sells her shares, therefore we are ready for a takeover, but the more i read about the fat russian the more i don’t want him at our club.Any thoughts.
March 3, 2009 at 15:40
kelsey, i’m a firm believer that it’s the board and not Wenger that are responsible for the lack of cash spent. Which is why his job will never be under any pressure. Without Wenger and the current board we’d be in the bottom half of the table. They know it aswell. they are always so careful as to not upset him it’s laughable.
March 3, 2009 at 15:40
My team for WBA
……………..Al……………..
Eboue…….Kolo…..Djouoru…..Clichy
Nasri…….Song……Den…….Arshavin
…………RVP……BEdntner……….
I did not want to play Denilsong..but I dont think there is much choice..unless Diaby has fully recovered,,,he looked dead at the end of the last game.
I would have him on the bench if we need him.
Vela would also come on for Arsh second half.
This would save Arsh so he can play full 90 against Burnley.
RVP has got to play, he can be rested for the Burnley game.
March 3, 2009 at 15:40
Kelsey – It all depends on the Arsenal board doesn’t it. I’m not so sure we’d see a lot of good signings come in if AW was replaced. Either the money isn’t actually been made available of else we’ll get someone like Redknapp who just spends for the sake of it.
March 3, 2009 at 15:41
kelsey, i read somewhere that usmanov brought the 25% so that he could sell it at a higher value due the blocking stake stuff… could be bollocks but apparently he’s done it before and hes also done it lately due to the economic situation
March 3, 2009 at 15:42
steve
ade is lazy cunt but he is very gifted lazy cunt that blows hot cold for but there is no dought when on form will be night mare to evon the best defenders in the world.lets face he is arsenal player that has amjor drop in form in fact you tell one play this that shon for arsenal, sagna, clichy, fab, ade, toure, gallas, all are top players and all of being of them have had spot of form this season .
March 3, 2009 at 15:43
i think if wenger went then someone else might spend more than wenger, but we’d be in no position to compete with the likes of utd, chelsea, liverpool, city, in terms of spending. We still wouldn’t be signing the likes of torres, kaka, robinho etc, we wouldn’t be in that league
If wenger we sacked then the club would be in disarray and it’d probably spell a good couple of years not competing for anything having to start from scratch and rebuild etc, regardless of who we got in.
March 3, 2009 at 15:43
Steve – I share your sentiments. It never made sense to me that Wenger would create such a team like the invincibles and never have a problem buying experience and paying money and then bam – new stadium suddenly its this “youth project” and I don’t think if the board were willing to give him £30m for ONE player they’d sit idly by.
March 3, 2009 at 15:44
Team for Burnley.
Here I would shuffle because I would want my best players ready to take on Roma. I bring back Sagna &Diaby though because I rest them in the WBA game.
……………..Fab……………..
Sagna………Djouoru…Gallas(if fit)…..Gibbs
…..Ramsey………Diaby…………Merida….
……….Vela…….Bendter…….Arshavin….
Ade to comein the second half for Nick B to get some minutes in to sharpen up for roma.
I dont think Eddy or Theo would be back yet.
March 3, 2009 at 15:45
Anyone think Kroenke could takeover? Wouldn’t that pave the way for Dein to return as he is kind of involved with both Usmanov and Kroenke?? Am I right or wrong?
March 3, 2009 at 15:46
leon ade isn’t very gifted though. He’s a nightmare for defenders when he’s working hard, but he isn’t gifted so that he could come up with magic or still be world class when he’s working hard.
He can be a very very useful player because of his strength, power, pace, and when working hard those physical attributes can give defenders nightmares, but he isn’t naturally talented in terms of his technique or footballing brain
March 3, 2009 at 15:46
Against burnley I instruct Diaby to pace himself and attack less just break up plays and allow Rmasey Merida Vela bendter and Arsh to create.
March 3, 2009 at 15:48
March 3, 2009 at 15:48
Board has money
March 3, 2009 at 15:50
irish, kronke and dein don’t fancy each other anymore
March 3, 2009 at 15:50
Pedro
Are you about? Did you see my email?
March 3, 2009 at 15:51
irish, id love dein back as chairman under kronke… kronke has built everything from being a success and winning things.
dein parted company with usmanov to but i think kronke steers clear of him because h knows the board dont like him
March 3, 2009 at 15:52
No of us know the real answer, but I disagree with Geoff(help0 i think the highbury Flats are causing a short term problem,by that I mean maybe 2 to 3 years till the property market comes back. Why should they be the exception to all proper building companies are alll in the shite as of now.As for renting them out,I believe the flats are about 650/700k so a rental return wouldn’t be more than about 4%.
The board should have sold the land, and used the money gradually to replace our good players, and though no one really thought the world wide recession wouldn’t avalanche so quickly, this AW planning on youth may cost the club 30million in non qualification of CL.
Steve,i heard you met peaches the other day, and i appreciate what you said, cheers.
March 3, 2009 at 15:52
Duke – do they not?? Is that cos he threw his lot in with Usmanov?
March 3, 2009 at 15:53
AT – We could sell our jerseys at Walmart then
March 3, 2009 at 15:53
a
disagree i think is very gifted striker but i dont see him as playmaker i see as drogbar type player but not as good but has ability make somethoing out nothing and creat goal oportubuties for himself when playing at his best i just think he can be very wasteful and i think we could do with him right now he has not been at his best but which at arsenal has
March 3, 2009 at 15:54
I did kelsey and it was a lovely experience. No worries, just being honest.
She is a lovely lady, not what I was expecting at all:)
March 3, 2009 at 15:55
Yeap, and it’s because Kronke became part of the board, who in return told him nasty stories of Dein, and said if he want’s to be part of AFC he can’t be buddy buddy with Dein, not even offer him a light beer or whatever that piss they drink in the states is.
March 3, 2009 at 15:55
Kelsey – did you see the article on the flats yesterday? Apparently some rich Arab guy wanted to buy a number of the flats (a big number) but there is a problem with an Irish bank and repayments – I can find the article if you like?
March 3, 2009 at 15:55
irish lol! every little helps!!
i think he’ll be our owner long term anyway, once the board have orchestrated their big pay day
March 3, 2009 at 15:56
peaches, there was supposed to be a smiley face after that before you start telling me off.
March 3, 2009 at 15:56
i think he has the potential to be a very good forward leon, but not in our style of play, and not because he’s gifted.
We could do with him as we’re lacking goals, but in the long run once we get confidence as a team back and if we’ve got everyone fit even if he’s at his best i can’t see him starting regularly for us
March 3, 2009 at 15:56
Duke – ha ha you tell it well
March 3, 2009 at 15:57
AT – He doesn’t seem the worst in all honest. All long as its not Usmanov he’s a really dodgy character
March 3, 2009 at 16:02
……………..Fab……………..
Sagna………Djouoru…..Song…..Gibbs
…..Ramsey………Diaby…………Merida….
……….Vela…….Bendter…….Arshavin….
Gallas may still be out for Burnley.
March 3, 2009 at 16:02
Thanks irish, i would like to have a look at that article to be honest.
March 3, 2009 at 16:04
i reckon gallas will be rested for burnley anyways ja
Burnley i reckon we’ll have
……………..Fab……………..
Sagna………Djouoru…..Toure…..Gibbs
Arshavin…..Ramsey………Song…………Merida….
………….Vela…….Bendter……
March 3, 2009 at 16:04
Thanks Maqitlarge
March 3, 2009 at 16:04
irish, the main thing is that kronke has done it before in america and done by being successful, kinda like the glaziers at manure, plus he’s a sports fan where as usmanov is a fat man utd supporting criminal fuck
March 3, 2009 at 16:04
Then for Roma Away.
……………..Al………………
Sagna……..Kolo…..Gallas……Clichy
………..Denilson…..Diaby………..
Nasri……….RVP……………Bendt
…………..Ade……………………
March 3, 2009 at 16:05
A big split on DD on here and everywhere else.Yes he did sell his shares at a huge profit, but i often ask myself why ?he wasn’t excatly skint.Since DD left,AW has aged 15 years in 5,it’s a bit like Wise without Morecambe if you know what I mean.I would like him back if he had control of running the club, not necessarily the largest share holder..Remember he wanted to build the stadium at kings Cross,a more viable and cheaper option, though the Cl games at Wembley was a massive mistake.
irish, that would be interesting.the 2 big irish banks all tempted people in the UK to deposit their savings with them,as they were government backed for a year, and now the government are pooring billions of euros into these banks,to keep them afloat.
March 3, 2009 at 16:07
kelsey id love to have DD back because he’s arsenal all the way… we need someone with that passion to see the club succeed to drive it on, not these old men just mumbling away to themselves like the old drunk bloke from harry enfield and friends
March 3, 2009 at 16:10
I think we would do better with DD running things, but i also think we would do better with Usmanov as our owner. Dosen’t mean i want them or they should be part of the club.
March 3, 2009 at 16:10
Here is one on the Bank Of Ireland and Arsenal
http://www.independent.ie/business/european/arsenal-falls-out–of-bois-stadium-loan-1657700.html
March 3, 2009 at 16:11
Here’s the one about the deal for the flats
http://www.eufootball.biz/finance/6802-arsenal_reject_deal_highbury_development.html
March 3, 2009 at 16:12
steve you’re just too smooth
March 3, 2009 at 16:13
a
in the past i think you will find will have been 1 dimentional and he is perfect type of for areial attcks something we have not had before,we cant just pass the ball in net and we have to use airial attcks and set plays and there i sno dought he will be starting he clearly as the phsycal presence play as loan striker something rvp clearly is very good at,all other striker we have are all play makers and dont have the phsycal prresense to play as a loan striker except nikki b
March 3, 2009 at 16:13
Kelsey – There was uproar when banks in Ireland tried to get international customers after the government backed them. One guy had to resign after he sent letters out to British business people to get them to put their money into their bank. The Irish banks are screwed and it doesn’t help that the Bank of Ireland got robbed of over €7million at the weekend.
March 3, 2009 at 16:14
Anyone know where Pedro is? I might have a taker for the West Brom tickets unless they’ve already gone. Time is running out.
March 3, 2009 at 16:16
Don’t think Pedro has been on for hours Peaches
March 3, 2009 at 16:17
Irish thanks.
read them both, therefore I am not far off the mark. The flats are presently crippling our progress.
March 3, 2009 at 16:18
Kelsey – I’m not too sure how accurate either are but in this current economic climate one would tend to believe them.
March 3, 2009 at 16:18
Thanks irish, good read
March 3, 2009 at 16:19
Thanks Irish – I’ll ry and track him down
March 3, 2009 at 16:19

March 3, 2009 at 16:22
irish, the government guarantee of the irish banks was absolute bollox. The is no timescale or structure to repaying the customers so it’s not worth the paper it’s written on. The irish would need securitisation from the ECB who are in essence funded by the Germans and the French who are in major difficulties themselves. At least in England we have the government guilts and the ability to print more money if need be. Obviously they’d be at pains to do so as we could be the new Zimbabwe on the inflationary front.
March 3, 2009 at 16:22
Ha ha Cascarino’s an idiot – “There has been speculation surrounding Arsene Wenger’s future at the club and I have a sneaky feeling that something may happen at the end of this season. I certainly can’t see Arsenal winning anything, certainly not the Champions League. There’s no chance of Wenger being sacked though a new role perhaps overseeing everything at the club could be in order.”
Just pack it in Tony when things go against you eh Tony???
March 3, 2009 at 16:24
Steve – What you said hardly surprises me. The Irish government do something right ha ha about as much chance as Spurs winning the league mate. They wallowed in the good times and had not one plan for when it would go belly up.
March 3, 2009 at 16:24
Ok i just saw the it says prices from £325,000. Let’s be generous and say that it’s for a 1 bedroom 75sqm. Who would pay that today? Just sell to the Singapore chap and get on with it.
March 3, 2009 at 16:24
t.b.h i hope he is right get wenger on the board and bring in a new manager simple.
March 3, 2009 at 16:25
cascarino is a complete pratt – i remember reading his predictions at the start of last season – spurs gonna finish ahead of us, think he might’ve said the same this year!
March 3, 2009 at 16:26
They aren’t alone on that front irish.
March 3, 2009 at 16:27
Duke – Apparently there is a problem with the Irish Bank so they can’t accept the offer?? I dunno you have to ask people that know about that stuff
A – Cascarino didn’t even know what nationality he was LOL although he was useful for Ireland to lump the ball up to
March 3, 2009 at 16:27
time for wenger has run out,it’s time arsenal tried a new approach enough of this youth crap it’s getting us no where
March 3, 2009 at 16:28
I see Jade Goody is at it again, that girl is shameless. She has just signed yet another exclusive t.v deal. She has announced that she will be appearing in ‘most haunted’ sometime in early April.
March 3, 2009 at 16:28
Steve – you know what – i though Obama would be all nice and dandy, first black president and all that but he’s not messing around is he?? Seems very proactive
March 3, 2009 at 16:29
Agh Steve….
March 3, 2009 at 16:29
I like him irish, just a shame that he has an expected timescale of your average box of eggs.
March 3, 2009 at 16:29
irish, let’s take it in cash
March 3, 2009 at 16:32
Steve – yeah thats true, I like him too. He went very much up in my estimation when he outed his friend for not paying his taxes correctly and didn’t give him a government job.
