Boy if we ever needed a win since Wenger has been here, today is the day. All around but the Chavs winning means having to beat the scum away just to stay in the mix, let me reflect on a few stories of yesterday that need addressing, let’s start with serial victim numero uno ’Emmanuel Eboue’.
He said he was so upset after the Wigan game, that he got home, he had his dinner and went to bed, taking the phone off the hook in the process, the next day all his great mates, Song, Kolo and Adebayor came to his house on their way to training, to him to cheer him up and tell him not to worry, he was still a good player. And since then he has received many emails from the fans apologising for their actions.
Well the three players that went to your house to cheer you up haven’t excactly covered themselves in glory either mate! Did anyone stop to think about being honest with you and telling you why the fans turned on you?
I’m guessing not, let me help you out, it was because you were shit that game, as was Song. I left the ground and was so upset I couldn’t eat my dinner, so I drank instead and wrote a very nasty post, you may remember it.
You were treated badly because you played a dreadful game that almost cost us, and since then you really haven’t improved much, so stop feeling sorry for yourself and sit down with the other three and work out how you can all start improving, rather than blowing smoke up each others arses, that way we will start singing your names from the terraces, as we used to.
Your mate Ade gets paid £80k a week and compared to last year he has been worse than you and the other two.
There that’s the bollocking over, now for the encouragement, Ade has scored 8 times against the scum, 8 times in 8 games, he seems to like doing them, Ade it’s payback time, get in there son, today we need you today as never before.
Alex, you need to show us all why you keep getting chances, I can’t see why, but you did great in the West Ham (away) and Liverpool games so please do that again if you play today, I will be the first to sing your praises, I don’t – not rate you on purpose, I want to love you, believe me.
Kolo you’re forgiven, you have given us years of loyal and great service, I’m putting your form down to malaria and not getting the captaincy when Henry left, go show the spuds why we all still love you.
Now if those four can get their act together we can get a cricket score today because the rest of the team are on fire, Robin and Nasri will rip them to shreds, they are not good enough to beat us and with Eduardo, Wilshere, Bendtner and Arshavin on the bench we are blessed with talent the like of which I cannot remember.
Not since the days of the invincibles anyway!
I read with amusement that Barca offered us Hleb plus cash for RVP, ha, ha how must Hleb feel now the wanker.
The worry is that our stars want away if we don’t qualify for ECL football, well perhaps they should tell their boss because although he still believes in his young squad. The stars want Wenger to sign a centre back and a midfielder that can defend, so they see it, we see it but unfortunnately the boss doesn’t, oh well, perhaps today’s the day his faith in his young team is repaid.
But please let’s make a bid for Messi just to stop the Barca bullying if nothing else, they have now said they see us as a selling team, great!
So Gazidas, get Theo and Robin tied down to long term contracts, try reminding Robin how long he’s been injured and his prison ordeal and if you need to then promise them a centre back and a defensive midfielder in the summer.
Finally I remember Robbie Keane saying it was his boyhood dream to play for Liverpool, well it was my boyhood dream to score the winning goal at Shite Hart Lane, well that and something to do with big tits, anyway, perhaps that’s an omen.
You work it out! Have a great day today Grovers, I’ll be switched on for most of it.
4-2 the Arsenal and the faith to be repaid.

A, central midfielders don’t really have a role. Even Vieira, Essien, Keane, and now Carrick, Giggs. They just play their game and if they’re good players it doesn’t matter. Their quality will impose themselves on the opposition.
In the first half, Palacios had his way with both Song and Denilson, showing more verve and ability to pick up the loose ball.
He showed goal scoring instincts in South America so don’t be surprised if he starts banging them in. He had two class shots today and his shot last week led to Bent scoring for Spurs against Bolton.
He is a limited passer, but then so is Denilson.
irish pavlachenko wasn’t named in the squad, arshavin still is though as far as i know? though that’s only going on wikipedia!
remembering the discussion about whether arshavin is likely to be racist, he does appear to be somewhat backwards!! – http://www.russiateam.com/news_2009_1/2009_02_05_01.htm
Paulinho – I do, they tried stretching us moving the ball quickly out wide, and none of the midfield panicked they got into position, picked up the extra man and let the defenders deal with the other, Denilson played better with the confines of the touchline out wide and policed Modric and the extra man well. Just like Song.
