Boy if we ever needed a win since Wenger has been here, today is the day. All around but the Chavs winning means having to beat the scum away just to stay in the mix, let me reflect on a few stories of yesterday that need addressing, let’s start with serial victim numero uno ’Emmanuel Eboue’.
He said he was so upset after the Wigan game, that he got home, he had his dinner and went to bed, taking the phone off the hook in the process, the next day all his great mates, Song, Kolo and Adebayor came to his house on their way to training, to him to cheer him up and tell him not to worry, he was still a good player. And since then he has received many emails from the fans apologising for their actions.
Well the three players that went to your house to cheer you up haven’t excactly covered themselves in glory either mate! Did anyone stop to think about being honest with you and telling you why the fans turned on you?
I’m guessing not, let me help you out, it was because you were shit that game, as was Song. I left the ground and was so upset I couldn’t eat my dinner, so I drank instead and wrote a very nasty post, you may remember it.
You were treated badly because you played a dreadful game that almost cost us, and since then you really haven’t improved much, so stop feeling sorry for yourself and sit down with the other three and work out how you can all start improving, rather than blowing smoke up each others arses, that way we will start singing your names from the terraces, as we used to.
Your mate Ade gets paid £80k a week and compared to last year he has been worse than you and the other two.
There that’s the bollocking over, now for the encouragement, Ade has scored 8 times against the scum, 8 times in 8 games, he seems to like doing them, Ade it’s payback time, get in there son, today we need you today as never before.
Alex, you need to show us all why you keep getting chances, I can’t see why, but you did great in the West Ham (away) and Liverpool games so please do that again if you play today, I will be the first to sing your praises, I don’t – not rate you on purpose, I want to love you, believe me.
Kolo you’re forgiven, you have given us years of loyal and great service, I’m putting your form down to malaria and not getting the captaincy when Henry left, go show the spuds why we all still love you.
Now if those four can get their act together we can get a cricket score today because the rest of the team are on fire, Robin and Nasri will rip them to shreds, they are not good enough to beat us and with Eduardo, Wilshere, Bendtner and Arshavin on the bench we are blessed with talent the like of which I cannot remember.

I read with amusement that Barca offered us Hleb plus cash for RVP, ha, ha how must Hleb feel now the wanker.
The worry is that our stars want away if we don’t qualify for ECL football, well perhaps they should tell their boss because although he still believes in his young squad. The stars want Wenger to sign a centre back and a midfielder that can defend, so they see it, we see it but unfortunnately the boss doesn’t, oh well, perhaps today’s the day his faith in his young team is repaid.
But please let’s make a bid for Messi just to stop the Barca bullying if nothing else, they have now said they see us as a selling team, great!
So Gazidas, get Theo and Robin tied down to long term contracts, try reminding Robin how long he’s been injured and his prison ordeal and if you need to then promise them a centre back and a defensive midfielder in the summer.
Finally I remember Robbie Keane saying it was his boyhood dream to play for Liverpool, well it was my boyhood dream to score the winning goal at Shite Hart Lane, well that and something to do with big tits, anyway, perhaps that’s an omen.

i feel alot of the players are not playing as well last year mostly becuase they need a rest but becuase the squad as so little depth they cant in my opinion wenger still needs to add another 2-3 midfield players,alot of arsenal fans including my thought eboue was out of contract but he signed new contact last year i also think wenger should have gon for shay given,it seams the board have made there decision they are sticking with wenger i dont realy agree with that,so wenger has really got get serious next season he needs to get top defender and he also must get at least 2 more midfielders

There has been a distinct change on this site from the earlier days, it used to be somewhat like a friendly atmosphere on here with bickering rather than arguments. It was also about being truthful but now it seems to have turned into a witch-hunt on certain perspectives. Some people just won’t accept any positive views & will just label you a non fan unless you slag the team off. Ramsey was mullered & completely written of for one poor performance at Cardiff.

Eboue probably won’t be around much longer anyway. I’m more than convinced that Arshavin signing alongside all the returning players will signal the end of his Arsenal career.
The thing is even when he does go people will only turn their attentions to other players. I don’t think there ever has been or ever will be a squad where every player has been liked by the fans. It’s not just about the lack of effort he puts in either because players like Perry Groves gave 110% each week but still got slated.

I know I’ve been supporting Arsenal for what have been a succesful 15 years but never have I wanted a player out of the club til now and that is Eboue. Today just sickened me no end.
Pedro – Eboue should be judged on his shocking performances, I just don’t like the hypocrites that use lies as their reasoning for hating the guy. He dives, cheats, whines & moans, has a bad temper & gets stupid bookings, but so does RVP. Bergkamp & Vieira were just as bad, the list could go on.
Don’t label the guy a cheat unless you’re prepared to admit that RVP is also one. Of course there is a massive difference in ability & quality between the two but that doesn’t mean RVP should get backed by the fans for cheating in exactly the same way as Eboue does.
I don’t like Eboue because he’s a crap footballer although he’s actually a decent person off the pitch, I’m a big fan of RVP’s, but I also know what he is at the same time.