Duke – LOL
March 3, 2009 at 16:36
Isnt Jade Goody expected to not be alive much longer? That cunt she married is gonna get everything and he isnt even related to her children!
March 3, 2009 at 16:38
I’m sure the money will be placed in trust for the children
March 3, 2009 at 16:40
That Max Rushden that does soccer am now is so fucking dull. Its amazing how anyone could be that dull! And im sure everyone there hates him too.
March 3, 2009 at 16:40
hi all…busy day.
Steve – just read your comment 4:28 lmao !!! you’re a bad man !!!
March 3, 2009 at 16:41
I don’t watch it anymore Stu. Lovejoy kept the show going (even though he is a Chav twat).
March 3, 2009 at 16:42
Wardo, i’m off to hell anyway. I may aswell enjoy myself.
March 3, 2009 at 16:42
Stu….I agree with you re soccer AM however, for some strange reason, I hated Andy Goldstein…….He was so much worse and thought cocking up his lines was funny even after 6 months of doing it all the time !!!
What d’ya think of Tim Lovejoy……..I like him but, he is Chelski
March 3, 2009 at 16:43
Steve…..me laughing might get me a one way ticket also
March 3, 2009 at 16:44
Shame he can’t hit a penalty!
March 3, 2009 at 16:45
I wasnt a bit Lovejoy fan because he was a bit of a cunt but at least he was funny.
The others are just as dull as shite.
March 3, 2009 at 16:47
hahahah chozzer, that video so went through my mind on sunday when he stepped up.
March 3, 2009 at 16:47
Stu…..I do like the way Ray Palour always has a good laugh AT Lovejoy……he always digs him out for what he said during the 2002 FA cup final
March 3, 2009 at 16:50
taxi for lovejoy chelsea cunt
March 3, 2009 at 16:50
Although i know what he said and what happened i havent actually ever heard that clip.
March 3, 2009 at 17:06
I have Stu….it funny. He was sitting in Fanzone with Brad Walsh……..he was giving it the right bigg’un til that point.
March 3, 2009 at 17:06
anyway….have good evening all…….c’mon you gunners
March 3, 2009 at 17:10
bye for now Wardo.
Anyone know if the match is on tv? or what time ko is at?
March 3, 2009 at 17:11
Maybe it’s time to call it a day and go home?
March 3, 2009 at 17:11
Stu – KO 7:45, not on TV
March 3, 2009 at 17:14
Stu – TAIG put up channels its on so you’ll have to try and get him online.
March 3, 2009 at 17:18
Did anyone see Football Matters last night? The arsenal fan was a joke. Insinuated Wenger would be “looking for Kids” and said Wenger should never go and all this. He even named Bendtner as our stand out shit player.
March 3, 2009 at 17:18
Can you get games like tonight on a feed?
March 3, 2009 at 17:20
What makes tomights game different to the others? Surely it would be available somewhere.
March 3, 2009 at 17:21
Pedro – scroll back up and TAIG left a list of channels the game is on so you’ll probably find a stream from somewhere.
P.S Peaches was looking for you about tickets
March 3, 2009 at 17:22

any links
i checked on tvu player
March 3, 2009 at 17:27
tonight is wenger’s last game incharge of arsenal anything other then 3 points will surely see him lose his job at arsenal—–ZZZZzzzz can you imagine
March 3, 2009 at 17:29
Wenger wont ever be fired unless something really dramastic happens.
March 3, 2009 at 17:31
wenger must have some dirt on the current board for them to let him get away with such shit results, he must of caught them having an orgy sniffing crack of eachothers backs
March 3, 2009 at 17:31
the press must think people are fucking stupid, a month ago real madrid were gonna nick him off us cos he was the best manager in the world, now we’re gonna sack him.
fucking hell
March 3, 2009 at 17:33
AT – We’re going to sack him??? I thought he was off to Man City LOL
March 3, 2009 at 17:34
The media know fuck all. They get so many things wrong and make up almost everything.
March 3, 2009 at 17:34
Just checked TV, the dumb Danish dicks are showing the Chavs and the Bindippers. Not a Gunner in sight.
It will be a feed tonight. Crap, crap and crap again
March 3, 2009 at 17:35
Hi BR – Did you see my Liam Brady article?? – you got a mention
March 3, 2009 at 17:35
What would Madrid do with Diarra Jr. when De La Red and Diarra Sr. are fit? Surely he wouldn’t move again? And they won’t get anywhere close to the 22 Million they paid for him.
March 3, 2009 at 17:36
And Gago too. Diarra will move to Valencia, then to Malaga and eventually move to…..Germany?
March 3, 2009 at 17:37
See you boys later (and girls :$)
Up the Gunners
March 3, 2009 at 17:38
Bye Duke…….
March 3, 2009 at 17:38
what i reckon they would do is bring in wenger sell all there experianced players and win fuck all each season sounds like the wenger way to me
March 3, 2009 at 17:39
Laters Duke
March 3, 2009 at 17:41
Yes I did Irish. Good article.
March 3, 2009 at 17:42
lol of course we wouldn’t sack the most successful manager in the clubs history! the press are hilarious at times!
i liked you article on the mail irish, you a professional journalist then??
March 3, 2009 at 17:42
Glad you like BR – cheers for the info, it added something a little extra to it
March 3, 2009 at 17:43
If Diarra Snr comes available, I would love us to buy him, he is an awesome player. And very attractive to AW, seeing as he is coming back from a serious injury!
I just can’t see YaYa leaving Barca – he is having a great season.
March 3, 2009 at 17:43
A – cheers. No
but trying
darn this awful recession
March 3, 2009 at 17:47
ah well! do you get paid for those articles you write?
raddy i can see yaya being surplus to requirements by next season. They rate busquets incredibly highly and by next season he’ll be developed enough to start game in game out. With the extent to which they’re biased towards home grown players with any talent at all i can’t see yaya getting many games next year.
i wouldn’t mind older diarra though
March 3, 2009 at 17:47
maybe we’ll sack then he’ll join them!?!
March 3, 2009 at 17:47
Stick at it Irish, eventually the break will come.
This recession is causing even highly experienced, Professionals to lose sleep (and clients). I am losing punters as though I had the Black Plague !
March 3, 2009 at 17:47
Diarra is one big fucker. He wins everything thrown in his direction in the air! I would say he is a beast but i wont because i dont want to “upset” anyone so…
March 3, 2009 at 17:49
AT. You have been reading too much of BBK !
March 3, 2009 at 17:49
lol Stu
March 3, 2009 at 17:49
In terms of attacking centre mids i wouldnt mind Lucho from Porto. Dont know much about him but if he played for Argentina and is the Porto captain then he cant be that bad.
March 3, 2009 at 17:50
Evening grovers, Denilson is here!
March 3, 2009 at 17:50
can’t see us signing an attacking centre mid at all stu – gonna be after dm and centre back and that’s it i’d imagine, unless there are any significant sales
March 3, 2009 at 17:51
A – nah don’t get paid for them but its good to get feedback on them.
BR – Yep its having a huge effect on everyone. I’ve only me to look after so I’m not too bad, its people with families and mortgages I feel sorry for.
March 3, 2009 at 17:51
Alright if I call you Denny instead of Denilson? Thanks
March 3, 2009 at 17:52
I cant see it either A but just putting it out there.
March 3, 2009 at 17:52
AT – Arsenal will never ever sack Wenger, it’d be like United sacking Ferguson. If he were to leave before the end of his contract it would be stated that it was “mutual consent – Arsene wanted a new challenge and Arsenal felt the need to freshen things up” or something like that.
March 3, 2009 at 17:54
you don’t feel sorry for graduates who can’t find employment and are forced to go back and live at home irish?!
my mate writes articles for a website that pays per word for articles they publish, though i don’t think they pay much, you could send same articles to them though irish get a bit of pay for your work?
March 3, 2009 at 17:55
Isn’t Real’s Diarra a DM ? And a big unit to boot.
March 3, 2009 at 17:56
i know he wont go, it just makes me laugh what the press think they can get away with… how is making u lies a job?
March 3, 2009 at 17:56
yeah irish, and when a manager has been at a club that long, and instilled a specific philosophy throughout the club, it’s very difficult to replace him. When wenger goes we need to either bring someone in and groom him as wenger’s replacement, to carry on in the same sort of way, or we’ll need someone to come in and start afresh, and accept there’ll be a good couple of seasons before we get back on our feet.
March 3, 2009 at 17:58
A- LOL that’s me, back home in the sticks with the parents
What site is that if I may ask?
AT – Thats funny – did you see the one about Barcelona offering £20mil for Eboue last week?? A guy on the site I write on made it up for the laugh of it
March 3, 2009 at 17:59
Made me a living AT. I tell people they are not delusional, they just see things from a different, and unique perspective !!
Total bullshit, but hey, the truth hurts …
March 3, 2009 at 18:00
raddy… yeah he’s a tank mate
March 3, 2009 at 18:00
A – yeah it has to be a smooth transition whether its in Wenger’s mould or not. Look at what happened when Chelsea sacked Mourinho – nasty and messy and they still aren’t over it.
March 3, 2009 at 18:00
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mahamadou_Diarra
Big raddy..there is Diarra’s Wiki page
It says he is 6 feet but i have seen him he looks a lil taller than that maybe 6′ 1″ ..he would be a good buy until Denilson Diaby and so on mature.
He would be very good as long as he manage the pace of the PL.
March 3, 2009 at 18:02
and u get a pass on the making up bullshit as ur a gooner.
March 3, 2009 at 18:03
But then again there is the African cup of nations…but I am not so sure if Mali will be involved.
March 3, 2009 at 18:03
anyway, im off now, take it easy people.
come on you reds
March 3, 2009 at 18:03
http://www.dailysoccerblog.net/
lol i thought you were older than that irish, how old are you?? i graduated in july and still not found myself a proper job – gonna be a bazillion more graduates to compete with very soon as well, it’s a nightmare!
sorry took a while to find that website, i was planning to see if i could produce articles they’d pay me for but never got round to it
March 3, 2009 at 18:06
A – I’m 23, five years of college down and now sitting at home, boring
had a job up til christmas but nothing since
March 3, 2009 at 18:07
Common Ja_Gunner, I’m mature already!
March 3, 2009 at 18:11
know exactly how you feel, i was meant to be off doing a ski season from december but cancelled at the last minute and not got myself anything else yet. Was gonna become a medical testing guinee pig to pass the time but was rejected from that!
that website pays people for what it considers quality articles, not a massive amount but gives a bit of spending money, and pays for people to do live commentary on matches etc
March 3, 2009 at 18:14
nothing like being 23 and moving back home after 4-5 years of school…
March 3, 2009 at 18:15
try 24 and 6 years of uni!
March 3, 2009 at 18:16
hahaha, I feel you. I am there with you, considering taking the lsat for law school.
March 3, 2009 at 18:16
Try half a year of uni and still living at home! Although it would have been a waste of money to move out. Cant be throwing money away in a fecking recession, right!!
March 3, 2009 at 18:16
A- yep I checked it out, funny thing is it says if you want to write “wishy washy” articles go join Bleacher Report which is the one I’m on
I don’t write too much though, I’ve been on it for 6 months and have only done 79 articles. There are some people that just cut and paste from BBC and put a few words around it and call it an article.
I’ll send them guys an e-mail tomorrow see if they might pay me a few bob.
March 3, 2009 at 18:19
Stu – would be pretty pointless of you to move. Must be easy for you getting to UL – two buses
March 3, 2009 at 18:19
you all in london? A, stu, irish?
March 3, 2009 at 18:20
So it is all students on here at the moment !
I finish in June. Not happy about it – I have been a mature student for almost 10 years, and am not ready for a return to the workplace. Have to see if I can persuade someone to pay for another course !
March 3, 2009 at 18:21
Joaquin – nah myself and Stu are in Limerick, Ireland
March 3, 2009 at 18:22
BR – I was offered the opportunity to do a doctorate (if I could find the money) in the summer but turned it down cos my head was sore and tired from doing my masters thesis – kinda regret it now.
March 3, 2009 at 18:23
I bike it most of the time. When it isnt pissing out.
Which strangly enough it hasnt rained a lot recently (apart from today)
Bus fair adds up. Cant be wasting money now can I.
March 3, 2009 at 18:23
ah, you ever able to make it down to the emirates for a match? I have only been to highbury. Haven’t been back to England since it opened.
March 3, 2009 at 18:25
I’ve only ben to each once apiece…unofrtunately. Hoping to go next season or in the summer. Fingers crossed eh!
March 3, 2009 at 18:25
*been
March 3, 2009 at 18:26
Stu – ha ha I used to do the same – only used to use the bus when it was raining
March 3, 2009 at 18:27
this year has been my first time going – been to Wigan and Bolton and going to the Burnley match on Sunday
March 3, 2009 at 18:28
no matches for me, only been able to come during the summer while off from school. A bit of a trip from LA…
March 3, 2009 at 18:28
Kind of a bad time to be going but enjoy it anyway. Luck of the Irish and all that stuff. Fecking stereotypings!!! I have no fecking luck ever!!
March 3, 2009 at 18:29
Irish, I am very jealous.