Palacios went on a surge because there were huge gaping gaps in the midfield to run into, we kept our shape well and when we’d adjusted he looked like Link lost in the dead-end forests of Hyrule (Legend of Zelda reference there) he had no idea what to do next so deferred to Modric. If Fabregas had had the same amount of space with strikers in front of him you just know he would’ve managed a really good through ball or two.
Palacios it seems has pretty much reached the limits of his ability and if thats what he has to offer, a semi-decent shot and the ability to tackle when he’s got the opposing midfield outnumbered, Tottenham are welcome to him.
I’m off – see ye guys soon
ok, lets hope AA gets a game tomorrow then
that would be great
A
sorry if I’m a dickhead sometimes…beer talking after draws and losses
i disagree completely paulinho. All central midfielders have a specific role, some are fantastic all round, but are still much more effective when a holding mid is behind them, makalele with essien, petit for vieira, keane was different though, and carrick is a weird one and very overrated anyways!
also disagree about palacios having his way with song, i personally thought individually song outplayed palacios, and it wasn’t until we tired and there was more space because of eboue being sent off that palacios found space to accelerate into.
Going forward in english football palacios has been less effective than eboue was in midfield, and he wasn’t even trusted at wigan as good enough defensively – cattermole was used holding behind him. He does make life difficult for opposition, good power and pace, but that’s about it
Irishgunner – Sorry, just trying to make light of it because it sounded like it seemed to generate a bit of heated debate.
A. I think Hiddink gave him time off.
ha no need to apologise swedish, no dickheadedness, just difference of opinions, and happens when we aren’t winning, fans are always gonna get heated and passionate about things, gotta vent somehow!
ah ok, that’s awesome regarding arshavin, maybe he will get a run out tomorrow!! Either way means he’ll pretty definitely start a week tomorrow i’d guess!
So, Arshy should play instead of Eboue next game then?
Oh shucks, thats such a bummer….
But as I said Keyser, he dominated both Denilson and Song when we had eleven. Maybe dominate is a bit strong, but he showed more energy, zest, pace, urgency, decent passing, and a good shot.
Those are not qualities to be sniffed at and at 24 he’s hardly on the way down.
Song has talent but it takes too long for his engine to warm up. He only really grows strong when the the games dies down, which means he – and as a result the team – are susceptible to bristful, vibrant teams early on.
Nearly all agree that EE had to go, but not heard much about the disallowed goal?
according to sky sports centre’s news ticker pompey are gonna announce the sacking of tony adams in the morning. We could always take him back in a coaching role, let him learn the trade a bit more
Keyser – facebook petitions c’mon that took more effort than me clicking “write article” at the top of a page. Thought before today we actually had a shot at second but not so sure anymore sadly
Anyway upwards and onwards, hopefully Eboue has learnt that all refs are bastards
Palacios did have his way with Song, should have saw them after the game, all over each other
Fuck me! Can you imagine that?
Eboue scoring the bloomin winner today!
i disagree with that though paulinho, i thought song dominated palacios if anything. Going on how i saw today i’d much rather have song at the club than palacios, and don’t think palacios will ever be good enough to be a top 4 player, whereas song possibly could
A, Tone in a coaching role??? Have you seen their defending recently, they are going backwards!
A, Vieira and Petit both went forward as many times as eachother. Vieira even said that he allowed Petit to go forward more because he was better technically!
Makelele used to be clever at going forward as well. He knew when to make the stealthy surge when it was needed.
Point is, top class central midfielder don’t restrict themselves, don’t stick to their ‘role’. Even Gilberto could inject some dynamism if needed.
Most teams who play 4-4-2 have two defensive minded players. Doesn’t mean Palacios is average defensively. Bruce was just playing it safe tactically, and Cattermole is hardly Mathias Sammer.
Eboue’s goal should have stood.
Irishgunner – I wasn’t having a go Lol, seriously, I never got to read the comments later on, Eboue’s on a ban, Heh, I hope Diaby’s recovered in time for Sunderland.
ha zorro i don’t mean because he’s such a great coach, i meant for his own good, help him develop! If he wasn’t given much responsibility he wouldn’t be able to fuck us up, and surely must have SOMETHING to offer?!
Come back Flamini!!
MY LATE NIGHT MATCH NOTES…
Almunia…excellent after first 10 mins…saved the game at the end…best game of the season.