Sure we have and had players that ‘bend’ the rules, just look at Bobby Pires, but few of them claim innocence in the way that EE does. I find his onfield persona sickening to watch.
A – I can accept they may not cheat as often, but the fact is a cheat is a cheat. People can’t say Eboue is but then overlook it when RVP dives to win a penalty. I certainly don’t think Eboue spends half as much time on the floor as Reyes used to either & Pires was another who liked eating grass!!
i disagree gmr. Roma are doing worse than us domestically in an inferior league. They won’t be a pushover, but i’d be very very surprised if we went out. In individual games we still havn’t lost a big game this season, and Roma’s style of play should suit us, they won’t play anti-football against us.

Personally, I thought Kolo was very poor. As a Sat parks CB I watch him and Billy closely and it seems to me that KT has lost his confidence and his decision making is awful. Gallas I thought played really well as did Sagna and Clichy too.
I thought Denilson had an ok game but I defend him a lot and today he could have been a lot better, stronger, released the ball earlier and passed to his team mates. Song did ok, especially as the game went on I thought he was solid and won lots of balls and then passed it on nicely.

I also hope Eboue never wears the Arsenal shirt again. Likewise Adebayor. Eboue is just thick. Adebayor is downright dishonest. He schemed his way to a huge payrise last summer and has not done an honest days work since. His public displays of religion before taking to the pitch sicken me. If you claim to believe in god then do the whole thing and work hard – give 100% effort. Surely that is what beliving in god is about? He is going through the motions. Wenger should have sold him in the summer but I’m afraid the gaffers made too many transfer mistakes in recent years.
The other player who I loathe at the moment is Denilson. He is a bigger liability than Song imo. At least we know where Song plays CM – albeit very badly. Denilson also plays badly but he is a bigger liablity to the team – cos he UPSETS THE BALANCE of the team. What does he do? He is neither an attcking CM nor a defensive CM. He cant pass, has no pace, cant takle, doesnt shoot, doesnt score, doesnt set up goals, gives the ball away, lightweight, gets shrugged of the ball too easily. He is just a waste of a player. Thats why were not winning games- cos were playing with 8 and half men most weeks. 7 and a half when Diaby is playing. Can someone tell me the purpose of Denilson?

You see the real class of a player in adversity, when options are limited and he has to dip into his ability reserves to make the most of a situation.
This is where Denilson fails. Big time. He has no hidden depths of talent. What you see is what you get.
Song held his own with Palacious to a large extent. Although Palacios has that extra zest and pace going forward whereas Song is more passive and will do very little unless it’s really needed. However, when it’s needed, he DOES do it. That’s the sign of a potentially class player.
I also did a nice bit of skill before crossing the ball late on.

no you got that completely wrong swedish. I support every arsenal player when they aren’t cheating. I specifically said i don’t stop supporting a player because they’ve cheated in the past, and don’t categorise them as “cheating players”, or “non-cheating players”, because they’ve cheated or not cheated in the past. Every occurence should be analysed individually, and every player who pulls on an arsenal shirt should be supported equally, regardless of personal opinion of the player.
The only time i’ll not support something an arsenal player is doing is when he’s cheating, but the fact that i won’t support a player cheating has no impact whatsoever on my support of the same player when he isn’t cheating
Keyser – on reflection I took it down. There were people there starting up facebook petitions to get rid of him and promoting it and i didn’t want that. There were also Arsenal fans (or so called ones) fighting amongst themselves.
Its just Spurs were there for the taking and 3 points today would have been HUGE. Paulinho – Heh, first half that may be right, I was thinking Paulinho has a point in regards this game, he failed to bring the ball down and control any of the passing movements like Fabregas would’ve, but then he’s Fabregas and thats why he’s soo good, he would’ve made Palacios look the muppet Randall, Ramsey, Merida and Wilshere all did at one point or another.

Denilson and Song both stepped up in the second half, the only reason Palacios found himself cutting past players is because we were being streatched from side to side, but Tottenham were pretty much pathetic trying to break us down. It would’ve been oh soo satisfying to have nicked agoal and then defended our aSs’s off like every other team tries to do to us.

I don’t think he really got any better in the second half. He got turned and left on the floor more times than John Travolta, and anything resembling an ounce of technical talent was beyond him – summed up by a poor paced pass to Song near the end that was very routine.
He has a good engine but then so does your average lawn mower. I think a lawnmower might do a better job.

I think Eboue’s a bit thick and well naive mostly if he thinks he’s going to be treated the same as the big name players, he needs to calm himself down at times.

i think he is paulinho, palacios is ok, still don’t really get his role in a team though, and 15 mil is an absolute joke. He’s just a more powerful eboue playing centre mid, not good enough to play as a proper defensive mid, and doesn’t actually achieve anything going forward