March 3, 2009 at 18:31
Im off for a while. I’ll be back before KO looking for a working link. Be back soon……….
March 3, 2009 at 18:31
ha ha yeah bit of a long trip for you, it is cheap for me thanks to cheap ryanair flights €35 return
Stu – the two games I went to so far Gallas has been injured and we’ve won them 1-0 while not playing particularly well….eeeem three in a row??
March 3, 2009 at 18:32
See ya Stu
March 3, 2009 at 18:33
Irish – you’d better be bringing us bucket loads of luck. And I’m relying on you to text me cos I’m gonna be at my Grandmas 100th birthday party – nowhere near a tv!!!!!!!!
March 3, 2009 at 18:33
I moved out at 16, 4 years uni, now 2 years of working but haven’t moved back home yet.
March 3, 2009 at 18:36
Peaches – ha ha I will do, regular updates I’ve my mobile credit well topped up
March 3, 2009 at 18:37
You wouldnt need credit if you had free texts.
Now im really leaving.
March 3, 2009 at 18:38
Stu – i do have free texts but not to english numbers your smart arse
March 3, 2009 at 18:47
when i lookat west rom and hwo wide open they are they dont close down and i think they taylor maid for to get the strikers confedence back i think we should 3-0
March 3, 2009 at 18:49
I’m off – C’MON ARSENAL 3 points tonight
March 3, 2009 at 19:02
So its 100% certain Bellamy and Robinho out
March 3, 2009 at 19:04
van persie on the bench
March 3, 2009 at 19:05
whats the team? all i know is vp on bench??
March 3, 2009 at 19:10
Bends and Ade perhaps?
March 3, 2009 at 19:11
The weather is dreadful up here in the black country, come on arsenal 3 points please. I hope Robins not on the bench his goals are needed,
March 3, 2009 at 19:11
nah ade is only a slight chance of being back for the burnley game pedro
March 3, 2009 at 19:12
Can someone post the team up when its announced.
March 3, 2009 at 19:12
Hmmmm…
EBoue den and song?
Well… that isn’t impressive is it?
March 3, 2009 at 19:13
almunia
sagna–toure–djour–clichy
——-denilson–song——
eboue——nasri——-arshavin
———bendtner———–
March 3, 2009 at 19:13
Sagna Toure JD Clichy
Eboue Denilsom song Nasri
Arshavin Bendnter
March 3, 2009 at 19:13
Arsh and Bends up front
Djourou in for kolo
The crab midfield plus Nasri…
March 3, 2009 at 19:14
Arshavin and Bednntner up front RVP rested ?
March 3, 2009 at 19:14
either that or arshavin up front.
i would’ve liked vela up top with bendtner but nevermind, still strong team. Anyone know of a good stream for it yet??
March 3, 2009 at 19:14
Bollocks im soaked through and I have to watch Eboue, song and denilson. This could be painful
March 3, 2009 at 19:15
i dont like it, but i was excited about saturday’s hope they can surprise.
March 3, 2009 at 19:16
i think eboue could be useful in a game like this. bit of directness and power and pace
March 3, 2009 at 19:16
I don’t get it… why that team?
It has to go right at some point… but it doesn’t prove anything does it?
Was Vela really that bad this weekend? Couldn’t Rambo do a better job out right?
It’s fucking WBA and we’re lining up negatively…
March 3, 2009 at 19:17
A- listen to yourself, it has become so dire we even say that this may be a good game for eboue. I pray for the day we never have to say that again.
March 3, 2009 at 19:18
any links?
March 3, 2009 at 19:18
wouldn’t say it’s that negative pedro?? the only negative aspect is song in for diaby, and with diaby only just back from injury 2 games in 3 days prob bit much for him. Likewise vp too tired to start.
Eboue has been better out wide than vela in the last couple of games.
Eboue has pace and power and direct running, which against a technical slow midfield could be very useful, i like the team
March 3, 2009 at 19:19
A… direct, pacey and powerful… no good if it has no end product… is it?
I know who I’d have in there…
I understand Arsh up front… he was fucked after 60 on the wing…
March 3, 2009 at 19:20
Denilson, Song and Eboue in the Same midfield.
AAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Wasn’t quite what I was hoping for.
Wenger you better have got this right, we have been given a lifeline, and I pray you havent just fucked it up with that negative line up. Get ready for 90mins of Crab-Ball
March 3, 2009 at 19:20
A… it all becomes a bit sad when you’re excited about that midfield!
I’ll be interested to see how Bends and Arsh play… that is interesting. Those two are chalk and cheese…
March 3, 2009 at 19:21
geez…what crap selection once again
he keeps banging his head against the wall
March 3, 2009 at 19:21
who would you have in there pedro?
i have money on eboue to score today, had a feeling and hope it’s a game that’ll suit him!
March 3, 2009 at 19:22
Yeah
Eboue makes great runs but they are gumpesque, there is no end product at the end of the run
Eboue Run = gain 50 yards then give ball to Opposition. I actually think he would be quite good at Rugby
March 3, 2009 at 19:23
im not excited about it, just think it could work well today, and think it’s the best team we could have put out!
bendtner and arshavin against sunderland a couple of times seemed to be on the same wavelength and linked up well together. Will be interesting to see if he’s actually up front with bendtner
March 3, 2009 at 19:23
Well, as games go… WBA would suit him… they are crap.
I’d have Rambo or Vela in there…
We really don’t need to have a tight defensive unit against WBA.
Boring team… it’s like having Rafa as your manager… or Mourinho…
March 3, 2009 at 19:24
A… I swear you say that every game.
March 3, 2009 at 19:25
Still, I’m not going to argue this point today… the flood gates have to open at some point regardless of who we start…
Today will be that day.
March 3, 2009 at 19:25
any streaming?
March 3, 2009 at 19:26
I got so much respect for wenger and his faith in players. No matter what they d wrong he sticks by them. And i repsect that.
March 3, 2009 at 19:26
why did you say that pedro?! no predictions from anyone!!!! we’ve all been predicting that for ages and it hasn’t happened
March 3, 2009 at 19:26
yeah guys, anyone got that iraqi goal link
March 3, 2009 at 19:27
I pray you are right pedro. no 90 today for arsh. vela in on 60 for him if we are winning, if the game is in the balance still rvp instead
March 3, 2009 at 19:27
Pedro, All I will say is that it has been pissing it down all day in the midlands today, so it might not be a game for pace. Not sure what state the pitch will be in
March 3, 2009 at 19:27
is that where it’ll be shown today?
i’ve got starsports on sopcast going, showing the england rugby game at the moment though
March 3, 2009 at 19:28
Peter Sutcliffes mum used to have faith in her son even after she knew what he did… do you have respect for her faith as well?
March 3, 2009 at 19:29
http://www.iraqgoals.com/ en/ch4.html
March 3, 2009 at 19:29
Yeah I am on the Sopcast link that had the Rugby on. Not sure if the Commentary will be in English but the picture is spot on

March 3, 2009 at 19:31
Leon, why not? He’s 19 years old… I reckon he could handle it.
March 3, 2009 at 19:31
Arsenal: Almunia, Sagna, Toure, Djourou, Clichy, Arshavin, Denilson, Diaby, Nasri, Van Persie, Vela
March 3, 2009 at 19:31
lansbury and gavin hoyte starting for their loan teams
is traore injured?
March 3, 2009 at 19:31
We didn’t need two defensive midfielders against west brom … why not eboue-denilson-nasri-vela
or
eboue—-denilson—-nasri
—arshavin—-vela——
———bendtner——
March 3, 2009 at 19:31
English Commentary….Fucking Superb
March 3, 2009 at 19:32
Laughable selection.
I hope Wenger’s fired immediately after the game, if we don’t win.
Prick.
March 3, 2009 at 19:32
A 0-0 today will be a top flight record!!!!!!!
Fuck Please no.
March 3, 2009 at 19:33
I can’t find a stream…
March 3, 2009 at 19:33
pedro he was pants against fulham though, and sunderland, and eboue was better than him in both games!
lets just get optimistic and up for the game rather than starting slagging selection/players off before games even kicked off!!
March 3, 2009 at 19:33

DAMM RIGHT PEDRO HE IS FIT AS A FIDDLE AND WILL GET BETTER.
March 3, 2009 at 19:34
http://www.justin.tv/afc_live
A, he was great in the first half… he created plenty and he was direct, he crossed… he might not be powerful, but I prefer him to Eboue.
I’ll get my happy face on and enjoy the mauling we are about to dish out.
March 3, 2009 at 19:34
Get Sopcast installed Pedro, the Stream is very good today
March 3, 2009 at 19:35
3 rookies and eboue in midfield..oh boy
March 3, 2009 at 19:35

The older versions of Sopcast used to be a bit flakey, but had no problems with this one.
March 3, 2009 at 19:37

March 3, 2009 at 19:37
ah ok, fair dos pedro, i’ve got a pretty decent stream with sopcast so i can’t help you then! if you’ve got decent antivirus/spyware sopcast shouldn’t be too much of a threat? though i can’t take responsibility if it did!
March 3, 2009 at 19:40
0-0 coming up!
March 3, 2009 at 19:42
lol @ jimbo. pathetic line up from wenger really.
March 3, 2009 at 19:42
Will it be Villa players ball-juggling in the Premier League opening titles next season instead of ours…
March 3, 2009 at 19:43
Arsenal’s net spend over the last 5 years is £1.2 million… what a joke…
March 3, 2009 at 19:43
We’re gonna win 4-0 and Wenger will say “I wish we could split those 4 goals into four x 1-0 instead”
March 3, 2009 at 19:44
nice and positive posts there lads
March 3, 2009 at 19:44

March 3, 2009 at 19:48
West Brom have been playing well without getting results, I think they might do us tonight, especially with some of the mongs we have lining up in the starting eleven.
March 3, 2009 at 19:48
Good noise from the away fans!
March 3, 2009 at 19:48
Well my predictions went to shit in the last 3 games….I went for comfortable Arsenal wins…so
We will lose 5-0, key players will be injured and Eboue will be sent off for a second yellow where one of his runs goes unchallenged and he runs with the ball straight off the end of the pitch down the tunnel and out into the car park
Come on ARSENAL.
March 3, 2009 at 19:48
Looks like wenger is calling the AA to assist the broken down van.
March 3, 2009 at 19:48

we had better win lol
March 3, 2009 at 19:58
Anyone have a link??
March 3, 2009 at 19:59
it was Eboue!!
March 3, 2009 at 19:59
djourou gave away a clumsy freekick
the ball went through the wall when eboue moved
March 3, 2009 at 19:59
New plan: pass it to the Russian
March 3, 2009 at 20:00
OH MY GOD…………………………………….
March 3, 2009 at 20:00
http://www.iraqgoals.com/en/ch4.html is the best i have found
March 3, 2009 at 20:01
Should have been 2-1
March 3, 2009 at 20:01
bendtner hw can u miss that
eboue wtf was that
March 3, 2009 at 20:01
Song’s positioning is awful. Him and Denilson go for the same ball in the corner, West Brom pass it to the middle defence is exposed JD concedes free kick, ball goes through an amateurish wall and its 1-1 again. Pathetic all round. Its beyond a joke.
March 3, 2009 at 20:01
my god that shot from eboue was quality entertainment
you can just see the composure drain from him as nears the edge of the area
March 3, 2009 at 20:02
Eboue cant even strike a ball properly yet wenger gives him 40kpw. he is a cunt and a retard.
March 3, 2009 at 20:02
please say bendter knew he was off side
March 3, 2009 at 20:03
hahaha, nice gambon
March 3, 2009 at 20:03
Sopcast doing an arsenal….
March 3, 2009 at 20:03
Bedtner has to give us another customary shocking miss….What was the wall doing?
March 3, 2009 at 20:03
link that doesnt stutter anyone?
March 3, 2009 at 20:03
anyone wanna tell me the team lineup?
March 3, 2009 at 20:04
Someone get Eboue off pls
March 3, 2009 at 20:04
Eboue is a fucking retard!!!
March 3, 2009 at 20:04
eboue must be glad right now we play away
March 3, 2009 at 20:04
Eboue cant shoot 4 shit. Fuckin hell!
March 3, 2009 at 20:04
Get song of the pitch
March 3, 2009 at 20:05
worst volley ever
March 3, 2009 at 20:05
Is there cause for some concern here people?
West Brom are enjoying some possession here.
March 3, 2009 at 20:05
Fuck Me Eboue
I really cant believe Wenger plays him in the MIdfield
It is fucking so wrong,
March 3, 2009 at 20:05
Arsene has really lost it. wtf is eboue doing in the side
March 3, 2009 at 20:05
Eboue shoots like a makeshift Right Back
March 3, 2009 at 20:05
Another bad challenge by JD…
March 3, 2009 at 20:05
OH my god!!!! Jones is fucking useless. Way worse than Adebayor!! Horror miss!
March 3, 2009 at 20:06
djourou has had a shoocking start also
March 3, 2009 at 20:06
hahahah, thats up there with Eboue. NIce shot wanker
March 3, 2009 at 20:06
No David,
We are getting the possesion ok, and getting in some good shooting positions, unfortunately it is Eboue on the end of it, and it was more Harlequins than Arsenal.