Clichy…embarrassed by Lennon all too often, hope the head heals.
Toure…no,over and done with…sad…sell
Denilson…never in a hundred years will he be Arsenal standard…he’s been allowed to start FAR too many games…sell/loan/w.h.y.
Song…yes, very much yes, even the blind are beginning to see through their anger.you were/are WRONG.
Gallas…no drama, just a great game…KEEPER
Ade…disgraceful lack of effort, no skill…again…whaddya do? God knows.
Eboue…ah…best player on the field first 20 minutes…far and away the most creative in attack…his downfall was so sadly and infuriatingly predictable, he needs professional counseling, has for some time… that’s Wenger’s responsibility, why can’t he see this?
overall…well done the ten men!
Eboue has a point his goal shldve stood…if the spurs scored that at the emirates theyd have given it!
I have always thought that Tone might struggle as a boss, seems a little quiet and too studied and I wonder about his demons!
most teams playing 4-4-2 do have one centre mid who is designed to be the holding midfielder, and it’s a very specific role. Doesn’t mean the holding mid isn’t allowed to ever go forward, but having a dm is very very important and makes a massive difference. Gilberto was fantastic at it for us, makalele was for madrid and chelsea, mascherano is very good at it for liverpool. Palacios is average defensively, and average going forward, i just don’t get him, or think he’s worth half the 15 mil spurts spent on him
Paulinho – Dominate is too strong, he had Jenas alongside him, Modric cutting in, the pace of Lennon to pin back Clichy and get Nasri tracking back, and then Keane dropped back to help out.
He doesn’t have any of those qualities in enough quantity, there’s no mystery why he wasn’t seen as a neccessity to keep hold of, if we spent 14 million on a central midfielder in the future I’d be shocked if it was him.
Song doesn’t have the pace to cover the midfield as readily as he would like, I think if we played him as part of a midfield 5, say with Diaby behind the striker he could hold his own against anyone, he’s played well against Chelsea, Liverpool and now Tottenham when we’ve been up against it.
Van Persie barely bothered to drop back in the first half and I think thats partly down to Denilson not starting off well, we instead kept hoofin th ball upfield, once we start getting a few of the others back it’ll be easier to assess, I still think Diaby would have made mince meat of them later on.
Song and Diaby is the way to go in the future.
It’s a shame Diaby wasn’t playing today. He’s showing signs of developing a footballing brain.
“Paulinho – Dominate is too strong, he had Jenas alongside him, Modric cutting in, the pace of Lennon to pin back Clichy and get Nasri tracking back, and then Keane dropped back to help out.”
Keyser, you missed out that all that sun he got on his back, extra vitamin d!
still no news on Diaby’s injury then?
It’s all too easy to look at the negatives of the game.
But I am proud of the way the team stood up with ten men and fought all the way. We defended hard and attacked with speed.
what injury loner????
Also, the referee was crap!
Haven’t heard nowt on Diaby. He’s out usually for a while so hopefully it’s not too bad.
Diaby’s injured innit?
PDT; Once again, Arsenal did well goin down to 10 men, there’s plenty of positives from today, just a shame that we really needed 3 points.
On MotD2, Pearce said Diaby is banned…
The News is reporting that Tony Adams has been sacked as Pompey manager?
There is nothing on the Pompey Site, nothing on the BBC, nothing on sky sports or anywhere else but The News claims that they can ‘exclusively reveal’ that he has been relieved of his duties…
Until something official is confirmed – and I would have thought this would be on there if he had gone? – I will not believe it, but I will say that I am bitterly disappointed, even gutted that this step has been taken after the defeat against Liverpool at the weekend – a defeat that can be in no way attributed to him!
I hope this news is wrong, as I am genuinely gutted and saddened by this ‘news’, even if many would be pleased, and if it is wrong then actions will be taken against the so called ‘Pompey backing’ paper…
PLAY UP POMPEY!
Thats from VitalFootball. Most of the Pompey fans are gutted and they don’t want him gone!
Almunia’s save from Modric was effin top draw!
Would you guys want to get 4th at Chelsea’s expense or at Villa’s?
We did well today, but we need to get a winning streak going. Sunderland is up next? Lets start there. AA and Eduardo should get time. IMO, Wenger is being too cautious with them
pat what’s “the news”? it came along the sky sports centre news ticker thing that he’s gonna be sacked in the morning at about half ten, or that’s when i noticed it anyways and said on here
I know, Im normally positive, but sod it!¬ I think we can and will win our next 10 games!