March 3, 2009 at 20:07
Arshavin is playing like an injured man…he’s limping up and down the pitch …its the 20th minute ffs.
March 3, 2009 at 20:07
Arshavin is way off the pace in this game so far.
March 3, 2009 at 20:07
How is everyone watching it??? besides shitty iraq goals
March 3, 2009 at 20:07
Why is Eboue playing Central?
March 3, 2009 at 20:07
oh i cant handle “all about eboue” he already is the talk of the game
March 3, 2009 at 20:07
People are still refusing to pass the ball to Arshavin…
March 3, 2009 at 20:08
http://www.ustream.tv/channel/542674 Not sure if its any better than iraq goals
March 3, 2009 at 20:08
Its no suprise we are fucking drawing. Both teams play the same game but they have arguably better players. We have Eboue and Song, they have Morrison and Valero. No contest really!
March 3, 2009 at 20:08
I backed Bendtner for a hatric earlier today
I think he will prove me right
March 3, 2009 at 20:08
Arshavin must be wondering what he has done to deserve playing with dire players like EE, Denilson, Bendtner & Song.
Come to think of it what have we done to deserve this team.
March 3, 2009 at 20:08
am watching it on tvu player
March 3, 2009 at 20:09
this game is so boring, we cant keep the ball more than 4 passes
March 3, 2009 at 20:09
that is why we should have signed him earlier if we signed him by the 2nd week in jan he wld have attained a higher level of fitness
March 3, 2009 at 20:10
Would you go into the trenches with our players by your side? I wouldn’t, bunch of spineless clueless babies. There isn’t a leader out there, apart from maybe Kolo.
March 3, 2009 at 20:10
What is the world coming to when Song is playing CF
March 3, 2009 at 20:10
Thanks redallover. Better than any other link i’ve tried.
Whats the line-up???? Anyone???
March 3, 2009 at 20:11
Denilson is playing well
March 3, 2009 at 20:11
come on arshavin, i am praying for a euro 2008 performance against the dutch
March 3, 2009 at 20:11
i cant believe i got up at 5am to watch this shit
March 3, 2009 at 20:12
i honestly think
eboue should be captain
March 3, 2009 at 20:12
How many times have you said that in the last month Rob
March 3, 2009 at 20:12
i cannot see what Wenger sees in Song, he breaks up any move in midfield, ours not theirs, he’s a useless cunt.
March 3, 2009 at 20:12
This is what Happns when Our Idiot Manager Benches Players that Are on form….JD’s Defending has been shocking So far.
March 3, 2009 at 20:12
stu arshavin, nasri, shit, shit, shit, shit, shit, shit, shit, shit, shit
March 3, 2009 at 20:12
stu,

nasri denislson song crapboue
AA bendtner
March 3, 2009 at 20:13
I wouldadvice you to go back to bed Rob, but you should never go to be angry!!
Now my fucking link is gone! Dont know whether thats a god or bad thing!
March 3, 2009 at 20:13
cheers redallover
March 3, 2009 at 20:13
thats the line up stu
March 3, 2009 at 20:13
pat,
1, because i have got up at 2 & 3am the other times
March 3, 2009 at 20:14
David who has he benched for jd?
March 3, 2009 at 20:14
Alex song is shit
March 3, 2009 at 20:14
i hear you Rob, it’s a fucking effort to sit through a whole game these days, in fact a whole half is torture. No anticipation, no interplay, no drive, no cutting edge, no point.
Apart from that we’re brilliant of course.
March 3, 2009 at 20:14
I cant believe we are playing 4-5-1 against the worst team “statistically) in the prem this season. Proof that Wenger has lost the plot. And thats not an over reaction!! I mean Arshavin should be at right midfield. Why else buy him if not to keep Eboue out of the team!!
March 3, 2009 at 20:15
i got the game on tvu player
i honestly feel like switching it off and watch heroes
March 3, 2009 at 20:15
Kingsley
JD and Gallas pairing was unstoppable imo…but he benched Kolo for JD…and JD’s having a shocker.
March 3, 2009 at 20:16
Time to Bring in Ramsey for Song! ASAP!
March 3, 2009 at 20:16
i honestly wanna go back to bed
March 3, 2009 at 20:16
Gallas is injured
March 3, 2009 at 20:16
bendtner believers well… keep believing what else can i say
March 3, 2009 at 20:16
Thanks for the line ups.
Franchise, i thought it was something like that alright. I expected shit to be playing there.
March 3, 2009 at 20:17
alex song believers see a psychiatrist
March 3, 2009 at 20:17
Geoff
Song is getting forward. His selection is a disgrace. Wenger continues to play this dumb fuck.
He shat himself in the wall, result goal. He has the touch of an elephant, & is slow to react.
If Song was lonaed out to another PL team he would not get 1st IX team selection, but Wenger continues to play him.
March 3, 2009 at 20:17
Song losses it again.
March 3, 2009 at 20:17
pat
What were you saying about possession again?
March 3, 2009 at 20:17
I’m actually sat here wondering if that cunt Jenas would do a better job in midfield than Song… that says it all for me, how far have we fallen
March 3, 2009 at 20:17
We get it…Song is shit. No point repeating it over and over and over and over again.
March 3, 2009 at 20:18
Watching Arsenal would make anyone want to commit murder! Anyone!! Even the fecking Pope!
March 3, 2009 at 20:18
God this is really bad
Ok we drew 0-0 at the weekend, but I did see some real promise in the football we were playing and the chances we were creating. I can actually see us losing this.
If you did not know a lot about English Football, you would not know who was the higher placed team with the supposed better players.
March 3, 2009 at 20:18
I am absolutely dumb founded by the team selections.
He obviously picks song as a DM, but check the turd running forward getting in the way.
March 3, 2009 at 20:19
WHAT THE FUK IS BENTDER DOING????
March 3, 2009 at 20:19
gg9, thats a little harsh dont you think?……
March 3, 2009 at 20:19
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
You cant say this team has the so called “desire” To win games, look at the hussle for the ball, and the shit passing. So dont use that excuse AW u cocksucker
March 3, 2009 at 20:19
60 mins …Vela for Song, and Nasri moves central
March 3, 2009 at 20:19
Arsenal players are not passing to Arshavin because he makes them look shit…..
March 3, 2009 at 20:19
all denilson’s forward passes have been to a brummie
March 3, 2009 at 20:19
this is fuckin painful
March 3, 2009 at 20:20
This is seriously painful. What has happened to this team. Has the whole world gone crazy?
Song should be subbed.
He is pathetic! He is without a doubt retarded. He even looks that way.
Why do I bother with this lot?
March 3, 2009 at 20:20
I just don’t understand why Rambo couldn’t play outwider… or in the middle?
He had one bad game against his home town club… now he can’t get a sniff?
March 3, 2009 at 20:20
……..i mean, im sure an elephant wouldnt be happy being compared to Song after all.
March 3, 2009 at 20:20
AS i said…>Wtf is Bendtner doing????
March 3, 2009 at 20:21
honestly if i was an arsenal player
and u see shit like song and eboue playing in training and getting a first team squad
u would be de-motivated
March 3, 2009 at 20:21
More than Arshavin David…
March 3, 2009 at 20:21
shit, this team looks out of shorts in all places. its……..horrible. no one looks remotely interested in the game. :@
and wtf was eboue doing. I blame the WBA goal solely on Eboue. Eboue is shite except at right back. Why does wenger keep playing him as an attacking option from midfield. he’s got no skill.
need some big changes at halftime. if we play like this, Arsenal ain’t qualifying for CL. Its hard watching this game. defending is shite as is the attacking.
March 3, 2009 at 20:21
Arsenal are not passing to Arshavin as they dont have the ability to pass the ball forward to a team mate.
March 3, 2009 at 20:21
O Jesus…this is terrible.
March 3, 2009 at 20:22
this is the mediocre show david what are u expecting to see
March 3, 2009 at 20:22
I think Ever since Clichy got that Knock on his head he’s not been the same player.
March 3, 2009 at 20:22
My stream is good… at least I can be disappointed with a good picture!
March 3, 2009 at 20:23
If Arsene has got any balls he will change this soon, it is not working.
March 3, 2009 at 20:23
Champions League, were having a laugh
March 3, 2009 at 20:23
thsi is so fucking annoying! i’d rather watch the A-league at the moment. and thast fucking bad
March 3, 2009 at 20:24
even crap like wba think they have a chance to beat us
this the difference teams have a chance
March 3, 2009 at 20:24
Wenger talks about how teams come to the Emerates and defend. Well, what the hell is the team doing in this game? This is the worst team I’ve ever seem from Wenger!!
March 3, 2009 at 20:25
cant watch the match online…University network doeasnt allow streaming after 8. doeasn’t sound like I’m missing anything though…

March 3, 2009 at 20:27
Our overall performance lately befits a mid-table team – incapable of taking control of a game, inconsistent….
KOLOOOO
…as I was saying… you just never know what we are going to do from one game to the next, none of us can truly be confident about any games anymore.
The worry is that we actually end up mid table.
March 3, 2009 at 20:27
what are you watching it on Pedro
March 3, 2009 at 20:27
west brom are hopeless to be fair they only spent 2million net. tony mowbray can be proud
March 3, 2009 at 20:28
he was so fucking cool aswell, none of this mile long run up stuff like RVP he just walked up and kicked it
March 3, 2009 at 20:28
Don’t even care. This is still all sorts of shit.
March 3, 2009 at 20:28
Well done Arshavin though. Too good for this lot.
March 3, 2009 at 20:29
To see West Brom Attack my Team like this and Create chances….the worst team in the League headed for Relegation..it burns my soul
March 3, 2009 at 20:29
Yea it would be nice to see AA take all the free kicks, but Robin would have a cry if he couldnt take em all
March 3, 2009 at 20:29
Proper player. Proper cross. Proper goal. You can only buy that kind off quality and its costs £££millions.
I’ve said it before when wenger spends he buys decent players:
Nasri, Eduardo, Sagna, Arsh.
He doesnt spend enough!!
March 3, 2009 at 20:29
arsene is a fucking risk taker
with all the injuries he still only signed arshavin in january
March 3, 2009 at 20:29
It is shit Gus,
But I will take any win tonight, no matter how shit we play. especially with who is playing
March 3, 2009 at 20:30
O MY!
March 3, 2009 at 20:30
Great goal!
March 3, 2009 at 20:30
I think I’m the most fouled player in the league period!
March 3, 2009 at 20:31
Nice goal niki you fairy!!!
March 3, 2009 at 20:31
Arshavin though is used to being the person everyone turns to, to do something. For Russia and Zenit.
I can’t wait for Arshavin, Cesc, Rosicky
March 3, 2009 at 20:31
Well DONE BENDTNER!!! I FULLY EXPECTED HIM TO MISS IT!
March 3, 2009 at 20:31
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Pedro,
You get the credit u deserve for backing Bendtner
March 3, 2009 at 20:31
bendtnerrrrrrrrrrrrrr
March 3, 2009 at 20:31
My stream is dead any other working links?
March 3, 2009 at 20:31
Goal!
March 3, 2009 at 20:31
Now that is class by Little Nicky
March 3, 2009 at 20:31
Denilson is playing superb
March 3, 2009 at 20:32
yasss
March 3, 2009 at 20:32
wow, that was a good pass from toure and a great finish from bendtner, WBA defense shite.
March 3, 2009 at 20:32
OOH THAT IS A PEACH
Finally something to get excited about!!
Albeit thanks to customary pathetic defending from West Brom, maybe they will give us that lift we needed after all
March 3, 2009 at 20:32
if only we played west brom every week bendtner would have a future
March 3, 2009 at 20:32
YESSSSSSSSSSS
Great Finish Nic
This is the worst we have played in any of the last three games and we have scored 3 fucking goals
March 3, 2009 at 20:32
David… I’d love to read your complaints about his today…
March 3, 2009 at 20:32
Bendtner is fucking brilliant but since my stream has been down for about 10minutes i cant see a fucking thing!
March 3, 2009 at 20:32
Glad for nikki B, hes a good guy.
March 3, 2009 at 20:32
who set up bendtner, hope it was arshavin
March 3, 2009 at 20:32
Some on here. Top one working for me
http://livetv.ru/pl/eventinfo/20292/
March 3, 2009 at 20:33
Stu try: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/542674
March 3, 2009 at 20:33
stu
my steam is 5 mins slow
March 3, 2009 at 20:34
Has anyone mentioned that Eboue is useless???
March 3, 2009 at 20:34
Pedro
West Brom = Shocking Defending = Bendtner 2 goals + customary shocking miss
March 3, 2009 at 20:34
until we guaranteed 4th position im containing my excitement
when are villa playing?
March 3, 2009 at 20:34
What about Song…absolutely brilliant. Good distrubution of the ball + amazing work ethics..TOP NOTCH SO FAR..Realy looking forward to the 2nd half..
March 3, 2009 at 20:35
Good evening CHAPPS.. spent 45 mins trying to work my stream n thought fuck it.. u guys are great goal alerts. keep it up..!