Villa and the chavs will fight out the last CL spoy, Im still convinced!
Paulinho – Heh, oh come on, if he’d had that then according to you he’d be twice the player Vieira was, with all the dominating he did, he’d be like nuclear man in Superman IV.
i want 3rd pat, not sure who i hate more out of villa and chelsea though.
there’s no way arshavin could have started after only being half way through pre season, and eduardo looked a long way from match fitness in the last reserve game, don’t think we’re being overly cautious with them. Arshavin in 8 days time should be ok to start fa cup, and from then on one would hope
I hope this means we will finally get our defensive coach. And I hope Adams brings Keown with him.
Diaby is banned and injured ? Hmm, hope he’s back for Sunderland, if Arshavin gets a game in the reserves tomorow we’ll know how his fitness is coming along.
Match of the Day2 just announced the sacking of Adams aswell.
“Theres not a hope sp*rs will go down…”
Oi Chiles! No!
Twat
Anyone got a clue what Keane was on about? I heard something about a “horse, dags and curtains for me ma!”
A full week of training for Arshy and eduardo and they can both get some playing time next week….. Spidey sense tingling… Arshy to score and set up one next week!
Leon, sorry for the delay – totally agree though – Wenger MUST be sacked. He’s a fool.
lol jimbo
Also, I hope Eboue can keep playing the way he played before he got sent off. I still think he got a goal and we should have won!
Song only plays well when we’re down 10 men
http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/7857/57293007ti8.jpg
United players reaction when Eboue told them how he hoodwinked Wenger into signing him…
Pat, I don’t care who’s expense we get fourth at, beggars can’t be choosers.
We’re nowhere near good enough though – moron Wenger’s kiddies are nowhere near good enough
What happened I wonder to that other trialist we had at the same time Eboue was having his…. Marco Nee?
Him and Eboue were a right pair against Boca Juniors in the Amsterdam Tournament.
Jimbo;
Still on the happy juice i see…
Jeeez, life’s too short….
Night all…. Nurse!
our counter-attacking is the sorriest ive seen in my life
Paulinho, which match is that pic from? I can’t stand the sight of a grinning Nistelrooy – he was a bigger cheat than boue can ever be!
Jimbo’s back, people, and he is still the same!
Back, and better than ever…
Maybe our counter-attacking will improve with Arshavin, RVP, Eduardo, Walcott/Nasri
Can’t remember PDT. I would have a guess at April 2006, Old Trafford.
http://www.iht.com/articles/2009/02/08/sports/SOCCER.1-425074.php
Rob Hughes on Arshavin – read the last sentence!
Haha! Good to see you back, Jimbo!
i cant wait to see ars shaver make his debut,
do you think he will play against cardiff
or will wenger keep him under wraps till
the fulham game
welcome back jimbo
just admit it grovers we are gonna win fuck all if we continue playing how we are playing i don’t buy all that we were down to 10 men and ressilient bollocks at the end of the day we are supposed to beat all the teams that are lower than us in the table including spurs i think walcott cesc and rosicky coming back will help and also the arrival of arshavin but for now we are very mediocre and i think all we deserve is 6th spot in may, if we carry on our completely uncreative and lack lustre performances everton and villa are simply playing better than us and anyone who kids there self otherwise has problems
and if we were to finish outside the top four all you fans who give up there season tickets and turn there backs are fake wankers and i hope they burn in petrol i would’nt care if we came 12th id still go to every game and shout my nuts off and im doing the im a real fan bollocks but i believe we need fans who are willing to stick by the club through thick and thin not just when were winning stuff !
geoff good post mate but are you living on mars did you actually think we would win 4-2 with this team you would have more chance of seeing the queen smoke crystal meth
how deluded people can say we have great players is beyond me !
yes we have an unproven -unfit arshavin , nasri, cesc if playing along side the right personnel, RVP finally coming good ..
but its the midfield that is killing arsenal song – eboue- denilson -diaby !, how anyone can say these players are arsenal quality is beyond me ! (keyser)
nik-b whilst younger and on par with ade is no shining star either ..
i only laugh at people who state that these players
are talented ! you obviously dont remember a winning quality arsenal team !