5-2 to the arsenal
if any1 can pass a workin stream this way i would be one happy chappyy…
March 3, 2009 at 20:35
A LINK that works anyone please
March 3, 2009 at 20:36
the 2nd goal by bendtner was something i must admit
shock defending u say david but the ‘kid’ still had it all to do and he did it
March 3, 2009 at 20:37
i love it when arshavin is running with the ball, so quick feet and acceleration
March 3, 2009 at 20:37
Franchise, Villa play Man City tomorrow but Robinho and Bellamy are out for City.
March 3, 2009 at 20:37
My stream is strong, but the football link is shit, typical Iraq eh!
Anyway the twat that got out the way for their goal was….Eboue, the cunt, what the fuck does Wenger see in Pinky and fucking Perky???
March 3, 2009 at 20:37
Franchise
I give him that…that second goal was a great goal…It almost made up for the 18 chances he’s missed this season…but no not quite.
March 3, 2009 at 20:38
Thanks Denilson but its that stream that as froozen on my screen and i cant get rid of either of them now.
March 3, 2009 at 20:38
Wow…West Brom’s defence is really as crap as the stats suggest.
March 3, 2009 at 20:38
He should play every minute of every game….. :0)
March 3, 2009 at 20:38
Did you try: ATDHE.net ?
March 3, 2009 at 20:38
please arsenal dont sing
“only one arsene wenger”
March 3, 2009 at 20:38
Arshavin took the free kick and stuck it straight in the danger zone, so now we are 3 points behind Villa, come on City!
March 3, 2009 at 20:39
not a great performance, but three goals!!!!!!!
Fucking Hell, Football is weird at times.
Thought Denilson was excellent
Arshavin was quiet but as with any class player, he will always give you moments of brilliance.
Bendtner great finish for the 2nd
Eboue Terrible
Song Terrible
Djourou terrible in first 20 but has got a lot better.
The rest have been……Well….Ok
Still not enough effort for me, and we need to ensure we dont concede the next goal.
March 3, 2009 at 20:39
arshavin, nasri, cesc, rosicky, eduardo, vp, ade all available in a month. we would need those feckers for the run in.
March 3, 2009 at 20:39
David = Agenda against Nik
If you can’t be happy when a striker bags a brace, you never will.
Hopefully he’ll kick on from these goals.
He works hard, plays for the team and today he’s been rewarded.
The game has been woeful… but who cares now… we’re winning!
March 3, 2009 at 20:39
Geoff, Starsports on Sopcast is ace (without sound…)
March 3, 2009 at 20:39
For all who think we should sell Gallas this summer …. within 6 minutes of breaking up the Kolo-Gallas couple, we concede
March 3, 2009 at 20:39
Eboue is a comedian that just happns to play RM for Arsenal.
He most certainly entertains Arsene. Not us the fans though.
Toure has had a good game…1 goal…1 assist.
March 3, 2009 at 20:40
close to your analysis for me pat though djourou is worst of lot for me, closely followed by eboue, then song not playing great but not terrible, everyone else ok.
arshavin looks tired but is a really class act, and two great finishes by bendtner
March 3, 2009 at 20:40
Well kudos to Bendtner he has grabbed his chance with both hands, and respect to the boss for putting him in.
None of our goals have come from slick build-up play though, and no prizes for guessing why that is again… the rusted up hub of the wheel does its job yet again. Cesc can’t come back soon enough – or even Theo so that we can put Nasri central with Denilson.
Song as an AM… what an utterly ludicrous, inept, insulting, PISSTAKE of an idea.
March 3, 2009 at 20:40
Geof: Only Eboue could do such a thing…This lad
aren’t getting anything for free.
March 3, 2009 at 20:40
denilson will come to very good player, bbendtner will be great, song & eboue out, eboue may be only for cover of right back… arshavin is pure class…
March 3, 2009 at 20:41
patthegooner
THANKS FOR THE LINK EXCELLENT QUALITY
March 3, 2009 at 20:42
thanks trinidad
west brom are really clueless tony mowbray’s stubbornness like arsene’s would prove to be his downfall
i like his philosophy to play attacking footie but ensuring prem survival should be his priority
bolton ensure they survived when they 1st came in now they are in like their 7th consecutive season
March 3, 2009 at 20:42
Pedro
I’ll be honest with you I am very happy he’s scored….especially that second goal was Van Persie-esc-like….but remember this is the Worst Team in the Prem!
March 3, 2009 at 20:42
Im struggling to see how people can complain, we have hit 3 goals in 45mins, granted against the worst team in the EPL but we havent scored in our last 4 matches..
results are of more immediate importance to me than performance right now.
March 3, 2009 at 20:42
A
And I am not a Denilson fan at all, but I think he has been our best player.
March 3, 2009 at 20:43
it was silly for eboue for the goal, but it happens, seen the inside man move further in to block a ball loads times. 90% blame for the goal has to go on djourou for a really stupid stupid foul
March 3, 2009 at 20:43
Seriously i have missed everything so far apart from the shittness..missed all the goals ecpect a freeze frame of Arshavin stepping up for the free kick.
Does anyone have a link that actually works? Please.
March 3, 2009 at 20:43
Agree Rizzy
but emotions will always come out in posts, You are just typing what everyone is thinking in their head.
March 3, 2009 at 20:43
so pleased we are winning but all the links i keep are braking anymore please grovers??
March 3, 2009 at 20:44
Geoff download sopcast
takes 2 minutes ..
then use P2P … website .
the link is pretty good tonight ….
iraqi goal is pure bollocks .
March 3, 2009 at 20:44
Here Stu, I am on the top YES link, it is awesome and has english commentary, they even had the decency to put the liverpool game on at halftime..
March 3, 2009 at 20:44
Sorry Link
http://www.myp2p.eu/broadcast.php?matchid=31332&part=sports
March 3, 2009 at 20:44
Reggie what you watching it on
March 3, 2009 at 20:45
my sopcast went after we scored, came back to find it was 1-1, was very pissed off!!
March 3, 2009 at 20:45
A, I’d agree with your assessment of the performances…
90% of the blame can’t go on JD for the goal… no one has the right to score from that far…
March 3, 2009 at 20:45
has anyone got a link without podcaste ive spent the hole 1st half trying to download it and cant im a luddite and proud please help
March 3, 2009 at 20:45
Good times, hopefully this link i have up comes back on at half time..
so what are we all predicting the scores to be?
March 3, 2009 at 20:45
Oh… Pat, fucking top link!
March 3, 2009 at 20:45
Thanks for the update boys/girls – can’t access any of them, relying on you and Gilette Sport (Sky)- is Arshavin not good then patthegooner? I’ve liked him ever since he stepped on the pitch at Emirates; for a short chappie I reckon he has loads of potential, really looking forward to his first goal…….
I’ve said all day to-day (at work) ”it’s like a bottle with bubbles and a stubborn cork, once it pops it will flow” – could this be the moment???
March 3, 2009 at 20:46
90% of the blame for their goal has to go to Eboue for getting out of the fuckin way!
March 3, 2009 at 20:46
Thatnks very mucch Pattg.
March 3, 2009 at 20:46
How I have a mac, send me the link please mate!
March 3, 2009 at 20:46
Rizzy… I reckon 4-1…
I don’t know which subs we’ll see?
At least he can’t bring Song or Eboue on!
March 3, 2009 at 20:46
I think Sagna needs some rest, I feel on 70 we can take him out and slot Eboue at right back ….and then get someone else on for right wing.
I would like to see Fran…..sometime in the game.
March 3, 2009 at 20:46
pedro it was right on the edge of the area?! maybe 80%, stupid fouls are bad enough as it is, the only way it could have been any worse was if it was a penalty! to do it there is just ridiculous!
March 3, 2009 at 20:47
Geoff, you still got that PC for your security cameras?
March 3, 2009 at 20:47
i bet if we qualify for CL arsene wld finally make the much needed signings at least a CB and a DM. We would have to get at least 7 points from MAncs, Chelski and Pool IMO. if our injured players return i wld be confident we can do it. if they dont
March 3, 2009 at 20:47
PAUL
the one that PTG has just said
March 3, 2009 at 20:47
A… it looked further out than that to me…
Dumb foul… but a collapsing wall is unforgivable… especially it is along the ground!
March 3, 2009 at 20:47
Atm
liverpool and Chelsea are drawing….would be fantastic if they both drop points.
March 3, 2009 at 20:47
No, no substitutions. Do you trust this team in this situation. Do you. Exactly, lets score more and more.
March 3, 2009 at 20:48
Skandibird, Agree 100%. He has that little edge that we lack..The Free kick who set up Kolo is just the example. That was a f. exelent..
March 3, 2009 at 20:48
I think people are being harsh on Djourou, considering he was in a great run of form earlier in the season, got turfed out of the team for no reason, then couldn’t get his place back for love or money despite us leaking goals like a sieve. Now he gets thrust in at the deep end and has had a few shaky moments, well personally I’m not surprised, he hasn’t had a look in for ages. He’ll be fine as the game wears on.
March 3, 2009 at 20:48
No he is excellent Skandi, but you can tell he is not fit,
But becuase of his class, despite running on empty he will still pull out moments of brilliance.
I love him already
March 3, 2009 at 20:48
Kev… actually I’d rather have some subs on so we can really dish out some punishment.
March 3, 2009 at 20:49
It is a good link Pedro, I just hope they remember to switch it back over to the Arsenal Game.
March 3, 2009 at 20:49
yeah it was very poor wall, it happens a fair bit though – that man going out to try and block the shot rather than staying put, it’s like a natural instinct that you’ve gotta be disciplined to ignore and eboue is obviously not intelligent enough to!
i want 7-1 and eboue to get a goal!
March 3, 2009 at 20:49
Liverpool has not managed to break Sunderland yet.
I guess Sunderland has mastered the park the bus technique.
March 3, 2009 at 20:50
Believe it or not none of those lnks worked for me. I guess im just not supposed to see us winning.
March 3, 2009 at 20:50
Right… off to watch the game!
March 3, 2009 at 20:51
Yes Pedro in the office.
March 3, 2009 at 20:51
sunderland should have scored in the 3rd minute, kenqyne jones went through with about 5 minutes to pick a spot but just passed it back to reina
March 3, 2009 at 20:51
Diaby in for Kolo….This is not looking good.
March 3, 2009 at 20:51
Pedro – I would like to see Vela or RVP on.. unlikely with the goals rolling now though..
Maybe a bit of Merida? Although i went to the Stoke Arsenal reserve game and i wasnt all impressed.. he has a touch of FAB about him but lacks that spark..
March 3, 2009 at 20:51
Seb
Spot on….that wall shouldve saved that shot though.
Guilty parties near the ball are usually the guilty parties in everything….Song and Eboue were closest to the ball on the ground.
March 3, 2009 at 20:51
Song at centre back. Lets see
March 3, 2009 at 20:51
likewise pedro
COME ON ARSENAL!!!!
prob be back at the final whistle!
March 3, 2009 at 20:52
hmm diaby in song back to cb
March 3, 2009 at 20:52
oh no… song at CB!!!
March 3, 2009 at 20:52
shit what happened to kolo
March 3, 2009 at 20:53
I think niklas bendtner is a confidence player hopefully now, he can start banging them goals in.
arshavin, i want him to have a goal tonight
March 3, 2009 at 20:54
Apparently Kolo is injured
March 3, 2009 at 20:54
Whats going on?? What happened Kolo?
So now we have JD and Song together at CB? 3-3 draw anyone?
March 3, 2009 at 20:55
and our two best CB’s are fucked.. o dear.
March 3, 2009 at 20:55
anybody with a working link?
March 3, 2009 at 20:55
Gunnershabz almost all strikers are confidence players
March 3, 2009 at 20:55
To be honest, I would rather see Song at CB than in CM.
This might give us more attacking options with Diaby on
March 3, 2009 at 20:55
Kolo felt the tightening of his calf muscle. So they took him off as a precaution. Hopefully not too serious.
March 3, 2009 at 20:56
geoff
http://sopcast.10001downloads.com/
then use
pats P2P link for the channels
March 3, 2009 at 20:56
franchise
i know, but niklas bendtner runs on confidence big time.
some strikers are just ruthless
March 3, 2009 at 20:56
Song at CB is 100% the only place where he can be remotely useful for this team, he has good physical presence, like Eboue he should never get in the team unless it’s as a defender. Wenger is just being a tit frankly.
March 3, 2009 at 20:57
http://www.10001downloads.com/s/sopcast-for-MAC.html
March 3, 2009 at 20:57
Arshavin must be wondering what he needs to do to get the ball.
March 3, 2009 at 20:58
YES pat the link is good , its the same commentary we get in asia .. its actually ESPN also ..
March 3, 2009 at 20:58
wenger might as well make eboue captain
he plays most of the games and likes talking to the ref
March 3, 2009 at 20:59
Well done Song!
March 3, 2009 at 20:59
How the fuck could Wenger even consider picking Song as AM ahead of Diaby? It’s just a joke, Diaby has already influenced the game more positively in 5 minutes.
March 3, 2009 at 21:00
That tackle on the edge of the area, was the best thing I have seen him do all season.
And unlucky Arshavin
March 3, 2009 at 21:00
Seb: Agree. His dist. is so poor. By the way..The last
atemt Arshavin had was a touch of magic..
March 3, 2009 at 21:00
I still cant watch the game. Cunting computer!