one that is fit to do the double or even triple , one that could get us the C.L title we’ve chased for so long !
wenger your dreaming if you think you’ll lift anything other than transfer papers off your desk this season !
i would rather have modric and Palacios in a heart beat over the names above !
hell id rather have lennon than eboue !
and id definitely would rather have Pavlyuchenko than ade !
id rather have woodgate over toure and corluka over eboue also !
redknapp just cant get these players to gel !
and thank fuck for that or we would be hemorrhaging more points !
eboue was our best player until he got sent off at least he had the balls to take the game to spurs i haven’t seen any of our players run with attacking intent for a good couple of months let alone eboue doing it, at the moment none of the players look like they want to wear an arsenal shirt
toure for me had one of his most shocking performances for us in a long while surprisely gallas didnt do to badly clichy was shit im starting to have doubts about clichy he looked weak in the game against hull recently aswell give kiren gibbs a run in the team arsene !
a very angry wenger ..
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/match_of_the_day/7877762.stm
interesting interview the typical im proud of my team bullshit ! but you can see he is very subdued !
with ade injured and eboue missing a game i hope wenger can get the line up right !
also a special note that gallas and almunia where our jint men of the match if you ask me !
well done too those 2 !
ethangunner – When all the players you’ve named couldn’t get together and work one goal out of 50 minutes of playing time with a man advantage, and yet you still they cause you to fawn and revel in seemed ecstasy, it’s no wonder why it’s beyond you.
keyser its all to do with man management .
you can have the most talented craftsmen in the world
but if you give them shit – or no tools to work with
what can you expect .. big ego’s that cannot be controlled and managed correctly , newcastle where the same and even man shitty ..
even us currently .. what is it something like 1 goal in 4 games ..
your in ecstasy yourself talking about chances !
but whats the point in talking about chances if in 360 minutes + of football you only score once ..
be objective not oblivious .
tut tut ethan
no matter how bad things get, they are never EVER bad enough to start coveting the cunts from up the road.
Only if we have signed them a la Sol can we allow ourselves to even admit that they are any good.
In other news, I woke up with a start having just dreamed that Wenger had gone, but in actual fact it’s Big Tone who has had the chop. I am afraid our former legendary captain will never make the grade and will never get that dream job back with us – he simply isn’t a man manager.
As for Eboue, he is on a downward spiral as I said the other day, and he has almost hit rock bottom. The only way he can raise his game is by boosting his adrenaline levels and working himself up – this results in some quality dynamic play at first, but ultimately manifests itself in petulant childish behaviour, which costs us every time. He is not cool calm and collected enough to seize hold of his career and his game and mould it in the correct way. Kolo told us he is thick as shit, and it shows. Wenger can’t realistically continue to ignore the mental issues with Eboue, I do think he will do a Senderos with him this year, he has given him chance after chance but in the end the faith has not been sufficiently repaid. There is enough about Eboue’s game to engender interest from other clubs, and we should not ignore any bids we receive in the summer.
I have defended the guy forcefully in the past, he is technically capable, athletically outstanding, and has huge passion for the club, but you simply cannot overlook the emotional fragility of the guy any longer.
Also the spuds are low – low low on form , look at there position on the table , if we cannot beat a team that is in that ladder position then i wouldnt brag to fucking loud ..
as we couldnt put them out of there misery for 36 minutes either !
besides we aint chasing them , villa are our new rivals
the spuds should have been as easy to beat as west brom currently .
i look forward to your delusional rants in the coming weeks .. it will be hilarious !
yes seb i know , but we are at a new level of LOW in the modern game we have never stooped too before , and currently i knew AA wouldnt make us turn the corner, there is just too much wrong with us !
and we need too much money spent to fix the problems .
money that we wont spend if we are honest with ourselves .
eboue should have never lost his cool , but what do you expect .. play crap players and they will put you in the shit more often than not .
and as for injuries it has been a 3 year problem .
so im getting sick of people stating wait until HE comes back etc.. problem is , the problems wont go away .
seb
The only way he can raise his game is by boosting his adrenaline levels and working himself up
i dont think you want any more adrenaline flowing thru his misguided brain than necessary, he is possibly technically sound however his dramas on the pitch will prevent him from ever being arsenal starting 11 quality.
if he isn’t diving every 5 minutes he’s getting all worked up complaining to officials or whinging to the player he is marking . He needs to act more professional . rosicky was a professional ..
he took a lot of knocks and just got up and played football .. shame he couldnt adapt to the EPL .
and shame he cant stay fit for long enough to be more influential to us .
ethan the part you have quoted is not a suggestion on how he can raise his game, it is a statement of fact about the only way he can and DOES raise his game.
“The only way he can raise his game is by boosting his adrenaline levels and working himself up – this results in some quality dynamic play at first, but ultimately manifests itself in petulant childish behaviour, which costs us every time.”
It is the root of his problems, he can’t approach a game with a clear head because he is simply not intelligent enough to do it, the pressure to perform has blown a gasket in his head. He has the tools to do the job, but not the brain to use them properly.
There is a touch of the old Willy G about him, the Willy G who just could not deal with the responsibility of the captaincy and threw a wobbly on a regular basis. Now he has relinquished the armband, he is back to his world class best. Certain players will only ever be able to cope with a certain amount of pressure, and Eboue can’t cope with the pressure of playing at this level, end of.
Am very appalled with EPL refreeing. That idiot of a refreee deserves to be sanctioned and the first yellow to Ebuoe rescinded. Had it been lampard or Rooney, that card will never have been flashed. Yes, The second card was deserved all things been equal, but then a good refree will not have flashed the second card after giving Eboue an undeserved first yellow.
The idiot of a refreee also disallowed a good goal from Eboue. This guy should not be found near a premiership match. For those guys who criticise Eboue, yes he lost his cool, but he was fired up and pressing Spurs more than any other Arsenal player. He has a brain problem to sort out, but we shall leave that for another day.
There is enough blame to go round. After the first yellow, a lot of Grovers predicted that EE will get a red. Why did Wenger not call him after seeing his mindset and instruct him to take it easy? Or better still why not sub him as a precaution? These are what good coaches do or am I in a different planet?
No matter, the boys did well considering the handicap. I score them 7/10.
Another word for disgrace should be Eboue.
This guy is just not a top club player MENTALLY.
He maybe talented but he is too much of a clown to be playing for a top side.
He would be more suited to a smaller club. He’s just not cut to take pressure. Whinge after whinge. Does this guys have balls?
This was the final straw IMHO.
If we have our injured players back I don’t see him getting a game.
Wenger HAS TO get rid off this guy in the summer….absolute waste of space.
If Senderos was shipped out then this guy shouldn’t be treated any different.
Evening all
So whats the fall out from the spuds game?
Eboue has got to be traded IMO.
Anyway, spuds still couldn’t beat us with more players on the field.
I was hoping the away fans would sing “Your going down with the Baggies” just to stick it up that horrible lot.
I thought the defence battled really well contesting every 50/50 with much vigour. The spanish waiter was our best player. I would give him 9/10.
Gallas & Kolo 8/10
Ade 2/10
Little Nicky
6.5/10 RVP 7.5/10
Denilson 3/10 Sagna 7/10 Song 7/10 (sorry geoff, he was good in the 2nd half, just couldn’t shoot straight)
Clichy 6.5/10 Nasri 7/10
Did I miss anyone, oh yes EE27 -1/10 Gibbs 2/10 (not on long enough.
ethangunner – Seriously, did you mention objectivity, fuck me, did I just read that from you ? I mean of all people YOU, objectivity ? I don’t know whether to laugh or cry here, if I start one it’d probably lead to the other anyway.
Tottenham beat Liverpool and drew with Chelsea spend 45 million in the transfer window and couldn’t beat us with 10 men, there’s some objectivity for you hows that ?!
I’m glad you derive some pleasure from my delusional rants, unfortunately yours carry more a sense of dismay and general shock.
Still good to have you around, Heh.
We need more height @ the back; I don’t think Song will ever be 1st choice, but he contested yesterday. We are sadly lacking in the holding midfield position. Get Flamini back, its that simple.
I think that was a good result under the circumstances. We lose our version of Fred Astaire & Ginger Rogers before half time but the rest kept their heads held high. And it was a derby so, form, etc go out the door.