March 3, 2009 at 21:01
He is pure class
March 3, 2009 at 21:01
Arshavin is starting to look really really class, that was lovely feet
March 3, 2009 at 21:01
I’ve figured out why we have so many injuries.
They play each other too many hospital balls.
March 3, 2009 at 21:01
This is the Arsenal I know and love
March 3, 2009 at 21:01
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HOW IS NOT 5-1!!!!!!!!!!
I tell you DIABY SHOULD BE A STRIKER!
March 3, 2009 at 21:02
rofl shabz good shout, i bet wenger has thought about it as well
March 3, 2009 at 21:02
Ethan I don’t understand, there were so many things on there, what do I download???
March 3, 2009 at 21:02
Ethan where do I go after I get onto the site?
March 3, 2009 at 21:02
Anyone got a working stream, preferably in English?
March 3, 2009 at 21:03
Im speechless.
March 3, 2009 at 21:03
Cunt Iain Dowie. AMde me think Nik had a hattrick!
March 3, 2009 at 21:04
The away support are loud as usual
March 3, 2009 at 21:04
I fucking Hate sopcaste more then song and eboue put together its so frustrating arrrrrgh.
March 3, 2009 at 21:04
Imagine Bendtner having more career hattricks than Van Persie. That would certainly be strange.
March 3, 2009 at 21:04
Song is actualy doing good..He releases the ball straight away wich is pretty effective,,
March 3, 2009 at 21:04
OH UNLUCKY SON
that is a player with newfound confidence!! He will be keeping Robin out at this rate!
March 3, 2009 at 21:04
We need to take these chances
March 3, 2009 at 21:05
Get the Yes link on here Nick, I have a great link with English Commentary
http://www.myp2p.eu/broadcast.php?matchid=31332&part=sports
March 3, 2009 at 21:05
oh crap my tvu link is gone???
March 3, 2009 at 21:05
fuck we look great right now
March 3, 2009 at 21:05
Geoff, Pedro, you should get a Links Tab on the R/H side, it must be the most asked question during the game
March 3, 2009 at 21:06
Vela should come on for the Russain.
March 3, 2009 at 21:07
we should play west brom every week they are given us more room than the M25 at 3:00am
March 3, 2009 at 21:07
We need to putvin 1 more cos if they score 1more its gona be a very nervy ending.
March 3, 2009 at 21:07
ptg, what did you have to downloan to be able to use that? Because im not able to watch most links because of what i dont have.
March 3, 2009 at 21:07
Song = King at CB
March 3, 2009 at 21:08
Agree Lewyd, definately need another Goal.
I hope we go for the kill, need to sort out the goal difference as well.
March 3, 2009 at 21:09
You need to download Sopcast Stu, you can get it here.
http://www.download.com/SopCast/3000-13632_4-10601520.html
March 3, 2009 at 21:09
We need to keep Arshavin on the pitch.. His movement alone are opening up the WBA def..
March 3, 2009 at 21:09
anyone else got any links?
March 3, 2009 at 21:10
Franchise that’s why this game is going to mean nothing at all, everyone will be all excited at how we are back in the groove, but it’s largely down to West Brom’s shitness. Mowbray makes Wenger look like Mourinho.
March 3, 2009 at 21:10
Eboue has a good shot from outside a box? It must be Christmas
March 3, 2009 at 21:10
This Morrison chap is a good player
March 3, 2009 at 21:10
pat i cant open that link either fuck it il take laptop to computer geek at work and see if he can do the do for me coz im gonna kick it all the way to west brom in a minute
March 3, 2009 at 21:11
Eboue is useless this just proves that Arsenal can dominate with 9 men.
March 3, 2009 at 21:12
nice tumble Bac, like a good pro there
March 3, 2009 at 21:12
Sorry Nick
I think there are some video guides to downloading it and installing and using it on You Tube.
March 3, 2009 at 21:12
like i said earlier seb until we are 8th or we win the fa cup or CL or all 3 i wldnt get too excited
March 3, 2009 at 21:13
Eboooooooue of…Rambo in.
March 3, 2009 at 21:13
5th i meant
March 3, 2009 at 21:13
Pat, i went into that and honestly i dont even know if i downloaded it or what.
March 3, 2009 at 21:13
Good sub!
March 3, 2009 at 21:14
Nik is having a really fantastic game. His control and choice of pass has been excellent tonight.
Song looks a decent CB, but this is WBA. Not exactly the Chavs.
Great AR replaces EE – who ran about but with little purpose.
I think we could get 5
March 3, 2009 at 21:14
good about time Rambo got some minutes, and the perfect player to bring off too
March 3, 2009 at 21:14
the longer Arshavin plays, the quicker he becomes match fit.
He has to start against Burnley, as he cant play against Roma.
Dont worry about Eboue, Eduardo and Walcott are due back soon in the next week.
March 3, 2009 at 21:14
Why are West Brom Enjoying possession???
March 3, 2009 at 21:15
yeah 31 mins for the download… …I fucking hate SKY, SETANTA ITV and the BBC
FFS every civilized country in the world including Afghanistan and Iraq show the PL live I am soooooo pissed off
March 3, 2009 at 21:15
Ramsey for Eboue … think Vela for Nasri soon? Nasri should get a little break too
March 3, 2009 at 21:15
my tvu link is fucked…
am going to give up now guys
March 3, 2009 at 21:16
Vela/RvP for AA or Nasri ?
March 3, 2009 at 21:16
Again Stu
You will find links on You Tube that take you through installing and using it. Sorry cant talk you through it now buddy, Eyes are glued
March 3, 2009 at 21:16
pat thanks for your help but i think im beyond it i hate computers cheers
March 3, 2009 at 21:16
http://www.atdhe.net/live-tv-4292.html
Great link, but foreign.
March 3, 2009 at 21:17
True Gunner8 but now that we have given those 2 countries the wonder of western democracy, they wont have live free football for much longer
March 3, 2009 at 21:17
westbrom are giving us so much space thru the middle that our wide players are hardly in the game
March 3, 2009 at 21:17
Sorry Nick and Stu
There are guides out there, but if you can get a geek to do it all the better.
March 3, 2009 at 21:17
I think Diaby just showed why he doesn’t get picked a lot – even an AM needs to show some defensive awareness, it would take him til Xmas to close down an opponent. At least Manuel tore a strip off him.
March 3, 2009 at 21:17
whats the score
March 3, 2009 at 21:18
So what are the odds on another late Chavski winner?
March 3, 2009 at 21:18
No worries Pat. Doesnt matter. Thanks tho.
March 3, 2009 at 21:18
Can anybody say Andrade Filipe Teixeira fasr 10 times.. That name is worhth a million..
March 3, 2009 at 21:18
Don’t want to rub it in G8, but we even have Trevor Francis co-commentating. I don’t like him but he is much better than Burley – who is total pants
March 3, 2009 at 21:19
Supersport in South Africa show every Arsenal game live.
March 3, 2009 at 21:20
Diaby is worse than Denilson and Song defensively. And he always lunges in with a bad tackle that most of the time (thankfully) he misses.
March 3, 2009 at 21:20
Good picture on this one!
http://atdhe.net/live-tv-4292.html
March 3, 2009 at 21:21
Our away support is as ever brilliant.
March 3, 2009 at 21:21
Almunia saved us there.
March 3, 2009 at 21:21
WBA can fuck off if they think they are getting anything from this game.
March 3, 2009 at 21:21
The Away Fans are Fucking Awesome
March 3, 2009 at 21:21
That was nearly squeaky bum time
March 3, 2009 at 21:22
Some very pooe defending…JD was acrually going for the Offside trap..He should be moving towards GC..Rubbish
March 3, 2009 at 21:22
wright7
good link, shame about the commentary
March 3, 2009 at 21:22
I would give Arshavin a rest now. Give him the Ovation
March 3, 2009 at 21:22
That was a dumb back pass by Ramsey, I know he is young …but why pass back from sofar,I would never do that.
March 3, 2009 at 21:23
Almunia injured too?
Very poor pass from Ramsey.
March 3, 2009 at 21:23
Ramsey again. He makes waay too many mistakes for my liking and he is not better than Song or Eboue yet.
March 3, 2009 at 21:23
Ramsey Ramsey, that was not too clever
March 3, 2009 at 21:24
Liverpool are Winning
March 3, 2009 at 21:24
GunnerShabz,
I know mate! I’m just glad I can watch the damn game now! Ha ha
March 3, 2009 at 21:25
wrighty
its very clear actually….
and its quick streaming
March 3, 2009 at 21:25
If it wasnt for Eboue and Song i would swear that Sagna is our worst player going forward.
March 3, 2009 at 21:25
It’s funny … when Almunia makes a good save, the comentators actually think the shot missed, cause they don’t really expect that save from him. Like that one a few minutes ago, and I remember against Roma the guy said “and Almunia was nowhere near that one” .. even after the replays he didn’t want to admit that he was wrong. lol.
March 3, 2009 at 21:25

March 3, 2009 at 21:25
Arsenal must fuckin spend an entire day training just taking shots on goal.
March 3, 2009 at 21:25
Gunnershabz,
I wish I found it 78 mins ago! Ha ha
March 3, 2009 at 21:26
Drogba scored
March 3, 2009 at 21:26
I don’t care how bad Sgna is going forward, defensively I believe he is the best in the world.
Overall, Maicon and Alves are better cause their attacking skill, but they can’t touch Sagna defensively.
March 3, 2009 at 21:26
Cant switch off like that at freekicks
I know it came to nothing, but come on lads…..Basics
March 3, 2009 at 21:27
Liverpool AND chavski have now scored!
March 3, 2009 at 21:27
I give up as well, every stream I try ‘locks’ – thanks for the great input – watching Gillette Sport Sky – seems to be the only place now for me (well apart from the old bed…..) oh, anyone think (like me) that once Eduardo comes back he’ll link up well with Arshavin???
March 3, 2009 at 21:27
Wrighty7
i think it is greek commentary
but i dont want the arsenal fans singing
“only one arsene wenger”
we cant just let him off the hook after beating wba
March 3, 2009 at 21:27
How was Arshavin this game? I just found a link 5 minutes ago. A goal could do well for him
March 3, 2009 at 21:28
Skandibird, try my earlier link, perfect.
March 3, 2009 at 21:28
O goody Fran Merida!
March 3, 2009 at 21:29
Merida! Fucking lovely!
March 3, 2009 at 21:29
Fran is getting a game.
March 3, 2009 at 21:29
You cant tell he is not fully fit Pat, but there have been some moments of pure brilliance, and his freekick on Toure’s head was class.
March 3, 2009 at 21:29
Fran the man coming on
March 3, 2009 at 21:29
fran merida is on
for samir nasri
looks like arshavin has to jelly out his legs again
March 3, 2009 at 21:29
merida
March 3, 2009 at 21:29
We’ve switched off, I think we will let at least one more in. It’s bullshit, why can’t we stay focussed for 90 minutes??
March 3, 2009 at 21:29
Our full backs should never bother crossing again
March 3, 2009 at 21:30
Good to see Merida, even if only for 10 minutes.
Clichy and Sagna should spend 4 hours every day learning how to cross a ball
March 3, 2009 at 21:30
Wrighty you f*cker lol. I’ve searching arounding trying to find links and yor telling me that one’s been working all along…….not cool
March 3, 2009 at 21:30
And they must spend a whole fucking day practicing crossing the soccer ball.
March 3, 2009 at 21:30
merida is looking much bigger
March 3, 2009 at 21:30
clichy and sagna
March 3, 2009 at 21:30
I read Wilshere suffered a severe loss of form. Hopefully he wasn’t just hype b/c he looked a great player in the CC and in preseason. On the other hand, I heard Merida was making big improvements.
March 3, 2009 at 21:30
Arshavin is almost like Bergkamp in that he could stand in one small area for the whole game and still show his class. As long as he has enough energy to kick the ball then he is fit enough for me.
March 3, 2009 at 21:31
Almunia showing good form
March 3, 2009 at 21:31
I think Wilshire will make it, but at his age he needs games not bench time, so I think it is good he has gone back to the Reserves/Youth.
March 3, 2009 at 21:32
meaty punch from Manuel, he is so much better on crosses nowadays
March 3, 2009 at 21:32
Villa lucky that they don’t have to face Bellamy and Robinho tomorrow. I don’t think they’d win with them playing.
Pressure is on them
March 3, 2009 at 21:32
i love it if
fran merida scores a left foot belter top corner right now
March 3, 2009 at 21:32
Wilsheres form dropped because of age and whenever he played for the reserves he was marked out of them by at least 2 oppo players. That would drain anyones confidence.
March 3, 2009 at 21:33
What happened to us in the last 20 mins. We played great for 25 and then went to sleep.
Could it have been the replacement of Eboue ?
March 3, 2009 at 21:34
No way Raddy. Thats defo not it.
March 3, 2009 at 21:35
bendtner and arshavin are knackered
bendtner is not fit enough to play up front on his own
and arshavin isnt match fit
March 3, 2009 at 21:35
Its normal to slow down after taking a 2 goal lead. In the Spurs game, we conceded stupid goals b/c we didn’t play smart and everyone charged forward.
Entertaining, but costly in the end
March 3, 2009 at 21:35
arsenal are playing shit right now
March 3, 2009 at 21:36
That was a pass back!!!