If we had 11 V 11 though we should have got all 3 points so bugger eboue, he lacks discipline & good disposal. He sould go
nothing for 50min? wow
Ethan perhaps you should fuck off up the seven sisters road.
kelsey ,
sorry but what are you trying to prove ?
one week hull are easy beats the next they can
roll over anyone ! so the same can be said of the spuds.
from our past 3 encounters with them we have drawn 2 and lost 1 !
comparing ourselves to them is justifiable currently
in fact they are proving a handful …
that is objective ..
and GG9 with wengers sub’s we wouldnt have won anything even if we played with 12 !
Also i can tell you , the post today wont be one to match your tone kelsey , it will be more like my tone !
NOT FUCKING GOOD ENOUGH ! eboue is a wanker
and the boss has lost the plot – AGAIN !
we cant even roll over the spuds when they are on a downer !
thats the way normal people think !
the truth be known ive heard it all before kelsey,
you sound like wenger …
we were resilient and brilliant and we played with character , deserved to win yet didnt !
the truth be known NO goals were scored , and if anyone looked like scoring it was them , to me almunia stopped a few blinders , and for once was fit to wear the arsenal shirt .
He must of been close to MoM for us .. either than or gallas , another home favorite !
hello,
did someone mention my name in my absence.
Morning all, I just spent an hour going through the comments since last night.
Two things, Eboue should fuck off, he’s a disgrace, he should have been taken off as it was clear to all apart from blind pew (Wenger) that he was going to get sent off.
Song is not good enough, I must have read on here from a dozen Song lovers that he was good in the second half, bollocks, we can’t have a player that occasionally wins a tackle in the team, would you have him over Alonso, Mascerano, Edu, Vieira, Selly? Would you fuck, we are Arsenal not Wigan, he’s hopeless.
I even read people saying it was because he’s black, for fucks sake half our team are black, it’s narrow minded and stupid to use that as my excuse.
Here is the deal, Bergkamp, Cesc, Vieira, Henry and Arshavin are great, that’s a great player, Edu, Grimandi, Flamini, Sagna are good, that’s a good player.
Eboue and Song are hopeless. Denilson will be good one day but not good enough yet, same with Ramsey and Wilshere and that’s why they don’t start, so why do Denilson, Eboue and Song???
That’s it nothing to add. Help! I was kidding about Selley by the way.
goonermichael
perhaps i could make your 50 year old body fuck off to your local emergency hospital ward , where you can get used to drinking thru a straw for the next 6 months
Morning All.
How is it that a simple disagreement about the quality of play/players ends up in in a playground ‘my balls are bigger than yours’ game.
Grow up ….
Geoff
My thoughts were about the game not where the club stands. I was a wreck for the last 15 minutes, but the backs held on. That is a plus to take on, but, if you take away RVP’s last dtch effort against Everton, Arsenal haven’t scored in regular time for 4 games. That is a disgrace, & cannot be defended by Wenger.
Song ain’t going to cut it, we all know that.
Just how big Raddy? are you bragging? At my age I don’t tend to brag about testicle size, I’m thinking about reductions!
Geoff,
Whilst agreeing with you about Song’s ability, he did have a decent game yesterday. I would love it if we had any of the quality DM’s you mention, but for the time being , we are woefully short. Within the limits of his talent, Song played OK.
I also noticed Clichy get a slagging – I don’t recall Lennon having a good game. One or two crosses, the occasional run into a blind alley. Clichy had him in his pocket
ethan
It was a derby, which a draw, if you are 3 points clear on top or well etrenched in the top 4, a good result. But I think we are all frustrated due to what has taken place prior to this
ethangunner – You talk yourself in circles without ever going anywhere.
Heh normal people ? Oh please please don’t.
So Spurs have a great squad with great players because they can beat anyone on their day and lose the next aswell, this just means they are inconsistent but still a bunch of seasoned professionals with the only missing factor being a manager with good man management skills, despite this being the 3rd manager in just over a season.
Yeah totally get what you’re on about, they looked like scoring, we had a debatable goal ruled out, great piece of objectivity there on the topic of objectivity, there that sounds like circular reasoning must mean I agree with you.
ethan you’re great..
well said geoff and ethan u are right im sick
of hearing we should of won we were resilliant and showd desire! we didnt at all they were happy to draw
after the sending off
ive looked at fixtures now and if we are not any close by the end of march we are fucked because we have far easier games than everyone else plus thats when the likes of cesc and maybe rosisky will be bk
and whats the point in buying an aston martin and leaving it on the drive AA
hi guys
what have we turned into?
we are so shit
LOL Geoff.