March 3, 2009 at 21:36
backpass ref!!
March 3, 2009 at 21:36
unlucky arshavin
March 3, 2009 at 21:37
Arshavin will hit minimum 17 goals next season..Guaranteed.
March 3, 2009 at 21:37
It’d be awesome if Arshavin chipped it right there after passing the defender.
March 3, 2009 at 21:39
Christ this game really has contained some crap hasn’t it, from both sides
moments of brilliance but all too fleeting
March 3, 2009 at 21:39
JD pays a lot better next to a cooler head. and noone comes cooler than Song. Im not even sure if he realises this is a match.
March 3, 2009 at 21:40
Very happy with that. We did a job, and our only lapse was a stupid mistake from EE for the goal.
Well played boys.
MOM ? Between Nik, AA and Denilson
March 3, 2009 at 21:40
ahh
life was bad..
but now it’s good..
forever!
March 3, 2009 at 21:40
3 pts. lads and the pressure is on Villa. Hope they watched this to scare them a bit.
For sure it’ll be on their minds. Come on City!
March 3, 2009 at 21:40
Denilson was better.
March 3, 2009 at 21:40
stu
hahahah
that made me laugh
cool head song, u have to give him credit to being calm under pressure
March 3, 2009 at 21:40
song’s best position is CB
March 3, 2009 at 21:40
ramsey was pretty poor today
March 3, 2009 at 21:41
Whats the gap now? 2 or 3points?
March 3, 2009 at 21:41
G’Day Big Raddy
March 3, 2009 at 21:41
Thank you Freduardo.
March 3, 2009 at 21:41
Song looks like a Rastafarian, a bit. Always looks stoned and cool. No pressure whatsoever.
March 3, 2009 at 21:41
songs best position is the championship
March 3, 2009 at 21:42
LOL redallover and thanks for the link wonderboy cought the last 20mins
March 3, 2009 at 21:42
Song is shit, Wenger must be doing something unhealthy, it makes me feel sick to watch him.
March 3, 2009 at 21:42
i know it’s been said before but i can see the beginnings of a fucking awesome squad happening here.
March 3, 2009 at 21:42
Hollywood,
I only found it on 72 mins mate! It was a secret! HA ha
March 3, 2009 at 21:42
Hollywood
Songs best position is Left back…..in the sheds
March 3, 2009 at 21:42
Songs best position is row 23 seat 5 on a 747 back to Cameroon.
March 3, 2009 at 21:42
3 points gap
March 3, 2009 at 21:42
just pleased we won come on city tommorow
March 3, 2009 at 21:42
WRIGHTY 7 thanks for the link once i started to watch it was scared to come back off so thanks very much top bloke
March 3, 2009 at 21:42
I’ve just managed 5 mins on the link Wrighty7, it’s a Russian TV channel; at least I got to watch something.
Good result, next game is a must win, keep the pressure on AV.
March 3, 2009 at 21:42
Early morning GG ?
March 3, 2009 at 21:42
Positives: Arshavin, Bendtner, Song as CB, scoring, 3 points.
March 3, 2009 at 21:43
big raddy,
for what??
March 3, 2009 at 21:43
sONG’s slow motion style of play suits him at CB
March 3, 2009 at 21:43
Arshavin was blowing out of his arse at the end but after a pre-season with us and having adapted,
FUCK ME he will be awesome next season!
March 3, 2009 at 21:43
GG, it is BR to you seeing as we are old mates
March 3, 2009 at 21:44
fuck you BBC, look at the headline
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/7908454.stm
talk about getting your hopes up
March 3, 2009 at 21:44
Some Robinho magic can do us a favour tommorrow.
March 3, 2009 at 21:45
Freduardo. For your fine poem.
March 3, 2009 at 21:45
I advise everyone to save that link, I have. Best picture I’ve had from a stream.
Gutted I didn’t find it earlier!
March 3, 2009 at 21:45
BR about to go off to work. A result like this puts a spring in the old step for the rest of the day. Chamoneeeeee
March 3, 2009 at 21:45
NI-CLASS BENT-ITAROUNDTHEKEEPER
Great match from the Dane…exhaustion started to set in late but he still managed a dangerous run late on…
Unlucky not to have the hat trick on 3 superb goals.
March 3, 2009 at 21:46
robinho and that welsh git our out injured tomorrow
March 3, 2009 at 21:47
lets not ge carried away bout song’s performance which was still nothing spectacular. if we had reliable subs all season we would still be challenging for the title not potentially 20 points behind the leaders
March 3, 2009 at 21:47
Come on City Come on City Come on City Come on City Come on CityCome on City Come on City Come on City Come on City
March 3, 2009 at 21:47
just remebering what 3 points feels like.
mmm lovely, reeling in them villains I think.
March 3, 2009 at 21:48
Lucky Villains. City have their 2 best players missing
March 3, 2009 at 21:49
at this stage of the season i am only cocerned about 4th position and i believe villa are the ones we have to chase not the chavs or the bindppers. they can keep winning i dont really care
March 3, 2009 at 21:49
Right Come On MAN CITY
I am happy with that tonight. Thought we were pretty poor in the first half, and I still cant work out how we scored 3 goals in it, but when your luck is down, you take that with both hands.
The important thing was the result and hopefully we can take that on now and get on a bit of a winning run.
Thought Denilson was our best player tonight, Nic took his chances well, Arshavin stands out a mile for class, and I will give him some credit, following a shocking 1st half in Midfield, Song looked very reliable at CB, Well done Song, Like Eboue you get played out of position.
If Man City can do us a major favour tomorrow, I might start believing. We would never be that lucky though would we?
March 3, 2009 at 21:50
lets be honest song and eboue are decent enough defensive cover but they should not be in the team especially the positions they have but wenger picks the team so whos to blame but being a fickle fan after tonight his a great manager
March 3, 2009 at 21:50
imo bendtner was fantastic, man of the match for me, closely followed by arshavin and denilson.
nasri was ok, as were the full backs though their crossing still leaves alot to be desired.
kolo played very well, gotta hope the injury isn’t anything too bad
djourou absolutely appalling first half, marginally better second half but still very poor
song poor first half, very solid second when at centre back
almunia was solid, did everything that was asked of him though bottled it a bit when injured as seemed like time to boot the ball
diaby usual mix of quality and shite, more quality than shite today though.
ramsey very poor in his brief cameo, showed why shouldn’t be starting games yet
March 3, 2009 at 21:51
songs best position is the championship
LMAO
March 3, 2009 at 21:52
oh and eboue was mixture of shite and good, scared them with direct running which created couple of chances but more shite than goodness today, though unlucky not to score.
March 3, 2009 at 21:52
yes geoff
your right
its tougher than i thought but here follow these steps it should make sense ..
PS : – got it from a help BBS the link at the very bottom ..

March 3, 2009 at 21:53
A i agree with ur assessment bendtner was the MoM for me.
March 3, 2009 at 21:53
Im relieved we started scoring….but we still havent addressed the missed chances infront of goal….how are we different from any championship team if we can finish our chances!
March 3, 2009 at 21:55
every year we seem to struggle btw the months feb-early april even in the unbeaten year i believe we had quite a few draws
wenger must try solving that problem. it has cost us quite a few titles
March 3, 2009 at 21:55
Didnt like fans singing there’s only one Arsene Wenger at the end though. this season has been a spectacular fuck up from the le boss
March 3, 2009 at 21:55
because championship teams don’t create the chances?! 3 goals out of 19 attempts is absolutely fine, though we should have scored more i agree.
March 3, 2009 at 21:56
Whats wrong about the BBC link Stu??
March 3, 2009 at 21:56
Good win, if there was some scale of us converting chances, we’re definetly improving so should score a couple more next time.
Robinho, Bellamy and Wright-Phillips out for Man Citeh, how gay is that, they’ll all probably be availble for Man Citeh when tey reach the Emirates.
Bellamy made Laursen look ordinary when Villa played West Ham earlier in the season.
March 3, 2009 at 21:57
it wasnt that bad today David but we should have used today as a shooting training session.
March 3, 2009 at 21:57
Song was poor pretty much the whole game.
Cant believe the ball went through his legs on the wall and he didnt even flinch…at least Eboue moved to try and block it.
March 3, 2009 at 21:58
why swp out keyser?
March 3, 2009 at 21:58
Want my link David but the headline said that Pompey had won when it was the Chavs who won. That was the problem.
March 3, 2009 at 21:59
Franchise
My point exactly…..if we dont get sharpness against West Brom…when are we ever going to get it???
How many season’s under Wenger have we seen and our strikers waste chances!
March 3, 2009 at 21:59
Hollywood Hotsauce – Heh, they were there, they can sing what they like. Unless you felt left out at the game ?!
March 3, 2009 at 21:59
Don’t mention it Gunner8.
March 3, 2009 at 22:00
every season david, including the invincibles year! today we were more efficient with 3 goals from 19 shots than both chelsea and liverpool.
is annoying though, if we’d won 7-1 i would’ve won 5 grand!
March 3, 2009 at 22:00
A. – I dunno, probably injured, only read the headline, didn’t say why he was out.
March 3, 2009 at 22:01
Keyser,
Bellamy is out with a Knee injury
March 3, 2009 at 22:01
Is SWP out because of his ban fr kicking Delap? Or is that finished?
March 3, 2009 at 22:02
ah ok, that’s very annoying, though they should still create chances
i really like bojinov, and elano and ireland are still quality
March 3, 2009 at 22:03
Isnt it just typical of the FA. SWP kicks Delap gets a 3game ban. Ronaldo has kicked out at a handful of players this season and its excused as “a bit of frustration” because he is supposedly the best player in the world.
March 3, 2009 at 22:03
Stu – Maybe, it seems like that was ages, I think he got a game added on for a frivolous appeal, so 4 sat out.
David – Yeah I know just disappointed, Villa are slow at the back Bellamy would’ve caused them problems.
March 3, 2009 at 22:04
Hollywood thats what supporters do,they get behind their team.Thats why they follow them all over the country
March 3, 2009 at 22:06
Did anyone see Kenwyne Jones’ chance ?!
March 3, 2009 at 22:07
yeah i was watching it live keyser, horrific miss, he had so so long
March 3, 2009 at 22:07
I saw it Keyser, it was an awful attempt at goal. Dare i say even Eboue would have scored it!
March 3, 2009 at 22:08
Please Please Please Man City
If they can win tomorrow, we play 24 hours earlier in the next round of fixtures, so we could get our 4th place back even if just for a day, and fuck that would put some pressure on Villa.
March 3, 2009 at 22:09
Monsieur keyser they can sing what they…… my point is he’s going to think everything’s fine and dandy when it it isn’t
March 3, 2009 at 22:10
He had too long on the ball I think, Adebayor would’ve slotted it in easy. Sunderland didn’t play too badly if they’d got that goal it would’ve been a massive boost.
March 3, 2009 at 22:10
In a way its a bit like our situation last season.
We could have gone 8 points clear if we beat Birmingham but we drew 2-2. Just like Villa yesterday. Hopefully we turn it around and then some.
March 3, 2009 at 22:11
want*
March 3, 2009 at 22:12
city have won their last 5 home games in the league.
they’ve not drawn a game at home this season, won 8, lost 5, so can’t imagine it’ll be a boring one!
come on please let this be an awesome week footbal wise, city to beat villa tomorrow, utd to lose too, youths to hammer spuds on thursday, then we can get into double figures against burnley
March 3, 2009 at 22:12
What did the fans sing thats gotten you all hot and bothered??
March 3, 2009 at 22:12
Hollywood Hotsauce – Wait wait wait, how do you know what he’s thinking ? I love the fact that they were singing that, just shows you how good our away support is and exactly that ‘Support’.
Maybe he’ll think, ‘look at the support, how awesome is that ? pretty shoddy season and they’re still singing their hearts out, I must do better’.
March 3, 2009 at 22:15
wenger is going to think things are going well depending on results and league position, not what some fans think!
March 3, 2009 at 22:19
or maybe he’ll think ‘poor chumps singing their hearts out, how cute. The kiddie philosophy must go on, we’ve won fuck all for 4years now but they’re still here, they don’t mind, as long as I can spin failure as potential and a few mant utd type results now and again, Its all good’
March 3, 2009 at 22:22
Im off for the night. Night all, sweet dreams!
March 3, 2009 at 22:32
I dont think there is any need to be really critical of anyone tonight,
We needed a win and we got one. Nic stood up to the plate sorted his 1st touch out and I for one am happy.
Sure the first half was not pretty, but arguably we played a lot better in the second half and could not score, yet whilst having Ebodenilsong on the field we scored 3,
I will take that and just hope that we build on it,
Arshavin looked real Class. He is already shoving it up people’s arses that said he would not be any good in the Premier League.
March 3, 2009 at 22:34
i think we needed this type of team we it was an open game so the strikers could get there confedence back i dont think for a second that we could done this aginst portmouth or stoke, before this but now we have got the confedence back we have some big players back i think we can go ona winning run. niiki b had an outstanding performance yes he can be wasteful i always thought he good player that puts his shift in,aa had very good from what heard but i just which could got a good stream
March 3, 2009 at 22:51
Finally we started scoring again, good result too, just what the doctor ordered.