I think you know I wasn’t writing about you .
And “unfeasibly large testicles” is something to glory in, don’t have the op … I had it a few years ago, and it is v. painful.
To still call yourself Big Raddy after the op I see
GG9
totally agree , a disgrace ! how we can say we looked superior to the spuds is pure fiction ..
its a measuring stick .. and its a game where we failed to win another ‘MUST win game’ …
we were holding on in the end there ! and anyone with 2 fucking eyes could see that !
our quality of players on the pitch are shite , and to have vela sitting in the stands when we needed someone who could run at them ,& we have other options like jack and ramsey who are being overlooked every week for faces like eboue and song is an unimaginative disgrace !
The ‘beans’ may be reduced but the sausage remains a mighty weapon, GG.
I am sick & tired of players having long term injuries, which means I’m sick of seeing the likes of Song & Eboue & Denilson sarting as 1st option.
Its frustrating, now I know how Andrew Strauss feels
LOL GG
keyser
get off the grass , forget club rivalries for a second and be fucking objective !
we didnt look superior to them , even prior to the sending off , im judging us against a team that is facing a relegation battle and we are still left wanting ! !
twist my points to your AKB ways if you will
but i cannot expect someone with no objectivity
to have an objective debate !
its great to be a 1 eyed supporter who see’s no wrong in last nights game !
but the facts remain we almost got rolled by them , and its people like you who give wenger the faith to keep on going down his same old path !
Arsene has made us and is currently breaking us with a vengeance
thursday nights next season uefa cup sorry europa cup action
wo! Hoo!
for those waiting on injured players to come in to change things it wld be too late IMO
have u peeked into our fixture list? in the last 5 weeks of the season we are playing pool, utd, chelski
we are fucked…. think u have seen a bad transfer window regards to our good players being linked elsewhere…. next summer would be worse
for me arsene has to go
there are several managers that can ensure we finish in the top 4 every year trophyless thats all he has done for 4 seasons.
a top manager that rates players like eboue, song, denilson, ade has lost it.
No-one, from AW to the plastic fan wants to see a midfield like yesterday. But against a midfield that cost almost £50m – they did OK.
Had we had our first choice MF out yesterday, we would have won easily.
Good call Raddy I’ll bear that in mind!!! I make you right about the pissing contest last night though, shame I wasn’t around to mediate, they all had good points but there is never a need for slagging.
if we were in the bottom 3 i bet A and Keyser wld still see the glass half full
NEW POST!
ethangunner – Heh didn’t take you long to pull up the AKB thing, it’s like a little crutch to try and support any point you make.
I’m not twisting anything, you keep going on about this great squad Tottenham have got and then how shit we are for not beating them, but thats makes sense because they play shit against us but great against anyone else.
raddy if cesc were fit either denilson or song wld still have played. they are both not good enough. they are light years behind what we need. any manager that had rosicky in his plans is a blnd optimist. walcott was a stop start. nasri is learning his trade. eduardo wasnt exactly david villa b4 his injury and would have needed time to settle psychologically. why did arsene leave us so bare???? i wldnt say i knew things wld pan out like this but the writings were on the wall. only a stupid person wld embark on a long distance trip with a dodgy spare tyre. wenger does this time and time again
Franchise – heh, great point, ingenious for you.
Franchise,
What makes you say this. I am fortunate enough to be a glass half full person, though that point of view is well tested by the amount of negativity on LG.
It is clear that injuries are costing us dear this season, but you (plural) prefer to see it as a permanent Arsenal problem.
Arsenal are NOT in crisis. With a full team we would be challenging.
Cesc is pivotal to this team, but we lost him for 4 months. How do you think the Bindippers would be without Gerrard for half a season. They only just scraped through against Pompey FFS.
yes BR
but the simple fact is we dont have the depth .
if we did we wouldnt be playing the 3 stooges every week !
but like you said V’s a midfield costing 50 mil they did ok !
but OK wont win us shite !(and thats my point!)
it will keep the club operating and the rich ones will keep getting richer , taking advantage of their fan base all the while and the kelsey’s of this world will continue to go to the game and think the sun shines out of the managers ass !
it was a MUST WIN GAME !
and there was no desire there !
and is a bitter pill to swallow !
we were no better or worse than them last night and thats the plain simple truth !!!
like it or lump it i dont give a fuck what you think .. i know what i saw !