March 3, 2009 at 22:59
Yet some people still want to moan
March 3, 2009 at 23:00
Well, that was an enjoyable experience!
Writing a happy match report!
March 3, 2009 at 23:10
Just watching the game on ss
did anyone notice the difference
the away support was?might have
had something to do with the fans
being allowed to stand without getting hassled
from our over eager stewards??
March 3, 2009 at 23:12
makes a change im sure pedro!!
if kolo injury was just a tight calf muscle hopefully be fine. theo back for the next game, hope he gets a start. Surprised me arshavin played all 90, he looked exhausted! guess that might be why, getting his fitness up
March 3, 2009 at 23:25
Sure does A… what did you think?
March 3, 2009 at 23:29
yeah it was good. for me the only real downside to the whole game was how bad djourou was. Overall though was a decent performance, and scoring goals was very important to break the hoodoo, though it should have been more and they were very poor.
bendtner was fantastic, arshavin is gonna be one hell of a player, and denilson was exceptional. Other than that everyone was ok nothing special but we just did what was needed.
I put a tenner on before the game that we’d win 7-1, after the free kick went in, and then at 3-1 half time i really thought was on for a winner!
also put £20 on to score at any time, odds were the same for kolo and eboue and was umming and ahhing for a bit but had a good feeling about eboue scoring today so went for him rather than kolo, pretty annoying!!
March 3, 2009 at 23:30
a
how was song in central defence
March 3, 2009 at 23:31
good actually leon! had a pretty poor first half centre mid then was very impressive when moved back to defence!
March 3, 2009 at 23:35
a
thats what i thought huge difference between dm and centre half.you can see he is not a midfielder much better in defence cover, we can keep there but was of silvester
March 3, 2009 at 23:37
A… pretty much what I thought.
I wouldn’t have bet on 7-1… we rarely go for the humiliation do we!
Reggie, I reckon you’ve nailed 70% of the problem there!
Anyway, I am off to bed.
The post is set to publish automatically at 0900… enjoy if I’m not there to tell you all!
March 3, 2009 at 23:41
ha yeah i know pedro – but i felt because of what’s gone previously rather than ease off after we got a couple of early goals we’d really go for it, and had spare money in my paddy power account so thought why not!
nite pedro
wouldn’t say he’s not a midfielder leon, he’s just decent cover as a centre back or defensive mid, but not a first choice in either. His strongest attributes are defensive so if he’s asked to do anything attacking in midfield he’s a bit dodgy but he’s fine when just sitting back cleaning up.
March 3, 2009 at 23:48
I think Song is definitely better at Centre back.
Remember last year he did a great job there at Old Trafford. Thats one of the biggest stages of all.
Anyway….since the CBs may be injured..we might see
this for Sunday against Burnley.
…………….Fab………………..
Sagna……..Song……Djouoru……Gibbs
Arshavin…….Diaby….Ramsey……Vela
…………RVP……..Ade…………..
…………….Fab
March 3, 2009 at 23:48
* that second Fab was an error lol
March 3, 2009 at 23:49
I feel Sagna needs a rest though, so we may see Eboue in for him.
March 3, 2009 at 23:51
i agree with the first 8 ja, but think it could well be bendtner and vela up front and theo left mid.
be shocked if ade started when there’s only a slight chance of him being ok to be involved at all. Eduardo is meant to be back before ade so if either of them started i’d expect it to be him
March 3, 2009 at 23:52
It would be pointless and a step backwards to drop Bendtner now so i think he should keep going and start against Burnley. I’d go for much the same with Eboue out and Diaby in for the Kolo if he and Gallas are both out. Song obviously moving into defence.
March 3, 2009 at 23:57
I would go for something like this:
Fabianski
Eboue – Kolo – Gallas – Gibbs
Nasri – Denilson – Diaby – Merida/Vela
Bendtner – Eduardo(if fit)
Either that or JD and Song but then i wouldnt have Gibbs and Eboue because they are suspect defensively.
March 3, 2009 at 23:58
Oh i meant to have Arshavin in there somewhere tho.
March 4, 2009 at 00:00
Stu I think Denilson will finally get a rest against Burnley…because Arsene will want him fresh and ready for Roma on Wednesday…..
Denilson has played the most games….so I think he will rest him against Burnley.
March 4, 2009 at 00:01
I think djourou will probably play ahead of one of the two centre backs even if gallas and toure are fit.
Also expect that with roma weds denilson will get a rest, and probably nasri too, arshavin to start seeing as he’s gonna be getting a rest midweek anyways.
Not too fussed about the defence, but midfield i think
Theo–Ramsey–Diaby–Arshavin
——Bendtner–Vela——-
eduardo as only a maybe be a bit dodgy starting like last time, might be better to make a sub appearance
March 4, 2009 at 00:02
Good point. I hadnt thought of that. I doubt he has missed more than a handful of games this season.
March 4, 2009 at 00:02
yeah i agree about denilson ja, can’t remember the last time nasri got a rest either
March 4, 2009 at 00:07
If Theo is indeed back then I like that midfield and attack A.
……………Fab……………..
Sagna……SOng…..Djouoru…..Gibbs
Theo…….Diaby….Ramsey……Arshavin
………….Bendter…Vela…………
If Ade is ready he will come on for Nick second half.
If we are comfortably ahead I would take Sagna off at 55-60 mins.
He also needs to be ready for Roma. I put Song and Djouor in there because I dont know if Arsene will want to risk either Kolo or Toure b4 Roma.
March 4, 2009 at 00:08
Kolo or Gallas*
March 4, 2009 at 00:09
theo was back in full contact training from yesterday ja so he must be ok to play on sunday?
March 4, 2009 at 02:02
Burnley
…………….Fab…………….
Eboue…….Djouoru…..Gallas…..Gibbs
Arshavin….Diaby…..Song…….Vela
…………RVP……Bendt………..
March 4, 2009 at 03:00
Ja, i like that but i don’t think either of Gallas or Toure will play, if there both struggling ewith niggles he’ll save them for Roma, would expect to the back 4 to be either of these 2:
Sagna Song Djourou Gibbs
or
Eboue Sagna Djourou Gibbs
March 4, 2009 at 03:52
..and so it seems we owe bendtner an apology after all our doubts…but is this not what the reserve league/team is about?
while i applaud his efforts tonight i cant help but remember the numerous efforts that have been wasted over the season.
here i dont blame nicklas himself as he could only try his best…but wenger himself. i love the man but to fully blood the likes of denilson/song/diaby/nicklas/johan so early is purely ridiculous and i think he knew it.
As big-paying supporters we should expect and deserve a strong first team with young players backing the project up-not taking a major part at a time when they are not ready-it leads to enormous pressure on players that should be learning from more experienced souls….souls that do not exist at arsenal at this time-if Man U had Denilson as a prospect they would be jizzing over their tracksuit bottoms, but as a guaranteed starter he does not fit the grade.
I think if he and the other so called ‘future’ of Arsenal can guide us to 4th then we really should stand up and applause their efforts-regardless of silverware or not
March 4, 2009 at 05:05
gioals atlast!!!! and quite a few of them….villa to lose today for sure
March 4, 2009 at 05:13
GP, I would hope so
March 4, 2009 at 05:17
NPB for Le Champ??
March 4, 2009 at 06:02
nik – ade – RVP
all on there night can score .. nik and rvp have some class about them and ade is more a poacher and not very arsenal like ..
However none are enough quality in my billing to
front arsenal , have been saying it for a long long time .. a club like us needs a talisman ,
a gem who is dependable and a GOTO man when goals are needed (yes you guessed it , like TH14 )
dudu is the best we have i think however , with his injury prone past thru no fault of his own
we really need to assess next season who will step up .. Because i thought last season compared with the chances we had we converted little , so for me class strikers have been the key ingredient missing for a LONG TIME !!!
whilst i find last nights victory a WELCOME 3 points , if you were a gambler you would have liked the odds ! i liked the odds Vs sunderland too !
But to say we are out of the woods would be foolish .. WBA is a glorified championship team and was dispatched in a manner they deserved .
with villa failing to capitalize on the weekends results we are still in with a shot for 4th … we have tough games ahead however and this battle will go down to the wire .
watch this space
March 4, 2009 at 07:02
Villa could draw tonight.
Hopefully this was the mental block that AW was referring to the other day.
If we can follow up the cup game with a similar scoreline confidence will surely be restored.
Villains make way for what’s rightly ours!!!
Chamonnnneee!!!!!!
March 4, 2009 at 07:20
Its good to see people on here spelling chamone the way its supposed to be spelt, with an “e”
Evening/morning all. Wow!! what a difference a win makes.
March 4, 2009 at 07:23
Arswaxin gets better each game; unlucky not to score. At least he has an assist now though.
…..& his shorts. Either he’s wearing a pair of Joe Bugners boxing shorts or he has short nobby legs.
March 4, 2009 at 07:34
I’ve been reading the Song lover comments, I’ve been saying for ever he’s shit, last night he was moved to centre back and the Song lovers now admit he was poor in midfield but immense at centre back.
What is it with Wenger, he knows he’s shit, it’s like he knows his mum and has promised her he will play.
It’s fucking embarrassing Arsene, get shot of him, he’s useless.
March 4, 2009 at 07:35
Think it’s the legs Gnarley
Morning mate………..So i can’t wait for the weekend….more of the same please………
March 4, 2009 at 07:47
Geoff
Song should play left back, in the changerooms
He is diabolical in the middle.
March 4, 2009 at 07:48
morning Iceman & Geoff
March 4, 2009 at 07:57
Morning Gnarley, he is not even a footballer in my book, he’s useless, I can’t stand to watch him.
March 4, 2009 at 08:07
geoff did ya went to watch match at stadium
March 4, 2009 at 08:10
SONG IS SHIT, SONG IS SHIT, SONG IS SHIT!!!!!
Oh, morning all……
March 4, 2009 at 08:11
http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/04032009/4/wenger-eyes-fourth-spot.html
March 4, 2009 at 08:13
Anyone else agree that, had Song not have the reaction speed of a newborn child, he would have been able to stop that free kick flying through the wall??
March 4, 2009 at 08:13
Can we make him ballboy?
March 4, 2009 at 08:15
Iceman – That would be harsh on the ball boys that do it well…..I’m sure Song would struggle to find an Arsenal player when he has the ball to give back…..
March 4, 2009 at 08:18
Taig, surely it was Eboue not stood on the end of the wall that caused the goal.
March 4, 2009 at 08:24
song might be benjuman button – slow in a age when he was supposed to be sharp
March 4, 2009 at 08:27
I know Eboue pulled away from the wall but the ball didnt travel between that gap. It went right under Song’s feet.
I am more than happy t say that Song and Eboue are both fucking shite and should be sold to Barcelona immediately!!
March 4, 2009 at 08:29
chozzer
is your avatar Paul Gascoigne
March 4, 2009 at 08:31
well-spotted, gnarley!
March 4, 2009 at 08:36
I watched the last 10 minutes of the game on Fox Sports, just finished. Arswaxin wears those white bike leg support things under his shorts so thats why from a distance on the tele he looks like hes got boxer Aussie Joe Bugner sized shorts.
….if anyone was actually wondering
March 4, 2009 at 08:39
The replay of the game still suggests, Song is terrible.
March 4, 2009 at 08:42
…….I thought Big Johan was pretty good. I know he gave away the free kick that led to the goal but he provides height as an option, & backs himself.
March 4, 2009 at 08:42
GG9
shit i thought it was Kylie Minogue!
March 4, 2009 at 08:45
Pedro
Are you there, I don’t get to see you much, has Miss Pedro put her foot down, re: Le Grove.
& where is Bud & Odub
March 4, 2009 at 08:46
ethan thought what was the singing budgie
March 4, 2009 at 08:46
LOL.
Fair enough. I’d say water boy but guess that’s as important.
Uhm….steward?
March 4, 2009 at 08:49
Iceman – well he does already have the key attribute of being a complete cock and pissing every body off so he could fill that role quite well!
March 4, 2009 at 08:55
PERFECT!!!!
We got a job for him that he would actually excel at.(He’d probably screw that up to but that’s for another day.)
So can we sign a petition please?
March 4, 2009 at 08:57
Pedro is having to work for a living! Song is shit and I just edited Pedro’s post, so if it’s wrong blame me.
March 4, 2009 at 08:57
Morning, you all know i hate Song with all my heart, but i am the 1st to admit that he had a half decent preformance at CB last night against the worst team in the league.
I thought Toure was MoM before being taken off.
March 4, 2009 at 08:57
iceman
It would be of some relief if Le Prof actually came out & said what he sees in Song, coz its got me fucked to be honest.
March 4, 2009 at 08:59
That’s the point, he’s supposed to be a midfielder, you were just happy he was moved.
March 4, 2009 at 08:59
It should be a new post in 30 seconds!
March 4, 2009 at 09:01
Geoff i know, but i just got to give him that little credit, he did one good tackle i liked
March 4, 2009 at 09:03
When our injured players are back he WON’T start games.
That’s something. Hopefully in the summer Barca tap him up to give Hleb company warming benches.
March 4, 2009 at 09:06
Geoff, perhaps you editing it has effed up the automatic post
